Hi Britsimon,
First of all, Happy HOLIDAYS, And of course a great huge peaceful year 2020!
With my concern, upto now for some reasons, I haven’t been able to send any of the required docs to kcc but with great hopes, to do so soon as My CN 2020AF66xxx
1.ls there any penalty for sending Ds260 form and required docs at ago or it’s mandatory to first send the Ds260 then docs assuming kcc sent a notification two months back, to do so.
2.on Public charge , if I’m an online Marketing with a good reputation company, can it at some extent help me as I try to escape a Visa denial due to public charge?
Once again, Happy New Year 2020!
December 28, 2019 at 21:13
1. No problem.
2. No. That is a job you are leaving. How will that help?
December 28, 2019 at 15:24
Hi Brits,
I had a few friends who won green card last year and before last year. They didnt have to fill any i-134 and didnt have to find any sponsors regards public charge. By the way they were from EU. During the interview, they just ask if they have the place to stay and what are you planning to do and thats all. Maybe its requirement for poorer countries in africa or asia? I thought I will ask
December 28, 2019 at 21:14
No – the requirement can be applied in any country.
December 29, 2019 at 01:01
Hi brit,
My police certificate of where I lived before expires one month after my interview,do I still have to renew it???Thanks in advance.
December 29, 2019 at 02:21
Not normally.
December 29, 2019 at 02:25
Dear brit,
I was selectee from AS region with case 6xxx.my interview is going on last of january . I had a relative sponsor for dv process. Recently just a month before he had picked up his parents in USA. It would be a risk for us to choose him as a sponsor for us? Or it’s called normal?we have going 3 person from here and they have already 4 person in their family except their parents. Waiting for your kindly suggest..
December 29, 2019 at 05:15
I don’t know what you mean by he “picked up” his parents.
December 29, 2019 at 15:48
I mean my sponsor had recently sponsored his parents so if he again sponsor to us it might be a risk?
December 29, 2019 at 18:29
Yes it could be a risk. Choose another sponsor.
January 1, 2020 at 18:40
Hellow brit.
1) My sponsor living in USA has anual income of 20k dollars in w2 form is that income ok?
2)Can i show both bank balance ok 10k and sponsor at interview to demonstrate being public charge?
December 29, 2019 at 06:13
Hi Brit,
Happy Christmas!
I’ve searched for this question but so far no luck….
I understand for our DS260 we need to list countries visited. I have an upcoming work commitment to travel to Sudan, which is still subject to some US sanctions, though is no longer on the travel ban list. (I know the travel ban only applies to nationals, rather than visits, but I took it as an indication of US concern with particular countries….)
Have you heard any information on how this information on travel history is used/assessed? Do you think this visit might pose a problem?
I have a fully legitimate work reason for the visit, which I would be able to document, and it fits with my career history (I will be listing a lot of travel, including to Africa). The trip would be for one week. I have done no other travel to countries in the Middle East, Pakistan, Venezuela etc, and – from what I know – I think the other aspects of my application are solid.
I’d be grateful for your thoughts.
Thank you!
December 29, 2019 at 18:20
I don’t think any of that is a problem. Relax.
December 29, 2019 at 08:04
Hello Brit, is there a case AF18K which has already received the 2NL?
December 29, 2019 at 18:20
Probably.
December 30, 2019 at 17:58
It’s the end of the month, and I don’t always get 2NL. I am in the Democratic Republic of Congo. CN AF18730. Should I be worried?
December 30, 2019 at 18:50
Why are you still proceeding. I have already told you that you will be disqualified, and the only way to avoid that is to commit immigration fraud. You REALLY need to stop.

