Hello Brit,
I really appreciate your efforts.
We have been selected to apply for the DV lottery 2023 AS19XXX
We have valid passports now but they are due for renewal by mid 2023. My options are:
1) submit the DS260 using the valid available passports now and renew them later to have the new ones for the interview.
2) Renew the passports now and then submit the DS260 using the new passports details. This process will take around 1 month.
If (1) is better in your opinion please confirm that it won’t be a problem if the passport details mentioned in the DV application (old passport number) are not matching with the details on the DS260 (new passport number). Also, please let me know if I should open/update the DS260 or inform the KCC about the new passport details once received or if it is enough to take it with me to the interview.

1 is fine.

If I successfully pass the interview and granted permanent residence, If I do not plan to settle in USA permanently in the coming two years, do I need stay for certain period in USA? or I have to return annually to avoid losing the permanent residence status?

Hello BritSimon,
Thank you for your great effort to help peolpe,
Please let me know your opinion regarding these issues about DV lottery, because I have made mistakes in my and family members ds-260 forms:
1. Does it affect on review process when the unlock of ds-260 is requested? I do not know if it is true, that I have heard it is better to ask unlock after 21 days from submission then the queue won’t be missed;
2. If I ask to unlock only principal applicant’s ds-260, will it affect on date of submission for other family member ds-260? I am asking because, other family member’s circumstances will probably be changed during this period, but I am not sure if I can provide full info regarding the changes for him, so I do not want his submission date to be changed
3. Does it affect on processing period if asked to unlock for only one ds-260 or for all family members?
4. I am principal applicant and have misspelt the name of Educational Institution at secondary level, so it slightly differs from the name of high school written on Diploma ? Do I have to ask to unlock ds-260 for this reason? or do I have to just notify them without asking to unlock? Does it matter?
5. Also, I have misspelt educational institution “Gimnasium” instead of “Gymnasium”. Will the decision for visa be depended on council officer for misspelling mistakes about main educational institutions?
Thank you in advance,
May 28, 2022 at 20:48
1. What you heard is nonsense. Unlock if you NEED to.
2. You are too concerned about the submission date.
3. Repetitive.
4. Trivial. No need to unlock for that.
5. Repetitive.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Your inquiry is about a diversity visa case number from a prior program year. Information regarding the processing of diversity visas from FY2020 in accordance with the court order in Gomez v. Biden and information regarding the processing of diversity visas from FY2021 in accordance with the court orders in Rai v. Biden, Goodluck v. Biden, and Goh v. Blinken will be published on travel.state.gov as it becomes available. Registration for the 2023 Diversity Visa program (DV-2023) begins on or near October 6, 2021. Individuals who submit more than one entry during the registration period will be disqualified. The website at dvprogram.state.gov is the only way to register for the diversity visa program.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center. May 25, 2022 at 16:11
About question on DS-260“Do you seek to enter the United States for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but have not yet been certified by the Secretary of Labor”
USCIS website has another type of work called “professionals” besides skill or unskilled, (https://www.uscis.gov/forms/explore-my-options/eb-3-employment-based-immigration-skilled-workers-professionals-and-other-workers),
I think to say “No” because I’m applying for a DV visa and not employment visa, so my “purpose” is not for performing the mentioned, but just for living in the US. And even if I try to find a job I might be seeking for a “professional job”
Would that make sense saying “No” to this question by your experience?
May 28, 2022 at 20:49
It doesn’t matter whether you say yes or no.
May 25, 2022 at 16:37
Hi Simon,
For current university students :
1. Should we put university no degree? If yes
2. When giving university details Is it okay to write no degree on the section they ask for certificate ,diploma or degree received
3.what dates should one put to show attendance to as one cannot put dates equal to or exceeding the date of application of the ds-260 form ?
May 28, 2022 at 20:50
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. That should be your current occupation, not education section.
May 25, 2022 at 16:41
Hi,
I’ve won the DV2023 lottery. Case number AS100xx. In the process of getting documents ready. I am the primary applicant.
My husband (who was included in the application) as a variation in his name on his birth certificate.
While all his other documents, including the passport carry his full name, the birth certificate only has his first two names and no family name.
I’ve already obtained an affidavit from a lawyer/ commissioner of oaths stating that both variations refer to the same person.
However I also have the option of using an extremely cumbersome and time consuming legal method of amending the birth certificate itself. Should we get the birth certificate amended or would the affidavit suffice?
Thank you.
May 28, 2022 at 20:50
You should decide.
May 25, 2022 at 18:13
Hi BritSimon,
Once I completed my DS260 I got the confirmation messages says THANKS and Next Steps….
However, it says: “You do not need to submit any documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center. The KCC will review your application and will notify you if any of the information you have provided is insufficient or incomplete. Your DS-260 application will be kept on file with KCC until a visa number is available for you and your case can be scheduled. When your case is scheduled, the KCC will send you an email message directing you to log into the Entrant Status Check (ESC) website for further instructions.”
It was saying in the wining letter that I have to send the docs to KCC to process and bring the hard copy to the interview if scheduled.
so which one to follow? and what is the next status after the current “COMPLETED”
Thanks and Regards,

