Hello Simon
Thanks for operating the best site on the DV lottery.
My wife is selected for DV2021 with a very low case number and is current since last year.
Everything has been submitted and we are in receipt of an email from KCC stating that all supporting docs are good and that the next step is the interview. However, it has been quiet since. My question is this, since time is quickly running out for DV2021, what happens if we are not called for an interview by end of Sept.?
Your input appreciated.
Cheers
Richard

The end of September is the deadline. Unless somehow extended by a judges order, it will remain a deadline.
April 12, 2021 at 10:31
Hello Simon
My number Is current and I received ready for schedule email. But my embassy only scheduled 10 dv cases. Joining lawsuit will help me?
April 14, 2021 at 04:23
Maybe
April 12, 2021 at 12:09
Hey Brit, just got the ready for scheduling email.
EU12K. Docs were submitted on Feb 19, plaintiff in the recent “DV-2021 delay” lawsuit. And AUH embassy.
Fingers crossed!
April 14, 2021 at 04:23
Fingers crossed.
April 14, 2021 at 17:41
Thanks for sharing Don!
Do you know if AUH embassy scheduling DV cases?
It seems KCC is roughly processing documents based on CN.
I am EU14k, it’s good to see some movement, at last.
April 15, 2021 at 10:50
@Feher, Yes they are accepting interviews.
https://savediversityvisa.org/daily-visa-statistics/
Good luck!
April 15, 2021 at 20:26
Hi Don, I was wondering if before submitting your documents you received a “Further DV Documents Required”? Or did you just send them without getting that request?
April 12, 2021 at 13:27
Hey Simon,
I’m Eritrean and has won DV-2021 but Eritrea has been influenced by Trump travel ban imposed in February 2020 and now media out let has said that President Joe Biden has signed to reverse the Tramp travel ban, I was wondering if Eritrea is released from the travel ban?
I have submitted DS-260 on November of 2020 and still I haven’t got any Email from KCC for support documents. My case number is 2021AF00045XXX and I have set the interview place in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. What do you think I should do should I wait patiently or send the support documents without getting the email requesting for support documents from KCC?
Regarding the supporting documents
I can’t get a police certificate due to restriction in my country it’s impossible to get, does this have any effect?
Thanks,,
Yoel Ghebrhiwet
April 14, 2021 at 04:25
Send the documents!!
Read and follow the instructions about the police cert. Igf you have done that, you’ll be fine.
April 12, 2021 at 14:02
Hi Simon !
I’m checking my case status on USICS account for my Green Card , and it changed to :
I-551 NULL. What does this mean ?
Thank you
April 14, 2021 at 04:26
I don’t know.
April 12, 2021 at 15:19
Hello Brit,
My father was on a full-time job one and a half years back (now unemployed). What should he write in the “Primary Occupation” section in the DS-260? Thanks in advance.
April 14, 2021 at 04:26
Unemployed.
April 12, 2021 at 15:21
Hello Sir,
My C.N 2021AS16xxx iraq ,I have submit my doc since 28-jan and no confirmation mail yet,
Question
1-I see the website (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html) for nvc timeframe, and he said that nvc reviewed submitted doc in 7-Feb should i mail them and asking about agreement or wait
2-Is now good time for asking kcc fo change my interview location you know iraq embassy is closed for security reason .
3- about the Curtis Morrison case , what is your opinion and advice for joining or wait , you Know registration with layers say ending in 20-April thats means no choice after that .
Thanks For Great work and sorry for long questions, God Save you and your family.
April 14, 2021 at 04:30
1. That has nothing to do with DV cases.
2. Your choice.
3. You have to decide for yourself whether the lawsuits make sense in your situation.
April 12, 2021 at 15:44
Good morning brit ,
i watched one of your youtube video where you sayed that you will try to contact Charlie oppenhim by e-mail to ask him about what he says about Visa bultin
1) did you try or did he respond ?
2) if no do you think that he can change his mind and not put VB current (i ask this beacause lawyers in there onboarding page for lawswit based there prediction on Charlies prediction they sayed that even if your number is High oppenhim says it will be current by june)
3)Is a CN 65K from Africa quite high or very high ?
if we suppose my number will be current and the lawswit (mandamus) succed then
4) Is the process of my case Automatic ? or do i’ll have to contact KCC and show them prove that i’m plantiff ?
