Hi Brit!
Its been some really great time for DV 2021 since few days ! And thanks for your continuous effort to keep us up to date !
– With 2NLs being sent out now, do you think we’ll see next visa bulletin earlier than 15th of March? Or they’ll follow the similar routine?
March 6, 2021 at 16:02
They have said they are trying to return to the normal routine, but it is not just about DV cases. Wait and see.
March 8, 2021 at 05:59
Hello Brit. My case N-2021EU15xx I received ready to schedule email in July and become current in October 2021. Now when I check my visa status it shows At NVC. Is it normal? My interview place is Tbilisi, Georgia and they are very slowly processing interview. Only 1% of winners called for interview from my country.
March 8, 2021 at 14:05
Yes normal. Patience.
March 6, 2021 at 14:39
Hi Mr Simmon, thank you for every thing.
I have a very low CN , AF1*** I didn’t receive the 2nl. The Embassy of my country works and some people from my country with CN higher than me in the rank received their 2nl. I just reopened the ds260 one month ago to add a newborn baby and sent all documents again. I received the ready for interview mail 3 days later. Is it the cause of 2nl delay or should I wait?
Thank you again Mr Simmon.
March 6, 2021 at 14:53
Hi simon!
Can I log in to check my ds260 once thoroughly ? Or will that make any impact?
March 6, 2021 at 15:13
hello brit one thing is not clear to me: The 134 is a compulsory document to be presented or not, for example on the ds 260 I entered the name, surname and address of a friend who lives in miami and where I will send the gc but I have no place the problem of the 134 and I don’t know if it would be willing, now we are two adults and a one year old girl, do you think that 20/25000 € on the current account could be enough to get the visa or, I repeat, the form is mandatory you can advise me and elucidate me? thanks for your answer and above all help
March 7, 2021 at 04:38
They don’t always ask for it, but if they do you must provide it. PLease read the FAQ.
March 6, 2021 at 15:39
Hi Simon,
Many thanks for your help. I have provided an US mail address in DS260. Can I change this address when I go to US? I will rent a house in US when I go there and I prefer to give my own address as mail address to receive the green card to avoid any potential risk of losing/not receiving the green card. If it is possible, can I talk about this issue during interview?
Tank you
March 6, 2021 at 15:50
Like many of us I’m worried about my documents, i submitted my DS-260 in July, since then i started preparing my documents because some logistic and pandemic reasons. Some of them, are issued in office far from where I’m living now and it is not simple for me to get new ones
I’ve been asked to submit my documents in early February but some of the documents (birth and marriage) were issued with on it a date of July 2020,
1)Could this by a problem?
2) how much time it requires the document processing, because now it is almost 6 week from the submission without a response and if a need some new one I’m running out of time.
Thanks in advance
March 6, 2021 at 16:01
Hello BritSimon !
Did KCC have different regulations on sending 2NL Notification ?
March 6, 2021 at 19:34
Hello Brit! How are you?
I have a question for you. When I filled my DS260 I put Mexico City Embassy for my interview there. But later I learned that only Ciudad Juarez Consulate is the one that is processing DV cases.
What should I do? Do I need to unblock My DS260 in order to change the embassy? or they send it anyway to Ciudad Juarez?
My case is current and higher cases than mine has been already schedulle for april.
Thank you so much!
March 6, 2021 at 20:47
They will ignore your embassy choice.
March 6, 2021 at 19:45
Hello Brit,
Finally we entered in the USA on March 4. Thank you for your all efforts. Big success to your life and work!
I would like to ask as followings:
1. We changed address at the port of entry SFO. So SSA will deliver our SSC to our new address or old address on DS260?
2. How long it takes to send SSN?
Regards,
March 6, 2021 at 20:47
1. It’s not a precise science. With a bit of luck, the new one.
2. About 2 to 3 weeks.
March 6, 2021 at 19:54
Dear BritSimon,
I am requesting I-134 from the US citizens and I have the following questions:
1. I looked up the I-134 form online on USCIS website and both the form and the instructions to it say that it expires on 28/02/2021. Does it mean it is not valid anymore? Which form should my sponsor use?
2. I am the principal and my husband is a derivative. Should my sponsor fill out 2 separate I-134 for myself and my husband, or one is enough having indicated both of our names on the form?
3. I didn’t have to mention any information about my sponsor in DS260, right? (The US address I provided is not my sponsor’s)
Appreciate you time and efforts and wish you a great day.
March 6, 2021 at 20:48
1. You can use that edition for an interview happening soon.
2. One that lists all derivatives.
3. No it is a separate thing.
March 6, 2021 at 20:57
Thank you so much! I expect to be current on the next VB, EU12XXX, haven’t received 2NL yet, submitted documents on Feb 17, 2021. Is it too early to request my sponsor the I-134? Does I-134 have an expiration date/ or short validity?
March 6, 2021 at 21:37
The 2NL won’t come until you are current as a minimum. Get the I-134 after the 2NL, because the accompanying documents must be up to date. Read the FAQ.
March 9, 2021 at 01:35
Greetings Brit
Thanks for the great job you are doing to help us through this period. Please I’ve send my attached documents to kcc documents. but the reply I had was the system can’t detect the attached document. I’m really stock.
March 9, 2021 at 04:50
Are the attachments too large?
March 6, 2021 at 22:09
Hi Simon
Thank you for your help.
Can you explain to us how KCC handle cases, many people with low numbers did not get their interviews yet and others even not got their ready to schedule email. Do you think people who not did not got their ready to schedule email yet with low numbers might not get chance to be interviewed, because they are processing higher case number?!
In KCC email when you inquired about documents receiving, they mentioned that if there is anything missing or if they have received everything needed in 3-6 weeks which they did not because I sent documents since 4 months.
Do you know people having same issue of documents I am already current for 2 months. People with higher case number than mine got their interview schedule?!
Regards

