Apparently there was the second draw. People who where not selected in May received emails now from KCC that they are selected. Is this any good sign for high case numbers?
October 19, 2019 at 15:56
What is your proof of the draw?
October 19, 2019 at 12:50
Good evening Sir Brit. I played the American lottery, I’m afraid of being disqualified because the shirt I had worn last year to shoot me, it’s also the same shirt I used this year to shoot, so the photos are look like, and physically I have not changed. Do you notice that I will be disqualified when comparing my last year’s photo and this year’s photo during the draw or before or after the draw?
October 19, 2019 at 16:00
Unlikely to be disqualified if the photo is not the same photo.
October 19, 2019 at 13:48
Hello Brit., I can’t sign and submit the DS 260 form, the Female Genital Mutilations/cutting (fgm/c) Prevention certification checkbox is inactive. I wonder what could be the problem.
October 19, 2019 at 16:04

I completed my High school diploma online in http://www.jmhs.com and graduted with 24 credits, am I eligible to apply for green card lottery?
October 19, 2019 at 17:33
Not by that qualification, no. The lottery requires a FORMAL COURSE of education – which does not include this type of distance learning.
October 19, 2019 at 16:55
Good evening. I want to play the American lottery with my wife:
1) Can I make the entry by adding the little brother of my wife?
2) Can I make the entrance by adding the son of my uncle that I adopted?
NB 🙁 my uncle is alive and so my uncle’s wife but they gave me this child now he is under my charge)
October 19, 2019 at 17:33
1. No
2. Not unless the adoption was through a legal process more than 2 years ago.

October 19, 2019 at 19:19
Hello Brit! A lot of dv 2020 selected are saying that the email to submit documents from kcc is being sent at the email address they have insert at the registration in the dv process not in the one they have inserted at ds-260 form. Im asking because I don’t remember which address i have put in the registration. Can i ask kcc what email i have used? Thank you
October 19, 2019 at 21:16
You can ask, I don’t know if they will tell you.
October 19, 2019 at 19:28

Wait. You might get a 2NL later this month.
October 20, 2019 at 04:36

October 19, 2019 at 20:18
Hi,
if the sponsor is married, an I-134 should be filled by each of them? Husband and Wife ?
October 19, 2019 at 22:28
No – one between them.
October 19, 2019 at 21:04
Hey Brit.I will ask a weird question,I know. What do you think Will Dv lottery survive? I am applying this year either with my parents and myself (as i am finishing school this year) .do you think Mr.Trump will turn the immigration to merit based in 5 years time? I’m afraid cause I think there is a small chance for me to win in 5 years.(As I got 5 years Till I turn 21 and cant apply with my parents after that) .
October 19, 2019 at 22:27
I can’t predict the future – but I can say that it is not only Trump that wants to reshape the immigration system – so the DV lottery won’t last forever!
October 19, 2019 at 21:32
Hello Brit, Can you tell me on this letter if I have got some chance to appeal or not. because our program period is closed but the letter is confusing me..
Dear visa applicant

This decision constitutes a denial of a visa. The following remarks apply in your case.
section 212 health related grounds
section 212 which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone likely to become a public charges
section(a) Not documentary qualified for a visa category sought by Dv deadline
Waiver eligibility
you are eligible for waiver pf the grounds of ineligibility

October 19, 2019 at 22:14
I assume yours was a DV2019 case? If so there is no way to appeal or anything like that. The DV2019 period ended on September 30th and there is no way to approve a case after that point.
It sounds like you were refused on medical grounds which caused a public charge concern. That could be things like habitual drug use and so on. But anyway – regardless of the reason, as I said, there is nothing that can be done now.
October 19, 2019 at 23:03
Hello Brit,
My brother has a child with a different mother whom he is not married to and due to misunderstandings in the relationship earlier, the mother has for many years refused access to the child and have even changed the child’s name. My brother is currently married to a different woman with whom they have three children, but the marriage was contracted customarily – not registered so no certificate.
Can my brother enter the lottery with only his three children and claim single for marriage status?
October 20, 2019 at 16:53
Your brother would have to include the fourth child.
As for marriage status – that depends whether his current marriage is legally recognized or not.
October 19, 2019 at 23:20
Hi Simon! Do all family members need to enter the US at the same time? My 16 year old wants to stay in New Zealand an extra two months, and then follow us.
October 20, 2019 at 16:53
That’s OK – as long as he/she enters before the visa expiry date.
October 19, 2019 at 23:59
GOOD DAY Mr Brit , thanks you very much for the video , i just wish to know if you do not receiver a mail from KCC about sending for documents,i have submitted my DS-260 since on May , which other email address you contact them, and my case numbers 2020AF0002948XX when i can be call for interview by next year ,or to submitted of documents.thanks
October 20, 2019 at 16:56