December 29, 2019 at 09:45
Dear Brit thanks for your support and help you provided us. Finally we got our visas, and we are happy. I have already paid the immigration fee for me and my family members. Is that okay that I (DV winner) enter US on January and my family members follow me in March? Will that cause any kind of problems?
Thank you Sir.
December 29, 2019 at 18:21
No problem.
December 29, 2019 at 11:09
Hi Brit,
I‘m a EU Selectee with a mid-high case number. My number should become current in summer. I have a few questions for you:
1. While applying for the DV Lottery, I lived in the US and did a internship on a J1 Trainee visa. I took new pictures for the lottery, but I had no opportunity to scan them properly. Therefore I reused the picture I already used for my J-1 visa. My look hasn’t changed at all ever since but I‘m really concerned now as I‘m reading of many denials because of old pictures. My picture is 10 months old.
2. How big are the chances that the officer will notice that? My picture is not years old. Do they scan pictures and find multiple entries? The J1-Visa will be in the same passport.
3. Could this really be a reason for a possible denial? I‘m now wondering whether I should just not proceed further as I‘m extremely afraid of a possible denial. What’s your suggestion?
Look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks,
EU-Selectee30xx
December 29, 2019 at 18:24
Whilst denial is possible, I would not think it likely in your case.
December 30, 2019 at 07:37
Thank you for your quick response. I didn’t provide much information on my person/background in my previous message. Therefore my question would be: why do you think a denial is less likely in my case? Please DON‘T get that question wrong. Your answer definitely calmed me down a bit as you’ve been trough this process before and other selectees share their experiences with you on a daily basis. I‘m just trying to find actually points to see that I‘m kind of safe to proceed in the process. Is it maybe that Europe has – in comparison – less denials or do you have any further information I possibly don’t have that you could share with me? Thank you.
December 30, 2019 at 16:15
Because your photo is still very recent.
December 29, 2019 at 13:35
Hi Simon, this is urgent!
A friend of mine dv19 from Morocco, his visa will expire in some days and travel agencies refused to buy him a ticket because his passport will expire in less than 6 months, so what shall he do ?! Normally the 6months rule is not applicable for immigrant visas?
December 29, 2019 at 18:27
I have no suggestions – he must get it sorted out!
December 29, 2019 at 14:53
Hi Brit, I just realized that in the Ds-260 in the Mailing Address part of the question
Is your Mailing Address the same as your Present Address?
I answered YES, does this affect anything?
December 29, 2019 at 18:27
That is fine.
December 29, 2019 at 16:52

