HI Brit
For the selective service form (DS-1810), the witness to sign should be the CO or i could get anyone to witness this doc for me?
I just want to be sure thanks
September 12, 2020 at 23:59
You submit that online after you enter the USA.
September 13, 2020 at 00:03
Oh ok. So this would not be asked by the CO at the interview right?
September 13, 2020 at 04:21
HI Brit,
As u helped DV2020 by coordinating with AILA and getting them a relief, We Dv2021 have too many selectees this year lowering our chances and now 3 months too being lost.
Jugde gave the order just because, it was not right to hold DV winners from not getting a visa even if they can’t travel..It was the basis of everything in the lawsuit…I don’t know how KCC will interprets that but I was just hoping as u provided relief to DV2020 , when our time comes u will be helping DV2021 by coordinating with AILA.
Thank u for all ur efforts
September 13, 2020 at 04:35
That is a different matter.
The order did not do anything for DV2021, even though the Judge recognized the no entry = No visa fallacy. In reality DV2020 was helped because it was established that DV2020 selectees were “harmed” by the policy – and therefore relief was possible. DV2021 cannot prove that harm, and for that reason it is not possible to request the same outcome for DV2021.
September 13, 2020 at 04:55
We can at least try right rather than waiting for 3 months to pass by and ur support is always required for all the DV winners….Just hoping u will support us in some way or the other.
September 13, 2020 at 14:19
I just carefully explained. Did I waste my time?
And it is not possible to save 3 months. October is gone for sure. November interviews should be arranged in September, but KCC has been ordered to focus on DV2020.
September 14, 2020 at 11:45
Thank you brit I understand now
September 13, 2020 at 07:54
Hi Brit why we will be hurt too I was thinking this case the court won is for all DV 2020 but I was like wrong because only plaintiff is going to achieved from this order , I am in a country where there is not travel ban to the USA. I am from Liberia I been mailing my embassy since the day of the case beening won but no respond because my name is not on the plaintiff. We too we are in pain too sir.
September 13, 2020 at 04:44
in your last video of case analysis you predicted below10k is safe number from Asia. After 3 month loss, will there be changes in your allocations?
I have 9500 from Nepal. Do i sit in risk zone?
thank you brit
September 13, 2020 at 14:04
As I said, there are many factors, and Nepal is not the same as the rest of Asia. So – wait and see.
September 13, 2020 at 14:28
i have read data about Nepal. Most of the time Nepal went current even if it had 4000 selectees.
I guess selectees wouldn’t be a problem. what could be others sir?
I know, comparing past record is an idiotic thing to do but you know, all my patience gone when i heard that 2021 may face the same problem like 2020. And on the top of that, i sit in the high range of case number from Nepal. I am sorry. i hope you will understand.
We are hoping you guys to make same effort which you are doing for 2020.
lots of love and take care
September 13, 2020 at 17:33
The selectee number is close to the 7% limit, though some won’t proceed and some will marry, have kids and so on. So – wait and see is the ONLY sensible answer.
September 13, 2020 at 06:31
Dear sir,
Embassy @ Nepal is not responding to reissue our( my as well as my dozens of friends’ ) expired visa . All of our visa expired before April 23 as we could not travel due to complete lockdown. I don’t think we are affected by president proclamation. But every time we request to reissue , they don’t respond well. How can we be treated so unjustly by the embassy as situation was not under our control ? Instead of helping us in this difficult situation of pandemic , the decision of embassy not to review our case has made all of us financially and morally down .
September 13, 2020 at 14:30
I don’t know. Keep trying and report it to AILA/Charles Kuck.
September 13, 2020 at 06:58
Dear simon
I find sponsor who is self employed what supporting documents i required from him ?
September 13, 2020 at 14:35
Tax reports, accountant letter if possible showing current income, photo ID
September 13, 2020 at 07:25
Hi Brit,
Igot a question regarding DV2021, in your video for EU region you have calculated mathematically which number of cases could pass. the question is did you calculated this numbers within 9 month which will be left for us?
Regards,
Fuad
September 13, 2020 at 14:54
I also said there are many factors that are not to do with the math. So wait and see.
September 13, 2020 at 08:48
Dv 2021 interview will be schedule from January instead of October due to ban so there is three month loss in processing will the interview will be taken faster or slower because country with high case number which do processing full year for total selectee now they have to do it in 9 month
So my question is that in 9 month will the embassy work faster or in the normal speed as they did before because if they did in normal speed the higher case number selectee will not get chance to have their interview and the last three month selectee will not get chance to complete their dream. It’s like the black day in their life
September 13, 2020 at 14:59
No one knows what will happen.
September 13, 2020 at 09:07
Good morning sir,
Can’t thank you enough for all that you’ve being doing for us. I’ve one question today.
1. If the DS-260 of a spouse(derivative) was submitted and all supporting documents submitted as well, but because of one reason or the other she can’t make it for the interview, would the principal applicant (husband) alone be permitted to go through the medical exam and attend the interview alone?
Thank you.
September 13, 2020 at 15:02
Yes, but then the derivative would not get the visa.
September 13, 2020 at 11:00
@Emmanuel keep calling them and as well send them email. Plaintiff are only prioritise means they come first and others follow. Been from Liberia am sure they are not or few plaintiff coming from yr country. Keep pushing do all you can within your power you are on your right . Don’t give up is not yet over. Be even grateful because you are not among the BAN COUNTRIES…
September 13, 2020 at 11:02

