Greetings, Simon. Thank you very much for all of the tips you provide. Very useful. I have 2 big questions with some following ones. I would really appreciate it if you’d take the time to answer them to the best of your knowledge.
Q#1: when logging into DS-260, it provides you with the option to add applicants (aka derivatives). Can I add my son who is 25 yo and unmarried? Will my son’s DS 260 be processed? Or, will adding him as a derivative jeopardize my application? When I submitted my DC lottery I specified that I have 0 children under the age of 21.
Q#2: in my DS 260 as a principle, it asks if I have children and if my children will be immigrating with me. In my case, I would like my 25 yo unmarried son to immigrate with me, do I answer, ‘YES’? If I answer ‘YES’, what will happen? Or, since he is over the age of 21, I have to answer ‘NO’.
Thanks again,
June 26, 2022 at 18:00
1. You list your 25 year old on your DS260, but you do not create a DS260 for him. He will not get a visa with you.
2. Answer no.
June 26, 2022 at 18:34
Unfortunately, I already did create DS260 for him, I do not know how to remove it. What can I do? please help, Simon!
June 26, 2022 at 20:55
You cannot remove a DS260 – so all you can do is email KCC, ask them to unlock it then leave it unlocked.
June 22, 2022 at 21:47
Hi Simon
I spent last month on vacation in a neighbouring West African country. I set my current address as the address I was staying in that country in my ds-260 form because I was in that country when I submitted my form. I’m now in my country. Should I request for unlocking and then update my current address?
June 26, 2022 at 18:00
Yes
June 22, 2022 at 21:59
Greetings, Simon. Thank you for your input. I have a few questions, i would greatly appreciate it if you’d take some time to answer them to the best of your knowledge.
Q1: Once you are logged into the DS 260, there is an option to add derivatives. I have a 25 year old unmarried son. Should I add him as a derivative to see if he can accompany me? When i completed my lottery, I indicated that I have 0 children under the age of 21.
Q2: In my DS 260 application, in the ‘Family’ section, there are questions about my children. What will happen if I answer ‘Yes’ to the question whether my son is immigrating with me? Will it jeopardize my DS 260 application? Should I just respond ‘No’ to avoid any complications? In reality, I do want my 25 yo unmarried son to immigrate to the US with me.
Q3: Should I wait until December 2022 to submit my DS 260?
I know you are collecting some stats for 2023, my case number is in the low EU20,000s.
Thank you for your time and help,
June 26, 2022 at 18:09
Already answered 1 and 2.
3. No. You should submit soon.

Hi Brit. I am a DV 2022 winner and my case number is AF25×××. My wife is pregnant and about to give birth in July. How can I add this baby to ds260? Again will they accept that, that child to be part of the family? because I won it with my family but my wife wasn’t pregnant then. so for how long will it take for them to call us for an interview because they said by September 2022 it will expire? Will it be before September 2022?.
Thanks
June 26, 2022 at 18:10
If you get scheduled for interview, contact the embassy to add the baby.
June 23, 2022 at 16:06
Hi BritSimon,
My name is Enoch from Ghana. I’ve been a professional teacher for four years now. I won DV 2023, I have Bachelor’s Degree in education, however, my high school certificate is damaged and it’s impossible to get an original certificate back. Can I go to my high school and get my high school transcript as evidence of high school completion?. Can that together with work document qualify me either by education or work?
Thank you.
June 26, 2022 at 18:14
Gather whatever evidence you can.
June 23, 2022 at 17:55
Hello Brit, hope all is well.I am a 2023 Dv lottery winner with # AS47***. Please I need answers to the following questions.
1. I am currently a student at one of the Universities in my country. What am I suppose to enter for my current occupation? Should I choose ‘student’ as my current occupation.?
2.And about the student address, is it right to enter the Postal addresa?
3. What should I enter for the highest level of education completed? Is it right to use the High school Certificate since I’ve already completed that level.
4. What should I enter for the number of institutions attended? Should I include my current University which sum up to two.
Looking forward for your response. Thank you.
June 26, 2022 at 18:15
1. Yes
2. The address where you attend.
3. Yes – the key is COMPLETED.
4. The key is ATTENDED – again, past tense.
June 23, 2022 at 18:15
Hi Brit,
My immigrant DV visa is on my current passport which will expire in 11 months, if I renew my passport can I use both passports at the POE and will I be able to travel outside the USA while waiting for the actual card?
Thank you.
June 26, 2022 at 18:17
Yes
June 23, 2022 at 22:06
Missing Documents
BritSimon,
I have lost some documents such as the passport I entered the US with with the accompanying visa stamps etc.
1. How critical is this in the process of AOS?
2. What steps should I begin taking to make up for this if and when it comes up during my process
3. Do you know at what stage in the process I’m supposed to present these supporting documents?
Please advise. Thank you
June 26, 2022 at 18:18
1. Not critical.
2. You can use your I-94 history (online – google it)
3. At interview.
June 24, 2022 at 04:03
Hi Mr.Brith,
Thank you for sharing your experiences.
I am a dv23 winner.
1- some people say that this year we don’t have to send our documents, rather we just have to bring it to interview. Is that right?
2- Exactly in which month should I send my documents?
June 26, 2022 at 18:19
1. So far that seems to be the case, but it could change.
2. See 1
June 24, 2022 at 08:09