Please. Again. BE RESPECTFUL of my time.
December 29, 2019 at 21:43
Hi Simon,
My number is AS14000 – expecting my number in the next visa bulletin. I sent my documents on the 24 October without a review confirmation until now – should I resend the document?
Thanks
December 29, 2019 at 23:59
Ask KCC.
December 29, 2019 at 21:45
Hello Brit, wish you great year
friend of mine made a mistake, he sent some documents with error in it.
question is: will he resend all the documents or just the corrected one?
Thank you!
December 29, 2019 at 23:59
All.
December 29, 2019 at 21:54
I’m EU 35xxx.
I sent DS260 in July and then unlocked it in September for address change.
Now I received my final USA address so will it be problem if I unlock it again and change USA address again?!
Regards and thank you,
I wish you all the best in New Year.
December 29, 2019 at 23:58
No problem.
December 30, 2019 at 04:47
Hi Simon,
In my DV-260, I have entered the dates of places i have lived incorrectly. I have been living in different places. But the dates i have entered in the DV-260 is different than the dates in my police certificates.
ie -: in my dv-260 it says that i hav lived in one place from 25th of june 2016 up to now.
But my police certificate says that i hav live in that place from 01st of May 2016.
and in the DV-260 they ask that whether i have lived in any other place since the age of 16. For that I have entered yes and had give the date as,
from 20th April 2013.
But actually I have been living at that address since 2007. and my police certificates also say that that i have been living there since 2007.
Will this be a problem? Should i have unlock my DV-260 and correct the mistakes i have made? Please tell me what I should do?
Thankyou
Best Regards.
December 30, 2019 at 16:12
I don’t think it will be a problem.
December 30, 2019 at 09:12
Hi..Brits..please guide me.Im a applicant and I applyed with work experience .I didnt do A/L and my spause also.my questions are..
1) Will I need to take O/L certificate ?
2) Will my spause need to take O/L certificate ?
Thankx
December 30, 2019 at 16:20
The principal selectee must meet the requirement. So take all documents for the winner. Are you certain your work experience meets the standard required??
December 31, 2019 at 03:03
Yes I think sir .
December 31, 2019 at 03:53
Hi Sampath,
In Sri Lanka embassy they did not require your O/L because the minimum education qualification is A/L with 3S passes (except english) or bachelors degree. However, if you are think to qualify through work experience you must demonstrate you have working in a Job Zone 4 and SVP Range 7 or more category job within the last 5 years. You can check your job is a qualified for the program, visit (https://www.onetonline.org/)
If you did not meet any of education or work experience needs please don’t proceed with your application because denial is more likely.
December 31, 2019 at 04:47
“I think” is not good enough. You will waste your money if you dont meet the qualification. So what work experience do you have?
December 30, 2019 at 09:36
Hi Brit, I’m DV2020 selectee and already submitted the DS260 and docs. I see people asked about some question regarding to list of countries visited in DS260. But as I remember there is no such a question. Is there any question like that? If yes I need to unlock my DS260 form.
December 30, 2019 at 16:21
Yes they ask about places you have lived.
December 30, 2019 at 16:31
Hi, yes they did ask about places i have lived and I listed all. But others had a question: Have you visited any other country in the past five years. We didnt have this question. We done 4 applications and nobody seen it. We are from Eu.
December 30, 2019 at 16:56
It’s a new question, recently added to the DS260. You can unlock and answer, or not unlock and take the interview with the DS260 as is. There is a risk that the CO delays you while you answer the new questions on another form.
December 30, 2019 at 17:02
Hi Brit, what is your advice? Should I leave it as it is or unlock it.?
December 30, 2019 at 18:53
Your choice.
December 30, 2019 at 09:42
Hi, I seen a few people asked have ever visited any other country in the past 5 years, but as I remember there was no such a question. Please let me know. Me and my wife were filling this for and there was no such a question. I am from EU.
December 30, 2019 at 09:56
Hi John, have you already submitted your forms? I don’t remember this question either. I have submitted my forms and the status is completed, but looking at the applications now, I see there questions NOT answered. Does anyone know if I have to unlock the forms and answer those questions?
December 30, 2019 at 16:22
You don’t have to unlock to answer the new questions, although unlocking won’t normally cause delay.
December 30, 2019 at 10:06
Hi Brit, I understood all questions in the DS 260 are mandatory. However, looking back at my forms now (status completed) I see few questions appearing new to me which are NOT answered. 1-1- How should I address this issue?
Questions like travel history of the past 5 years, previous email address etc., same questions not answered in all my forms, myself and my family members.
