Hi Brit, thanks for your clear explanation and hard work! Much apprieciated! One I applied I was with my Maiden surname (before marriage passport) and now I see my surname (at marriage certificate has changed, yet my passport has not been changed) I applied to ds form with my previous name and passport, should I change my passport before the interview and take it with myself? Any clue what should I do? Thanks in advance!
July 29, 2022 at 12:17
If the name has changed, the passport should normally be updated.

Hi Simon,
My case number is 2023EU19***, this query is regarding PCC as a part of supporting document.
I am a Srilankan passport holder living here in India for past 30 yrs, Last visited Srilanka is on 2017(10 days).
And My husband is a Primary application as he is an Indian National whereas the changeability is with my country of birth, i.e Germany. (West Germany , Mulheim Ruhr A.D).
Foreign State Chargeability: GERMANY
So I am in process of preparing my PCC document for mu upcoming interview
1. Do I need to follow the norms given in Reciprocity Schedule of India (as I stay here so long)?
I have not considered Srilanka Norms as i dnt stay there long and when ever I went may be thrice since I born the stay was only less than 15 days. So please confirm is that ok for me to get the PCC from India alone?
A line from the Reciprocity Schedule of India under Issuing Authority. FYI I am registered here with FRRO
holding an OCI with me.
Non-Indian applicants residing in India who are registered with the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) – The FRRO serving their area of residence.
2. What is the Visa Classifications does DV lottery winner fall under ?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Sharmi

1. I cannot make up your mind for you. I don’t know your personal situation or travel history. You must read the instructions and follow them.
2. Not sure what you mean – its an immigrant visa.

Hi Simon!
Im a dv2022 winner scheduled for interview in August.
1) I have my high-school original transcript that clearly states that I completed high-school. I also have transcript from my 3 year attendance to a college (not completed). All of them attested and authenticated by Qatar foreign affairs in my home country. Would that be enough to cover the education requirements?
2) I have 5+ years of experience as an IT solutions company in a highly reputed conglomerate group in Qatar. I have that work experience letter too. Do I need to present it on top of education documents, or one is enough?
3) In the reciprocity page it states that PC is not required from Eritrea, so I’m only taking Qatar’s PC since I’ve only stayed in those 2 countries for more than 6 months. In the PC I have my name spelled wrong with only one letter. Would that be a problem?
On another note Brit, the Gmail notifications from your website point to a secured version of your website which is not properly configured. I always have to replace https to http for it to work. Just wanted to point it out incase you didn’t know. I can help you install the certificate if needed, you deserve every support one can give!
Thanks alot
July 30, 2022 at 08:38
1. I don’t know the requirements in your country and therefore cannot answer this question.
2. Go well prepared to the interview.
3. Probably not.
Thanks for the note about the website. I know I have some issues to fix, but I just have little time to fix things like that. At some point I really need to engage someone to fix the issues.

