Hello Simon
I’m from Sri lanka 2022AS69XX
According to the VB I am supposed to have my interview in February but I checked my visa status and it said “at NVC”. What does this mean? Should I email KCC?
January 13, 2022 at 16:32
Many cases are delayed, so it probably means you would get a later interview. You can email them to ask.
January 12, 2022 at 05:34
Hi Brit
Hope doing well
Is it clear that which category or DV numbers would be interviewed for DV2020 if they start the interview in April?
January 13, 2022 at 16:32
No
January 12, 2022 at 07:30
Hi Simon
I’m one of DV2022 winner’s AF379XX from sudan. I was asking KCC if they processed my DS260 and they send me this email. So Is my DS260 processed or not? please i need your answer Mr. Simon. Thank u
Thank you for your inquiry.
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Please refer to the visa bulletin at https://travel.state.gov to locate the current numbers being processed. This bulletin is updated after the 15th day of each month. Once an interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check dvprogram.state.gov.
Once the DS-260 for the Principal Applicant has been submitted, the Interview Location can only be updated by the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC). Please send your request to [email protected]. You will need to include information that explains why you need the interview location changed. Unless they are in the U.S. and adjusting status, all applicants on the case will be scheduled for interview with the Principal Applicant. You should contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate directly to arrange separate interviews, if needed. If you need to change your interview location because your residency has changed, you will need to include the new address in your email along with your case number, Principal Applicant’s name, and complete date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY). You will also need to request that KCC unlock your DS-260, so that you can update your application with your new address. (Please note that Post Office Boxes and mailing addresses in care of another person do not justify a change of interview location.) These steps are not necessary if you are requesting a reassignment because your case is currently assigned to either Embassy Baghdad or Embassy Kabul. If your interview has already been scheduled, you must contact the embassy at which you have been scheduled to determine if your case can be transferred to a different location.
January 13, 2022 at 16:34
“Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. “.
That’s clear.

Good day Mr.Simon. I recently had a Glance on the Ceac dv 2022 raw data and I saw my case number (2022AF134xx) at NVC. And give that my CN is current on January. What could be the possible interpretation of such? Thank u for ur time and consideration
January 13, 2022 at 16:34
It means the other case was ready before you.
January 12, 2022 at 09:17
HI Brit, my case number is 2022EU9xxx. I received an email from [email protected] with instruction to register and schedulle my interview. I did it, and my interview is schedulled for feb.4th.
Till this moment I havent recevived 2NL (still 1NL when I login at ceac) and at dvprogram.state.gov my case is still In transit. For the list of documect to prepare for and interview it says to bring printed out 2NL with interview date. Should I contact someone regarding this missing 2NL or you think that it will be updated in the meantime
Thanks
January 13, 2022 at 16:35
It should be updated soon.
January 26, 2022 at 01:37
Hi, I am in the same situation, email received from usvisa-info.com, itw scheduled in Paris on February 16, my case is Ready but no 2NL on the ESC website… do you finally received it or still not ?
January 12, 2022 at 12:16
Hi Mr. Simon
I hope you doing well, I got my 2NL and my interview will be in 14 February, I just wanted to thank you for all your advice about dv process. I have a request if it would be possible for you please make video about interview tips such as common questions that might be ask and how to answer to questions.
January 13, 2022 at 16:55
I believe there is already a video like that, but you can read some 1st hand accounts here: https://britsimonsays.com/interview-experience-stories/

Good evening
In the study information in the ds260 file, I wrote that I study at the university… I did not graduate from it.
As for at the highest level of education, I wrote a high school diploma. I did not write a university no degree. Should I change it to university no degree, or is this a normal thing?
thanks for your time
January 13, 2022 at 16:59
Doesn’t matter.
January 12, 2022 at 17:54
Hi Brit Simon, i had a quick question i am a DVS lottery winner 2022. My number is OC15**. I am currently in the united states and graduated college in California in December 2022 and am now on my OPT which ends January of 2023. I have the option to process my application as a adjustment of status or consular interview. which do you recommend. I want my green card as soon as possible and am willing to head back to New Zealand if i have a interview.
January 13, 2022 at 17:02
There is a useful AOS resource in the link below including a comparison of AOS and CP methods.

