Are you a health care worker seeking to perform such work in the United States but have not yet received certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization?
IS THIS QUESTION ALSO FOR THE PHARMACIST?
what is the proper answer?
November 13, 2016 at 14:36
Answer yes or no – it won’t matter either way.

November 15, 2016 at 04:15
Hello britsimon
My case number is 49## from nepal

November 13, 2016 at 08:19
Hi Brit hope this message find you well.My interview it was last Monday and my visa approved thanks god but the CO didn’t mention when to collect passport he said you will notify by an email.
so how long it will take normally and can i track by CEAC website or not .
Thank you .
November 13, 2016 at 14:30
Normally 1 to 2 weeks. And no, tracking on CEAC is not possible at the moment.
November 13, 2016 at 08:33
hi, I had an interview on October, unfortunately I got AP.I have 2 question
1-the officer just asked me 1 question!!is it normal? because all cases which same as me, got visa last year and also officer asked theme 3 or more question.
2- When does clearance processing of DV2017 start?
November 13, 2016 at 14:30
1. There is no “normal”. 1 question is fine.
2. They star working on AP cases as the cases enter AP.

Hello there. You are doing a great favor for those who wish to immigrate to the U.S with many questions. Questions that are unanswered even in the official DV Lottery’s website, so thank you!
I have one question. Me and my family were winners of the DV Lottery of 2017. We had our interview on November the 2nd. However, one of us had a small problem in their passport and my father’s birth certificate wasn’t certified, so the officer told us to complete these, then send them in an envelope to the embassy. We finished them around 3 days later and sent them in and we were told by a security guard to expect a call (although the security guard gave us a wrong email, probably by mistake. That made me doubt if he knows exactly what he’s saying). I know I’m somewhat being inpatient but the thing is, we have no clue what to expect. We sent an email (as we were told by the guard) to the U.S’s embassy in my country (Sudan) but no reply yet. In the interview, he only mentioned those two incomplete documents AFTER finishing all the questions. He even gathered all the files and stapled the passports altogether in one big blue file (if you could possibly tell, do you know what this means?) and the coworkers behind him were even smiling at us, as if expecting our reaction! Oh well, thanks!
November 13, 2016 at 14:29
I know exactly what it means – it means you are too tense and you need to relax. Then, once relaxed, be patient. 🙂
November 15, 2016 at 20:45
I couldn’t avoid laughing at these – ‘I know exactly what it means’. BritSimon you have really helped us. Amjed relax

Dear Britsimonsays
I and my wife have got DV – immigrant visa to U.S.A. this year. My wife is pregnant but I do not have money to cover prenatal care and delivery in U.S.A. My questions are as follows:
1- How can she get insurance to cover giving birth ? (we do not have any job in U.S.A. because we are new immigrants)
2- If we make a decision that she will give birth where we live now (out U.S.A.). Is immigrant visa for our baby difficult and complicated ?
3- which option of the above is the best to our situation?
Best Regards,
November 13, 2016 at 14:23
1. ACA PLans (Obamacare) are available with subsidies for people on low incomes. Additionally Medicaid is available without the usual 5 year waiting period for pregnant women in some states – https://www.healthcare.gov/immigrants/lawfully-present-immigrants/
2. The process to get the GC for a baby upon initial entry or first re-entry is very simple. https://britsimonsays.com/how-to-add-a-newborn-child-to-the-dv-case/
3. It is your choice.
November 13, 2016 at 20:05
Does Trump victory has any bad impart on DV immigrants?
November 14, 2016 at 05:40
Some comments about that here:

