Hi Simon, Just coming back here to express my gratitude throughout this process. Been following this blog and this, as well as your videos and Q&A live sessions have really been great help it my journey. I have had my interview this morning in London and everything went smoothly and been approved. Thanks for the work and support you are providing us.
I will, later on, also share my interview experience here so it could be useful to others. Thanks
January 28, 2022 at 22:31
That’s awesome – thanks for letting me know. I’ll bet you were well prepared and it was easier than you expected, huh.
January 28, 2022 at 17:03
Hi Brit,
Can you activate visa separately? My husband(main applicant) would like to activate few months after me, due work. Is that possible?
Thank you
January 28, 2022 at 22:31
The pricipal must enter before or with the derivative. The derivative cannot go first.

Hi Simon,
Me and my family have medical on 24.01 and my little son tested positiv on Covid and we didn’t do the medical, the doctors reschedule the medical for 04.02 but we have call from consulate a they said to become healthy and send mail for new interview appointment( they cancelled our interview on 01.02 ) …. what is you opinion about this is there any chance to get new interview for us ?
January 28, 2022 at 22:32
You should be OK if you stay on top of it and keep in touch with the embassy.
February 9, 2022 at 03:34
Thanks Simon for everything my visa was Approved yesterday it was very simple and smooth interview ????
February 9, 2022 at 17:15

