Hello Brit,
I’m from Sri Lanka and all of my certificates are in Sinhala language, the official language of Sri Lanka. Is there a need to submit the translations to KCC as well? Or the translations needed only at the interview?
My Consulate location is Sri Lanka.
Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 15:02
As long as you interview in SL, no.
May 22, 2021 at 14:00
hello Brit,
Appreciate your marvelous effort ,I am from Egypt and I have been randomly selected , My case no. is 2022AF00012643 , is my no. high compared to whom selected for interview in the previous years ?
May 22, 2021 at 14:55
No
May 22, 2021 at 12:14
Me and my wife have registered with TAD, but no one can not answer some of our questions, both have a secondary school diploma, and as both have been self-employed since 2013, I am a welder and my wife is a building cleaner, we are even allowed to register because It means that we have to have worked for 5 years in a profession that requires a 2-year training course. Our fear is that the interview can fail. Because we cannot issue a job reference as self-employed
May 22, 2021 at 14:53
Neither of you could qualify on work experience. So the question is whether your Secondary school diploma is enough – and it would need to be the level needed to enter UNiversity. If not, then you cannot be approved for DV.

Hello Simon I am DV 2021 EU10xxx Im facing the same problem as others, I sent the documents without request, I wrote to them if they are satisfied with them but without an answer etc. What is interesting is that I contacted my embassy that KCC does not reply to e-mails and after 2 days I received a reply from embassy that they contacted KCC about my case and they replied that I did not send all the “information” they requested from me and therefore they cannot complete the administrative process and send my case to the embassy. My case is still at NVC, I believe they did not even seen my ds260 yet, because they did not even ask for documents, so i do not know what they are talking about.
May 22, 2021 at 14:45
It is possible you did not send the correct documents, but the only way to be sure is asking KCC. Unfortunately they are not being responsive. So – I have no magic solution other than “keep trying”.
May 22, 2021 at 10:41
Hi Brit,
my wife is the winner of DV 2022.
I filled her DS 260 as the main applicant. however, when I filled out my DS-260 as a “company” in the last page “sign and submit ” i have to fill in the case number and passport number
My question is,
who’s passport number should i put after filling my ds -260 form as a company in the final page “sign and submit” at the end of the form mine or my wife’s (the primary applicant) ?
May 22, 2021 at 14:43

