I am concerned about the remaining weeks in DV2019. If you are already interviewed, or scheduled for interview, there is no need to be worried, but my impression is that there are still a lot of cases that want interviews that are not scheduled. I want to make sure that at least my readers know what to do in the coming weeks, and I don’t want to have to repeat this 1000 times to each question. This article ONLY refers to DV2019, it does NOT affect DV2020 selectees at all. If you are DV2019, please read this article to the end, and read it twice or three times if you don’t understand. It should cover every scenario and every question you could have. I really hope so…
First, I want to apologize to the staff at KCC if this post increases your call volume – but this is too important an opportunity to miss for most people, so I am being cautious on their behalf.
This is a busy time at KCC. They have started receiving DV2020 cases and calls, and the regions just went current. I have described a “flood” of work they are dealing with, and there is a certain amount of chaos going on due to the new document procedure.
Some 2NLs have already gone out for July, and more will go out before this month ends. Those interviews will be being arranged already. Calling them will not make KCC arrange an interview that wasn’t already being arranged. So – if KCC have your DS260, and you are certain they have processed your documents prior to the beginning of May (approximately), then there is no need to call KCC.
You can be sure that KCC have your documents if you have received an email that says something like “Records indicate You have submitted a complete and valid DS260 for each family member, and You have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center.” We can call this the ready for scheduling email. If you got that email prior to May, you will expect your 2NL later this month (if you don’t already have it). There is a chance your embassy is too full for July, so some cases will be moved to August. That’s OK. No need to panic if you got that ready for scheduling email.
For other scenarios. Maybe you have not submitted yiour DS260 or documents, maybe you submitted your documents but have not received the ready for scheduling email. In those cases, read on.
If you have never submitted your DS260, you might still be able to do that and get an interview this year, but you need to do that in the next few days. You would then have to submit documents later, and all of that must happen by the end of June at the latest.
If you have never submitted documents to KCC, you must do that now. They may not have asked you to do so yet, but in any case you must send them. The instructions for sending the documents are in this article. Make sure you send the documents needed, just those documents listed, and in the format they describe. The instructions are very clear, no need to ask me anything if you simply read the instructions. Make sure you send it to the correct email address and your case number is shown as they instruct.
If you have submitted documents, even months ago, but have never got the ready for scheduling email, then you should email KCC with your case number and ask them if they are satisfied with your documents. I do not think the ready for scheduling email is strictly necessary as a part of the process, BUT I don’t want you to sit there and wait thinking things are OK when in fact they are not. By the way, you may have received the auto reply when you submitted. That in itself does NOT mean your documents were OK. It is simply an automatic response from a computer when you send an email. When you email them asking if they are satisfied with the documents KCC will respond within a few days, either with the ready for scheduling email OR with an email that says something like your DS260 is processing, or documents are required. If they say anything like that, send your documents again, and then wait a week at least and then ask them again if they are satisfied.
I am aware of cases where the DS260 was submitted many months ago but KCC respond that they are still processing the DS260. That is simply a “go away and stop bothering me” email. Parents will know what I mean. It is simply a way to stop you pestering them. DS260s do not take months to process. I don’t want any of you to waste KCC time with unnecessary questions, because we need KCC to spend their time doing their work on scheduling cases, rather than answering your sillier questions because you are not using common sense. However, I also want to make sure none of you miss out. Well almost none of you. A couple of you have worn out even my patience…
Just a point about timing. If you are not already ready for scheduling you will not get a June or July interview. June interviews are all set. July interviews are already allocated to cases that were ready for interview a couple of weeks ago. Some cases that were ready for interview a couple of weeks ago will NOT get July interviews because of individual embassy capacity. Those will get August interviews. But if you only sent documents in the last couple of weeks, you can be sure you will not get a June or July interview. August at the earliest.
KCC will then be scheduling August interviews on as many cases as possible based on cases ready for scheduling by the end of this month or very early next month. Again, individual embassy capacity could result in some cases moving into September.
The final interviews will be in September. Those will be for cases that are ready for scheduling within about 6 weeks from now. That means you ONLY have that window of time to get documents to KCC if they don’t already have satisfactory documents. NOW is the time to be checking they are satisfied with the documents. If you miss that opportunity, you are at risk of not getting an interview at all. NO DV2019 CASE can be interviewed or approved after September 30, 2019. So – please be sure there is no misunderstanding between you and KCC about your documents.
Best of luck to all my readers.