Read the country specific instructions.
January 28, 2022 at 19:13
Hey Brit ,
I have a problem and I hope that I could explain it in good way .
I am a dv2021 winner which did get the immigration visa and I traveled to the states in December 2021 I have entered the states and actually got my Social security number and everything went fine my problem is I couldn’t stay to get the green card so I traveled back home Any they sent me the green card but the problem is they sent to the previous home address that I gave to the KCC when I was filling my DS but I changed the address in the airport when I arrive and in the system but they manage to sent to the wrong address the one the I gave earlier anyway now they retrieve the mail and the usps said they will return the mail the to uscis and the uscis will send it back to the right address the uscis they are not answering my mail nor my calls and I don’t know what to do . Do I have to sign for a replacement card or should keep trying to call them so they can send it to the right address ????
January 28, 2022 at 22:37
You must use your own judgement on how to handle this.
January 28, 2022 at 23:39
Hi Simon – DV21 winner here, about to enter the country on my immigrant visa next month before the 6 months are up. Is it correct that I do NOT need an ESTA (flying from UK) and travelling with just this immigrant visa will suffice? thank you
January 29, 2022 at 07:35
Correct
January 29, 2022 at 00:02
Hi Simon!
First, thanks for all the info you provide, My embassy appointment is finally scheduled in March, I received the confirmation e-mail today at the Italian Embassy, however I have a question, If I reschedule the appointment to a month like June or July (I know the deadline is 30th September) could that have any consequences? Loose my slot or raise questions? I’m asking because I know that If I pass the interview I have 6 months to arrange everything and depart, however I would prefer to delay it if I could (nonetheless to say that if there is even a small chance of creating an Issue I’m just gonna deal with it and keep it) Thanks in advance and I really appreciate the work!
January 29, 2022 at 07:35
You would be nuts to reschedule. NUTS.
February 1, 2022 at 09:03
Oh my gosh! Higher case numbers stressing about not being called for interviews at all this year and some people who have interviews scheduled already, consider things like this! 🙁 You would be crazy not to attend the interview in a year like DV2022!
February 1, 2022 at 11:27
Wondering why people do really play the lottery with no clear motives to travel hence blocking chances for those in need. Huh…sorry to intrude but am wondering
February 2, 2022 at 19:27
They don’t block anyone. The government over select, so if someone doesn’t proceed there is someone else to take their place.
January 29, 2022 at 00:51
Hi Simon, thank you as usual for all your help and advice. I have a couple of questions please.
1) Ive just been reading up on what happens once you are accepted and receive your visa. You mention that the visa serves as your permanent residence. I assume that means it can be used for employment purposes? As in, will we still be able to work whilst waiting on the actual green card to arrive?
2) I need to change the address the green card will be sent to. Is it best to do this when we make payment? Or is there another way to do this?
3) As it concerns the other applicants that were not processed at this time (my husband’s children who live with their mum). How exactly would that work in future? Would it be a completely separate application or can the same one be used? Basically, how can they later get their own green card?
January 29, 2022 at 07:37
1. Yes
2. Your final chance to change is at the POE.
3. Completely different process (much slower, more complex and more expensive).
January 29, 2022 at 02:57
Hi Brit,I hope you are doing well,
I am DV 2022 winner, and I have question. I submitted my DS 260 in September 2021 till now I haven’t got any notification message from kcc that, they have received my DS 260.
January 29, 2022 at 07:37
You can email them and ask.
January 29, 2022 at 09:59
Which email address do we use to see if they have received our DS260
January 30, 2022 at 23:51
The one on your selected letter.
January 29, 2022 at 09:40
Hi Simon i d like to have my covid vaccin valneva in april. It s not available before. But my interview IS in march. Could I go without vaccination and send to the doctor my certificate in april to unlock my case? Thanks a lot
January 30, 2022 at 23:51
If the Covid vaccine is not available locally the physician won’t expect it.
January 29, 2022 at 11:48
Hi Simon,
I plan to move in April. I want to start applying for jobs online already now as the process usually takes a while. Can I list my friend’s US address on my resume and application form and then explain it on my cover letter? (Applying in the financial industry). Rational + concerns:
1) By listing a foreign address ATS software would prob weed me out.
2) Could this lead to problems with the company’s background screening?
3) I list also my current job and location. So when a human looks at the resume it should be clear?
4) How would you go about applying from abroad for a senior position?
Thank you!
January 30, 2022 at 23:53
1. No need to explain at all. JUst list the US address, and get a US cell number. Otherwise, just wait.
2. No
3. Depends on the human.
4. Generally, you wait until you are in the USA, OR if you have personal contacts explain the the situation honestly.
January 29, 2022 at 12:25
Hi Simon,
I will do my activation trip soon. (a week vacation in Florida, still employed in home country)
Do you know how to fill out the customs form correctly?
https://international.catholic.edu/_media/docs/immigrationbasics/traveler-entry-forms.pdf
I assume on Line 7. Country of Residence: I will still need to put my home country since I still live there, correct? And then on Line 15 I would fall into the visitors catergory, I assume, and wouldn’t need to value my stuff (phone computer etc.) since I will take it back with me to my home country. Thanks for your help