November 14, 2016 at 00:57
Hello , so I was selected a winner for the 2016-2017 visa Lottery and just had the interview on November 8-th 2016 , unfortunately I was disqualified because in the original entry I selected Australia the country of chargeability ( I believe its spelled like that) instead of Romania the country of birth . I’m an australian citizen and because Australia it is in the Lottery visa program i never though that would be a problem, and I never read anywhere that your visa will be denied if you select the wrong country of chargebility , and honestly it was an honest mistake with nothing premeditated to increase my chances of winning …..what hurts the most is that they knew from the beginning since i send out the DV 260 and they still went ahead scheduling the interview and the medical and all that, we payed a lot of money ( for me my wife and our child) just to go to Sidney with our hopes up to be denied in 5 minutes ….its nerve wreaking and very emotional the whole experience and I wonder if we can make an appeal? Is there anyone with a similar situation? ‘
Can we do anything or its all lost?
Thank you .
November 14, 2016 at 04:23
Sadly No, there is no chance of appeal. The denial was completely predictable, because the instructions on entering the lottery make it absolutely clear that the country of birth is what should be chosen. They could not have disqualified you before the interview because you were entitled to your interview to explain if you might have been eligible to charge to Australia in some way. Please be careful to read the instructions when you enter something like this.
November 14, 2016 at 10:33
Hii nick..
I’m sorry for that ..hopefully you ‘ll get a better chance in the future.
May ask if you have both Romanian and australian passport or not?
Have a good day
November 14, 2016 at 10:35
*May I ask
November 14, 2016 at 14:08
THat question is completely irrelevant.
November 14, 2016 at 09:54
Hi Mr Brit
CN for Africa for January interview is 25800
except ethioia 14700 i think, i dont understand what does it mean,
I’m from Ethiopia with CN 2017AF2430X and submitted DS 260 24 may 2016 ,
in which month will be my interview according to African CN for January 25800?
i would like to thank you your responces
November 14, 2016 at 14:09
You will wait until the number for Ethiopia exceeds your number. So – not January.
January 4, 2017 at 16:55
You writen that (wait until the number for ethiopia exceeds) is that mean egypt also the same
My case number 2017AF2710* is that mean my number not come yet in visa bulletin
January 4, 2017 at 17:21
Yes of course.
November 14, 2016 at 10:40
My Name is Mike, I have a question for the DV Lottery.
I am a Citizen of Zimbabwe which is a country that is eligible for the Diversity Visa Program. I may be moving to Canada to further my education. Canada however is a country which is not eligible and does not accept any of its Citizens to enter the DV Lottery. If I am selected, how will I go about submitting my application and attending the visa interview?
Kind regards,
Mike
November 14, 2016 at 14:07
Eligibility is based on country of birth. So – you will be interviewed in the country where you reside.
November 14, 2016 at 14:59
Thank you very much for the information BritSimon. Very much appreciated.
November 14, 2016 at 11:52
Hi, From denmark (EU) here. I turned in my DS-260 in early july. Case number 11000.
if I read it right the visa bulleting is at 15000 something now in december, does this mean I should recive my email soonish?
November 14, 2016 at 14:04
Probably. You submitted your DS260n slightly late – so that is what caused the delay.
November 14, 2016 at 14:23
Hi Brit
If we make the trip to activate the GC, my husband, my son and I, my son can return to my country before receiving the GC by mail and then we will send it to him so that he can return to the US without problem. We would like you to finish your last course of studies (2017-2018) and only have 2 months of vacations.
My questions are
1-Is it obligatory to wait for the arrival of the GC in the mail to be able to return ?,
2-Since this GC arrives by mail is it necessary for this active to do some other step in US? Thanks for your answers, they are a great help to all.
November 14, 2016 at 14:25
1. No
2. No other step is necessary.
November 14, 2016 at 14:29
OK, thanks a lot was a concern.
Then you can return without problem and then on your vacation back to EU, with the Gc that we will send
November 14, 2016 at 15:06
Hi simon
I did send my ds 260form.
And prind out the confirmation page;
I can i know they did get it?
I did signe for my kids it write or i should say they did help them to fill the form.
Should i write to kcc to know if they did get my form?
November 14, 2016 at 15:41
They get your form automatically – no need to check. They know children don’t fill out the forms themselves. So – no worries.
November 14, 2016 at 16:29
Hi Brit,
If l submit my DS 260 forms in early January, 2017. Or late December 2016. Would that be too late to have 2nl for interview and possible visa issuance?. I am still awaiting for my spouse’s documentations.
Any l am from the AF Region, with # **** ****1200
November 14, 2016 at 16:53
That would be OK.
November 14, 2016 at 17:06
Thanks for the swift answer
November 14, 2016 at 18:45
Hello, can you please say how much should be my bank account balance for 2 people,my wife and i? thanks
November 14, 2016 at 18:54