May 22, 2021 at 10:39
Hello Mr. Brit
In DS-260 application, in the field “Interview Location” can I select another embassy because the U.S. Embassy in my country (Iraq – Baghdad) has been closed ? Do I need to get residency permission to be interviewed in another country or I am free to select anywhere and without any resident document of that place?
May 22, 2021 at 10:36
Dear mr. Simon, we are considering dropping from Jacob and joining new Big lawsuit (it is possible). We understand it is our choice and that you cannot decide for us, but do you think it would be a stupid idea? 😀
We really think dv2021 specific lawsuit would be a smarter choice. BR
May 22, 2021 at 14:41
I don’t know if that is even possible. Discuss with the lawyers.
May 22, 2021 at 17:55
It is possible, I checked. Just wanted to hear your 2 cents. Thanks
May 23, 2021 at 15:16
I think Curtis’ perspective on that is more valuable than mine. He has told me he doesn’t think it is a good idea, because Jacob has the mandamus aspect already built in, Judge Chen is already engaged, and we have no idea where Goodluck will be assigned. In other words you would be increasing your risk – I believe that summarizes his position pretty well.
May 23, 2021 at 20:07
Thank you for your reply dear mr. Simon!
May 22, 2021 at 09:42
Dear Mr:Simon;
1.can I use 2 addresses for a given period age after 16 as during my job i came home back on weekends and stayed at my rented room on weekdays?
2.when signing and submitting my husbund’s(accompaning spouse’s) application should i use his passport number or my passport number?
Thank you.
May 22, 2021 at 14:41
1. One was your permanent address – use that.
2. His
May 22, 2021 at 16:13
neither me or my husband have never lived in the addresses which is on our marriage certificate .it’s just a address that was used to register the marriage.how am is suppose to cope with it.
will that be an issue when i’m been interviewed if i don’t include it ?
May 23, 2021 at 15:09
No one is going to care. Just give your actual address.
May 22, 2021 at 16:17
To be honest neither I or my husband have never lived in the addresses which are mentioned on our marriage certificates.should I include those addresses in the after 16 list or else what should I do?
May 22, 2021 at 16:20
Will that be a issue if i not include those addresses? If i don’t include them what should i tell when i”m interviewed ?
May 24, 2021 at 01:42
I thought they would compare my address with marriage certificate address.
is it required to send the marriage ceritificate copy along with other documets to KCC?
May 25, 2021 at 02:06
Yes, but the address shown on the certificate is not important.
May 22, 2021 at 09:40
Greetings Dear Brit. I am DV 2020 winner, is it possible to come with a tourist visa to US and request a status change? Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 14:40
It is possible, but not normally recommended.
May 22, 2021 at 09:33
I forgot to add that he is just my host and not my sponsor, i have got a different person to fill the I-134 form for me
May 22, 2021 at 08:40
Hi I am from Nepal. current in VB and DQ. currently residing in UAE. I have residence visa of uae.
To transfer my case from Kathmandu to Abudhabi .. I requested Abudhabi to do so. After a day They asked for residence visa copy. I sent it. After that they didn’t reply. I made follow up inquiry too but they didn’t reply. Its been around 12 days. I haven’t got reply. Why? why they are not replying me? Are they trying to transfer my case? how can I be assured ?
May 22, 2021 at 14:36
Well it sounds like you are doing it wrong. You should be asking KCC to schedule your case in UAE.
May 22, 2021 at 06:54
Dear Brit ,
I have a case number 2022AS15XXX , and i have my wife and my daughter included in the eDV .
now my wife is pregnant and most probably the date of birth of my new baby is in the begining of December .
Noting that i am lebanese and living in Saudia Arabai and to obtain a lebanese passport here requires minimum 3 to 4 months
As per your videos and previous visa bulletin casenumbers my case number will be probably between march to may to be current .
What do you advice ( for sure you will say wait and see 🙂 )
Thank You
May 22, 2021 at 14:31
You can submit now, or submit as soon as the baby is born. If you don’t have the passport, use the passport of one of the parents, and when you send the documents to KCC include an explanation that the passport for the baby is applied for. You will probably have the passport before the interview.
Look – no W&S needed!
May 22, 2021 at 05:25
Hi brit,
I wnated to ask you for the ds 260 where they ask us about how many children we have…fo we have to mention children who have already 21….
Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 14:28
In the DS260 you list all children including those over 21.
May 22, 2021 at 05:17
Hello Brit,
Iam Dv2022,and i would like to know when filling DS 260,can i change my email address? or i should put exactly the one used on my application of Dv lottery.
Hoping to hear fromyou.
Thank you.
Yvonne.
May 22, 2021 at 14:27
Ahhh EMAIL address – yes you can give your new email address…
May 22, 2021 at 04:58
Hell Brit,
Iam Dv 2022 and i would to know when filling DS 260 can i change my email address?or i should put exactly the one used on my application for Dv lottery’
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thank you.
Yvonne
May 22, 2021 at 14:27
The current address should be wherever you live now.
May 22, 2021 at 02:31
Hello Brit Simon
Thank you for all your are doing. I have a question to ask
I am a dv 2022 winner with case number AF00032xxx. At the time of the dv application I had a diploma from school but on the application portal I didn’t see a diploma. I selected a university degree. Would that cause problems for my Visa?
After my initial application, I continued the university and will be having my advanced diploma in August. I am waiting on that before filling out my ds 260.
I want to know if me selecting university degree when I was applying for the dv and actually filling my educational qualification in my form ds 260 with advanced diploma as my highest level of education if it’s going to cause problems
May 22, 2021 at 14:22
No problem.
May 22, 2021 at 01:57
Hello Britsimon, Thank you so much for all the great answers. My sister was selected for the 2022 DV AF00040***. Based on what I have read, she should not expect to hear anything back (she already submitted her DS-260 last week.) It’s also scary to read that due to her high CN, she might even not get a visa number afterall.
May 22, 2021 at 01:28
Hi Simon, I have won the DV Lottery for 2021. I have filled the DS-260. My case number is AF49XXX. I also hold a B1/B2 Visa. I have a son in the US who is an F-1/International Student. Do you recommend that I come to the states and file for adjustment of status? And is my son eligible to do so. And how can he be prepared for the consular processing.
May 22, 2021 at 01:57
You need to make your mind up – you are running out of time. DoS rule applies a 90 day “suspicion” if you file to adjust status within 90 days of entry. So – you may not have enough time to do it safely.
However, if you feel you have no chance anyway, it might be your last hope. Then your son could adjust status with you. Full AOS info here – https://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2021-aos-only.342993
May 22, 2021 at 01:24
Hi birt,
My case no# is 2022oc15xx wanted to ask you if i would be able to get an interview this fiscal year
Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 01:58
Well obviously I cannot be 100%certain – but you have a chance.
May 23, 2021 at 03:32
So it is probable that my case no# would most probably be over the cut off this year if there is a cut off and I am aware u cannot be sure as of now bcz you do not know how many selectees there are yet but if you could tell from ur experience ???…..
May 23, 2021 at 18:20
Probable?? No.
Later we will know more. Patience.
May 23, 2021 at 19:19
But my case no# is not that bad if we can consider the previous years right like dv2020 and dv2021 if they were not affected by the pandemic….
May 22, 2021 at 00:04
Hi brit,
I just had a question regarding the ds 260….i had 4 children from which 3 are over 21 i wanted to know in the form when they ask us to state the number of children should i include all 4 children or jst the ones who are under 21…
Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 01:59
Include all children.
May 21, 2021 at 23:20
Hello dear Simon
I would like to ask you if you know how many lawsuits are in action for dv-2021 and if any have already been successful. I would like your opinion about it.
Thank you
May 22, 2021 at 01:49
Lawsuits worked in DV2020, but none have reached judgment this year so far.
May 21, 2021 at 22:08
Hello sir,
I Have been selected for the processing of the dv lottery.
I use my high school certificate to apply for the 2022 dv lottery but I have polytechnic certificate which was aqua in 2014 but I didn’t add it when I was applying for the dv lottery . I want to asked if can I use my polytechnic certificate to fill the ds 260 now that I have been selected.
May 22, 2021 at 01:47
You didn’t apply with any certificate. You just complete the full education in the ds260.
May 21, 2021 at 20:51
