This is very early – so that might mean it will take a few days before all 2NLs are sent.
The email itself has no useful information. It simply tells you to check the ESC site for the interview details. Some people that receive the email will find the ESC site is not ready, those people should try again after a few hours. Also, some people find the email itself goes to a trash or spam folder or somehow miss it. So – if you think you may have been scheduled but missed your email, you can check the ESC site, just in case. The 1NL (you have been selected letter) is replaced by a new letter which gives the appointment details.
For those that received their interview notice, now is the time to start preparing for the interview. Gathering documents, scheduling the medical and so on. To learn how to prepare please view my guide on preparing for the interview.

That can’t be open, it give error message
December 21, 2017 at 18:33
They will contact you once the decision is made, I don’t know how.
December 17, 2017 at 14:44
We have got a dv lottery with my spouse and dugther but we will plan to us separately do you think is that possible?
Plus my wife is pregnant? Is that any problem?
December 17, 2017 at 15:59
THe principal applicant can enter the USA WITH or BEFORE the derivatives. The derivatives can enter without the principal AS LONG as the principal has entered already.
You will have an expiry date in each visa so you must EACH enter the USA before that date.
No problem for the pregnancy.

Hey Brit,
Quick one here.
1. Can you leave US after getting social security card?
2. I guess this card process will take almost 4 weeks from the initial entry date. Am I correct on this.
Thanks.
December 13, 2017 at 14:52
1. Yes
2. The SSN comes faster than 4 weeks. The GC takes longer.
December 13, 2017 at 14:56
Thanks Brit.
Generally how much time does it takes for GC.
Can we travel in and out of US without GC ??
December 13, 2017 at 17:51
It can take a few months for the GC to arrive. During that time, the endorsed visa in the passport allows entry to the USA.
December 25, 2017 at 04:40
Thanks Brit for your help.
Few more questions for your support;
1. Will GC process get extended if I leave US after receiving SSN. Do I need to be physically there or will it be posted or sent to the address I have provided in my DS-260 form in my absence so later I can collect myself.
2. Do I need to be permanently available in the same address provided in DS-260 till I will receive SSN and GC, I mean can I visit other place and can I collect these documents once post on the same address.
3. Please help me with the GC process information, I am bit worried.
Thanks in advance.
December 25, 2017 at 04:53
1. No. You don’t need to remain there.
2. Same question.

HI Simon,
Me and my wife have already got the VISA from the US Embassy.
After we got the visa, we have realized that the original location we chose in DS260 is not so appropriate for our profession with very few job opportunities there.
We haven’t paid the fee for Green Card yet.
So now my question is, Is it compulsory to go to the original location we mentioned in the DS260 ? or Is there any way we can inform the authority (may be at the port of entry) and go to a different location in the US ?
December 5, 2017 at 14:52
Go where you want – and inform them at the POE.

Check your ESC page and then wait. Your DS260 submission was quite late.
