Hey, my case number is AS3600 I sent my documents 6 weeks ago and I didn’t receive any email yet . I’m second guessing that there is something wrong with my document (maybe the scanning was not clear) can I resend my documents or that will cause a problem?
I already sent multiple emails asking if they are satisfied with my documents but they didn’t reply

Hi Brit, thanks for taking out time to provide us with useful information as regards the DV lottery Program. I couldn’t see where to post so I had to leave a reply to a comment made by you. I am a DV 2021 winner with case number AF54xxx, resident in Germany and Cameroonian by nationality.I recently got married and added my wife to my case. I also submitted my wife’s Ds 260 form and sent required documents. Here is my worry, my wife is based in Cameroon and for now she can’t get a visa to Germany at the moment which means she can’t attend the interview if I am scheduled. I emailed KCC and they said I need to provide a valid reason why I want my interview location change. So I have this in mind;
1. Should I email KCC and explain more?
2. Unlock my form and adjust that my wife won’t be immigrating with me?
Less I forget on my wife Ds 260 form we mentioned that her interview should take place in Yaounde Cameroon so I don’t know if KCC can grant us separate interview with different locations. Will be anxiously waiting for your reply.
April 27, 2021 at 19:22
You must interview together, but this is not a normal year so if you can get an interview at all you should consider yourself lucky, and either both get to the interview, or accept that you will spend 2 years to bring her later.
April 24, 2021 at 05:58
Hi Brit
Just like to let you know that my family and I received all our green cards today. We’re super excited and would just like to update you and everyone else on this group especially those of you that are in the US waiting on the arrival of your GC. We entered on the 4th of March but paid on Dec 31st. However, only my husband’s ssn has arrived. My son and mine still yet to arrive and we hope soon too ??
April 24, 2021 at 14:58
Congrats. If you don’t get your SSN soon, visit the SSA office.
April 24, 2021 at 07:19
Hello Brit,
You say that translations are not required if the documents are in the language of the country where I will be interviewing. This is exactly my case, however the embassy-specific instructions state that English translations are a must.
1. Does that mean I also have to send them translated to KCC?
2. I am about to send my documents but the official translations (from a professional translation service) will be out in a week or so. If they are indeed required, can I send the untranslated docs now then follow up with the translations?
April 24, 2021 at 15:00
What country is that? It sounds wrong, but perhaps there is a reason.
But assuming that instruction is correct:
1. Yes
2. No
April 24, 2021 at 17:32
Sudan. Here it is: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/KHT-Khartoum.html#pre_interview_checklist
“For each document (with the exception of your passport and photographs) please bring the authenticated original document, one certified photocopy, and a translation of any documents in a language other than English.”
April 25, 2021 at 18:14
Because English is one of the two official languages in Sudan. It is reasonable to insist on English language documents in that case.
April 25, 2021 at 23:56
Yes this makes sense. Thank you.
April 24, 2021 at 08:03
On January 8th I received email to send documents. I sent them next day, but till now no response “ready for scheduling”. Do to that I sent them again few days ago, but now I include court records. I don’t have criminal background but only that document missed in first sending. My question is did I postpone my case due to second sending? Did I affect on my case?
April 24, 2021 at 15:01
You must know I can’t answer that with certainty.
April 24, 2021 at 10:43
Hi Brit,
Thank you for the tremendous work and support towards struggling DV winners, I have some questions regarding the lawsuits joining process for DV2021:
1) My CN is EU14***, I’ve sent the documents in December 2020 as per KCC’s request, but still haven’t received “Ready for scheduling” email, is there a requirement to have it in order to join a lawsuit ?
2) In case lawsuit succeeds, but the “Ready for scheduling” email is still not there, will I still be scheduled ?
3) In waiting list registration page of gsiskind.app.law/waiting-list which case should be selected ? “DV 2021 mandamus Goh vs Blinken” ?
