Filled out the poll! Based on early indications for EU (apparently numbers running upwards of 50k+), do you think a 2026EU38xxx number becoming current could be likely? Initially thought it would be impossible or very unlikely.
Think 2023 and 2018 were years with near 40k or above selectees for EU where the number never reached 40k, but for other years (excl. the covid affected years) the selection numbers were above 38k. 2025 remains to be seen.

It’s far too soon to know. We are beginning to get a good idea about case numbers, and that tends to suggest we have a high selection year again, BUT we will only really be sure when we see the official selectee numbers in August or September. Then we will understand the density “shape” later on January 1. The picture is revealed slowly. Any guesses now are just plucked from thin air.
