Hello Brit,
I am closely following the election as it is going in the USA and with JB’s chance of winning more clearer, I wish to know from you if it will be a wise decision for me to start making booking arrangements with the aim of traveling by mid January 2021.
November 6, 2020 at 23:50
I will be addressing that tomorrow – but basically, no. Remember Biden will come to office on Jan 20. It may be some days or even weeks before he rescinds the immigrant ban. So unless you have some reason to travel in mid January, wait.
November 6, 2020 at 23:58
Even though the ban expires on Dec 31st 2020?
November 7, 2020 at 00:10
Yes – why take the risk of booking now when Trump will still be able to extend the ban. Maybe he won’t – but why do you need to rush?
November 7, 2020 at 00:14
Hi Brit, I’m I missing something? I stop receiving email from you for some time now, or did i unsubscribe unknowingly to my self?
November 7, 2020 at 00:22
No – there is not much to say at the moment.

Hello Simon,
Is it true that no interviews of DV2021 selectees are happening?
I hope not because bulletin numbers are growing…
I would like to add that I appreciate all help you give to people you basically dont know. Thanks for your service!
November 7, 2020 at 20:12
So far no DV2021 interviews have been scheduled or taken place.

Hello Brit,
Shoud I address the police cert to the residing country’s embassy or directly to KCC?
Your kind response is appreciated..
November 7, 2020 at 20:12
Simply follow the instructions on the reciprocity page. There are country specific instructions.

Hello Simon!
What do you think is the chance of the VB numbers becoming CURRENT for Europe for DV2021?
Cheers!

I don’t know.
November 7, 2020 at 11:34
Hello sir
I have a question
I am married and have one child under 21 i can fill the dv form but my wife and the child do not have a passport and as you know passport required for my wife, do you have any suggestion what should i do?
The reason of not having passport is not any exemptions that are mentioned in the form.
Thanks
I already posted a comment but i couldnt find it
November 7, 2020 at 20:18
Derivatives (spouses and children) do not need a passport for the DV entry.
November 7, 2020 at 13:09
Dear Brit,
Hope you are doing good. I would be very grateful if you could please provide an answer to these questions re. Dv 2022. I received my visa in September. And my visa is printed on the passport.
1.Am I allowed to apply fo dv 2022 lottery as well? 2.Will my passport number get notified?
3. In case I will get the chance to go before expiration of my visa (hoping there won’t be an extension) and if I win 2022 as well wouldn’t it be unfair for another applicant and wouldn’t there be any legal issue for me?
November 7, 2020 at 20:19
1. Yes
2. I don’t know what you mean.
3. No legal issue.
November 7, 2020 at 14:09
Any update DV2020 sir
Will the reserve visa (9095) will for the remaining lower case number.
November 7, 2020 at 20:19
Possibly – we really don’t know.
November 7, 2020 at 14:32
Hi sir , please help me on
From the VB 2020 , May was 45,321 .That’s the highest number in that year and june to August became CURRENT ..
So, if my CN is AF60000 which is higher than 45321 but didn’t show in the VB, Does it mean I’m not qualify for Visa ?
Help..
November 7, 2020 at 20:21
That is not what that means. Current means all numbers had a chance, but the COVID closures and bans affected processing, so now there are lawsuits to try to protect some of the DV2020 winners. Please read my recent articles.
November 7, 2020 at 16:10
Hi Brit,
My partner and I have been together for going on 9 years, have a child (2) and own multiple properties together. We have been engaged for almost 2 years. Would we get denied if we got married after viewing the results of the DV lottery but before submission of the DS 260?
November 7, 2020 at 20:21
No
November 7, 2020 at 16:49

Hello brit!
I’m a dv21 winner, I have a question about DS260 regarding this specific question (do you have any specialized skills or training, such as firearms, explosives, nuclear, biological, or chemical experience?)
I answered No to this question knowing that I passed a one year MILITARY NATIONAL SERVICE in my country, does my national service have anything to do with this question?
November 7, 2020 at 20:24
It’s a simple question – have you had training in any of those things.
November 7, 2020 at 18:24
Brit ,
I’m fb 2021 As 13500 . I didn’t receive my email yet . Is this a high number
November 7, 2020 at 20:26

Hello Brit
1) the proc will end in dec ( if not extended) any how hopefully biden will take it out
But what if the embassies are still closed and not resuming back the visa services??
2) And is AS 11xxx considered good even if we lost jan?
November 7, 2020 at 20:28
1. We still need them to be working – so we have to wait and see what they are doing.
2. It got a little worse with Biden’s win.

