This is for June 2019 interviews.
OK, so as discussed previously, we are now seeing fast VB pace. As I explained, the cases that have not submitted their documents cannot be scheduled, and since it seems KCC are sticking to the plan (no documents, no interview), they need to increase the VB fast to yield enough cases that can be scheduled. I would not be surprised to see around half or more of the interviews go to backlog cases, and I think there will continue to be cases not scheduled for interview where they should be. That will be an aspect of busier embassies, that simply don’t have a lot of spare capacity.
I am concerned at the low number of visas issued thus far. This will mean interviews being scarce in later months. It is extremely important to make sure you are submitting your documents. EVERYONE should now submit their documents whether they are asked to do so or not. Once you have submitted, wait a week or two and ask KCC if they are satisfied with the documents. Don’t leave it much later.
Those that are current, and have forms processed early enough, they can expect their 2NL in about 1 to 2 weeks from now. This is the same every month. VB from the 8th to the 15th of each month, and 2NLs in the second half of the month. For the last few months there have been 2NLs sent in two main batches, some early (around the 15th to 20th) and then some in the later part of the month. But given the low numbers that may not be necessary. I would expect the 2NLs to have all been sent by the end of this month. The end of the month really means THE END OF THE MONTH. Please don’t waste my time later this month asking about 2NLs. Please. They can be sent right up until the last day of the month.
To those new to looking at VBs, let me explain what the “except” XXX country means – and you can also read this post on how to read the visa bulletin.
Processing is spread out over the full year. You can see the progress of the two previous years in this post about basic questions. However, some countries have a high number of selectees and those selectees are concentrated in the lower case numbers. For various reasons, mainly to do with embassy capacity, KCC slow down certain countries as compared to the region. So – in Africa, any case with a case number shown as under the new number can be interviewed but for cases from Egypt, that number is lower. That isn’t a big problem, it just “slows down” those countries a little more than the rest of the region. Since selectees from those countries all have lower case numbers, this slowing down does not present any risk. It does not (at this point) mean they won’t allow all selectees an interview from those countries.
To understand why some countries get lower case numbers, read this article about the lottery draw process.

Waouh what a jump. This year looks good
April 13, 2019 at 03:14
Can you clarify this “EVERYONE should now submit their documents whether they are asked to do so or not. Once you have submitted, wait a week or two and ask KCC if they are satisfied with the documents. Don’t leave it much later.”
Does this mean even if your number isn’t current you should submit your documents?

April 13, 2019 at 03:28
Hi Brit,
Can you tell something about AOS cases regarding this new numbers.
Do you think there is a chance to run out of the visas by end of the FY or should be ok?
April 13, 2019 at 04:51
Did you read what I wrote? Come on!
April 13, 2019 at 11:37
Yes I did. Thanks for that.
April 13, 2019 at 03:41
Very good news for high CN, awesome!, Good luck everyone
April 13, 2019 at 03:56

God bless everyone .
April 13, 2019 at 04:05
Wow.. Viva AF region!! 37.2k
Seems like we are getting CURRENT in a month or two.
Simon, will they send 2nl chronologically? Like..cn 24 or 25k a little earlier than 37k?? Or they just treat all CN that are current equally??
Thanks.
April 13, 2019 at 04:53
All equally.
April 13, 2019 at 04:10
What are the documents to be submitted

April 13, 2019 at 05:03
Hi Brit,
I received an email from KCC regarding the adjustment fee. It says once my number become available I should contact the USCIS and make the necessary payment. My number is AS 14,5** range. Receiving this email do you think there’s a probable chance for my case number to go current at least in July ?
April 13, 2019 at 08:24
I believe you’re getting scammed? You should pay fwef only at the embassy and then some AFTER you get visa. Correct me if I’m wrong.
April 13, 2019 at 14:45
@Alex. That is the AOS process. Leave the answering to me please.
April 13, 2019 at 14:36
You need to learn what you are doing or you will mess this opportunity up. You should NOT wait until your number is current to pay. Read the link below, especially the spreadsheet linked from the first post.