June 24, 2022 at 08:24
Dear simon
Regarding the latest update from the CEAC about updating the ds260 form saying that
The re-opening of ds260 will cause that case to lose their place in line for processing ,
And their recommendation quoted“ instead, once the case has been scheduled the post can be informed that there are changes that need to be made to the DS260, and post can reopen the document to allow to update to be made through the CEAC PORTAL. Likewise the visa applicant can and should inform the officer at the interview of any information on the form that has become outdated so that the form can be annotated or reopened to be amended by the applicant, as appropriate “ .
So my question is i am expecting a new baby mu due date is on October i already submitted my ds260 on 22nd of may and my CN is Af50xxx, i dont want to lose my place on line by reopining the ds-260 for me and my spouse to add the new baby, i just want to make sure that we can just add the baby after being scheduled for an interview by mailing the embassy and just add a new applicant to my case by adding a ds260 form for him without unlocking our forms??
June 26, 2022 at 20:24
When you have the baby, unlock and add the child.

June 24, 2022 at 08:28
Dear Simon, hope you are doing well.
1 : when do you expect the numbers for DV23 to come out? ( total number of people selected )
2: will we be able to know exactly how many real cases are ahead of us and and how many after us ( regardless of those who doesn’t want to process further after being selected )
3: will we be able to know maximum number of visa’s allocated for each continent?
4: will we be able to know the number of approved visa’s out of 55k, and number of remaining visa during fiscal year?
June 26, 2022 at 20:25
1. Next VB in about 2 to 3 weeks.
2. Not exactly.
3. We know that now.
4. When we get the CEAC data for DV2023 (starting in January) we will have more information.
June 24, 2022 at 09:59

June 26, 2022 at 20:26
Looks like they won’t be asking for documents – but that could change.
June 24, 2022 at 14:08
Good morning Brit Simon,
I hope this message meet you in good health. I’m a diversity visa winner 2022, I’m in the states now, thanks for your guidance and directions it mean a lot to me. may you continue to stay strong and do more for others in the future.
I have a question, now I’m a green card holder which mean permanent resident, so, my question is, I intend to call my finance to join me in the states, what is the timeframe I can do that?
Regards,
Stephan
June 24, 2022 at 14:14
Dear Stephan, congratulations. I’m a DV 2022 winner too yet to be interviewed in August.
2 questions for you if you don’t mind; how long did it take you to get the green card from the day you entered USA? Also, How was your interview experience like questions asked etc..?
Thank you!!
June 26, 2022 at 20:26
That takes 2 to 3 years.
June 26, 2022 at 23:31
As a LPR, you cannot sponsor your fiancée. You’ll need to first get married before you can sponsor her as your spouse, and this could be a two to three year process.
p.s. apologies Simon for butting into your territory.
June 26, 2022 at 23:41
You can’t resist huh! 🙂
June 27, 2022 at 00:38
???????????? – got that right
June 24, 2022 at 15:37
Dear Simon,
I’m from syria
And we don’t have an embassy in syria
All syrians all being scheduled in amman, jordan
but my nationality is palastinian
And amman don’t allow palastinian people to enter jordan.
I put in the ds260 my interview in Abu Dhabi do you think that they will put me in amman considering that Abu Dhabi is far from syria unlike amman and lebanon.
Thank you very much.
But I’m afraid that they will put me in a country that I cannot go to for interview.
June 24, 2022 at 15:47
Hello Simon
My case number AF31*** has been AV for a while and I contacted Lome to see if I can transfer my case there from Accra. They told me due to their workload they can’t so I should for the being stick with Accra.
I realized Ouagadougou has a very low annual selection for instance they had a total of 72 selectees for DV2021 and I checked their data on dvcharts where they’ve conducted interviews up to the 64thousandth range.
If I contact them to transfer my case there do you think Accra will be willing to transfer my case.
Per my observation Accra isn’t doing any interviews and with three months left it seems I’m running out of luck so any guidance on the transfer of my case from Accra to Ouagadougou will really be helpful.
June 24, 2022 at 16:13
Hello Simon.
Thanks God I am one of the selectees of the DV-2023. I applied with my wife.
My Case Number is 2023SA2XXX
Could you give me a possible interview date based on your experience?
I sent my DS-260 on June 7th.
I am Cuban.
Thank you for your work.
June 26, 2022 at 20:28
Won’t be in 2022 – so spring/summer next year.
June 24, 2022 at 17:34
Dear Simon,
I renewed my passport so now my Immigrant Visa is on the cancelled one.
I just read on USCIS website:
“If the stamp in the passport is endorsed and is near but not on the immigrant visa, it is still a valid endorsement.”
Questions:
1) At the POE will they only stamp my renewed passport?
2) If (1) is true then the endorsment won’t be near or on the MRIV, so it’s invalid?
3) Can I travel outside the US before receiving the PR card and what do I need for reentry?
4) Was it a bad idea to renew my passport before activating my IV?
Thanks
June 26, 2022 at 20:28
I’m not sure I understand your concern.
June 24, 2022 at 18:00
Missing Documents:
BritSimon,
How does one deal with situation of missing documents.
I’VE lost my original passport with original non-immigrant visa with 1-94 .
1. What is the best approach to a situation like that IN Preparind documents for the submission and interview process.

