Hello Simon
I am a DV2018 winner from Nepal and I am in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend from Kenya. we would have gotten married in few years however as i have gotten DV i would like us to go together but it seems so confusing. I have not submitted my DS260 yet because i am not sure how to get us both together for marriage and interview as live so far. I also have a feeling that us applying as husband and wife can have them doubt on us because 1)we have a distant relation, 2)Nepali and African are not a common match 3) the marriage will be right before applications.
What are your views on it? Thanks in advance 🙂
August 17, 2017 at 21:07
Your concerns are valid. You can’t include him unless you get married and your marriage will seem suspicious. So – it is up to you to decide whether you want to try or not.
August 18, 2017 at 08:17
Thank you Simon. I might then apply single. What if i go to his country to get married after i get the green card? Will it still look suspicious?
August 18, 2017 at 14:32
You will always have to prove the marriage is genuine because the Green Card is very sought after.
August 19, 2017 at 15:16
Yes sure. Thank you so much.
August 18, 2017 at 02:12
I have question I hope you can answer it!!! I win lottery I am in US i hv student visa but will be expire end of this year. In 2016 I applied for asylum i got case numbers and i did finger print, but I didn’t ask for work permit i’m still have student visa is that effective in green card
August 18, 2017 at 02:47
You must remain in status – so depending on your case number that might or might now be possible.

Hi sir I am from Nepal , and I am 2018 lottery winner I have some confusion that before winning 2018 lottery I fill the form using other email id because that I forget my id password so during DS260 form I changed the email and put my husband email id sir now it would be a problem ? I heard that they will send the notification by previously id only … How we get the notification now any idea sir
August 18, 2017 at 06:24
You don’t need the email. When the 2nlss are sent – you simply check the ESC page – that is where you see the interview details
August 19, 2017 at 06:33
Sir they don’t send the notification to the new email which I kept in DS260 form..? and without notification of second letter how we know the interview dates and all ….. Waiting for your response thank you
August 19, 2017 at 06:41
Check the site that u were notified that u hv bin selected. Ur 2NL would be there.
August 19, 2017 at 15:07
Check the ESC page https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/esc

Hi there, Brit. I want to participate in the lottery, but i have some quetions due to my job and business. I am computer graphic specialist, and total amout of my job/projects are done through remote freelance. Can some feedbacks or recommendation letters(some from US) work as approvement for my job experience? Also, i am matching 4(or more) professions from the list on US Labor site, and on them i have actually more than 2 years of experience, on each. I mean, there is, for example, graphic designer, interior, animator, illustrator, 3d artist and all of these professions is that what i did through the whole that two years. Should i choose one of it, or should i provide whole list what i have? Will my portfolio do some real deal through my approving? Earlier i had some experience in working on salary. And i have some marks about that in document, also in the same trade as i said. But it was about 7 years ago. should i use this too?
Also, my wife is in the same trade. We work together, sometimes. But she has only one occupation – illustrator. She can get some approving letter from the author she works with in US. Will that be legit if she will have only books that she produced for that author and his recommendation letter?
I am asking it, because i have doubt about my country education value, does it fit to high school if i have finished school in Ukraine and was studying in institute, and left it on 2nd year. Can it be interpreted as one that fits to requirements of visa approvement?
What documents can approve my work-ability if i am freelancer?
regards.