The normal quoted amount is $10,000 per adult – so $20,000 as a minimum.
November 14, 2016 at 21:42
Thanks a lot! That helps!
November 14, 2016 at 23:21
Hi Brit Simon, Can a green card holder fill out the I-134 or should it be a US citizen? Thank you
November 14, 2016 at 23:25
LPR is fine.
November 15, 2016 at 00:12
Dear simon
My case number is AF41*** and iam still waiting till my number comes up. Hopefully nothing bad will happen because of this new election. Anyway, iam a an undergraduate student and i want to transfer my transcript to the us to continue stdying to finish my bachelor degree. And i filled in the ds260 that iam currently studying!! Should i bring my transcript to the interview or just the official documents that they required. Thank u for ur help
November 15, 2016 at 00:17
There is no harm in taking additional documents to the interview.
November 15, 2016 at 00:27
Hi Britsimom, I and my family entered to US before two weeks ago.I have 2 months old child who has no visa but has I-551 stamp with his passport by CBP ,. my question is before a week we went to SSN to apply but they refused for this child ,as they said go to first immigration office and get A-number ,then we try to call for immigration Office but they did not give accurate information .Even we can’t pay 165$ for his green card. the other my child’s vaccination appointment date is approaching,i think it is not possible with out SSN, please give me your guidance as usual. Thank you in advance.
November 15, 2016 at 00:33
There is no need to panic that everything doesn’t happen on day 1. You don’t need an SSN for the child at the moment – RELAX! Wait a couple of weeks then make an infopass appointment at USCIS.
November 15, 2016 at 19:13
Thank you very much dear Britsimom ,God bless you
November 15, 2016 at 00:45
Thank you mr simon ur the best
Please i forgot to ask you this, silly me.
While filling the ds260 i wrote my name which should be in native language but i didnt have arabic in my keyboard so instead of clicking on technology does not apply. I typed it as it is in the regular(french/english) alphabet. Ididnt want to send an email to re open the form.because it will delay the interview. I started to freak out alittle. If i told them at the interview that i couldnt write it in arabic and tell them why. Will it cause a problem for approval or not?
Best regards
November 15, 2016 at 01:42
No.
November 15, 2016 at 12:50
Please, Mr simon my CASE NO.2017AF0000377* I unlocked my DS 260 form three times
when should expect my second letter.
November 15, 2016 at 15:04
It depends when you submitted your DS260 and what changes you made.
November 15, 2016 at 16:36
I submitted Ds 260 form on 20th June,2016. first unlock was 25th June,2016 the reason was that i added my address where stay before my current address within the same country .second unlock was done on 25 July,2016 the changes i make was to add my working experience and my university degree qualification. Final unlock was 7th October,2016 in order to add my Daddy meddle name on the parents information column. could these changes cause delay for my 2NL?
November 15, 2016 at 17:48
None of the changes could have caused delay. The only delay you have experienced was due to your submission date. It is most likely you will get a January interview (2NL in a week or two)
November 15, 2016 at 03:32
Dear Simon,
I have a question that no one can answer me here , I have faced lots of problem when i just arrived here in USA. Me and my husband opened checking account for both of us and make direct deposit around 5k for each account on Chase bank, When we checked about secured credit card they said there is no secured card in chase , But they offer us Chase slate credit card and they checked for us and informed us we are qualify for that credit card. Then he asked us to apply this card and we agreed. He said that card will send to us within 7 days. Today we received letter from bank that they unable to approve our request for chase slate visa platinum card . WHAT a hell is this ? So this is negative impact on our credit score ???
November 15, 2016 at 15:54
You should have applied for a secured credit card somewhere else. That is what you should do now.
November 15, 2016 at 10:16
hey brit.
I have a question.
I went to my interview fully prepared and everything checked out.
but at the end of the interview the consular officer gave me a paper with 5 questions
1. Your travel history over the last 15 years. Please include dates where possible.
2. The names of any siblings ,children and former spouses not listed in your online application (DS-160).
3. All the addresses where you’ve resided during the last 15 years, if different from your current address.
4.Any previous passport numbers
5.Your prior occupation(s) and employer(s) (plus a brief description) for the last 15 years
he asked me to submit the answers via email under the subject line “administrative processing – request for additional information (applicant name). then said we have some administrative processing on our end then we’ll send you an email.
he kept my passport , my police papers and my high school diploma.
I’m really confused because I know I’m suppose to get a slip of a certain color 221g or something. though the questions paper he gave me wasn’t even for immigrant visa applicants it was for visitor visa applicants with the form ds160.
and I was suppose to send them to their IV unit not NIV unit.
is this something you came across before?
