Hi Simon,
Documents along with translations sent on Oct.25.2019 (Received and currently processing)
Follow-up email on Feb.24.2020 (received an automated reply) – I actually sent 3 emails since I missed mentioning my birthdate and case number in 2 of the emails but also received different automated replies.
1. Is it going to cause a problem? Multiple emails..
—————
After watching your last video, I emailed kcc again asking if they are satisfied with the documents
(Title: follow-up on documents. At the end of the email: first and last name – full case number with leading zero’s and birthdate mm/dd/yyyy)
I also received an automated reply….
This is a part of the email:
“For inquiries about specific cases, please ensure that you have included your case number, first and last name, and date of birth with your inquiry. If this information is not provided or is inaccurate, KCC will be unable to process your inquiry.”
2. Should I expect another email for document confirmation or should I call them?
Thank you!
May 7, 2020 at 21:57
1. No
2. Call them.

Hi Brit
Thank you for your time and effort.
My case number is AF455XX I already received an email confirming my DS260 and documents. I am married to a Japanese and she won’t be immigrating with me which I mentioned in the DS260. I’m currently in Vietnam working and I’m waiting for my 2NL and airports to open so that I can go home and pass my interview.
I have some questions for you and I’m hoping you can help.
1. Considering the current situation, should I avoid asking for changing the interview location to Vietnam or Japan?
2. My wife is can’t join until late 2021 hence I said in the DS260 that she won’t be immigrating with me and that she would join me at a later date. I did not send her documents. I just sent mine along with the marriage certificate. Is that sufficient?
3. I have a retired friend who is willing to send me the i134, are retired people i34 acceptable?
Thank you for your time
In anticipation

I just wanted to mention that Vietnam has already ended the lockdown with zero deaths and couple of hundred cases. It is one of the safest, coronavirus free countries in the world now. So i believe embassies here would have it easier reopening here. Thanks
May 7, 2020 at 22:27
Hi brit.
Am a student but financed by a body in my country called HESFB ( loan scheme ).
Can that affect my chances of being given a VISA at my interview.
Thanks
May 7, 2020 at 22:59
I wouldn’t have thought so.
May 8, 2020 at 08:05
Hi Mr Simon,
I am the principal applicant and I sent documents for me and my derivatives but I only submitted DS-260 for myself ( I am principal applicant) . Can I be scheduled for an interview with just having DS-260 submitted for myself or should I quickly submit DS-260’s for my derivates as well? Also, one of my children aged out (22 years old now) and I didn’t start their application, therefore can’t submit, but they are included in the list of applicants on DS-260, will that be regarded as an incomplete application?
Thanks a lot.
May 8, 2020 at 20:00
Each person wanting the GC will need their own DS260 – so do that. For the child aged out there is no need to submit a DS260.

Dear all is there anyone(from Europe) whose case number is greater than EU30K( for example 2020EU00030016) and has he/she received
the documents confirmation email or has an interview been scheduled. I want to collect a statistic for understanding my case-number situation.
May 8, 2020 at 16:00
As per the ceac data published by xiarthisius, there should not be such cases. As of May 1st it shows that the max case number with “Ready” status is at 26xxx level.
Dear BritSimon, Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks
May 8, 2020 at 19:50
Do you mean for Asia region?
May 8, 2020 at 20:08
Xathisius’ data is the way to look at it – correct.
May 8, 2020 at 18:58
“ All required Documents received and ready to be scheduled email “ got that email late February I’m EU31Xxx
May 9, 2020 at 14:24
There is no update for the EU case number 31-32, but WALT says that received confirmation letter. Does it mean that xarthisius is not uptadet at all ?
May 9, 2020 at 15:08
Data is up to date. Confirmation letter that all documents are received and verified has nothing to do with CEAC.
May 9, 2020 at 17:39
Exactly.