January 30, 2022 at 23:54
Use your judgement and answer questions literally.
January 29, 2022 at 13:29
Hello britsimon,
I asked a question about the sponsor and seen the link you gave me, thanks for that.
I have a sponsor, he completed the form L-134, gave me a bank statement, payslips, a chèque from where he work and how much he is earning and a scan of his ID.
But… he were not able to provide me the tax informations as the 1040 or W2.
But after that we can see on the l-134 that he is wealthy.
Is it a real problems to prove my sponsoring without the tax informations or it’s not good and have to find a new sponsor ? Thank you .
January 30, 2022 at 23:55
Your choice.
January 29, 2022 at 14:39
Hello Brit Simon, first of all I wish you health and prosperity! My son is a plaintiff 2021 But he wants to travel to England with a work visa. Can you pass the interview there if you wish? Thank you
January 30, 2022 at 23:56
Yes
January 29, 2022 at 14:56
Please forgive me for my incorrect English! Can my Son follow the procedures from England even though his country is Albania If given a chance as a Plaintiff of Good Luck
January 29, 2022 at 16:19
Hi, Brit Simon
We have a visit to the American Embassy (DV2022) on February 4 in London. We didn’t finish the medical exam becausewe are waiting for the second dose of covid vaccine for our children. In the UK, you have to wait for the second dose at 12 weeks. The second dose of the vaccine will be given to children on March 6. We do not know whether we should go to the scheduled visa interview at the embassy or the reschedule visa interview?
January 30, 2022 at 23:57
Attend the interview as scheduled.
January 29, 2022 at 17:05
Hi Simon! I am DV2020 green card lottery winner. I’ve received my immigrant visa in 2020 and flew to the USA for 2 weeks in March 2021 ( I have a stamp in my passport with the date of entry to the USA). After that time I came back to my home country and planned to come back earlier to the USA to live there but couldn’t do it earlier. Now I would like to return to the USA at the beginning of February but I don’t know if I will be allowed in ( I don’t have a plastic green card with me because it arrived to my adress after I left US, I just have stamp in my passport. Do you think I can still return to the USA without any problems? Have you heard about any cases of people who were turned back at the entry because they were outside the USA for more than half a year? ( in my case it is almost 11 months). I appreciate your help, thank you!
January 30, 2022 at 23:58
No problem at all.
January 29, 2022 at 18:48
Hello Sir,
I am one of the dv 2022 winners from Afghanistan, with 14** which I think was current in November. As I am international student in India, I changed my interview location from Kabul to Mumbai because right now only US consulate in Mumbai is open for immigrant visa in India. However, I was told by someone that US consulate in Mumbai does not work for dv cases.
Despite the fact that, I received this when I emailed them a few months ago.
Dear Mr. Murtaza,
Greetings from the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai!
If and when the KCC has notified you that your case is fully documentarily qualified, and you are in India, you are welcome to reach out to us with evidence of both and we can review your request that your case be transferred to Mumbai.
Sincerely,
Immigrant Visa Unit
U.S. Consulate General
Mumbai, India
But because my case number is current and I haven’t received 2NL yet. I am getting worried and worried if the US consulate in Mumbai is really open for green card lottery.
Can you give me some information and solution on what should I do?
Thank you sir! So Much!
January 30, 2022 at 23:59
Mumbai can do DV cases.
January 29, 2022 at 19:47
Hello Brit,
Hope you are doing well.
I’m DV2022 winner. My CN is 2022EU131XX. I’m current for March 2022.
I submitted my DS 260 on 25th of May, 2021. Then unlocked and resubmitted on 09th of Aug, 2021. I unlocked for all members of my family and just made corrections (forgot to add information about high school education).
I sent an inquiry to KCC on 19th of Jan, 2022, asking if my case processed and ready for scheduling. On 21th of Jan, 2022 received reply from KCC that it is still processing and needs several weeks to be done.
My questions:
1) Is DS 260 processing delayed because of resubmission date?
2) How long do you think will it take to be processed?
On telegram channel for DV 2022 global, I see some smaller cases are processed even if they submitted on Oct of 2021 or Nov of 2021. I think it is becuase they are current.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
January 31, 2022 at 00:11
1. Probably not.
2. I don’t know.
January 29, 2022 at 19:49
Good day Simon,
I would like some advice please. I am an DV22 selectee, AF24k.
I got married to my wife after selection (June 2021) and completed the DS260 for both myself and her in August 2021. Since completion, we have applied for all the items that come with a marriage such as name change and new passports. However, due to Covid, everything in South Africa is slow and we only received her passport in middle January 2022. As I am aware that reopening my case will slow down my DQ again and with all the delays already experienced with DV22 (I am hopefully current in the next VB), is it necessary for me to unlock and change the name submitted for my wife? All her travel history, personal info, etc is with her maiden name and thus the new name is only a week or two registered. Is this something that the embassy will understand or should I unlock, change and hope that both the name change is not an issue as well as the file can get processed in time?
Thank you once again Simon.
January 31, 2022 at 00:11
No need to unlock for that, change at the interview.
January 29, 2022 at 20:02
Hello Mr. Brit.
I am winner of dv 2022, my number is EU23 ***, I have two questions.