Thank you very much for all your effort
April 14, 2021 at 04:31
1. He did not respond. My note was quite “direct”.
2. Of course he can. We will have to wait and see.
3. Quite high.
4. One step at a time.
April 12, 2021 at 16:37
I have read and honestly do not know how to understand it:
A sworn translation must be attached to all documents drawn up in a language other than English or in the official language of the country where the visa application is submitted. The translation must contain a declaration signed by the translator stating that the translation is correct and that the translator is competent to translate.
My questions:
– Does this refer to the fact that the application will be processed in Italy, Naples… and documents other than Italian and English must be translated.
– Does it refer to the fact that the application is submitted in Polish (mother language) and documents other than Polish and English must be translated into English.
I have all Polish documents translated into English on the spot, only the police certificate from Italy is in Italian …
thank you very much for your help !!!
April 14, 2021 at 04:35
If you are interviewing in Italy, documents must be in Italian or English.
April 14, 2021 at 19:06
BritSimon, what happens if one submit f.e. Police Certificate in official language (Italian) of the country where visa interview will take place (Italy) and in English? Is this a big error?
April 15, 2021 at 03:25
No problem.
April 14, 2021 at 22:38
You just saved me 200€ in translations and authentications…if i win my visa i’ll give you that sum as a tip
April 12, 2021 at 17:22
sorry brit for the last question about language of tranlation, not actual, dont accept this question above, sorry thanks
April 12, 2021 at 18:34
have you heard something about whether bogota is going to start scheduling cases?
April 14, 2021 at 04:38
Bogata does have some interviews scheduled.
April 12, 2021 at 19:17
Dear Britsimon,
I hope you are healthy. I am confused about the final part of DS260; Sign and Submit for my child.
1) It is written Did anyone assist you in filling out this application? For this part, if it is for my child DS 260 who is under 6 years old; do I need to answer by yes, and then filling other information about myself as a father?
2) After this part two information required which are: Enter your KCC case number: this is clear while the other one is: Enter your passport number: I do not know whether for my child DS260: should I write her passport number or my passport number as main applicant?
3) Actually, I submitted our DS 260 in October 2020 and for point 1 I filled as no for my child and for point 2 I wrote my passport number, and I got confirmation number for her. My question is if they are not correct do I need to unlock the DS 260 for correcting these?
Best regards.
April 14, 2021 at 04:39
1. Correct.
2. Write yours.
3. No need to unlock. You are overthinking trivialities.
April 12, 2021 at 20:12
Hi Brit
Appreciate everything you do
I am 21AS38XX and I’ve checked some updates that my embassy is ready for 16 more cases just today but I still haven’t received my 2NL. My docs are processed and I’m ready for scheduling as per the congratulations email I received. However, I still haven’t gotten the “your case is ready for interview processing” email as many are getting nowadays. (I suppose kcc only schedules after sending the interview processing email?)
I’ve asked kcc twice whether my docs are fine and they said dS260 and docs are processed as records indicate. Is there anything I can do to get the interview processing email? Please advise as I really need this chance. What should I do? Kcc is not scheduling me.
Thanks
April 12, 2021 at 20:16
Remember the email itself is not important, you should check the DV Entrant status check
April 12, 2021 at 20:53
How is it possible to get the interview date and time without the 2NL? Simon please clarify
April 12, 2021 at 20:59
You don’t need the email to check if you’ve been scheduled here: https://dvprogram.state.gov
April 12, 2021 at 21:14
I’m aware of that link, but my question is a totally different thing. What’s the point of checking the link if I’m gonna see the 1NL as seen before? Unless, it will show my interview date and time without sending a notification in my email that I’ve got updates at https://dvprogram.state.gov/ etc.
April 14, 2021 at 04:43
Simply put you may have somehow missed the email. The email is otherwise useless.
April 12, 2021 at 21:48
Hi Mario, i suppose that you are italian…i am warried about documents and wanted to know how you’re doing about something. I got the police cert (casellario and carichi pendenti for italy), the birth cert and of course i have the passport. Documents should be sent in English…how do you do with the translation? Need I to make an official translation of them and put the “apostille”?
