July 3, 2015 at 01:56
Warning for all friends who will get interview ! I have fellow Cambodian who got disqualified during the interview on July 1 2015 . The problem is on Affidavit of Support I-134 here is her statement .
” I am a DV2015 winner from Cambodia. My case number is 2015AS1637. I am a graduated student. I just have a job for 6 months. I went to embassy for my interview on 25th of June. I prepared all the necessary documents for interview. My sponsor is my cousin of father side. He was born in the US. He is single and earned about 48000$ in 2014. During my interview the consular officer ask me about my sponsor who filled the I-134 form for me. The officer asked me who is my sponsor, where he live, what his job and I answers all his questions correctly. After he asked me to show the photo of sponsor and I did it. Later he asked me to show my photo with the sponsor I said I don’t have cos I never toke a photo with him and he only visited Cambodia for one time only. He ask me to sit for a while and called me back. I am really surprised when he said he didn’t believe my relationship with my sponsor he worried I became a public charge and he rejected my DV visa. I argued with him that my sponsor is really my relative and I asked him to investigate my case and decided later but he said NO cos he already decided.
I would like to ask you how can I file a complain and where I can do it. I lost my job and also spent a lot for the processing. ”
So everyone please take care !! wish you all good luck .
July 3, 2015 at 04:27
Thanks Britsimon for response..
July 3, 2015 at 06:10
Hi Brits about the affidavit, am a DV 2016 and I don’t see anywhere we are required to fill that form. Do I’ve to fill it coz according to the instruction on the further processing I didn’t see any of it
July 3, 2015 at 15:16
It is (typically) optional. Read this:-

July 3, 2015 at 07:52
Hi Simon,
Would you please suggest how much time before the interview date should we pass the medical check to be on the safe side?
Is it ok to start it 10 days before the interview date?
Thanks!
July 3, 2015 at 15:10
Normally yes – but the panel doctor will advise about that.
July 3, 2015 at 22:08
Thanks Simon!
July 3, 2015 at 08:03
Similar question Simon. I would like to have my medical next week (as I’ll be in the city). The interview is mid August. Is this ok?
July 3, 2015 at 15:10
Check that with the doctor.
Your visa validity (normally 6 months after approval) will be shorter based on the date of the medical – so you migfht have only 5 months to enter the USA and activate, rather than 6 months.
July 3, 2015 at 17:04
If that is the only concern it is no problem for me as I intend to leave to USA immediately after interview if Im successful. Are there any other issues with a medical 6 weeks before the interview? Is it allowed? Thanks Simon
July 3, 2015 at 18:22
That is allowed.
July 3, 2015 at 08:13

