Hi Brit,
After the last visa bulletin, 2NL has been already sent for case around 7200-7300 in Nepal as per the groups I am in but not above that. Could there be a reason for 2NL not being sent from 7300 onwards to 8500?

Does that mean its performing badly? Or could it have mean they just have small number of winners or maybe they winners have larger case numbers that are still to come?

They only have 9 selectees in that country – probably 4 or 5 cases. For the year.

Hello BritSimon
As the results for the DV 2025 lottery approach, and in case we are drawn, I wanted to ask whether it would be a better idea to stay in the USA [we have a non-immigrant work visa] or to book a visa appointment abroad. I also wondered if our work visa expires before a DV interview [assuming one gets to that stage] can USCIS grant you the ability to stay while you wait for this to happen.

The specifics on that would really depend on your case number, home embassy and so on. It’s best to wait until you’re selected, and then evaluate which way to process your case. I processed my own case via adjustment of status – so that is an option (with pros and cons versus Consular Processing).