September 13, 2020 at 20:49

September 13, 2020 at 11:12

September 13, 2020 at 14:44

My case is below 13000. Am i in safe or risk zone.

September 13, 2020 at 17:31
No one in DV2020 is in a safe zone.
September 13, 2020 at 15:08
I appreciate your constant efforts to help DV lottery winners and tried to donate on your site , it didn’t work , gave error message, pls check. thank you
September 13, 2020 at 17:29
Well thanks for the thought at least. I’ll check!
September 13, 2020 at 16:20
Hi Simon,
So I activated my GC in Nov 2019 an Left the US on 13 November 2019. I started applying to jobs etc. and then Covid happened, and I haven’t been back to the US since.
I am not ready to make the move now, specially with the current situation, I don’t want to quit and go there without a job… For the moment, I think i will stay in my homecountry (Belgium). But I am also not ready to give up on the GC… that’s why I am planning to do a trip next month so I don’t stay outside of the US for more than a year and abandon my PR status.
1- Do you think I will have issues at the borders ?
2- Any airports to avoid where the officers are more annoying than others ? or airports known to be more chill ? (I remember on my activation trip, I went through LAX and there it’s all automated, I saw GC holders scanning their cards in the machines and go through and no one talked to them).
Thank you for any tips!
Kassem
September 13, 2020 at 17:25
1. No
2. Mostly they are pretty chilled. Miami is probably the worst.
September 13, 2020 at 16:44
Hi Simon,
I am requesting a new passport since I saw this should be valid for 6months beyond the entry (my current passport expires April 2021) and the entry is expected in March 2021. How should I proceed when I have the interview? should I bring both passports? should I change the DS-260 too?
Thanks in advance,
September 13, 2020 at 17:24
Just take both passports to the interview.
September 13, 2020 at 17:56
Dear Brit,
Hope you are safe and healthy,
I am from Sudan, which is one of the banned countries. My interview was scheduled for 3rd of Mar but due to the ban i couldn’t attend the interview, Surprisingly, we received a reschedule interview email from kcc today for 20th of Sep, can you please explain !!!!
one more question, can you please advice on what documents or to be precise forms (e.g. public charge, affidavit) should i bring to the interview.
September 13, 2020 at 18:24
Hi Brit,
You’ve probably mentioned that earlier in your videos, but it escaped from my attention..
Would you tell me where you reside in the US? Isn’t it north Cal? There is lovely scenery in your backyard.
And squirrels are so nice 🙂
September 13, 2020 at 19:13
I live in the San Francisco Bay area. It’s beautiful here – but smoky at the moment due to the California fires.
September 13, 2020 at 19:13
Hi, Sir I was send my DS 260 for 2021 on July this year and confirmation email received but I was not attaching photos. I think Obtain photos means after KCC Documents mail time to send . Sir what can i do now.. Can i attached now.
September 13, 2020 at 19:21
You do not attach photos to the DS260
September 13, 2020 at 19:28