The energy you put into making sure people don’t miss this opportunity is extraordinary.
Am a living testimony of your selflessness

hi brit i got confirmation from kcc that my documents are OK on april 19th, i’m still waiting for my 2nl. CN AF21XXX Benin ,Do I have to worry?
May 18, 2019 at 15:13
Yes. Your main problem is that you read the whole article above and missed the simple point. You should worry about your reading skills.

May 18, 2019 at 14:51
Hi, Brit. I read the article but there is a little misunderstanding for me. You say that if ds260 was submitted a long time ago and no response so far, it is reason to worry. Does it applies only to those who’s case number has been scheduled for Visa Bulletin? I mean my CN is EU291xx and i have submitted ds260 in june and got only autoreply. But last visa bullerin was up to number 26800 so should i worry or not? BTW i mailed KCC as you advised about doc scans and they sent answer that all the docs are processed according to number raises so don’t worry and wait. What about should i be worried and that steps shoukd i take to decrease risk of missing chance to be scheduled for interview? Thank you, sir!
May 18, 2019 at 15:01
Plase re-read it. Are you ready for scheduling or not. Simple.
May 18, 2019 at 15:07

May 18, 2019 at 15:35
Are you sure that you sent them to the correct email address (kccdvdocuments [at] state [dot] gov)? I sent mine on Monday and got the “ready for scheduling” response on Wednesday.
May 18, 2019 at 16:18

May 19, 2019 at 09:44

May 18, 2019 at 15:45
Well, they said to me that DS was not processed eu30xxx but that they have my documents. I suppose I don’t need to ask them if they are satisfied with my documents if they already said they have them? Should I wait for a confirmation that the documents are ok and DS Is processed or still send them mail to ask them if they are satisfied with the documents?
May 18, 2019 at 16:01
Wait until they are done with the July interviews. Then ask. Early next month.
May 18, 2019 at 15:49

May 18, 2019 at 16:45
Hi Brit,
Thanks first of all for always bringing us to speed with what’s happening.
CN: 2019AF46XXX
This is a little lengthy considering the number of persons you have to respond to and your own private schedule but please, I need your input and advice.
I submitted my ds260 in June last year and submitted my documents about a month ago. I wrote to KCC in a forth night after sending my documents to confirm if they were satisfied and this is the response I got:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Once the Kentucky Consular Center has finished processing your DS-260, you will receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
In order to continue processing your case, you must submit electronic copies of the required documents in .jpeg or.pdf format as attachments to [email protected]. Use your case number as the subject of the email. The maximum email size is 30MB. If the total size of your attachments is larger than 30MB, send multiple emails using your case number as the subject of each email. Please send your documents for KCC review only after you have collected all of the required documents for yourself and all accompanying family members. Send documents only to the [email protected] email address; for any document processing questions use the [email protected] email address.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.

Hi Brit you are doing a very wonderful job for many people. God bless you.
A friend submitted his DS260 and the Further Document two week ago but realized that he will be very tight on July so he unlocked the DS260 so that he will not be scheduled an interview on July My question is can he get scheduled when he has not resend his DS260?.
May 18, 2019 at 19:12
Maybe. It depends how far they got with his DS260 before he unlocked it.
May 18, 2019 at 21:46
Thanks very much Brit
May 18, 2019 at 17:33
Hello brit. Seriously you are doing a great job. But am a little bit worried. Please dont be angry. I emailed kcc some days ago to know if they were satisfied with my documents and they replied me yesterday with this message “After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Once the Kentucky Consular Center has finished processing your DS-260, you will receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.” After reading your post above, I resubmitted my documents today. (I had first submitted docs on april 29th). I entered my information (name, case number and date of birth) before sending the attachment (of course I used my full case number as subject). Dear Brit please I never of you to understand me and please help me answer my worries
1. The email i received from Kcc (above) please what is your impression about the message?
2. Did I do well to resubmit the documents today? (First submitted on april 29th)
3. Putting my information before sending the attachment was it a good procedure?
I am AF00046xxx.
Thanks in advance
May 18, 2019 at 19:13
1. It’s not the ready for scheduling message is it.
2. Yes
3. I don’t know what that means. Just follow instructions.
May 18, 2019 at 20:16
hello brit ,sorry for having disturb to you,
i have a little inquiry if for exemple i received the READY SCHEDULING at earlier may 6 ,if i can expect my interview in july?
thanks you
May 18, 2019 at 21:21
The day of cutoff is not precise and can vary – so – wait and see.
May 18, 2019 at 21:33
thanks you for your quick response
May 19, 2019 at 07:04
Thanks Brit. What i mean is when submitting my documents this is the procedure i used
Subject:case number
Body of the message I entered my name, case number and date of birth.
Then i put the attachments(passport, birth certificate and police certificate).
Please I wish to know if that was a good procedure?

