The numbers are released – theses are for May interviews.
AFRICA 32,700 (Last month 30,700)
Except:
Egypt: 20900 (Last month 18,200)
Ethiopia: 25750 (Last month 22,550)
ASIA – 5275 (Last month 4725)
EUROPE – 30300 (Last month 28450)
OCEANIA – 1075 (Last month 975)
SOUTH AMERICA, and the CARIBBEAN – 1025 (Last month 1025)
I would not be surprised to see the SA number change in the next couple of days – although the problems in Venezuela could be driving the no increase.
Just as a matter of interest – these were my predictions from my 2NL analysis a couple of weeks ago. I think I let my “optimistic” side take over a little (although many will have thought I was being pessimistic)
AF – 34XXX to 35XXX.
EU – 32XXX to 33XXX.
AS – 53XX to 54XX.
SA – 1100 to 1150.
OC – 1050 and 1100.
If your number has become current AND your DS260 is processed, then you can expect an email in about 7 to 10 days from now. The email doesn’t have the appointment details but simply prompts you to check the ESC website where your 1NL (selected letter) will have been replaced by an appointment letter.
If you do not understand how to understand the Visa Bulletin – please read this – How to read and understand the visa bulletin.
Also please see the historical visa bulletin numbers here to compare progress this year to previous years.

April 28, 2015 at 12:52
Hello Brit thanks for your satisfactory job. Please when do you think AF52*** will receive a second letter.I ask because the visa bulletin for june is still at 34150 which is very slow compared to the other years.I am from Cameroon.thanks
April 28, 2015 at 14:34
I think that will be a September interview so you will receive the 2NL in July.
April 16, 2015 at 07:48

March 24, 2015 at 13:54
Taken from Daily Press Briefing, March 18, 2015
QUESTION: Is there an update on the situation with the number of U.S. diplomats in Venezuela?
MS. PSAKI: There’s not an update. I know there was a deadline, so to speak, earlier this week. But there are ongoing discussions, so there isn’t a public update at this point in time.
I think no so bad news for SA. right?
March 24, 2015 at 15:06
Doesn’t tell us anything – not bad, not good.
March 23, 2015 at 19:23
Hi BritSimon,
you are doing an amazing job here without getting any money. I’m EU33xxx and I know exactly how nervous we are all about the last VB. But pls, my friends around the world – let’s say thanks to BritSimon, who is helping so much. What an outstanding job to always anwers the same questions…. we all love the USA and thats why we are so nervous. @Simon: Just stay motivated to help all of us during this time of waiting 🙂
Best regards
AKusa
March 23, 2015 at 19:30
Thanks for those comments – happy to give a little back! I imagine you will be current soon yourself. Best of luck!
March 23, 2015 at 15:14
hi Simon,
tell us if with the latest data published by kcc is what we can expect the AF0066xxx will have his interview? thank you
March 23, 2015 at 15:26
That will probably be a September interview…
March 19, 2015 at 20:59
Hello Britsimon. First of all I want to congratulate you on your blog. It is excellent.
I am from Venezuela and my case number is 2015SA15XX. Do you think that my case number is in the risky range? I know some people have asked almost the same, but I am very anxious, specially after the visa bulletin of April was released. For now, my interview will be in the US embassy in Caracas. Would you recommend to change the place (country) for the interview?.
Thank you very much.
March 19, 2015 at 21:05
Bienvenido Pedro. Your number should not be risky at all – but of course the political situation makes it unclear about whether the Caracas embassy will continue to do interviews. If not, you might have to change – but you should probably wait a month before you decide to get a better idea of what will happen at the embassy.
March 17, 2015 at 18:40
Hello BritSimon, I am really sorry for my past message, it was just after the exit(release) of the VB and I was totally discouraged and loses some hope, I am sincerely sorry I did not so mean. Otherwise thank you for your beautiful work and I hope that I would be current very true that I have no chance with my big CN AF62xxx
March 17, 2015 at 13:28
Ok thank you Sir I will do that ….roughly how long does it take for them to unlock it upon my request
March 17, 2015 at 16:55
2 to 3 days
March 17, 2015 at 06:56
sir,
I have already filled ds 260 form as single but now i got married.how to unlock ds260?can i add my wife after i get second letter? do nepal have any chance for case no. 8580-8590 for visa?
March 17, 2015 at 13:26
The number is risky, but to unlock just email KCC
March 17, 2015 at 00:02
Another question I lost my passport after filling the DS260 form.Is there a need to ask Kcc to unlock my form so that I can edit my passport number or it doesn’t matter?thank u Sir.
March 17, 2015 at 00:56
If you have time it is wise to unlock to include the new passport number – but if there is not enough time then you can update that in the interview.
March 17, 2015 at 01:09
Considering that my case number is AF52*** do you think there is still time for me to do that?
March 17, 2015 at 03:36
Yes – for sure.
March 17, 2015 at 04:08
I have the affidavit frm the police that I lost my passport n and a letter from home affairs confirming all this.will it be a wrong move if I may take all this to the interview without unlocking the DS260?
March 17, 2015 at 13:24
Your call, I would unlock.
March 16, 2015 at 22:50
What about 289*** from Egypt can I get my interview
March 16, 2015 at 23:20
THat is a risky number – but if you do get an interview it will be August or SEptember
March 16, 2015 at 19:43
af52*** is this 100% safe?
March 16, 2015 at 19:47
Yes.
March 16, 2015 at 01:14
Hello Brit Simmos
I have new passport i wondering if the change of passport could affect my slim chance AF85XXX
Can you also tell me what is “unlock” as one member used on this forum? I have not visited my details since i got the number.