1. I mistakenly confused my name with my last name when applied for lottery , but filled correct in ds 260 form, is it problem?
2. Has my case number chance this year?
Thanks in advance!
January 31, 2022 at 00:13
1. Only if they suspect fraud.
2. I don’t know.
January 29, 2022 at 20:45
Hello Brit Simon. I am the winner of the 2022 lottery from Afghanistan and I live in Iran. I changed my interview location from the US Embassy in Ankara to Islamabad. About a week later my first child will be born and I have to unlock the form to add him to the DS form. Will unlocking the form delay my interview process or not? Thanks Brit Simon
January 31, 2022 at 00:13
No
January 29, 2022 at 23:00
Hi,
My ds260 file has been processed and my case number is af 55k, when my case number becomes current, will I be interviewed regardless of the case numbers smaller than me
January 31, 2022 at 00:15
I can’t predict that.
January 30, 2022 at 04:08
Hi BritSimon ????. I have two questions.
1.Can I change my interview location after my DS260 has been processed.
I got this email last month December
Congratulations! Our records indicate that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current, and appointments are available. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on region and which case numbers have already been processed.
2. If its possible will I have to unlock ds260 and change present address or only i have to inform KCC the interview location and no unlock need.
Thanks ????
January 31, 2022 at 00:16
1. Yes
2. They normally want you to change the address, but it depends on the embassies involved.
January 30, 2022 at 05:08
Hi Simon .
I have one question do I need to change my school name as I have written high school in D’s 260 form but due to mistake in date of birth i change but school name too change high school into central school.Do I face problem during interview or may they asked both school certificate
January 31, 2022 at 00:17
No need to unlock.
January 30, 2022 at 09:28
I choose my chargeability Turkey, I am a Turkish citizen and live in Turkey, but I was born in Switzerland. Did I make a mistake, should I choose the chargeability as Switzerland when I enter for the DV Lottery
January 31, 2022 at 00:21
Yes you made a mistake, however, since both countries are in EU, it should not cause denial.
February 3, 2022 at 14:50
Thnks brits, in case she doesn’t have Switzerland, at interview day is it ok turkey birth certificate wich indicates place of birth is Switzerland to give consular
February 3, 2022 at 17:29
No. The birth should be registered in Switzerland.
January 30, 2022 at 13:52
Hi, simon
Don’t you think the government appeal against DV20 & 21 is good for Dv2022 especially regarding with resource consumption?
January 31, 2022 at 00:22
Maybe.
January 30, 2022 at 13:56
Hi Simon,
DV2021 here, I became an LPR on January 9th 2022.
– I’ve been reading about the US tax system. I understand you file for the preceding year (so 2021 now if I’m not mistaken). I wanted to double check with you if there’s anything I should file or send to IRS come April this year since i’m an LPR now?
I did not live in the US during any time of 2021 nor had any status there before activating my visa. Just want to make sure I don’t miss anything or if there’s something I should file or send.
Thanks.
January 31, 2022 at 00:23
Your first year to file will in in 2023 for the 2022 tax year.
January 30, 2022 at 17:22
Hello, Brit! I wonder if you have any information about vaccination requirements for the interviews at the embassies. (I’m aware of the travel requirement to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the US.) Do they ask for the same kind of vaccine documents for the inteview or the medical check up? Or it’s not an issue for them?
There are different regulations in Europe and in the US regarding how long the vaccination last. Is there a reliable source of information on this question?
Thank you for your help in advance.
January 31, 2022 at 00:25
Check with the panel physician.
January 31, 2022 at 18:35
The doctor will ask for vaccination records from the past to see if you meet the medical requirements. You need to be fully vaccinated according to US standards not EU standards. The doctor will know.
January 30, 2022 at 18:28
Hi Simon, in my case, the last 2 visits of a man to the US were not indicated in the DS-260, it was in 2019 and in 2021, he was in the US in 2021, when he filled our family from the DS-26. He asked for the KSS, but he said that I could not, so that your number was ready for the meeting, the help, that you could be the reason for the cancellation. wound healing:
January 31, 2022 at 00:26
Your question is very unclear.
January 30, 2022 at 19:22
Hi Simon,
Thanks for all the hard work. I have a two part question.
1- My wife was selected to apply for the Green Card, she is 47 and we are finding it difficult to gather all the home addresses since she was 16. She has lived in many different places since then, in 4 different countries. Any advice here? Could we be denied if she misses one or two? Any advice here?
2- We are reading the requirements in terms of documents and we are not clear if I have to provide also Police Certificates or just her. The same for the birth certificate. The website says “Each applicant must submit a birth certificate” for example, then it also says “You and each family member immigrating with you must submit a photocopy of passport”. That makes us think that I have to submit the copy of the passport but not the birth certificate or the police certificate?
Many Thanks
Juan
January 31, 2022 at 00:27
1. Just do your best, perfection is not important.
2. Both submit police certs.
January 30, 2022 at 19:25
Hello,
I received an email saying that I should submit scans of documents to KCC, but as far as I know this stage was canceled, however, I did not receive any message from KCC that it is possible not to submit scans. What do you think about it? Do I need to submit or can I skip this step and wait for 2NL
Thank you!