April 13, 2019 at 05:52

Hey Brit, thanks for your work.
My case number is EU 24xxx, but I didn’t sent ds-260 yet. If I do it in a couple of days, will my interview be in June or later months?
April 13, 2019 at 14:37
Later months.
April 13, 2019 at 06:13
Hello brit thank you for u’re working ,God bless you.
April 13, 2019 at 06:25
Wow…. EU28K here, apparently I’ll make it next month but I’ll provide the documents asap. Sad that I have to leave my girlfriend. Will it worth? Who knows.

April 13, 2019 at 07:48
You means before filling your ds 260 form, you must submit all of you document.
April 13, 2019 at 12:06

April 13, 2019 at 14:44

April 13, 2019 at 15:11

April 13, 2019 at 08:25
Hi Brit, once I submitted documents to KCC I received the auto reply confirming that they got the documents, then about in two days received a second email saying that I provided valid and complete DS 260, and provided all other required documentation to the KCC. On top of that, do I need to ask the KCC whether they are satisfied with these documents or not? Thanks Brit.
April 13, 2019 at 10:00
Now you just wait for the interview.
April 13, 2019 at 14:46
They already told you they were satisfied…
April 13, 2019 at 15:19
Hi, same case as Saman and now current in June. That second email means that they have already processeed the document? So 2nl should be received later this month.?
April 13, 2019 at 08:46
Finally! SA10XX 🙂
Think SA will go current for July or August interviews (probably the same for OC)
April 13, 2019 at 09:14

April 13, 2019 at 09:27
Hi Brit
I am from ASIA country and my case number is 14xxx and I saw in the visa bulletin number of AS for June is 10000.
In last few days, I have got an email from KCC to require me to send the documents for next step of reviewing. the instruction in the email mentioned that COLLECT AND SUBMIT ALL DOCUMENTS PROMPTLY! moreover, they have also mentioned that IF YOU CANNOT OBTAIN A PARTICULAR DOCUMENT, SEND A SCANNED OR PHOTOGRAPH EXPLANATION and YOUR CASE WILL NOT BE SCHEDULE FOR A VISA INTERVIEW UNTIL KCC HAS RECEIVED AND PROCESSED ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENT
I have one question would like to ask you:
=> My police certificate procedure will be completed in the end of May ( next month), thus is it possible or not if I send other documents ( passport, birth certificate,..) first to KCC for review+ my explanation letter about late submit a police certificate ?
and then I will send my police certificate in June.
Please apologized me with along text:-)
Have a nice weekend
Pheak
April 13, 2019 at 10:39
Hello Pheak
There was a guy with the same question as you, and Brit answered that KCC needs all the documents at the same time, not half now and half later, so since your number is not current yet I would suggest to collect all the needed documents and then send to kcc.
Sorry if my answer is wrong, since Brit will surely answer.
April 13, 2019 at 12:28
Oh, I see. Thanks for help to explain me about the proces documents. I hope that by the end of May I can submit all documents.
Have a nice weekend
April 13, 2019 at 21:44
Hi Pheak,
I might contradict brit on this one but i speak from my own experience. I was in the same situation like i had all my documents ready expect for 3 police certificates, my case number was going to be current so i had no choice but to send my document email without PCC. One day later my email got processed then i called KCC a week later just to make sure and they said my documents are just fine .
They actually processed around 63 documents for all my 4 family members in one day! I’m beginning to doubt they even bothered to look, anyway, here is my answer. If you are going to be current within a month or two send it without them, it doesn’t really matter, but you must have them at the interview
April 13, 2019 at 22:48
It will vary by case – if he has only ONE PC to present – that will be a problem. Your case was different.
April 13, 2019 at 14:47
You can try that, but their instruction is clear.
April 13, 2019 at 10:19
Hello Brit
Sorry if this question has been asked before.
” Once you have submitted, wait a week or two and ask KCC if they are satisfied with the documents. Don’t leave it much later.”
EU261XX here, I have submitted documents on 27 March 2019, since you say “Don’t leave it much later” is it okay if I wait for this month to end, and check if I will get my 2NL , and if not, to contact KCC.
Because I see some of people here say that they have received an email from KCC saying “Records indicate that bla bla bla” while I have not received it yet, I just received “your documents have been submitted and KCC is processing your documents”.
All the best !
April 13, 2019 at 14:52
It’s your case.
April 13, 2019 at 11:20
Thank you for all the latest information about the interview release I do appreciate your efforts on us
April 13, 2019 at 11:51
Who has already sent documents without kcc asking?
Please I will like to know what was their reply or their reaction to it
Thanks
April 13, 2019 at 14:55
They have scheduled case like that.
April 13, 2019 at 13:01
is there any body af 22xxx just like me i send documents 4x but not valid till now what is z solution ,this happen only my case or others
April 13, 2019 at 15:00
You are probably not sending the complete set of documents OR not identifying your case correctly. Check the email and make SURE you are doing it correctly, and also ask KCC if they have received your documents.