April 14, 2021 at 04:42
If you had read the FAQ about what the 2NL is you would understand.
April 14, 2021 at 08:57
For Documents., have translate the documents from someone fluent in english or a professional which you can find here guidatraduzioni.it. , each document need to have this info by the translator:
“Certification by Translator
I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.
Signature_________________________________
Date Typed Name
Address”
April 12, 2021 at 23:45
The “2nl” just tells you to check that page, the “2nl” literally just says check your dv entry status. That’s it. The actual interview appointment will show where the 1nl is.
April 14, 2021 at 04:39
Patience.
April 12, 2021 at 20:31
Hi Simon,
1). I was wondering if I could renew my passport after I get sent my 2nl, can I show up to the interview with the new passport and the old passport/proof of the old passport? Or do I need to change it before?
2).My case becomes current in June, assuming I get sent my 2nl for an interview in June, my current passport expires in June 2022, is this enough validity time? Or do you think I need more?
April 14, 2021 at 04:40
1. You can take old and new to the interview.
2. It’s enough.
April 12, 2021 at 20:35
Hi Brit
I’m George Af31k I submitted my D s260 September 7 but hadn’t received any email from kcc requesting support doc…
Thank and let God bless you
April 14, 2021 at 04:41
Send your documents!!!
April 12, 2021 at 20:51
Hi Brit,
Can I change the DV interview location to the United State after entering to the US by F-1 Visa?
April 13, 2021 at 07:48
I have kind of the same question!
Can I get the visa interview in the USA after enrering to the US by B1/B2 Visa.
Thank you in advance!
April 14, 2021 at 04:41
Yes – but you have to wait 90 days after entering which will make AOS challenging. It’s a totally different process.
April 14, 2021 at 06:26
Hey Brit,thanks for your answered!
Can you please tell something more about this process. Is there any info about AOS challenging and where we can read something more about that? Thanks!
April 15, 2021 at 03:09
Best DV related AOS info is here: https://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2021-aos-only.342993/
April 12, 2021 at 21:32
Hello Britsimon,
Two questions:
1. Our second DV visa 2020 OC 5** has expired. But we’ve been living under an Australian (relatively Covid free) bubble for the last two months and recently read that Biden’s rescinder on 24 Feb, 2021 seems to suggest we can still move to the US on an expired DV 2020 visa up until the 24 August 2021. DO you know if this is correct?
Second Question:
2. If the above is correct, do we need to go back to the consulate and get the visa re-issued (a third time) or just take a leap of faith and rock up at the airport (2 cats, 1 dog, 2 kids, 3 fish, 8 bags, and one hubby) and be allowed to leave?
Thanks so much…
Jean
April 14, 2021 at 04:44
1. Yes if it was re-issued in September of last year.
2. Again – pay attention to what I said in 1. If that is correct, then no further documents are needed.
April 13, 2021 at 00:53
Hi Simon! I just realized that I have two current passports of my country and I was only added one of them (the newest). Should I also add the old one (the one with the visa that expires NOV 21).
What should I do?
April 13, 2021 at 01:02
I was only able to add one passport on my nationality. Should I add it like a new nationality??
April 13, 2021 at 01:09
Im just answering myself. but here’s for everyone from Simons’ FAQ… @Simon, I should leave it with the passport that expires in 2029. Right? And make no mention of the other one (expiration nov 21)
Your passport should be valid for 6 months beyond the point of entry, but if your passport will expire during the DV process, you might be better submitting now with the current passport and updating later once you have the replacement passport. This is especially true if you have a low case number, and are therefore expecting an early interview. If you do need to renew your passport during the DV process, in many cases people have taken old and new passports to the interview without unlocking the form, but the preference would be to add the new passport details if time allows.
OK – hope that makes sense. Check what it says on your birth certificate. It is important that this information agrees to the birth certificate and the passport. By the way – your country of birth may not be the same as your nationality (which is on the next page). But your country of birth is what should have driven your entry into the lottery (eligibility is based on your country of birth, NOT your nationality).
April 14, 2021 at 05:14
Be more clear.