Hi there Simon
Thank you for the explanations. Do you have any information for people on work visas already living in USA on non immigrant visas and doing the I-485 form after they won the 2023 DV lottery?
June 1, 2022 at 16:07
The best source of information for DV related AOS is here:

hello brit. have a nice day i am dv lottery winner 2023. under the social media section in ds 260 they ask about social media platform and social media identifier. if i mention facebook as social media platform what answer should i give for social media identifier ? should i mention my facebook profile name or my facebook profile URL ( COPY & PASTE)?
May 30, 2022 at 20:36
Hi Brit
I requested to reactivate the DS260 more than 10 days ago and so far this has not been done.
Is it a normal procedure to send a reminder ? Or all I have to do is just wait for the reactivation, no matter how long it takes?
June 1, 2022 at 18:28
Just wait.

May 25, 2022 at 20:33
Thank you Brit for the amazing work you’re doing. My name is Kamal & I have won the 2023 DV Lottery with case number AF43xxx. I meet the requirement of having a high school certificate.
I have an issue when filling my DS-260 under current Work or Education. I wanna say I’m currently working & that I’m also a student taking online computer science courses as that’s the right(true) information. So that will require me put info for the fields in this section.
I have a problem with the student field. When I select student, they ask me for name & address of the school/institution I’m studying in.
But the problem is my studies are done Online, I’m taking the Online Google Data Analysis Professional Certification on Coursera. There is no physical address for that and I don’t know what address to fill in the DS-260.
I want to be very honest just like you recommend when filling the DS-260 & say the truth. So my question is should I fill in using the physical address of Google(the actual company) because they are the creators of the course or do I use the address of Coursera because they are the people who are delivering the course on their platform.
I’m confused on what to do when filling the DS-260.
I hope you can understand my situation here dear Brit Simon. This is really important & I need advice on what to do.
May 26, 2022 at 14:40
Hello, I have a question about DS 260.I filled my graduation date which is July 9/2016 on the completed day of the degree but my Degree certificate says issued on July 7/2016, will this be a problem please respond.
June 1, 2022 at 16:44
No
June 1, 2022 at 16:11
Online course such as you describe are not formal education and do not need to be listed.
May 25, 2022 at 20:44
Hello Brit, i am grateful for your response to my previous question. In the DS 260 forms, there is a question that goes like: do you seek to enter the united states for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but has not yet been certified by the secretary of labor? Please what should be the right response? Yes or No
June 1, 2022 at 16:10
Yes is my preferred response, but it won’t matter either way.
May 25, 2022 at 21:10
Greetings Brittsimon,
I have been selected for further processing, but I have got a few inquiries to make.
1. When is the deadline for submitting the DS-260 form?
My case no. is AF 60…(are numbers in sixty thousands too high? Will they interview us eventually)
2. Since i filled the DV Lottery application form, some of my circumstances have changed, my fiance gave birth to twin girls on 19th march 2022. I had filled the form stating that I had no children because by then she was pregnant, so when filling the DS-260, can I include the children now?
3. My fiance and I plan to get married this summer, so if I have already filled in the DS-260, is there an option to edit it afterwards to indicate that I am married even though in the first application I was single?
4. I live and work in Doha, Qatar currently, although I am Ugandan, my fiancee and the children live in Uganda, so is it possible for me to attend the Visa interview in Doha and the rest of the family attend the Visa interview in Uganda? Or do I have to travel back to Uganda for all of us to attend the Visa interview together?
5. My fiance already has a child from a previous relationship, if we get married should I include this child even though I have not adopted him? And do we need permission from his biological father to travel with him to US if we are successful?
Thank you and Kind regards
If possible, I request for a call to speak to you.
June 1, 2022 at 16:13
Always quote the year with your case number.
1. There is no deadline as such, but don’t wait more than a few months. It is too early to kow about case numbers.
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. No – interview together.
5. Yes and Yes
May 25, 2022 at 23:24
Hello Mr. Simon, I am in Somalia, on this year I was one of the winners of the dv lottery. I got married on April 13 and I found out I won the dv lottery on May 9. Some people I consulted told me to leave the singel as before, and then I filled out the D-260. a friend of mine told me that you are an expert on these issues, I would ask you can I re-open the Ds-260, and add it to my wife? Also, when I was filing the Ds-260 In particular, in the family question I forgot to put my father’s name written on me as another document “Abdirashiid” I changed it to “Abdirashid” and I miss one ” i” is that caused problem? thank you.
June 1, 2022 at 16:14
You must apply as married because you are married now.
No problem on the name.
June 9, 2022 at 19:56
Thanks Mr. Britsimo. The KCC make me unlocking to my Ds-260. I asked u can I sent another email KCC to tell the reason I request unlocking?as I tell, the application I made was that at first I thought it was going to be completed as a single but many of the recommendations I made told me to add my wife, so I requested that I re-open the Ds-260 form and add to my wife.
June 9, 2022 at 22:52
So what is the question?
May 26, 2022 at 02:01
Hi Brit, thanks for the help you are giving though the blog and your YouTube channel.
I would like to ask you regarding my case, I was born, and I live in Argentina, but since my family is from Italy I have the double citizenship and both passports. I selected Italy for the DV program, and my case number is 2023EU000072xx. Is this an issue that could cancel my process? My embassy will be Buenos Aires Argentina
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sebastian
June 1, 2022 at 16:18
You should have selected the country of birth. The application is clear about that. So unless you were married to someone from EU region when you applied, yes you will be denied.

