Dear sir.
In my wife’s DS260 form (DV2) we have selected March instead of may for month of spouse birthday,
So I would greatly appreciate it if you kindly let me know for this small mistake. Should I ask to unlock my DS260 form for correcting ; or it is possible to correct it in Interview time.
June 28, 2022 at 23:28
Correct that at the interview
July 2, 2022 at 10:44

July 9, 2022 at 23:29
A mandamus lawsuit may help, but there are no guarantees.
June 27, 2022 at 07:50
dear Simon,
I’m from Tunisia, I was living in Saudi Arabia for 18 months for work .
I forget to add KSA number in ds260 “other Telephone numbers used before”
1. Should I ask to add it on interview day before I swear or no need ?
2. How much amount I need in bank settlement to avoid I134 ?
Thank you
June 28, 2022 at 23:30
1. No need
2. At least $10k per person.
June 27, 2022 at 08:50
Hello Sir,
I hope you are fine!
I had my interview on 29 of April and unfortunately one of my documents was under processed so therefore my case was refused and I was told to submit it to one the Dropbox office near you in india. After I got it I submitted it. After one month I received some questions and I answered them all and today I received email that my passport is ready for pickup without my status change.
So does this mean I am rejected completely?
Please help sir i am so worried
June 28, 2022 at 23:33
I don’t know.
July 7, 2022 at 07:04