4) And I assume there is only one selection option from curtismorrisonlaw.com/2021dv, namely “DV2021 Mandamus Case waiting list”, is that correct ?
5) And finally which case would you recommend to join or stick to both if that can be afforded financially ?
April 24, 2021 at 15:04
1. Read the instructions.
2. The lawsuits cannot guarantee an outcome but they will try to get some progress on the cases.
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. You choose.
April 24, 2021 at 12:42
Dear BritSimon,
please make a new video about: “How to avoid a public charge denial” Your old video was with Trump changes. Now it is not in effect. How does 1999 version of law works?
Thank you.
April 24, 2021 at 15:06
You still need to prove that you will not become a public charge – that generall means using an I-134. Read the FAQ
April 24, 2021 at 13:12
Dear Mr.brit
I am a dv2021 winner
I used my confirmation number to check the results.
I have submitted the DS-260 since August 2020
I have not received any email from kcc.
Then I realized that I have forgot the email address used in the dv lottery.(The email address that is used to recover the confirmation number). And that I was checking my other email instead.
I know it sounds reversed
I have forgot the email and I have my confirmation number.
I went the forgot confirmation number page it try to figure out which email I have used.
Unfortunately none of the my email matched.
How can I receiver the address I used in the dv lottery application.
Best regards.
Desperate for help
Please reply asap.
Yours.
John
April 24, 2021 at 15:07
Knowing the original email is not important. They will email you using the email you gave in the DS260
April 24, 2021 at 15:57
They didn’t ask for the decuments yet!
I had been 7 monthes!
April 25, 2021 at 18:08
That is what everyone is experiencing – but send your documents otherwise you will have ZERO chance.

April 24, 2021 at 16:37
Good morning Sir, DV 2021AS11xxx
Sir after sending email to Kcc asking for satisfying documents I received this reply.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Once the Kentucky Consular Center has finished processing your DS-260, you will receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.
KCC is aware of recent executive orders and is actively working on Diversity Visa (DV) Program cases. Please monitor travel.state.gov for general updates to the DV Program and related regulations. You should also check the information posted by the Embassy or Consulate you chose for the location of your interview for operations details. The process for scheduling DV appointments has not changed from previous years. Selectees will be asked to check the Entrant Status Check (ESC) website by an email sent to the address they provided as soon as an interview is scheduled. KCC cannot predict when individual cases will be scheduled for interview, and you are not asked to take any additional steps if you have already provided all your documents and information. Please remember that selection for participation in the DV Program is not a guarantee of a visa or of a visa interview.
Pl Sir does it mean KCC received my documents and under checking?
Thank you Sir for your tolerance
April 25, 2021 at 18:10
Yes
April 25, 2021 at 18:45
Dear Brit
I received sth almost similar but without the first paragraph
Thank you for your inquiry.

In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.“
Any idea what does that mean
April 25, 2021 at 19:47
Nothing useful.

Hi Brit, Thanks for your support till now for Dv Cases. My case is current and I am waiting to be schedule for Interview (CN is AS24** ). My interview location is Kathmandu, Nepal however I want to change it to the UAE as i was working in UAE and can have valid UAE Resident visa for me and my family.
1. What is the process to change interview location for me? Are they accepting to change interview location? if possible how long does it take ?
2. As we have seen there are very few cases scheduling at the moment in Kathmandu, I have seen great chance for me to get scheduled in ABD(abu Dhabi, UAE) because case number after me in AS region (AS3855) also been scheduled for interview there. So I see high chance for me in UAE than Kathmandu. Do you also think that it is like what i am thinking?
Please suggest me the best possible option and the way to do it.
Thank you very much in advance.
April 25, 2021 at 18:12
1. You can ask KCC to change the location.
2. Maybe.
It’s all an unknown this year. There are no certainties.