April 13, 2019 at 15:27
You can’t be serious.
April 13, 2019 at 15:32
where do you base your answer to me ???
April 13, 2019 at 16:50
You have posted 25 times. You have asked these same questiln multiple times, and last time you did that I had to point out you were being disrespectful of my time. You have seen me answer other people with the same questions hundreds of times. So when you ask again, I assume it is some sort of stupid joke.
April 13, 2019 at 17:17
where are you mistaken …. I respect your time and rescue what you are doing for us … I thought that things have changed now and that’s why I asked you again ….. You should not look at things with a negative eye. ….thank for your answer

“You should not look at things with a negative eye”
Oh jeez.

April 13, 2019 at 21:11
Ohhhhh so hard you have Brit to give a precise answer … You understand very well how we feel
April 13, 2019 at 22:43
I wrote a long explanation of what was happening focused on EU and AF, and one of the two scenarios came true, but there is still a backlog. You just don’t seem to read or comprehend what I have said. What more can I do?
April 13, 2019 at 20:34
Hi Brit, thanks for everything you’ve done for all of us! I have a question: my wife and I have CN: EU26xxx and we have sent our DS-260 forms on February 6 2019. After automatic confirmation e-mail which says that the form has been submitted, we didn’t hear anything from them ever since. Is this so to say “normal” or should they’ve already asked us to send the supporting documents? Since our number is current for June can we expect to be scheduled? Do you have any advice what should we do? Thanks once again!
April 13, 2019 at 22:38
Did you read the article above where I said EVERYONE should send the documents. Do that. You probably will NOT be scheduled for June now, because you have not submitted your documents.
https://britsimonsays.com/new-document-submission-procedure-update/
April 13, 2019 at 20:51
52xx real cases are made current for AF Region; what do you think we will see next VB – Have a Great Evening Sir !
April 13, 2019 at 22:40
Wait and see.
April 13, 2019 at 21:57
Hi Brit
I am current for june
After submetting my documents to kcc
I told them that l wanna change my interview place. They said me after the vb l can ask to unlock my ds260. I wanna know if its possible to do it now
April 13, 2019 at 22:48
That is a risk. You really should not do that if there is a way to avoid it.
April 13, 2019 at 22:59
Because l already send my desire to change the place in february. But l didnt change my DS260 not yet. So what do yu advice me ?
April 13, 2019 at 23:16
I already said.
April 13, 2019 at 23:17
When will be my interview AF43***
April 14, 2019 at 03:21
Wait and see.
April 14, 2019 at 05:30
Hi Brit,
First of all, thank you so much for your work and patience.
I hope you can help me with a quick question. My CN is EU28***, and we are ready to email our documents ahead of the interview. The only issue is that my son is 16 years old, and in my country, teens are recommended to renew their passports around this age. What do you think is better – to email the documents with his old passport (which is on the DS-260) and bring a new passport to the interview, or renew his passport first (takes about 2 weeks) and send our documents via email once that new passport is ready?
Thanks in advance!
April 14, 2019 at 05:48
Either way is fine.
April 14, 2019 at 06:07
Thanks for the quick response!
If I submit the documents right now, before renewing my son’s passport, should I unlock our DS-260 to update the passport information there with the new passport? Or can these passport updates be done at the interview?
April 14, 2019 at 14:15
Again – either.
April 14, 2019 at 19:22
Thank you!
April 14, 2019 at 07:53
Dear brit
Firstly i would like to say thank you for your hard working to help us ,i am from AF region ,as per your article we all should submite our decuments (EVERY ONE),but my case (45xxx)will be for july and my police cert will expired till the july if i released it now ,so please give your advice when should i submite my ducmts. for more i have two police certs to submit the one is with me and not be expired,
April 14, 2019 at 14:18
You can get another renewed police cert for the interview.
April 14, 2019 at 09:31
Goodday mr Brit
if your case status is AT NVC. could there be any thing to be done? cuz im really confuse.
thanks.
April 14, 2019 at 14:23
Just wait.
April 14, 2019 at 11:03
Thanks for sharing the list of required documents
I have another question
My number is af 466xx
And since you wrote that we should all send our documents to kcc , I went to get my paper done
Unfortunately I discovered that the police certificate validity is only 3 month
So if I issued it now
It will be valid until July
What do u think I should do
Issue one now and one later for the interview ?
U mentioned that they want the same papers that we send for them to be available for the interview otherwise it will be rejected
So if I issued it today and it’s not valid for my interview, there is another chance of being rejected
Appreciate your advice
April 14, 2019 at 14:24
“Issue one now and one later for the interview”
This.