Hi Simon,
Some days ago I received the 2NL for October Interview (DV2018).
Everything has been fine till now.
Today I checked my case at CEAC website. There was displayed a strange view.
All my Family Members are Status COMPLETED, but was ADDED a NEW ROW
for every family member. And is typed : START NOW (below the IV Application column).
Every member is DOUBLED row. One Status “COMPLETED”, one Status “START NOW”
I clicked the START NOW, and now my Status in INCOMPLETE in DS-260 Form.
Do you know what is that? And why are added automatically these rows??
Normally when the Interview date is FIXED, the applicant cannot made any further change,
and I don’t know if these recent change had any sense ??
I’m concerned now, about my case process.
Thanks a lot
Sander
August 18, 2017 at 14:24
I have not heard of that before.
August 18, 2017 at 20:28
Hi Simon,
I wanna explain you that about one month ago I sent an Email to the Embassy where I will be interviewed. They told me that : When I will have an Interview date by KCC, I can send an Email to the Consulate and they can UNLOCK the DS-260 Form, IF I want to do any further change. This can be the reason that now I can make changes in the DS-260 and is added one Row for every applicant in my case.
But I’m not sure, what’s the real reason.
Thank you for your time Simon
Sander
August 18, 2017 at 21:16
Yes that is probably why. They unlocked and you never resubmitted. It shouldn’t be a problem.
August 19, 2017 at 08:42
Checked CEAC, and I have these double lines as well. I never asked KCC to reopen the DS260. I am scheduled for an interview in Oct. CEAC shows that the case is currently at the embassy. Strange.
August 18, 2017 at 22:34
Hi sander
I have the same problem .
I think we dont have to fill this one coz this one asking about the PETITIONER . In dv lottery form ds260 , we have work education training . I dont what you think about it . Check the list again you see petitioner .
August 19, 2017 at 01:40
Hi Iron,
I think you are right. It’s a big possibility to be related with the PETITIONER. Because now I remember that, When I did Unlock Request at KCC, I forgot to ask for request and for the little baby aswell. KCC unlocked DS-260 only for me and my wife (the baby remained unchanged). I changed the PETITIONER and now I & my wife have the same (NEW) Petitioner and the child has the old Petitioner.
The Consulate Staff have seen this difference in DS-260 (now my case is at the Embassy not in KCC), and they have offered a new ROW to correct the changes.
Should be related and with the work experiences aswell. But I have already described the work details at DS-260.
Anyway I will ask the Consulate, for what steps should I follow.
Good Luck in the Interview date, Iron

Hi Simon,
I have a question about California Driver License.
I will activated my immigrant visa and make my first entry next week. I will be in the US (California) for a couple of weeks and then I will leave for about 2 and a half months.
Can I apply for driver license after my return to the US?
Thanks

August 18, 2017 at 14:47
Tell them that you are concerned about the September 30th deadline and want to check exactly what is the current status, and when you will be interviewed. That is what you are trying to achieve – in your words.
August 18, 2017 at 15:11
Good day sir,me from west afrique .my son is 18 n won with us .do u thinks he go to interview with us n no problem because I read post here u talked about birth certificate. My son birth certificate is four months old since we get it.

Pls advice

August 18, 2017 at 16:34
There is no problem with including him in your application.
August 18, 2017 at 15:18
Dear simon thank u for your advice to dv winners .IAM from Nepal .IAM quite surprised and nervous after the interview. My interview was scheduled on 17 of July as per second letter.unfortunately medical assessment was delayed by 2months due to sputum test and it came out negative.Embassy reshedule the interview for 7th of august but again they phoned me and reshedule for 15th of august.when I went for interview the embassy staff said visas are limited they can no gurantee visa and I have to take risk.so I took risk and continue my process .the co took interview and she said my documents r perfect and kept my passport .finally she said she canot garantte the visa. My CEA status is ready. Brit why r they doing this to my case.is it normal. And the casesnot reshudule r getting visas. Please tell me why is it so?
August 18, 2017 at 16:37
Visas are allocated to cases as they are scheduled. So – yours was allocated for July. When your case was not decided by the end of July, the embassy had to release that allocated visa back to KCC. When your case was rescheduled and interviewed by the embassy August, they have to ask KCC to allocate a visa for your case – which may or may not be available. All you can do is wait and see.
August 23, 2017 at 11:32
Thanks for your support. Iam quite confused with my situation after interview.my case is on ready in ceac even after one week is this normal?why some cases similar to mine interviewd on the same date and place are in ap and mine in ready ? Please clarify this to me .
August 23, 2017 at 14:02
It is normal. Relax.
August 26, 2017 at 10:50
Thank you, brit, from the core of my heart for the genuine suggestion for all dv winners.I have got visa approved from ktm.iam planning to move to Us at the end of November.can I apply Green card from nepal now and travel before expiry date on my visa ?
And finally brit Simon is great!!
August 26, 2017 at 13:49
You apply for your Green Card by entering the USA with the immigrant visa. Your must do that before the visa expires.
August 18, 2017 at 15:38
Hello Simon, I win 2018 DV and I stay in USA with F1 visa. I have three kids two of them are Americans and they have medicate insurance and I take Wic twice. Is that affecting my case by bad way ?

