If you watch the current status of issued cards (raw CEAC Data), you can see, that we are at about 8700. And we are almost at halftime! If KCC keeps this pace, how can be reached terminally the number of 50,000? So I think and hope, that in this summer we can count on speeding up. Just chin up Guys!
March 13, 2018 at 13:43
jackie, I think the number of visas issued for EU is 8700! But there are 50,000 visas worldwide!! Europe doesnt get 50,000 visas alone! i think only 17 or 18.000 this year go to EU
March 13, 2018 at 13:54
Eu have 18300 visas and they have to issued all of them. Meaby a little more will be from nacara or transfer from banned countries.
March 13, 2018 at 13:59
they dont have to issue all of them… they can underfill. they did that with AF region in 2015
March 13, 2018 at 14:05
They don’t have to reach the quota.
March 13, 2018 at 18:51
Hello
I’m so sorry to ask my question randomly under one of your replies. I wasn’t able to find right place to ask my question. My sister and her husband went for their interview on Dec 5th who are from Iran, and theirs case needs Administration Process. So after the Supreme Court announcement on the same day, their case has been rejected based on Travel Ban 3.0! Now we’re waiting to see what the final ruling will be from Supreme Court which will be expected to be announced late June, but wondering what we can do right away after announcement, because we would not have that much time and Visas might be finished early September!! Can they go to the embassy right after announcement?? Or just sending emails and waiting?? Also I’m wondering if you can kindly tell me what you think about our case and if you think they may have a chance or not??
Thank you in advance! 🙂
March 13, 2018 at 19:18
This has never happened before. No one has any idea who this will work. So – if the ban gets overturned, do all you can to get your case re-opened.
March 13, 2018 at 14:06
Eridon, quota is ok, remark is that they don’t have to issue all. They may but don’t have to issue all…
March 13, 2018 at 14:06
18300 is the quota split at 50k (it’s a percentage of the global amount)
March 13, 2018 at 14:08
The 8000+ is EU only.
March 13, 2018 at 13:53
Carlos, of course, if everything goes well, I will share my experience with you, and it is usefull. You all are right behind me, , as I can remember… around EU30000.
March 13, 2018 at 14:04
10% more, 33xxx ?
March 13, 2018 at 14:25
Hi Brit . please help me to understand the situation ..thank you in advance
1 ) how many visas left for europe now ?
2) our number is 20xxx ..is there enough visas for us ?
3 ) when our status ” at NVC ” will change ? After our number or till ?
March 13, 2018 at 15:28
Be patient!
March 13, 2018 at 15:49
it is so hard to be patient situation like that .but there is no other way. is our number is safe ?. ..please answer my third question if it possible ..thank you in advance ..
March 13, 2018 at 16:02
There are people here who have real reason to be nervous – you don’t. So patience is called for!
Your NVC status changes once you are scheduled.
March 13, 2018 at 14:34
@ Brit thanks for your comment, you are right 🙂
March 13, 2018 at 14:49
Just another idea why EU process is so slow. Since Trump is president, many the State Department especially in europe is chronically understaffed… maybe that could also be a reason, adding to the increased selectees…
March 13, 2018 at 15:16
Don’t forget to add Illuminates and Masonry ? I always blame them for everything that went wrong. Sorry RXY for my sarcastic comment but I think youre trying to find problem where it doesn’t exist. The pace is more than ok. We are halfway and there are about half visas issued. Process is more orderly than previous years. They don’t have to schedule more because te pace is fine with timeline. I don’t think it has anything to do with embasies being understaffed.
We should all be happy that I’m not in charge of this process. If i was i would tell the NVC to send VB with 100 cn progress to watch people confusion. Then last month would order VB to be current with guaranteed visas issuance to all that left alive – pure evil with good ending ?
March 13, 2018 at 15:23
the pace is more than okay?? no. It really is not. Look how many less real cases become current, then what would be even close to “normal”. There is one issue. either it is that embassies cant schedule as many cases as usual because they dont have the capacity in the “many selectess countries” or maybe that adds up to increasing staff, or maybe that has some other reasons we dont know. But this is not normal, and there must be some reason for that.