September 13, 2020 at 21:23
Ivory Coast started calling on Thursday . The same with Senegal…the same Thursday 10th
September 13, 2020 at 21:50
Hello @d’or. Are you from Ivory Coast? I contacted the embassy and KCC but did not get a response. I am from group 4
September 14, 2020 at 01:51
If you can help us with the actual notice from the USA embassy in these two countries we’ll be very grateful to you.
Thanks.
September 13, 2020 at 21:45
Sawadee dear Brit
A question from Thailand, about documents, at the interview we need to bring the exact same documents that we sent to kcc or can we take more recent ones?
Like for exemple I sent to kcc a birth certificate from last august, do I need to have this one or a recent one is good?
Thank you
September 14, 2020 at 04:42
Take more recent if that is the normal procedure, but also take the old versions.
September 13, 2020 at 22:55
Hi Brit ,Kindly be informed that i am Egyptian, won the DV-2021, filled the DS-260 two months ago.
I was initially preparing to get married this summer to an Egyptian woman and we postponed the process because of the Covid-19.
I want to know what is the best course of action and the most truthful path to get married without interrupting the processing of my green card and land smoothly with my wife in the USA with conventional legal status for both of us to start a new life.
My Fiance is divorced 3 years ago and she has a daughter who will stay here in Egypt with her father.
Waiting for your reply
September 14, 2020 at 04:40
Marriage is a normal part of life, and does not risk the case if the marriage is genuine. Get married early, and change the DS260s asap. Read the FAQ.
September 14, 2020 at 02:47
My daughter was 20 years when I applied in November last year. She became 21 in December 2019. I included her in the lottery and now I am filling the ds 260 with her information. Will it be an issue?
September 14, 2020 at 04:34
She has aged out and cannot get a visa with you.
September 14, 2020 at 03:31
Hi Simon
I apologise if this has been answered, I cannot find the information I am looking for.
How do they assign Case numbers every month? I noticed in the visa bulletin for Feb 2020 that OC1350 was current.
However looking back at Feb 2019 the visa bulletin was only OC450.
Why such a huge discrepancy over the years? Anyway to calculate a prediction for 2021?
thanks
September 14, 2020 at 04:33
It’s a calculation of capacity, how many “ready” cases there are and backlog. Best not to stress about it too much. Just be patient. What is your case number?
September 14, 2020 at 14:34
1400OC is my case number.
I noticed this would be current in the MONTH OF March for DV2020, but not until July in the DV2019 (when all CN become current).
September 14, 2020 at 15:08
Yeah, July is a rough approximation for that number in 2021. THe region is unlikely to go current – but your number should be OK.
September 14, 2020 at 04:45
Helloo ..Brit ..
1) Will the sponsor only for the applicant..?
2 ) If the sponsor gave to others their sponsor ( a DV winner or others ) , is this make problems for me ?
September 14, 2020 at 04:56
@Sadu I personally got a call from embassy of Abidjan asking me to do my medicals urgently and that was on Thursday 10th. At first I sent couple of emails and called . They never replied any of my email and told me boldly on call that they are not informed of anything and that they are still not processing DV cases. The same thing happened in Senegal am in a forum where someone said exactly what I explained. In senegal they have already programmed for interview date…
September 14, 2020 at 06:09
@Golden ….. Waooooohhhh this is great news. Am really happy for you. May God continue to intervene until your visa is released. Am in grp 4. I have written tones of messages, no reply. I think am gonna call them also. My Cn is AF2020484. I didn’t have the means to join a lawsuit with fees.
September 14, 2020 at 05:01
Hi Saraissa ! Yes am from Ivory Coast. Please call the KCC . Presently because of the reduced employee due to Covid 19 they don’t have time to read tonnes of emails. Call the is preferable ask them politely the state of yr cas and if possible to transfer to the embassy…
September 14, 2020 at 05:24
Good day Simon,
The police cert in the country I am staying in generally expires in 3 months, not 12, and I have received email requesting supporting documents. What should I do if I submit it and it gets expired before the interview? Considering my interview won’t be in 3 months time from now?
2021AS38XX
September 14, 2020 at 05:26
The consulate will accept a police cert up to 12 months old.
September 14, 2020 at 06:18
Kindly those who were rescheduled and have done the interviews update us.wr praying for u dv 20.
September 14, 2020 at 06:32
Thank you BIH… Amen to your prayer.I kept on pushing as Brit also said. Call KCC. And Brit has been sharing the AILA link for those that want to join as plaintiff is free no fees is demanded. Please do call and join the plaintiff as early as possible
September 14, 2020 at 09:06
Thank you Golden. I registered as a plaintiff with the AILA lawsuit but unfortunately i was not among the 7 representatives of the AILA lawsuit. Please, kindly share with me the link. Thanks.
September 14, 2020 at 06:52
@Emma I will as soon as mine is done?
September 14, 2020 at 07:29
Dear MR. Brit, I am with DV 2020 case (canceled appointment)
I have got three basic questions sot that you can help me out:
1. The Embassy in Addiss Ababa, Ethiopia hasn’t replied to my email that I wrote them to reschedule my appointment.
2. If I got rescheduled, should I have to get a new police cert. because it will be expired on 15 October, 20230?
3. If I got rescheduled, since the medical center I did previously is no longer approved to work withe the US embassy and making a new medical in other medical center can take time, can I the principal applicant and my three derivatives give the medical after the interview or change the previous medical result time by the previous medical center?
Thank you your help in advance
September 14, 2020 at 14:20
1. Keep trying. Make sure your emails mention emergency appointment/mission critical.
2. No
3. Yes, but the medical must be with the embassy in time for them to issue the visa by September 30th, so you have very little time.
September 14, 2020 at 07:29