Sis Kelsie I couldn’t agree with you more! i think we must ask the Queen to call back home to knight him!
May 22, 2021 at 01:38
“Sir Simon of California” yeah – that sounds good!
May 21, 2021 at 20:19
Hello Brit, would you be able to view my photo to see if it will be considered passable for the upcoming DV lottery? I can send the picture through email if that is fine with you. Hope to hear from you. Thank you
May 22, 2021 at 01:37
No – but use this – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD9xUqNudUk
May 21, 2021 at 19:58
Hi Brit!
It’s Kelsie again, the Aussie who got stuck in Mexico! I followed your advice, bombarded them with emails, and had just started talking with an Attorney when I FINALLY got a response from the Ciudad Juarez Consulate! It was an unsatisfactory response, but I am sure that’s what pushed them to get the work done and today I received my passport, with diversity visa in the mail!!
I cannot thank you enough for your advice and quick responses, being able to reach out to you was my one breath of sanity during a very stressful process. So truly, thank you.
We as DV lottery winners are so, SO lucky to have you.
Take care Brit, you’re a true legend.
Kelsie
May 22, 2021 at 00:44
Holy moly that took a ,crazy amount of time. There seems to have been a visa printing problem that was fixed a couple of days ago. Glad you finally got yours. Best of luck in the States!
May 21, 2021 at 19:41
Hello Brit, am a dv 2020 winner ,any news about those of us who could not attend the interview.
May 22, 2021 at 00:43
Still waiting.
May 21, 2021 at 18:24
Hi Brit,
I am an Iranian DV2021 winner (~AS2000) and unfortunately my embassy of choice (Ankara) is still not processing DVs. I have two questions:
1) I was thinking of signing up for https://curtismorrisonlaw.com/dv2021, however I was not sure how the payments work (it says all upon coming to US and $0 for Iranians before that). My question is more like if I sign up for this, but end up having an interview scheduled for me regardless of the hearings, do I still need to pay the charges once I come to US? and what happens if I don’t get an interview either way (hearings don’t go well, etc) and still can’t come to US? do I still need to pay the charges?
2) will jacobvbiden on June 11th change the faith of dv2021 winners as well? I am not involved in any of that, just wondering if https://curtismorrisonlaw.com/dv2021 is still necessary for my case if that works out. Of course, if I don’t have to pay in case things don’t work out, I will definitely still sign up and as you mentioned on your youtube video, there is no harm.
Thanks for always helping folks with their questions! Much appreciated.
May 22, 2021 at 00:39
1. Yes. You would pay if you get your visa.
2. See 1.
May 21, 2021 at 18:04
Hello
Im DV 2021 EU 71xx . I got confirmation of doc from KCC On April. I joined the Morrisons Lawsuit too. My question is Do you think that those with confirmed doc. Could have better chances from the judge than those without confirmation? Do I have any chence ? Thank you !
May 21, 2021 at 19:08
Hi Jenny,
The way the litigation works is that the defendant (DOS) will likely try to adjudicate the plaintiffs’ cases and ask to dismiss the suit. Yes, you have a chance IMHO.
You should think about your consulate or embassy – it seems to me they do not process DV at all, otherwise you would be scheduled by now. Try to confirm that from public sources, then try to find an embassy close to you that works and ask them to take your case – then also tell KCC
Yes, plaintiffs with confirmed docs can be adjudicated faster. But worry not, still more than 53.000 DV2021 visas available.
(If I were you I would also join such Mandamus litigation)
I hope that helps!
May 22, 2021 at 00:37
Maybe – I really can’t guess how things will work out.
May 21, 2021 at 17:54
Hi Brit!
Hope you’re doing great!
I’m a DV 21 selectee from Nepal. With all cases gone current and Kathmandu Embassy not conducting even a single interview till today ( probable they won’t do it at least until next one month or so), is lawsuit the only hope for the Nepalese now?
May 22, 2021 at 00:36
I can’t say “the only hope”.
May 21, 2021 at 17:38
Hi Britsimon, I am presently in the United States on a visit visa since December 2019 and after six months of stay in the United States I did an extension because of the pandemic breakout, and since then the immigration hasn’t replied me and when ever I check my case Status it just indicates case pending, so it happened I was selected for the DV lottery 2022, pls I wish to ask what am supposed to do right now , my country of origin is Ghana, Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 00:36