2. What are the possible questions for a married couple

1. Wait and see.
2. There is nothing complicated.
April 14, 2019 at 14:03
Hi Brit,
I am selectee doing AOS.
Our(my wife and I) Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificate are not in English and I have translated them from a approved translator from my home country for US visa.
The USCIS web site says it should be translated by an approved translator accepted by them.
My problem is it’s little hard to find a translator from my native language to English here.
Do you have any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance
Nizmi
April 14, 2019 at 14:30
The USCIS website does NOT say “accepted by them”. It can be anyone.
https://www.uscis.gov/tools/glossary/certificate-translation
April 14, 2019 at 14:16
Hi Brit,
I am a selectee doing AOS. My wife and I have to submit our AOS Package so we need to include Birth Certificates and Marriage Certificates.
Our original certificates are not in english but we have translations from home country those we used for our visa earlier.
Can we use them in the AOS package or do we need to translate it again here? The USCIS web site says it should be translated by a translator approved by USCIS.
Any suggestion for this please ?
Thanks in advance
April 14, 2019 at 14:49
hi Mr Brit I have recive this email in 6 mars 2019
please tell me if i got a chance to receive my 2NL this month
Case Number: 2019AF00015XXX
Dear GHASSAN XXXXX
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center.
Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Interviews for the DV 2019 program will begin in October 2018 and conclude on September 30, 2019. Please refer to the visa bulletin at http://www.travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check http://www.dvlottery.state.gov.
April 14, 2019 at 15:10
Probably. Patience.
April 14, 2019 at 17:49
Hello Sir,
I sent my documents but i have one question as follows.,
In my country military is compulsary so i did not participate in military yet because i am a student. So they give me a document which shows that i have a liability but it is also seen that after graduation from 1 august i must come to the military. So does it create any problem for me?
April 14, 2019 at 19:39
I’m from Egypt with also compulsory military like you i’m a student, i have 3 years until they ask me to serve in the army.If i’m in military duty there is no way i can get a visa for immigration or even let one go out of the country for any reason, so if you have strict military laws like Egypt, you must stay a student! You can apply for masters degree or even any study in university to avoid you going to the military service, because the army will not let you out of the country without serving your duty.
April 14, 2019 at 19:56
I don’t know.
April 14, 2019 at 18:51
Hi Brit
Thx for your information that helped us a lot
.I’m a dv2019 winner . Did the interview and got the immigrant visa.
Plz I have some questions:
1. Can I leave the USA before receiving the Green cards ? Using the travel document?
2 .Can I apply for travel documents without recieving the GC?
3. How many days should I stay in USA to get the travel document that allows me to leave for 1 year and come back after that ?
Thx
April 14, 2019 at 20:01
This is all answered in the FAQ. Read that.
April 14, 2019 at 19:05
Hello,
Thank you a lot for the work you do. My question is regarding the supporting documents. We have already submitted our ds-260s, however, supporting documents have not been sent. I assume our number EU294xx becomes current next month, therefore would you suggest we sent documents already so we can get visa scheduled?
April 14, 2019 at 20:02