Dear Simon,
I hope you are having a great holiday
I want to ask my supporter should be filling the i-134
And what tax form? The w2 or the 1040??
Thank you very much.
July 30, 2022 at 08:46
Both. Plus recent payslips and photo ID.
July 29, 2022 at 20:02
Hello Sir,
I hope you are doing great!
My name is Murtaza from Afghanistan.
I had my interview on 29 of April at US Mumbai.
Unfortunately, I failed to provide pcc from India because it was under processed at that time and I showed to the consular at the time of interview.
Therefore, my case was refused under section of 221(g). And then consular told me that everything is fine just get your police clearance and submit it to one of the 11 documents drop off along with your passport. And I did so.
After a month, I received my police clearance and submitted. My case started to get updated. And then after a month I emailed them about my case and they said it has been sent to administration. After few days of it, I received questions to answer and a cv to send them in email. And I answered them to the best of my knowledge.
I was 14 or 15 years old when I went to Iran with my father.
The problem is that in my ds-260 I did not include that I have been to Iran in last five years. Because of the fact, that I lost my previous passport and didn’t know the exact date in which I have been there.
However, in the question when they asked me to about the countries I have traveled in the last 15 years I included Iran.
So what do you think Sir?
Can this cause me rejection?
Do I stand a chance to get a visa?
I have been extremely worried and tired.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Thank you!
July 30, 2022 at 08:49
I’m sorry – I can’t give you a definitive answer. Only the CO can decide the outcome.
July 30, 2022 at 17:56
Hello dear Sir,
My question is this, is US embassy Bangladesh accept the DV Case or not ? I want change my interview location to US embassy Bangladesh. I am DV Lottery selectee 2022.
August 2, 2022 at 12:26
They could process DV cases, but I don’t know their current status
July 30, 2022 at 03:32
Hi Brit!
I am a DV2022 winner case no( 107**)from Nepal currently residing at Doha, Qatar. My interview location is in Doha. I received a second letter on 20th of July but the case status shows in transit. I am scheduled for interview in 13th of September. Will there be enough visa available by then? To schedule my medical appointment should my case status be ready? What do I do?
July 30, 2022 at 08:56
If you are scheduled a visa is assigned. You must book your medical asap – don’t wait for CEAC.
August 2, 2022 at 10:03
Thank you Brit!
The case status now shows ready and I have also booked medical appointment. Does this mean my interview is now guaranteed unless any unfortunate circumstances?
August 2, 2022 at 13:01
Yes
July 30, 2022 at 04:24
Good afternoon Brit! Does the illegal presence of a child from a previous marriage in the United States, with whom I do not communicate in any way, affect the interview on DV-2023. I am the husband of the main applicant. The child was indicated in the DS-260 form, he does not immigrate with us and will not immigrate later.
July 30, 2022 at 08:58
Artur the fact that the child is in the USA illegally does not affect your case, but much more important is whether your spouse included that child on the initial DV entry or not. If not, then disqualification of the case (all of you) is certain.
July 30, 2022 at 08:59
I should add, I am assuming the child is under 21 and single (and therefore was eligible as a derivative).
July 31, 2022 at 15:36
Thanks Brit. He was not included in the application because he is over 21 years old. He was 22 at the time of the initial application. Both the main applicant and mine were included in the DC-260. Although this child is not mine, it was born in a marriage in the process of divorce.
August 2, 2022 at 12:39
OK that’s good.
July 30, 2022 at 11:28
Hi Brett Simon
When the kcc directed me for an identification interview to reopen the Ds260 and noticed a difference in my calendar month between the original registration for the lottery and my passport where my friend made a mistake in that
Does this cause a problem or is it just a typo and will they open my form again?
August 2, 2022 at 12:19
You should unlock your DS260 and correct it.
August 4, 2022 at 19:20
Brits am worried about my case
July 30, 2022 at 15:18
Hi Brit,
Thank you for your reply
And let Me rephrase my question please.
PCC is needed from a country where we stayed more than 6 months?
And Here India I have applied for pcc as I stay here since 1990 and they came up with the question on my application
“For which period u need ur PCC To be provided”?
What does this period represents?
Thanks for your support
Sharmi
August 2, 2022 at 12:20
You must read the instructions to determine which police certs you may need.
July 30, 2022 at 15:42
Hi Brit. Hope your vacation where good.
I know this will sound like a tossed bottle in the ocean….
My wife and I are low case number from the AS DV 2022, attached to ABD Embassy.
Still no news … we are pro active, contacting KCC + Embassies multiple time, calling, trying every possibility, spending hours reading forum forum forum forum, (my wife even tried to change Embassy for the one from her native country, she has family there and we could easily stay there for 1 week or 2 the time of printing), they answer negatively saying that she couldn’t stay the time of printing… we gave plenty of money also to some lawyer trying to find a solution.