Hello Brit,
My name is Egzon and I have won the lottery in Europe with a number in line around 33000.
I received an e-mail that my documents were accepted and I’m ready to be assigned for an interview, but in the DV-bulletin web page, when I’m searching for the current number it doesn’t show me anything at it. The last number that was assigned was around 30000. I want to know if the lottery is suspended because of the COVID-19 Pandemy, or has the lottery finished calling numbers for this year.
Thank you in regard,
Egzon
May 9, 2020 at 21:21
The pandemic has closed all the embassies, and there is an immigrant ban also. So – processing is halted, but be patient to see what happens.
May 9, 2020 at 22:22
Yes, I had received an email same like you.
May 8, 2020 at 15:24
Hi Brit,
Thank you for your answer with regards to my question about the Court Record and the Military Record a few days ago.
I sent an email to KCC a few days ago, just after I asked you the above question, to ask them if they have received our documents and satisfied with it. Today I got their answer saying that “the information I have provided does not match the case number” I don’t know what’s wrong. Before I sent an email to KCC I was very careful in checking the case number and check the correct spelling of my name and the date of birth. I checked a few times before clicking send.
In every email I sent to KCC for any inquiry in the subject line I put my case number and on the head of my email I wrote:
Case number: 2020AS233**
Name: SIM MALIDEN
DOB: OCT 10, 19**
Dear Sir/Madam …
Back in November I wrote to KCC to unlock my case as I wanted to update some information and I wrote the same like above and they wrote back saying they have now unlocked my case. There was no problem back then. But this time why they said the information I gave does not match the case. That is weird. I checked my email and did not see anything not correct.
For your understanding is there anything wrong?
May 8, 2020 at 20:07
Your case number needs the leading zeros when you talk to KCC.
May 11, 2020 at 04:24
Hi Brit,
Thank you very much for your kind reply. I have another question and please help. I login the CEAC login and it says ” The case information you entered does not match our records” in red and the text asked to contact KCC. I don’t think I have entered my case number, my name and my date of birth incorrectly. I have tried many times but it appears the same that my case number does not match their record. Previously I have not problem logging in the CEAC login.
Why is that like that or my case mistakenly deleted or taken out from the DV lotter 2020 winner? And that was the problem why when I emailed them to ask if they have received my documents they said the information I provided does not match the case number. I check in the DV lottery entrance check and the 1NL is still there.
For your opinion what should I do now if my case is not there? Have you ever met any situation like that from you blog followers?
Please help.
Best regards,

https://britsimonsays.com/faq/ds260-case-number-doesnt-match-case-number/
May 11, 2020 at 05:11
Thank you so much. It worked now. I forgot about that.
But like I told you on first question above. I email KCC a few days ago but their reply says the information I provided does not match the case number. I sent them with the leading AS00023*** and my full name and date of birth. Why they say it does not match the case? I have already emailed them again and just wait for their reply. But have heard of any similar situation like this from the other people?
May 11, 2020 at 13:16
KCC’s reply means you did something wrong in the way you listed your details. It’s that simple.
May 11, 2020 at 18:52
Maliden,
I did the same mistake, you should put your case number as follows:
2020AS00023***
(Full 14 digit number)
Good luck
May 8, 2020 at 19:06
Hello Mr. Simon
First I want to thank you for your time and effort.
My case number is AF455XX I already received an email confirming my DS260 and documents:
“Congratulations! Our records indicate that you have submitted all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing.” I received this on March 12th
I am married to a Japanese and she won’t be immigrating with me (I notified KCC in our DS260). I’m currently in Vietnam working, I’m waiting for my 2NL and airports to open so that I can go home and pass my interview.
I have 3 questions for you and I’m hoping you can help:
1. Considering the current situation, should I avoid asking for changing the interview location to Vietnam or Japan?
2. My wife can’t join me until late 2021 hence I said in the DS260 that she won’t be immigrating with me and that she would join me at a later date. I did not send her documents. I just sent mine along with the marriage certificate. Is that sufficient? (I thought only the one going is enough)
3. I have a retired friend who is willing to send me the i134, are retired people i34 acceptable?
Thank you for your time
In anticipation
May 8, 2020 at 20:18
1. It’s your choice. Presumably Vietnam would be easier.
2. Yes, as long as you understand it will take around 2 years to get her a visa later.
3. Yes, as long as the sponsors income is sufficient.
May 8, 2020 at 21:06
Thanks for your quick reply it is reassuring. Mind if I bother you again with another question. How to approach changing the interview location? Should I wait for the 2NL or do it now? I’m bit worried that it’ll cause me more delay.
May 8, 2020 at 21:36
Do that before 2nl. You don’t choose the location yourself, they schedule the interview based on your location. Covered in the FAQ.
May 8, 2020 at 22:35
Thanks a bunch I truly appreciate it sir
May 8, 2020 at 20:02
Dear Brit one question,
I willed the non filers stimulus form as single, and I got 1200$ my mistakes was: did not read that people who became immigrants in 2020 cannot file that form
And 2nd I did it so quickly that filled as single and left blank the part about dependants. Could you please advise me what to do? I tried to contact IRS but there was no response. Will I have problems about this stupid mistakes?
I appreciate your answer.
May 8, 2020 at 20:24
I don’t know anything about that process.
May 10, 2020 at 09:33
What is your mistake?where did you read information about immigrants in 2020 cannot file that form non filter stimulus . Do you have SSN, if u have dan no Problem ! You are married or single
May 8, 2020 at 20:42
Hi Brit,
My friend called kcc today to ask about 2NL and they said that they don’t think to send out them this month because of embassies closure, they think to send them from next month (June). What do you think? Do you have different informations?
May 8, 2020 at 21:09
No different information. They would only schedule interviews if they think the embassies will be open.
May 8, 2020 at 23:43
Will they conduct arranging the interviews (in July, August and September) even though the ban might be extended? What would happen then if someone remains on AP after September 30th?
May 8, 2020 at 23:59
Right now they are not scheduling interviews because of the ban, and of course the embassy closures.
So – that suggest that they would not schedule or conduct interviews if the ban is extended.
After September 30th, the case dies.
May 9, 2020 at 07:58
Brit so what happens to us winners that have not yet conducted the interview . Have done visit medicals. Our interview for April was council. We are family of 4 we invested money in this journey. I can’t believe it will end that way… so unfair…
May 9, 2020 at 14:06
You’ll have to wait until you can be rescheduled, and the smart decision would be to redo your medicals because your visa validity will be based on the medical date. OBVIOUSLY don’t do that until you you are close to an interview date.
May 9, 2020 at 03:23
Hi Simon,
Just curious if you have gotten an update over the past week from the lawyer that’s working on the lawsuit favoring the DV lottery you mentioned in one of your videos?
Thanks !
May 9, 2020 at 14:03
No
May 9, 2020 at 06:56
Dear Brit,
I have a question about education documents. I have spelling mistake in high school certificate, but in bachelor diploma everything good. What should I do? Should I take to interview only bachelor diploma?
May 9, 2020 at 14:04
Take everything to the interview.
May 9, 2020 at 14:50
Thank you! That spelling mistake in my family name can that be a problem?
May 9, 2020 at 17:41
Typically not.
May 9, 2020 at 11:25