Hello Sir,
i am DV-2023 winner from AS, Nepal. My case number is around 21000 (21K).
My current Interview location is Kathmandu, Nepal (KDU), however looking at the current trend for DV2022 i don’t see KDU sending 2NL for higher cases number 6300+, after visa bulletin is CURRENT for all regions.
However one case from Nepal (2022AS9186) with interview location in BERMUDA has received 2NL.
My current location is India, Bangalore, I work there as Software Engineer, shall i change my interview location to India, Mumbai (BMB).
will it be a good idea? for my case, seeing my high case number and KDU slowness in scheduling interview for Nepalese winner at CURRENT status?
Thank you
June 28, 2022 at 23:34
Your case won’t be current for a very long time, so it is too early to assume KDU will not be working well next year.
June 29, 2022 at 03:21
So, would it be better if I observe 4-5 VB of 2023 and then take the decision of changing interview location to better working embassy based on which after that if required, right ?
June 29, 2022 at 16:33
Yep
June 27, 2022 at 12:17
Dear Simon,
1 : You said we already know the maximum number of visa allocated for each continent, can you specify how many visa’s are allocated to Asia out of 55K?
2 : will we be able to know the highest case number for each continent ?
3 : according to your experience which two will be the busiest embassy in Asia ( for processing DV interviews )
June 28, 2022 at 23:35
1. Approx 8500
2. Yes – but not yet.
3. KDU will be one of them…
June 27, 2022 at 13:45
Hi Brits,
My friend has a following question;
She is waiting for a 2NL letter. Her husband has been in the US for 4 years now processing refugee status. He gets regular renewable work permit there. Their three kids live with her in Rwanda. What is the best way to present the case of her husband in the green card process and in the interview?
Thank you!
June 28, 2022 at 23:37
I only answer DV lottery questions.
June 29, 2022 at 02:24
I will reformulate my question. A wife won a DV lottery. She is waiting her interview scheduled. However, her husband is in the US for 4 years processing refugee status. How is she going to explain to the officer about her husband living in the US?
June 29, 2022 at 16:33
Just the truth.
June 27, 2022 at 15:08
Hello sir,
I entered my education qualifications M.Sc. ,B.Sc.,and then included high school as well.
But in high school details i entered the time it started as the time I got my previous studies(11th grade) results and end date as the date I got my advanced level results.
My question is Should I have entered the start date – day I entered the school(6th grade) and last date- the date on my leaving certificate instead?
So in order to do that is it worthy to unlock? I already once unlocked and my case number is AS20***
June 28, 2022 at 23:37
NO need to unlock.
June 27, 2022 at 16:12
Dear Simon,
Thank you very much for all your efforts, you are doing such a great work.
Im 2023 winner 2023AS00016xxx, have some questions that i need your help with, please.
1- what email KCC use to send notifications for applicants, is it the email in the ds260 form or the email in the entry application as they refer to the email used for notifications in the selection letter as “the email in your initial application” ? What is the initial application is it the ds or the entry?
2- if it is the email in the entry application, can i send an email to KCC to use my email in DS260 for all later notifications ?
3= in my DS260 the question of the previous employment history for the last ten years, i only mentioned the last 5 years in which i was employed in a company, the other previouse 5 i had my own job like self employed and i assumed self employment is not considered as an employement history because several international companies and organizations worldwide dont consider it as an employment history, so do you think i should unlock ds260 to edit that???
4- assuming they will continue the document procedure this year, how much time do you have to prepare and send the document from the moment they send you the documents procedures email, is there any deadline for that?
June 28, 2022 at 23:44
1. DS260
2. See 1
3. Since your CN has time to wait anyway, you could unlock to correct that.
4. The only deadline is the fiscal year end – September 30, 2023.
June 29, 2022 at 10:01
Thank you very much for your response, one last thing, for number 3 above (the employment history) do you think it is that Risky, serious and Sensitive information to unlock the DS for, or it can be noted at the interview??? As it is the 2nd five years from 2011 to 2017
June 29, 2022 at 17:03
It is always better to have an accurate DS260, and in fact it won’t cause delay if you unlock and correct now, but it’s your choice if you would rather leave that for the interview.
June 27, 2022 at 18:14
So Brit could it be possible that KCC won’t call all the 2022 dv winners before the deadline?
June 29, 2022 at 00:07
That is not only possible, it is a certainty.
June 27, 2022 at 18:48
Dear Simon,
If I understand correctly, the MRIV when stamped with the entry stamp becomes a temporaty I-551 for 1 year.
I have renewed my passport after having my IV printed , so now the IV is on the cancelled passport.
I will present both passports at the Port of Entry.
My question:
While waiting for the GC do I need both passports to prove my status as LPR or just the MRIV on the cancelled passport?
I’m confused because afaik the officer will put an entry stamp on the new passport, and the MRIV without an entry stamp might look like an IV that was never activated. So Do I need both passport to show the MRIV and the entry stamp and thus to prove my status?
Thank you
June 29, 2022 at 00:08
Both passports.
June 27, 2022 at 19:02
Hello Simon,
Please I would like to know if it’s compulsory to qualify by education if you have High School certificate or you can choose to use work experience to qualify even though you have a High school Diploma?
Thank you.
June 29, 2022 at 00:10
You can qualify through either method, education usually being the easiest.
June 27, 2022 at 19:19
Hello Sr.:
I’m Cuban, my number case is 2023S00029xx, Im going to emigrate to Uruguay on October, I completed my ds260 on May 16 but I unlocked on June because I don’t know what to do in this case, I don’t know if I must to wait to October to update my information or send it right now with my actual information and change it on October, and change my place of interview too???
Thanks you!
June 29, 2022 at 00:11
You can update it once you move.
June 28, 2022 at 05:42
Hi Simon,
Can u please let me know how to verify the Cambridge Advanced Level certificate through the British Council?
Thanks a lot in advance.
June 29, 2022 at 00:13
I have no idea. Try google if that is something you think you need to do.
June 28, 2022 at 12:03
Dear Simon
We were selected for the Dv 2023. We did not include child who is under 13 on the application because she is a Us citizen by birth. Do you advise that we include at this stage or even mention her?
June 29, 2022 at 00:16
You can list her on the DS260.
June 28, 2022 at 14:25
hi simon

2. My interview is in Ankara turkey and does it required to translate my Turkish police certificate in English or not.
June 29, 2022 at 00:17
1. Follow the directions on the reciprocity page.
2. No

