April VB released
February 18, 2020 at 11:56
OMG, either it is a mistake or a complete disaster – 200 step for Europe!( Dear, BritSimon, hope to see your analytical video soon, because now the whole situation seems to become a disaster.
At the time there are 9500 step for Africa, and great steps for other regions. How could it even be possible?!
My number is EU46*** and I suppose it could mean something bad for my chances.
February 18, 2020 at 15:13
You should already have been prepared for this – my recent video explained this as a possibility.

Dear Brit
sorry to use “reply” to make my question since i didn’t find the proper way to make my question
I’m the main applicant and my number AS25xxx, my wife delivered a baby girl in US before 8 years using B1/B2 visa and accordingly the baby became US cetirizine.
my concern is if this event will affect us during the interview and if the CO ask us “did you intentionally made the delivery in US to have the US passport for your baby?” what shall we answer ?
February 19, 2020 at 00:53
Answer the truth. I don’t know what your answer will be.
More importantly than that – they could easily ask how you paid the expenses of the birth. Again – you need to be truthful.
February 19, 2020 at 15:24
Thank you Mr. Brit for prompt response.
actually we have paid and cleared all hospital bills already.
however, my concern if will it affect our chance during the interview?
February 19, 2020 at 21:26
I don’t know.
February 18, 2020 at 12:06
Brit, I think you need to call KCC because they forgot to update europe bulletin.
February 18, 2020 at 15:14
LOL.
February 18, 2020 at 12:24
Brit, please upload something. It’s crazy that they added only 200 for EU and 10.000 for AF. What the hell are they doing? I’m already loosing hope for my case number. I was waiting at least 1500 in EU and are they joking us or something?
February 18, 2020 at 15:15
You should already have been prepared for this – my recent video explained this as a possibility.

February 18, 2020 at 12:51
Hello, my husband is main applicant and our case number is around 11k from nepal and i am pregnant, does being pregnant makes our process difficult, longer Or are there any chances of being rejected for getting visa because of pregnancy??
February 18, 2020 at 15:15
No problem.
February 18, 2020 at 15:09
They really have a big backlog in Europe it seems like… this will have impact on scheduling everyone in time
February 18, 2020 at 15:33
Hi Brit, I’m EU27XXX, after this VB i have any chance?
February 18, 2020 at 15:37

February 18, 2020 at 15:48
Thanks for all the advices You gave to us Sir. Now that eu region is a big surprise with the new VB, do You think me with EU41*** can have a visa chance this year? Thanks in advance.