should I be worried?
November 15, 2016 at 15:49
I only advise on DV lottery cases.
November 16, 2016 at 06:55
it is a dv lottery case. that’s why I’m confused.
November 16, 2016 at 15:02
OK – the DS160 comment made me think it was a different type of case. It sounds like the CO didn’t know what he is doing. Comply with the instructions on the form, and once they get that document hopefully someone else will pick up the case and realize the DS260 contains all they need.
November 15, 2016 at 11:01
Hi Britsimon,i am from Ethiopia and my CN is AF00020xxx and still i didn’t receive 2NL .when will be my interview.thank u in advance.
November 15, 2016 at 15:13
Your number is not current yet – you must read the visa bulletins to see when it becomes current.
https://britsimonsays.com/read-visa-bulletin/
November 15, 2016 at 11:28
Hi Britsimon!
After receiving my immigrant visa, I will have to enter US as late as June 2017. I have a question about filing taxes. Does it matter if I enter US in Dec 2016, between Jan and April 2017 or between Apr and June 2017? when will I have to submit my tax to IRS, in April 2017 or April 2018?
Thnx
November 15, 2016 at 15:10
If you enter the USA to activate your LPR status in December 2016 (even for one day) you will have to file taxes in 2017. If you enter in January onwards you won’t file until 2018.
November 15, 2016 at 13:21
Hey Britsimon, thanks for being patient with our daily annoying questions. I’m having problems acquiring my high school diploma from my University, because in my country they have some stupid rules. However, I can go to my municipality and get a duplicate stamped high school diploma. Will the embassy accept the duplicate, as it is a certified copy ? Thank you.
November 15, 2016 at 15:01
I can’t say with certainty, I don’t know your country or how things work there.
November 15, 2016 at 13:46
Dear Simon, kindly indicate when this number may go current: 2017AF000406. Initially submitted during the last week of June, unlocked and resubmitted in August 2016. Thanks.
November 15, 2016 at 14:59
That number is already “current”. However your submission date delayed your interview scheduling. I think you will get a January interview (2ML in a week or two)
November 15, 2016 at 14:30
Hi Brit, I got my Visa everything went well, I was trying your Donate button but its not working, my Last question on my Visa everything is fine embassy people made a small mistake my Name “Jonathen” they Printed as “Jonathan” do I have to correct this or its ok for travel but my other 3 names are spelled correctly
November 15, 2016 at 14:57
Congrats on the visa!. I would strongly recommend you ask the embassy to correct the name. If you don’t. it won’t match your other documents and it is a mess trying to sort it out once you are here.
Thanks for thinking about donating, and letting me know about the donate button – I fixed it.
November 15, 2016 at 15:44
Hi Brit, will embassy takes lots of days to sort this issue, because I already booked my flight next week, On my Visa Package and my Kids Surname “Jonathen” Printed Correctly they made this mistake on my Visa Document only
November 15, 2016 at 17:50
Regardless of how long it will take I suggest you discuss with the embassy immediately. They may be able to replace the visa document fast. It’s best to raise it with them and explain your travel plans.
November 15, 2016 at 15:23
Hi brit I have another question also
When I finish my senior secondary and preparatory school the name of the school is Motta preparatory school and it was one institution but now it has two names (Motta higher education preparatory secondary school and Motta senior secondary school) and when I collect my certificates again because of damage of documents they gave me from 2 institution with the above name dear Brit does it make me denial of visas during interview the place of the school do not change
my case number is AF 299x submitted in 4 July
November 15, 2016 at 17:52
That should not be a problem.
November 15, 2016 at 19:05
Hi Simon, my question is
my daughter is american since she was born in USA so regarding the question asking about the date she entered USA…Should i write her birth date?
Thanks in advance
November 15, 2016 at 19:25
I’m not really sure which form you are filling in, but you can use your own judgement.
November 15, 2016 at 19:58
Sorry for thay, I hav won visa lottery ad I am filling DS-260 form
November 15, 2016 at 20:32
You do not need to complete a DS260 for the American citizen child. On your DS260, the entry date is YOUR entry date.
November 15, 2016 at 21:17
Hii Brit..ii habe applied for dv2018 and if i get selected i just wanted to have your expert opinion about my birth certificate which is in arabic plz advice do i have to take embassy the true tanslation of birthcertifiacte in english or do i have to submit in original arabic as well . Thanks in advance
November 15, 2016 at 21:19
*IF* you are selected there is plenty of time for this type of question….
November 15, 2016 at 23:16
can i go for the interview and medical examination alone without my family and delay them for later time? how to do that?
can this make embassy suspicious towards my case?
November 16, 2016 at 00:55
That would be a risky strategy. I don’t know if it would be OK.
November 16, 2016 at 01:33
Hi,
My husband and I won the DV lottery 2017.
Our number is 11XXX, and we are in Greece.
We were not called for the interview yet and we are very worried.