March 13, 2018 at 17:11
Just to make clear it’s not ok for you, for me and many other people, but looking at it as a process the pace is ok. We are almost half in timeline and almost half of visas quota is issued. What would you expect? 1/4 or 3/4? Progress is really in accordance with timeline, we may not like it but it is. Let’s wait how it will end. Nothing more we can do…
March 13, 2018 at 17:15
Carlos- it is not in accordance to timeline. IF the pace continues like this- we will see EU being underfilled! Meaning LESS visas issued than in all previous years. A pace like this is not normal.
March 13, 2018 at 17:31
@Rxy. I honestly think you need to stand back for a minute and *think* before you shoot off some comment.
The halfway point of the year will be at the end of March. So – in about a month from now we will know the halfway number – and it will most certainly be over half the final quota. In reality that is UNUSUALLY fast because the second half of the year is normally faster than the first half (because of the “cold start” at the beginning of the year). So – Carlos was absolutely correct in his statement!
March 13, 2018 at 17:18
This is what I don’t get. Half the time, half the visas. In half the time wouldn’t there be more selectees! And now half the visas are left with decreased density. wouldn’t there be less selectees until the end with half amount of visas?
March 13, 2018 at 17:21
yes tom. that is how it should be and that is why carlos comment about the pace like this being fine is not correct.
March 13, 2018 at 17:40
@RXY how dare you? Carlos is always correct. At least at his work. And as this is not my work you may be right i may be not correct. Rxy, don’t take it seriously ?. We are brothers&sisters in misery, that’s really, really bad day for me and I just want relief some pressure. Cheers.
March 13, 2018 at 17:43
they have scheduled far more cases in early numbers with a high density, now where density decreased, they also decreased the number of people being current. If that continues, I cant see eu getting all the 18300 visas, so there must be a reason for this. I understand that process was slow because density was high, and I also understand that there have been more interviews so far then in other years despite lower VB number, but if they choose to make that little real cases current every months, then they cant “fill the bottle”
March 13, 2018 at 15:44
No. None of the people doing the actual work are political appointees – they are just staff.
March 13, 2018 at 15:54
yes, but they are understaffed since trump. KCC processes the ds260 just fine- they wait for the numbers to be called just as we do. There are many people who stopped working at the state department since trump got president, because they couldnt support that administration. I didnt only hear that from media- also from my friend at the state department, who is supposed to get my green card (or probably “was”). She hersef quit her job just recently in Rome, and these positions are not filled yet and who knows if or when they will be. So it is very possible that there are also not enough CO’s to do the work and interviews of so many selectees.
March 13, 2018 at 15:59
Interesting – but really – although I think Trump is a disgrace to this country I don’t think enough people (staffers) would have decided to give up their jobs to protest his mindset.
March 13, 2018 at 16:12
Not to sure about that. The state department has not even a “leader” or a “boss” yet and many things are so chaotic that they leave people there frustrated. I remember very well the conversations I had with my friend about leaving or staying, and neither for her, nor her collegues, having a safe job was really worth it, when you are the one defending travel bans at the end (especially for people who started working there under the obama administration). People at the state department dont just leave a good job when quitting. These are very qualified, top educated people with a lot of oppurtunities. Leaving the state department when trump took over for them often even was the better decision in regards to their further career in politics. They dont leave a good job for a worse- they left a good job for a better oppurtunity. I really think we should consider that problem, not as the only, but as an additional explenation for that slow process.
March 13, 2018 at 16:14
OK – consider that if you want.
March 13, 2018 at 14:56
are we safe with AF34xxx, given this slow rate
March 13, 2018 at 15:45
No not “safe”.
March 13, 2018 at 14:59
Dear Mr. Simon,
Many thanks ever somuch for being very helpful to the DV public! I really appreciate your update relative to the base month VB prior to the current month VB!
For example, may 2018 interview VB released today 3-13-2018 accounted for VB for April 2018 interview already released.
Quite frankly, your Brit name really reflects how bright you are!
March 13, 2018 at 15:06
Hello Brit,
I am really worried.I am originally from Ethiopia.I am studying in Italy. My case just became current today. But when i fill the form I mistakenlyanswered NO for the question below.
D u seek to enter the states for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labour but have not yet been certified by the secretary of state?
will it affect my interview?
what are my options?
looking forward to hear from you
March 13, 2018 at 15:10
Brit
My CN is AF41,7**
Is there a possibility that there are holes and I will get my 2nl before the September cutoff?
