Hello Sir, in 2014 I applied for student visa for summer work in US, I included a CV with one summer job, I was a student back than. Now at DS 260 at work experience I don’t want do include that summer job because I don’t have any contact and information about that job. Is it a mistake do they have access in those information back than or it’s not relevant? I will qualify based on education if it does make any difference.

You should certainly list that job and visa.

Hello , simon
I faced one issue while participating in the dv lottery , my last name includes apostrophe between letters , for example: AโBCD . So I couldnโt submit my entry. What to do !
Thanks

Either join the letters or swap the apostrophe for a single space.

My best friend got selected for dv2021 this year (Albania) He is #226xx. Where is KVCC with the DL2 at this point? Hes concerned that he has not received DnL2 yet.
Also, when he completed his DS260, he used a new email address (where he got the confirmation after completion), because couldnโt get access to the initial email address he used when he applied last year. Does he need to notify KVCC separately for the email change, or would putting the new email on his DS 260 covers that?
Thank you in advance, and thank you for the help you provide to people around the world.
November 3, 2020 at 7:34 pm
He needs to learn some patience.
The email on the DS260 will be used.

hello! i’ve submitted my ds260 form in june of 2020. 3 days after i found out i was selected for further processing. i havent heard anything yet or received my 2nl. however, i started to get worried thinking that along with my ds260 form, i was meant to submit my documents to the kcc. i read that i would only need to fill and submit my ds260 form and bring those documents to the embassy appointment. but then i read kcc would need to process these documents in order to give me a date. so im unsure of whether i need to send in documents to kcc in order to receive an embassy date. please let me know. id really appreciate it

Hi Simon, first of all thank you for all your amazing advices. I live in Cuba and unfortunately we don’t have any US embassy or consulate, so my interview will be appointed at another country, in this case Guyana. All my documents (birth certificate etc.) are in Spanish, but Guyana official language is English. Do I have to bring a certified translation my documents to my interview in Guyana or is it ok if my documents are all in Spanish? Thank you.
January 20, 2021 at 5:10 pm
You will need translations.

I only answer questions via email if it is absolutely necessary to remain private. So you can email me on britsimon3 at gmail, but only expect an answer if the question could not have been asked publicly.

Hi Brit,
I have one question for you. I am a winner of the DV2021 and when I was filling the dv form, I mistakenly used passport number of the expired one, while I had and used the valid passport dates. Does this disqualify me from the visa?
February 4, 2021 at 3:32 pm
I don’t know for sure how they will handle such a case.
February 5, 2021 at 7:36 pm

February 5, 2021 at 8:11 pm
Mr biden really disappointed us never you trust any one who want to stand for any election.all his promise he make from day 1. He will remove the travel ban .my visa will expire by march 14th and the ban will end of 31th march.if i need to renew the visa again meaning i will need to do the medical again for the third time and pay another visa fee again O my God have mercy on me
February 16, 2021 at 3:24 pm
May God bless you and have mercy on you. You are lucky to have won the lottery and got visa issued out of 19 million applicants. But unfortunately we are fighting this Chinese Virus and many people across the world in general and US in particular have jobs and loved ones. As President of the United States, his priority is to protect US citizens and residents from this pandemic, and other terrorist attacks. So don’t worry, your health and wellness is top priority than travel ban.
Good luck and God bless you

February 18, 2021 at 4:17 pm
Dear Simon,
I have been recently requested by KCC to submit supporting documents for my DV application. I have submitted all the required documents via email. After reviewing my documents, KCC has informed me that they are additional documents that I have to submit to them in order to further process my application. From their email, however, it was not clear to me the kinds of documents they are looking for. I have contacted them but they did not get back to me yet.
I have submitted copies of passport, police report (from current country of residence) birth and marriage certificates. When I read again the list of required documents, it seems to me that I have to submit a police report from all the countries I have ever lived for over 12 months after the age of 16. In other words, do I have to submit additional police report from my country of nationality where I lived over 10 years after the age of 16? Is that correct?
Your response is always greatly appreciated!
Mame