2- With the current VB progress, how do you foresee the chance for high case numbers? Mine is AS27k.
December 30, 2019 at 16:23
1. I just answered your question.
2. No problem.
December 30, 2019 at 10:30
Yoni
Thank u Britsimon for wt u r doing..
I am dv 2020 winner ma interview is on February. My sponser is ma sister but her husband told ma he will send his i-134 instead. Could he be a sponser? Thanks in advance…
December 30, 2019 at 16:24
Yes
December 30, 2019 at 11:22
Good morning, I hope you are well.
My date of the interview is January 22, and reviewing the form of the ds, I realized that there was a question in the part of the trip that was not answered, was left blank. Do you think I should write to the embassy to unlock the ds or I’m going to the interview with that? because someone told me that if I modified the ds, I ran the risk of changing the date of the interview.
December 30, 2019 at 16:25
You cannot unlock now.
December 30, 2019 at 12:02
Hi Simon
Please i need your help to clarify the below doubts:
1- My DV case is 2020AS2XXX, if my case low and it was current but i have submitted DS260 only two weeks ago there will be any problem?
2- shall i wait for Kcc to send email or i can send them the document since my case is low?
3- i have made a mistake of my mariage contract date in DS260 i have put 12 september 2014 but the right date is 11 september 2014, there is any problem in this typing mistake? Do i have to request kcc to unlock the DS form and correct it.
Thanks a lot for your help and support.
Kind regards
December 30, 2019 at 16:27
1. No
2. Wait.
3. No problem,no need to correct it.
December 30, 2019 at 15:51
Hello Simon!
I am very worried and I need your help…let me explain you my case…
I am a DV2020 winner with my son…I am going to have my interview next month in Guyana …but without my son because i just sent my documents to KCC in that moment because my son was not ready to travel to US but now he wants…Does he have still an oportunity to apply for his visa?
Do I Have to tell this to the officer that will attend me in Guyana?
Thanks and I wish the best for next year!
Sincerely,
Anthony
December 30, 2019 at 16:29
If you have not g=received your 2NL yet, you can contact KCC to unlock your DS260 and add his details.
If you have received your 2NL you must contact the embassy.
December 30, 2019 at 17:53
Dear Mr Simon.
Happy ending and happy begin!
What Happens if the passport insert in ds260 and sending to the kcc expire during the process before the interview?
Best Regards
Sofia
December 30, 2019 at 18:54
You renew the passport and take both old and new to the interview.
December 30, 2019 at 18:57
Hi Brit pls what does A NUMBER on the 1-134 form mean thanks
December 30, 2019 at 19:22
You probably don’t have an A number. The sponsor can write your DV case number.
December 30, 2019 at 20:09
Hellow brit happy new year. May this year brings you a lot of success and happiness.
I am here again for couple of quries hope will will lead me with genuine suggestions as always.
1)I have my interview scheduled on feb and searching for sponsor in America what should be the yearly earnings of his/her living in America who will be sponsoring me. I need precise and easy detail. U gave me a link of one of your Article from which i was unable to extract many infos.
2) Is there any alternet way rather than having a sponsor in USA?
3) What are the list of documents that i should carry with on day of interview?
4) what documents i should be asking from my sponsor? Can you please list them. I am literally having great trouble in understanding these things from sites. So please spare few minutes?
5)The police certificate that i submitted to kkc is experied and i am getting new one which police certificate i need to carry while going for an interview or i should carry both old and new?
Note: My region is AS and i am from Nepal, So please let me know if there are any country specific procedure?
December 30, 2019 at 20:31
You need to take some responsibility for your own case. I would not be helping if I tell you step by step – you will miss something – so – if you want this GC – do some studying!
With that in mind here are some answers.
1. https://britsimonsays.com/all-about-public-charge-affidavit-of-support-i-134/
2. See 1.
3. They will be specific to your case. Read the instructions!
4. See 1
5. Both.
These answers are more than enough if you put in some effort.
December 30, 2019 at 21:24
Dear Brit,.
I hope you are doing fine and i wish you a Happy New Year.
My CN is EU16XXX( a derivate from my wife).
Recently looking tough our DS260 application ( done on July 2019) i would like to make the following questions.
1. Unfortunately in the question ” Have you travel in any country within the last 5 years we did not check YES or NO ( even that our DS in the main page is Complete). Should we ask for unlock in way to proceed with the filling?
2. In the instruction of our embassy is requested a valid password at least 1 year prior to the issue of the visa. My passport expire in Mars 2021. Should apply for a new one and send again the scanned one to KCC?
looking forward for your kindly reply.