I’m an airplane Pilot (FAA trained and fully qualified by the way) I left my previous job in January because according to the visa bulletin, we were suppose to go, and since I was employed in a country that had covid restriction for coming into ABD, we didn’t want to take the risk being stuck an miss out.
Well, we are getting desperate.
Would you have any advice? is there hope left?
Sorry we don’t want to sound pessimistic, we are positive persons, and will keep looking for a solution, but we are just out of ideas….
Best regards
August 2, 2022 at 12:24
Unfortunately I can’t guess what the outcome will be, and we must be in the final days of scheduling, given that DV2023 scheduling will start soon. I don’t have a magic solution other than what you have already tried.
July 30, 2022 at 19:55
Hi Brit,
DV 2022, Interview appointment in August. we are a family of 6, in the original entry, We entered the correct information of each family member except our old daugher. We only made a mistake in our old daughter’s vorname We wrote Elizabeth (my wife’s vorename) instead of Lisa. Is it a reason for denial? If not how should we proceed the day of interview. Please note that we corrected the mistake in the ds260.
August 2, 2022 at 12:28
Technically, that could cause disqualification, but that outcome is unlikely.
August 2, 2022 at 12:38
Thank you Sir. Your answer reassure me. Could I flag this mistake to the CO the day of the interview or not? If yes please advise what should I exactly tell him. Please be informed that all the information corresponding to our old daughter is correct including last name, date and place of birth, her foto. The only mistake is her first namr, we wrote her mother’s first name instead of hers. Thanks again Sir!
August 2, 2022 at 13:03
If the CO asks, you can explain it was a simple mistake. Don’t raise the issue unless asked.
August 2, 2022 at 13:46
Thanks a lot Sir.
July 30, 2022 at 20:59
Hi i am main applicant, i submit my case in may with my wife, now we are planing divorce but in my country it takes at least 4 or 5 months
1 after divorcing certificate i need to unlock my case?
2 Will it be affect interview time?
3 Also what is your opinion can i get interview only me although i added her?
4 Is that real America need maried immigrants?
August 2, 2022 at 12:29
1. Yes you should update the marital status once divorced.
2. No
3. Yes
4. Married or single – there is no preference.
July 31, 2022 at 00:39
Hi Simon.
My CN is 2022AS17XX .I am originally from Iran and live in Montreal ,Canada .My DS-260 has not been processed by KCC.I need your advice. Do you think participating in an individual mandamus lawsuit will give a me a chance to get an interview ?
Thanks
August 2, 2022 at 12:34
A mandamus lawsuit can’t hurt your chances, but at this point you are at extreme risk of not being scheduled because you are not processed yet AND even if you get an interview your Iranian nationality increases the chances of AP, AND you are likely to get a ds5535 request – also another cause for AP (common for Iranians and common in Montreal).
So – your chance is probably almost zero, your chance with a mandamus lawsuit is still extremely low. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
July 31, 2022 at 02:09
Hi britsimonsays
Hope you are doing well,
Just want to ask about DV 2020 who got refused because presidential Proclamation.
I am from Yemen and I got refused on January 2020. Can I get my visa in coming days or months?
Waiting for your kind response
Best regards
August 2, 2022 at 12:35
There are some possibilities, but nothing certain.
July 31, 2022 at 13:01
I have looked online at my DS260 processing and status says completed. It says my interview won’t be scheduled until supporting documents are submitted.
my confirmation however says I don’t need to send through any supporting documents.
I have a low case number (likely Oct interview) and just want to confirm I can now wait to be contacted?
August 2, 2022 at 12:38
KCC have not contacted anyone to ask for documents at this point (without the selectee asking). So I believe at this stage they will start scheduling without documents. However, that could change – let’s see what happens in your case.
July 31, 2022 at 13:32
Hello sir
I had win for the dv 2023 and my case number is 2023AF000028×××× my problem I can’t submit my DS 260 the reason is kcc case number!, my question is there is another number beside my case number and what is kcc case number
Thanks sir for helping people all around the world
Best Regards
August 2, 2022 at 12:39
Remove the leading zeros from your case number.
July 31, 2022 at 17:21
Hello Britt,
we’ve asked KCC about our interview. They said that our appointment has been scheduled at xx.xx. We’ll receive a notification letter by email within the next 7-10 days. We didn’t received a letter, but logged into ESC and found a letter with the appointment.
So we’d like to verify the appointment, but don’t know how. We asked NVC but they said, that’s the only letter we receive.
We’re unsure if the appointment is fix also because there is no barcode on the letter.
Many thanks
Oliwia and Stephan
August 2, 2022 at 12:40