May 18, 2019 at 19:41
Hi,
I’m Sri lankan (11××× ) & nice to be here.
Is anyone from Sri Lanka who has sent electronic documents to kcc ?
Do we have to send them with together with Verification of e-DAS (Electronic Documents Attestation Systems) obtained at foreign ministry consular office.
Or just
Passport bio page
Bith certificate (Originals/Sinhala & Translation)
Police clearance certificate
If so then
is that e-DAS is only for at the time of interview?
May 18, 2019 at 20:09
Please read and follow the instructions.
May 19, 2019 at 02:08
As Britsimon says follow the instructions, I submitted my documents on 12th April and they have completed the process on 15th April. Just only follow instructions.
May 19, 2019 at 13:11
Hi Roshan,
We dont need e-DAS certified documents for Diversity Visas.
Please feel free to Join FB Group DV Lottery 2019 Winners – Sri Lanka Facebook Group.
May 19, 2019 at 13:16
Hello please contact me I am also a Sri Lankan case ID 115xx [email protected]
May 19, 2019 at 15:50
If you can pls share your thoughts.

Sir,
I submitted my ds form on july and sent the documents at the end of march. My case is above 28k.Yesterday i called KCC they told that we received your documents but they are proccessing when it is proccessed you receive confirmation. Is it okay situation?or send the documents again?
May 18, 2019 at 21:21
That was yesterday. Obviously you should wait some time and check again.
May 18, 2019 at 21:40
Why you noticed it was yesterday? What is happening today? What changes?
May 18, 2019 at 23:33
Come on Turan, use some common sense. I am saying you don’t need to do anything more until some time has passed.
May 18, 2019 at 22:22
Hi! I called several times the KCC and the different operators have been telling me the same standard respons, that my docs have been received and the CN has being processed and not finished yet.
Many other time i sent emails to the KCC asking if there is something wrong with my docs or do i have to sent them again or simply for how long do i have tl wait por the scheduling process. All i got was Autoreply to each of my mails. What so you suggest me to do eccept sending the mail asking if they are satisfied with the docs?
I’d appreciate your suggestion very much!
May 18, 2019 at 23:37
If emails are not working, call them.
May 18, 2019 at 22:25
Ciao Simon .Why do you think that KCC will respond with another email ,when we ask they are Happy with the documents? In very post i see KCC is only answered with automatic emails.I belive this will not change.
May 18, 2019 at 23:38
Because every email you see is NOT auto emails. Do you think I just make things up???
May 18, 2019 at 23:52
Hi Brit,
2019AF44xxxx
I sent my DS260 on March 3rd (still no notice of receipt) , then I sent my document, as you recommended to all of us , on May 1st even if I have did not receive a notification from KCC to do so.(however, I received notification of receipt). Then I called couple times KCC to check if they have received my ds260 and my documents and if they are satisfied with them… the response was that my ds 260 and my documents were received and still processing with no further details. What else should I do? Thank you!
May 19, 2019 at 00:11
You will have to wait and ask again in a couple of weeks.
May 19, 2019 at 01:30
Hello Brit, thanks for the wonderful info you have been feeding us with, it has really been helpful. My case number is 2019AF17XXX, I submitted my ds260 from Cameroon August 2018, I received an email asking me to submit documents in November, that they have completed working on my ds260. I submitted documents Dec 2018, received just an auto email, I contacted kcc on April 18th was tito to resubmit which I did on the 19th, I got the ok email on the 23rd of April, was happy with it, hoping I will receive my 2nl this time around but I haven’t, my status still shows at NVC, do I have hope of still getting a julJ interview sir?
May 19, 2019 at 03:27
Maybe. Patience.
May 19, 2019 at 03:41
One of my friends who applied through USCIS for Adjustment of Status got his denial immediately after his horrible interview on May 13th due to submitting his I-485 early in advance notification.
May 19, 2019 at 04:20
So he applied too early???? That was daft.
May 19, 2019 at 04:41
No, he didn’t apply too early. He applied according to Policy Memorandum of USCIS.
The timeline for his case is as follows:
Case number: 2019AS000067XX
Application received at Chicago Lockbox: March 18, 2019
Interview notice: َApril 11, 2019
Interview date: May 13
Denial date: May 13
May 19, 2019 at 04:48
So assuming he is not charging to Nepal, why would he sit in an interview and not point out their mistake? Did he not include the policy memo in his file? Something seems wrong…
May 19, 2019 at 05:00
No, he is not from Nepal. He is from a country whose government has been in constant conflict with the US government for many years. He had a very hard 50-minute interview and the officer was questioning the behavior of the government of his country of origin and my friend was so stunned that he didn’t know how to respond the officer’s questions.
The fact is that the officer told him that his case must be further reviewed. After the interview he knew his case has been denied.
May 19, 2019 at 14:22
So he should immediately have contacted the FO and pointed out the mistake. Really – this is straightforward, but if he doesn’t resolve it quickly he will need to refile.
May 19, 2019 at 05:09
Hello Brit I am AF38 please I need you to help me…I sent my documents to KCC in February and received the *READY FOR SCHEDULING EMAIL* in March..a month later my mom asked me to resend the documents and I did..my worry is that will that activity ruin my chances of being interviewed in July?please am waiting for your reply
May 19, 2019 at 14:26
Wait for the 2NL.
May 19, 2019 at 06:15

