Hello Brit,
Currently i am living in out of my home country and i have mention in DS260 i will be interview in my Home Country but the current address is in DS260 is not the home country. i am thinking i will go my home country only for my visa interview. is there any problems you can see.
January 16, 2020 at 14:44
They will ignore your embassy selection and instead they will pick the embassy according to your current address.
January 16, 2020 at 20:00
But I want to Interview in my home country because my spouse and child is living in my Home country. In that case what I need to do
January 16, 2020 at 20:40
Contact KCC and ask them to schedule in your home country, giving an explanation of why you need that.
January 17, 2020 at 10:06
My Case is not yet current and will be in current in 2-3 VB as per your prediction earlier. Do you think i need to contact KCC to schedule my interview in Home Country before my case got current or after i will get current. My case is from AS95** Nepal.

BEFORE!
January 16, 2020 at 10:00
Hi Simon,
Visas picked up yesterday. Right you were – patience. We depart the UK end of Feb. Contribution made to the ‘project’ for your daughter, or get yourself a drink. Are you still compiling individual stories from DV winners? If so, to where should I send mine? Thanks again,
Rich
January 16, 2020 at 14:47
Thanks for the support Rich. Best of luck in the USA!

Hi Simon, I entered the US as a permanent resident on 08-24-2019, exited on 12-05-2019 and have not received my physical green card. Returning to the US shortly, flying BA, the immigrant visa expired, but has text on “Upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year”. On the way out of the US, in Seattle, BA had some trouble allowing me to board, stop over in London, but let me through (my passport requires a transit visa for UK, but as US permanent resident no transit visa is required). My question, do I need a “Transportation letter / Boarding foil” ($575), or is the IV in the passport sufficient for boarding, and entry to the US? Flying BA again. Or should I call USCIS?
January 16, 2020 at 14:48
You should not have a problem. The endorsed visa is acceptable to show as proof you are an LPR.

Hello sir my sponser(uncle) had sponsered my aunt n his son in 1999 n sponsered his future daughter in law in 2019 April..now in my affidavit do he have to include info about sponser of his daughter in law?as there are only two places for previously submitted affidavit of support
January 16, 2020 at 14:52
He can list the most recent. However, it may be better to have a different sponsor, because of the existing support obligation.
January 16, 2020 at 15:19
Thank u for the information sir
January 16, 2020 at 15:43
Hi Simon,
There was an article talking about new USCIS laws that will lead to deportation for legal immigrants if they make certain mistakes which includes registration with sss.
Is this fake news?
https://www.nbc-2.com/story/41563323/new-green-card-laws-2020
January 16, 2020 at 17:00
No – not fake news. These are all **existing** rules which could bar someone from obtaining citizenship and possible lead to deportation.
January 16, 2020 at 16:22
Hi MR. Simon,
thanks for all your supports,
My case number is AS22xxx, I submitted all documents for all my derivatives and it is verified by KCC, and selected that my derivates will come with me to U.S now
1. can I unlock ds260 and select that my spouse and son will join me U.S later(next coming years)?
if yes
2. will KCC send all recieved documents(mine and derivatives) to embassy or only my document?
3. will my derivatives invited to interview with me? if it is selected that they join me later.
January 16, 2020 at 17:03
1. Yes
2. The file iselectronic – so the embassy will have access to everything.
3. They might be listed on the 2NL, but you do not have to take them if they are not applying for the GC.
I hope you understand that getting them Gree Cards later will be more expensive and time consuming.
January 16, 2020 at 18:23
Dear Brit.
Just asking, as i have been informed from other forums the confirmation for numbers EU15.5K and above did not receive a confirmation from KCC regarding the documents.
So it mean that next VB will not reach 15.5k?
Regards
January 16, 2020 at 18:26
You cannot make that assumption based on the feedback you have collected.
January 16, 2020 at 18:33
Mr. brit
what is the minimum annual income required to sponsor for a marriage-based (only husband and wife) green card ?
January 16, 2020 at 19:09
My scope is specific to DV lottery.
January 16, 2020 at 19:42
Hi Brit
I am Af32***
I emailed Kcc like you advised on whether I should send documents so this was their reply.
Thank you for your inquiry.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
Your DS-260 has been processed. You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing. Please follow the instructions in the email. Interviews are ……..
Q) What does it imply Brit???
January 16, 2020 at 20:39
“You should have received, or will soon receive, an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.”
January 16, 2020 at 20:53
Thanks fo responding brit
So you mean I should wait and exercise patience????
January 16, 2020 at 20:51
What is the best month to check your status in Africa?
January 16, 2020 at 20:55
Please I will be in Dubai next month, can I take my interview there or better still i need to be in Africa precisely Ghana for my interview?
January 16, 2020 at 21:22
Your interview will be scheduled according to your current home address as shown in the DS260.
January 16, 2020 at 21:42
Hello! Today they have emailed 21K numbers which documents are all OK while those with 15K to 17K emails have not received any explanation whatsoever for this situation
January 16, 2020 at 23:18
I have NEVER said that documents processing has anything to do with case numbers. As I have explained (and applying some simple common sense) people submit on different days, and the processing needs for different cases vary.
January 17, 2020 at 07:16
Hello,Brit! My cn is 38k from in Africa, when is my interview likely to be scheduled!
January 17, 2020 at 17:04
Well the next VB is about to be published – so wait and see what that shows.
January 17, 2020 at 05:41
Hello! I have small doubt. Once I submit my DS-160, when do I have to email my supporting documents to KCC and how long will take for KCC to get an interview slot for me from the day I send out the document? Thanks
January 17, 2020 at 17:03
1. You mean the DS260??
2. The processing time for the DS260 and documents vary by case.
3. You will not be scheduled until your processing is complete AND your case is current.
4. These are really basic questions, showing you have not bothered to read anything such as the lottery guide, or the FAQ. If this is important to you, put in some basic effort!
January 17, 2020 at 09:22
Hi Brit,
When I try to login to KCC it says “The information you entered doesn’t match our records” I double check all the information and realize what I completed are true just as they are on the documents.
What can I do?
Thank you