#anxietyRelatedToMayVB#
March 13, 2018 at 15:54
There are LOTs of holes. Stay patient.
March 13, 2018 at 16:02
So does that mean I’m safe at AF41,7***?
March 13, 2018 at 15:22
Hi,
Is anyone from Srilanka who had his/her interview recently? I want to know whether we “must” take a affidavit of support although we have enough assets to show. I am asking this because in the required documents sheet for Diversity visa winners (colombo embassy) they just say only about affidavit of support and i-134. There is nothing about assets. I am confused.
March 13, 2018 at 17:29
Pls follow the local instructions of sri Lankan embassy. Read relevant articles on this blog as well.
March 14, 2018 at 00:35
Thank you for your reply Iman. May I know where are you from?
March 14, 2018 at 03:01
Affidavit would be more helpfull. As per my knowledge they prefer it. That is why the only mention it.
March 13, 2018 at 15:55
hello, i am Sout America winner SA23XX… but i have a particular case, please help me
my wife and me send the DS260 and is COMPLETED
our newborn baby is INCOMPLETED because:
in his DS260, the ask: document type (2 options: PASSPORT or ANOTHER DOCUMENT)
the baby doesnt have his passport yet, in Venezuela we have to wait a LOT
i am scare if I dont send his DS260 the KCC are not going to take our case for interview
do you recommend to put: ANOTHER DOCUMENT? is that too important? or what
thank you
March 13, 2018 at 15:58
There is no problem using other document. However, your case number is very high and you probably won’t get an interview.
March 13, 2018 at 16:00
so you dont think they will call CURRENT? 🙁
March 13, 2018 at 16:17
No
March 13, 2018 at 15:57
did your idea change about EU? what do u think for last 4 months?
March 13, 2018 at 16:16
I’ve arrived in the US and I have got my social security number, but I’m still waiting for my green card to arrive. Can I work or apply for job position? or do I have to wait till I have my green card?
March 13, 2018 at 16:25
You can work – no need to wait. Show the stamped I-551 in your passport if asked for proof of resident status.
March 13, 2018 at 16:47
Hi Mr. Simon, do you think Asia will go current this year? Specialy the ban of Iran reduced the issued visas?
March 13, 2018 at 16:53
I don’t know – really.
March 13, 2018 at 17:19
Hello sir,
My case number get current, im EU17xxx, and my passport will expire for 5 days, so im asking should i wait to get mail for interview and then change it (call ambassy to open case for correcting my pass no.?) or i can change passport tomorrow and send mail to KCC ?
Regards.
March 13, 2018 at 17:21
Hi Brit.
Regarding your (and our) disappointment at the EU numbers,
In your estimations, what EU case numbers will have been called for interviews until September 30, 2018 ?
EU25***? EU30***? EU35***? or more?
March 13, 2018 at 17:29
i really feel that at this point 34xxx would be very optimistic. Im also not quite sure if we can 100% rely on that 33k number any longer. To what it seems, anything below 30k should be fine, then there is this “grey zone” between 30xxx-33xxx where it really now depends on progress and cases scheduled, less on available visas, and then there is anything between 33xxx and 34xxxx where the progress must be fine AND visas must be left. And then there is anything about 34xxx were people need that extra little piece of luck,. I really dont think we are going to see 35xxx
March 13, 2018 at 17:41
Rxy , I think your number is still ok
March 13, 2018 at 18:03
Rxy,
If the progress goes on with about 2100-2300 numbers a month and April VB-s for EU indicate 18,050, then how do you expect EU30K being fine during upcoming 4 months ?
March 13, 2018 at 18:05
its just a feeling. process this year is so completly diffrent from all other years, that i think calcualtions are really difficult. I would be very suprised to see anything under 30 whatshowever, since i dont think they would waste that many visas.
March 13, 2018 at 17:54
Dear Brit,
Quoting Monty Python „and now for something completely different” i have question. I wonder if you have some activity meter on your blog. If yes I think this is/will be most active day of this year, can you confirm?
March 13, 2018 at 17:59
I’m pretty sure it is, and next month will be worse.
Btw Carlos I’m really offended by you wanting to fill all the positions at Brit’s company . Leave some for us?
March 13, 2018 at 18:01
Im really speechless… i am happy that i didnt need to work today, I could really just sit here and cry. I feel like I even lost my appetite completly. This cant be true.