You probably cannot stay until your case is current. What is your case number?
May 22, 2021 at 09:07
Hi Brits, Do I have to resend my documents to KCC again after I unlocked my case and made some changes in my Ds 260 forms?
May 22, 2021 at 14:37
Not normally – because the documents themselves would not normally have changed.
May 21, 2021 at 16:59
Hi there,
1) Does a pending i130 petition affects a DV lottery Selectee’s Visa prospects in Interview?
2) Is DV Lottery considered a petition?? I read somewhere that if one has 2 or more petition during a fiscal year, then one cannot be issued a Diversity visa. Is that correct?
Please advise. Thank you.
May 22, 2021 at 00:33
1. No
2. No that is not correct.
May 22, 2021 at 05:13
Thank you for confirming.
May 21, 2021 at 15:58
Hi, Mr.Brit Simon,
I am filling my DS260 form and I am a university third year student. For the number of educational institutions I attended what shall I choose 2 or 1, because I have attended and finished high school and I am now attending my university. At the time of interview it is unlikely that I will get my degree. Shall I say ”University No Degree”. If I say so what about Date of attendence from, Date of attendence to. What shall I fill in these boxes.
Secondly, if I am university student now will they consider my grading reports in time of interview as I am outsatanding student.
Thirdly, what shall I do in this ‘yes’ or ‘No’ question, (Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?)
Because I don’t have any documents and if I choose No it says explain.
Thanks alot,
May 22, 2021 at 00:35
1. Add up and list schools ATTENDED (past tense) since age 12. Your current school would be your current occupation.
2. They won’t care.
3. Answer no.
May 21, 2021 at 15:10
Hi Simon,
Thank you for your endless efforts to help DV cases.
Do you have any advice on how one could persuade to get a medical exam done before having the interview itself scheduled? In the event that September comes along and plaintiffs start getting interviews close to the end of the Fiscal year where time will be scarce.
Was thinking perhaps an email from the embassy but I’m not sure they would help with that before accepting the interview (especially those that haven’t even scheduled a single DV case yet). Got any ideas?
May 22, 2021 at 00:32
September interviews will be scheduled in July or possibly early august. There is time for medicals.
May 23, 2021 at 17:23
Thank you Brit!
I hope so.
I’m only asking because if Goh gets a positive outcome which most likely won’t happen until early August, then there’s a possibility we could see some cases be scheduled in September, for September, as it’s doubtful that the government can clear through all plaintiffs in July or August.
I’ve seen you post about being on “Medical hold”, and it sounded like a scenario that could be detrimental in September.
May 23, 2021 at 19:18
Well let’s wait and see.
May 21, 2021 at 14:55
Hey sir I forgot to add can I still apply this year for DV lottery despite being selected
Thanks
May 22, 2021 at 00:31
Yes
May 21, 2021 at 14:48
Hi, sir I have a few questions hope you will be able to answer them.
I got selected for 2022 Africa, my questions are below
1. I lived in India for an year and half during my marriage, but I’m not a citizen there, so do I require a Police clearance from there or only my native land?
2. Do I as the principal applicant get interviewed myself, or is my family also interviewed?
3. I watched your Q&A YouTube video and heard some thing about sponsors could you please elaborate?
May 22, 2021 at 00:31
1. You would normally require a police cert for there – but read the reciprocity page for India.
2. All together.
3. https://britsimonsays.com/all-about-public-charge-affidavit-of-support-i-134/
May 21, 2021 at 14:29
Hi dear Brit
I checked the status and my entry has been randomly selected for the green card. Now I realized that I have wrongly entered my spouse date of birth, can I correct it while filling DS-260?
May 22, 2021 at 00:29
Yes.
May 22, 2021 at 19:55
Hi,Sir Brit Simon
I’m here to ask you couple of Questions.
1.One of my relatives is DV. 2022 Selectee, without filling passport number instead of filling in the option B,so is there
any problem when is filling in DS-260 form?
2.The other is,Somalis Dv selectees is interviewed in Nairobi, kenya but unfortunately, this time there is political deadlock between the two countries wich results in suspension of the Travel. So Can he change interview place(post) into DJibouti.
May 23, 2021 at 15:22
1. That depends whether he/she had any legitimate justification for not including the passport. If it was simply that he/she couldn’t get a renewed passport, that will probably end in denial.