Yes, wait.
May 9, 2020 at 13:28
Hi Brit,
I have immigrant visa, but until today i didn’t enter in US to activate my Green Card.
There is a travel ban for Schengen area. My country is not part of this Schengen area, but if i want to travel to US, I must make transit in some country in Schengen area. Just on airport. Because there is no direct flight from my country.
Is this mean that i can go or not in US?
Thanks
May 9, 2020 at 14:16
Traveling through the Schengen area does not affect you.
May 9, 2020 at 18:58
Thanks a lot.
That means that i should not expect any issues to enter in US, even i will make transit in Schengen area, ex. Amsterdam, right?
May 9, 2020 at 15:30
Dear Mr. Simon,
Thank you for your helpful information!
What does it mean: case at NVC?
May 9, 2020 at 17:41
Nothing. That is just the starting point for all cases.
May 9, 2020 at 18:13
It means that the case is ready to be scheduled?
Thank you once again!
May 9, 2020 at 18:56
No. Nothing. It means nothing.
May 9, 2020 at 17:26
Good Morning Sir, I have one question. one of friend is there in USA but he is under L1B Visa category and he is paying tax also. Can he give me sponsorship for I-134 application
Waiting for your favorable reply Sir
May 9, 2020 at 17:42
No – that is a temporary position.
May 9, 2020 at 17:52
Sir one my sister is there(Green Card ststus) her family 3 members and my family also 3 members her yearly income 35000-40000 USD can she give me a sponsorship for I-134 application
May 9, 2020 at 18:56
https://britsimonsays.com/all-about-public-charge-affidavit-of-support-i-134/
May 10, 2020 at 09:26
If you intend to show the above you will need to show around $10,000 for each adult, and a bit less for children (for example $25,000 for a family of four, $10,000 for a single person). This can be from a combination of the above.
If you cannot show that level of personal finance a job offer can help, and of course someone already working in the USA on a temporary visa can show existing salary (payslips, tax records, job confirmation letters and so on).
Sir it mean my sister(Green card Status) and my friend(L1B) join to gather can sponsor to me.
May 10, 2020 at 13:58
No it does not mean that.
May 9, 2020 at 18:21
Hello Brit,
I’ve watched a video of an immigration lawyer from NY. She said some senators are working on a bill to suspend and extend the ban upto to a year.
Question: if such a bill passes and becomes a law, does it mean the DV period will also be extended?
What’s your thoughts.
Thank you
May 9, 2020 at 18:55
No.
May 9, 2020 at 19:35
Hi, I think the senators are talking about worker visas