July 3, 2015 at 15:07
Hmmm – sounds like they are one of the embassies where KCC have to schedule manually.
July 3, 2015 at 09:53
Hi brits..my CN is AF000601××××× pls tell me what do you think…
July 3, 2015 at 15:06
Wait and see – next week you will know for sure.
July 3, 2015 at 10:22
When do people tell their relative to fill in for their Affadavit?
July 3, 2015 at 15:03
A month or so before the interview.
July 3, 2015 at 11:12
HI BRIT. how are you. I received my second letter but my case is still IN TRANSIT. Does it mean the embassy didn’t receive my informations and what will happen? thanks
July 3, 2015 at 14:59
No it simply means the embassy haven’t updated the CEAC system. Don’t worry about it – it happens and does not cause any problem.
July 3, 2015 at 15:41
Hi Brit,
I have got my visa week a go, but it is not stamped in my passport.
It has been stamped in paper form called DS-232 “Unrecognized passport or waiver case”
see the next link for more details http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/87505.pdf
I want to know whether it is normal and fine, or will I be abandoned to admit?
July 3, 2015 at 16:35
Seems like they have a set process in place so I am sure you will be fine.
What country issued your passport?
July 3, 2015 at 16:51
I want also to be sure that I will be admitted to USA and there will be no issue.
I have Comoros passport.
I want also to be sure that I will be admitted to USA and there will be no issue.
I have Comoros passport. Whereas there are few selectee from same Country each year. But I don’t know why my case been considered as “Unrecognized passport or waiver case”
Therefore, do you have any certain information regarding this?
July 3, 2015 at 18:21
No I don’t have “certain information” – you should do your own research.
On the reciprocity page for Comoros, it is indicated that passports are unavailable – so the USA considers them unavailable…
July 3, 2015 at 19:02
Ok!
– But what does unavailable means?
– Is there any problem to travel?
July 3, 2015 at 20:48
It means they do not recognize those passports – so – they gave you the visa on a different format which is a good thing in my opinion – but you are as able to use google as I am to figure out what will happen…
July 4, 2015 at 00:18
I hope so – and I wish to be good thing.
All what I could found – talking about visa issuance and procedure.
Also there are small parts regarding stamp the visa on form DS-232.
Not sure what will happen on the POE, but I’m trying to get any information that might be satisfied.
Whereas, I’m telling myself if the DOS doesn’t want such a people to be USA – they won’t provide the visa in this type of forms. But simply the CO will refuse to give the visa.
July 4, 2015 at 02:51
Obviously. I don’t know why you are worrying at all…
July 4, 2015 at 06:36
Yes sir – I’m worried about this.
When I have been informed that my passport unrecognized by U.S DOS
Then I don’t know what will happen when I will arrive POE.
July 4, 2015 at 14:58
OK – then there is nothing I can say to relax you.
July 3, 2015 at 15:52
Thanks for everything britsimon, got the 2nl but ceac still shows in transit,is it ok?
July 3, 2015 at 16:38
Yes
July 3, 2015 at 16:17
Dear Birt
Please advise regarding case number 2015AF302xx (Egypt) and still at NVC state:
Firstly, Completed On: 22 AUG 2014 then
Unlocked and Completed On: 17 FEB 2015.
Tnank you in advance.
July 3, 2015 at 18:05
Since that is Egypt it is not current yet., The VB number is 28700, which may or may not increase – so you will have to wait and see…
July 3, 2015 at 19:01
Dear Birt
“The VB number is 28700, which may or may not increase “, does this mean that the maximum accepted case number for Egypt may not reach my case number? right?.
July 3, 2015 at 20:46
Correct. Your number is higher than I have ever thought was safe/possible – so you have to wait and see what happens.
July 6, 2015 at 01:41
Dear Birt
Thank you for your reply.
Why do you think Egypt numbers will not exceed 28700 ?
How many shots are avalible till the DV2015 closes?
July 6, 2015 at 02:18
I explained this in several articles before – so use the search function. But in any case, there could be an increase – nothing is certain yet. We have to wait and see…
July 3, 2015 at 16:58
Hey Brit!
Only a few days to know the truth!! Do you happen to know the Response Rate for EU in DV2014?
I know i saw it somewhere, but I can’t find it now!!
Thanks a lot man.
July 3, 2015 at 18:22
I don’t know off the top of my head.
July 4, 2015 at 00:15
Any clue about where can I find that data?
July 4, 2015 at 02:50
No, it doesn’t really exist. The CEAC data last year was not as comprehensive as this year – meaning we cannot get accurate response rates – only guesses.
July 3, 2015 at 17:12
Britsimon ,how does kcc schedule interviews?according to ur numbers? Eg if someone has 39000 for august n someone 42000 August too can 42000 hv interview on the 1st n 39000 on the 30th ? Pls can u xplain it?
July 3, 2015 at 18:23
No – if two cases are both being scheduled within the same month in the same embassy they will not enforce a case number order.
July 3, 2015 at 18:38
Simon, if only kcc can add af300 on that max af65xxx to be af65300, i will be one of the happiest men on Earth. But nevertheless, America is not all to my life. I’m aleady working on plan B. For me i know simon like my ABC what he has said about af65xxx will surely be that #. If it will pass then it will be the help of our creator. Many blessing to all still waiting for the final VB.
July 3, 2015 at 20:45
tk – earlier I gave a range of 55 to 65. The higher up in that range the lower the chance – so I did not mean to give the impression that 64999 is safe, not is 65 a hard cutoff. So – honestly 65300 is almost as likely as 65000 – but both numbers are still risky and not safe at all.
Hopefully this coming week, we will see.
July 3, 2015 at 21:16
hello sir britsimon, (CN 480XX) through all the data you guess that for the next VB, thank you for all your efforts and results that you have been very fair and then calls other efforts and announced estimate of the last VB …. big thank you ,

July 4, 2015 at 03:54

July 4, 2015 at 16:18
My friend & bro. You are also in a risky & not safe zone. Af64830 that you sent to my mail is not a safe #. For me i know what brit is capable of doing when it comes to dv prediction.