Honest answers to any questions…
June 24, 2022 at 19:51
Hello,
Thank you for doing this. I am in the U.S as a F1 visa holder but I want to continue with the consular processing instead of adjustment of status. I filled the D260, saying that I will be here until I graduate (december 2023) and the address that I am currently living in will my permanent address. I have pretty much everything settled here and I don’t need a social security number since I have it. I am going to my home country to give the interview.
1.To be short, in my DS260 there wasn’t any petitioner section. Any idea why that happened?
2.Should I ask any agency/authority? Is it normal?
3.I got the DS260 confirmation. What is the other step/any form to be filled or we just wait for letters from them?
June 26, 2022 at 20:30
1. DV cases do not have a third party petitioner.
2. Normal.
3. Just wait.
June 24, 2022 at 20:28

June 25, 2022 at 03:45
Hey simon,my father is a dv lottery selectee this year. My father currently works in military forces in sri lanka.when a military personal go to the interview without resigning from his job the interviewer don’t take the passports of us straight away even though my father has all the qualifications required because U. S. Don’t accept active military personal to the country.if we resign from his job and not get selected to enter u. S. He will loose his job and we won’t have a income after that. So sir my question is if we tell the interviewer we will resign from his job after the interveiw(he takes about 1 month to resign)will it be a disadvantage for us to be issued a visa?
June 26, 2022 at 20:40
I don’t know.
June 25, 2022 at 10:14
Hello Mr. Brit Simon,
DV2022AS13XXX winner here. I finally got my 2NL scheduled for 18 August in Amman.
I have a 1 year old son from my Ex wife. I submitted his DS260 with me and my daughter from the new wife. However I mentioned in his DS260 that he will come to USA later. His name was listed in the 2NL email to attend the interview
My questions are:
1. Is it mandatory for my son from ex wife to attend the interview with me on 18 August?
2. If not, and If I can postpone his interview/his coming to the United States to a later date. What’s the deadline given to my son from my ex wife? Is it until 30th of September 2022? Or am I allowed to postpone his interview/his coming to the US till next year 2024?
June 26, 2022 at 20:43
1. No
2. If you want him to come, use the DV interview, otherwise it will be a different, much slower process.
June 25, 2022 at 12:48
Hi Brit!
In first DV form, I mistakenly didn’t add one of my children to the application. I can add her in DS-260 Form by clicking on ADD APPLICANT. Does it cause me problem at the time of the interview? Is it better to add her or leave her aside and complete our forms without her?
June 26, 2022 at 20:43
You will be disqualified.
June 25, 2022 at 18:35
HELLO BRIT THIS IS MY CASE NUMBER 2023AF00020XXX AND DID NOT SUBMITTED THE DS-260 FORM YET. AM I LATE ?
June 26, 2022 at 20:44
Not really.
June 25, 2022 at 20:09
Hi,
Thank you for your support. I have a question,
1. To create my social media accounts I have used my husband’s Email Addresses. Do I have to mention those emails in my previous emails section ?
( I am not using those emails only used to create the social media accounts )
June 26, 2022 at 20:44
No
June 25, 2022 at 20:20
Hey Brit! I have a quick question. Is there a possibility for a region or a country to run out of visas and lose ones chance even after receiving a 2NL or receiving a 2NL means that the person is almost through and a visa is available for him or her and visas wont run out?
June 26, 2022 at 20:45
A very small possibility, yes
June 25, 2022 at 20:41
Hey Brit, One more question. My case number is 2023AS17XXX from Sri Lanka. I was married at the time I played in 2021 for the DV2023 and I have included my wife and kid in my original entry and DS260 which I have submitted by mid May 2022 so no problems there. However, I have already filed for divorce after entry and before the 1NL and the court has allowed the divorce (decree nisi date on 30th May 2022) which will come to effect on 6th September 2022 (decree absolute date). I have filled the DS260 that my then wife and my kid will not be migrating to the USA with me. In your opinion, should I unlock my DS260 after 6th September 2022 and adjust my current material status or just face the interview should I ever got one? I have a doubt that the relevant divorce certificate and other documents and translations will not be ready by my possible interview data. (Similar case IDs from last year (DV2022) has got interviews around April/May 2022 here in Sri Lanka).