May 9, 2020 at 21:26
Good day Simon
I have got to the stage where I received an email saying that my interview was cancelled at the embassy in South Africa. My interview date was scheduled for 21 May 2020 and I cannot change the date to reschedule due to covid 19 pandemic.
Current lockdown rules prohibit domestic travel and things will get increasingly worse by September.
What will happen if I am still unable to have my visa interview after 30 September 2020?
Will my application roll over with the 2021 applicants?
This seems to be a grey area as there is only one physician in JHB to complete the medical and the drive takes on average 13 hours to get there.
Very confusing, but look forward to your thoughts.
Thank you
May 9, 2020 at 21:45
It’s not a gray area at all. The law is very clear. Any case not approved by the end of September 30th each fiscal year can not get any further benefit from the selection. If you are unable to complete the medical/interview in time, you will not get your GC.
May 11, 2020 at 15:03
Dear Brit.
I have attended my interview already, but my case is in further Administration process. Will my case be affected if September 30 elapse?
May 11, 2020 at 15:58
If September 30th is passed, and you still haven’t been approved, then you won’t get the visa.
May 9, 2020 at 23:44
Hello sir, I am from Nepal (AS)my Number is current for June and my question is….
1. I am not getting 2nd letter or any information. So it’s because of COVID 19? ( our country is still lockdown)
2. What about my medical report ? Is it better start talking appointment when I get second letter?
May 10, 2020 at 01:32
1. Yes
2. Yes
May 10, 2020 at 00:04
When I was registering for the dv2021 I printed the page which has the confirmation number. When I tried to check my status, I copied and pasted the confirmation number from the file into the form. It always shows invalid confirmation number. I am 100% sure there is no problem with me posting the confirmation number. What is wrong with the website?
May 10, 2020 at 00:11
Nothing , results for you will be available June 6th.
May 10, 2020 at 01:32
As Walt explained, the results have been postponed. But then you would already know that if you had read the other article you posted under…

hi brit in these link https://www.foxnews.com/politics/daines-to-introduce-bill-aiming-to-extend-trumps-executive-order-on-immigration there is a senator called Danes trying to extend the trump ban and many senators including ted cruse have signed a petition and sent it trump asking him to extend the green card ban until the end of the year these is right it is over please don’t say let us wait and see
May 10, 2020 at 02:43
1. The new bill is about other visa types.
2. Nothing is decided yet.
3. Wait and see.
May 10, 2020 at 06:57
Whatever they decide, I hope they will do it quickly. Otherwise, every time there is small hope which at the end turns out to be a false hope. It looks unlikely that they will exclude green card from any new extension if it happens. So better to face the reality faster and clearly.
My humble opinion.
Thanks
May 10, 2020 at 03:27
Greetings to you Sir. Please I wish to know if the ban is extend will it affect the DV 2021 result by adjoining it again to later day or the result can be withheld this year.?
May 10, 2020 at 04:31
At this point there is no impact. I cant predict the future.
May 10, 2020 at 09:59