Hello Birt, we would like to reschedule our interview which is on 2feb 2022.
We emailed the embassy and they said that we can do that, but in order to reschedule a new date we have to wait for the current appointment to pass.
After that we simply log in on ustravel and we pick a date in the calendar as per the embassy official words.
Do you had similar cases before? Is it something bad to reschedule?
January 13, 2022 at 17:03
Obviously that creates a risk that they will not have capacity later.
January 12, 2022 at 18:37
Hello mr Simon, DV2022 selectee here from iraq, i saw that you can reassign your interview location for iraqi/afghani selectees.
my question is, when i submitted the initial entry the (EDV) i made a mistake on my last name (wrote my middle name also in my last name mistakenly) , when i ask kcc to reassign my case should i type my full accurate name or the the one i wrote in the original entry?
thanks for your guidance!
January 13, 2022 at 17:04
Match the DS260
January 12, 2022 at 18:52
Hi birtt hope you are doing well!
I recived an email from my embassy and it says that i have been scheduled for interview on 1 february .
But the ESC PAGE isnt updated yet .
Do i need to communicate with embassy or KCC , , or should i wait to be updated .
January 13, 2022 at 17:05
If you have the appointment details that is all you need.
January 12, 2022 at 19:27
Hi Brit!
Haven’t heard much about “BBB” these days ! Have they dumped it into the trash? Or, is something coming out of the senate soon?
January 13, 2022 at 17:05
No movement on that for now.
January 12, 2022 at 21:04
Hi Brit
My wife had got her Police certificate from India (Indian Embassy in Morocco) for her long stay in India. The PCC is one and half year old and she has not visited India again after receiving her PCC. Should she get new PCC again from India or the old one will be ok for interview?
January 12, 2022 at 23:07
Hello Simon
Im dv22 AS2** in the CEAC im ready but no appointment yet
I went to Spain for around 5 months in 2020 and for 3 months in 2021 I didn’t mention it in my houses address because I thought this wasn’t needed I have Spain in my travel history and I have a paper saying the purpose of visiting Spain from the embassy visiting my boyfriend should I ask the embassy now to unlock so I add this information or just tell them in the interview and is this going to effect my case?
Thanks you so much
January 13, 2022 at 17:35
Too late to unlock now. Frankly I don’t understand why you omitted Spain. You should raise that in the interview.
January 12, 2022 at 23:24
Hello BritSimon,
I went back to the site to see my ds260, where I entered my informations. My ds260 is not locked, it just says “complete” with the message that they have received the ds260, with my case number etc. I sent it in may 2021, so long time ago now. but if I click on the ds260, it says I can edit it, so I can modify things. But if I edit it, I have to send it back to the KCC and I’m afraid that it will change somthing in my application, my case number, etc.
I also forgot to say that I went to the US in 2019 as well, and I didn’t mark it on the form when i sent it in may 2021.
and also, for the question ” what job do you intend in the US ” what can put as a self employed ? I put ” other ” and then ” cars detailing, cars dealership and pro wrestling ” because I do pro wrestling too and wish to work with that there too.
Thank you
January 13, 2022 at 17:34
If it says “complete” it is locked. You can review, but not edit.
On employment, don’t get too specific – especially not listing “pro wrestling”. It would be as likely/sensible as stating you are planning to become an astronaut.

Dear Simon
I am a DV Lottery Winner 2022 OC11XX.
I have question on the medical assessment. My wife suffers from Depression and Anxiety and is on a high dose of medication to keep this in check. No suicidal issues or anything like that at all. Will this be detrimental to her medical assessment?. Will we have any issues with the visa officer in regards to this?.
January 13, 2022 at 17:36
No.
January 13, 2022 at 03:28
Mr Brit
I’m 2022 DV winner.
How to participate to the Law suit filed by jessy Bless.
Greatly appreciate all the effort you are giving to to DV winners to make their Dv dream successful.

If Government has not given the report, what happen?