January 31, 2022 at 00:27
Skip it.
January 31, 2022 at 00:05
Hi Simon,
I have asked the Hungary embassy to transfer my case from Warsaw to Budapest based on my residence permit. After several attempts and months of waiting, they answered and refused, claiming that they have capacity for local citizens only, my residence status is irrelevant, they prioritise immigrant cases [except DV]. After that I sent my Hungarian docs directly to KCC, and they approved case transfer.
(1) Can Budapest embassy not accept my case if scheduled by KCC? Do you think I can experience any troubles after forcing the case transfer through KCC?
(2) Is it actually important to unlock DS and change the address? Can it somehow impact case scheduling?
My case number is quite high, I am afraid of being at the end of the line for processing after unlocking.
January 31, 2022 at 00:32
1. If KCC schedule it, you’ll be OK.
2. Why risk finding out? Change it.
January 31, 2022 at 03:49
Hi Brit,
When DV 2020 interview start, in April or longer?
What is the real position dv2020 at the moment?
What I have to do, to get interview at this moment?
thx
February 2, 2022 at 19:05
April at the earliest.
The government is working on the changes needed to allow the issuances, BUT also appealing the decision.
There is nothing to do right now.
January 31, 2022 at 05:20
Dear Simon,
we are a family of for, DV2022 with a case no EU12K, our chosen embassy is Abu Dhabi. DS260 filled in August 2021. Got Current by January. Case currently “at NVC” status.
2 emails so far to KCC, both of which given the same response that our DS260 received succesfully, being processed, allow several weeks, etc.. last response was Jan 25th,
Embassy have not been helpful much, as they guide us towards KCC.
1. i am seeing that Abu Dhabi embassy have processed only about 10 cases yet (all regions) 2 of which is EU. does that mean that they are not prioritizing DV at this stage ?
2. it is still a bit mystery, do KCC process DS260, and schedule interviews based on embassy capacity being reported back to them ?
3. should not our DS260 processed first, and claimed ready for schedule, and then we wait for embassy capacity ? would KCC also process DS260 based on reported embassy capacity ?
4. asking these as we might have an option to move our case to some other embassy, which we have the right to. but i am trying to assess the best way forward as this option will create challanges on logistics, timelines, etc. any thoughts or suggestions ?
February 2, 2022 at 19:07
1. Obviously.
2. It’s not a mystery. KCC processes the DS260s to achieve DQ status, the embassy informs KCC of capacity. KCC scheduled interviews for cases that are processed and current in DQ date order.
3. See 2
4. Too vague to answer.
January 31, 2022 at 07:32
Hello Simon
I’m DV 2022 winner with CN 30kxxx, I try joining the lawsuit through the link you send, but there is a fees needed to join the lawsuit, how can I join if I don’t have money?
January 31, 2022 at 13:47
Hello Simon Britian
Our family has won a Green Card և we have completed DS-260 through a travel agent, we have a tourist visa ս my husband has been to the USA 5 times. The last 2 visits to the USA were not mentioned in 2019 and 2021. My husband was there in 2021, when we found out that we had won, 20 days after completing the ds 260, he came to Armenia and stayed there for 4 months. This could be a reason for rejection.
Thanks in advance
February 2, 2022 at 19:15
Not likely, no.
February 2, 2022 at 19:07
You can’t.
January 31, 2022 at 09:41
Dear Simon,
In your latest Q&A, I caught a phrase that went along the lines of embassies requesting a certain number of DV cases from KCC. Could you please explain the actual role of embassies in the pre-interview processing phase? I thought all the delays were KCC’s fault – because they were slow to process and DQ my case (my CN being current in January). But could the delays be also associated with the local embassy? That’s what I’m trying to understand. The fact that I haven’t heard anything about my interview – could that be because my local embassy didn’t request a sufficient number of DV cases? And generally, where is the fine line in understanding whether it’s KCC’s fault or the embassy’s?
Regards.
February 2, 2022 at 19:11
I have deja vu with this question…
The embassy controls and reports its capacity – so yes of course they have a role in deciding whether people wait or not. We can’t be precise about where the blame lies in individual cases or at embassies – unless it is one of the more obvious scenarios where the embassy is doing nothing.
January 31, 2022 at 10:17
Hi Simon,
I am a DV-2022 selected applicant, who is in South Africa, and has submitted my DS-260 for processing. I am currently awaiting an email requesting supporting documents. I wanted to confirm that I am able to leave the country while my application is being processed? I understand the need for me to be physically present for my interview, and my medical before hand, but I am just making sure a short trip out of the country won’t impact my process or chances.
I appreciate your help on confirming this.
Thanks
February 2, 2022 at 19:12
First, you are no longer expected to send documents to KCC.
Second, a trip is no problem.
January 31, 2022 at 10:27
Hi Brit, hope you are well and thank you for your time. Just to ask your advice on this one. I am a dv 2022 winner CN Af13xxx,I applied for my child’s visa from Cameroon but she was denied a visa to come to the UK and I am yet to submit my supporting documents with the other derivatives with me in the UK.
Should I go ahead and submit the supporting documents while trying to get a visa for one of my children in Cameroon?
Or should I try to apply for her visa and if its granted then I can go ahead to submit the supporting documents obviously gauging the time I have left as well.
Thanks for your response in advance.
February 2, 2022 at 19:13
I can’t really answer this – it’s too vague.
Documents are no longer sent to KCC.
January 31, 2022 at 13:37

