2NLs are starting to be sent for June interviews (DV2019). Please note – I am saying STARTING to be sent, some 2NLs will be sent right up until the end of the month.
Please also understand that 2NLs are only sent to cases which are current, had submitted their DS260 so that processing has been completed on that AND they have sent their documents some time ago. If someone only sent their documents in the last week or two, that was probably not in enough time to get on the list to be scheduled this month, and the interview will be held in a later month.
Some people previously got 2NL emails but then had to wait days or even a couple of weeks before the interview letter showed on the ESC page. Other people waited until the beginning of the following month to get their 2NLs and ESC page update. So – be patient, stay calm. Some physicians won’t schedule the medicals unless you have the 2NL in hand, BUT there is plenty of time before these interviews, no need to stress out!
VERY IMPORTANT. 2NLs will be sent during the remainder of the month. If you do not get yours today – no need to freak out, just wait. There is no need to ask me about specific regions or countries, assume any country or region could have 2NLs as late as the last day of the month (last day in the USA, not where you live).
Also, you will not get the 2NL if you have not submitted your DS260 AND your documents to KCC AND your case number is current (lower than the VB number for your region). If ANY of those three things are not true you will not get the 2NL, and there is no need to ask me about that – it should be clear (especially as I have repeated this information many times before and a couple of times in this article).
The email itself has no useful information. It simply tells you to check the ESC site for the interview details. Some people that receive the email will find the ESC site is not ready, those people should try again after a few hours. Also, some people find the email itself goes to a trash or spam folder or somehow miss it. So – if you think you may have been scheduled but missed your email, you can check the ESC site, just in case. The 1NL (you have been selected letter) is replaced by a new letter which gives the appointment details. You log in to the ESC page with your original confirmation code (from when you entered the lottery.

Dear Brit,
How the catastrophic situation in Sri Lanka affect the interview process? I have already got the interview appointment for next month. Any possibility of cancelling or delaying the interview due to this?
April 24, 2019 at 05:24
Yes, they have cancelled some appointments already. Read their website.
April 24, 2019 at 06:01
hi Kevin,
my interview scheduled to be held in this week. but they postponed. hope your interview will not be affected if it is on next month. better if you can call embassy.

Hi Britsimon,
1. I have a middle name which is listed everywhere like passport, birth certificate and University degree but somehow my middle name is not on my high school diploma. Will I have problems with proving my high school diploma? I am from Germany.
2. Do I have to live with my sponsor or can I live in another city? Also does my Greencard have to be send to my sponsors address?
Many thanks
April 23, 2019 at 23:10
1. No problem.
2. Live anywhere, but the GC is sent to the address in the DS260.
April 23, 2019 at 13:30
Dear Friend. You can give your personal scenario how you think things will go for the EU region. I only like your PERSONAL script. I understand that nothing is safe.
April 24, 2019 at 08:26
EU will be current

Does pregnancy appear at the report that is sent to the embassy
April 23, 2019 at 13:30
I don’t know
April 23, 2019 at 03:15
Hi Britsimon,
I received my 2NL but I realized that a have an error in my DS260. I crossed “yes” to the question if my work experience requires 2 years of training. After I checked the Onet list I realized it’s not correct. But I still qualify with my high school and my University degrees.
Since my file is in the US embassy of my home country should I just email them and tell them to unlock my DS 260 and to correct my mistake? I do not want to be denied because of this mistake.
Many thanks in advance
April 23, 2019 at 03:41
It is trivial. No need to change anything.
April 23, 2019 at 03:48
Thank you for your fast reply.
Also there is another thing which concerns me. I have a middle name which is listed everywhere like passport, birth certificate and University degree but somehow my middle name is not on my high school diploma. Will I have problems with proving my high school diploma? I am from Germany btw a low fraudulent country I guess. Will that change anything?
Thanks in advance again