October 20, 2019 at 00:26
Dear Brit
We want to hear from you regarding the new Presidential Proclamation of Medical Health Insurance for immigrants which applies on November 3rd.
Is there a possible way to get one of the approved health Insurance plans while we still outside US?
Also do you expect for this proclamation to be blocked by courts same as Final rule of Public Charge?
Thanks
October 20, 2019 at 04:58
1- Hi. with which email address should I submit these documents that of ds 260 or the dv registration? Note that the e-mail submission of documents was sent to the registration account dv
2-the Email did not also give my full name. would be a problem. Just Sadio Ba or That’s Sadio Vouro Ba
October 20, 2019 at 17:28
1. Doesn’t matter which account you send FROM.
2. Read the instructions carefully about how to identify your case and documents.
October 20, 2019 at 16:56
I did post a video about that. As of now I do not know whether this change will be allowed, and what the practical effects will be.
October 20, 2019 at 00:43
Hello Simon,
Quick question about the passport number required for the application. I am trying to fill my passport details as requested but when I tried to include the passport number, it looks like the system has a set amount of numbers allowed and is not letting me include the full number. For example, my passport number has 10 numbers but the entry form only allows me to include 9. Would there be an issue if I only include the first 9 numbers and submit my entry?
October 20, 2019 at 16:58
Include the LAST 9 numbers.
October 20, 2019 at 03:17

Dear Brit,
I am a selectee for DV 2020. My case number is 2020AS00014xxx. I have submitted my DS260 forms as well. But i didn’t receive a mail asking to submit documents.
I was thinking that 2NLP mail will come from [email protected] . But as per older comments, winners have received it from [email protected] . Unfortunately i have blocked noreply mails as they are a burden. So i might have missed the mail.
What should i do? Please assist.

October 20, 2019 at 17:05
Email KCC and ask if they want your documents.
October 20, 2019 at 03:25
Hello Brit
I am DV2019 winner and I already got my Visa on July 2019. But I am going to USA only on December. Hope you are well known about Presidential Proclamation on Health Care which is said to be applied as of 3rd Nov. So, my question is that Is it applicable only for those who are scheduled for interview as from 3rd Nov or also for those who had already received their visa before 3rd Nov but migrating only after 3rd Nov like my case? If yes how could we overcome it?
Thanks.
October 20, 2019 at 17:06
Only for cases interviewed after Nov 3
October 20, 2019 at 04:13
Good morning Mr Brits, I wish to ask if these orders of names is affected at the level of draw or interview ?
October 20, 2019 at 17:08
The draw is random.
October 20, 2019 at 05:32

2. No
October 20, 2019 at 07:07
Hello, brit,
I’m in a very confusing mode about education qualifications.here is the problem.*my 2 uncles us citizens.
I’m from Sri Lanka and in here 12th exam is A/L examination. Contain 3 main subjects and an English exam for all. My result was 2 passes from main 3 subjects. pass for English too. (i did A/L before 5 yrs)
1)I’m not able to apply for the DV lottery?
2)we can retake the exam anytime. or retake failed subject if I’m not eligible. should I rewrite that failed subject? Also, i will receive two certificates .1st with 2 passes and 1 fail(1st attempt). And 2nd new certificate(2nd attempt) only for a new pass. will embassy accept it?
3)after the 12th exam, I started self-studies online and working as an online freelancer for the last three yrs- video editor, animation creator. Also, I found that my carrier is eligible for work experience. (zone 4 and 7<8) But the problem is, will they accept my carrier? BCS I'm a freelancer and worked through websites. So no physical certificates, letters. But bank statements available.
4)if I'm eligible. Which section should I pick?
high school no degree
or
high school degree
Thank you very much.
October 20, 2019 at 17:36
1. You should apply and if selected, figure out if you are able to meet the requirements.
4. Pick whatever you want.
The other questions are only worth asking if selected.
October 20, 2019 at 07:15
Hello Mr Simon, thanks once more for your continuous assistance. Please i have this worry and i wish to be clarified. I am a green card holder and before coming here i left my son whom i had with a different lady before getting married. At the time my ww entered the DV Lottery he wasn’t living with us but his legal documents contain my name. My wife convinced the mother and took over the child after we won the lottery. At our interview his picture waa in our alb and the interviewer asked who and after our explanations and why we are not traveling with him she asked his name.
My question is can i or my wife file in for him and if yes what are the stakes and requirements?
Thanks once more.
October 20, 2019 at 17:54
Did you include the child in your original entry and your DS260?
October 20, 2019 at 18:08
No.reason why we did not travel with him. My concern now is if i can petition for him as my son and what are the requirements
October 21, 2019 at 02:43
Then you obtained your GC fraudulently, so you are in a mess.