August 18, 2017 at 16:24
Hello Mr Simon
I am a dv2017 applicant. I went for 1st interview on three weeks ago. The embassy has called me to come prove why all my documents show three names but it’s two names on their system. Meanwhile I registered with three names(1NL,2NL n ds260 all have 3 names)
What documents should I go with? And how do I defend myself?
August 18, 2017 at 17:08
Show the 1NL, 2NL and DS260 – obviously!
August 18, 2017 at 19:07
Hello simon !
CN 3XXX EU DV2018
I submited ds260 on 8 may

Thanks in advance
August 18, 2017 at 19:25
Did you check the FAQ?
August 18, 2017 at 21:20
Yes but what do u think in that case ?
August 18, 2017 at 21:08
Sorry Simon that I’m answering in your behalf.
@ Dv2018
As Simon has said hundred of times, When you UNLOCK the DS-260 Form does not cause any delay. It’s more than 100% true.
I’m DV-2018 Selectee and happened exactly as Simon said. I unlocked 3 times the DS-260, and I received the 2NL for the end of October. I completed the DS-260 on the end of the May, that’s why the Interview will be in the end of October.

August 18, 2017 at 21:59
What is your case number?
August 18, 2017 at 22:02
2018S….23XX
August 18, 2017 at 22:09
You mean 2018SA23XX. OK – that is a very high number. What it means is there is NO possibility of an interview this year – and I am sorry to say it is quite likely your number is too high to get an interview at all. All you can do is wait and see what happens. More explanation is here:
https://britsimonsays.com/dv2018-selectee-numbers-published/
August 19, 2017 at 01:48
So. You think because my high number that i am not going To receive an interview? Si very 99% possibly that? :,(

August 19, 2017 at 00:13
Hello Simon
Hope you are fine . I arrived in US on 11th and (activation trip ) I’m going back to London on 22nd . I will be coming back to settle in January next year . when I checked to register for a Social Security number the website says I need to wait at least 10 days to apply from my fist entry . Since I won’t be staying that long , can I apply for the SS number when I comeback in January
Many thanks
Sujan Hett
August 19, 2017 at 00:21
Yes, but it would be better to apply now so you are not delayed when you come back in January.
August 19, 2017 at 00:27
Dear Brit!
Thanks for your great help to humanity.
Considering your huge bagage of wisdom, will you advise I file taxe returns(family of 4) online or does this really demand the service of an accountant??
I worry because I do my best to stay out of debts in the US not to mention of having scores with IRS.Someone told me an accountant could do things his own way!!
Thank you for teaching..
August 19, 2017 at 03:15
It’s up to you.
August 19, 2017 at 04:05
Hello brit
Hope you are doing well..and I would like to thank you for helping people with DV cases problem…
I am winner of 2017 from Nepal. I had a problem with my chest x ray during my medical test and I was called for sputum test continuously for 3 days and kept sputum for CULTURE for 2 months and later I was known clearance with my medical..But in between I got rescheduled my interview for 3 times. The first one was on July 10 and because of some doubt on my medical it got postponed on August 7 and again it got postponed on August 15th. When I went for the interview on August 15th I had fine document with clear medical reports. But CO said there is limited visa available for 2017 and said the embassy will let me know if there is visa available for me. They took my passport and later I checked my visa status and found on AP. So my question is
What is the chances of getting visa on my case?
Thank you for your time.
Warm regards

i was AP after my interview on 25th of may, and still am. i just received this email :
Dear applicant,
Please be informed that the administrative processing on your file has been completed. However, some of your documents may have expired. Please check that your medical examinations are still valid. Please submit these updated documents along with two new photos (5×5) and any listed in the 221(g) Additional Information sheet.
The Executive Order provides exemptions for individuals who are able to demonstrate a bona fide relationship to an individual, academic institution, or employment in the United States and who are otherwise qualified for the visa category for which they have applied. For all relationships, half or step status is included.
If you have already been found eligible for a visa and have a qualifying relationship, please send the shenasnameh for yourself and your qualifying relative(s).
ATTENTION: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN A VISA BE ISSUED OR AN ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS OCCUR IN YOUR CASE AFTER SEPTEMBER 30, 2017.