On May 3, I sent documents without a request.
May 10, wrote a letter about status of my case.I recieved this answer: “Your DS-260 forms have been received and are currently processing.
On May 16, I wrote again and I recieved this answer. This does not affect the processing of your case.
What does not affect the date of sending my ds 260 or all these my request.
May 19, 2019 at 15:41
They are saying “go away” because you are pestering too much. Wait for a couple of weeks at least before contacting them again.
May 19, 2019 at 17:38
Thanks.I will wait.

May 19, 2019 at 11:00
Hi Simon. Just wondering, do KCC send 2NLs on a daily basis ? or is it like once a week or some specific frequency? (between the 15th and the end of the month). Thanks!
May 19, 2019 at 15:43
Seems like two large batches at the moment. One early (just after the 15th) and one on the final couple of days of the month.
May 19, 2019 at 15:58
Thanks Brit
May 19, 2019 at 16:20

Hi Simon,
Just reading through the answers:
CN AF45XXX received my “ready for scheduling email” on the 17th April……looks like I’ll get my 2NL in the final couple of days of the month. Right?
Just anxious……it’s a mind wobbling wait.???
May 19, 2019 at 19:59
Please consider my time. Do you really need to ask the question? Can I tell you anything more than a guess based on what is already said above?

Hi Brit – Cheers for all the post(s) – I’m a DV2019 winner and I’m waiting on my 2NL – have received the ‘ready for schedule mail’ – but my question is non lottery related … I was in the process of submitting an application for an L1 (A) – we have subsidiaries in the US with bank accounts , property and plan etc. , but currently dormant and only startup capital regularly being contributed. The holding framework was created and we are ready to submit an expedited application – hopefully I will not be requiring that any more … but we made some preempted changes to accommodate other directors to take my place. Do you perhaps have a name of an immigration specialist to give the business plan a once over (not an immigration lawyer we have once on those) . Just re the cosmetic wording of the business plan etc. I have name of an bloke in FL – but he seems to slack in responses/ Obviously this would be an paid exercise and hence we would require some references. If you have name in mind or could help yourself it would be much appreciated. Cheers SwannieS