March 13, 2018 at 18:07
Rxy , I’m not working today either…… im staring at the wall……….and the bloooooooog
March 13, 2018 at 18:08
me too.
March 13, 2018 at 18:09
Well, I think there is vacancy for the person responsible for licking postage stamps – while internet is down and there is a need to answer by classic letter. A wait a minute, you don’t have to lick stamp in US – they are self adhesive. Sorry no job awailable, try other place ?
March 13, 2018 at 18:16
You still need to stick them , but anyway you can have that job too?
March 13, 2018 at 19:34
LOL – yes – busiest in 2018 – not even close to busiest day ever.
March 13, 2018 at 18:09
Hello Simon
My case number is 2018EU35XXX.
Can you tell me about our chance ? Do we have a chance for this summer ? I am from Kosovo, thanks Reply plz..
March 13, 2018 at 19:28
Your number is at risk. Wait and see what happens.
March 13, 2018 at 18:26
Hi brit . i would like to know if i can fill today form I134 its expiry date is 11/03/2018. Should I consider the expiry date and wait for the new version? What do you recommend me?
March 13, 2018 at 19:20
Use the latest version from USCIS. If that is what you have – that is fine.
March 13, 2018 at 18:42
Hi! First of all thanks for all help.can we say EU28XXX ?.actually slow progress make me fear. Thx
March 13, 2018 at 18:45
Sorry.can we say EU28XXX is safe?
March 13, 2018 at 19:18
Yes
March 14, 2018 at 07:58
Thanks for positive comment. It made me fell better.Well, Do you have any guess about which month will be active my cn?(EU28XXX)
March 14, 2018 at 14:01
Wait and see.
March 13, 2018 at 19:25
Despite slow pace of EU, I think shouldn’t I be very worried about it since my CNxxx26*** trying to be patient 🙂 , but I have another worries about mistake which I made by in eDV by filling my last name and name opposite like I’m Erica Goldman filled in first eDV form Goldman (name) Erica (lastname), after I have been selected I got married and filled DS260 correctly Erica(name) and new Last after marriage (Silverman-Goldman), I’m concerned can this mistake affect our interview or be critical? Thanks in advance for your answers, and I hope all of you guys will reach your goals!
March 13, 2018 at 19:46
If your DS260 is accurate you should be OK. If it isn’t, unlock and correct it.
March 13, 2018 at 19:58
Hi Mr.Brit, comparing data provided by Xarthisius for 2017 and 2018 seems like progress goes almost the same around 40% and below. With the same progress 2017 went current for EU in May 2017. Why is it so slow then for 2018 taking into account that only 8,000 out of 10,000 issued so far?
March 13, 2018 at 20:41
DV2018 has FAR more selectees than DV2017. I have explained this in MANY recent articles – please read them.
March 13, 2018 at 20:09
hi britsimon
what is the problem on opening ceac.state.gov Since I tried to open it but they display the page like
(This site can’t be reached
ceac.state.gov’s server IP address could not be found.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN)
so would you please give me the solution of this.
thanks
March 13, 2018 at 20:40
Try again in a day or two
March 13, 2018 at 21:19
Hey Brit,
I understand that all these questions at once are difficult to handle and to reply to individually, also given all the confusion that exists. However, when you do your right up about recent developments I could you please adress the following question?
1. Xart has explained why we are looking at the scheduled cases the wrong way and that there are of course also cases being scheduled that have been current the months before. Since progressing this year changed and the “backlog phenomenon” should not be as emphazised as in previous years, can we see so far that these early scheduled cases have become less from months to months, so that when making progress, these “early cases” wont hinder the pace so much? I am under the impression that this change of progressing slimed the opportunity for high cn to some extend.
thanks
March 13, 2018 at 21:39
Xarthisius has published the 2NL files – have you looked at those?
March 13, 2018 at 21:46
yes, but in order to find that out there is so much filtering needed and my laptop freezes when i filter in excel…
March 13, 2018 at 21:51
Really – those diff files are TINY files.
March 13, 2018 at 22:04
okay, got it! disappointing… 217 in march vs. 208 in april…. not big of a diffrence… also, the number is lower than i thought regarding this slow pace. 🙁 🙁 🙁
March 13, 2018 at 22:10
I think you may have misunderstood the original comment.