September 14, 2020 at 08:05

September 14, 2020 at 08:16
Good morning MR. Brit
I’m a winner for Dv2021 but in

My name are two times
1: Principal Applicants
2: spouse
I tried to fixed but instead it worst now
Add my wife
3:Spouse
What I can do?
Thanks and have a nice day
September 14, 2020 at 14:22
You are not being clear, but you cannot delete a DS260 once created – so you simply don’t submit any DS260 created by mistake.
September 14, 2020 at 22:54
thank you, and sorry for my terrible english
September 14, 2020 at 08:47
Hello Brit. I applied to dv lottery with my civil passport, but not with travel passport. Will I be disqualified?
September 14, 2020 at 14:25
I don’t know
September 14, 2020 at 09:37
Pls the link to AILA new lawsuit
September 14, 2020 at 10:51
Hello Brit
My husband won the DV2020 and we already had our interview at the Embassy. All went well. The Consular even canceled the tourist visa in order to stamp the immigration visa.Till now our case is still under AP and we dont know why. We thought that maybe due to covid19 pandemic and the ban, but when we knew about the ruling of judge Mehta, we sent many emails but we only reveived automatic replies. No one answers the emails. My husband even went to the Embassy today to talk to the current consular but they refused to see him. We know time is running. Do you have any suggestion or any advice for us?
September 14, 2020 at 14:30
You have to contact the embassy – and ask them to handle the case as mission critical. I have published a number of articles explaining that over the last few days.
September 14, 2020 at 11:40
Hello Brit,
We need your advice very much. My friend seems won the lottery. But he can’t get his confirmation number. Is it possible to get it through KCC?
Thank you.
September 14, 2020 at 14:44
No. through the DV lottery page.
https://dvlottery.state.gov/esc
September 14, 2020 at 15:05
Other people entered my details. And now they don’t want me give my information.
September 14, 2020 at 11:52
Hi Brit, I just spoke to KCC and informed what i am waiting for my 2NL. I know the order from state department to prioritize and the first priority will be Gomez v Trump. As what i know its only 7 Plantiff . for Gomez v trump. But KCC now informed me that its 200 plantiff for Gomez v trump and they will schedule first this 200 plantiff for Gomez v trump and then see the rest.
i am confused
Again my question is the same its 7 Plantiff in gomez v trump or 200 as KCC is saying.
When i mentioned other lawsuits then KCC replyed me that this 200 is only for Gomez not other lawsuits.
Waiting for your reply.
September 14, 2020 at 14:53
The lawsuits are formally combined and all represented under the Gomez case.
September 14, 2020 at 12:07
Hi Simon,
I already arranged an interview next week with the embassy but I am expecting a baby this week, the embassy informed me that baby cannot take the green card if the delivery before stamping the visa, now I am so confused what shall I do, any suggest please
DV2020AS
September 14, 2020 at 14:55
Obviously they cannot issue a visa to an unborn child. Read the FAQ about adding a newborn.
September 14, 2020 at 12:46
Dear sir,
Is it okay to bring DS260 confirmation page, photo id as photocopies? Or is it need to be in color?
September 14, 2020 at 14:55
Photocopies are OK – photos should be full color originals.
September 14, 2020 at 14:58
Is it means do i need to print sponsor driving license and passport in color? I had it with black. Im having interview tomorrow sir.
September 14, 2020 at 15:05
For the sponsor that should be OK
September 14, 2020 at 13:06
Hi Brit, I’m yet to receive the confirmation of documents email. I called KCC and the lady said they’re working on priority cases only. What can I do now? AF63XXX
September 14, 2020 at 14:57
So you are group 5. All you can do is hope for an extension.
September 14, 2020 at 13:25
While DV2020 is running short of time, KCC started sending confirmation mails to DV2021. That’s the justice we were waiting for 1 year?
September 14, 2020 at 14:58
The DV2021 process and even DV2022 process will continue, just as DV2020 did. That is the process you entered.
September 14, 2020 at 15:16