Hi BritSimon, my case number is AF7529#. I submitted my DS 260 on may 24, 2014, do you think I stand a chance?
March 14, 2015 at 14:22
Hi BritSimon, my case number is 2015 AF0007429# . I submitted my DS 260 on may 24, 2014, do you think I stand a chance?
March 14, 2015 at 16:36

March 14, 2015 at 16:17

March 14, 2015 at 00:21
September probably
March 13, 2015 at 22:08
Simon you are doing a great work 🙂 thank you
March 13, 2015 at 21:53
Dear Simon, so do you think AS6000 is safe in this matter? ( for Iran )
March 13, 2015 at 22:00
Amir – the number is safe of course – but the question for Iranians is whether they will go on AP, and if so – how long that will last.
March 13, 2015 at 16:30
Thank you Simon,
It was the end of November, but the case completed in February, before the invitations send-out for April. So, might be May. Thank you again.
March 13, 2015 at 21:46
Please let me know if that actually happens – if correct, it will show a speeding up of the processing.
March 13, 2015 at 16:06
c’est un forum ou on echange mais personne ne sais, personne ne travaille au niveau de la KCC, estimation et tout ne sert à rien, on est tous pareille meme les administrateurs ne sais rien car tout sont erroner la fois passé
March 13, 2015 at 21:45
English please.
And yes – we don’t know – we just make educated guesses. If you prefer uneducated guesses there are lots of people able to do that for you….
March 13, 2015 at 12:53
Hi Simon,
My case # is current, the case has completed the processing, but the DS 260 was submitted in November. Do you think the interview can really be scheduled for May? The thing why I’m asking is that last month pretty big # of current and processed cases didn’t get the invitation for April with the forms submission in October.
March 13, 2015 at 15:49
Saying “November” is a wide gap. If you submitted in early November you might get into May interviews, but only if your case completed before the 1st of March. In a week or 2 you will know for sure….
March 13, 2015 at 11:00
Hi Britimon,
What do you think about AF857xx is there any chane ,
March 13, 2015 at 15:41
Almost no chance unless we get MASSIVE numbers of people not submitting their DS260.
March 13, 2015 at 08:30
hi sir.. i am wondering .before a few years the cut off for all regions was 46k .what was the reason ..my CN is AF53k and this VB Sounds scarry ..thanks
March 13, 2015 at 15:37
FORGET the numbers in previous years – each year is different. AF53XXX is safe.
March 13, 2015 at 06:17
What do you think about EU377XX? Is that number cut off in DV2015? Thanks
March 13, 2015 at 15:32
Should be OK
March 13, 2015 at 05:35
Any chance (or lack thereof) of getting interviewed with a cn in the range of 13,500-13,700?
March 13, 2015 at 15:31
I would say that number range is unlikely to get interviewed.
https://britsimonsays.com/update-regarding-nepal-and-asia/
March 12, 2015 at 19:50
Hi Simon,
What do think about EU39XXX. Is that a safe number? Thanks
March 12, 2015 at 20:33
Not 100% safe – but has a good chance.
March 13, 2015 at 07:59
Hi Brit,
Interesting to see that for EU39,500 you did not say good chance, but said just there is a chance, but for EU39*** you said “good chance”. Is this because 39,500 was a precise number?
Or do you mean “good chance” for some range of EU39*** numbers, or more or less for all EU39*** numbers?
Thank you!
March 13, 2015 at 15:36
Wow – you are really trying to get in my mind and overthinking! 39001 has a better chance than 39599 – but no one (including me) can be precise at this point about the EU cutoff to say EXACTLY where the cutoff will fall. There are almost 7 months of interviews yet to happen!
March 12, 2015 at 18:13
as 2014 cut off was 9500 4 nepal, was expecting d same 4 this tym..bt no luck this tym
March 12, 2015 at 18:11

March 12, 2015 at 18:01
is there any chance for AS8880 for nepal
March 12, 2015 at 18:05
Probably not.
March 12, 2015 at 17:14
Hi dear Simon.
I’m from Iran with CN around 8200. I just saw the new VB. Do you think if i have a chance to get a interview or not? there are four month to the end of 2015’s VBs.
The best
March 12, 2015 at 17:48
Hesam, The nigger issue for Iranians is the chance and pace of AP. So – you might well go current (August), but if you get AP, there will not be enough time to clear AP. AP is more common for people that have worked for the Iranian government, military, or work in oil/energy industry.
March 12, 2015 at 15:29
Hi,
any chance to have an interview the case range AS 8500 – 9000. Tq
March 12, 2015 at 16:43
If you are not fropm Nepal or Iran then yes – you are safe.
March 12, 2015 at 15:07

March 12, 2015 at 12:26
My cn is 66 ** in the Africa. do you think that will always be my number programmed or lose hope now!
March 12, 2015 at 16:39
I think you mean 66XXX – with that number you cannot give up, but not 100% safe either – we will know more later….
March 12, 2015 at 11:46
Hi brit
y do u think there was dat drop in VB for AF this month and do you think there will b a great increase in the coming VBs in the coming months
March 12, 2015 at 16:38
There are 4 VBs left – and I expect them to add a total of 30/35000 in that time….
March 12, 2015 at 11:10
What do you think, is there any chance of current for EU in September?
March 12, 2015 at 16:35
No.
March 12, 2015 at 10:50