April 24, 2021 at 18:08
Hello, Brit, Sorry but I have a doubt, it seems that a huge amount of selectee are running toward a lawsuit to jump the line, but if everybody wins with it, who will be prioritized? i think the only lawsuit that make sense, if there will be one, is the one that will try to save the entire DV2021, am I wrong?
April 25, 2021 at 18:15
100k people won’t sign on to the lawsuits.
April 24, 2021 at 22:34
Hi Simon, could you help me, please? I’m a DV2020 winner. But my family and I haven’t been able to travel yet (long story).
1. Do you think it’s still possible to travel in May?
If yes,
2. Would they let us board the plane?
3. What kind of document should we take with us?
or
4. Have we lost our visas?
Thanks for your time and help!
April 25, 2021 at 18:17
1. Yes.
2. That is what the answer of 1 means.
3. The passports and visa packages.
4. See 1.
April 25, 2021 at 03:49
Hi Simon,
I’m DV21 winner and my case number is current now and I still didn’t receive the documents email my question is can I change the interview location to my country of eligibility through Unlocking and updating DS-260 only or i have to send an email to KCC for changing the interview location.
Thanks,
April 25, 2021 at 18:19
You cannot change your location in the DS260 – only KCC can do that. But you must send the documents now otherwise it will be too late.
April 25, 2021 at 04:38
Hello, I am the winner2021EU 38xxx. I am on Morrison’s waiting list (which will notify us on May 1) 1. Should I send the documents or wait for Morrison’s reply on 1
April 25, 2021 at 18:19
Send the bloody documents!
April 25, 2021 at 05:58
Hello BritSimon,
You mentioned that all cases became current from now on. Does it mean that all selectees will get “ready for scheduling” e-mail?
April 25, 2021 at 18:20
No!
April 25, 2021 at 09:13
Hi Mr. Simon
just wanted to know if there are spelling mistakes in the name mentioned in the birth certificate a problem while submitting documents. the spelling mistake is in the name of a derivative and not the main applicant.
will this be overlooked or an amended birth certificate needs to be submitted
April 25, 2021 at 18:23
I don’t know.
April 25, 2021 at 12:16

April 25, 2021 at 12:26
Hi simon,
i’m dv2021 winner and my case number 17600 Egypt. I received the mail of Documents which said my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview and my case is in Visa Bulletin for June 2021 interviews so what should i do? I need your advise.
April 25, 2021 at 18:31
Wait.
April 25, 2021 at 12:28
Hello brit, thanks again for your precious time and effort.. I want to find out something again..
The thing is, I am a married person and I entered as a married applicant.. I got selected and I’m done submitting my DS260 since last year September . My wife has to serve for 2 years as a just completed nursing school due to the bond they have with the government. She is now about to start. In addition, my host has also mk it clear to me that both of us can’t join him because he lives with his wife and children.. Lastly my financial status is not that good to process both of us to migrate together .Due to the above reason, we decided I migrate alone and later come for her to also join me in the state. So when filling the DS260, I indicated that she will join me later… I have submitted my Documents which is my passport, birth certificate , police certificate and marriage certificate to KCC since last year october. Ever since, I have unlocked my ds260 twice to make some little changes. Now my case number is current and waiting to be scheduled for interview. But I’m confuse… Dv2021 have till now to 30 September 2021 then our case expires. Please advise me now.. Should I unlock my DS260 again and make her join me migrate together to the state?
April 25, 2021 at 18:32
You just explained why she can’t go now, so why ask if you should change that?
April 25, 2021 at 15:40
Hi Simon, for police certificates it’s clear they have to be recent (not older than 12 months). What about marriage certificates? I got one (including official translation) by September 2017 when I got my L1A but I do not know if this one could work.
April 25, 2021 at 18:33
Depends on country specific procedures.
April 25, 2021 at 17:18
Hi Simon!