If ESC is showing the appointment letter, you are scheduled.
July 31, 2022 at 19:12
Hello Brit,
Is it okay if my brother, a medical resident in new york (egyptian on a h1b visa), fills out the i 134 for me? Thank you!
August 2, 2022 at 12:41
It is better to use a perm resident.
August 1, 2022 at 06:36
Hey Brit! OC13## 2022!
Success! I had my interview in Suva in early July, approved! Just picked up my passport from my post office today. Visa stamped in, along with all my docs! Moving to NYC in September!
Thankyou so much for all your help over the past couple of years, I couldn’t have done it without you!
August 2, 2022 at 12:41
Awesome – congrats and best of luck!
August 3, 2022 at 01:09
Hey buddy, when was your interview exactly and when did they send your passports back? I been waiting for more than a month now for ky passport to arrive.
August 1, 2022 at 08:10
Hi Simon,
I- 2022EU24299- have received my 2NL last week (Frankfurt embassy)
I recently got married to a US citizen and made a mistake when I corrected my DS260 after the marriage: I replyed “yes” to the question whether my spouse would immigrate with me.
Now the notification letter lists both of our names and shows him as Benefiiary (I haven’t filled in a DS-260 for him though).
a) Do I need to contact the embassy now to correct this or can I just show up without him and correct it there?
b) Do I risk any problems if I don’t correct it beforehand or even if I do try to correct ist before the interview?
Thank you in advance!
Liz
August 2, 2022 at 12:42
a. I would email the embassy out of courtesy.
b. No
August 1, 2022 at 09:29
Hello Brit, hope you doing well.
I’ve read your blog about I-134 and still couldn’t find out some of answers to my questions,
1: from where we should know that the residents of which country need to fill I-134 and which countries don’t? ( any website? Or blog? )
2: I’m from Afghanistan and I’ve chosen my interview location as Islamabad, Pakistan. Do you have any idea if I need to fill I-134 or not?
August 2, 2022 at 12:43
1. It is up to the CO, so everyone should prepare, but only some will be asked for it.
2. See 1
August 1, 2022 at 14:44
Hi Brit,
Thanks in advance. My wife is a principal applicant. We have already submit our DS-260 forms. in my wife’s and my daughter’s form we wrote Postal code of current address but by mistake I forget to write postal code in my DS form. is it a big mistake? should I send the request to unlock the form?
Thanks,
Jalil
August 2, 2022 at 12:45
No
August 1, 2022 at 16:45
Hi Brit ! My husband is a winner of DV2023.
We submit our DS-260 on June 28th, 2022.
When are we supposed to be contacted by KCC to send the document ? Thanks 🙂
August 2, 2022 at 12:46
So far it looks like no document step in DV2023 – we will know in about 2 weeks when they start scheduling 2023 cases.
August 1, 2022 at 20:21
Hi Brit,
Thank you for your support. I have some questions.
1. I have been in Dubai for 6 1/2 months, searching for jobs. I lived in a rented room, which that house was belong to another person. I do not know whether that person is still living or not in that house.
Do I have to get a Police clearance Certificate from Dubai? Is it ok to mention the address of that house to get the certificate?
Thank you
August 1, 2022 at 21:01
To get the Dubai police clearance, you have to do it online with the official application “ Dubai Police”
August 2, 2022 at 12:47
You need to read the rules and reciprocity page to determine what PCs you need.
August 2, 2022 at 05:42
Hi sir. Good morning. Have received my 2nl with my derivatives. I’m a single mum of two. Actually filled the children ds260. But right now, I will like them to join me in later dates. What should I do. September interview. Case number 2022Af61k
August 2, 2022 at 12:59
You can proceed without them if you mean they will come after the 6 month validity period. You can email the embassy, or just inform the CO at the interview of your decision. Just be aware, the process to bring them later is complex, slow and costly as compared to the DV process.
August 2, 2022 at 07:06
hello Simon, my father wants to be my sponsor, he has the necessary resources.
does he just have to put the money in my account or does he have to provide me with a document for that ? Thanks.
August 2, 2022 at 13:00
It might be wise to have a letter from him explaining the cash deposit is a gift.
August 2, 2022 at 09:25
Hi sir,
What is IV APPLICATION in ds260 form?
I couldn’t find about it in your youtube channel,
August 2, 2022 at 13:00
Immigrant Visa
August 2, 2022 at 09:58
Dear Simon,
I hope you are well and thank you for all your help.
I am selected in 2023. I am Iranian, we are a family of three and I live in Turkey.
1- I could not open a dollar account in Turkish banks for financial security due to Iran sanctions, but I have a euro account and I have deposited 35,000 euros in my account. Isn’t there any obstacle to give a euro bank account for financial support?
2- For me, this amount is possible up to 130k by selling my property. Does increasing this amount increase my chances of getting a visa?
August 2, 2022 at 13:01
1. No problem.
2. No
August 2, 2022 at 12:57
Hello brit
Im the winner of dv2023. I submitted my ds260 application.
When i submitting my ds260 application i entered wrong email address of my spouse.
My one is okay.