December 30, 2019 at 21:45
1. Strictly speaking, you don’t have to unlock and answer those questions, but since you are not current yet, you can without causing delays.
2. You will probably be current for March interview. So if you decide to renew you would need to send ALL your documents again, OR simply take old and new passports to the interview.
January 5, 2020 at 10:53
Dear Brit.
Thank you for you support.
1.I am going to sent both of the passport but for this should i inform kcc before the interview.
2.Moreover we sent the docs on the middle of November but till now we have not receive a email confirming the documents from kcc. Should we email tham?
Regards
Esio
January 5, 2020 at 19:12
1. No
2. If you want to.

Thank you for your kindly support.

December 30, 2019 at 22:34
Hello Brit, how are you doing?
I have a couple of questions, (hope these are the last ones):
1) I submitted the DS260 and made a mistake on an address of a school (I put another address) I attended when I was 13-16. I guess it’s not necessary to unlock just for that, but my question is: Should I say that at the interview to correct it to the consular officer? Or should I unlock know as I’m EU31XXX and I have a lot to wait?
2) I know that regarding confirmation of documents, KCC emails people to inform that they are correct, so I guess that with that email its is implicit that the DS260 has already been processed. I mean, KCC will review the documents after the DS is already processed. Am I right?
If not, how do we know that the DS is already processed?
Thank you Brit!
December 30, 2019 at 23:14
I’ve realized I put incorrectly some emails, so I will unlock the DS260 and correct it all.
Additionally, I forgot to ask:
3) In education, as “Course of Study” I put “Academic” in High School (ages 16-18) and “Academic” in Secondary Level Education (12-16) . Finally, in University I put “Mathematics” because, from what I understand, it’s like a Major in a Bacherlor’s degree in the USA (in my degree I could choose some subjects between Maths and Computer Science in the last year).
Is this right?
I’m from Spain (I tell you this because I’ve read a lot of your posts and found out you have family from here 🙂 , so maybe you know a little bit about the education here).
Thank you again, and sorry to bothering you so much.
December 31, 2019 at 01:57
3. Yes, that’s fine.
December 31, 2019 at 01:56
1. No need to correct.
2. Normally yes. No need to overthink.
December 30, 2019 at 23:56
Hi Brit, I followed your steps on unlocking my mom’s DS260, but received a following response:
///Thank you for your inquiry.
Only questions pertaining to the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery will be addressed via this email address. The request you have made does not relate to the DV program and KCC does not provide information relating to your request.///
Currently I’m working on a green card for my mom (this is an IV visa not DV) and I need to correct her first marriage date. What would be your advise on this situation? Is there a way to unlock DS260 in this case?
I really appreciate your help!!!
December 31, 2019 at 01:57
My advice is related to DV lottery cases only.
December 31, 2019 at 06:49
Hi Brit, I noticed a mistake in my child’s DS. In parents details, I have mistakenly put wrong city of birth for both father and mother, putting the child’s city of birth instead. Is that a big deal?
December 31, 2019 at 17:32
No
December 31, 2019 at 07:58
Hi Simon! Why there is such a big delay in documents processing by KCC? Although numbers up to EU14000 are current now, less than half of Russian CN12*** and _no one_ from CN13*** got their 2NLs for February, because their scans were processed too late. However, their scans were sent on time – in November or even October. And those who got 2NL for February, sent their scans in September or even August prior to KCC request. Now we see the same thing happening with the next bulletin – absolutely no scans were processed for CN14***,15*** and so on in December, so these numbers won’t get their interviews in March.
Thank you and Happy New Year!
December 31, 2019 at 17:35
The embassy in Moscow is probably implementing some additional check on documents received. Some embassies will do that, others won’t. Patience.
January 1, 2020 at 07:37
Yeah, they already have an additional check – we need to send our scans once more again before the interview. But I see the same thing happening in Turkey – almost no one from 12*** and 13*** got their 2NLs for now. And also in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and so on.
January 1, 2020 at 09:38
not sure what runs behind right now for you. The current for the EU is 14K and what are you complaining about?
December 31, 2019 at 08:54
Hi Britsimon,
My name is Jamlick from Kenya.I have a visa appointment for Jan 2020 and have already finalized on all the processes for the appointment however one of the applicant who is above 21yrs shall not be able to attend the interview to finalize to commitments he has locally. What is the process of rescheduling an interview for a person within a group?
Thank & Kind regards
December 31, 2019 at 17:37
You have to be clear to get a good answer. Is yours a DV lottery case? Who is the applicant – the winner, the spouse or a child?
December 31, 2019 at 18:28
Is your name Jamlick ???. Good start of my new year ?
December 31, 2019 at 09:08
Hello Brit..,
Merry Xmas and happy new year in advance. This how my worries goes my names are Fomat O’neal Navousse but on my qualification advanced level slip my names are Fomat Oneal Navousse will it cause any problem. Kindly waiting for your response.

Hi Simon,
As review my DS-260 again and again I found one mistake at my present address and other address since my 16 years of age. In fact, the present address is correct but length of living at present address is incorrect. For example, I live only two addresses in my life, my birth place and my wife’s house after marriage. I moved to live with my wife after marriage in April 2015 but mistakenly completed as in February 1986 (my birth date) because I thought that these places are close to each other, about 5km with the same district and province name, except for village and commune name. At the question of “Have you lived anywhere other than this address since the age of sixteen?” I answered “No” because I thought the same what I have mentioned above, close to each other with the same district and province name. My concerns are;
1. Will this mistake cause any risk to our interview result?
2. If yes, what the good way that I can do to mitigate or avoid the risk?
Note: I’m a derivative of my wife of DV2020 selectee.
Hope to hearing from you soon.
Regards,
December 31, 2019 at 10:15
Additional notice: our interview date is already scheduled and DS-260 of my wife, a principal applicant is correct.
December 31, 2019 at 17:39
As you are a derivative it won’t matter at all. No need to correct it.
December 31, 2019 at 15:02
Hi Simon,
I have a friend of mine who’s received the notification saying that he’s been selected, back in 2016. However, he never got called for the interview. My question is, how long should a candidate wait between the moment he’s been selected and the actual interview? How much time has to pass before a candidate knows for sure if he/she will be going to an interview or not?
Thank you for sharing.
Regards,
Loni.