Hi Brit,
I would like to thank you for your continuous effort and dedication. March 2022 I had my interview in London, may I travelled to the USA with family and in mid June got my green card. Thank you so much. I really appreciate.
June 29, 2022 at 00:21
Awesome. Best of luck in the USA!
June 29, 2022 at 00:28
Hi Brit. 2022OC23##. HUGE thanks to you for your amazing help. We have our Green Cards!! I had my interview June 1st in Auckland and then flew to LA to activate GC last week. We joined Jesse’s lawsuit back in January and so it was all him I’m sure of it.
Just a question: Before our interview unfortunately I was diagnosed with a serious health condition and so flew to the US to activate it quickly. I have 1 year to get back to keep it activated but I have read that I can go just for a couple of days to keep it activated and then get back within another year? So 2yrs in total to keep GC and keep it activated by going to the US within the 1 yr timeframe. Just wondering is this correct please? Many thanks
June 29, 2022 at 16:32
It’s “sort of” correct. The GC is not a visitors visa, so you are supposed to move to the USA and get a home, a job and so on. So – many people have successfully kept their GCs by brief visits to the USA, but there is “some” risk that a grumpy border patrol officer suspects you are not “playing by the rules” and (in the worst case) forwards your case to an immigration judge. If that were to happen (very unlikely, but possible), you would then want to speak to Jesse again!
June 29, 2022 at 04:41
What if a one who won the DV lottery live in several address before he come to 16 years of age and does not remember the address where he lived until 16 years of age.
Is it a issue when filling the DS260
June 29, 2022 at 16:35
The form does not expect a person to list the addresses before the age of 16.
June 29, 2022 at 07:06
Hello Brit,
I’m was a DV2021 winner, the deadline for the fiscal year has passed though I submitted everything just waitin for an interview but when I check my case number status it indicates it is at NVC. Even now it is at NVC.
Does that mean I get a chance for an interview in the future?.
June 29, 2022 at 16:37
No. Your chance is gone.
June 29, 2022 at 09:24
Hi
My father lived in Switzerland for 7 months way back in the day and in the process of getting PCC we have the option of a digital certificate to be sent to us. Would they accept this at the interview? They can also post the certificate just the South African post system is quite inconsistent.
Thanks
June 29, 2022 at 16:43
1. A police cert for a previous country of residence is not required unless the residence was over 12 months.
2. The reciprocity page details how to obtain a police cert for each country, so you follow that instruction.
June 29, 2022 at 09:40
Hi Brit, first of all thank you for all your effort to support the people during very exciting periods of their lives!
I followed your advice to be 100% honest, when completing DS-260 I did not have all my vaccination record or certificates at hand – so I ticket “No” for “Do you have documentation about all neccessary vaccinations” and gave further explanation like: “Currently in the phase of gathering all documents from my doctors”.
In the meantime I obtained all my vax certifactes and will present them at the medical and later in the interview. I don’t expect that to be a neckbreaker for the processing of DS-260 – is my assumption correct?
June 29, 2022 at 16:45
No – it doesn’t impact the processing at all.
June 29, 2022 at 11:22
Dear Simon,
1)My country of birth is “A” (Eligible for DV2022) and I am not a citizen of “A”
2)My country of Citizenship is “B” (also eligible for DV2022)
3)Both of my parents were born in country B thereby I got my citizenship of” B”
4)By mistake, I chose country B as chargeability when I fill DV2022 lottery entry form.
5)Both the countries are in the same region and country A has 900 selectees and country B has 800 selectees for DV2022.
Q:Will I be disqualified for my mistake?
June 29, 2022 at 17:04
No
June 29, 2022 at 12:31
Dear Simon,
CO asking a question to the interviewer people “what is your highest level of educations”
I studied as mentioned below :
1- High school no Diploma
2- Diploma of technician
3- High school Diploma
3- University no degree (I studied two years in university and I did not continue )
Please help me I don’t want to say to CO that I studied this this and this , I want specific answer.
This question make me very confused ; is this question meaning for completed studied or also uncompleted study as well?
Can you tell me what should I answer to him ?
Thank you
June 29, 2022 at 17:05
Better to just be honest and say what you did.
June 29, 2022 at 12:52
Hi Brit,
Just want to take a moment to thank you for everything you do to support DV winners. My diversity visa was issued to me last Wednesday at the Auckland embassy.
I remember watching your initial video for DV2022 winners back in May last year, and ever since that day, you’ve been on this journey with me.
Your videos and blog have helped me tremendously throughout this process, and now I have this incredible opportunity to start a life and career in the United States (arriving 25 July).