I am from the SA region, I sent my documents in December and they still do not give me confirmation that they are okay, I have 3 derivatives in my case, my husband and 2 stepchildren, we are only applying my husband and I, because my stepchildren did not have the intention to emigrate at this time with us, for that reason I did not fill ds 260 for them, the question is that one of the 2 now decided that he does want to go with us, my concern and my question is:
1 Is it okay if I fill out his ds now and ask to unlock to say that he will be migrating with us?
2 Do I send the package of documents again including his birth registration?
Thank you very much for all the valuable information you provide us.
April 25, 2021 at 18:36
1. Yes – but he will need his own DS260
2. Yes
April 25, 2021 at 20:48
Hi Simon hope you have a good day
I am ready for scheduling (my embassy wlis up for DV interviews) and started to get really tensed about not being scheduled with my number (AS38XX). I was ready for scheduling Nov 2020 but unlocked my DS260 to correct a minor name issue of my spouse in March 2021 (just when they removed the PP).
I submitted the DS260 again after unlocking and they asked for docs and I submitted again, they sent ready for scheduling again. All this unlocking and submitting everything again with confirmation of docs fine took just 3 days (very fast). In March after PP removal I also remember the KCC staff were replying quickly to everyone (very active)
1) Do you think they did it that fast for me in march because the staff were active? Or because I was previously ready for scheduling and I’m at a low number?
2) Is the reason I’m still not getting 2NL because I unlocked and submitted docs again? I read in one of your replies that KCC are scheduling based on the order they sent ready for scheduling emails. So I’m pushed back due to unlocking..?
3) Is there anything I can do beside lawsuit? I’ve already emailed KCC twice about scheduling and they keep saying DS260 is valid and docs are processed…nothing else.
Best regards to you and your family
April 25, 2021 at 20:50
1. Maybe
2. Probably not
3. So then wait.
April 27, 2021 at 14:33
anyways better to check ECS site, a site where you first discovered that you won the DV lottery.
April 25, 2021 at 22:29
Hi brit,
First of all, I would like to thank you for all the support you’re providing. Amazing and tremendous work here. No thanking is enough.
Second I have a question, for a 2020 DV obtained on September 2020, interviewed on March and was put on AP, I activated successfully my LPR status on the end of last February.
I went back home a week after, cause simply I still need to sell my business and prepare to move permanently. Covid-19 with all the uncertainty made it impossible for me to predict anything or prepare to move permanently feasible.
My wife is pregnant, not dv cause we got married after obtaining my D-Visa . So I can’t move permanently until January 2022. which is 11 months after the activation of my LPR status.
I’ve read on the FAQ, it’s low risk to leave up to one year after the first activation.
How would you approach a similar scenario in these times.
is it better to go stay a couple of weeks in the US before the 180 days are up, and come back and move permanently after that?
Or stay 11 months to prepare to move permanently and not waste traveling money?
Thanks again for your help.
April 27, 2021 at 17:52
You can stay out up to 1 year. No need to overthink it – that will be OK.
April 25, 2021 at 23:26
Hello Mr. Simon
I am writing to inquire about my situation. This month, my case number should be interviewed based on the visa bulletin, but the US embassy in Khartoum didn’t work except for essential travel, and they didn’t start the interviews for DV visas yet.
My question is can I change my interview center to another country or no?
Can I change my interview location to the nearest country’s US embassy, like Cairo, Egypt, as an example?
Or what can I do in this situation???
April 27, 2021 at 17:59
The problem is that other visas are also not scheduling as many cases as they should, and therefore they are generally not accepting cases from other countries. Cairo is normally a busy embassy but so far has only allowed scheduling of 43 cases. That is nothing. So the point is there are not good options to be able to move to another embassy and in fact we may even see some further embassy closures.
April 26, 2021 at 01:15
Hallo Brit,,there are delays in processing of police clearance in my country. If i obtain it in the next two weeks will i be too late ??
April 27, 2021 at 18:00
Technically no. However getting an interview is still very challenging.