January 13, 2022 at 17:36
They filed their report simply saying they don’t expect to start DV2020 work until around April.
January 13, 2022 at 06:08
Hello sir I’m Sofiane from Algeria and I’m staying in USA as j1 visa but I’m subject 2years home country in my ds 2019 but my wife she’s in Algeria with my daughter got selected on DV lottery 2022 CN41k could please advise the best thing to do on this situation please
You are doing amazing job
thank you in advance
January 13, 2022 at 17:49
You might want to discuss with a lawyer. Depending on timing of the 2 years, and unless you can get a waiver for the home residency requirement, you might be better staying in the USA, and adjust status once your wife comes to the USA.
January 13, 2022 at 11:35
Hi Brit wish you all the best!
As you know in Ethiopia the US embassy is not working. How can I start transfer to Djibouti or Kenya and When?
January 13, 2022 at 17:52
You can ask KCC to transfer you. ASAP.

January 13, 2022 at 17:53
DV2020 cases won’t be processed until April at least.
January 13, 2022 at 17:14
Hi Brit,
OC6** winner here.
I have received ready for scheduling, however when I checked my application status it said at NVC.
My case is current for January, however my embassy in Montreal did not receive my case yet.
Should I email KCC why my case is at NVC and that my embassy has not received my case yet?
Thanks
January 13, 2022 at 18:32
There is no harm in asking KCC.
January 16, 2022 at 20:15
So I did and they send the same automatic email “your case is ready for scheduling”.
January 18, 2022 at 15:44
OK. You can wait and see whether Montreal takes a lot of interviews or not in March.
January 13, 2022 at 17:32
Hello Simon
I want to ask
My question is
I submitted my DS 260 last year November and KCC didn’t email me asking for any other document,so I didn’t submit any document, unitl now they remove the document processing,my case number is AF30kxxx,will I still be scheduled for interview,
January 13, 2022 at 18:34
They made a change to the process in December. Documents are no longer required by KCC but you will show them at the interview.
January 13, 2022 at 17:33
Hi Sir,
15 days ago, I emailed KCC and received that they are processing my case but yesterday when I emailed, Today I received that Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member, and you have provided all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center.
January 13, 2022 at 17:37
So can you tell what it means and what should I do?
January 13, 2022 at 18:34
It is DQ. Now you wait to be scheduled, once current.
January 13, 2022 at 18:54
I am current sir for November but haven’t received my 2NL?
So can I expect 2NL in 2 to 3 weeks as you have just said on visa bultin
My case number is as14** from Afghanistan
January 13, 2022 at 20:31
You will need to be moved to another embassy.
January 13, 2022 at 21:58
I have already transferred my embassy from Kabul embassy to US consulate in Mumbai.
So should I expect 2NL in 2 to 3 weeks?
January 13, 2022 at 22:06
Hi Simon,
DV2022-17k – it seems I won’t be current for a while.
I originally selected London for my interview, however as I’ve been offered a new job in Ireland, I am thinking to transfer my case to Dublin.
Do I have to obtain the Irish Police Certificate if interviewed in Dublin?
Thank you!
January 14, 2022 at 00:28
No – unless you are there more than 6 months before the interview.
January 14, 2022 at 01:42
Mr Simon
I watched Your Q& A vedio on jessy law suit and there mention that there had a Zoom meeting about lawsuit.
Please send the link on that Zoom meeting.
Greatly appreciate your support.
Thank you
January 14, 2022 at 05:30
The zoom meeting was live and is now ended.
Two lawsuits are currently onboarding:
Immpact – (Chuck/Greg/Aaron) https://www.immpactlitigation.com/dv-2022-delays/
Jesse Bless – (formerly with AILA and DoJ prior to that) – https://www.wasdenbanias.com/dv2022interest
I expect Curtis to announce something in the coming weeks.
January 14, 2022 at 03:35
Hi. My case number is AS4XXX.
I’m currently living in US. But we’ll back to Japan in April. So we can’t submit our DS260 until April.
Is it ok to submit DS260 after my case number was called for bulletin?
January 14, 2022 at 05:31
You are unwise to delay. I don’t understand why you haven’t filed adjustment of status already.
January 14, 2022 at 18:59
Thank you for your reply. Currently, I’m waiting for renewal of I-94. I’ve submitted I129 5 months ago. Without approval of I-129, my I-94 is expired. So I couldn’t submit AOS.
Do you think is it better to submit AOS? But I need to pay $330 and get the receipt first.
Am I going to lose my position?
January 14, 2022 at 20:29
The thread below has good info about DV AOS. You can ask “Sm1sMom” specifics.
https://forums.immigration.com/threads/dv-2022-aos-adjustment-of-status-only.344334/
January 14, 2022 at 21:00
Thank you! I’m gonna try that!
January 15, 2022 at 01:30