June 26, 2022 at 08:05
Hi!May I know how did you find out the timeline of interviews based on the case number?from SL with Case number AS22***.thank you
June 26, 2022 at 20:47
Modify the status at the interview.
June 27, 2022 at 08:02
Hi Brit, Thanks for your valuable advise. Appreciate it.
Please advise me on how to modify the status at the interview? Are the embassy officers providing me with a manual/online form to fill on the day of the interview or do I have to inform them about this verbally? How is this modification suppose to happen?
June 28, 2022 at 23:32
You can email the embassy once scheduled and ask them the mechanics of it.
June 25, 2022 at 21:44
Is there anything new for 2021
June 26, 2022 at 20:48
Just waiting for the appeal still.
June 26, 2022 at 01:04
Hello Sir,
1.Can you explain about the case numbers of derivative applicants? do they get a case number at the moment when their principal applicant wins DV lottery or they get one later as the interviews get scheduled on?
2.Regarding cut off case number-like how many people do they target from each region.AS 5000,AF10000 like wise. Also in ASIAN region up to what number normally gets scheduled for interviews?
June 26, 2022 at 20:49
1. They have the same case number as the principal.
2. The question is really vague.
June 26, 2022 at 09:41
Hi Brit,
I activated about 4 months ago. I came back to home country and later quit my job and will finish working in about a month. Now I am trying to sell my belongings car furniture etc. it migh take me longer. Should I enter before 6 months of the last time or does it not matter as long as it is within a year? Thank you
June 26, 2022 at 20:50
Less than 12 months is fine.
June 26, 2022 at 10:16
Dear Mr. Simon, Thank you for the video. Me and my sponsor are now in the process of filling the form. I have a question on this form, rather my sponsor asks me. According to the format, Part 3 is about the sponsor. She now wants to get clarified something. It is question 15 of part 3. She says unlike the former 134, there is no place to indicate her income directly but part 3 item 15 also confusing because last column says “Income contribution to the beneficiary annually”. Both of us are confused there now, does this means that when she puts her annual income, it reflects that she contributes that whole amount to the beneficiary (to me)? Glad if you can clarify this matter, and thank you.
June 26, 2022 at 20:51
https://youtu.be/hVTNJc2i6sw
June 27, 2022 at 17:20
Yes Mr. Simon. We both watched the video. I sent it to her and she also watched it. Still, she asked about the Heading of the 4th column of question 15 of part 3 of that table where it says “Income contribution to the beneficiary annually”…I don’t want to create confusion in a sponsor’s mind and wanted to ask your opinion. It seems that the question is vague to ask from a sponsor. It should have been straight forward if the question formed as “what is your income”, it was direct in the previous I-134. Thank you so much for tolerating us.
June 26, 2022 at 11:33
Hello Simon
My case number is AF 27XXX, country of chargeability is Egypt, the Post is Riyadh. I have not received 2NL so far, my questions are, 1- is Riyadh is doing good and receiving enough cases?, 2- shall I try to re-assign for another embassy in gulf region like, UAE, Kwuit or Qatar?, 3- do you see my chance is pretty good to be accepted before fiscal year closes by 30 September.
Many thanks
June 26, 2022 at 20:52
There is almost no time left before the year ends, so just be hopeful.
June 27, 2022 at 18:56
Would you pleas make more clear for me Sir, I really appreciate your answers to my question, it might help me really.
June 26, 2022 at 15:03