March 8, 2021 at 06:03
Hello Lena. I was current in October and ready to schedule email I got in July. But did not get 2NL. My case number is 2021EU16xx. So as Brit says we should wait and see.
March 6, 2021 at 22:41
Hi Brit
Have all embassies in Africa started sending appointments !!!!
And if some embassies did not start the interviews, will kcc wait for them and slow the visa bulletin or will she go ahead and increase the numbers of the bulletin
March 6, 2021 at 22:58
No, not all the embassies.
As for what KCC will do – wait and see.
March 6, 2021 at 23:43
Brit,
Im a DV 2021 winner from asia n my case no is AS13001. As vb for april went up to AS 9000 n there are 5 more bulletins to go, do u think that there is a minimum chance that my no can become currengt?
March 6, 2021 at 23:53
Your guess is as good as mine.

Hi Simon,
Many thanks for your help. I have provided an US mail address in DS260. Can I change this address when I go to US? I will rent a house in US when I go there and I prefer to give my own address as mail address to receive the green card to avoid any potential risk of losing/not receiving the green card. If it is possible, can I talk about this issue during interview?
Thank you
March 7, 2021 at 04:34
You can change the address at the interview, and then the last chance is at the POE when you enter.
March 7, 2021 at 01:55
Hi simon
I just read your article, i already told you about my issue am a dv2021 winner my cn is AF8k i didn’t received my confirmation yet, you told me to go and check carefully the documents i sent to kcc and so i did and i didnt find any mistakes, as you said in one of your videos maybe they didn’t receive them in pdf form or something else went wrong and if thats the case what should I do?
1. do you think i should send kcc new documents?
2. And if i do send kcc new documents and it turns out that they received my documents 7 months ago and i just had to wait, isn’t that a problem (me sending the documents twice)
Thanks for doing this.
March 7, 2021 at 04:34
1. You can decide.
2. No
March 7, 2021 at 04:00
Dear simon;
Greetings!
I am a dv 2021 winner. I am already current. And I have already received a document review completed email.
I requested KCC for DS260 activation to include my new born son. It hasn’t been activated yet. I also started his DS260 but it is still in UNDER REVIEW status. Should I send the new documents any way?
With my best regards;
March 7, 2021 at 04:36
Yes
March 8, 2021 at 21:54
Dear simon;
Greetings again!
I just received a response from kcc. So let me share my concern:
In response to my request for activation of mine and my wife’s DS260 for the purpose of including my new born son, kcc activated my wife’s and my elder daughter’s DS260. I replied with a thank you for activating my wife’s DS260, with a note that I didnt want my elder daughter’s DS260 activated, and with a second request for activation of my DS260. But kcc replayed saying “Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application”.
1—Could my case be ready for scheduling while my wife’s, my elder daughter’s and my newborn son’s DS260 were still incomplete?
I also have one unrelated question:
2—My elder daughter is not accompanying me to the US at this time, i have made it clear in the DS 260. Do I have to take her with me to the interview?
March 9, 2021 at 04:45
1. Yes. You need to be very clear with KCC what you want to do.
2. No
March 10, 2021 at 17:15
Thank you simon;
About the i134 form…my older daughter who is 7years old is not accompanying me at this tile, does her information have to be filled in the i134 form?
March 11, 2021 at 04:23
Include it for transparency.
March 7, 2021 at 06:50
Morning Simon,
I was wondering if it might be possible to do the first time entry processing only at a cbp checkpoint and actually never really travel to the US? So for example flying to Ireland, do the processing and flying back all within europe only?
March 7, 2021 at 14:22
No.
March 7, 2021 at 07:27

