Hello, i was selected in Lottery DV2020 but never received an appointment for interview ( 68000) after the decision I contacted KCC, they reply this answer ( what do you think ? ):
Thank you for your inquiry.
On Wednesday, April 22, President Trump signed a proclamation suspending entry into the United States of certain immigrants who present risk to the U.S. labor market during the economic recovery following the COVID-19 outbreak. The proclamation was effective at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 23. It was continued by President Trump on June 22, and will expire on December 31, 2020, unless continued. Applicants for immigrant visas covered by the proclamation, including Diversity Visa 2020 (DV-2020) applicants, who have not been issued an immigrant visa as of April 23 are subject to the proclamation’s restrictions unless eligible for an exception: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/covid-19-visa-services-and-restrictions.html. No valid visas will be revoked under this proclamation.
If you were previously issued a visa for the DV-2020 program that was valid on April 23 and that visa expired before you were able to travel to the United States, please contact the Embassy or Consulate where your visa was issued for further information.
All DV-2020 entrants who were selected must be found eligible for, and obtain, their visa or adjust status by September 30, 2020. This deadline cannot be extended. This same strict deadline also applies to spouses and children of principal applicants.
All DV-2021 diversity visa program applicants must be found eligible for, and obtain, their visa or adjust status by the end of fiscal year 2021 (September 30, 2021).
Without exception, all selected and eligible Diversity Visa Program applicants must obtain their visa or adjust status by the end of the fiscal year. There is no carry-over of DV benefits into the next year for persons who are selected but who do not obtain visas by September 30, 2020 (the end of the fiscal year). Also, spouses and children who derive status from a DV-2020 registration can only obtain visas in the DV category between October 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020.
Registration for the 2021 Diversity Visa program (DV-2021) is closed. Registration for the 2022 Diversity Visa program (DV-2022) begins on or around October 1, 2020. Individuals who submit more than one entry during the registration period will be disqualified. The website at dvlottery.state.gov will be the only way to register for DV-2022. Entries will NOT be accepted through the U.S. Postal Service.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.

September 10, 2020 at 22:03
Hi Mr Britsimonsays. my brother have been selected for dvlottery 2021. but someone stolen some of his documents and applied for ds260 without my permission . my question is can report to dvlottery and block it and also can i summit ds260 form again?
September 11, 2020 at 00:03
Your brother could contact KCC to discuss. But either you or your brother gave this other person access.