April 13, 2021 at 03:25
Goodday Brit..The schengen ban on visa issuance which was removed on 7 April is it only for named plaintifs for NIEs or its for everyone who is in and affect by schengen area.
April 14, 2021 at 05:16
Everyone.
April 14, 2021 at 09:02
I actually got the interview in Naples yesterday and , they told me they can’t put the final visa stamp on passport and send the package unless Biden remove the Schengen ban. SO they process….but can’t finalize yet.
April 14, 2021 at 09:25
Even after the April 8 Proclamation? i saw on ceac that Naples has now cases in AP this means they are processing.
April 14, 2021 at 09:34
if you look well the chart you will notice that they have visa available but they technically didn’t issue a single one yet.
April 14, 2021 at 09:52
Nope, it seams that the case EU4X yesterday was refused now is in AP and the case EU103XX are issued
April 14, 2021 at 10:02
they are all ready but not issue…look at the color of the chart, dark green is issued …and there is not a single one. Another proof is that if you look the situation in Europe….only 2 visa got issued.
April 14, 2021 at 18:06
@Giulio sorry I didn’t read this post before…
May I ask if you are in a sort of exception (plaintiff in some litigation or particular NIE)?
So the Consulate kept your passport until further notice?
@Brit
1. Do you have records of this happening before?
2. Do you think we must notify this new “situation” to the Immpact lawyers for DV 2021 litigation?
April 14, 2021 at 18:59
The problem is the Schengen related on COVID reason PP 10143 .
it is well explained here https://nl.usembassy.gov/covid19-faq-visas/
and even better here https://www.natlawreview.com/article/issues-visa-issuances-countries-subject-to-pp10143
Even if you could get approved, they won’t be able to finalize the process until the ban is removed and we are free to enter US.
April 15, 2021 at 03:24
That is out of date, and therefore incorrect information.
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/updates-to-national-interest-exceptions-for-regional-covid-proclamations.html
April 15, 2021 at 03:22
It’s just dopey staff at the embassy. It will get sorted out. No big deal, no need to run crying to daddy. 😉
April 15, 2021 at 03:12
You should contact them and point out they are incorrect. Send them this link.
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/updates-to-national-interest-exceptions-for-regional-covid-proclamations.html
April 15, 2021 at 08:36
Thanks Brit!! You are the best!!
April 15, 2021 at 11:39
Brit they confirmed me they are processing Visa.
Question, after the package is sent to us….are we still restricted to enter the US by the 14 days rule (if you are present in the previous 14 days in the Schengen area….) or we can fly there no problem?
April 18, 2021 at 18:48
No 14 day wait as I understand it.
April 16, 2021 at 15:57
Hi giulio, can i ask you somthing about casellaroo giudiziario? Nedd to translate and notarized the document or only translate? Thanks
April 16, 2021 at 16:20
everything asked by kcc need to be translated, not notarized!, remember you need that plus “carichi pendenti”
April 13, 2021 at 07:41
Hello Simon,
I believe your analysis of visa bulletin is correct and that Charlie Oppenheim doesn’t have the accurate information on the demand for visas. So the scenario of regression is possible and makes sense.
My question is: I’m part of the mandamus case and assuming i will be current on the next visa bulletin, mandamus works good and they send me an appointment date to try get me out of the case which would normally be more than a month away. If the next visa bulletin (after getting an interview date) shows a regression and my CN is no longer current, what happens with the interview? I believe this is a valid question even for people with high CN and are part of the lawsuits and expect all cases to go current. Thank you
April 14, 2021 at 05:18
Regression happened before in DV2018. AF region went current, and then regressed. A few interviews above the final cutoff were scheduled and were allowed to continue.
April 13, 2021 at 08:38
Mr.Simon
#dv2021 the FY is coming to end. Why don’t consulates use COVID screening to start the process?
April 14, 2021 at 05:18
I don’t know.
April 13, 2021 at 10:15
Hi Simon, I’m freaking out a bit about my case – I’m OC1## and I got my 2NL in March for an early May interview.
Using Xarthisius’ raw data I’ve done some checking of OC cases which have their 2NLs and I’ve found that there are 42 OC cases which were “in transit” at the time that Xarthisius took his May 2NL snapshot, and ALL of them remain “in transit” as of right now (yes, I’ve gotten very good at CEAC searches tonight).