You can do it either way.
March 7, 2021 at 08:06
Dear Brit,
Brit, I would like to ask regarding a police certificate matters.
If I did reside in China for study since 2018 Sep, But I returned to my home country on Jan 2019 (Less than 6 months), and then go back again to China on Feb 2019 – Return again to my home country on July 2019 (less than 6 months), then go again from September 2019 to January 2020. then return and staying in my home country right now, Do I still need the Police certificate from China ? (Right Now China does not even allow us students to go back, so I have no idea if in this particular circumstance KCC will still need the Police certificate from China? How do you think about this specific/unique circumstance ?
Thank You Brit, looking forward for your reply !
Best Regards
March 7, 2021 at 14:25
If in doubt, get the police cert. Read the reciprocity page for China.
March 7, 2021 at 08:16
Hi brit, i have a question about sending documents, when sending i noticed that avast (antivirus software) puts this in my email signature. “Virus-free. http://www.avast.com” + their logo.
1/ can this cause a delay in the processing of documents?
2/ do I have to resend the documents? I sent the documents in October last year.
thank you!
March 7, 2021 at 14:26
1. I don’t think so.
2. Ask KCC.
March 7, 2021 at 09:07
Hi Brit,
I’m a DV2021 AF35xxx here, at this moment, should I send the documents or do I have to wait until KCC asks them? What do you think?
Thank you so much and have a wonderful day!
March 7, 2021 at 14:28
Send them
March 7, 2021 at 17:03
Thanks Brit! In that case, I’m not going to receive the email asking for the documents? Right?
March 8, 2021 at 04:44
You might.
March 7, 2021 at 09:49
Hi Brit,
I’m a dv 2021 winner. I’m about to send the required documents. Regarding the translations, the official language of Tunisia is arabic. I can get my birth certificate in 2 languages french or arabic. If I send the one in Arabic, I don’t have to translate it in Arabic? Am I right?
Thank you so much my dear Brit ❤️
March 7, 2021 at 14:29
For Tunisia, documents in Arabic or English are acceptable.
March 7, 2021 at 11:28
Hi Brit, someone told me you should not eat before going for the DV media exams. True?
March 7, 2021 at 14:35
Stop talking to idiots.
March 7, 2021 at 12:35
I received emil from KCC to submit documents, because they processed DS260. I sent them weeks ago, but still without confirmation. Please, can you check below is it sent everything correctly:
– my old passport that I used for applying and for DS260, expired in a meantime (scan format A4, which mean biometric page and first next one with stumps)
– my new passport (scan format A4, which mean biometric page and first next one with stumps)
– my wife’s old passport that I used for DS260, expired in a meantime (scan format A4, which mean biometric page and first next one with stumps)
– my wife’s new passport (scan format A4, which mean biometric page and first next one with stumps)
– letter with explanation why I sent old and new passport
– passport for both kids (scan format same as for mine)
– police certificate for me and for my wife issued 8 months ago in home country, because we didn’t spent more than 6 months in other countries (without kid’s because they are 10 and 14)
– birth certificate for all
– marriage certificate
– divorce court decision (for my wife’s previous marriage)
– military records (reciprocity page shows N/A, but I sent document from ministry of defense that show time and place of service)
– court records I didn’t sent (police certificate show “not convinced”, but in DS260 I mention thar I was arrested one time almost 30 years ago. For that arrest there is no any court records.)
Is that ok?
Everything is in pdf. format and total size of email is 20MB. Got automatic reply and nothing more.
Is everything sent ok? Did I miss something? Should I write them or…
Thanks in advance for reply!
March 7, 2021 at 12:39
Missing some characters… I sent docs. 10 weeks ago.
March 7, 2021 at 14:38
By the way, your case number is very high, which means you are at risk AND that they will not rush to process your documents.
March 7, 2021 at 12:50
Some characters missing… I sent documents 10 weeks ago.
March 7, 2021 at 14:37
I created a video about this a few days ago – check that out.
March 7, 2021 at 13:05
Hi Brit, I have one question. DS-260 has been processed, I received an email to send the documents and I sent them on December 11th (I am still waiting for a reply from CN Eu15xxx), however this month I got a job at the supermarket, do I have to ask them to unlock to correct in questions about work? Or no problem? Thank you
March 7, 2021 at 14:40
Don’t unlock for that.
March 7, 2021 at 15:18