April 26, 2021 at 06:34
Hi Btit. You recently posted your video regarding number that became current and that not all people get green card. Do you think the same mess applies to AOSers?
April 27, 2021 at 18:00
No
April 26, 2021 at 08:28
Hi Brit,
The Police clearance from my birth country has the birth certificate name.
The Police clearance from the country I am residing has the passport name.
Is that fine?
I submitted my documents in December and again in April as there was no response from KCC other than the generic ones. Case no 79XX. Extremely tensed and worried…
Thank you for all the wonderful work.
April 27, 2021 at 18:02
That should be OK
April 26, 2021 at 08:48
HI!
I am DV 2021 winner and my case number is AF31XXX current on May 2021 VB but I did not get Email to send documents to KCC. Could I get a chance for Interview?
April 27, 2021 at 18:08
You have ZERO chance unless you send your documents so send them!
April 26, 2021 at 09:40
Hello Simon, please give an advise. My case number below 500 EU, Italy. My case is ready to be scheduled since very long time and I still didn’t get a 2NL. Do you think I should try to move my case in some other embassy or just to practice some patience?
Thank you for your time.
April 26, 2021 at 11:51
HI Martina Below 500 it’s very low. IF I would be in you I would wait . Try to write the Consulate and ask when they think will be your turn.
April 26, 2021 at 16:45
Hi Giulio, thank you for the answer. I did write to Consulate, and got an answer that they are scheduling according to existing phase resumption of visa services.
I think I’ve seen you wrote here you got a visa, my congratulations! 🙂
April 26, 2021 at 18:42
Thank you , good luck for your interview!
June 21, 2021 at 16:05
Hi, Giulio.
I hope you are doing great. If it’s not bothering you, could please tell me if you were asked for I-134 on interview.
Thank you.
June 21, 2021 at 16:30
Hi Martina, I was not asked but if you never been in US before and don’t have any history they may ask it so , if I would be in you, I would get one .
June 21, 2021 at 16:52
Thank you:)
June 21, 2021 at 16:54
Ahoj Martina,
You can show savings about $10.000 per person. You don’t need that form, really.
It is about your ability to convince the consular that you wont be a public charge. If you have master’s degree and / or work experience in a ‘hot’ field, they might not even ask.
When is your interview?
Good luck! See you on the other side 🙂
June 22, 2021 at 13:56
“You don’t need that form, really.”
Careful. Some people absolutely will need that form.
April 26, 2021 at 21:16
Hi giulio..my situation is same as Martina from OC. My case status shows at NVC for long time. Can I have the Consulate address please
April 26, 2021 at 21:52
[email protected]
April 27, 2021 at 17:22
Hi Giulio, thanks for response the other day, when you sent the supporting document to kcc , did you write somthing on the email or no ? Thanks
April 27, 2021 at 18:13
Hi Claudio in any email you sent you need to write, not in the object, you need to put Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry.
April 27, 2021 at 18:09
For now Naples is as good as anywhere else.
April 26, 2021 at 10:15
There are 30 of us winners in my country, the embassy is open (10 J1 visas were issued today), and the first interview for DV21 is only on May 25, why are legal immigrant visas not a priority?
April 27, 2021 at 18:09

Hi simon,
i’m dv2021 winner and my case number AF14000 . I didn’t received the email for interviews so what should i do? I need your advise.
April 26, 2021 at 12:28
Which country are you from? and is your embassy processing DV Visas? It must be due to one of these or both.
April 26, 2021 at 12:43
Some of us are AF4XXX and i have a friend with CN AF2300 and we have not yet received our Visa Interview Letters yet our Embassy is working…
So looks like you have to exercise More Patience, we have very many of AF low case numbers less than AF10000 in Africa who are yet to receive 2NLs – Interview scheduling letters… But am sure we will get soon, By Gods Grace
April 27, 2021 at 18:48
You have to make sure your documents are processed, and then hope your embassy can accept scheduled interviews.