Thank you for your inquiry.
Collect and submit your documents promptly. Your case will not be scheduled for a visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate until KCC has received and processed all required documents. Missing or illegible documents will delay processing of your case. If you cannot obtain a particular document, send a scanned or photographed explanation of why you cannot obtain the document, as an attachment, to [email protected], with your case number in the subject line. Diversity visas are numerically limited and there is no guarantee a visa will be available. Sir,
I see some comments like that,
“I submit my ds 260 form and received mail that kcc received it”
I want to know that kcc send mail when you submit ds form or when they processed your ds form?
Because i submit my form on july but did not receive anything yet.
April 20, 2019 at 16:23
Don’t worry about that – it is unimportant.
April 20, 2019 at 12:09
Hi Brit! thank you for your supportive ideas you post for us. My CN is AF217xx and I sent all my documents on March 12/2019 but still only outoreply is sent for me is it normal?
April 20, 2019 at 16:13
Probably normal. Wait until the end of the month.
April 22, 2019 at 09:11
Sent e mail for kcc and tell them you dont recevice the documetns confirmation e mail
They will reply in 2 days
My brother did that
If you dont do that your interview will delay
April 20, 2019 at 08:06
Hi Simon! We are a bit worried about our medical exams. We had the evaluation this week, but my husband’s TST seems to be positive to LTBI, although the chest x-rays are negative. The doctor was not complety sure about the test’s result and he said he might want to do a blood test to check further. The question is how would this impact our interview? The interview is scheduled on May 2nd and due to the Easter holidays the next visit to the doctor will be just 2 days before the interview. We are also not sure if the injection was correctly applied as the doctor didn’t seem very sure on the procedure, and my husband is allergic, so we’re not very sure on how much to trust the test, the result, the doctor. But what concerns as the most is the interview and if we will get clear medical results for it. My husband is the main applicant so this whole situation concernes us. Any previous experience with such scenario or knowledge about what we should expect would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
April 20, 2019 at 15:05
Non active and active TB can be treated. However, your case will be delayed during the treatment and none of you can be approved (because he is the principal) while the treatment is ongoing. So – if your husband needs treatment he needs to start treatment immediately, and should get the fastest possible treatment. No visa will be issued after September 30, but realistically there is risk unless you get a clear medical before the end of August. Once you provide a clear medical to the embassy they will only then be able to apply to KCC for visas for you – hence the risk and some further delay.
April 20, 2019 at 15:13
Dear Simon,
My wife is the main applicant and we have been scheduled for the interview on June 20th. The problem is my wife is pregnant and in the early stage ( 2 months).
I got to know that in the medical examination some vaccinations and full body scan will be applied. My wife can’t be do those things since she is pregnant.
Without the medical examination they will not allow us to enter into USa.
Please advise in this regard what can I do?
Any cases you have before that?
Thanks BRIT in advance.
April 19, 2019 at 20:24
Hi Simon.
Maybe Crazy is right. I am a typical case: current for June, but KCC told me that I will be scheduled for an interview on July.
Could it be June or July ? I have to wait and see, but I think that they use a formula even before confirmation of scans.
Thank you.
April 19, 2019 at 22:13
No. A few cases don’t confirm a theory that has no logic. Really. I am certain.
April 20, 2019 at 08:08
I do not want to have a conflict with Brit or others, but Crazy is approximately correct. If you are current in April, I mean if you are current for 26.800 and you got KCC confirmation email (confirmation of documents) after 4-5 April, you’ll not get interview for June. You’ll be able to get AT LEAST for July. Crazy tries to explain this. And he wrongs only in one thing – not till 31 March, it can be till 4-5th of month, 4-5 of April, I mean.
April 20, 2019 at 10:22
I see the logic to it, I am not sure what the day is though, but there should be a cut off day in which if you receive the email before or after that day your are likely to receive the 2NL for your first current month or later months.
Just my 2 cents
April 20, 2019 at 16:06
The cutoff day will vary based on the workload and staffing at KCC. It is not set in stone.
April 20, 2019 at 15:43
I have had a hectic week so have not had much time for this, and hate having to spend extra time on this, but oh well. This point won’t die will it.
To begin with I ignored Crazy’s posts as others had pointed out he was wrong. Some people make my work here easy and pleasurable and others make it harder. Crazy has posted hundreds of times, and has posted some theories which are hard to decipher. I have tried to educate but Crazy tends to post more confusion than he responds or reads, and then will add extra confusion in for good measure. In the past he has also created multiple personas and posted as different people so that he could “support” his own theories or ask questions he had already asked. All *really* frustrating. So – when I see a post from Crazy I think twice about even answering, frankly.
Anyway, about the issue at hand. I have been explaining this sort of thing for years.
His mistakes were these.
First. His original post was unclear about what email he was talking about. I and others were thinking he meant 2NLs, meaning his information was extremely misleading. People (not me) pointed that out and he started arguing.
Then someone pointed out he might have been talking about document confirmations. And whilst he has never clarified that properly (but argued a lot), that seems to be what he was talking about. So – OK, we will assume that is true.
In his first post (linked below) he did NOT say anything about whether a case is current or not. So – THAT alone means his post was nonsense are likely to cause confusion if read in isolation. Getting an email confirmation without being current would not signify an interview is being scheduled. It is me that gets endless questions from confused people so I would rather people like crazy don’t create more confusion.
Next, the premise that an email confirmation is necessary. We have NO evidence of that. It is possible that cases are scheduled without receiving confirmations. But again, confusion being created by readers and writers here is creating this concern that somehow the email confirmation itself is part of the process, and therefore people are worrying about the confirmation too much. I do NOT believe that to be the necessary for interview scheduling. Completion of the docs, case current and completed DS260 – yes, confirmation email – no. However, if people email KCC they may get the confirmation.
Lastly your point about dates. The cutoff dates (to get the confirmation and then get interviewed) he gave were the end of the month. That is unlikely to be correct and your “early month” dates are more likely to be correct (in terms of when the case is ready for scheduling) and more in line with what I have been explaining for years (but about DS260 readiness, prior to the new doc procedure). But again, I do NOT believe the email itself is important to be scheduled, so crazy just created/supported the impression that everyone NEEDS the confirmation.
I really hope that closes this topic. Really.
Here is the post we are discussing.