Hello Mr. Brit
I hope you are doing well Sir.l am Ghanaian but currently living in china and I’m DV2021 CN 12k and I’m ready for interview. I got this email from the US Consulate General Guangzhou when I requested for emergency interview. I was trying my luck. What do I do now. Should I wait patiently for the ban to expire successfully on 31st March or keep emailing them and KCC as well. Thanks
Dear applicant,
Thank you for your inquiry. As of July 6, 2020, U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou resumed limited immigrant visa services. This includes case processing of spouses and CSPA-qualified children of U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, employment-based health care professionals, children who will imminently become 21 years old, and qualified emergencies. Please note that for the purposes of certain U.S. immigrant visa classifications, “children” are those under 21 years of age. U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou continues to prioritize adoption visa processing. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible, but we are unable to provide a specific date at this time.
Intending applicants should note that on January 31, 2020 a Presidential Proclamation was issued that suspended entry for individuals who have been in China less than 14 days prior to their arrival in the United States. More information about that Proclamation can be found here:
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/presidential-proclamation-coronavirus.html. This proclamation extends to fiancé(e) visas.
Once the proclamation is lifted, please contact us regarding your case via our webform: https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/visas/immigrant-visas/contact-us/immigrant-visa-unit-question/. Updates on the status of the proclamations will be posted on our website: https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/.
Please use only the web form at https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/visas/immigrant-visas/contact-us/immigrant-visa-unit-question/. E-mails sent via “reply” will not be received.
Sincerely,
Immigrant Visa Unit
U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou

Wait for now.
March 7, 2021 at 16:02
Hi Brit! Thank you very much for the great job you do for us. Will you advise me to change my interview location from Germany where I am currently living and the embassy won’t schedule any DV interview with the schengen ban to Cameroon where they started scheduling?
My CN is 9***
March 8, 2021 at 04:41
If you prefer to interview in Cameroon, you can ask KCC. But be certain you can travel there fore the interview.
March 7, 2021 at 16:56
Hi Simon,
My CN is EU 26k (EU).
When I submitted DS 260 for the first time back in July 2020 under the “Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years?” question I added also Greece to the list of travels (traveled there in July 2015 for 1 week honeymoon).
A few days ago I unlocked the case to revise something regarding work experience, but then it caught my eye and I realized that when I filled the form in June it was appropriate to add Greece (regarding the last 5 years travel, as I was there in July 2015) – but if I count starting this month, my travel to GREECE becomes irrelevant, meaning 5 years has passed from that time if counting from this day.
So what do you think should I remove Greece or leave it ?
Sorry for confusion and thanks for your help!
March 8, 2021 at 04:43
Leave it
March 7, 2021 at 17:11
Good day Sir, I hope you are doing well.
Sorry for the disturbance. I have sent my documents on Dec 11th and got the automated reply and nothing after that until now. My case number is 2021AS000069**
1.Shall I wait ?
2.Is it Normal ?
March 8, 2021 at 04:44
1 & 2 Yes
March 7, 2021 at 17:43
Hello Simon,
DV2021EU19xxx here, I have a couple of questions:
What’s the advantage of sending the documents now before being asked by KCC?
Are you sure that doing so will not cause any problem? I’m afraid that KCC will not treat them because the documents were sent without being asked?
Do you know people that have done it before and their cases have been processed normally?
Thank you so much for your valuable help Brit!
March 8, 2021 at 04:47
Feel free to decide what to do for your own case.
March 7, 2021 at 18:23
Hello,
I’ve been randomly chosen to further process DV lottery 2021. But my case a bit complicated, I don’t have a high school diploma. But I have a 6 years work experience as an IT director and teacher at the American school of Fes Morocco.
I did lot of professional developments and been trained by experts in IT and teaching.
I went to America in August 2019 for a teaching training at College board. It was a 5 days training and i got my certificate.
2 years ago i joined the leadership team of the school and I was in charge of the communications department.
Also I am a test center administrator (TCA) for ETS TOEFL testing. I was supervising the TOEFL for more than 6 years.
According to onetonline.org, as an IT ( network administrator) Job zone 4 SVP 7<8.
Teacher job zone 4 7<8
School administrator job zone 4 SVP 7<8
Would this be enough for me to be admitted or should I not give-it a try?
Thank you
March 7, 2021 at 18:29
Ps: My case number is 11k. I submitted all the documents and received confirmation from KCC now waiting for the interview. And tips
Thank you in advance
March 8, 2021 at 04:53
Patience.
March 8, 2021 at 04:52
You can try.
March 7, 2021 at 18:34
Hi Simon
Education certificates and national numbers are not required by KCC when sending docs, They are needed in embassies, unlike the restdocuments which are needed in both KCC and embassy . Right ?
March 8, 2021 at 04:54
Correct
March 7, 2021 at 18:41
I submitted the required documents. Not the work experience documents
March 7, 2021 at 20:55
Hi Brit, i hope you’re doing good and thank you for helping us every day.

March 7, 2021 at 21:01
Hello Mr. Britt! My friend are Kennedy/Gomez plaintiffs that are awaiting for 9000 reserved visas. Is there any information or statistics about at what number they stopped giving visas back in September in Ukraine. The are # 27000, just want to know if there any chance of getting one of 9000 visas if we win the case? Thank you
March 8, 2021 at 05:01
I don’t know.
March 7, 2021 at 21:03
Hi Simon
Do I need to send the I-134 with the documents to KCC , or i should bring it with to the interview?
Thanks
March 8, 2021 at 05:01
Only the interview.
March 7, 2021 at 22:42
Hello Brit,
I have a question about the interview. Should I take to the interview the high school diploma ( 12 classes), or the baccalaureate one?
Thank you !
March 8, 2021 at 05:05
Both
March 7, 2021 at 23:02
Hello Brit, this is the email I received. Its title is Documents received. Does the text mean that I am ready to program?
Congratulations! Our records indicate that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current and appointments are available. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on region and which case numbers have already been processed.
All DV 2021 interviews must be concluded by September 30, 2021. Please refer to the visa bulletin at travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via the email address listed on your DS-260 to check dvlottery.state.gov for details.