May 10, 2020 at 10:21
Dear Mr.Simon,
1- I have already sent my documents to KCC in October..and I didn’t get any confirmation e-mail yet.
And 3 days ago, decided to ask them to see if everything is O.K. or not. I wrote to KCCDV and have got an auto-reply, in the first part it says:
“Thank you for your inquiry.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email.”
2- Now, I feel bad because I checked the first auto-reply from KCCDVdocuments in October and there is no any attachment but in the first part It says :
“The Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) has received your email and is currently processing your documents.”
It seems pretty O.K but there is no any attachment on that auto-reply!!
And now I am just shocked and understanding that my documents never arrived to KCC for further processing.. Am I correct ?
3-Even if it is a standard same auto-reply e-mail for everyone, that doesn’t calm me down because there is no attachment in the October e-mail and don’t know what to do.. They say :
“”Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.””
Please help Mr.Simon, I don’t want to loose a life time opportunity due to lack of communication..
May 10, 2020 at 14:03
The emails sent TO you do not have attachments. But anyway, wait for their actual email (NOT AUTO REPLIES)
May 10, 2020 at 11:02
Hi Brit Simon
I am winner of GC dv lottery 2020.My case number is around the 50K(50000) But Due to the Corona Virus all the borders have been closed. How much chance I have to being invited to Visa meeting and then go to America???
May 10, 2020 at 14:03
I don’t know – wait and see.
May 10, 2020 at 13:22
Hello Brit, if for some reason the ban is extended will those who were placed on AP and had complied with every documents that were requested be compensated for their money spent on medicals and interview fee? Cuz I think it will be fair for the embassy to do just that since they weren’t the cause of covid- 19. Thanks
May 10, 2020 at 14:05
No.
May 10, 2020 at 13:31
Hi Brit,
Case AF32k , in February I received, Congratulations! Our records indicate that you have submitted all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current..” my case was current in the same month but in the ceac data my information is showing at NVC while some cases after mine are showing ready. Should I be worried?
May 10, 2020 at 14:06
No. You do need to be patient.
May 10, 2020 at 15:56
Hi Simon
If someone started studying in October 2019, is it necessary to unlock DS-260 and add it? We filled this form in June 2019. Will this slow down our case and the entire process? We got our congratulation email on February 6th. If we have to add it, how to unlock our case? Do we have to send an email to KCC asking for unlocking the DS-260?
Thank you in advance!
May 10, 2020 at 16:13
No need to update the DS260 for that.
May 10, 2020 at 16:36
greetings brit, my wife has another nationality (Venezuelan for which she won and Spanish) must add both passports and how should I mention the name of the document in the case of Spanish? regards
May 10, 2020 at 17:14
Yes mention both nationalities and provide both documents. Use some judgement on naming.
May 10, 2020 at 22:13
Hi, I’m also Venezuelan and Spanish. Do I need to send a scanned copy of both passports to KCC as part of the documents package?
May 10, 2020 at 22:20
Hi karla we have a whatsapp group, only SA winners…if you want, please text me by whatsapp +56948994779 what is your case number ?
May 10, 2020 at 23:40
Well yes. Why wouldn’t you?
May 10, 2020 at 16:48
hi simon<
my wife is a principal winner. when we filled ds260 she was working. and about 5 months later she left her job.
1. Is that a problem during the interview? What do we say to them? what to do?
May 10, 2020 at 17:15
Not a problem, no need to update.
May 11, 2020 at 05:47
Hello Brit,
I read the letter which sent to trump to extend the ban after 60 days but on the letter they more focused on suspension of new guest worker visas. So does this mean they will not probably extend green card categories like DV?
Thanks
May 11, 2020 at 13:16
It’s just a letter. It means nothing until some action is taken.
May 11, 2020 at 06:44
Hi Mr Simon,
My case number is AS25xxx, and I have submitted DS260 and related documents to KCC last Oct. However, I have not received document confirmation email from KCC yet, so I emailed to KCC to check if my documents are all processed without problem and got reply as below:
Thank you for your inquiry.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2020 program will begin in October 2019 and conclude on September 30, 2020. Please refer to the visa bulletin at https://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
My question is, according to KCC’s reply, my DS-260 has been processed. Does that mean my documents are processed and confirmed by KCC as well?
Since all case number become current in June, I am not sure if I am all set for interview according to the email reply.
Thank you for your time and all the information shared on the blog with us.
Hope you safe and healthy during the difficult time.
Sincerely,
Vince

Hey Britsimon, thanks so much for all your efforts to help us with the DV related issues. My question today is that, please do I have to apply for DS260 separately after Applying for the dv green card lotteries Whiles awaiting for results in June 6th ?

You wait until you have been selected, and then, IF selected, you complete the DS260.

Hi Simon,
I did email KCC to see if they are satisfied with my documents..
This was the email body:
Dear…..
I would like to follow-up on the documents sent on oct.25.2019 (passport biographic page, police certificate, birth certificate and translations)
Full name
Case number: 2020AS00023xxx
Birthdate: MMDDYYYY
———————
They just replied saying that my DS-260 has been processed. Nothing noting they are satisfied with the documents.
1. Is this the reply I’m looking for?
2. Should I just go ahead and call them?
May 11, 2020 at 21:50
1. No
2. If you want, yes.