March 13, 2018 at 22:29
And – I get 167 in April.
March 13, 2018 at 22:11
you shouldnt even have asked me to do that… now im seeing that there have only been about 940 or so cases scheduled in april, and now the ulcer is defenitly here.
March 13, 2018 at 23:01
I already told you that!
March 13, 2018 at 22:37
167? strange. I counted all april cases up to casenumber 13897, a case from NPL embassy. For me it says straight 208. But for the march number you got the same count?
March 13, 2018 at 22:59
13800 is the cutoff.
March 13, 2018 at 23:04
ups- i had 13900 in mind. i think im getting a fever too. even my dog is in a bad mood.
March 13, 2018 at 22:10
Rxy, what number is lower? And what is number 208?
March 13, 2018 at 22:13
217 is march interviews that were already current the months before, 208 is same thing for april interviews. glad to see youre still around, tom! Maybe you should visit berlin, we could hang out in front of this blog and get some popcorn.
March 13, 2018 at 22:21
Ooooh I’m around unfortunately!!!!! Did that 217 already had their interview or they are waiting to have the interview? I don’t understand , this is way too slow!
Inside me I know that there is nothing to wait or see for me , but I’ll still be around ?
March 13, 2018 at 22:24
the march people either already have- or will have their interview in march. 217 is only the number of people being interviewd in march who delayed their ds2060. the all have casenumbers that were already current way befor that, if you know what i mean.
March 13, 2018 at 22:27
Now I know exactly what you mean!!!!! I would rather not know……….
March 13, 2018 at 22:31
:/. I know. But to be honset- now I have that number but I dont even now if that is a “good” number or “bad” or if that number actually matters at all. I wish there was something I could do… It just sucks being so helpless.
March 13, 2018 at 22:33
And Rxy ….. popcorn…… really? We need lots and lots of WINE in front of this blog
March 13, 2018 at 22:43
Popcorn? Wine? What else? Maybe lollipops? Guys are f… kiding me? Vodka is the only cure we need 🙂 The only cure that will ease pain…
March 13, 2018 at 22:48
that is true- me, personally, I prefer gin, but I would also be up for a bottle of zubrowka.
March 13, 2018 at 21:45
Hi Brit, the latest is table with 2SNL April.
March 13, 2018 at 21:51
Yes of course. 2NLs for May have not been sent yet.
March 13, 2018 at 22:00
Kofi
I won the lottery but I didn’t include my UK born child since he is from a country that is not eligible. Will that affect my application
March 13, 2018 at 22:07
If you mean you did not list your child on the initial entry, that will mean certain disqualification.
March 13, 2018 at 22:33
Mr.Simon, please, is it only after you’ve received your 2nl that you start medicals and asking for the affidavit from your sponsor?
March 13, 2018 at 22:35
I forgot to add , how do you get the affidavit of support?
March 13, 2018 at 22:59
Yes
March 13, 2018 at 22:43
CAPTCHAS r coming in guys…go fill them up so we can scrape this data.
March 13, 2018 at 22:58
Hi brit my CN is 2018AF219XX
When can i expect my 2NL?
March 13, 2018 at 23:19
Soon. Be patient.
March 14, 2018 at 01:49
Hi Simon,
I have moved address since my application. My number is OC1055 & based on the numbers looks good for June interview. Am I supposed to have updated my form, or is it fine to have changed address?
thanks
March 14, 2018 at 04:59
Updating your address is best, but not a must.
March 14, 2018 at 05:56
Hi Brit,
So my interview is in 3 weeks in Accra and I just read about the need to have a sponsor through the I-134. I Initially planned on showing funds from bank accounts my family were going to give me.
Can you advise me on what to do?
March 14, 2018 at 17:06
Accra normally want to know about who will host you. If your host is a relative or friend, they are typically satisfied with that. Money in other people’s accounts is not helpful.
March 14, 2018 at 07:08
Hey Brit do you have filled sample filled i-134 and W2 forms?give me links
March 14, 2018 at 14:04
No – the I-134 is simple and any US resident should be able to complete it. The W2 is provided by the employer of the sponsor.
March 14, 2018 at 07:25
Dear Simon, I have Qt. please, does the Consul focus only on the official documents for the main winner ? I know we should attach all documents for the others Beneficiaries but may some documents no available or not strong for the others !! what do you think, Thanks, dear.