Hi Britain in
I am DV2021 lottery winner. When results were announced I immediately filled and submitted the DS260 as single way back in June 2021. In August 2020 I got married to a US citizen. Should we unlock the DS260 and make changes to married or should we better concentrate on spouse visa instead.
September 11, 2020 at 02:09
You could do either way.
September 11, 2020 at 03:41
Sorry
Noted some typos..
BritSimon…Not Britain in
And submitted DS260 in June 2020. Not 2021
Thank you for great work and quick response.
September 11, 2020 at 02:23
Hi There,
I am a resident of Asia and am currently in Australia and applied for the DV 2021 from Australia and have been randomly selected. My case number ends with 65XX. I am just worried about the chances of getting the second letter and would require your feedback on this. Thank You
September 11, 2020 at 03:31
I have articles and videos that answer that in detail. Please take a look.
September 11, 2020 at 03:07
Hi my case number is 2021AS80XX and I am from Nepal. I had received the email to send my documents by KCC yesterday, but due to this pandemic its not possible to collect them now. Till when do I have to submit these document ? Is there any deadline? Also some of my document are in both my native language and English. Do I need translations for such documents? Thank you Simon for your efforts.
September 11, 2020 at 03:36
No deadline. Read the instructions about translations.
September 11, 2020 at 03:46
Hi Brit, my case number is 2021AS65XX and I am from Nepal as well. However, I am in Australia at the moment. I have not received any email from KCC. However, I have heard that the individual with higher case number than mine have received the email. Does this mean I do not have any chance of receiving the email. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
September 11, 2020 at 05:46
Doesn’t mean anything like that. Be patient, you’re fine.
September 11, 2020 at 06:19
Thanks Brit
September 11, 2020 at 03:14
Hello sir,
I already submitted my DS-260 in July as Single. I’m getting married soon. Can I just unlock the form and update my marital status?. My partner won’t join me now as derivative, as agreed (*She is an essential specialist in the Military of my country).
Hope that won’t be an issue during interview? (We’ve being dating for almost 6yrs now).
Thanks!
September 11, 2020 at 03:38
Yes you can add her. No problem.
September 11, 2020 at 03:44
Thank you sir…
You mean adding her as beneficiary isn’t a problem?… I have solid proofs of our 6yrs relationship.
I just don’t want to risk or complicate issues…
Thanks again, sir… God richly bless you
September 11, 2020 at 03:21
Hi,
If trump doesn’t end the ban and is re-elected, what are the options if we do happen to be approved for the visa in the next couple of weeks? Can they reissue a new visa after its expiry? If not, can you travel as a tourist for vacation to the USA if you have an expired immigrant visa?
September 11, 2020 at 03:39
No options at that point. Once it expires you could get a new non immigrant visa.
September 11, 2020 at 04:17
Dear Sir,
I need your support to clarify these questions. because my interview is scheduled on 15th of september. currently i don’t have I-134 in hand and seeking to achieve it asap.
01. My embassy is ask I-134 and my sponsor said he can provide me the W2 that was sent it to his mail as a PDF. but my embassy is asks form 1099 also. what is it? is it required? if it required how long will take to get that.
They have mentioned to submit following documents or IRS transcripts for the most recent tax year by using IRS Form 4506-T to request transcripts.
“Federal Individual Income Tax returns with a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to the petitioner’s / U.S. sponsor’s returns.”
02. He was employee of a company and earned 35,000USD per year. He was not married. Is it enough me to satisfy the CO? I’m the only applicant in my case.
Thank You.
September 11, 2020 at 05:48
1. A 1099 is for self employed people/contractors etc. Most people present a 1040 tax return or W2
2. Yes
September 11, 2020 at 15:45
Thanks for the respond sir.
Is it okay to present that W2 for the recent tax year that was sent to his email? or he need to request it from IRS?
September 11, 2020 at 19:26
W2 is useful and a 1040 if possible.
September 11, 2020 at 04:42
Dear brit simon
I heard that judge preponed hearing of government response to 21 september.