Sir I’d like to ask you if I’m from syria what documents should I be sending if I’m single
I saw the website but it has many things
Can you please tell me what to send in syria case
June 1, 2022 at 16:19
No. You must read the instructions and determine what you need for your specific case.
June 12, 2022 at 15:58
Hey Luna, is there anyway to contact you as a contact detail or somthing as ihave similar issue to discuss, im from sytia too
May 26, 2022 at 07:08
I’m DV 23. There’s this host who wants to SEND affidavit of support documents directly to the embassy instead of sending them to me. Is it advisable? Secondly, after sending DS260 unlock request to KCC ,is it possible to stop them from unlocking my DS260?( have found out that it was unnecessary).
June 1, 2022 at 16:20
No you cannot do that. You present the I-134 if asked.
They will probably act on the first email that says unlock, before they read the second email to cancel the request.
May 26, 2022 at 08:30
Dear Simon
Regarding the filling of accompany applicants in the ds260 form in the sign and submit form does the case number for all the accompany applicants should be similar to my case number as i am the main applicant?? and what about the passport number?? should i fill the passport number of each accompany applicant or just the passport number of the main applicant??
June 1, 2022 at 16:21
Case number is the same for each person, the passport numbers are unique.
May 26, 2022 at 10:27
Hi Brit, can you please explain me what is the timing after the visa has been approved?
I just got the interview at the consulate and my visa has been approved.
I heard that I need to enter into US within 6 months in order to ‘activate’ my green card. Then, I heard that I can come back to my home country for no more than 1 year. But From when? From my entry in US? From my Visa interview?
Is there some official statement that explain this mechanism in further details?
June 1, 2022 at 16:22
You will have 6 months to enter from the date of your medical.
Then absences from the USA should ideally be less than 6 months per time, 1 year at maximum.
May 26, 2022 at 10:45
Oi Mr S-
2023EU30K here
I have submitted DS may 15
I will marry to my fiancé June this year and will ask KCC to unlock to
update my name, add my husband, update the passport.
In this case does my husband need to fill the whole DS260 same as I did?
June 1, 2022 at 16:22
Yes
May 26, 2022 at 11:54
Dear Simon
CN Af50xxx
thank you a lot for your help
i am waiting for my daughter new issued passport before i fill her ds260 form as you advised but when i went to receive it today they told me to wait for another 10 days,
i already submitted my form as main applicant and my spouse and other daughter as well, we all have the right names on our passport, but my little girl is the only one left and the issue is that her surname on the passport has missed two letters instead of being MohamedElhassan it is written as Mohamedhassen without the EL so my question is
can i just fill her form with the right full name (MohamedElhassan) as the new passport will be issued and enter the passport number of her current wrong name passport ,then i can take the 2 passports of her with me to the interview if i got scheduled for one and claim the mis spelled name as the reason for issuing new one? or can i just unlock her form when i receive her new passport and change her passport number to the new one? as i don’t want to wait any more to submit her form
and would it be an issue the name difference at the interview if i showed her birth certificate with the right name and claim that i issued the new one to modify the spelling issue? please advice
June 1, 2022 at 16:24
YEAR!
Use your judgement about the name. It should be accurate.
May 26, 2022 at 12:42
Hello Simon,
I’m a DV2023 selectee as AS10xxx.
Q1. Is there a high possibility for me to be selected to have an interview?