We submitted the ds260 in August and still no answer.
We have an issue with our papers.
My husband has Greek nationality and he did not complete his military service, because the due date is next year.
We got a Military Certificate from the Greek Army department, that says his grace period will end on December 31, 2016.
He will probably be called for the army in March, when there is also the possibility to actually pay the army ($6000) without having to do it. We asked and it is not possible to pay it before March 2017.
But we are very worried, that if we are not going to be called for the interview before the end of the year, we will have problems at the interview and at the Medical examination, because of the Military Certificate.
What would you recommend us?
Where can we find someone with a similar problem and what would be the solution?
November 16, 2016 at 04:09
Your interview was delayed because you waited several months before submitting your DS260. If you were in a hurry you should have done it faster. You won’t be interviewed until around March.
I don’t know how to solve the military service problem.
November 16, 2016 at 05:44
Hi brit
I have a question?
2017 VB is so fast b/c for December and January VB NUMBERS
So CN 34xxx aspect before may?
Thanks
November 16, 2016 at 06:09
Hard to say. I expect a slowdown in the pace in the next month or two.
November 16, 2016 at 11:19
please Mr Brit, would to find out something from you, on my Ds 260 form i submitted included my father’s full name but on my original birth certificate his meddle name has been eliminated, can this cause a problem during my interview?
November 16, 2016 at 14:52
No
November 16, 2016 at 11:47
Please brit..I want to know when I will be getting my 2nl..CN AF 113××.submitted d’s260 on August 6th and unlocked it September to add my husband and submitted it on the 23rd of September. .when do you think I should expect it? Thank you.
November 16, 2016 at 14:51
IN 2 or 3 months.
November 16, 2016 at 14:59
Thank you brit..so let say interview in march or April. ?
November 16, 2016 at 15:05
Maybe
November 16, 2016 at 14:53
Please brit can you answer this question for me.?
November 16, 2016 at 15:03
Hi…pls get intouch, we cud share ideas.
[email protected]. From Gh too
November 16, 2016 at 15:05
Just so you understand – Ghanaians are refused more than any other country in the world. That is partly because of listening to other Ghanaians and “sharing ideas”. The idea you should be sharing is FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!
November 16, 2016 at 15:25
Thank you,
But by sharing ideas, I meant like knowing designated places for medicals etc…i mean we are all benefiting from ur good counsel. Thank you
November 16, 2016 at 12:16
Hello Simon,
Finally we are in the US 🙂 many thanks for your help!
We arrived in 2 weeks trip to activate our LPR status. Upon arrival CBP Officer did only admission stamp overlapping over immigrant visa page, with entry date.
I was expecting that she will do admission stamp + ADIT stamp, but no ADIT stamp was done. Therefore I got confused. I am leaving next week and will return back before getting my GC using only my endorsed visa. My questions are:
(1) Does only admission stamp on immigrant visa enough in my case? And I don’t need ADIT stamp?
(2) Is it legal for my relatives to send me GC overseas by international mail (to Japan)?
Thanks.
November 16, 2016 at 14:50
1. Correct.
2. Yes
November 16, 2016 at 14:54
Thanks!
November 16, 2016 at 12:31
Hello again!
From Nepal with CN 250#, to be interviewed in January. I have a question.
My transcipts of my education upto a university degree have all been laminated on the front face, while on the back face the documents have been verified by the university, the ministry of education and the ministry of foreign affairs.
1) Will the laminated documents even on the front side mean that I am disqualfied. However, all of these documents are genuine. The information on preparing documents for the DV interview, on the US DoS website and several other authoritative websites, does not contain anything on lamination.
2) Actually, in my character certificates, my address mentioned there differs completely from my permanent address, which is avaliable on the passport and police certificate. So, if they only ask for transcripts, there won’t be a problem. But if they ask me for character certificates, I guess there can be a problem. How big is the problem for visa denial? Is this address information really crucial particularly in my case?
November 16, 2016 at 12:39
Hii..wish you an easy and lucky interview .
When did you submit your ds260?
Have a good day
November 17, 2016 at 07:41
Asmaa, thanks!
The first week of June.
November 16, 2016 at 12:52
Have you recieved the 2nl letter already?
November 17, 2016 at 07:43
@Hovhannes, not yet! I guess in a week’s time as Brit suggests!
November 16, 2016 at 13:24
I would also like to know about the laminated docs. My birth certificate had been laminated over 10 years ago.
November 16, 2016 at 14:41
Some embassies don’t like laminated documents.
November 16, 2016 at 14:49
Hello Brit,
My second question was on the address in my character certificates. My transcripts are however perfect. Are character certificates required as such information is not available anywhere?
Thanking you in advance!
🙂
November 16, 2016 at 15:07
What makes you think character certificates are required. Just follow the instructions of the embassy!