That person lost his chance.
Every DV year has a deadline so for example DV2019 ENDED on 30 September 2019. DV2017 (probably your friends year) ended on 30 September 2017. There is nothing he can do about it now.

Dear Brit,
I am from Iraq. I did my interview on 29/12/2019, all my documents were complete just I did not include the phone number of the address in the united state that receive my Green card. Thus the officer asked me to send it by email. I did it today. But today the American consulate in Iraq attacked. Thus, Please do you think that all my documents are damaged or they were send it to visa consulate at the same day of the interview. Please I am really in a very bad mood, I am afraid that all documents to be lost.
Regards,
Dlpak

How on earth would I know the status of the mail delivered to the embassy on this day?

Dear, good morning? I wish you merry X -Mas and a happy new year. I hope you are celebrating the eve as well as the new year. Sorry for the disturbance.
I am a 2020 DV selectee from AF region with a CN 48xxx. I have a couple of questions.
1. I have sent documents as per the request of KCC. But I have unlocked the DS 260 to make some revisions and then re,-submitted it again. Am I supposed to resend my documents. Is that necessary to send the documents again since I reopened the DS?
2. When do you think my CN is going to be current?
Thanks a lot and happy new year!
December 31, 2019 at 17:44
1. Only if your documents changed.
2. 3 or 4 more VBs

Hello Mr. Britsimon
Many greetings u n your beloved family.
I am Dv 2020 winner and my case number being AF252xx. Obviously my case number is gonna be current in march 2020, unfortunately i couldnt even fill the DS-260 form because i hve one problem. The problem is there is one letter mismatch between my passport and all of my other documents including The entry..
In my passport it is written as ABDIKADIR MUHAMED HIRSI where as all other documents is ABDIKADIR MUHUMED HIRSI…
months back i hve asked u help and u suggested me to change the passport for the safe side.. but in our country the passport issue get changed whether you want to correct your old passport or u want new one u hve to hve certain reasons..
Only u can do it if u hve
1. Health issue that is declared to be unavailable in the region.
2.for diplomatic later.
3. Hve sponsorship later for abroad study
4. Later and invitation for taking part global confrence.
Otherwise u cant get it.
I hve tried to show them my dv winning notification for evidence but they rejected me.
I dont knw what to do because of that reason i am gonna lose this golden opportunity to make my dream to live in USA come true.
i am so worried to miss it.
I am loosing my hope
Pls sir for your experience help me…
Thanks for ur kindly and constant support and guidance for people.
May Almighty God bless u and ur family .
Hve good time..

It’s very simple. Get a new passport, or proceed with the one you have. The latter path carries some risks. Getting a new passport must be easier than you think because your four listed reasons are silly. You have a passport now, which of the 4 reasons got you that passport?
December 31, 2019 at 19:10
Happy new year to you and your family .
I just received my 2nl as you instructed
I have mistake with one of my name in my advanced level transcript and certificate instead of “Achille” is “Achile” but I have a bachelor degree in which my names are correct
1- can I take it to the embassy like that or do I need to an affidavit to prove is still me
My sponsor who is my cousin husband just told he have pb with he is bank account he won’t be able to provide me I-134 . I put he address in my Ds260 (for my green card )
2- will this affect my case now that I am looking for different sponsor
Thanks and happy New Year !
December 31, 2019 at 19:23
1. That should be OK.
2. No problem as long as you have a sponsor.
December 31, 2019 at 19:49
Thank you Mr brit
I still have this one :
I graduated since 2014 till then I am in the family business and I am doing some part time job related with my studies just to pay my bills . But in my Ds 260 I did not mentioned it because of not having enough documents to prove it . You know here in Africa we work like that all my boss say he can provide me with and internship certificate
1-Sir will my education requirements be OK ?
Also my in my last comment I say my girlfriend play her dv2019 that we where married (traditionally not legally she didn’t know ) you answer that there is a possibility that can denied me a visa even do she was not selected
2 – Sir what are the percentage they can denied me the visa? I am really worried I thought it will not cause a problem because she is not selected
Thanks
December 31, 2019 at 21:23
1. I don’t know. Check the embassy requirements if you can.
2. I can’t calculate a percentage. They have access to the information, and they may have concerns, or they may not. I simply cannot predict the outcome.
December 31, 2019 at 17:41
Happy New Year to you and your loving family sir..
December 31, 2019 at 18:19
Thanks for your reply
I got my passport 2 yrs back, that time the criteria was only to hve one ID card and just come early in the morning to make first for the waiting list..
But after that around one year back things get changed
Initially they said u hve to have birth certificate and district ID card and wait for 3 months to get it unless u proved that u need it urgently..
But later things became more difficult in addition to the above criteria u hve to hve clear reason to travel abroad…