First of all, I want to thank you for all the information that you shared, in fact, I don’t know what we had to do without you.
I’m a winner in DV 2019 with CN AF 40k and I have been following you blog since 2018, however, I submitted my DS-260 at the end of June 2018, and at the last month I saw your comments where you encourage people to submit their papers even without being asked so I sent my documents at 18th April without being asked and after 10 days I called them to ask if they were satisfied with my documents, so they said me ” we have received your documents but we didn’t check them yet”, and few days later I sent them an email but they replied to me with “Your DS-260 forms have been received and are currently processing.”
I called them again last week and they told me your DS-260 not proceed yet,
So I find my self totally lost, I submitted my DS 260 one year ago and my documents one month ago and when I call them they told you your DS 260 is still processing, plz Brit, you’re the only one who I follows and trusts him, tell me what should to do?
May 19, 2019 at 22:19
You simply have to wait a couple of weeks at least.
May 19, 2019 at 22:43
Thanks for all Brit.. Brit can you call them and ask .?.. You are our only hope … I do not know what I did. I did everything right in the right time and in the right way. How do we have the opportunity to choose for an interview? 1) small 2) great?
May 19, 2019 at 22:53
Wait and see.
May 20, 2019 at 06:15
First of all thank you so much for your work, it has been extremely helpful. My CN is EU30xxx and I have submitted my DS260 in May 2018, and I sent the documents last week (without receiving an email from KCC) when all regions became current. Should I email them now asking about the documents I sent, or wait until the beginning of next month. My understanding, after reading your post and the comments, is that I should wait. Please confirm if my understanding is correct.
May 20, 2019 at 13:21
Call very late this month or very early next month.
May 20, 2019 at 06:18
Hellooo Brit,
Case number 2019AF45XXX.
I will like to first of all thank you for the great job you are doing for us winners.Only God can reward you.please I wish in your usual kind and gentlemanly ways ,you help me with your expertist advice.
First, before July VB came out,I send my documents on April 26 without being ask following your advice and received only an auto reply.I called one week after and was told my ds is still processing and that since my cn is not yet current, they can’t process my documents. Now that the VB for July drives the whole region current,I have called again twice and received the same answer and one of them even said they don’t have documents on my case.I did ask if I could resend the documents, which they said yes.I have resend the docs twice and haven’t received even an auto reply.
1. So,what advice as an expert for me in this situation sir?
Secondly, after my high school,with the high school diploma, I passed an entrance into teachers training school where I was train as a professional to teach in the primary sector. And that is what I filled in my Ds260 as primary occupation(teaching) and what I intend to do in the state,even in all my travel documents. Now after submitting my Ds on October 15 2018,I successfully engage into a Business as another activity. This Business has finally become very interesting and more sustainable than even the teaching job. So, my worry is;
1. I now have a change of mind on the question of the primary occupation and what the applicant intends to do in the state,so I wish to unlock my Ds and modify those two questions to become Business.will it pose problem?
2.Knowing that in all my travel documents my profession there is teacher, will it pose a problem if I modify my Ds to Business as primary activity and what I intend to do in the state.?
Many thanks in advance for your kind responses sir.
May 20, 2019 at 13:25
If you are not getting an auto reply you need to check they have received the new documents.
You don;t need to amend your DS260 with the change of planned occupation, you do whatever you want when you are here.
May 20, 2019 at 16:19
Thanks alot Brit for your kind attention. I was just being worried that may be my sector of teaching job mention in my Ds may not be sustainable enough according to the US system and they may be doubting what I will be doing for sustainability. And that it could be a problem for Kcc processing my documents. Once more thanks alot for your advice. I will simply follow it by calling them to check again.
May 20, 2019 at 07:30
Hi Brit! I have a doubt. I just took a look at the DS260 form. My husband is the Principal Aplicant, but in the form he put my old surname. We did the celebration of the weding right after we knew he were the winner of the dv lottery,so i took his surname.
So he put my the spouse full name with my old surname.
Does this disqualify us from the process?
I wanna note that the KCC told me several times that the docs are being processed. For more, an operator told me one time, that they are verifying the marriage we did.
Could this be true?
Awaiting for your answer.
May 20, 2019 at 13:32
The name doesn’t matter too much in that scenario. The marriage itself is important.
May 20, 2019 at 14:16
Thank you very much!
By the way today i got the scheduling mail. What do you think ,do i have to unlock the ds260 to correct the surname before the intervew or its ok anyways ?
May 20, 2019 at 14:19
Did I say unlock?
May 20, 2019 at 12:16
Hey Brit – I’m pretty sure I’ve read your posts a couple of times now but I can’t seem to find any specific answer to the issue we have – my apologies in advance if I missed it somewhere
We are in the DV2019 – we have submitted our DS260 and have only received confirmation that that has been received – a couple of follow ups with the KCC confirms this but still no message on submitting the supporting docs
We were planning on submitting the docs regardless as per your advice
Here’s the kicker – we are South African and lived here in the last 10 years, but have also lived in Czech Republic before as well as Dubai (UAE) for a few years each
We have police clearance certificates for South Africa – but we are now concerned that we may need for the other countries as well – initial research indicates that these docs could take up to 3 months to get from the respective embassies in South Africa
Does that mean we are effectively disqualified? There’s maybe a chance we can get these docs by the time of an interview in September – but no way we can have it within the 6 weeks window that you mentioned in your last post
Any advice would be greatly appeciated
May 20, 2019 at 14:12
Submit documents with what you have. It may be enough to get scheduled. THen make sure you have the other documents at the interview. You need to read the instructions to follow the police cert procedure in each country.
May 29, 2019 at 18:47
Hi Brit – we are AF39XXX by the way – in response to your reply above:
Checked all police certificate procedures and we have to get from 4 countries we lived in (UK, UAE, Czech Republic and South Africa) – quite a process to get all of these however we will have all 4 certificates in our hands by the 13th of June
I would really prefer to send our docs 100% complete – my assumption being that if they are 100% my chances of getting an interview is better than KCC missing docs and then asking for it (or me having to chase them to confirm this)
In the end its our call I understand – but I would really welcome your thoughts on this
Do we submit the docs we have right now – adding a letter explaining that we are awaiting only the 4 police certificates? and then send them later?
OR
Should we wait till the 13th and send a complete pack of docs – holding thumbs that that will still give us enough time to get into the final cohort of interviews in Sept
Thanks in advance
Heini
May 29, 2019 at 20:45
My earlier reply (9 days ago) was intended to give you a chance of getting an interview in August. You blew that chance by not following my instruction. So now you can submit in June, and will hopefully get a September interview.
May 20, 2019 at 14:05
Thank you. I received a request. AND I have a question. I did not serve in the army, but as a doctor when I graduated the university I received a military card.In Ds 260, I wrote that I did not serve in the army. Now, when sending scans, I have to send a scan of a military card. When I wrote in DS 260 that I didn’t serve.