1. Is it true?
2. How would it affect those whose case are ready to be scheduled?
3.could there be a chance that he could give extension because of low number of cases processed at that date?
September 11, 2020 at 05:50
1. Yes
2. We don’t know!
3. See 2.
September 11, 2020 at 06:26
Hello Britt, great job.
1. Tell me, so all those people who didn’t fill out the AILA form, even if they’re in group 1, 2 or 3, won’t be called for an interview?
Everywhere it speaks only of plaintiffs and in Congo Kinshasa, it is said that there are only 3 plaintiffs.
2. Based on this logic, the embassy will only receive these three?
September 11, 2020 at 06:46
1. If you were not one of the 7 on the AILA cases and not named on the other cases (Charles Kuck/Curtis Morrison), then you are not one of the named plaintiffs.
Explained here:
https://youtu.be/nwAhpu9Hsf8
2. No that is not correct – but the named plaintiffs will be handled FIRST
September 11, 2020 at 06:42
When will the dv 2021 interview will start from or there is still loss of three month up to December 30 or it’s going to start from November or it will be from january
September 11, 2020 at 06:51
I know there is some misleading information on some YT channels.
1. The judges order only specifies actions the government should take for DV2020 cases, not DV2021. So the ban is still in place, and the government will most likely continue to work the way they have been.
2. October interviews would have been arranged in August, so October is gone anyway.
3. November interviews would be arranged in September, but KCC have been order to put their efforts into DV2020, so that is also gone, even if the ban was not still in place.
So – in summary I believe we will see interviews start in January – but we will see.
September 11, 2020 at 07:18
Hi sir,
I an winner of dv2020 and I want to send an email to kcc. What is the email address of kcc for asking to take my case forward?
September 11, 2020 at 16:48
[email protected]
Please use google for simple questions.
September 11, 2020 at 14:09
One thing that is giving stress is because if my case number
I have 9.5k case number from nepal. Will i be affected by 3 months delay in processing?
Waiting for your response.
September 11, 2020 at 18:47
Wait and see.
September 11, 2020 at 14:53
Hello Brit,
I called KCC and pushed as much as possible but they use a strong sentence:
“The cases are handled numericaly” and my case is AF71XXX I denied there statement but they confirm that even the cases are current still there is such order!! Could you say something on that?
Thank you Brit in advance.
September 11, 2020 at 19:26
They are correct. They have too many cases and not enough time. How do you think they should order the cases?
September 11, 2020 at 14:59
Hello Brit am a dv 2021 selectee a kind question after submitting the ds 260 do I need to scan my original documents and send to KCC
September 11, 2020 at 19:26
They will ask for that in due course.
September 11, 2020 at 16:36
Hello Brit, Thanks a lot for all efforts. Now in Nepal Embassy rescheduling appointment of March and April cancelled #case no. I am one of the plaintiff & gr4(May month current) and ready for scheduling case. Till time i haven’t get any call/mail from kcc/embassy. As a plaintiff, why they are not giving Priority to my case for appointment ?
September 11, 2020 at 19:32
As you are in group 4, you need KCC to take action whereas the cancelled cases only needed the embassies to take action. Give them some time.
September 11, 2020 at 18:00
Hi Sir,
What do you think for a group 5 that sent all documentation but never received the email scheduling for an interview at USCIS as he is already in the U.S. for being an international student. Any suggestion?
Thank you,
September 11, 2020 at 19:36
Well that person should have switched to Adjustment of Status but it is too late for that now if he did not already start.
September 11, 2020 at 19:21
Hi Brit
I called KCC today trying to push them arrange an interivew for my Case , they said priority for plaintiffs of lawsuit , I submitted my case when you request to apply via that link you shard , Do I consider my self one of the plaintiffs ? if yes please can I get the list of plaintiffs to use it as prove when I contact them again .
Asma
September 11, 2020 at 19:33
If you were not one of the 7 on the AILA cases and not named on the other cases (Charles Kuck/Curtis Morrison), then you are not one of the named plaintiffs.