April 26, 2021 at 12:48
if my email with documents is correct in the title, as well as the file is described correctly, but I sent an email with a short text like: in the attachment of this email I am sending the file with the documents of my case. Can this content stay or should this email not contain any content?
April 27, 2021 at 18:50
It doesn’t matter either way.

Hi BritSimon
Am a DV2021 selectee from Ghana, CN AF630* I called the USEmbassy today about the interview scheduling. I was told that the embassy has suspended all routine visa services due to the COVID. Travel Advisory: Level 3 on the embassy website.
I was also told to call the embassy if I still don’t receive any email from the embassy if the FY is getting closer. With this information what is your for advise DV selectee in Ghana
April 27, 2021 at 18:52
There is not much you can do. Hope Ghana reopens – or hope we can get some preservation of visas after the deadline.
April 26, 2021 at 14:29
Hello mr Brit Simon,
How often do you suggest to send the documents if they didn’t answer yet?
April 27, 2021 at 18:53
Don’t just randomly send documents all the time – that won’t help. Contact KCC and ask them if your documents are processed.
April 26, 2021 at 16:38
My school had both vocational and secondary school classes. I have completed 4 years of secondary school ending with a high school diploma. Still the school’s name reflects that it is vocational too. Does the name of the school count or the type of diploma I received? Which is a high school diploma. I also have a bachelor’s. Want to make sure it’s going to pass.
April 26, 2021 at 17:06
Read the article about it here but still not sure.
Had 8 years of elementary school, 4 years of secondary school(full secondary school education not a vocational program though the school was offering them too), 1 year exchange student in the US and a bachelor’s degree. Quite stressed about it…Thank you for the help.
April 26, 2021 at 17:13
On the translation it mentions the school being vocational AND secondary school. Also mentioned I was a secondary school student.
April 26, 2021 at 17:35
May I maybe ask you to look at the translation just to be sure. Would mean a lot, thank you.
April 27, 2021 at 18:59
Ultimately the CO will decide. Not me.
April 28, 2021 at 09:38
I spoke to my translator and we should be okay with what I have. Indeed it is a CO decision wherher it’s sufficient. I just panicked a little?
April 27, 2021 at 18:58
It’s not the years that matter, its the level of education received. If your education was enough to enter a US college, then that should be accepted.
April 27, 2021 at 18:55
I can’t really answer the specific about that school. If your education was general education that should be OK.
April 28, 2021 at 09:37
Thank you for the reply. It’s general education for sure. Appreciate all your help.
April 26, 2021 at 17:44
Hello BritSimon, I hope you are doing well!
I need your opinion on this one.
We submitted KCC requested documents only once (10 days ago), but received the same answer two times (first time on 22nd April, second time on 26th April).. the answer text is identical in both cases, but the letter font is (evidently) not the same!?
“Date: 4/26/2021
Case Number: 2021EU0000****
Dear XYZ:
Congratulations! Our records indicate that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current and appointments are available. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on region and which case numbers have already been processed.”
Now patiently waiting to receive 2NL (as you have advises others), but do you have any idea why we received the same KCC answer two times?
April 26, 2021 at 17:56
Hi GanDra, may I ask your CN range and where you are interviewing?
Thank you
April 26, 2021 at 18:55
The same for me with EU 71xx
April 26, 2021 at 19:38
Hi Jenny, when did you send your documents?
April 27, 2021 at 18:59
No idea. Stop overthinking it.
April 26, 2021 at 18:23
Am I reading correctly(DV instructions) that we only need to show education/work experience proof at the interview. We don’t need to send those to KCC. Can you confirm if that is the case please thank you. Watched the video on document procedure but want to double check.
Thank you
April 26, 2021 at 18:34
Yes, that’s correct.
April 27, 2021 at 19:00
Correct. You only send KCC the documents they ask for.