Thank you so much.
Logan
June 29, 2022 at 17:06
You’re welcome!
Best of luck in the USA!!
June 29, 2022 at 15:49
Hi Simon,
I am a DV2022 winner and will have a interview at the end of August. Currently, the total number of Issued and Ready status is nearly 55k. What will happen if the number of issuance reach 55k? Interviews will be cancelled?
June 29, 2022 at 17:07
We won’t reach 55k. There are many cases already refused within the scheduled cases.
July 15, 2022 at 01:57
Hi Simon,
I am a DV2022 winner and I did my interview on 30/05/2022 and they change my case to administrative process and they give me the ( background information ) questions will I lose my opportunity? Since that time I still on administrative process . Also how usually it takes the administrative process to be completed ?
Thanks ????
July 15, 2022 at 04:49
AP time varies.
June 29, 2022 at 15:55
I want to ask you about the photos of me and my family should be new photos or not we got accepted but some people say we may get refused because our photos are old is that true
June 29, 2022 at 17:08
Unless the photos are VERY old (and therefore OBVIOUS) this is unlikely to cause denial.
June 29, 2022 at 16:34
Dear Simon,
I am DV-2023 winner from AS, Iran. My case number is around 4000 (4K).
I have a question that I could not recognize the certain answer please help me. My military service will end at the end of September, and I have not yet sent the ds 260 form. Do you think I should wait for military service to end or fill out the form now and explain that it will end at the end of September? I am aware that late submission of the ds 260 form can delay the time of my interview invitation.
June 29, 2022 at 17:10
It is your choice. Just be aware that your Iranian military service will probably mean an extended period of AP (background checks after the interview) so the sooner you interview the better.
June 29, 2022 at 17:33
Sincerely thank you for your response. In your opinion, there will be no problem if I undoubtedly send ds 260 form earlier than the end of my military service? How can I complete the military part question in my form before completing the military service??
June 29, 2022 at 19:48
The concept of “no problem” doesn’t exist in your case. You have risk. You must decide what you want to do.
June 29, 2022 at 16:37
Hello Simon,
I have this dilemma, I was married to someone and I applied the dv lottery as a married status and also I applied the DS260 as married and I got my interview appointment a week ago and I am the principal applicant, the problem is I ended up into divorce for now and I need a way to go ahead and do the interview by myself only and just bring the divorce certificate with me at the interview. What is your insight of the proper way of handling the issue?. Thanks .
June 29, 2022 at 17:11
The proper way would have been to unlock your DS260 and update your marital status, but yes – take the divorce paperwork to the interview and the CO can update your status there.
June 29, 2022 at 16:46
Hi simon
Thank you alot for your help
Cn 23AF50xxx
My little girl had been issued anew passport and we have just received it there was a spelling mistake in her last name in the old passport and we had to issue a new one
I already submitted her details in her ds form with the old passport details and i am planning to unlock her form and update her new passport info and also i am expecting a new baby next October and i have to unlock me and my spouse forms to add the new baby then
My question is is it better to wait until October and update all pf our forms or i have to unlock her form for now and unlock ours in october?
June 29, 2022 at 17:12
You could do all updates when you unlock.
July 1, 2022 at 04:28
Thank you alot for your help
I just want to know if i request an unlock for specific form for an accompany in my case. Do kcc unlock all of the forms in the case or only that specific form for the accompanying?
July 9, 2022 at 22:47
They only unlock the form you specify.
June 29, 2022 at 17:11
Hi Simon, I applied for my unabridged (long form) birth certificate today and they said there’s a huge backlog in South Africa – it may take up to 1-2 years. If I don’t get the document in time for my dv2023 interview in which I have a case number below 2k or even before the end of the dv2023 year will the embassy deny my visa?
June 29, 2022 at 19:47
I don’t know whether they will take the backlog into account or not. If I were you I would look for faster options (paid express service) or whatever you can to get the document faster.
June 30, 2022 at 02:55
Hi J. That is true – the backlog is a few years. There is an alternative way though. We had to complete additional documents at DHA whereby they can recreate this document if they don’t find it in PTA and you will have it within a few weeks. My suggestion – contact docassist.co.za They are very helpful with this and can guide you. We have our interview in 2 weeks and hoping for the best
July 3, 2022 at 07:57
Good luck! What was your guys CN? Please tell me how the interview goes????
July 4, 2022 at 04:21
Thanks and hope everything will be fine with the interview. Our CN is in the AF26k range. Sure thing, will let you know how the interview goes (10 days to go)