2. Maybe. Nearer the interview that can be worked out.
May 21, 2021 at 14:15
Hi Simon,
Hope you’re doing fine, my wife has been selected for further processing the Diversity Visa 2022, but when we applied we selected Venezuela as our country of birth, but we selected Spain as our country of eligibility, we thought we chose the right option since we are living in Spain as Spanish citizens and we both have Spanish nationality, because our grandparents were Spanish immigrants in Venezuela.
However, after looking for more information we don’t know if we made a mistake by choosing Spain as our country of eligibility, so we would like to know how to proceed:
Should we continue with the process and fill the DS-260 forms or are we disqualified?
Thank you!
Regards,
Jose
May 22, 2021 at 00:27
You will be disqualified. You are selected in the wrong region (and have an EU number I assume). That cannot be fixed or forgiven.
May 21, 2021 at 13:37
“Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? ”
which are those vaccinations?
If I’m not vaccinated what should I write in the box?
2.what if I don’t have documents to prove previous job experiences of my spouse?
should I still include those previous jobs?
May 21, 2021 at 19:13
1) with very small effort you can find that information – try google. Try to get necessary vaccines before medical.
You should tell the truth, someone here said earlier something like “I was vaccinated but I dont have any proof, I am willing to take any vaccine doctor recommends”
2) education/job experience has to be proven ONLY for the principal applicant. It’s clearly communicated 🙂
I would do that.
May 22, 2021 at 00:25
1. No is the best answer. Insert something along the lines of you will have the vaccinations at the medical.
2. If your spouse is not the winner, that doesn’t matter at all as only the principal selectee needs to meet the education/work experience requirement. But detail the jobs anyway for transparency.
May 21, 2021 at 12:02
Hi brit,
I’m refugee living in uganda, i got my refugee card and protection, my original country whom i fled is ethiopia,
Friend of mine who is in ethiopia applied the dv for me without passport by choosing passport not applicable because of communist country…. and i got selected for dv2022 and i want to fill the ds260 form
1- when filling ds260 form, should i fill it with my refugee card instead of passport since i don’t have passport?
2- in the interview what should i expect and how to overcome?
May 22, 2021 at 00:15
1. Yes
2. The CO will decide whether your refugee status justifies your entry without a passport. I can’t tell you what will be the outcome.
May 21, 2021 at 11:22
Hi Brit
The number of plaintiffs in various cases is very large, perhaps reaching 10 thousand in total, knowing that most of them are not DQs
Does this make it difficult for them to obtain a judgment in favor of the plaintiffs, especially since the plaintiffs’ documents must be reviewed and this requires a very long time?
May 22, 2021 at 00:14
Goh is less than 1000, Goodluck is currently 4000, Jacob is 400. Not 10,000.
Curtis Morrison believes that the more the better – since he reasons it is harder to ignore large numbers of plaintiffs all displaying the same symptoms.
May 21, 2021 at 09:30
Hi Simon,
Is it possible to be disqualified on the interview (after winning the lottery) over the entry photo, e.g., reusing the same photo for previous entries?
May 22, 2021 at 00:10
It is possible, not common or likely, unless the photo is obviously old.
May 21, 2021 at 08:29
Hi Simon,
A winner of dv 2021 with my family with case number AF 31xxx. We are Cameroonians.
Our case number had already been published in the VB of May. We sent an email to Kcc in regards to our case ( case status updates) last march. They told us that our ds 260 forms are currently processing and we should wait for their notification for docs submission.
When I came in contact with this blog, you advised me not to wait but to go ahead and send documents. We submitted our docs one week ago and we got an automatic reply that they have received it and they are currently processing our docs.
Looking at our case number and the fact that regions are now current in the month of June and July, do we have a high chance to be interviewed before the end of the fiscal year in the month of September?
Knowing that our embassy had been operating and are currently issuing visas.
Am really worried sir. When I read different cases of different applicants in this blog it’s really scary.
What do you have to say with regards to our case?
Thanks!