they’re asking for additional documents ? i really don’t understand what they want.
would u help me please?
August 19, 2017 at 04:47
They are telling you that you can be approved IF you can prove a bona fide relationship with a US resident. Do you have someone?
August 19, 2017 at 11:58
does bona fide mean that is i have any reliable family in US. ? cuz i have many. rich and wealthy ???
August 19, 2017 at 12:03
or it means if there’s a female U.S citizen that i’m in a relationship with? i’m confused, sorry.
why would they ask me a Q like that ?!!! they already have all my docs !!!!?
August 19, 2017 at 15:02
This is about the travel ban. Have you not been paying attention to the updates???
August 19, 2017 at 15:02
Bona Fide means REAL GENUINE. THen the letter describes exactly what relationship would be acceptable. You need to start paying attention to what the letter says. Your case will NOT be approved unless you can prove this relationship. Take this seriously and study it. So – do you have a relative that resides in the USA or not – it’s a simple question!
August 20, 2017 at 09:12
yes man ofcourse i pay attention to every single letter you’ve sent since the last two year. and i appreciate you for that and thank full to God that i was lucky to even find and know you.
not to mention i’m the only one likeing your updates on Twitter.
ofcourse i have resides relatives in USA. so i should call and ask them to back me up and be my sponsor right ?
so even while i’m from Iran and i’m already in the banned category, there’s still a chance that i could be issued a visa !!?
August 20, 2017 at 14:33
You have to follow the instruction in the letter – and will need to PROVE your relationships of people in the USA – so get them to send copies of their birth certs that show the family line. Yes you can be exempted from the ban if you can prove the relationship.
August 22, 2017 at 06:53
ow damn man, i think they have to be first degree family members. like brother sister cousin or parents 🙁
August 22, 2017 at 13:29
I have already explained that in several blog posts – I thought you read everything.
August 22, 2017 at 21:33
I do man, i used to read everything word by word and several times each. But since the supreme court thing i just lost hope and didn’t realy read everything. Just a general look.and now,
After all the hopes and energy and money i’ve spent so far, even the family that supportsdoesn’t count and it has to be first degree member.
I’m just realy realy disapointed brotha.
I know it’s just words but again
Thanks a world man
Please let me know if i ever could be any help or anything for u in Iran

Hi Mr. Britsimon, I am the winner of 2018 lottery in Kazakhstan, so I submitted ds260 and showed Almaty for interviews, but now my work place has changed to another country.
What should I do?
Best regards
August 19, 2017 at 15:05
I don’t know what you mean about “almaty”. If you have not been scheduled, you can contact KCC to unlock your DS260 and change your address, and also your embassy.
August 19, 2017 at 12:20
Hello Brit,
Thank you so much for your kind information.
already checked Federal poverty guideline for i-134, for 6 person the total income should be 32900. and my sponsor has around 36000 income. according to 100% of the federal poverty guideline this amount is fine, but according to 125% of poverty guideline which should be around 42000 so it is not sufficient.
1. i should consider to the 100% of the federal poverty guideline. am i right Sir?
2. i am in japan an my interview will be held in Tokyo. what do you think Sir, they will ask about i-134 or not.
3. if the income of the sponsor is not enough what the sponsor should add to the form i mean if he mentioned about the value of his asset that he has like house, car or any extra asset that he has, does he can complete the requirement of i-134 or not?
i mean if the income of sponsor is less than poverty guideline is there any way for sponsor for completing the i-134 form.
waiting for you replay Sir,
August 19, 2017 at 14:59
1. Yes
2. Possibly.
3. If the income doesn’t meet the requirement, it is useless.
August 19, 2017 at 13:37
Hi simon
Do I have to bring my second conformation page to the interview . If I resubmitted ds260 form.
August 19, 2017 at 14:51

August 19, 2017 at 14:11
Hello Simon
I am selectee of DV 2018 Case EU27XXX
I’m apllicant.
My question is following
I have been married for last 3 years and have adorable 2 year old daughter. Last few months me and my husband are separated. We are having a good relationship as friends and I don’t want my daughter to be growing up away from him, so we decided to keep marriage in order to get GC.
After moving to USA when could we officially divorce so he will obtain his residency?
Thank you in advance.
August 19, 2017 at 14:50
When you enter the USA you get Green Cards that are not conditional. So if you divorce the next day after entry that is technically no problem.