Hello Brit. I am married in a traditional way and my wife and I did not go to celebrate our marriage at the commune in order to obtain the marriage certificate. we want to play the American lottery .
1)Can I apply with married or single? 2) If I play singles because it’s the traditional way I do my wedding and on my passport is it written married is there a problem?
October 20, 2019 at 18:01
1. It depends whether your country recognizes your marriage as legal or not.
2. If selected you should have a legal ceremony to be sure.
October 20, 2019 at 08:33
I have my interview coming up this week – how do they like you to present your documents at the consulate? Is putting it into a folder not ideal, or trying to present it aesthetically good? Or do they like a pile of originals and a seperate replica pile of copies ?
October 20, 2019 at 18:02
It’s up to you. Just make sure you can find each document easily.
October 20, 2019 at 09:02
Hello Brit,
I did not submit my DS260 yet waiting for my wife Tuberculosed treatment as you instructed before now I received an email from KCC to submit the DS260 and documents. Can you instruct me as my case number is 2020AS30xxx.
Below is the part of that KCC email.
You should review the list of required documents for processing below and send those to KCC to review as part of your application package, along with completing your DS-260. You will only be scheduled for interview at an overseas consular post after you have completed your DS-260 and submitted all documents required for your case and your visa rank number has become current
October 20, 2019 at 18:03
What instruction do you need?
October 21, 2019 at 01:11

October 21, 2019 at 04:01

Hello Brit,
I seldom ask questions for I read others’ and understand about my queries.
Still I cannot control the urge I have now. My wife is the principal applicant with CN 2020AS9XXX. Up to 5000 is already scheduled from Nepal, we expect we will be in next 3 months I hope so. But I haven’t received mail regarding document submission. I have been checking my email every now and then.
What might be the reason? With my knowledge, I have filled our DS 260 with right information that comprehends our documents. For some occasion I have checked our visa status (DS 260). Does it make any change?
Shall I contact KCC for the reason? Or have some patience for a month more? Please advise.
October 20, 2019 at 18:40

My name is Mohamed Lamine Diane. In my Birth certificate It is written Mohamed Lamine Diane, on my baccalaureate diploma it is also written Mohamed Lamine Diane but on my passport it is written Lamine Diane. I even want to play the American lottery.
1) Do I have to play with the name on the passport or my full name which is on the birth certificate?
2) I planned to proceed as follows: At the first option the part of the names: Lastname: Diane, Firstname: Mohamed Midlename: Lamine. As on my passport there is no Mohamed. I proceeded as follows:
Lastname: Diane, Firstname: I ticked Midlename: Lamine
is what this way is good otherwise what do you propose to me?
October 21, 2019 at 02:39
1. Passport.
2. Use your own judgement.

Hi Simon,
I’m currently 17 years old, turning 18 next week. Where I live, our high school year runs from January to December. I’m currently in my matric (final high school year) year and I will finish writing my Final exams by the end of November. I am aware that 12 years of primary and high school education is required. Does the application require proof of my completion of my education, do I need to prove that I have passed and been awarded a certificate or do I only need to provide this if I win the lottery? I don’t want to miss out on the DV 2020 lottery, what are my options for my current situation? Thanks – Misha
October 21, 2019 at 03:51
You only need to prove something if you win.