I spoke to the Sydney consulate and they told me that they have not received my case from KCC. My understanding is that “in transit” is a brief status indicating that KCC has sent the file but that the consulate hasn’t picked it up yet. I seem to remember you saying that sometimes the case moves so fast that people don’t even see the “in transit” they just see it go to “ready” (and other OC cases were in “ready” state when Xarthisius took his May 2NL snapshot).
The way I figure it there’s two likely possibilities:
1. The consulate(s) have those 42 cases sitting in their inbox and will get to them some time before May.
2. Something has gone wrong, and either the cases are lost in transit or something like that.
My big fear is that I’ll travel all the way to Sydney only to be turned away at the door because my case isn’t ready.
Is this something you’ve seen before? do you have any advice?
April 13, 2021 at 13:17
Hey,
My case has also been “in transit” since March 19 and my interview is also in early May but in Italy.
Let’s hope for the best.
April 15, 2021 at 08:48
For Naples, Italy, you have to register your interview appointment online (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-it/iv) so they really have no excuse not to know you are going there for the interview on a specific date.
April 16, 2021 at 05:46
Thank you, Elisabetta! I’ve registered my appointment. The embassy cannot provide any information and they are just sending standard responses :/ so confused
April 14, 2021 at 05:19
Forget the In transit status. Email the embassy with a copy of your 2NL and tell them you are coming. Let them sort it out.
April 14, 2021 at 05:23
Thanks Simon, I did just that and was told that they can’t contact KCC to request the file, and that when it arrives they’ll send me a confirmation email.
I guess at this point all I can do is hope that it arrives on time for my interview.
April 14, 2021 at 05:30
That’s nonsense. Tell them you are arriving on the day and time confirmed by KCC.
April 13, 2021 at 11:14
Good morning Mr. Simon. I am a DV 2021 winner and my case number is AF54XXX. i still haven’t received a mail to send submitting documents to kcc. I saw in one of your posts earlier recommending we submit the documents regardless. Should i still exercise some patience since my case number is a bit high or should i submit it right away?
April 13, 2021 at 11:57
Submit them Nick
April 14, 2021 at 05:21
Submit.
April 13, 2021 at 11:20
Hi Brit, you said in one of your last videos that you don’t see an extension coming for DV2021 because there is no lawsuit to that effect. Is there not a component of the mandamus case that seeks to preserve all 55k visas? knowing that they can’t preserve of reserve visa without and extension.
Thanks for your answer
April 14, 2021 at 05:20
I said there would be no extension UNLESS instructed by a judge. We have to wait and see if that happens.
April 13, 2021 at 13:50
Dear Mr. Britsimon:
Please, your response to these inquiries are highly appreciated.
1. Is there lawsuit that is being pursued presently to rescue DV 2021 from losing the 55k visas?
2. Is there lawsuit that is being pursue presently to mandate and or instruct embassies to process DV 2021 cases?
3. Is there any plan by KCC & embassies to fast-track the processing and interviewing of DV 2021 in the last three months (May, June & July) for scheduling cases for interview?
4. So confused, do you see any light at the end of the tunnel for DV 2021 considering the remaining time?
Thanks and best regards.
John
April 14, 2021 at 05:23
1. Sort of. That is not the main ask.
2. For named plaintiffs, yes.
3. No
4. The light is dimming.
April 13, 2021 at 14:27
I greet you sir I am a DV2021 winner I forgot my birth and I wrote Ds260 I can’t fill
April 14, 2021 at 05:23
I don’t know your birthdate.
April 13, 2021 at 16:11
Hello, I hope I do not cause much inconvenience but I need you to advise me … I have 3 daughters and if I present a letter of job offer for my husband and another for me, the girls are protected with this or do I also have to present an affidevit for them?
April 14, 2021 at 05:24
I don’t understand what you are asking.
April 13, 2021 at 19:31
Hi. My case number is 2021EU36xxx, Ukraine. I sent my ds 260 in June. Will I have a chance if visa bulletin become current for Europe?
April 14, 2021 at 05:24
Maybe. Have you sent documents?