hi sir, after the decision I contact KCC , they reply this : ( what they mean ?)
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvlottery.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
For information on Presidential Proclamations and COVID-19 information that may affect Diversity Visa selectees, please review: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/covid-19-visa-services-and-restrictions.html.
For information on the impact of the September 4, 2020 ruling by the U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia in Gomez v. Trump, please see: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/diversity-visa-DV-2020-update.html
If you were either in the United States, or held a valid immigrant visa on April 23, when Presidential Proclamation 10014 (PP 10014) went into effect, you are not subject to PP 10014. Diversity Visa holders whose visas were valid on April 23, but were unable to travel and the visas have since expired, may be issued a new visa before September 30, 2020. Please contact the consulate or embassy that issued that visa for more information.
September 11, 2020 at 21:22
You can read the email. What is your scenario and case number.
September 11, 2020 at 21:56

September 11, 2020 at 22:00

September 11, 2020 at 22:19
Maybe – but its not certain.
September 11, 2020 at 21:43
Hello Simon .. Thank you very much for all your efforts.
Will 2021 have the same problems as 2020 due to the proclamation from October 1? o With the judge’s ruling, what would come out of the problem? Thank you.
September 11, 2020 at 22:21
2021 will be delayed.
September 12, 2020 at 00:24
Unbelievable!
September 12, 2020 at 03:59
Why is that unbelievable? Do you think the lawsuit and the proclamation was all fantasy?
September 12, 2020 at 15:41
Hi Your Excellency!
No it doesn’t mean that. Previously I was thinking that the lawsuit also will work for DV 2021 but now it is delayed.
September 11, 2020 at 21:44
Hi Brit
What will happen to those in Aila but not among the 7 representatives choosen or in any of the named plaintiffs? Does it mean we’ve lost it since kcc is not responding back?
September 11, 2020 at 22:20
No it does not mean that. Wait.
September 11, 2020 at 22:47
Dear Sir,
I hope to stay in connecticut and DS260 verify it but my sponsor is in new york. is it can be a problem?
September 11, 2020 at 22:51
No problem.
September 12, 2020 at 01:08
Hi Brit,
While filling the children details section of the DS260, I ran into an issue. I have a US citizen child and his details were not added the original DV entry as stated in the entry guidelines. Do I need to list him here as child who will be migrating with us as family. If the answer is no which seems as the right choice. How can I make sure that KCC are aware of his existence.
September 12, 2020 at 05:23
List the child as not emigrating with you.
September 12, 2020 at 01:21
Hi Brit, I have asked my host who is also my brother to prepare an affidavit of support for me, just to make it ready before I am asked to submit my supporting documents. But my CN is 2021AF45xxx. I want to know whether it is too early. Does it expire depending on when it was prepared?
September 12, 2020 at 05:22
Yes it is too early.
September 12, 2020 at 05:29
After the named plaintiffs are served do we who received the mail from Gomez ok to go
September 12, 2020 at 05:53
No – that is not how it will work. KCC will apply their own method of prioritization – which they have said is case number.
September 12, 2020 at 06:47
Dear Simon
Can i have the links about all the document needed for the interview so i can be over prepared. So i can make sure i didn’t miss anything
Thank you 🙂
September 12, 2020 at 20:08
Go through the official instructions and the country specific instructions.
September 12, 2020 at 07:22
Good work brit. God bless you
Dv 2020 winner
Pls has any one from cameroon had an appointment date given. 671066996 for any useful info please
September 12, 2020 at 07:56
Hi Mr Brit,
Greetings. The judge ordered that the State and it agencies should work in “good faith” but in my country Cameroon, the Physicians are not working in good faith. They are asking us to redo and pay exactly the same amount for the medical examination. Please how can I get to the legal team and give them this information even if we pay the same amount maybe it can help that others should pay something less.
September 12, 2020 at 10:12
@ Ceb have u had another appointment schedule. What group are u? Am in group 4 from cameroon too
September 12, 2020 at 20:27
First, the physician is not a government employee or agency.
Second, they are entitled to charge a fee for performing the medical again.
Third, I have made clear that medical fees would be charged during the process.
September 12, 2020 at 08:04
Hello Simon

Hi Sagar, i too is interview at Mumbai, India but I am residing in Australia. But i heard that india is still lockdown and closed for incomong. Please can you update me on the reopening of the India and also help to get whether international flights are functioning or not. Thanks
September 12, 2020 at 20:28
No.
September 12, 2020 at 08:04
If interview for DV 2021 starts from Jan, when should we expect to get second letter?
Since, Nepal has only one embassy. Because Nepal has limited selectees, the cases are spread throughout the whole fiscal year so it could decrease work load to the embassy.
If we have enough visa left (because selectees and gobal cap i.e is almost similar), cases will go current right? That means high CN from Nepal will also get chance.
Indirectly, 3 months delay wont affect last CN if we have enough visa left during process. Am i right sir?
Thank you for your work.
September 12, 2020 at 20:31
January interviews normally get 2NLs in November.
As for whether there will be enough visas or not – we have to wait and see.
September 12, 2020 at 08:51
Hi Simon,
Thanks for your great effort God bless you,
I am dv2020 winner category 4, I want to join dv 3.0 lawsuit, do you advise me to join?
Thanks

September 12, 2020 at 09:57
Hello Brit.I am a 2021 lottery winner ,and my case number is 2021AF51000.
1-do you think that I will have a chance to be interviewed if interviews will start on January ?
2-Since my case number is somehow high ,do you think that it ils advantagous to send my documents to kcc before recieving the emai requesting the documents or it is better to wait
Thank you in advance for your answers .
September 12, 2020 at 21:33
1. Possibly – wait and see.
2. It does not create any advantage to rush.
September 15, 2020 at 19:48
Does it create any harm to send the documents now ?
September 15, 2020 at 20:34
Not really, although people with high case numbers should consider the risk that they do not become current.