Hello simon,I dv2023 winner from sri lanka and have already filled out and submitted the ds260.I am the winner and I have filled my information correctly. But in my spouse’s place of birth I have written colombo instead of maradana which is in birth certificate. But maradana is a small city which is situated in the city colombo. As sri lanka is a small country and the boundaries of cities are too small is it necessary to unlock the ds260s and change it? Or can i change it in the interview?will it be a disadvantage in the interview?
(I got to know that place of birth is a sensitive information from your latest article of unlocking ds260)
June 26, 2022 at 20:52
Change at interview.
June 26, 2022 at 15:32
Hi – hope you are doing well!
How long does it usually take to get a re-entry permit (i.e. get biometrics processed etc)? Any examples from your experience with other people?
Thank you!
June 26, 2022 at 20:52
around 6 to 8 weeks.
June 26, 2022 at 21:21
Thanks for your reply! Do I need to present any evidence to support my application?
June 26, 2022 at 22:31
Not usually, no.
June 26, 2022 at 16:13
Hello.I have a question about my work experience I filled my employer’s name as XXXX sub-city civil service administration because the sub-city posted a vacancy and employed me in one of the health centers in its catchment area and the civil service is the one who will write me my work experience when i need it do you think this is a mistake some people said you should have filled as XXXX health center in employer name? dv 2023 winner
June 26, 2022 at 20:53
Use your own judgement.
June 26, 2022 at 19:28
Hi Simon,
I realize I have ds160 application awaiting interview but I apply as single but the interview appointment was around 2025 but in may I realized that i won dv 2023 together with my wife.
In this case i have cancel the appointment for the ds160 so that i could focus on dv lottery.
1. Would this affect my dv lottory case because I have cancel the ds 160 applications which would infact be in 2025 per the appointment date.
June 26, 2022 at 20:57
No
June 26, 2022 at 19:35
If I won DV2023, am I allowed to also partecipate to DV2024 meanwhile I wait to be processed for DV2023?
Thanks in advance!
June 26, 2022 at 20:57
Yes
June 26, 2022 at 19:41
If I go to interview with let’s say 30k euros in the bank (which is definitely high for Italy but not so high for the USA) and they still ask for I-134 but I don’t have anyone to provide me with one, are there other options to pass the public charge requirement or am I scr*wed? I know that another option is a job offer but is it possible for someone to find a job in the USA before getting the visa? If it’s possible, should I start looking for a job right after they schedule me for an interview?
Thanks in advance!
June 26, 2022 at 20:57
30K would normally satisfy the public charge requirement.
June 26, 2022 at 20:15
Hi Brit Simon
Weird thing happened. I am a 2023 Winner EU region.
Now I filled the dv entry form out and remember doing it. It’s very obvious that you either put married or single or with children etc. I put all the details in of my family but no one shows up on my summary ds-260 page only me.
I don’t understand what’s happened you can’t miss them out on the original form.
Is there another box I ticked by accident that would exclude them?.
I just can’t understand it there us no reason for me to miss them and I know I haven’t as I have done the entry 5 times before.
Any help or explanation would be great
June 26, 2022 at 20:59
Sounds like you did not include them.
June 26, 2022 at 20:18
Hello,
2022EU021XXX. We have finally been scheduled for interview on august. Thank you very much for all your information!
!
I have some questions:
1) Is it enough to have the I-134, or will they ask for a big amount of money in your bank account?
2) 3 months ago I got unemployed, and I wasn’t able to change my DS260. I decided to finish my studies and be a home mum for my 1year old kid for a time. Will this affect my chances to get the visa?
3) I know that once I have done my medical exam I have 6 months to enter in the USA. After that, how much time do I get to settle in? I mean, we are planning to just get in the USA to get the visa and then stay some time in Spain, before going to the USA permanently, but I can’t find the rules about that.
4) About living in USA, do you recommend any page where we can find information about cost living, costs of renting, schools for the kids, lower unemployment rate, best states to live…
Thank You very much!