July 14, 2022 at 17:02
Hi J… we had our interview today and approved without any problem. A few tips though – read the reciprocity site as well. It states you have to to have an unabridged marriage cert as well if you are married – and a few more points. We only had a normal cert and thought that it is going to be a problem but for some reason this was not necessary. Also very easy to overlook an official document that is in your native language (Afrikaans in our case) – so just double check that and do the translation – they scrutinized these forms. Also as Brit always points out – the question if you’re going to get an interview is very questionable. You almost have to win the interview as well 🙂 I’ve followed up with them regularly and think we were lucky because our case was “in the spotlight”. Good luck with your case and you’re welcome to let me know how it goes
July 15, 2022 at 03:43
Ah ok that’s amazing! Was it just generic questions? Goodluck in the USA????????????
July 16, 2022 at 02:11
Thanks and appreciate it. Yes, very generic questions like – “have you ever had problems with local law enforcement” and “what do you do for a living” and “where do you plan on staying in the US” etc… and no trick questions. Very quick and easy process once they find your documents in order. I’m very relieved it’s over and was a VERY long wait. Good luck with your interview
June 29, 2022 at 23:58
Hi Brit, thanks for always replying. How can I know if my case is processed or not since it’s not yet available at Ceac website? DV2023 submission of ds 260 in may ?
June 30, 2022 at 04:06
Hi! I have a question regarding a DV lottery case from 2018…
My husband applied for the 2018 dv lottery and we got approved… We couldn’t move forward with the process due to a major force.
So, my question is… Is there a way that we could reopen the case?
I read somewhere in the USCIS website I think.. that after not completing a process the case is filed after 2 years. I contact KCC on july, 2020 but due to the pandemic they said they couldn’t give me information and that the case was closed but the case was supposed to be closed in september 2020.
I contacted an immigration lawyer in MA but he said I need a lawyer that knows about the legislation for dv lottery and they just do assylum visas. So that’s how I got to your youtube channel.. I hope you can help me or at least give some light about who I can contact or what to do. Thank you so much.
June 30, 2022 at 13:59
You have to be more clear about what happened. You say you were approved. OK – so you had an interview and were given a visa – right? Did you enter the USA to activate your status as an LPR? Be clear.
June 30, 2022 at 06:05
Hi Brits the quality of support are good information the service is good I’m still interested actually am praying for my case to be process again I thank you for good support
June 30, 2022 at 08:01
Hi Simon,
A wife won the 2023 lottery with her husband. ever since they were divorced, will that affect her winning? how does she communicate it to the KCC? does she still need to fill out a ds260 form for him?
Thank you for the help.
June 30, 2022 at 14:01
If she has divorced, she simply completes the DS260 for herself, listing her status as divorced.
June 30, 2022 at 08:34
Hi brit
I have some issues that concerns me about my ds260
First: about social media identifier, I wrote on that field my user email ,for an example: amgadzayton at yahoo (edited by Simon)
and I don’t know is that right or not
Second: my legal name in passport: Amgad Nadershah Zayton
In the ds260 I wrote the following:
amgad (in given names field)
Zayton (in surnames field)
No middle name has been written..
and I repeated that with my wife ,son ,daughter, mother and father’s
Is those issues deserve to reopen my ds260??
And will that affect my processing time??
Best regards
Amgad
June 30, 2022 at 14:04
The social media is fine.
Your complete legal name should be in the DS260 though. Unlock and correct it.
June 30, 2022 at 16:22
But brit my middle name appears in my father’s section is it enough?
July 9, 2022 at 22:42
Please refer to my previous answer.
June 30, 2022 at 08:43
Hi wish you are good ,
I have two questions: the first, when writing the experience certificate, I wrote IT Service desk, and when I received the experience certificate from the company, they gave me the name “helpdesk agent.” This is for two company’s since 2011 till 2013 and another company from 2013 till 2017
In my passport they said /
country /AuthorityThat issued Document
And I’m from Yemen and I born in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh, and in this question, in my passport said issuing Authority and I wrote : RIYADH ,
regarding the two questions, are they correct or not, and if there is a mistake, prepare to open the DS 260?or no need ?
June 30, 2022 at 14:05
1. That’s OK.
2. Your issuing authority is Yemen if your passport is Yemeni.
June 30, 2022 at 14:31
I understood the question that it is the place of issuance, does this prepare for rejection or should the form be opened? Or normal issue and no need to open ds260?
July 9, 2022 at 22:36
That should be corrected in the DS260.
July 4, 2022 at 15:26
Hi Mister Britsimon