1. I don’t know if KDU object to laminated documents.
2. I think you are worrying about nothing.

Simon, I see in this forum a lot of people talking about interviews dates based on the date the DS-260 form was filled and delivered but I understood that KCC does not schedule interview don´t they?
Thanks

As I have told you before AOS cases are different to CP cases.

Hi Brits I won DV LOTTERY with my family, as a principal I submitted my Ds 260 on 23rd July 2016, then unlocked it to submit my wife and two children FORMS on 20th October . My CN IS 2017AF000102** which is current so may I ask when should I expect my 2NL.

Quick one there for you Simon.
1.My wife and I live in Toronto, which is about an hour from the US border (NY). We are planning on driving to activate our greencards probably over the weekend. Naturally, that will be our first entry into the US. We are planning on moving fully over to the US around March/May 2017. After driving into the US this upcoming weekend, we will return to Canada the same day, and again return to the US for a couple days to look around (mainly weekends). Because it is so easy and close to cross into the US, I foresee that we will be taking these frequent short trips until we move over fully. Would these multiple entries and spending such little time in the US affect anything at all?
2. My wife and I have been married for less than two years. I think that I know the answer to this question but I will ask to make sure. Does she get a conditional greencard (because of the fact that we have been married for less than two years), or no. I was the principal applicant and she was the derivative.
Thanks!

1. No problem. Just be aware that you will need to file a tax report next year (covering 2016).
2. No – the GC is without conditions.

Date of submission is one aspect that can affect timing of interview – but case number is critical too. Read the link below.

Hi – I have a low number (OCEANIA 35X) and requested to interview in Sydney Australia. The KCC informed me about a month ago they should be able to give me my interview date around mid-late November. I called them today to see if they were able to schedule me in Sydney, however, I was told that they were not able to get to my application in time this month. They told me to call back around this time next month in December.
I am worried this is delaying my case. What should I do? Is this normal?
November 16, 2016 at 21:14
What is delaying your case is the processing of your DS260. That is delayed because you (presumably) waited some weeks or months to submit it. So now you just have to wait.
When did you submit your DS260?
November 16, 2016 at 21:19
I checked my records and I submitted it on May 5th, which I thought was pretty early. Should I call back and ask what is taking so long? What is my best course of action.
Also, can you remove my email address from my first post? I accidently included it in the name section.
Thank you so much for your help! I greatly appreciate it.
November 16, 2016 at 23:01
I suggest you simply wait. No need to do anything for now. In a week or so they will send out 2NLs for January interviews, so yours might be in that batch.
November 16, 2016 at 21:24

Hi brit
i had a small mistake in my ds260 form which is the date of obtaining my high-school certificate and my case would be current for Mars interviews,(the wrong date:24/09/2010 and the right date:04/07/2010)
so i must i contact the KCC to unlock the form or wait until the interview day?
November 16, 2016 at 22:58
That I a minor mistake – no need to correct the DS260.

Dear Simon I have a little problem, when I applied for my previous u.s visas I wrote the passport date of birth, unfortunately it turns that there is one day difference between the birth certificate dob and the passport dob due to the officer when he converted from loner date system to the western date system, I just found out after applying for the dv visa application with the passport dob with one day difference. Now what should I do? should I apply the form ds260 with the same date “passport date” or “birth certificate date”? do I need to change the passport dob?
November 17, 2016 at 01:18
Put the CORRECT DOB on the DS260.