Q2. I was adopted when I was a baby (3 months old). Then, my adoptive parents changed my family name. So do I need to fill in 2 names in DS-260?
Q3. For the space of parents’ info, shall I fill in my adoptive parents or biological parents?
Both of their names appear on my “household registration transcript”.
Thank you in advanced. I appreciate your help, Simon.
June 1, 2022 at 16:42
1. It is too early to know anything about case numbers etc for DV2023.
2. You use your current legal name and complete the section for other names used.
3. Adoptive
May 26, 2022 at 19:45
Hi Simon
Thank u for the support
1. I have my cousin brother in US, New york holding GC and given his address as reference in DS 260, his friend is ready to sponser us and fill I 134 as my brother is ineligible to sponsor dur to his income constraint. so as I read in instruction I see we need to submit proof of relationship. Where I don’t have any such proof as email / chats / photos with my brother’s friend. What will Be my action point on tis? Is it ok to proceed with his friend sponsorship?
2. Whether the mother surname needs to match with the surname in mother passport?as his Birth certificate hold the same mother’s surnamr as in his passport.?
Regards
Sharmi
June 1, 2022 at 16:48
1. Just list “friend” or “family friend”
2. No
May 26, 2022 at 19:50
Hi Simon, thanks for your beneficial help here.
1. I myself am DV 2022 winner. Case number 2022as10xxx. Still I have heard nothing about my 2nl from KCC since August last year I have submitted my DS260. So, what to do to know whether my case is processed or on?
2. A friend of mine from Afghanistan is DV 2023 winner. Case number 2022as24xxx. As you may know that people here, because of the government fall, won’t easily be able to get a passport. Now she is in the process of filling DS260. In the part of “travel documents, there are 2 options:
A, “passport”, which she doesn’t have in the hand.
B: “other travel documents”
The question is: what if she selects the option “other travel documents”? It won’t make a problem for her case? Can she fill and submit her case without having the passport?
Thanks
June 1, 2022 at 16:49
1. Ask KCC
2. She can complete it without a passport, but will need one later in the process.
May 26, 2022 at 20:20
Sir a friend a mine recently won DV lottery.
He has a daughter but studying in a foreign country he doesn’t want to take his daughter yet because she is too young.
Should the individual fill the DS 260 for the child?
Thanks
June 1, 2022 at 16:53
If she does not include the child in the DV process, it will take years to re-unite with the child later on, while the mother is living in the USA. I would advise including her in the DV process (completing a DS260).
May 27, 2022 at 00:04
Hello Brit. Hope you’re doing well.
DV2021 winner here.
On my DS-260, I had given the address of my green card to be delivered to New York (a friend of mine lives there). Subsequently, my green card was delivered to my friend’s address.
I came back to India and will go back in few months. I want to know if I am a Permanent Resident of the state of New York?
Thanks for your help.
June 1, 2022 at 16:55
No.
May 27, 2022 at 02:33
Hi Brit! I am F1 student from Poland who has been selected in dv2023, currently living in the USA. Can I apply through Warsaw DS260 or do I have to do it through USCIS here? I am not sure when I exactly finish my studies (depends on writing my thesis, probably finishing in 2024). Will there be any problem if I apply from Warsaw? Another question: How can I put my US address in the form, if I do not want to provide my sponsors one, as I want to move in independently once entering the US with eventually a green card? I will surely not know my address while filling in DS or I485 form. Thanks for the answer
June 1, 2022 at 16:57
Read the link below for a comparison of the two methods to process your case. Look at the link in the first post on that thread. I tend to think AOS is best.
You quote current addresses.