Use your own judgement.

Did you get confirmation mail today?
May 20, 2019 at 20:17
Hi Brit,
I have a question about DS260. I completed the form in June of last year and I answered the I’ve been to the US twice before. In september I visited the Us again. Do you think I should unlock the form and change my initial answer? My case number is EU28XXX. Many thanks for everything you do
May 20, 2019 at 20:23
No need.
May 20, 2019 at 20:41
Sir,
Is it 100% that people can get interview for July only if they got confirmation mail in the early of May or at the end of April?
May 20, 2019 at 20:46
No.
May 21, 2019 at 21:25
@Turan,
I think, more likely, if you got a confirmation in the last days of April or early days of May, you WON’T be schedule for July. A bunch of people from EU region, with CN higher than EU27K already reported, that they got “wait for schedule interview letter” in April, then they called to KCC and KCC told them, that there is no space for them in July. I’m one of those people. So, we have to wait and see.
By the way, what is your country?
May 21, 2019 at 06:57

May 21, 2019 at 20:34
hi brit i told you the previous comment today i send all documents 2 times by d/t emails and i asked To inquire satisfied with my documents kcc answered me now
Collect and submit your documents promptly. Your case will not be scheduled for a visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate until KCC has received and processed all required documents. Missing or illegible documents will delay processing of your case. If you cannot obtain a particular document, send a scanned or photographed explanation of why you cannot obtain the document, as an attachment, to [email protected], with your case number in the subject line. Diversity visas are numerically limited and there is no guarantee a visa will be available. Only a consular officer can determine, at the time of the visa interview, if you are qualified to receive a Diversity Visa.

May 21, 2019 at 14:12
They are simply delaying cases that cannot “fit” into July interviews.
May 21, 2019 at 14:05
No – it is getting late. Hence the article.
May 21, 2019 at 14:19
Hi Simon and everyone, no questions here, this is just for your information, as I’ve read several people with similar situation to mine.
So I am “ready to be scheduled” (email received on 02 May when they confirmed they are satisfied with the docs).
I called KCC today to check if I will be scheduled for a July interview or not. Operator said that I as am not scheduled yet, she can’t give me an asnwer, however, it does NOT look like it will be in July. I have no idea how she knew that, but anyway. I’ll wait and see.
May 21, 2019 at 18:53
The same situation with me.
May 21, 2019 at 16:46
Hi Brit. Thanks for your work!
We have a complicated case. DS-260 was sent, i received email with the list of documents, we’ll be able to provide them early next month.
But my wife has to change her passport (change of last name), it is now in process.
So what should we do first: request changes in DS-260 (new last name and passport number) or send documents to KCC with new last name on them before making changes?
Maybe we can make changes to DS-260 in embassy on interview?
Thanks again
May 21, 2019 at 17:50
You can change at the interview if needed. Don’t delay any longer than is necessary.
May 21, 2019 at 16:58
Hi
I helped my friend and submitted his documents about a week ago but yesterday in the morning, KCC sent him a message requesting the documents listed on britsimonsays + their marriage certificate. A few hours after receiving the request from KCC, I submitted the documents and KCC has just messaged them saying that their case is ready to be scheduled for interview.