March 14, 2018 at 14:03
Derivatives don’t need education documents. Other than that – the same.
March 14, 2018 at 16:03
So, if asked about education or what we (as derivatives) plan to do in the US for work, it’s just verbal? No need to take a resume or anything, correct? Thanks in advance!
March 14, 2018 at 20:16
No need for a resume. They may ask about plans, but that will just be general chit chat to see if you are a public charge concern.
March 14, 2018 at 08:23
Hi Brits, how are you doing?
my host has already paid my green card fee
but am a bit worried it might be sent to the wrong address which i want to change at the port of entry.
1. so i want to enquire whether he can walk into the nearest USCIS office and change the address before i enter America
2. does the USCIS have offices in most cities
March 14, 2018 at 14:01
1. No

Dear Simon,
Many Thanks for your effort, i did my interview for DV lottery yesterday. the CO only ask how me and my wife knows each other and what did she studied(she is the main applicant) (he didn’t ask us about any thing related to US like which state we are going or to whom we are going or what we will work there)and at the end he said we will receive an email from them after a week and that they got all the required info and documents and at the end he said the interview is finished and don’t quit from your work, but he never says that he approved or reject the visa and even he don’t mention if its required any further AP. we thank him and left he keeps passports with him, but i really feels worried and i know that i have only to wait.
do you think its normal
March 14, 2018 at 13:59
I don’t know. Wait a few days and check your status.
March 14, 2018 at 14:32
Thanks Simon but I checked in travel.state.gov and its mentioned that the co should inform us at the end of the interview if he approve the visa or not
Any way I just checked the statues and its AP NOW
thank you very much for every thing u did and keep your magnificent work and assist to people
God bless you

Hello Brit.
I have the interview soon, so I am preparing all the documents. First of all, do you have any other summarized link about what to bring at the embassy different from the governative?
Second, a friend of mine told me that I need to bring the 1NL as well as the 2NL. I do have the 2NL but I didn’t print the 1NL and now I can’t take it anymore from my personal page.
Do you know any other way to obtain it ? and do you think it is extremely important for the interview?
thanks!
Federica

Just take the 2NL
March 14, 2018 at 09:50
Another question. When I’ve submitted the diversity visa request I was living in USA, so I’ve insert that address on my application. Of course, I have received the 2NL with this address on it, but now I live in Italy and so in a different address. Do you think I should email the embassy before the interview?
Thanks,
Federica

Your choice.

Brit,
we always hear that refusal in Ukraine is so common, or at least pretty high- however, I am already wondering tsince quite some time, because to me, the refusal rate in Ukraine does not seem high at all?
March 14, 2018 at 13:46
You don’t hear that from me. What you hear from me is that the success rate is low – that means the rate at which selectees are turned in to visas. It takes into account non responses, no shows, refusals – everything. The point is – Ukraine and Uzbekistan get the same number of selectees in the draw – but Ukraine gets around 50/60% of the visas as compared to Uzbekistan.

Also, what I dont understan is that density decreases 3 times (if the last 2 drops are left out). Withing the first density up to about 10700, we say about 2000 -2100 cases become current every month. and With the second, lower density, we saw one little “jump” but then also about 2100 cases…. There has been no improvement of pace! And I dont understand why.
How can we even expect it to move faster, if it is a capacity issue?? The density for the remaining 4 months is more or less steady. It will have to move 4000 cases every month to see 34k. That seems very unlikely, considering the past density drop also didnt do much.
March 14, 2018 at 13:46
We have been over this many times.
March 14, 2018 at 13:54
but what was the answer? I mean yes, wait and see, but that doesnt help me that logically I dont understand it. My hope is that cases from previous months will rapidly decrease, but if embassies dont have capacity, they cant process faster.
March 14, 2018 at 18:57
Rxy, do you remember what was the highest number selected. I’m trying to find it in one of the previous posting , but can’t. Thanks
March 14, 2018 at 19:10
39695 is the last one i think
March 14, 2018 at 11:45
@ Rxy, the same question I wanted to sent to the blog… if it is matter of capacity, then we can not expect nothing faster. And, if it is capacity problem, why the rest of the world embassies do not have this problem? The rest of the world (AF, AS) is in line (more or less).