August 2, 2022 at 13:02
No problem.
August 2, 2022 at 15:07
Hello Brit, I’m a DV 2023 winner with cn AF43xxx. The Kenyan Embassy has recently made big changes. It has put a pause to issuing Visitor visas till June 2024.
1. Does that mean, they will prioritize DV?
They have also appointed a new ambassador. If they are not going to be issuing visitor visas for 18 months, it means they’re focusing on something else, right. They have to be issuing visas because the Nairobi Embassy is the largest Embassy in Eastern Africa.
2. What do u think about that moving forward for DV2023.
August 5, 2022 at 14:52
We will have to wait and see.
August 2, 2022 at 15:08
Hey Brits, 2023 winner from nepal CN17.5k. I made a silly error in DS-form. My father’s name is “Nabaraj” in passport and I wrote “Nawaraj” in DS form. Should I unlock and rectify it or maybe explain in interview or make a government paper saying both are same guy. Please let me know.
August 5, 2022 at 14:52
Unlock and correct it – you have a long time to wait anyway, so why not get the form correct.
August 2, 2022 at 16:19
Hi Brit.
Thanks for all your help. I hope you enjoyed your holiday in Spain.
My wife is a DV23 winner AF9xxx (South Africa).
I have 2 questions.
Q1. (Proof of name change)
My wife was married before and changed her surname in that marriage (Court divorce papers have the surname of the previous marriage and not maiden). After her divorce, she changed her name back to her maiden name. This was done over the counter with no paperwork at the governmental office.
We have in the meantime gotten married and she kept her maiden name (Marriage certificate has her maiden name).
All her paperwork is in her maiden name (passport/PCC/qualifications/…) except for her divorce papers from her previous marriage.
Would she require proof of name change from her previous marriage? And if yes, do you know what would suffice as proof? We have requested proof of name change at the government office and they said that they don’t provide any proof for name changes.
Q2. (Proof of funds/i134)
Is the i-134 a requirement to get approved at the DV interview?
My wife and I can prove about USD $60k in liquid assets (Bank accounts and shares) and was wondering if that would be enough? Or would we still be required to fill out the i-134 for someone to sponsor us?
Thanks again for all the awesome work you are doing.
August 5, 2022 at 14:55
1. I don’t have good enough knowledge of processes in your country to comment on whether you need anything else. Use your own judgement.
2. The savings you have would normally be considered sufficient.
August 2, 2022 at 17:45
Dear Sir This Berhe Nina Zewdie from Ethiopia my case no is 2022AF26757 still we are not scheduled for DV visa interview .But i see the case number in Europe region ATA Almaty ,Kazakistan 2022EU26757 on ready list. Is there any chance to dubel the same case number from different region?
August 5, 2022 at 14:56
Each region has its own case number ranges, meaning there are some coincidental matches between regions. That does not mean anything at all ton your case.
August 2, 2022 at 19:30
Regards, Brett Simon
What is the best solution to the problem that appears to me, which is that the case number is not currently available?
Thank you, I almost lost hope
August 5, 2022 at 14:57
Go look at my youtube channel where I have a video about how to access the ds260
August 2, 2022 at 20:01
Hello BritSimon, thanks for the great service you giving us.
Please I have 2 questions and need your assistance,
1. I stayed in London for more than 6months before but couldn’t obtain pcc because it’s over 17yrs ago. Apparently they can only issue pcc if you lived there within the past 5 years. Can this affect my chances
2. Can a Veteran (former US Army) be my sponsor? His earnings are over the poverty guidelines.
Thank you
August 5, 2022 at 15:04
1. I have never heard the 5 year thing – are you sure you are following instructions correctly and applying through Acro?
2. Yes
August 2, 2022 at 21:01
Hi Sir,thanks for your directives, got my 2nl already but while trying to confirm the appointment in the Embassy, there is this response that come in that the case is not yet ready for interview, what should I do in this case?thanks 2022af50***
August 5, 2022 at 15:05
You do not need to setup another interview, you are simply expected to setup an account with the courier service. So – look for other options which do not involve getting another interview.
August 2, 2022 at 21:58
Hi Simon! Hope you are well
I just wanted to know if you have any insight on the capability of the London, UK embassy with DV cases? Are they usually good or bad? My case is around AF37K (Ghana) so I know i’ll have a little while to go but as UK isn’t an eligible country I haven’t heard much about the embassy.
Also do you think a University certificate is an acceptable form of of proof of high school education?
Many thanks!
August 5, 2022 at 15:08
London is fine. They do a lot of cases.
The University certificate has nothing to do with your HS education. Get proof of BOTH.
August 2, 2022 at 22:22
Hi. Thank you for your wonderful DS260 sessions (over YouTube). I am a winner of DV 2023. My case number is AS54XX (from Asia). I have submitted my DS260 application already.
(1) Do you know around when my interview will be held?
(2) My interview will be at the US consulate in Montreal, Canada. Do you know if my interview location’s processsing times are reasonable and there is no backlog (in general) — i.e., in Montreal?
(3) I learnt that once I enter the US, my green card will be posted to my host’s address and it will take up to 3 months to receive the green card. Does that mean, I cannot go to Canada (for short visits) during that period?
(4) Is it a must that the green card is posted to the host’s address? — i.e., if I move to a different address in the US, and not reside at my host’s address, can I ask the US immigration to post the green card to the address that I will be living in the US (note that I will only know where I would be living when I have moved to the US — i.e., renting or buying a house needs physical presence in the US to be present at the house showings).
Please let me know.
Thanks
Naya