Hi Brit, hope you’re doing well and enjoying this day of new president!
I have a question: I am a Montenegrin passport holder (Europe) while my wife is an Albanian passport holder.
I am about to play the lottery and my question is this:
1) Since I can make 2 entries – is the proper way for my wife to play as my derivative, and when I apply for her as main applicant, should I make her country of chargeability as Montenegro or Albania? (She only has Albanian passport)
What do you suggest?
Thank you for your time.
November 8, 2020 at 05:28
When you apply you choose the country of birth for the main applicant. NOT the derivative.
November 7, 2020 at 21:55
Hello Brit. Unlike the years, this year at the level of the confirmation number, The figure that comes after the year has changed twice, at the start of the Dv 2022 registration it is 20226 *******, for some time this ‘is 20227 *******. the figure after year has changed two, I have seen in previous years it changed several times. is it due to the low number of registrants this year?
November 8, 2020 at 02:26
That doesn’t mean anything of significance.
November 7, 2020 at 23:07
Hello Mister Simon. First of all I thank you for this guidance. May God bless you.
My question is: I registered to the DV but I selected unmarried, I’m married with two daughters but I don’t have the marriage certificate that’s why I didn’t mention it. What would be the solution if I were selected?
Thanks
November 8, 2020 at 02:23
Did you include your daughters on the entry?
November 8, 2020 at 23:16
No, I didn’t.
November 8, 2020 at 23:29
So then there is no possible way to save your case. You should not waste any time or money on the application. Honesty is really important in this process, and the rules are very clear.
November 7, 2020 at 23:31
Hi Brit,
I am DV2020 winner from Ghana. My casa number is AF460xx. I received ready to be scheduling email. Will I have the chance in getting an interwiew from the 9095 visas reserved. Thank you

November 8, 2020 at 00:34

November 8, 2020 at 02:22
Yes – you can update that at the interview.
November 8, 2020 at 19:27
Thanks Simon!
November 8, 2020 at 02:57
Brit, If trumph dies not extend d travel ban, it will automatically get cancelled on Dec 31st rite? So Biden has nothing to do with immigration ban after he is appointed in January as immigration ban will be expired on Dec 31st?? Pls explain it..
November 8, 2020 at 05:37
Trump might extend it. If he does Biden can remove it on Jan 20.
November 8, 2020 at 05:49
How long is the I-134 Appidavit Statement valid from the date the sponsor signs it?
November 8, 2020 at 23:30
You should not get it until you get the 2NL, because the supporting documents should be up to date.
November 8, 2020 at 06:35
Hi Brit,
While completing the DV Lottery DV-2022 application form for some of my relatives I made a mistake by missing one letter/character in the last name. The correct last name is Bordian but I typed Bodian. How bad is my mistake in case if the application will won next year?
I noticed the mistake on the Confirmation number page at the “Entrant name”
I believe I completed the passport section correctly as I remember where also there is First and last name.
Does the “Entrant name” reflect what is typed in the very first Section 1? Or does he “Entrant name” reflect what is in the international passport section?
Thank you,
November 8, 2020 at 23:33
It doesn’t matter. See if you get selected, if you are, you will have a chance to correct this during the next phase.
November 8, 2020 at 06:48
Hi Simon,
I’m a Ghanaian but born in Cairo, Egypt. I currently reside in Ghana and about to apply to the DV-2022 lottery and wanted to find out if i could charge my country of eligibility to Ghana instead of Egypt even though Egypt is not banned. iv tried in previous dv lotteries but failed.
Best regards
November 8, 2020 at 23:33
No. Your eligibility is based on place of birth.
November 8, 2020 at 07:31
Sir
In my ds 260 I have entered capital letters in additional email address and all other social media accounts. Is that okay . Or should I have to unlock
November 8, 2020 at 07:50
Sir I’m sorry it’s not the additional email address it’s the email address that I have used within last five years.so I have typed it in capital letters.
November 8, 2020 at 23:34
Doesn’t matter.
November 8, 2020 at 07:35
Hi Brit, hope you’re well. I’m a DV 2021 winner and my CN is AS33XXX. However, I still didn’t get the email from KCC to submit the documents. Any idea on how long it’ll take?
November 8, 2020 at 23:35
A long time. Remember you cannot be interviewed until your case number is current, and your number is very high.
November 8, 2020 at 08:34
Hi Brit,
Do you have any news regarding the Greg’s and charles’ lawsuit challenging the ban? It can help dv2021 to be processed…
Thank so much for all your help!
November 8, 2020 at 23:36
No news to share.
November 8, 2020 at 08:40
Hi Brit,
Now that Biden finally won and I know that you heard that question a lot in your last video but I’m wondering if my CN AF35XXX is safe ? I know that there are many parameters in place this year and nothing is guaranteed… But I just want to have your guess ?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