Dear mt. Birt
Pls. Advice is it ture that if i submitt my ds before last august that make the ESC result showing unavailable !!
So pls. How can i check the second letter
Pls. Help me
April 19, 2019 at 19:34
No that is not true. Check the ESC page and use the lost conformation link if needed.
April 19, 2019 at 19:39
Lost confirmation link wher i find this
Noting that i do have the confermation number
It shows that the name is not true even i wrote it the same way in my first letter
April 19, 2019 at 19:47
You don’t need the lost confirmation link if you already have the confirmation number. That is why I said “if needed”.
Now – you keep asking questions, but you are not being clear. What, EXACTLY, is the problem?
April 19, 2019 at 19:56
The problem is i entered the data and every time the result shows invalid or unavailable
Even i triee several time and i am sure no mistke i entered my data as it is in my confirmation letter
April 19, 2019 at 19:59
WHERE DID YOU “ENTER THE DATA”?
Be exact – I am too busy to read your mind.
April 19, 2019 at 17:57
Hi Brit,
I have received my 2NL and now preparing for the interview. I have a query in i-134 form.
My chargeable country is Nepal and in DSD260 form i have mentioned the address of Nepal as previous address, and the address of India as current address as I m doing job here.
My question is, which address I have to mention in i-134 form. My chargeable country (Nepal) address or the address where I m currently (India).
In my 2NL my current address of India is mentioned in addressee (letter head) and interview is scheduled in Nepal.
Could you please suggest me on this.
Thanks
April 19, 2019 at 18:20
The I-134 should have your current address.
April 19, 2019 at 18:25
Thanks Brit for your kind reply.
April 19, 2019 at 14:53
Hi every one
i tried to check my second letter but every time it shows ( Warning: The information entered is not valid) check your name and name