2. I don’t know what it will be like in early 2023.
3. You can. Your DV visa will have been endorsed and that will be what you show until you get the GC
4. They are not good at updating where the GC is sent. So it will be sent to the address on your DS260 at the time of the entry at the POE.

Hello Mr Simon.
I am a DV2023 winner. I am from Ghana but i applied for the lottery in Hungary where i have been living for the past year as a student.
I already submitted my DS260 in May of 2022 and i choose Budapest, Hungary as my choice of interview location.
I have the following questions.
1. Is AF22**** a high case number for someone interviewig in Hungary?
2. Do i have to wait until i get an appointment date before i fill in an I-134?
3. Can i apply for a Police Report/Certificate whilst i wait or wait until it is requested.
Thank you.

1. It’s not a high number, but it is based on the region, not the current country.
2. Yes – and the sponsor completes the form.
3. You can apply now if you want. They are accepted up to 2 years old.

Thank you Mr Simon for your response.
Since it is not a high case number and per your experience and estimation, when do you think i will be scheduled for an interview?
August 6, 2022 at 17:21
Too early to be predicting – but certainly not in the remainder of 2022.

Hi Brit
My sponsor’s income is only above 75 dollers from the required limit of poverty guide for family size of 7. Will that be an issue or can i go ahead with his tax returns?
Thanks

Get another sponsor.

Hi there mr simons , you have no idea how much you have helped us , me and my husband ( newly wed ) we asked you about when to get married and you told us to do it as soon as we can , and thank god we did in april then he submitted his ds 260 form and we have our interview scheduled on the 23 th of august , I scheduled a medical exam for me and my husband but I just noticed on my interview page I have no beneficiaries listed
this is exactly what they sent me :
Dear DV Applicant,
This is the official notice for you to pursue your application for a DV-2022 visa. An appointment has been scheduled for you at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate stated below. You and all members of your family who wish to apply for a Diversity Visa must appear at the appointed date and time for your interview. Please notify the office listed if you cannot keep the appointment.
You and any eligible family members will be required to submit sufficient proof of identity upon arrival. If you fail to obtain a DV-2022 visa by September 30, 2022, your registration will expire. Your family members must also obtain their visas prior to September 30, 2022, or they will not be permitted to join you in the United States under the DV-2022 program.
Case Number: 2022AF00029***
Applicant Name: ************
Beneficiaries: None ,
does this mean that my husband is not a beneficiarie ? does it mean that his ds260 was not processed ?
and please can you tell me what should we do exactly to prepare for the interview ?