Hello again. I’ve asked Sm1sMom as you advices me. Thanks.
Could you tell your thought whether I can submit DS-260 after my case number had been called?
Also after submitting DS-260, I can’t go to other countries, right?
Regards
January 14, 2022 at 07:29
Dear Sir Simon;
I’m DV22 DQ cnAF4315X, our embassy is only processing emergency visa for US citizen. By considering my CN and KCC’s current speed am i expected about to think about changing interview location??
Thank U
January 14, 2022 at 14:43
Since your case number is going to mean you will wait for a while, you don’t know how the embassy status will be months from now.
January 14, 2022 at 07:49
Hello Simon
Do DV 2022 winners need a lawsuit
January 14, 2022 at 14:44
Some winners will.
January 18, 2022 at 16:54
Hello Brit
I’m dv 2022 winner and my case is 30kxx
Will I need a law suit
January 14, 2022 at 10:19
Dearest BritSimon,
We are planning to travel to Austin, TX soon as DV21 visa holders. Should we pass immigration control and validate our visas at Austin airport or should we do it at a larger airport such as Houston? Does it make any difference?
January 14, 2022 at 14:45
Doesn’t matter.
January 14, 2022 at 11:35
I just came back from Boston. Planned to go to NY but it doesn’t make a difference. Enjoy your trip. Be careful with covid though.
January 14, 2022 at 14:05
Dear Simon,
Could I activate as follows: Connecting flight: First point of entry Philadelphia and then connecting to Puerto Rico? (About 5h layover in PHL). I would put the address of a friend in Florida to have my GC sent there. I would however, go to Puerto Rico on that trip. 1) Does that somehow matter?
2) Is there a certain airport ranking when it comes to first time hassle free activation?
Thank you very much and have a nice weekend!
January 14, 2022 at 14:48
1. The first flight may not go through immigration – I don’t know
2. No
January 14, 2022 at 17:37
Ok, thanks for your response
January 14, 2022 at 14:23
Hi Simon,
thanks so much for your time.
My wife and I were interviewed for a DV2021 in September.
As a result, my wife was approved for an immigrant visa, but I was found ineligible for the following reason: “absence of medical results before the end of the fiscal year in which you were selected”.
Is there any chance I could get the visa when they update the software?
January 14, 2022 at 14:49
Only if you were a plaintiff on the Goh or Goodlick lawsuits.
January 14, 2022 at 15:29
Sir I have job experience in 5 star hotel as housekeeping supervisor and don’t have high school is it ok to process or leave it
January 14, 2022 at 17:14
I have already answered you in telegram. I said I do NOT think you can qualify based on your experience (and I saw the reference from the hotel). So – if you are the main applicant, and do not have the required education, you will not be approved in my opinion. However, you are entitled to try and let the CO decide.
January 14, 2022 at 20:50
Thanks for your previous response but I’m still not clear! look for example this case number as follows (AF 18 2022AF18 ALG Ready 26-Oct-2020 10-Jan-2022 0 0 1) the date of submission is 26-Oct-2020 and the status dates as you quoted is 19-Jan-2022, do what was actually submitted on Oct 26 2020 then?
January 14, 2022 at 23:30
October 26, 2020 is when that person entered the lottery.
January 15, 2022 at 00:52
Hi Simon
My wife is the winner (Malaysian), and I’m the beneficiary (Iranian). I left Iran at the age of 17 before I was eligible for military service and have resided in Malaysia since 2007 (did pre-u, bachelor’s, PhD and 2 years of work). I have not been eligible to get my military exemption neither. Our interview is coming up very soon, and after submitting scans of docs to the embassy, they are asking for my military exemption documents. I have never been to the military and I am not exempted. What should I do or explain during the interview? Any suggestions please.
January 15, 2022 at 01:10
You should write an explanation.
January 15, 2022 at 06:11
Hey Brit.
Oc13## 2022.
I missed out on Jesse B zoom live.
But it looks like a law suit might be going ahead.
It’s quite exxy.
I wanted to know your thoughts on being represented in it?
January 15, 2022 at 14:55
Hi Chris,
I attended the zooms Jesse did yesterday. He has setup two lawsuits now, one for a general case, and one targetted at Sydney consulate specifically. The latter is obviously a smaller potential client pool, and is therefore more expensive than the general suit.
I think the suit was explained well during the call and it appeared well received. I think most of the people on the call were from the OC forum (link below), so you could probably get a better feel for the concensus by reading the comments there. At the end of the day it’s not cheap, it’s not a guarantee of success and we aren’t sure what the next few months will bring. So – you have to decide for yourself what you think.