February 18, 2020 at 16:32
I am from Nepal and my case number is 1258# will I be interviewed in April or will I fall under cutoff for nepal? Any idea on when I will receive 2nl
February 18, 2020 at 20:12
Obviously not in April. It will be later in the summer. Be patient.
February 18, 2020 at 17:09
Hi Brit, thank you for all the advises and support you gave to us. We passed our interview in November 2019 and moved to USA on 01/15/2020 thanks be to God. We received our green cards exactly after 3 weeks. May God bless you as you have chosen to help people you don’t even know. May you never lack.
We are yet to receive our SSN this being week 5. We ticked on the DS 260 form that our SSN be delivered to our host address. Could there be a delay? How long does it take for it to be processed?
February 18, 2020 at 20:15
Welcome to the States.
5 weeks for the SSN is too long to wait. Go to the local SSA office and apply for the SSN there. They will probably try to make you go away – but be politely persistent.
February 18, 2020 at 21:56
Thank you Brit. God bless you.
February 18, 2020 at 18:33
Hi
usually on which dates 2nl comes out?
February 18, 2020 at 20:24
There are two batches sent – both in the second half of the month.
February 18, 2020 at 18:44
Hi brit…I am Dv20202 winner and got approved..what should i deliver to the immigration officer in my first entry at the airport in addition to the sealed packet?
February 18, 2020 at 20:26
Nothing – just that and the passport is all you need.
February 18, 2020 at 21:01
I won Dv lottery 2020 and I am Syrian as I heard Syrian people will not pass the interview in the Embassy because their country is between block countries is that right????
February 18, 2020 at 21:11
Yes your country is affected by the travel ban. Unless you have some reason to be exempted from the ban, you will not be approved.
February 18, 2020 at 21:14
Hi Brit.
My husband and I have moved to America on the Diversity Visa. He was the main applicant. He has received his Social Security number and card, however mine has not even been issued yet. Social Security office says they cannot tell me as to why it has not been issued yet.
Any help please?????
February 18, 2020 at 21:51
I have no idea why they have not issued your SSN. Go and speak to the SSA and be politely firm.
February 19, 2020 at 23:48
I had the same problem, I went here with the DV lottery after 2 montres I went at ten SSN office and they said they did not know why I did not received my SS but I applied everytime With my same informations and the 3rd time i received my SSN so go and retry to apply. Sometimes it has just not been printed
February 18, 2020 at 22:01
Just wondering roughly how much notice you get for the interview from the issuing of the 2NL. I thought I read 6 weeks somewhere but cant seem to find the article again. So 2NLs sent out late Feb should be interviewed roughly mid April? Im very remote in Aus and this is going to take some planning!
February 18, 2020 at 22:19
They are not fixated on the 6 weeks notice. April interviews will be notified in February. The interviews could be from early April to the end of April – so obviously some with have less notice than 6 weeks, some will have more.
February 18, 2020 at 22:54
Hello dear brit
Am 1 of the victims of the new travel ban, besides im refugee in Ethiopia. I have been reading about the waiver alot. Im Eritrean and i found the waiver requirements (i.e the three points stated in the proclamation ) to be more appropriate with my case. So im ready for an action to prepare a waiver document and show it to the counselor during the interview.
1. What other advices do you have regarding that.?
2. What are the chances of winning the Visa from your past experience.?
February 19, 2020 at 05:40
Hi Brit, A quick question.
I have sent several follow up emails to make sure KCC is satisfied with my docs, submitted during November 2019. I have been receiving the same email every time, ‘thanks for your inquiry, Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing….’
I only once got another email, saying: ‘please promptly submit your docs…’ after I replied saying I have already submitted my docs, got the same previous message.
I am guessing that is only because my case number is high, AS27xxx and need more waiting time. Do you think that is the case? It would be just relaxing to get the confirmation and make sure there is nothing missing.
Thank you,
February 19, 2020 at 09:44
also resubmitted all docs early February just to make sure.
February 19, 2020 at 17:53
They are handling the backlogs in case number order, so as documents come in for case numbers lower than yours, they will process the other case ahead of you. So – it might take a while – be patient.
February 19, 2020 at 08:04
Hi Brit,
Expecting when i will receive the second email ?
my case number: AS000127XX
February 19, 2020 at 18:02
I say the same thing EVERY month.
https://britsimonsays.com/vb-for-april-2020-interviews-released/
February 19, 2020 at 08:29
Hi Brit. I have my interview scheduled on 30, March. But my worry is about my variation in names.
It appears as NICK DERICK OMONDI on BIRTH CERT
and NICK DERRICK CHRIS on PASSPORT and all other legal documents including certificates, bank details etc.
I have a new affidavit sworn before a commissioner of oaths and old affidavit(sworn on 2016 when joining college as a minor) explaining the variations.
Have you encountered anyone who had a similar issue in the past and how did the consular officers go about it during the interview?
Can it lead to rejection at interview?
Do i need any other legal documents to support this discrepancy ?
How about a deed poll
February 19, 2020 at 18:06
There is a risk of course- but it might be more routine in your country. As for documents – you must decide what is best for your case – I have no idea what carries weight in your country.
February 19, 2020 at 08:58
Hi Brit.
my case number is 2020AF35XXX And I did not receive the document confirmation email , it’s normal !!!!!!!!
Thank you,
February 19, 2020 at 18:09
Have you asked them if they are satisfied with your documents?
February 19, 2020 at 09:21
Hi Brit

February 19, 2020 at 12:20
Hi britsimon I want to ask you can playing dv lottery reduce your future US immigration chances. Thanks
February 19, 2020 at 21:20
Entering the lottery has no affect.
Winning has no affect.
Completing the DS260 can affect future *NON* immigrant visas.
February 19, 2020 at 12:47
Dear Brit,
Do you have any information if the 2nl for april interview are beeing released?