April 14, 2021 at 05:18
Hello Britsimon,
I am AF51*** Are you aware if Ghana embassy is scheduling DV interviews.
Thanks
April 14, 2021 at 05:28
None so far.
April 14, 2021 at 05:18
Good morning Brit.
I am on Facebook for over 10yrs now and I have used many name identifiers some of which i have forgotten.
1-I would like to know sir, are these all names used on facebook suposed to be added ALIAS names?
1- does this name Peter I use on my email also an ALIAS name because I added it as same or I should unlock my DS 260 and edit accordingly?
These names do not appear anywhere on my documents. I thank you
April 14, 2021 at 05:29
1. Use your own judgement.
2. No
April 14, 2021 at 09:16
Good morning Brit,
2021AF32xxx
According to the visa bulletin, my case number is current for May. I never served on army, do i have to send a pdf explaining that ? Or i can send my documents without explanation ?
Thanks
April 14, 2021 at 09:31
Hi!
Does anyone know if the consulate in Naples started inviting you to interviews?
April 14, 2021 at 09:36
Yes they started more than a week ago
April 14, 2021 at 10:06
thx!!!! do you know where I can check it… or mayby do u know what CN got 2NL?
April 14, 2021 at 11:19
The highest CN which got the 2nl in Naples is 13xx, also the 103xx have been processed but was a NIE before the April 8 proclamation. Now whe have to wait for the new batches of 2nl coming with the visa bulletin in mid April. What’s your CN?
April 14, 2021 at 12:15
my CN24XXX so itssuper superr high unfortunately :/
April 14, 2021 at 12:19
CN24XXX so it’s super super high unfortunately :/ don’t think they will invite me for interview :/
April 14, 2021 at 15:56
Giulio ciao!
At the end was your interview confirmed?
April 14, 2021 at 17:03
Yes Marco. If they are going to move interviews dates for some reason, they will email you. All medical visits and interviews were confirmed.

Hey giulio did they ask you to show the i-134 module ?
April 18, 2021 at 20:50
XXX they asked me financial document but they didn’t ask me a I-134. If they need they can ask after the interview.
April 15, 2021 at 03:13
If military service was required, then you would have needed an exception. Send that if you have it.

#DV2021 #GohvBlinken has been assigned to Judge Mehta, which we believe is fortuitous for our case. He knows the issues. He knows DOS ignored his order on visa issuance for DVs, and he has reserved visas already for DV applicants. We now march forward.
Hi Brit i was trying to send the link but it doesn’t seem to go so i had to copy and paste

I saw it thanks.

What does he mean by this?
April 15, 2021 at 03:13
He likes the choice of Judge assigned to their case.

April 15, 2021 at 03:14
I don’t know. Ask the lawyers.
April 14, 2021 at 14:53
A friend was asked for both an affidavit of support and a bank account during his DV lottery interview. Why did they ask for a bank account if he already has a sponsor?
April 15, 2021 at 03:19
They can ask for whatever they want.
April 14, 2021 at 16:12
Hi Simon! Here I am to clarify a post that wasn’t that clear.
My situation is the following:
I currently have two passports of my birth place and a third one of Spain. Since the first one expired in November 2021 I got a new one for the DV process (I remember reading here that you should have a passport with at least 6 months after entering the US with the GC).
I have no option in the DS-260 to fill in a second passport from my main country. I did alright by completing it with the newer one and not with the old one (that’s the one with the B1/B2 visa) right?
Cheers,
April 15, 2021 at 03:20
Correct. But when sending documents send the old and new ones since the old one was used in the entry process.
April 14, 2021 at 16:38
We have movement on TBL, Georgia.
people who are less than EU1200 are getting their interviews in April. EU2000 and above in May.
Look at it:

And here from Russian forum a big data about people movement of process:

Simon, wt’s the real problem for #DV2021 process? Backlog of IVs or COVID?
April 15, 2021 at 03:23
Everything.
April 14, 2021 at 19:50
If they postpone the draw of 2022 (what they will most likely do), will they put in the upcoming bulletin? I forgot how and when they announced it last year.
April 15, 2021 at 03:26
It is unlikely to be postponed. It is only three weeks away.