January 15, 2022 at 06:59
Hi Simon, I, with case number 2022as10xxx, expected my 2NL by February VB, but still I recieved nothing. Do you think I should email KCC or I can expect it by March VB.
Thank you
January 15, 2022 at 14:56
You’re not even current yet. Why did you expect to get a 2NL already?
January 15, 2022 at 07:29
I don’t have high school but I have job experience .I work in 5 Star hotel as housekeeping supervisor is it possible to qualify my work experience or not sir
January 15, 2022 at 14:58
I have answered you twice already on this exact question.
No, based on what you told me I do not expect you to be approved if you are the main applicant.
January 15, 2022 at 09:47
Hello Sir,
I am DV2022 winner:
1. when I check my status at [ https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx ], after choosing immigrant visa and filling case number either full or without zeros I always found the result [ Invalid Immigrant Visa Case Number ] ?!
2. How can I participate in one of the lawsuits to increase my chance in getting an interview and what is the difference between them ?
2. I had registered in DV2023 entry but I lost my confirmation page, how can I restore these data?
Thanks a lot.
January 15, 2022 at 15:45
1. You are doing something wrong. I don’t know what.
2. I might address that question in a couple of days time in a video.
3. Use the lost confirmation number link (on the ESC page)
January 15, 2022 at 14:01
Hi Brits,is there hope for the dv 2020, the 9095 cases remaining,or done?
January 15, 2022 at 16:28
Ya I am applicant .sir what I can do now if I am disqualified. Is there any changes of qualification and work experience on between dv year of 2018 and 2022
January 15, 2022 at 16:37

January 15, 2022 at 16:55
Any idea sir what I can do if I am not qualified.why my job experience is not qualified.is my qualification ok as I started my school from (1994 to 2004)
January 15, 2022 at 17:41
Hi Brit,
I had my interview on Thursday 1/13 and I was approved! I wanted to thank you for all your help and guidance throughout. Even though my interview was pretty quick and simple, I would not feel as comfortable and ready had you not answered all of my questions. They only checked my education and work experience docs and said that they didn’t want to keep me long because it seems I have a very good job (I am an AML professional). Other than that, they asked me if I am married and why I want to immigrate to the US. No financial docs were requested whatsoever.
One of the ladies there (not the CO) told me that when I travel to the US to activate my green card, I cannot get out until I receive it. Just wanted to confirm with you that this is not the case?
Thanks once again and as previously promised, I will make a donation by the end of the month as a token of appreciation.
January 15, 2022 at 17:47
Congrats on the approval. For a well prepared person, the interview is pretty much a non event.
The lady was talking nonsense.
January 15, 2022 at 18:10
Lol I thought so…thanks for confirming!
January 16, 2022 at 22:09
Hi , what was your responds to the question “why do you want to migrate to the US ?”
Your answer could be of help .. thank you.
January 18, 2022 at 15:45
Your own honest answers are the best ones!

Hello. I’ve found my previous comment doesn’t accept any reply so I’m commenting here with more questions.
1)Could you tell me is it possible to submit DS-260 after my case number had been called?
2)If I submit DS260, Will I call for bulletin earlier because my case number has already called?
3)After submitting DS-260, can I go to different country?
4)From when do I need to start live USA within 1 year? From entry permit date? Or From green card’s issue date? Or from the day of receiving green card?
Thank you!
January 18, 2022 at 15:30
1. Yes, not normal, but possible.

Hi Brit,
I had asked tis question a little while back and probably you didnt see it. I had submitted DS260 for both DV2020 and DV2021. In the event that the system is modified from April. What happens. Will they process both or i will have to withdraw one.

If you were not a plaintiff in dv2021 that case is over. You don’t withdraw anything.

Hi there, always thankful for what you re doing for Dv winner.
I am one of the 246 Dqed Goh plaintiff. Since, judge reserved 481 visas, which are more than enough for those who are already Documentary ready for an interview, should i expect to get interview?