November 8, 2020 at 10:04
Hi sir, I m from Nepal. If muslim ban is removed after jan 20, Does it also affect the high case number of 2021 from Nepal which is not muslim country?
November 8, 2020 at 12:54
It’s not about your country, it’s about your region. Nepal and Iran and Yemen are in the same region AS. So it will affect all the countries of the region no matter muslim or not muslim countries. It will affect Nepal and all AS,AF and even EU will be affected if the muslim ban will be removed. And Biden said he will remove it the first day he come to the White House. So good news for the winners from these countries. Good luck for all.
November 8, 2020 at 23:41
Removing the Muslim ban affects NON banned countries.
November 8, 2020 at 10:31
Hello, If someone has got residence (passport) of two different country.
is it possible to apply for each passport to DV-2022
November 8, 2020 at 23:45
No – because the lottery is based on place of birth, not passports held.
November 8, 2020 at 10:42
Hi Brit,
I have been selected as a 2018 DV lottery winner. But because of presidential travel ban my visa never got issued at the time. Despite the fact that all my family members were US citizens I got waiver, instead of visa. however, Trump presidency has come to as end, how much is it probable to win if I file a case and ask them to verify and/or reassess my 2018 DV case?
Your advice in this regard would be appreciated.
Regards,
Vaheed
November 8, 2020 at 23:46
DV2018 cases have NO WAY to be processed.
November 8, 2020 at 10:50
Hi Britsimon,
Firstly I want to say a MASSIVE thank you for all the incredible hard work you put into providing information for all us lottery winners. You have been such a source of relief and comfort in such a horrendous year and I applaud you!
My question is- I was thankfully able to sit my DV interview in Sydney thanks to being part of the Curtis lawsuit. I have until March to activate it but because of the immigration ban possibly being extended due to a Trump win I hadn’t booked my flights yet.
Do you think after a Biden win I could safely book flights now or is there a potential the ban could still be extended?
I’m thinking late Jan as that gives me plenty to time in case of flight cancellations etc.
Thank you again and thankfully 2020 is looking a whole lot brighter!
Bell ☺️
November 8, 2020 at 23:48
Trump could extend the ban, of course. But Biden will probably remove the ban in January. I would actually suggest waiting for a while, delaying until as late as possible. Why rush to the USA when 20 million are unemployed.
November 8, 2020 at 10:54
Good morning Sir ,
Dv 2021 AS10998 , i am not from the countries ban , i submitted my DS260 on 11 June 2020 , i received my documents email on 30 sep 2020 , i submitted my documents on 1 OCT 2020 ,as a matter of fact that MR JOE BIDDEN won the election (thank GOD) .
1 – When do you expect my interview will take place ?
2 – how long does the police certificate to be expired?
3 – Is there any problem if i got my I 134 from now or i should get it before interview directly?
4 -can we suppose that KCC can estimate to a certain extent the cut off in Asia if yes can we assume that KCC will not ask for documents from the people who have a risky case numbers based on the assume of KCC , after the winning of MR BIDEN ?
5 – Could you do a new video about analyzing THE case numbers based on the victory of MR BIDEN?
6 – is there a chance for the recent lawsuit to stop the ban before 31 Dec 2020?
Sorry for disturbing you with a load of questions and thank you for your permanent assistance for us , really you are doing the best for us , GOD bless you and your family Sir , hoping seeing you in USA to do our duty as it should be.
November 8, 2020 at 23:51
1. I don’t know – but not for several months.
2. They are considered valid up to 12 months.
3. Wait until you get the 2NL. It is far too early.
4. No you cannot make assumptions like that.
5. I have already explained in a recent video how AS region would be affected by a Biden win.
6. That would not make any difference to you in any case.
November 8, 2020 at 11:06
Hello My passport has expired and the post-election crisis delayed my procedure for renewing my passport. Tomorrow I have to go to make the loans and others after it will take 2 weeks for me to receive my passport. And Tuesday is the end of dv2022. Can I register with my old passport using this month as the expiration date?
November 8, 2020 at 23:51
No.
November 8, 2020 at 14:20
Hello Brit!
I had a nose job, I also have a hijab in my passport photo. So my face is a little different from my passport photo.
Do I need to do something about it? For example, change my passport?
I won dv 2021 and i’ve sent my civil documents for kcc.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Brit,
I am a DV2020 winner and received my US Visa in September.
I, like most of the people in my situation are very confused inf the ban will be extendet and in that case when will be canceled by the President, considering the visa expiration in March.
Moreover during this last month i have to inform leave my rent apartment cause i need to inform the owner 2 month before i leave. The same problem is with my job cause from my Contract I need to inform tham 3 month before i leave. If the ban is extended i will be in a very difficult situation considering also the situation of Covid etc.
Do you thing that the ban will be extended ?