Hi Brit, please it is possible to know if I’m one of the 7 cases in the selection of Trump vs Gomez? I now hear it’s 200 cases on priority. Thank you.
September 14, 2020 at 14:28
Hi sir
I’m DV 2020 winner from Azerbaijan. My case number is about 25k. I’ve received confirmation of my documents. But they haven’t scheduled me interview appointment. I asked KCC about that, but they didn’t respond. Citizens of Azerbaijan can only be interviewed at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi to obtain a visa. The borders between Azerbaijan and Georgia are closed due to Covid-19. We are also required 14 days quarantine and an official permission from Georgian government by the U.S embassy in Georgia before an interview. My question is that: does it help if I pay lawyer Curtis to be a plaintiff? Will they solve all border problems for me?
Thanks in advance
September 14, 2020 at 15:10
No they cannot solve the border problems for you.
September 14, 2020 at 14:38
Hello, I have been selected for DV lottery 2021. From Afghanistan and resident of the US. My code is around 2021AS25000. I have few questions:
1. When do you think I can expect the interview (assuming things stabilize with Covid)? I will be going through consular processing, not adjustment of status.
2. If I have applied for asylum before, will that impact my application? I never worked illegally or stayed without authorization.
3. I filled out my DS260 form and have almost all civil documents collected. Should I do anything else, or now I just wait until KCC reviews my file and schedule an interview?
September 14, 2020 at 15:07
1. If they get to that number, it could be 10 to 12 months from now.
2. No problem.
3. Wait.
September 14, 2020 at 15:10
you said in your video that Nepal will take first of of an apple. Would you mind to say in what sense? Did you mean all the selectees will get chance or Nepal will fill all the quotas?
thank you brit!
September 14, 2020 at 15:15
I explained very carefully in the video – please watch it again.
September 14, 2020 at 15:34
My greetings sir Simon ! Thankyou for your hardwork and support ! God blessyou !
I am in your group 2 . Ap 221 g
Fighting with the albanian embassy twice a day . I just got automatic reply .
Is it helpful if i email to KCC because i am in AP since february for no reason.and this is totally unfair .
What do you suggest master because i am afraid of losing even this second chance that You and lawyers team brought to us. God bless you sir !
September 14, 2020 at 16:38
KCC can’t help. Keep working with the embassy. Be firm but polite.
September 14, 2020 at 15:38
Hi Brit , I am Group 3 ,I had gotten email from kcc that was May Appointment Cancelled for covid19 .as you suggest I email my Consulate and kcc for emergency …I only get a feedback from the Consulate saying they don’t have my case in there system for them to schedule my appointment.if they get it they will schedule an interview appointment for me.
At my Consulate in Johannesburg they don’t have plaintiffs case but why kcc doesn’t not respond to our email? I sent them emails only automatic reply ,from September 5,for my first email untill today for my last e-mail .what do you suggest me?
September 14, 2020 at 16:37
Something doesn’t make sense. You have the 2NL for your original appointment. If the embassy say they can’t find your case – send them the 2NL. You need the embassy, not KCC to sort this out.
September 14, 2020 at 16:26
Hello Brit
Greetings. My interview was scheduled in March and was cancelled because of COVID 19 and later the ban. I received a mail on 10th September 2020 that I should come for interview on Monday 14th September 2020. I redid my medical on Saturday 12th September 2020 and was given a slit envelope to take it to the embassy. On Monday after the interview, the CO gave me a pink paper and told me to go bring the medical and a court document in my country it is call “Non Conviction” it a document to testify if I have ever been to prison or not. NO – you are not safe until the visa is in your hands.

Hi Simon,
I have maintained a good credit score in the U.S since my first visa 6 years ago. Does this help when it comes to public charge? I am outside the U.S now. Do I take any proof of this score to interview or would it come up in background checks?
Thanks!
B