Now stop being a pain in everyone’s ass!
April 19, 2019 at 19:54
I think he is talking about the email confirmation of the documents, and not the actual 2NL, I am current in June but received the email of confirmation in April, so based on that logic I would receive the interview in July then… is crazy wrong because this is not the case? so could I possibly receive an interview in June anyway?
Regards
April 19, 2019 at 20:04
It’s wrong because it’s nonsense. If someone got an email confirmation in January, but isn’t current yet – that blows his silly theory immediately. Why invent stupid crap theories that make no sense?
April 19, 2019 at 20:43
Read what I wrote ….. I’m talking about those numbers that are valid for June but received emails Confirmation of documents after April 1) after April 1) .. Do you see any issues that have been interviewed … … I do not fall into your level
April 19, 2019 at 22:18
I can’t spend any more time on this.
April 19, 2019 at 20:34
CRAZY IS OK……My friend eu case number 22000 send scan documents in 20 March….recieved confirmation in 3 April…..but no 2 NL for june…..
April 19, 2019 at 22:15
…. and June is not over yet.
April 19, 2019 at 15:03
Crazy, you think you are right because of confirmation bias (google it), you think you are correct, but you are not. Or because you might be crazy. What is your case number and region anyway?
April 19, 2019 at 13:09
Greetings BritSimon,
You deserve great thanks for the time you spend in helping us.
am 2019AF246xx, sent DS260 on August, requested to send required documents on 19 March 2019. But before attaching those additional documents there was an email from KCC showing receipts of documents. After preparing additional documents, I have attached on 23 March 2019 and got an automatic conformation of receipt. Moreover, on 26 March there was an additional email of receipt of documents from KCC. There isn’t 2NLs …..
Is there any saying on it?
April 19, 2019 at 14:57
Answer their requests correctly – regardless of what went before.
April 19, 2019 at 09:00
Also i sent my documents two time on 19 and 25 march.Does it create any problem?
April 19, 2019 at 14:44
I have answered you on this too many times.
April 19, 2019 at 17:14
I forgot what is your answer Sir?
April 19, 2019 at 17:24
I am very busy.
April 19, 2019 at 08:50
Send documents on 25 March but did not get any confirmation mail.Is it okay?
April 19, 2019 at 19:54
Sure you send the documents to a wrong email

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/diversity-visa-program-entry/diversity-visa-if-you-are-selected.html
I passed the the step document support and I got this content from KCC
“Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center.
Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing…”
I follow the step additional country embassy USA requirement, I don’t see the form I-134 requirement?
the question is
1. when I should ask sponsor to do form I-134?
another story is, My friend won DV2017, she said no need to show bank slip to embassy, should I print bank slip?
Thank you
April 19, 2019 at 14:44
Yes you should take evidence of financial support (your own or an I-134) to the interview. That is in the instructions from the very beginning when you entered the lottery. You clearly just didn’t read them.
April 19, 2019 at 22:25
oh I see,
Yes I didn’t read. Thank you.

April 19, 2019 at 03:57
Greetings Brit,
AF246xx, I requested to send all document on 19 march, attached on 23 march and confirmed on 26march 2019. There isn’t 2NL
April 19, 2019 at 14:29
Did you read the article above?
April 19, 2019 at 03:27
Hi Simon,
First of all thanks for taking the time to help everybody in the community, I am very thankful for the resources and great info that you can find on your website.
Second, I won the DV 2019 and my Status is Current (According VB CN will be current on June), as I am currently living in the US as an F2 and my wife (F1) we decided to Adjust Our Status, so reading on your website and in the Google Spreadsheet for AOS_Process and Documents, it says that we might not get the 2 NL as it is an AOS case, It is true or should I wait for it?
I called KCC to ask if I need to send the Documents, and they said that as it is an AOS the USCIS is the one that will require the documents on the AOS package but they weren’t very helpful, and every time I call to ask its the same, USIC will take care of your case as you are trying to AOS.
Finally, the question that really concerns me: How can I know if I need an Affidavit of support?
I do count with savings to support my wife and my baby daughter (Who is a US Citizen) in the country.
What would you recommend, it is mandatory?.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Have a bless day.
April 19, 2019 at 14:28
The spreadsheet and Sm1smom’s thread should be your guide.
KCC don’t process AOS cases at all. Yes you will need an I-134, unless you have some income or substantial savings.
April 22, 2019 at 20:12
Hi Simon,
Sorry to bother you again, I asked a lawyer but he wasn’t sure about it, he told me that I doesn’t matter how much savings do I have in my account, I’ll need an affidavit of support and that person must be a tax payer.
In your opinion how much savings do I need Wife + daughter (US CITIZEN) + me, is there a minimum to have?
Thanks in advance.
April 22, 2019 at 20:58
So I said you should get an I-134 and the lawyer said that too – but still you want to discuss showing savings??
Substantial means a LOT of money – but I don’t have a magic number and I am recommending an I-134.
April 24, 2019 at 18:06
Thank you very much Simon.
I’ll get my I-134 asap.
Regards.