I have dual citizenship, can i apply two times for DV lottery
What do you suggest?
Thank you for your time.

Hello Mr Brit,
I have a problem..I am the principal applicant..when I completed the ds260 I made a mistake off putting the military date correctly..I put it as it was written in the document that i received after finishing the service at that time, but when I applied for the military record to send it to KCC, I got it and the date when I started the military was correct, but the finishing date was Not correct,, also in the ds 260 I wrote uncorrectly my spouse’s mother name which is wrong with 2 words more.. Should I unlock the ds260 to correct this two mistakes considering that I have just received the email to send the supporting documents?? I am 11xxx.. If you suggest to unlock the ds, how much time will that delay my case? Do I risk a lot?
November 9, 2020 at 00:07
They are minor errors, but you could correct them if you want. No delay.
November 8, 2020 at 17:56
Hi Simon,
I found you on youtube and I like your video. But unfortunately, I still have a question. I cannot classify my degree. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in a three-year course at a German university of applied sciences. Do I fall into the High School, Vocational School or University category? In Germany the university of applied scienes is more practical than a university an not the same.
I would be grateful to you for a speedy response given to the deadline on 10 Nov.
Many Thanks.
Sincerely
Corinna

C. VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
D. UNIVERSITY, NO DEGREE
E. UNIVERSITY DEGREE
November 9, 2020 at 00:11
Just choose. It’s not an important question.
November 8, 2020 at 18:53
What to answer “Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?” on DS260
In the case that I did not do my medical yet, what should I answer to this question?
November 9, 2020 at 00:11
“no”
November 8, 2020 at 19:42
Hi Brit,
D 2021 and CN EU24XXX in your opinion this CN has a chance to be interviewed???
November 9, 2020 at 00:13
Probably.
November 8, 2020 at 20:14
Hi simon
Quick question, does the progression of the VB, get affected by the cases ,actually actioned by selectees? say for example of the 5700 cases current, only 2000 are actioned does that mean that on the next VB they include more than usual cases?
November 9, 2020 at 00:14
Yes – the VB progression depends on the capacity of the embassies and the readiness of the cases.