What country is this?
December 31, 2019 at 20:21
good evening simon and happy new year my cn is 2020AF00030 *** I am the main winner I got married on July 20, 2019 after the results I filled my ds260 and that of my wife on December 11. my wife has a license in political right but on her ds260 at the level of education she put the baccalaureate because her diploma is with her father who lives in another city. Today his father came to us with his license diploma you think I must unlock his ds260 to put his license diploma or I leave with his license diploma at the embassy on the day of the interview, I leave and I continues with her baccalaureate and if we ever ask her if she did university what can she answer to the consular agent ?? I also made a mistake on my address where I will live in the United States should I unlock my DS260 for that too or can I manage this at the embassy?
December 31, 2019 at 21:25
I have no idea about thios diploma you mention – so use your own judgement.
If asked questions, you tell the truth. Really – that simple.
THe address you give in the USA is where the GC will be sent, so change it at the interview.
December 31, 2019 at 22:21
by completing her ds260 she put her smallest diploma (high school diploma) my wife went to university after 3 years at university she obtained a university diploma, by filling her ds260 we did not have this diploma there we put rather his high school diploma can that be a problem ??
December 31, 2019 at 23:25
She needs to describe the actual education completed. If she is missing documents, she needs to get replacement copies.

Hi BritSimon, I hate to ask you this question because it a very common one. My case# is AF69xxx, in a scale from 1 to 10, what are my chances to be interviewed? Many thanks
January 1, 2020 at 00:18
I answered on YT. Your number is high enough that you need to “wait and see”. There are months to go – so be patient.
January 1, 2020 at 11:26
Hi Simon
1-Since we now have the CEAC results, it is very weird that cases back to 5000 are showing NVC, despite the current
number is 12,000. Is this normal? I didn’t see issued at all from the samples I saw. Is this CEAC site not fully updated yet?
2-Is this the first year where the visa bulletin is way ahead of the documents review and interview scheduling?
3-I know cases in the 11,000’s who missed their interviews scheduling in Dec because they received the documents review email after the Dec visa bulletin was issued
January 1, 2020 at 11:48
Sorry, I am talking about Asia
January 1, 2020 at 16:39
1. Totally normal.
2. That’s not true in all cases.
3. It’s not surprising that there was a backlog really if you think about it. Relax.
January 2, 2020 at 09:55
Thanks Simon. I’ve almost confirmed that 9000-12000 didnt receive 2nl despite being current in Asia. Not sure about other regions
January 2, 2020 at 10:37
Thanks Elazab for your research and insight, I can confirm your assumption as I’m current in Asia this month #9xxx, Documents sent earlier on 20 Oct and received “Documents processed” email on 6th Dec. I was delighted by the VB progress but no 2NL yet and my case still at NVC despite being current and processed documents! Maybe the work slowed down due to holidays season.

Hi Brits, Happy new years.
My wife is a winner EU32xxx. One quick question. How do I obtain COURT RECORD FROM USA? I know thar I dont have to submit police certificate from USA. What about court record from USA? or its not necessary, they are able to access. 14 years ago I was In states. I was invited to the house party and got arrested there for drinking under 21 age and loud music. In europe you can drink from 18y. I just had to go to court and pay $100. There was nothing major and not big deal. but in ds260 I told the truth. I think they can check all my records from USA. thats why i mentioned this.
January 1, 2020 at 16:42
They have access to all records, so no need to send anything for USA.
January 1, 2020 at 16:42
No docs needed for uSA

Hi Brits and Happy New Year. My wife is the winner eu32xxx. Just one quick question. HO TO OBTAIN COURT RECORD FROM USA? I know that you don’t need to obtain police certificate record from USA because they can see everything. 14 years ago I was in states. My friend invited me to the house party we all been under 21 years old and got arrested for drinking under age. In Europe you have to be 18 years old to drink. I had to go to court and pay 100 dollars Fine. In DS 260 I told the truth because there is no point of lying. Its not a big crime and I think they can access to anything in USA.