1. If you have a valid I-134, that is enough.
2. No
3. You can be absent from the USA for up to 12 months.

Hi, first of all thank you for what you do! You’re helping so many people all around the world.
My question is: I’ve been selected for DV23 with a case number EU 32k and looking through CEAC raw data I’m seeing that my country’s embassy rarely interviews cases past 20-25k. But there are other European countries that seems to interview those with higher case numbers more. Would I benefit from scheduling my interview in a country like France or UK, those seem to interview higher case numbers better. Or is there something I’m getting wrong here?

Yeah you are getting that wrong. The numbers are by region, not country.

Hello Simons, I DV2022 I already visa me and the whole family. I want to go alone to the USA. to find accommodation and a job and after 2 to 3 months, the lady and child join me. Is it possible, yes but how to proceed.?
June 26, 2022 at 22:32
If you are the principal selectee, yes you can do that.
June 27, 2022 at 05:51
I am the main Applicant, and how do I get the family to join me after 3 months, knowing that I am already on American territory?
June 28, 2022 at 23:27
Assuming they have their visas, you just buy them air tickets.

Hello Brit I sent my ds260 visa application since 22 of December 2021 but they said by September 2022 the winners of 2022 DV will be expire so if I may ask will I receive the interview date before it expire or once I have applied for it already even if I am not called before the September I still have a chance to be called for interview? Thanks
June 26, 2022 at 23:18
The deadline is September 30. If you have not been interviewed and approved by then, your chance is gone.

Hi Simon,
I sent a question but for some reason was not published. Here is my question again. I am filling up DS260 for my sister who is married. She is the main winner and only she and her husband will be migrating. The dilemma is that her husband has another wife before her but they are separated from a very long time but not officially divorced and he has children with her. They live in two different countries than my sister and her husband. my ask:
1- Shall I mention about the first marriage of her husband although she is the principal winner?
2- If I did would that affect their chances?
Thank you
June 26, 2022 at 23:55
Oh man, that’s a mess.
There are ways to look at this – none of them good.
As the husband was previously married and not divorced, under US law the marriage to your sister was bigamy, and therefore not a legitimate marriage. So – the DV case would be refused because she included a derivative that should not have been included.
Let’s say they didn’t look at it that way, and instead accepted the marriage as legitimate for whatever reason. In that case your sister has step children via marriage. Those children (assuming they were under 21 and unmarried) should have been included in your sisters entry – and if she did not do that, then again, she would be denied.
My advice is to forget she won.

Hi Simon,
thank you for your advice. The Her husbands kids were not under 21 at the time of lottery entry. in our country it is legal to marry than one. they have been married for 25 years now. and they do have a marriage certificate legal and from notarized and they have a son of their own who also was not 21 at the time of submission.
June 28, 2022 at 23:29
OK, so the kids won’t be a problem but a bigamous marriage will be (even though it is legal in your country).

Hello BritSimon,
here is 2022EU000158xx.
Last Wednesday I was able to attend the AOS interview and my case has been approved.
My Green Card has already been mailed and, I guess, I should receive both the Welcome Letter and the GC within this week.
It has been an interesting year and I would like to personally thank you for all the information you provide through this blog and on the YouTube channel as well.
The information you provided were essential to fully understand the entire process and file a successful application.
PS: For the fellow DV winners, please pay close attention to the content and information on this blog, on Brit’s channel and and of the forum https://forums.immigration.com/forums/lottery-visas-dv.119/
They really help to avoid mistakes, file correctly and maximize your chances of success (regardless if you are going through the CP or the AOS process).
Again, thank you.
Keep it going Brit, helping DV winners!

Hello brit.
My mother is DV 2022 winner and we had successful interview last month. We have a family of 4 and my brother and my mothers wants to go to USA before me and my father because I have my exams upcoming and I want to go after 4-5 months which is about one month ahead of visa expiry. Is it possible to do ?
June 28, 2022 at 23:26
Yes that is all fine as long as the principal winner is your mother.

Hello Simon,
I’m a DV22 selectee from Ghana and recently I’ve got my residency permit in Qatar. The embassy here is willing to accept my case, but I’ve been emailing KCC with my residency permit and asking for a change in interview location but they’re not willing to do it.
Please I want to know If there is anything I can do to let them change the location, because if I’m in the line for an interview at Accra embassy which is not scheduling cases, what’s the point in still keeping me there while I have a chance to be scheduled at Qatar
July 9, 2022 at 23:31
If you are in AV status then KCC will not allow any changes.