“If someone only sent their documents in the last week or two, that was probably not in enough time to get on the list to be scheduled this month, and the interview will be held in a later month.“
Please sir Simon, when you say “this month” in the above statement of yours, what month do you mean- April or June?
April 19, 2019 at 01:45
This month, meaning 2NL in April (for June interviews).
April 18, 2019 at 20:59

April 19, 2019 at 01:38
Contact KCC or wait.
April 18, 2019 at 18:46
Hi Brits I thought 2NL shall be sent from today until the end of this month for those who had sent thier ds260 and sent thier valid ducment in time? Some one asked this question and u said no.i am a bit confused here pls.
April 18, 2019 at 19:07
The person asked if they would be sent every day from now until the end of the month and Brit answered no because they usually send them in batches not every day. It looks like a batch of 2NLs have gone out today and there “may” be another batch at the end of the month .. but they don’t send them out every day
April 19, 2019 at 06:11
Can you please not answer and let Brit do it. Thank you.
April 19, 2019 at 14:40
Actually Eric, you would have done better to follow your own advice.
“Lisa in Oz” has answered a number of questions very helpfully on my behalf as she is awake when I am asleep. She has never made a mistake in her answers, so her answers stand for themselves and save me time.

Read the article above.
April 18, 2019 at 18:21
An important thing is missing from posts ….Those who receive email corfimations from 1 april -30 April the Interwiev will be in July Those who receive email confirmations from May 1 to May 31 are interviewed in August ……. Those who receive email confirm by Kcc from June 1 -30th June the interview will be in September…good luck
April 18, 2019 at 18:39
No that is not true. Please stop spreading this kind of misinformation
April 18, 2019 at 19:01
Mark of course that is true
April 18, 2019 at 19:04
You’re off my a month Crazy. April 2NLs are for June interviews not July
April 18, 2019 at 19:41
If your number is current but you receive a (confirmation email in May) kcc you will not be given a date interview in May ….. Kcc will send you an interview date at the end of June for August’s interviews …… …. If you receive (confirmation email in June) Kcc will Not email you for the interview date in June …. Kcc Will send you the date at the end of July for the September interviews
April 18, 2019 at 19:31
everything I say is based on the email that was sent and the dates of the interviews that have been received …… I’m right
April 18, 2019 at 19:38
No, you’re not. I am current for June and I just got my 2NL for a June interview.
April 18, 2019 at 20:22
read carefully what I wrote ……. ANA believe that you are current but received the confirmation email DOCUMENTS before March 31st …. If your confirmation email was received after 31 March you did not have it date interviews for June
April 19, 2019 at 01:40
Crazy – you were CLEARLY incorrect with what you said – you were off by a month as you were told. PLEASE read more, type less.
April 18, 2019 at 20:56
When you recevied confirmation email for documents???
April 18, 2019 at 19:40
No you are not. I am done with this argument. Dose who read what Brit wrote and dose who received 2nl knows that you are wrong. You are making people more confused and you should be banned from writing this type of thing.
April 18, 2019 at 17:38
2NLs’ are being sent “chronologically” as per the backlog. anybody from AF region with case number above 30’s and have received 2NL?
April 18, 2019 at 17:42
“2NLs’ are being sent “chronologically” ”
No, that is not correct.
April 18, 2019 at 17:34
>>>assume any country or region could have 2NLs as late as the last day of the month (last day in the USA, not where you live).
My case number is current in June, but I’m just my ds-260 2 days ago.
So my 2NL will be sent next month?
April 18, 2019 at 17:43
Maybe. Or perhaps the month after – so July or August interview.
April 18, 2019 at 17:26
Hey Simon! You were correct, as usual. I received my 2NL today ?
April 18, 2019 at 17:31

April 18, 2019 at 18:31

April 18, 2019 at 19:05
It took 5 weeks for them to confirm my documents. I think it was Jan 20 or so when I sent them.
April 18, 2019 at 19:51
Thanks.i received valid Tuesday and am.current for June
April 21, 2019 at 23:42

April 19, 2019 at 14:42
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
April 20, 2019 at 13:57
Dear Simon,
My wife is the main applicant and we have been scheduled for the interview on June 20th.
Thanks BRIT in advance.
April 20, 2019 at 16:19
The medical is required, but will be modified for a pregnancy (including a abdomen shield during the XRAY). If you do not accept the modified medical, you will not get the Green Card as you mention – so then your only choice will be to try your luck in future lotteries (but this win won’t improve future chances).