Hi Simon,
Thanks for all the hard work. My case is current for January 2022 interview but the US embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is not providing DV visa service; they provide emergency services only due to the security issues.
I asked KCC to reassign me to another US embassy, they emailed to me this:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center. I told you to transfer your case on January 3, December 30 and December 29. You waited too long and now KCC has allocated your case to the embassy even though the embassy doesn’t have your case. Your delay caused the problem. It’s frustrating that you did not act when I told you. Now I don’t have a good solution for you. All you can do is ask KCC again.

Do you mean my case has allocated US embassy Addis Ababa, Ethiopia or another US embassy. What do you suggest about Curtis law suit to reassign Ethiopian and Sudanese DV 2022 winners to another US embassy? I am participating in this law suit.

Wait for the lawsuit outcome then.

Hi dear Simon,
I want to ask one question. I entered to Usa after 1.6 years on December. And i got i-193 stamp on my passport. Now i am planning to go my country at the end of february and return at the end of march. Will it cause any problem when i return to Usa in port of entry?
Best regards

Hi Simon..
Thank you for all the efforts you support us, finally me and my family in Los Angeles, I am one of the 2021 winners. Our waiting journey was long and arduous, and I was one of those who joined Morrison’s case. The visa has been in my possession since September, but there were a few months waiting for the Covid – fully vaccinations and arranging the steps for my family.
Simon I have a question: Will the green card be sent automatically, or do I have to pay a fee in advance? I’m a little confused and not fully aware of the next step.
Thank you again.

There is a fee to be paid ($220). The GCs won’t be mailed until that fee is paid.

Hello Sir,
I hope you are fine!
A few day ago, I had inquired KCC about my case, and received.
Thank you for your inquiry.

Can you clarify this?
Should I expect interview in March?
My case number is 14** from Afghanistan.
My interview location is changed as well.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Brit,
Looking for some advice, I am DV2022 OC8xx so my case has just become current. I was waiting on a new passport (which took longer than expected) so I have not yet submitted my DS-260.
1)Given all the processing delay’s this year do you think it is too late to apply?
2) Can you advise rough timeframe for KCC to process and schedule interview?
3) I would be looking to interview in Sydney, do any of the OC members have an update if able to schedule interview in another country as Sydney is closed? New Zealand? Fiji? England?
Thanks for your time

1. No, but get a move on.
2. No
3. Sydney is closed. There is a lawsuit just filed to get them to do something, but obviously there is a risk that they do nothing. I really can’t guess what will happen Covidwise to affect your plans in the future regarding travelling to another embassy.

I’m looking into the idea of interviewing outside of Oz too Carla. My country of chargeability is NZ & I’m a UK & Canadian citizen. I’m going to wait to see what happens with Sydney, but I’m not holding out hopes. Next best option for me is Auckland, however not only is the embassy apparently closed for a few weeks, I don’t think they’ll even let us in the country. By all accounts, London is the best option if I had to make a choice right now. If Fiji is an option for you though, I’d be all over it if I were you.

Hello Brit
We couldnt go to embassy on the interview day because we were covid. We told the embassy about our sitiation. They told us not to come to interview. When we get better, how can we reschedule our interview. Will the embassy give us an appointment or KCC?

The embassy.

Hi Brit Simon, I’m a Dv winner 2022. Do I need to include the affidavit of support In my documents?
Regards,
Stephan

It is wise to attend the interview with an I-134, just in case you are asked.