February 19, 2020 at 15:09
2020AF36xxx Hi Simon,
My wife has travelled to study in Sept 2019 to a different country (Europe) from the country we currently live (Africa). I remain with our kids. Everyone has been entered in the initial DV. I just request to unlock her DS260.
As you can see, we are current for VB of April 2020.
I hope she can do the interview in her country of residence and we do our own where we are??
Thanks
February 19, 2020 at 21:23
No – you all interview together.
February 20, 2020 at 00:41
Thanks Simon. Then I will not change her location for interview.
Please is the visa issued immediately after interview? My wife is studying in Europe if she comes back to Africa for the interview, she will just have some few days….and will need her passport to return…
What should we do?
February 20, 2020 at 01:02
It can take a week or two. You can discuss her travel need at the interview.
February 20, 2020 at 19:08
Thanks Simon – Appreciate.
Just to let me know – They responded today to my unlock request and SURPRISINGLY asked me to provide the reasons of my request for them to appreciate before unlock.
I have used your FAQ section to draft my email of request and this response today was a surprise: This means they are really changing.
I will explain to them anyway and see the answer. I will update you.
They also sent me today the email that my documents….are correct and I will get scheduled when I become current.
THANKS A LOT
February 20, 2020 at 22:41
Yeah they are asking some people…
February 19, 2020 at 15:38
Dear Brit,
the case # AS18xxx, and after submitting the DS-260 I have visited new country for 7 months, and i just came back to my county.
my question is, shall i unlock the DS-260 to update it since i stay more then 6 months, noting that i have started my visit later after submitting my DS-260
February 19, 2020 at 21:28
Read the instructions about what countries you need police certs.
February 20, 2020 at 20:11
Hi Brit,
your advise is highly appreciated.
I forget to tell you that I have arranged the police certificate for the entire period i had stayed already.
Do i need to unlock my DS260 to mention this period or i can just present the police certificate during the interview?
please keep in mind that my case# is AS18xxx, a d my DS260 already recieved by KCC as per their confirmation email.
February 20, 2020 at 22:43
Documents such as police certs are to be sent to KCC prior to interview.
February 19, 2020 at 18:11

Do you have any other idea or advise?
Thank you very much! You do a great job helping people like us!

February 20, 2020 at 12:28
Hello Mr. Brit Simon,
CN 2020AS9XXX Nepal, some of my friends with higher CN within 10500 got their 2NL and we haven’t got any. Is it because we resent the documents (about this I have mentioned earlier). I know still there are time for this month to get our 2NL. Will they take the time to review our documents (these are the same documents I sent earlier)? Shall we wait for another month? Or will they send in another batch?
Please suggest us.
Sorry for bothering you again and again.
February 20, 2020 at 13:43
Slowly but surely I’m getting anxious about what’s going to happen with the high European cases.
I know I shouldn’t bother you with this, but I still haven’t got an answer from KCC about my sent documents (since Nov), even though I mailed them, still no reply. Despite the fact I haven’t got a reminder mail.
I mean if Europe might become current in the next two to three months, is there a chance that they can give approval right before it happens?
Case: EU49xxx
February 20, 2020 at 22:26
Ask KCC if they are satisfied with your documents.
February 20, 2020 at 22:24
Have they completed processing of your documents?? I am not asking if they received your documents, have they PROCESSED them? Have you checked?
February 20, 2020 at 23:05
Hello,
I think this is what you replied for me. Obviously they received our documents, we got the confirmation ‘Congratulations, our records indicates that…….’,. Surely I checked every single document before I sent (resent) it.
February 21, 2020 at 00:56
OK, then no need to do anything. Just wait for the 2NL.
February 20, 2020 at 13:57
1. I’m a principal application, when I arrive the USA first, the green card just only make my card?
My wife doesn’t?
2. Is will affect my citizenship application, when I divored after I got a green card?
February 20, 2020 at 22:26
1. You both get GCs.
2. No.