April 26, 2021 at 19:25
Hey simon . When applying the original entry,we used our old passports which were phased out in 2020 then we got new ones but when we were sending documents, we only sent the new ones. Do you think it would be an issue or we just wait and carry both when we are invited for the interview. Thank you Dv 2021
April 27, 2021 at 19:01
You must send old and new to KCC. Take both to the interview.
April 26, 2021 at 19:37
Hi Simon,
My wife is a winner of DV2021 and there was a confusion in her name as I had entered her middle name as surname and the surname as middle name. The full name is matching and there are no any other errors. I forgot to do the correction in DS260 and submitted it already. Will this be an issue during the interview? Is there anything that I can do now? Appreciate your response. Thank you.
April 27, 2021 at 19:03
I can’t tell you for sure how that will be handled at the interview. I would suggest correcting the DS260.
April 26, 2021 at 19:44
Hello Simon,
What do you think for case 69** to be part of any lawsuit for dv2021?which one do you suggest me , or should I wait for a mew lawsuit,
Thank you
April 27, 2021 at 19:11
There are two waitlists for lawsuits – here:

April 27, 2021 at 03:01
Hi Brit, I’m a winner with CN AF40*** from Ghana. Want to know if it’s advisable for me to send the documents without being notified by KCC to send the required documents.
Thanks
April 27, 2021 at 19:15
YES!!!
April 27, 2021 at 06:18
Hi Simon,
Your website is a great resource. I just have a few questions.
1) I’m from OC with an under 100 case number. As you know, we have a lot less applicants than other regions, so we all have low numbers. With other regions turning current, it looks like there will be a huge wave of applications in those regions with high case numbers. Will this cause delays for Oceania, or will KCC prioritise low case numbers first so we can still get our interviews done?
2) Do you have an idea of how many interviews per month an embassy would typically do?
3) How far are interviews scheduled in advance? Is it always for the following month, or can you choose any time up to September?
4) Lastly, if further processing is required after an interview, and it is still processing on September 30th, would this automatically result in the visa being denied? In other words, do we need to do the interview a month or two before the cutoff to allow a buffer zone?
Thanks for your help.
April 27, 2021 at 19:18
1. Doesn’t affect OC
2. Varies by embassy. Sydney usually manages to handle all it’s volume by scheduling DV interviews on some Tuesday mornings.
3. 6/7 weeks. You take the time you are given – especially this year.
4. You need to go to the interview fully prepared to avoid delays because yes – after Sept 30 you’re done.
April 27, 2021 at 08:27
Hi mr. Simon. I have to send my documents for dv2021 to KCC and I have dilemma. I have scanned birth certificate from 2014. Is it okay to send that one from 2014 or to get one from this year?
April 27, 2021 at 19:24
You have to follow instructions for your country.
April 27, 2021 at 12:17
Hello Mr. Britt, why do you think Judge Mehta is taking such a long decision? Dv2020, May 5 will mark 1 month from the end of paperwork for dv 2020, what do you think when he will make a decision?
April 27, 2021 at 19:25
I don’t know.
April 27, 2021 at 14:56
Hi Simon,
My friend and his wife were asked photos to show evidence of their marriage at their interview yesterday. They didn’t have it and their visa was refused. I have my interview soon with my wife and my 2 children. I have everything ( marriage certificate, children’s birth certificate, etc. ) but my marriage was 4 years ago and I have no photos or videos of that marriage because I have lost them all with my previous PC. But I have photos of holidays and daily life with my wife and children. Is it enough evidence or showing no photos of marriage can be a principal cause of denial?
April 27, 2021 at 19:26
No. You have kids, you married 4 years ago. You will be fine.
April 27, 2021 at 15:19
Hello Brit,
1. Can you please reply with the link to the article that shows how to send documents (naming conventions, etc…)? I don’t seem to find it.
2. (Please ignore if already addressed in the above article) can I send a document and its corresponding translation in the same PDF file? The documents are two pages each and the translations are also two pages each.
Thanks in advance.