Yes
March 8, 2021 at 09:21
Dear Falta poco,
I read on a comment you posted some time ago here that it took one week for them to process you, is that all (DS, docs, ready for interview, everything)?? I mean what region and case no are you?
Thank you for your answer and the best of luck!
March 9, 2021 at 02:37
Hi Iri Everything took me less than a week. I am from the SA region.
March 9, 2021 at 19:24
Dear Falta poco,
Thank you for your reply. That’s wonderful! May I know in what month you started the process (in what month did you send the DS) and what’d your (approximate) case no?
Many thanks!
March 7, 2021 at 23:49
Hi Brit , bf’s Iranian , 2021 AS134xx , he already submitted his dox upon request in Nobember and recieved automatic reply. We sent and email tryinh to figure out why and still no answer . My main convern is the time and adminstartive processing
My questions are
1. What r his chances for an interview generally?
2. Do all Iranians need adminstrative processing after the interview ?
3. If yes , so i believe it can take long time and we might miss the FY , so do u think we may need a lawyer at one point ?
Your opinion is highly appreciated

HI Simon. BIG THANKS GOES OUT TO YOU!!
My family and I are finally in the USA and we wouldn’t have made it if it wasn’t for you and the lawyers working along side each other. America is beautiful and my wife just can not get over the fact that things are cheaper over here!! Thank you Brit!! Sending our love and blessings to your family

Hi Brit ..
I live as a refugee in an European country, and I am a DV2021 winner.
I left my home country more than 10 years ago and have never returned.
I want to ask you for a police certificate.
I obtained my copy of the police certificate from the European country in which I live.
However, I cannot get a copy of the police certificate from my home country, which I left more than ten years ago.
The laws there require direct contact with the authorities for the applicant to obtain such documents.
This cannot be done under the asylum laws of the European country in which I live.
Does this have an impact on the lack of documents?
What do you recommend addressing such issues?

All I can suggest is check and follow the instructions.

Congratulations Kula, can you please tell us exactly what happened at the CBP interview?
How long did it take?
What questions did they ask?
How long did you wait for it to start?
Thanks!
March 8, 2021 at 03:54
Hi C
There is no interview in CBP it took 30 min they just took our passport and visa packet and stamped our visas

Thanks very much Kula.
I was really worried we’d have a long wait and an interview to deal with, because we will be travelling for about 40 hours straight with two toddlers who have never travelled long distance before. I’m sure you can imagine what that will be like!
March 9, 2021 at 12:11
Of course I know.. I travel 29 houre with todler and 7 year… no worries that takes less time you can make it

Hi Brit- Simon, I recently tried to submit my DS260 for 2021 (from Australia). Alas, when I go to ‘sign and submit’, a red arrow points next to my case number. It is the correct case number with no spaces as it’s the same I used to access the form. There is no explanation why the red arrow and I fear some sort of cut off has happened? I thought we had until May to submit it and I had so many issues with the site and the server previously when I started the application. It actually says valid until May 2022 in the the top right corner when I login. Any ideas what it could be? Another server error? Have I missed the date? Cheers Cy

Did you take out the leading zeros?
March 8, 2021 at 03:56
Hi Simon, thank you for your ongoing support and kindness, my partner and I have our visas and are looking into when we can leave Australia and land in the US.
We received an email from the US Consulate general in Sydney, which mentioned that DV2020 cases which were approved in September 2020 as a result of the Gomez vs Trump case would have extensions placed on their visas. How do we know if this applies to us? Thank you for any support you can offer?
March 8, 2021 at 05:15
It applies to you, but don’t wait too long.
March 8, 2021 at 04:02
Hi Mark, fellow Aussie here.
When you do manage to get to the US would you please update us on how you went about getting out through the closed borders, how much the flights cost (can we trust the prices on wotif, flight centre, etc.?) and what the flights were like thanks to COVID?
March 8, 2021 at 04:39
Hi Simon .
do you have any information about CR1 visa to priority date January 2020?
March 8, 2021 at 05:16
No
March 8, 2021 at 05:32
Dear BritSimon,
My passport expires at the beginning of December. As I checked, 6 months of validity is required at the time of the interview. The interview is not scheduled yet, so should I take the chance and wait if it might be scheduled until then (the beginning of June) or should I go right ahead and renew my passport now?
Thanks for all the support!
March 8, 2021 at 14:04
You ca do that. hen just take old and new passports to the interview.