No you don’t have a “high chance”. I suggest you join a lawsuit to improve your chance. Read about it here:

Hi Simon,
could you please advise How to fill DS260 regarding my name variants.
I was born in Ukraine. My original name is Viktoria Silvashi written in my documents as Вікторія Сільваші. I no longer have documents from Ukraine as I became a Hungarian citizen. Now on my Hungarian documents says I was born Viktoria Silvashi. And in my maiden name in native alphabet (Hungarian) is Szilvási Viktória. My recent married name is Viktoria Kovacs (Kovács Viktória in hungarian native) So there is one field for name in native alphabet, but in my case I have three variant in native. According to the rules I can only use English characters in any other fields. How I supposed to fill my form?
Thanks you!
Vicky

All I can advise is use your full legal name now (in English) and then use the other names section if you feel that is needed.

When I filed, I chose a wife, where I had to fill in my wife’s name and details. galay. to fill in what is written in my name
What is the solution for me? Should I leave my wife or is she satisfied with her DS-260 data and I say it is a problem for me.

I don’t understand what you are saying/asking.

Hi Brit,
Thanks for your continuous advice and support!
As all regions are current, it possible that KCC are scheduling interviews in order of the date that documents were received/processed? I have noticed a trend of selectees in my country (AUS) and region (OC) with higher case numbers receiving their 2NLs. Most of these selectees appeared to have submitted their DS260 and documents shortly after being selected last year (June-July 2020).
Cheers

First, the way you have written the case number gives me no idea what case number it is – the idea is to make the range clear.
Steps to take can be understood by starting with the guide – linked above.

Hi, brits,
We submitted Our documents to KCC yesterday. but we didn’t write anything on the body of the mail, we just attached scanned following documents with translation.
1) Passport
2) Police certificate
3) Birth Certificate
4) Marriage Certificate
Me and my wife never serve in the military and we don’t have any court records. Should we mention it on the email body when sending documents to KCC? or it’s just fine to send them without an explanation about it why we weren’t able to obtain these two documents?
If we need to explain to them why didn’t we weren’t able to obtain these documents, it’s okay to send another email to [email protected]?
Thanks!
May 21, 2021 at 03:17
No need to explain anything.

Thank you for your advice brits,
I got my Japan Police certificate yesterday, it’s sealed and cannot open, I take a picture of the envelope front and backside and send it to the KCC. It’s okay?
Thanks

We don’t know much about DV2022 case numbers yet – but in a normal year it would be OK.

Dear Brit
I am from Sri Lanka and DV winner in 2021. My case number is 2021AS33xxx i sent my DS 260 form last July. But not yet any Emil for submit supporting documents.
I saw in my DS260 confirmation latter “You do not need to submit any documents to the Kentucky Consular Center. The KCC will review your application and will notify you If any of the information you have provided is insufficient or incomplete”
and in my 1NL can see “You will receive document submission instructions by e-mail after KCC processes and accepts the DS-260 application forms for you and any accompanying family members.”
Also can see in http://dvselectee.state.gov website “After KCC receives and processes the DS-260 application form for you and your accompanying family members, you will receive instructions for how to submit required supporting documents.”
Therefor not yet submitted any documents
It mean my application yet processing ?
If so,How will i submit my supporting documents ?
May 21, 2021 at 03:16
You should have sent documents already, I have been saying that for months. You are probably too late, but if you want to try, you can do so.

Dear Simon, I am DV2021 pass
So far I have not received any confirming for the documents from KCC.
Even though my number DV2021 is 11***. And my interview embassy must be in London .
my Question: Do you have any updates on the London Embassy interviews?
Secondly I fear waiting any longer is a waste of time. So I find it right to join any of the lawsuit .
The question: Can joining a lawsuit affect the opportunity for an interview during the remaining months ??
Is there any advice on how to join a lawsuit, I am completely ignorant of the way to do so.
May 21, 2021 at 03:13
London has ONE case scheduled.
The lawsuit might help – no guarantee.

Dear Mr BritSimon,
I have a dual nationality and I have valid international passports from both countries. Can I use my second citizenship as my primary passport for the application in Personal in DS260 form.
if yes, the second question.
all my supporting documents I have only from my mother / original country (xxx) such as birth certificate, University degrees,..etc. Is that OK and will not cause any problem for me?
REgards,
Ahmed

1. Yes
2. No problem.
May 30, 2023 at 20:18
Hi Simon,
To follow on from this old advice…
I’m in a similar situation as the poster.
2024OC37XX primary applicant
Applied and won under OC region. Living in OC. Hold EU region passport (that is in eligible countries list)…
I would prefer to “link” a visa (if i win) to my EU region dual passport/nationality. Clefs from the DV2023 Global telegram group suggests that, “The passport is only tied to the GC for a hot minute, really only your first entry, after that you get your green card which stands alone for entry back into the US.”
1) Would you agree with this information above given your wisdom?
2) If true, is it fine as indicated in your response to list my non-OC region passport as my primary travel document in “personal infomation 2” section.
The reason I ask I would like to renounce my OC nationality asap (even within the first 6 months prior to USA entry) so I would prefer to “link” my application to the EU nationality/passport (even though I didn’t win in that region it that makes sense)
Cheers for your help

1. Yes it is correct.
2. Yes that is fine.