January 17, 2020 at 10:03
Good afternoon!
My name is Jura Sana.
My Case number: 2020EU00008@@@
12/19/2019 My family and I were interviewed by the consul, during which we were refused. Unfortunately, I was not issued any instructions with the reason for the refusal to indicate the article number in this letter.
When filling out the application for participation in the Greencard DV2020 lottery, an error was made in the application. The year of my birth was “1983” instead of “1984”. This happened due to the fact that the questionnaire was filled out on the last day of accepting applications and there were frequent failures on the site. Due to failures, the questionnaire could not be sent several times. As a result, my husband was in a hurry to fill out the questionnaire as quickly as possible, and this error occurred.
On the DS-260 I indicated the correct date of birth.
But after the interview, my entrance in 260 changed to 1984.
For my part, I guarantee that this error is not intentional, in order to send several profiles to my name and thereby increase the chances of winning. This is a technical mistake made unintentionally. Tell me what to do, is there a chance? Thanks.

January 17, 2020 at 17:15
Same pattern we have seen for the past several months.
January 17, 2020 at 14:46
Hello Brit
Does a DV lottery winner has to file form I-485 to issue the green card ?
January 17, 2020 at 17:19
The I-485 is used in cases where the applicant already is i the USA and wishes to adjust status while in the USA.
January 17, 2020 at 18:36
When will the VB for March be published?
January 17, 2020 at 19:33

January 18, 2020 at 04:20

January 17, 2020 at 23:48
Hi ? Brit
Regarding Egypt a case number AF 74xxx how looks? Is there any hope to be published in the vb this year ?
Regards
January 17, 2020 at 23:59