Hi Brit,
Thanks for all the work you are doing. Got a simple question. If there is a win for dv-2021 and playing dv-2022 will not be considered as disqualification for dv-2021? Thank you in advance.

No problem.

Hi Brit
As DV winner 2020 ,G4 and named plaintiff, hopefully i will have an interview asap and i am going to proceed with work experience , so please i need your advices and answers for the below questions:
1- if i cannot find the exact title of my job so can i print out the title which more likely semilar to the tasks i use to do?
2- i am trying to prepare as much as i can and i have requested to have an employment letter From our company and they have adressed the letter attention to US embassy In top of the letter but i have asked them to issue the letter without adressing to any party but they did not agree it seems , so is that okay to have the letter attention to the embassy where i will have interview because i remember one time i ask you that not mention it in such letter.
3- at the embassy i wonder if they will ask me at the time they will ask for my documents and copies in which base i am going to interview ( education or work experience) and accordingly i need to submit the proves documents or just i need to mention this matter during main interview with CO.
4- Since my wife is in a very advanced pregnancy, do you advise me to discuss this matter with the CO for my baby case and how he can travel after?or i leave and follow the guidance senario in your blog.
Thanks alot
Regards

1. Use the search for my work experience article.
2. See 1.
3. The interview is where you show documents that support your case.
4. Read the FAQ about adding a baby after visa issuance and before entry. It’s easy.

Do you know how long it takes for a green card to arrive in the mail to the US address listed on the DS-260 form?
September 12, 2020 at 21:46
Up to 4 months
September 13, 2020 at 03:19
Thank you. I read 3-6 so I was confused. You’re saying 4 months maximum.
September 13, 2020 at 04:40
Well – maximum implies a guarantee – and there are none. But if nothing is screwed up – 4 months is the most I have heard.

hi Brit. I’m a dv 2020 . sent my DS (+my child’s) and docs back in June but no confirmation email (group 5). I called severally all to no avail. yesterday’s I was told they can’t process my case because I’m not a plaintiff. so they are not processing anything based on case number. so sad. only an extension can save us.
thanks for the good work.

Hello Mr Britsimon,
My case is AS20218000, I unlocked my DS-260 a week ago for some revision, and still I have not resubmit it. meanwhile I have renewed our passports, because the passport during entry for DV had less months to be expired and the are cancelled.
The question is that
1- How should I resubmit the DS-260 ? with new passports information (passport number and expiration date) or I should keep the DS-260 with old passport information and resubmit it?
September 12, 2020 at 21:48
New passport. Submit old and new with documents and at the interview.

The date of birth of my father i filled in my DS260 is not the same in my birth certificat because they made a mistake in my birth certificat. So i would like to know if this can disqualify me to the interview ?

Hello BritSimon! My fiance is a named plaintiff in the Curtiss Morrison lawsuit. Late on Friday they received notice that she has a visa interview scheduled this coming Wednesday at the Moscow embassy. So, great news. However immediately after receiving this notice she tried to schedule her physical exam online (as it was after normal clinic hours) and the online calendar showed that they are completely booked for the rest of September. She is travelling to moscow in a few hours and will be sitting in the clinic lobby when they open monday morning to try and get her exam but our question is, if she cannot convince the clinic to fit her in on monday or tuesday, will she be refused her visa interview on Wednesday? Or can she do her interview and be put into appointments until she can have an exam and the clinic sends the results to the embassy?
Kind regards,
Aaron

You can forward the medical after the interview, but it must be before the deadline. Pay an expedite fee.

With all due respect, the Us embassy Ghana seems not to apply the ruling by Judge Mehta.
Even if you tell them your case is an emergency or mission critical , they reply that they have not resumed routine consular service. Some messages are not replied at all.
1 Why are they doing this ?
2can we renew our medicals whiles waiting for them to resume soon?
3please tell the Judge to warn the consular officers to give us our VISA if not they will go to prison for refusing a judge’s order.
In Ghana if you refuse a judge order, contempt will catch you.
We are stranded.

1. I don’t know.
2. You can try if you want to risk the fees.
3. There is no prison option.