I also need an answer to this please mr simmons

The letters tend not to include additional family members added. But you can email the embassy to confirm your spouse is coming and make sure that both DS260s say “completed”

Sir I got rejected due to my work experience but councilor issued me 221g form. Interviewer too said if any changes on their work experience zone they will mail me

Hello Sir,
I hope you are doing great!
According to your experience, do you think they work on cases faster that are sent to AP the closer we get to the end of September?
August 5, 2022 at 15:15
Yes

Hi Simon, I have found out in some websites saying that there are two times of photo verification in dv lottery. The first one is on registration entry. If our photo uploaded accepted at the first time of entry, there is still the second time of photo verification done before random selection process of winners. I’m wondering if it is true or not. What is your thought? Thanks
August 5, 2022 at 15:16
Yes
August 3, 2022 at 12:28
Hello Brit, hope you doing well.
One of my friend who is winner of DV22 and being scheduled for interview in September.
He made the first entry as single mistakenly ( someone else filled his entry form ) and after getting selected he stated his marital status to married and added his spouse and 2 children. And on the same time when being asked in DS260 about wether he’d like to go along with his family he said no ( he wanted his spouse and children to join him after going to USA ).
1 : do you think he will be disqualified because his DS marital status differs from what he stated in the initial entry?
2: if not and you suggest him to go to interview shall he take his spouse and children with himself along to the interview? ( he stated In DS that he don’t want to take his family with himself immediately )
Interview is in Neighbour country and he is confused to wether is it worth attending the interview or not.
August 4, 2022 at 18:37
No need to continue disqualification is certain 100%
August 5, 2022 at 15:17
1. 100% certain to be disqualified, and there is no possible way to fix it. He should not waste any money or time attending the interview.

Hi Simon,
I hope you are doing well. DV2021 here – Goh. If we have a successful outcome, how can I change from Embassy A (where i currently live and initially assigned) to Embassy B (my birth country)? Thanks
August 5, 2022 at 15:18
You will do that if you are notified that you are scheduled.
August 3, 2022 at 16:39
Hi Brit! I Hope you are doing great
My wife is Dv2023 with low case number EU29** winner when she is filing ds260 form there is one question
1. is Your spouse immigrating with you to the USA? When you click no there is second question is coming out saying that
2. Is Your spouse immigrating to the USA . at a later date to join you?
so when we say for second question yes.
And than she goes for interview with our kids without me is that any risk for her and kids to get approved?
She is main applicant
Because I want to join her later date
Thank you
August 5, 2022 at 15:19
No risk. as long as the CO believes she can survive and not become a public charge.
August 3, 2022 at 18:36
Hi Brit
I am a 2023 DV lottery winner. Case number AS24xxx. I have a complication in my name.
My legal name (as it appears in my passport, birth certificate and other documents) goes in the order of FAMILY NAME, FIRST NAME, SECOND NAME.
When sending out the application for the green card I have entered my SECOND name as my SURNAME. Now when filling in the DS 260, should I follow the same format as the original application and put my SECOND name as my SURNAME and submit an affidavit to the local embassy at the interview,
OR should I put the name in the correct format as it appears on the passport when filling the DS260 ?(in which case the order of names and thereby the surname will be different to my original application)
Please advice
Thank you
August 5, 2022 at 15:20
Your DS260 should have the correct legal name, in the correct order.

Hello sir
I’ve watched your Q&A videos and questions about the dv2021
you said that we have to wait until September but we have to be a plaintiff in the lawsuit or that’s how I heard it
So if that’s true my question is
1- who are the plaintiffs in that lawsuit?
2- I’m a dv2021 winner 2021AS21xxx and KCC sent the submit supporting documents letter and I submitted my documents back then so does that make me a plaintiff?
Sorry if the question is silly I even scrolled through the questions here but I didn’t find any answers to my question
August 5, 2022 at 15:21
1. People that paid the lawyers to be a plaintiff
2. No