January 18, 2020 at 12:07

January 18, 2020 at 00:15
Hi Simon
I hope you are well, I have work in my country and i should stay more than 12 months, so can you tell me which one form apply to avoid problem when I will back in here, now I am in USA . Thanks to answer my question
January 18, 2020 at 04:23
You need to file an I-131 – re-entry permit.
January 18, 2020 at 04:58
Hi Brit,
An error occurred during my original entry in the date of birth instead of 1/2/1990 I entered 1/1/1990. I corrected the error in the Ds-260 with the correct date of birth as 1/2/1990. Will that affect me during interview though am not yet scheduled? Kindly advise what to do. Thanks
January 18, 2020 at 05:12
No, that will not normally cause a problem.
January 18, 2020 at 05:41
Thanks Brit, I asked because someone just said they were denied visa because of the errors in date of birth.
January 18, 2020 at 19:41
I said “normally” not “never”.
January 18, 2020 at 06:50
Hey Simon,
How are you this 2020. We haven’t engaged for a while.
I just noticed these new questions below.
Do I need to unlock though since my number is current (AF30K) and already received the READY FOR SCHEDULE email.
All the answers are NO though.
Have you travelled to any country in the past 5 years
Are you the spouse, son, or daughter of an individual who has engaged in terrorist activity, including providing financial assistance or other support to terrorists or terrorist organizations, in the last five years?
Have you used a different phone number and email address in the past 5 years
Have you ever been removed or deported from any country?
Do you wish to provide information about your presence on any other websites or applications you have used within the last five years to create or share content (photos, videos, status updates, etc.)
January 18, 2020 at 19:44
You don’t HAVE TO unlock, and with such a low case number you probably should not. With a high case number people would be better unlocking.
January 18, 2020 at 23:57
Thanks you so much Simon
January 19, 2020 at 00:02
Oh and on the below:
The documents of support (I-134, W2, 1040, Photo ID, Recent payslip and bank statement); Can my sponsor send scans so that I print them out or it’s better if they send to me the original signed copies by mail.
Thank you always
January 19, 2020 at 00:21
Scans are fine.
January 18, 2020 at 08:02
Hi Simon I haven’t heard back from KCC after submitting my documentation in November. I estimated my case number will get current in June/July. Should I contact KCC since the confirmation email states you should contact KCC if you haven’t heard anything from them after 6 weeks?
January 18, 2020 at 19:46
You can email them if you want.
January 18, 2020 at 11:47
Sir
How many days before of visa expiry we have to enter USA?
January 18, 2020 at 20:07
Before the visa expires. Just that.
January 18, 2020 at 14:02

January 18, 2020 at 20:25
Hi Simon, my case number is eu31xxx. I have a lot of relatives in Usa, but I dont want to ask for sponsor me.Can my dad sponsor me? He is a millionaire in europe???
January 18, 2020 at 20:33
No. He may as well be a millionaire in Mars.
January 18, 2020 at 20:41
Ok, but if my dad will transfers lets say half of million euros in my account and I will provide proof of everything, would that be a problem. My relatives and friends knows that my family much richer than they are in USA, so it will be stupid to ask for sponsor me.
January 18, 2020 at 21:42
That should be accepted.
January 18, 2020 at 20:26
Hi brit,
My date of birth is wrong in my matric education certificate and i dont have any date of birth written in my higher school certificate and its very hard to correct it in matric certificate . Do u think it will cause a rejection ?
January 18, 2020 at 20:45
Adil. You have asked me over 50 questions. You have asked about problems you have with just about every single document you could have. Your Nationality is from a country ineligible, but your place of birth is noted as Saudi Arabia. The combination of all these inconsistencies with your documents creates risk – because it seems like you are creating documentation out of thin air. So – it is poitless for me to try and pinpoint the document that causes the greatest risk in your case.
January 19, 2020 at 13:39
Dear brit ,
My birth certificate is from Saudi Arabia and i don’t have issue in BC and police certificate but as i said i have wrong dob in my education document do u think it will create problem even though the dob on passport and birth certificate are correct
2 : please can u tell if the person hold nationality is ineligible country and birth is placed on eligible country does that already makes risk for visa ?
January 19, 2020 at 18:40
Again, it seems like every document in your life has some confusion or mistake. Any one of them individually may be OK, but the number of problems added together suggests something is not right about your case – and that is the risk.
January 18, 2020 at 21:51