May 27, 2022 at 06:35
Hello Brit. Please tell me, after winning the lottery, a child was born, I unlocked and added the child to the DS-260, but made one mistake in the name when
received a foreign passport in the form DS-260 wrote the correct name, whether this would be a refusal at the embassy, or write the name on the birth certificate in the other name.
June 1, 2022 at 16:59
Your question is confused. The DS260 should be accurate.
May 27, 2022 at 09:26
Hi Brit!
My first time of writing to you and I believe you are doing great!
I am winner of the 2021 DV and still waiting! I want to get this off my chest with what is going on with the DV program could it be that State department has no respect for it and will like to shut it down?
The whole episode looks like they fancy teasing and making the life of selectees stressful with their lackadaisical attitude to processing DV and the hollow excuses of COVID and embassy capacity specificity and all that bull!
How can some embassies be doing so well while many others just don’t give a hoot when they know very well that the program is time tied!
Where is the fairness! Or it is now lottery within lottery within lottery!
And it looks like the DV is now associated with a 1500 dollars lawsuit for selectees now! This is so unamerican!

Hello Simon,
I’ve got my visa approved an printed for DV2022. Thanks for all of your advices and videos.
Below are my questions. Please note that I’ve never entered the US before and this will be my first time:
1- Can I enter the US for just one month until I receive my Green Card & Social Security Number for myself and my family and then return back to my home country for one year to settle down everything and then come back to the US permanently? (During this year maybe I will travel to the US every 6 months for like a week or two in case this is the option to retain my PR).
2- Will this lead to cancelling my Green Card for myself and my family?
3- Can I be denied at the airport to enter the US due to the above mentioned?
4- By doing this will I face any risk of losing my PR in the US?
5- I understand that I need to pay taxes from the moment my Green Card is issued. So I will consult a tax consultant for that in case you answer for the above points that there is no problem and that I can retain my Green Card.
Based on your advices I will take my decision. Thank you
Best Regards
June 1, 2022 at 17:03
1. Yes
2. Not normally, no
3. Not normally

June 2, 2022 at 06:33

June 2, 2022 at 19:56

SSN usually 2 to 3 weeks.
GC up to 3 or 4 months.