Dear Mr Brit,
Myself and family has gotten family based immigration visa and validity ends on 25/05/2020.
1) What if we cannot travel before validity ? Will 30th September fiscal year affect if we unable to renew our visa due to lockdown ?
2) Immigration ban will affect our visa renewal chances ?
Thanks for your help

Hi Mr. Brit
Thank you for all the help and the answers to nearly all the questions asked. My case was scheduled for interview in March and I did the medical I in February. According to the procedure, our medical report which is valid for six (06) month ie August ending and the Visa is supposed to expire the same day the medical expire. My question(s)
1- If the ban is not extended and we are granted the Visa will they extended it to expire beyond the normal date in August
2- if the ban is extended and we are to be interview after the expiry date of the medical in August does it mean that we will have to go for medical again
3- Presently the medical report is still with the doctor if we face the situation of point 2 above and are to go for fresh interviews, will the embassy and the doctor have an understanding and we will redo the medical or I will be the one to still pay for the medical.
Again thank you very much and hope you find answers to my questions.
May 13, 2020 at 01:53
1. No. The medical would need to be repeated.
2. Yes
3. That would be up to the physician.

Hello Mr Brit !
I am a lady living in Afghanistan and I am a principal lottery winner for 2020 I have filled the ds 260 form but I am very worried please answer the following question .
– I have been to school in Balkh province of Afghanistan for 12 years but during these 12 years I have gone to my home in Kabul province every three month vacation every year ( which is another province) I.e. my home is in one province and my school is in another province, of course, my children were born in my home in Kabul province on three months vacation.
Now the question is, Is it correct to write both in the previous address in ds 260 or only education period in Balkh province?
If only education period in Balkh province is correct my children birth place is Kabul province.
Note: my English is not good please answer my question clearly.
Thanks for your helping
May 13, 2020 at 01:54
You should list the address that you considered your “home” address for that period of time.
May 12, 2020 at 10:38
I’m waiting for the DV2021 and I’m 20, turning 21 on November 3rd.
Since the DV2020 entrant status check is delayed of one month, does it mean that I love one month of Child status protection act (CSPA)?
May 13, 2020 at 01:55
The CSPA protection period would theoretically be increased by one month.

Good day Brit, we got our dv visas since March but unable to travel because of this pandemic. What happened if we don’t travel and the visas get expired?
Please advise!

Hi dear Brit,
I have a B1 visa and I’m out of the States right now. My interview was supposed to take place in April at the Embassy.
But what if I travel to the States? I have a legitimate reason as my spouse lives there. And once the ban is extended, may I apply for AOS? I know in general it’s immigration fraud, but given the circumstances there should be ways, shouldn’t there?
May 13, 2020 at 01:56
No – that would be fraudulent, and wouldn’t work anyway.
May 12, 2020 at 15:02
dear mr simon
maybe is already a question answered but i did not understand.
the 2L of JULY interview will be out on 15 and 25 of MAY or 15 and 25 of JUNE??
Best regards
sofia
May 13, 2020 at 01:57
July interviews are based on 2NLs sent in May.
May 12, 2020 at 15:07
hello brit what if trump only extends the ban for another 60 days will we have a chance
May 13, 2020 at 01:58
That would depend on the dates and terms of the extension.
May 13, 2020 at 02:55
i don’t understand your response brit the current ban expires on june 23 for the sake of argument let as assume he extends the ban for another 60 days that means august 23, interviews are scheduled 2 months before hand so all dv cases must be scheduled by the end of july for september interviews so in these scenario if he extends it for 60 days it is game-over right
May 13, 2020 at 05:02
Let’s see if its extended.
May 13, 2020 at 03:03
Dear Brit,
My baby was born 3 weeks ago abd and the passport is still pending. Can I add my baby’s DS260 with either my or my husband’s passport number?
Thanks in advance!
May 13, 2020 at 05:03
Yes
May 13, 2020 at 06:48
Hi Simon,
You mentioned that you went through AOS process for your green card. Need your advice regarding diplomas evaluation. I-944 requires to have foreign diplomas to be evaluated to show if the education is equivalent to US education. In my case I have High School (home country), Bachelor (home country) and MBA (USA). If I have proof of the US graduate degree, do I need to prove of equivalency for my high school and bachelor?
Thank you!
May 13, 2020 at 13:50
AOS questions should be asked to “Mom” and I see Mom has answered the questions.
May 13, 2020 at 20:54
Yes, indeed. I have already have my answer