Hi Brit,
I have submitted my ds260 and further documents but I didn’t realize a simple mistake that i made while writing my father’s name on my ds260. It’s his middle name actually, on my birth certificate, his name is “Buidole” but on my ds260 i wrote down “Biudole”. Do you think it’s necessary to unlock ds260 and correct this? Do you think it would create a problem with my interview?
Case no. OC20**
January 19, 2020 at 00:02
No
January 19, 2020 at 01:59
Good morning Mr Brit, I would like to find out from you , should I be asked , what would you be doing in America if granted your American Visa . However, I wrote on my ds – 260 form that am an insurer.
Secondly, I did my police report on the 8th of August 2019 and will expire in six months time ie 8th February 2020 and my interview date is first week in February 2020 but before the 8th February 2020.
My worry therefore is, if they decide to count it on month by month basis without considering the actual expiring date ie 8th February of the report, then it will be considered as having expired, hence , am contemplating doing another one to be on the safer side.,
Your great advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
January 19, 2020 at 17:41
1. Obviously the first question is about you. So you give YOUR answser.
2. Renew the police cert for the interview.
January 19, 2020 at 02:22
Hi boss,
We got also our affidavit of support ( I -134) in 2019 from our sponsor before our interview was called off and rescheduled now . Please are we suppose to get a new one to replace last year’s one ?
Grateful for your assistance at all times.
Thanks .
.
January 19, 2020 at 18:23
Yes, update it.
January 19, 2020 at 02:33
Hello Sir,
My case number is xxxx8x5x. I haven’t received 2NL till date . Upon enquiry by mail with KCC asking if my documents was satisfactory they said they don’t have authority to reveal or refuse the case .Only counselor during interview can do that which means interview will be scheduled but I am confused with current visa bulletin number . I am worried now . Will my case be scheduled for interview . Please advice
January 19, 2020 at 18:25
Have a look at the case number you provided. What am I supposed to understand from that?
You clearly did not ask if your documents were satisfactory since their response is the answer to a different question.
January 19, 2020 at 09:31
Dear Brit,
I am EU17xxx, no response for the approve
of the documents, i have submited tham in october. This mean no hope for interview?
January 19, 2020 at 18:32
You can contact KCC and see if they are satisfied with your documents.
January 19, 2020 at 10:26
Hi Brit, i won DV2020 green-card and my case is current just waiting for 2NL but one of my name in my academic certificate was misspelled by just one letter with other documents. the other names are very okay, will this cause any problem sir?
January 19, 2020 at 18:34
Probably not.
January 19, 2020 at 11:16
Hi sir
In my original 2020dv entry, i made a typing mistake, i wrote my surname like this
MOHAMMED ALI ERIDI but in my ds 260 i correct it as it’s writen in all my documents
MOHAMMED ALIERIDI
Is this make a problem the day of interview.
Thanks
January 19, 2020 at 18:35
Usually not – unless they suspect fraud.
January 19, 2020 at 12:00
Hi Brit, I sent the ds260 with information from social media in October. Do I have to unlock it to answer new travel questions?thanks!
January 19, 2020 at 18:36
If your number is low, then don’t unlock. If your number is higher – then unlock and answer the questions (to avoid the chance of delay after the interview).
January 20, 2020 at 01:43
What if the number is 14k Asia; unlock?
January 20, 2020 at 03:23
Yes.
January 20, 2020 at 08:31
Sorry Brit, my cn is EU 289XX Thanks !
January 20, 2020 at 23:03
I would unlock.
January 21, 2020 at 06:38
Thanks for your help Brit, I requested unlocking 🙂
January 19, 2020 at 12:45
Hi Simon,
Do I need to change my DS260 if I submitted it before I took a trip to the US with esta? Should I unlock DS260 and add that information?
January 19, 2020 at 18:38
No need.
January 19, 2020 at 19:21
Hi,
Im one of the 2020 lottery winners. i have an urgent question, please.
1.My sponsor (he owns a company in the US) asks me along with I-134 form, what other documents should be included. Can you list them so I directly tell him please?

January 19, 2020 at 19:28
Hi,
1. My sponsor will sponsor only me in 2020 but he has sponsored others in 2019. He is a business owner. Do you think that will affect , or some problem will cause at interview?
2. If my sponsor sends me now the documents, and later I find another sponsor who i think will be better, is there a process how to remove the first sponsor, or I simply take at interview the documents of the first sponsor ? Would that be a problem if firstly I have one sponsor, then I find another one?
January 19, 2020 at 19:34
1. I don’t know.
2. You present a sponsors documents at the interview only.
January 19, 2020 at 23:47
Hi Simon, my case number is EU35xxx. Im with F1 visa and I chose AOS. I’m planning to go back in my country in summer. Do you know when is my number going to be available if you can estimated?! Thank you.

January 20, 2020 at 02:53
Hi, my name is Charles and I sought your advice yesterday in connection with the 2019 affivat of support replacement since my interview was postponed to February 2020.
In fact, I spoke with my sponsor but he told me plainly that he could only update it around April or may 2020 since details of tax and other documents could only be gotten around April or may 2020
Thanks.
January 20, 2020 at 05:18
Hello Sir
I have send documents and ds260 already. I have checked the visa bulletin and my case will be current on February. However, i have not heard from KCC. What shall i do?
Thanks
January 20, 2020 at 22:59
When did you send documents?
January 21, 2020 at 15:30
October 24 and got reply December 4 that I should expect the 2nl soon but haven’t received it yet. I also mail them asking about my case being current but still haven’t received my letter yet and Kcc reply saying my case isn’t current.
What should I do next?
January 21, 2020 at 18:49
Case number?
January 21, 2020 at 20:34
On Nov. 27, 2019
January 21, 2020 at 21:08
OK – that was probably too late for last month, but should be possible for 2NL this month (March interview). See if you get the 2NL by the end of January.