June 1, 2022 at 17:04
That should be in current occupation.
May 27, 2022 at 11:17
Hey Britsimon,
I hope you are having a good day. I have a question for dv lottery 2023. I am a refugee in Sweden who cannot have a valid passport from my original country. Can I be exempted from having a valid pssport? If exempted, does my current refugee Travel Document (which is expiring after 6 months from now) need to be valid during the interview? Or can I go to the interview without a valid travel document because I am exempted? Do I need to fill any waiver form before my interview? I can still bring my current travel document and documentation that proves my refugee status in Sweden.
I am only asking because the process of having a new valid travel document takes too long here in Sweden.

The passport rule was blocked, so you will be OK, but need a valid travel document for the visa.

Hi Brit,
I’ve recently received my 2nl for an interview at the Auckland Consulate.
My main concern is that I may be refused a diversity visa on the basis of being a ‘public charge’. I’m a recent graduate (Bachelor of Commerce) working for a global FinTech company, and only have about $11k USD in savings. The company I work for has given me a job offer for the US office.
I feel like this should be enough, but I’m still extremely nervous that they’ll deny me because I’m young and don’t have a high enough savings balance. (I have no derivatives)
Just wanted to get your opinion on my situation and was wondering if you know much about the Auckland consulate?

Hi KiwiDV2022, I’m also an Oceania DV2022 winner waiting on a 2NL. Wondering what your case number is? Mine is 2400 so curious to know what number Auckland is up to for interviews if you don’t mind sharing.
June 2, 2022 at 11:08
My CN is OC9XX, but I think Auckland is up to ~11XX (as of when I last looked at the CEAC data)

They rarely ask for finances, but if you are worried, you can provide an I-134 from an American resident family member or friend.

Dear Simon:
If you move your interview to another embassy, and then I you find that it is bad embassy, is it possible to movie your interview for the second time to another embassy? Or to move it back to the old embassy?
June 1, 2022 at 17:06
You can try, but you are probably delaying your case with all the messing around.

Hi Brit! I uploaded my DS-260 form back in November and received nothing from KCC, until today. Today I received email saying “Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov….”
My question is, how long do you think until I get the actual interview date scheduled from this email? I’m in Qatar and the US embassy here is working normally.

Hi Simon,
I have done my Cambridge A/L. Is it eligible criteria?
Also , is it necessary to certify the results sheet from the british council and do they directly send to the US embassy?
June 1, 2022 at 17:07
The requirement and procedure varies by country so read the instructions.
May 27, 2022 at 18:49
Hi Simon,
I had a primary 2 years of teaching experience 8 years ago.
1. Should mentioned this in ds260 form ?
2. In the interview, what the documents should I submit?
Thanks
June 1, 2022 at 17:08
1. Your DS260 should have an accurate work history.
2. Read the instructions.
May 27, 2022 at 19:44
Dear Simon
If I received email (your case is now current for interview processing…)
And case at NVC
1- Then I can’t change interview location through KCC or through embassy?
1- How long does it take to change my status and to become able to change interview location?
May 28, 2022 at 13:34
I received the same email at the same date and time as yours. I would never think of changing interview location at this point because our 2NL is probably goign to come in a few weeks meaning that our interview will be for August if not September. So, further delays like re-locating will definetly put your case at risk.
May 28, 2022 at 13:36
Assuming May 27 is when you got your “ready for scheduling” emial…
June 1, 2022 at 17:21
1. Correct.
2. Varies.