Hi mister Simons, I’m a dv 2023 winner but my question is i have a bachelor degree and when I filled my ds 260 I forgot to include my high school diploma information I only put my bachelor degree information.
Do I need to unlock my ds 260?
June 30, 2022 at 14:11
Ideally correct it. If your number is not very low you’ll be waiting anyway, so there is time to correct it.
July 1, 2022 at 00:44
My Cn is approximately 100XX. Can I correct it in the interview???
July 9, 2022 at 22:47
Your number is meaningless without the year and region.

Hello brother BritSimon,
1.Does the response below from KCC means they’ve already started processing the DS260?
2. Typically how long does the DS260 take to be fully processed, especially for those with derivatives?
Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Once the Kentucky Consular Center has finished processing your DS-260, you will receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.

Hello Simon,
I am sponsoring a couple for dv 2022 winner. As per poverty guidelines I have to show $34,687 income for 4 members ( including my couple). My income is 25k and my wife is 13k and we have been doing joint tax file for many years. Can this fulfill the requirements or do I need to have $34,687 income separately?
July 9, 2022 at 22:40
Just about enough.
June 30, 2022 at 19:39
Good day Britsimon.
Thanks for the great selfless service you’re doing. God bless you.
Please I need your opinion on my case.
Our sponsor files taxes for our US citizen child (who lives with us outside the US), so our child’s name appears on his
Form 1040 income tax return.
Please would it have any adverse effect on our case during the interview?
Your opinion or advise would be very much appreciated.

Hello
I was randomly selected for the 2023 DV Visa lottery.
I submitted my DS260 application a week after checking my status in May.
I am a Ghanaian (African) but based in Europe and selected Hungary as my prefered interview place/embassy. My case number is around 22k. I have these questions.
1. Did i rush in submitting the DS260? Should i have waited a little?
2. Is my case number high? What does it mean. ( i will watch your videos to get a better understanding)
3. When should i expect to be to called for an interview?
July 9, 2022 at 22:43
1. No.
2. Medium range.
3. Early next year.

Hi Brit,
Thank you for your time and effort in helping us. I am a 2022 DV selectee from Ghana with case number 2022AF14***, I wrote to KCC and they replied to me on 1 June with this.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive a notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
KCC is aware of recent executive orders and is actively working on Diversity Visa (DV) Program cases. Please monitor travel.state.gov for general updates to the DV Program and related regulations. You should also check the information posted by the Embassy or Consulate you chose for the location of your interview for operations details. The process for scheduling DV appointments has not changed from previous years. Selectees will be asked to check the Entrant Status Check (ESC) website by email sent to the address they provided as soon as an interview is scheduled. KCC cannot predict when individual cases will be scheduled for an interview and you are not asked to take any additional steps if you have already provided all your documents and information. Please remember that selection for participation in the DV Program is not a guarantee of a visa or of a visa interview. If you have a specific inquiry not related to scheduling an interview, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.
My question is, is it almost a month since I received this reply from KCC but I have not received any email.
do I have the chance to be interviewed?. thank you

BritSimon,
Great job with the information sharing.
I am from Ghana, won dv 23 with case number of AF25***.
I am a bit concerned with the public charge issue.
I completed high school in 2009 ,things were very difficult so I didn’t have anything doing until I started teaching in 2012 to 2020, freelance private tutoring.and then 2021 I started university.i did put it in the DS 260 but
Please, will this actually be a problem?
Any recommendations?
July 9, 2022 at 22:51
The question for public charge is not what you did before, it’s how you will do in the USA. But to make things safe, get an I-134.
July 1, 2022 at 15:10
When did you submit your DS 260?

Hi Simon.
I left high school in year 11, have a vocational Diploma which allowed my to go to university (it is considered equivalent to year 12 in Australia) I am halfway through my Bachelors. Is there any chance at all my DV visa will be approved?
Thanks
July 9, 2022 at 22:46
It depends on the requirement for your country, so I cannot be confident in an answer.
July 1, 2022 at 12:52
Hi dear Simon,
I want to work with lawyers specialized in AOS for students on F1 visa to facilitate this process for me. Could you kindly recommend your top 3 that actually know how to take advantage of early filing? My case number is in 12000’s (2023), so I may have only a few months to get this over with.
Yours,
Reza.

Hi Brit,
1. I have travelled UAE for 1 month for vacation. Should I have to mention about this as a travel history in the section “Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years?”
2. I am 2021 DV and a GOH, I opened Ds260 in June and resubmitted within 4-5 days but my Ds260 got processed in time and was also DQed in April. I opened DS260 for minor spelling mistakes of my school. Will it cause delay in future?
July 9, 2022 at 23:26
1. Yes
2. No

Hello Dear,
Following you on YouTube since long from Afghanistan.
Case Number is 2023AS18xxx
2 Quick question:
1- My wife is the DV 2023 winner, Do i also need to prove my education and experience and present certificates at the time of interview?
2- The state dep website on Police Certificate for Afghanistan says “Police Records:
Partially available for very limited periods. Not required for the U.S. visa process due to their unreliability”. Do i still need to prepare one as i was told that depending on the case handler some may still ask for it (maybe wrong advise)
Many thanks in advance!
July 9, 2022 at 23:28
1. No
2. Not required means you don’t need it.
July 2, 2022 at 05:29
