Hi Simion, please i do wish to inquire if you have any inforamation regarding the embassy in Rio de Jenerio Brazil. Are they too strick on dv? I had a mistake on my edv on my name. I did correcte it on the ds260. Do you a have any information regarding their interview on dv winners. Im from the Africa region. Look forward to hear from you.thanks

I don’t know much about Brazil because locals are not eligible. Because they don’t do much DV I guess they will handle cases “by the book” – according to the instructions. The name issue should be OK if that is the only issue.

The ESC is looking for your CONFIRMATION code that you got when you entered the lottery. That is not the same as your case number.

The only family members that need to appear is the winner and their derivatives. So – if you are the winner, it means your spouse and children – NOT your parents, sisters and so on.

In transit simply means the embassy has not updated your status, when they do it will change to ready.
You should now be preparing for your interview, get your documents ready and have the medical.

Ahhh, God!! my heart is broken!!
With this final cut-off, I can feel sorry for those missing out!!
I am already in the US, I was lucky to get a low CN, but My advice for those who did not make the cut, plz relax and move on!! There is no one to blame.
I give credit to our Beloved Britsimon for not predicting the final cut-off bcz it’s sensitive and heartbreaking. Another thing, be happy to be freed from this painful wait, many of you, will get fortune in the future and You will learn that you did not miss anything!!
For DV 2016 selectees, this is a lesson for you,whether you have low or high CN, you must have a plan B, this a lottery, it’s not a contract.
For those Scheduled in Aug&Sept, make sure everything is in place, avoid any reason for AP.
Britsimon, you are a kind of person none can fully describe.

Hi Simon. Thanks for all your help. And best of luck to all waiting. I called kcc and they said the vb will be out on the 15th this month. I know that’s the default answer. So I pushed it and again they stated it would actually be the 15th. Anyways that could turn out to be irrelevant. But would it makes else for it to be late. Or the latest date it could be. So that they have the most complete picture available to them, thus giving higher cn cases the best possible chance of granting them a case number? What are your thoughts?

The total number (including family numbers) for Nepal is 3610. Does this mean that they have fulfilled the quota of 7% for Nepal? If so we won’t see increment in Nepal’s VB. Right?

Yes that can happen – it doesn’t represent a problem in any way – it just means the embassy have not updated the status as they should have done.