March 14, 2018 at 11:50
@Dana. Because the rest of the world does not have such a dramatic change in entrees/ selectess. There are way more selectees then usual in turkey, albania and Russia- embassies might just be overwhelmed by handeling these cases, and that slows down process everywhere. i just dont knw how that would change.
March 14, 2018 at 19:17
what is the possiblity of being current for Europe? do u have any idea Rxy? at least,is there any hope?
March 14, 2018 at 19:24
lol,I would rather leave questions like this to brit. But I dont think there is hope for EU to get current, no. I think we can be very very happy and lucky if we see 34xxx. Even 34k seems optimistic to me at this point to be honest. But hey- there is always hope- hope doesnt need to rely on reason!
March 14, 2018 at 19:30
but we have to know important something, there are 1288 real case numbers after 34k,that means,if we consider some of them doesnt go interview,it will be decreased more. in my opinion, last month,it is possible to be current… This is good news for last numbers,we need hope little, right? ?
March 14, 2018 at 19:37
if that gives you hope- feel free to hold onto it, really. I see it a bit diffrently.
March 14, 2018 at 19:40
Burnhan, I have been actually thinking about that. That’s why I asked Rxy for the highest case number. So from 39695 I think there is 20915 reall cases right? From my understanding there is around 9000 cases to be interviewed and is also around 8000 visas left?
someone correct me if I have messed up the numbers.
March 14, 2018 at 19:49
Hi Tom,
you are actually correct about numbers,so i said,we have hope always,For Europe,we are talking about 18300 for limit, but i think it may reach 19000 or more,if we consider real case numbers as well,i have more hope , unfortunately until july 15,we will repeat, wait and see.
March 14, 2018 at 19:52
zero percent chance.
March 14, 2018 at 19:57
Brit is it Zero percent chance to go current or zero percent chance for high cn
March 14, 2018 at 20:02
Current.
March 14, 2018 at 12:11
@ Rxy I know about the 3 countries, but can it affect the whole region so much… just not so normal… There is no way to calculate or make any predicitions comparing to last years or last months because it has no logic… I was looking at the upcoming months on xharitius site, there are lot of holes (am I right?), but anyway, with this capacity, there is nothing to be done…exept to W&S….
March 14, 2018 at 17:33
Hello Dana,
Are you from Romania? If yes, we can keep in touch on denvelo[at]gmail.com
Thanks
March 14, 2018 at 13:52

March 14, 2018 at 14:46
Brit,2018AS8887 Case is safe ?when can i got interview ?
March 14, 2018 at 20:33
Wait and see
March 14, 2018 at 15:43
Hi Simon
Thank you for your previous advice. We have an interview in London on April 4th. Having sent off for our British police certificates (and waiting on a fingerprint appointment so we can send off for Japanese ones) we tried to make the medical appointments today. The earliest date was April 13th. The website seems to suggest you simply can’t go to interview without having had the medical done. Is this true- or will they wait for the result like they would wait for other documents? (Sorry if this is a stupid question).
We appreciate your time
Sam
March 14, 2018 at 20:32
You can interview and then follow up with the medical – but it causes AP after the interview, and thus, delay. So – before the interview is better.
March 14, 2018 at 15:47
Hi Brit
Soni have my interview next month and I just found about the affidavit form.
Would it be okay to have my father write a letter and include his bank statements as a proof of funds?
March 14, 2018 at 20:30
That wouldn’t help at all. Depending on your embassy they may or may not ask for financial proof – but if they do an I-134 is the best way forward or your own savings.
March 14, 2018 at 15:54
Hi Mr Brit , Thank you a lot for the help you provide in this blog , i want to ask one question about the DS260 ,do i have to inquiry KCC to know if my DS260 is received successfully , or the confirmation number is enough ?
March 14, 2018 at 20:16
No need to check with KCC. Be patient.
March 14, 2018 at 15:55
Dear Brit,
Does the host sending the welcome letter whose address is given on DS 260 for GC delivery need to be the same person who sends affidavit of support?
Is it alright if someone else send the affidavit support incase the host’s income is not enough?
Thank you very much
March 14, 2018 at 20:16
Can be a different person – yes.
March 14, 2018 at 17:42
@ Denvelo, I sent you a e mail.