Hi Britsimon,
We have been selected for DV2023 and the case number is ver low number in the first few hundreds, We have submitted our DS 260 already for me my wife whom she the responsible applicant and our daughter. In my wife’s application she has made a mistake in DS 260 form while putting marriage date she has put the wedding date which os not matching the marriage date on certificate because the dates were different, I have put the correct date in my form, how does that affect our application and what is the best thing to do ? My second question is currently Baghdad embassy is closed and do not accept immigration visa interview, how can we change the place if KCC proceed our case to a visa interview later on?
June 1, 2022 at 17:23
Your wife should unlock and correct the DS260.
The interview will be scheduled at a different embassy.

Dear
As usual I have one important question.
I am a principal applicant for DV 2022 with my wife and our one children as a derivative. We are also scheduled for interview in the month of July. This week we have completed our medical examination both the chest x-ray and blood test including our children. Then we went to the doctor for physical examination and to look on the result. The Doctor told us both the chest x-ray and blood test for me and my wife is clean and no clinical problem including our children. After this the Doctor start asking us our Medical history and for any medication we are tacking currently then we told him my wife is tacking a medication for Diabetes and Cholesterol. Finally after he finish he told us my wife is under “Class B Medical Conditions” and he informed us her medical certificate will be sent directly to US Embassy but he give us the medical certificate for me and our one children. My question is:-
1. Since she is not principal applicate does it affect our process.
2. In our country DV winners are not required to bring affidavit of support, does this case my leads us to bring affidavit of support
3. How could be Diabetes patient with 100% physically fit and healthy will be inadmissible? Is that really fair.
Thanks for your response in advance.
June 1, 2022 at 17:29
1. Probably not.
2. It is always wise to be properly prepared, including having an I-134.
3. Class B means NOT inadmissible.

Hi, dear Brit, I am DV2023 winner and have submitted the DS260 form. But the problem is that, I have been to Russia in 2016 for 2 months when I was 19 years old. But I have forgotten to enter it in the previous address section. The purpose of visit was travel as a tourist and I had stayed at my uncle’s house. Can it be problem for me? or should I write an e mail and unlock the DS-260 Form and enter this information? BEST REGARDS
June 1, 2022 at 17:30
No need to unlock for that.
May 28, 2022 at 13:59
Dear Mr.Simon, I have traveled to the US before and I wrote down all my information about visa and travel in my DS-260 but now in the question “Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years?” I could not find United Stetes option so I chose “No” I am wondering if that is okay and if it will affect me and I unlocked my DS-260 I am afriad I won’t find the US option as well. Please I need your advice. Thanks in advacne!
June 1, 2022 at 17:30
It’s OK.
May 28, 2022 at 17:08

Hello there,
Should we show our non-official work experiences in DS-260 form? Accordingly it doesn’t record in employment history document. It means we can’t proof the non-official job experience with documentation.
June 1, 2022 at 17:32
List it anyway.
May 28, 2022 at 18:16
Hi!
Is there any difference in DV2023, if I submit my DS260 in like 2,3 months? Or do I have to do it ASAP?
June 1, 2022 at 17:35
Some scenarios favor the early submission of the DS260, but not all scenarios.

Hello Simon,
I am a 2022AF6xx winner, my appointment was on Jan 18, 2022, and was canceled due to a further medical checkup. By then the embassy told me, they will reschedule my appointment once they received my medical result. They received the result on March 7, 2022. Since this date my status has been showing a READY status although it has been updated three times, March 23, May 6, and May 23,2022 and nothing new up to date. I have also emailed them and say they will send in days, but not happening even in months.
My question is,
Is it KCC or the embassy scheduling my case at the moment?
Kind regards
June 1, 2022 at 17:42
The embassy has your case – contact them. Don’t just sit and wait.

I am been selected for the Dv 2023. I am a confused about my educational qualification.
After my elementary school, I attended Technical school for 3 years, then Polytechnic for 1 year and university for 3 years bachelor degree.
I have more than 15 years of working experience.
I want to know if I will be qualify with my educational background.
Since I am not sure of my educational requirements. Can I tell the CO that I want to use both my education and work
June 1, 2022 at 17:41
The requirements vary by country because the education systems vary by country – so I don’t know.