August 19, 2017 at 14:31
Hello Britt how are you! we attended the infopass appointment and the person in charge of the process of dv lottery has not yet received our files from KCC and also he needs our first files application for asylum. He will request both and will contact us when he recieved it and then make the appointment. If he don’t contact to us next week, he recommended to us, get another infopass App to make pressure because deadline is close.
August 19, 2017 at 14:43
OK – that sounds good. It is good they understand the deadline.

Hello Simón!! My question is: I had a son 16 years ago in the United States but I was never illegal in the country we returned to my home country before my son expired my stay and my American citizen son has only gone on vacation with us, now What do we win the visa lottery as a family also has an added, and has some drawback? I could be disqualified. Thank you for your help.
August 19, 2017 at 15:50
Your question is very unclear – but I think you are asking if your son being a US citizen already is a problem for the DV lottery case. No it isn’t.
August 19, 2017 at 16:27
Do you think is necessary to contact kcc by myself too? For your experience how long time can takes send flies? If you have any idea. Thanks a lot!
August 19, 2017 at 20:39
There is no need to contact KCC. The FO has to ask – then KCC send the file – it is electronic – so no delay. That is not what will take the time – the asylum case is the most important.
August 20, 2017 at 00:36
The rare thing is in uscis web site says: I-485 is already on Field office. And he was looking my case with my A number in my permit job. And that number is for my asylum case. Don’t you think he must look with my A number for DV? Do you understand what I means? Sorry by my English and the translated sometimes don’t write very well.
August 20, 2017 at 02:54
Hi Gfol, BritSimon, I have pending asylum case, applied in January 2017, after that, we were selected for dv2018, how you see your case for AOS? I believe is simalar to our, I am thinking, if, I will have a real opportunity to get the GC in this way. My case is for 2018SA7XX. Thanks in advanced for your attention.
August 20, 2017 at 04:22
As long as you have not been out of status, you can adjust status once your number is current.
August 20, 2017 at 16:15
Hi BritSimon, we never been overstay, our application was received on January 15 and our I-94 expired on February 8, We were selected for DV2018 in May 2 2017. Do you believe,we could be fine? Thanks.
August 20, 2017 at 17:10
I am not an AOS expert – so I don’t try and answer those questions. Check the link below for accurate AOS information.
http://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2018-aos-only.336256/
August 20, 2017 at 04:24
No, I don’t know what that means.
August 19, 2017 at 16:40
Dear Simon,
Thank you very much for all your efforts to help people. Unfortunately, I am not a DV lottery winner, however, a friend of mine and his wife (legally married couple with two children) both did win DV lottery at the same time and since they do not speak English they asked me to address their question to you.
So, the question they have is the following:
“Since we both won DV lottery, should we both apply for separate interviews or only one of us (husband or wife) should apply for an interview?”
They think if they both apply for interviews, they might be disqualified due to wasting the time of interviewers.
Therefore, Simon your expertise and advice would be very much appreciated. I thank you very much for your help and will be looking forward to hearing from you soon.
August 19, 2017 at 20:41
The principal winner creates a DS260, and adds DS260s for the spouse and each child. They submit that together – and then their case processes as one case. They all interview together. They MUST read the instructions provided to them in their letter that said they were selected.
August 19, 2017 at 21:33
Hello Simon,
I won the DV2018, I am in the US, on F1 graduating december 2017. I am going for AOS, I did the DS260, received KCC email, paid the DV fees, did the medical exam, got all the documents ready. My case # is AF10xxx, it will be current in November. I will send my package as soon as October VB is published. Kindly, could you advise on the following points:
1. Do you have an estime of Hartford, CT FO processing time, from the feedback you are getting?
2. Could you suggest good/cheap translation services?
3. The email I did receive from KCC after filing DS260, does it mean that KCC did its share of the process, and that as soon as my number is current and I have an interview date, my file will be sent to the FO? Is that the background check part?
4. As I do graduate December 2017, if by then I still did not get my GC, should I start the OPT process, or I cannot do that since I am doing the AOS? In case I can’t, what will be my status after December 2017, while waiting for the AOS?
5. Do you think it is a good Idea to file for AOE while doing the AOS?
Thank you for this useful platform
August 19, 2017 at 21:46
1. The spreadsheet linked from post 1 in the thread below has timelines.
2. I don’t know of any
3. No – the FO will request that from KCC when they are ready to do so.
4 & 5. Ask on the thread below
http://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2018-aos-only.336256/
By the way – I suggest you wait until October 1 to file.
August 19, 2017 at 21:55
Thank you so much for your prompt response.
Just to make sure I got this one right. So even if my number is current in September (VB for October), I should wait until October 1st to mail the package? I should not use the two months early filing?
August 19, 2017 at 22:17
Yes. Because although early filing is the accepted procedure – there is higher chance of rejection of the package and refusal by the FO on the grounds of incorrect early filing (even though that would be wrong).
For the sake of two weeks – wait until October 1.
August 19, 2017 at 22:22
Thank you so much. I will wait