April 14, 2021 at 20:26
Hello Britsimon,
I am AF18*** Are you aware if Sudan embassy is scheduling DV 2021 interviews.
April 14, 2021 at 20:55
Hi Hagos
You are from Sudan, right? I’m from Sudan with case number 2021AF19***.
The US embassy in sudan is not scheduling Dv2021 interviews so far .
What’s your case statue by the way?
April 15, 2021 at 03:27
It is not.

April 14, 2021 at 20:54
Hey Simon,
DS-260 submitted last August. Because of #sendyourbloodydocuments i did so, 2 weeks ago.
Maybe I am too worried or overcaucious. But I should have provided the date of birth in the format MMDDYYY
and I did like 10Aug1980.Still clearly readable.
Is that going to be a problem. Or should I just send the documents again? Is there anything else, I need to pay special attention while writing the mail? Besides Full Name and complete case number?
I heard Frankfurt is not interviewing at the moment. What could we do (EU20xxx)?
April 15, 2021 at 03:28
Date not a problem.
Frankfurt has accepted interviews.
April 14, 2021 at 21:11
Hi dear Simon
I sent my documents 3 weeks ago, today, I found out that I should have scanned the overleaves (documents’ back pages) also ; as there are seals on them.i emailed KCC twice whether they’re satisfied with the documents or not. But all I get from them is that usual email. So I scanned the whole documents and sent them once again . How does this affect the process of my documents?
April 15, 2021 at 03:28
I don’t know.
April 15, 2021 at 04:08
Dear Simon
Thank you for your efforts
I wanted to ask; if I happen to accept a J1 exchange visa (work) does that mean my green card will get cancelled ( I am still waiting for my interview) but I’m short on time so I got to pick what I can get as quick as possible.
Thank you and grateful
April 15, 2021 at 04:24
No, but be careful not to take a J1 with a home residency requirement.
April 15, 2021 at 15:56
Thank you for your reply.
My J1 requires 2 years home residency.
Can I still interview for green card even in this situation?
April 18, 2021 at 19:29
You would need a waiver to overcome the 2 years. That is not guaranteed.

Hi brit simon Greeting from Japan I am a DV 2021winner from Nepal .My case number is around 3600. I am living in Japan.I have got document received email on last september .I have send email to KCC several times for interview location change but i am tired of their generic reply.Their generic reply consists of” Your Case number is current for interview processing “.Embassy of Nepal is not scheduling more interviews citing the lack of resources and staff safety .Can I send letter to KCC on their postal address for interview location change ? Hope for your positive reply .
April 15, 2021 at 18:46
You don’t send a letter by post – you can email them.

SEND THE DOCUMENTS!
April 15, 2021 at 09:34
Hello Mr. Simon
My spouse’s passport and birth certificate show different birth dates, so I will be requesting a new passport for her with the correct DOB. Since we are getting too late on document submission, can I send to KCC the passport I have right now (which has the wrong DOB), then show up at the interview with the new passport? Your response is greatly appreciated.
April 18, 2021 at 18:47
Yes
April 15, 2021 at 11:12
Hi Brit,
I had my interview today…everything went well as we desired it to be, and C.O. asked to retain our passports for possible visa stamping.
Question: C.O. said he needs to double check if my wife who is a Canadian Citizen can be issued with diversity visa as my derivative.
Do you think they will deny us visa since my wife is a Canadian Citizen and they are not eligible for diversity visa?
Am from Kenya CN: 2021AF1***. We had our interview in Bahrain
April 18, 2021 at 18:48
Your wife is eligible – so just wait a few days.
April 15, 2021 at 12:04
Hi Brit.
if and when I will receive the package, how I enter the US? I had a previous working visa on my passport, should I enter with that in US and give the CBP the yellow package or use an ESTA?
April 18, 2021 at 18:49
You must not use an ESTA. You will have a visa stamped in your passport – and will use that.
April 15, 2021 at 13:09
Hi Brit, can I ask is it a problem to book your interview in the US and then travel there from you country for the interview. We already had a trip planned for June on a 90 day waiver program between USA & AUS, and were wondering if it will affect us on the chance we get through to the next step?
April 18, 2021 at 18:49
No you cannot do that – and certainly not on a visa waiver.