August 20, 2017 at 11:41
Hi britsymon, im a dv lottery winner i have 3 kids all of them under 13 year old, when we move to usa will they need to apply for green card also? do minors need to apply for green card, or they can just stay then apply when their 18?
August 20, 2017 at 14:27
Your kids should each have their own DS260. They will then get GCs when you do.
August 20, 2017 at 11:55
Ok Britt let me try to explain you. When applies for asylum, you recieve at 150 days your AOE and has your A number ZRC XXXXXXXXx (3 letters i don’t remember exactly which letters they are).
Then, when applis for AOS, your case has another letters SRC XXXXXXXXX.
At infopass they first Q was, your have been applied for Asylum as well, after that the attendant call by phone to the person at DVCases. When we go with him, he asked by the A number and ask for my AOE, in my AOS is the first application numbers (ZRCxxxxxxxx) you see the difference?
He never seek at the system with my case number SRC (DV).
I suppose he can see all my cases just with 1 Case number.
By any case, I’ll take another infopass App to check again and make me sure. Time is gold at this time ???.
Thank you
August 20, 2017 at 14:25
Yeah -look for another infopass for about 2 weeks time.

August 20, 2017 at 12:28
Brit,
Thanks once again for your tremendous help.
Needs some clarification and advice.
With regards to places i have stayed since 16 years. I had two stints with China. First from August 2009 to July 2012 which I included in my DS-260 and have requested Police Records to cover this period
Second time was August 14th, 2013 to January 21st 2014 which is less than 6 months and did not include that in DS-260. The duration is less than 12 months but i believe the police department in China may add that in the police records.
1. Assuming they choose to add the second stint in the police records, will it have any impact at the interview and if so should I unlock it and include it before my interview which may be somewhere December or January considering the historical trends.
2. Or Should I give specific instruction to the Chines Police Department to give the police record covering my first 3 years.
3. Advice please
Thanks a lot
August 20, 2017 at 14:19
Correct the DS260 to have the correct address history. Do that now.
August 20, 2017 at 12:55
Dear Simon I have my interview date by kcc on 7th September 2017 in the us embassy, it happens that this date is a holiday in the country , they called me earlier to do my interview on 13th August as they usually do but they discovered that our finger prints won’t be taken by the machine as our date is in next month, they took my documents arranged in a file and I paid the fees then counslar appologised about the inconvenience and when I mentioned that my original interview date might be a holiday in the embassy she said they will contact me , my wife is pregnant and her due date will be on the date of interview what can I do .. advices are really appreciated
August 20, 2017 at 14:17
So you have to wait for the embassy to contact you. At that point the baby may or not be born – and you can discuss with the embassy.
August 20, 2017 at 14:42

Hi, BritSimon.
Thank you so much for your help and everything you do for potential immigrants like us! I have a question for you about Consular Processing in my country. I’ve seen you mention somewhere that basically when a person did unauthorized work during his/her stay in the US it’s not a reason to refuse GC at the interview, however it’s not the case when doing Adjustment of Status in the US. Is anything change about this and would my unauthorized work be a problem for me at the interview in my country?Thank you.
P.S. (I was on F1 visa).
August 20, 2017 at 17:13
Nothing changed.
August 20, 2017 at 17:21
Could you explain what do they mean by that:
(G) Student visa abusers.-An alien who obtains the status of a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15)(F)(i) and who violates a term or condition of such status under section 214(l) is excludable until the alien has been outside the United States for a continuous period of 5 years after the date of the violation.
I found it on travel.state.gov website in Ineligibilities and Waivers: Laws section.
Thank you!
August 20, 2017 at 17:51
It is self explanatory.
