Hi Simon, If a DV winner has been refused on B2 visa , will it affect the DV visa approval?
February 11, 2024 at 22:28
Not normally
February 11, 2024 at 11:16
Hellow sir, what’s your prediction for 13k Asia does any hope to current and interview ? Thanks
February 11, 2024 at 11:44
I have several prediction videos – once for each region. Have you watched that?
February 11, 2024 at 10:00
Hi simon i hope you doing well !
My case number is 51,9k in africa specifically in morocco and i wana know if am i safe or just forget about it? according to last year is really frustrating because they stop into 47.7k in CSB
I do some analysis and i observe that there’s a lot of wholes before me compared to last year approximately 26k in dv23 but in dv24 is 19k
According to this it might be safe but something in my head tells me that it’s gonna be the same scenario of dv23
Thanks simon for your very precious time you give us and your very helpful information provided by you
February 11, 2024 at 10:34
Your number is probably fine – its a good number at a good embassy, but you will have to wait and see.
February 11, 2024 at 06:11
Hi Brit,
my case number becomes current in April according to the new visa bulletin. My interview should be scheduled in Frankfurt, Germany. When can I expect the interview to be scheduled? Is April likely or later? CEAC says that my case is still at NVC at the moment. Thank you for your help!
February 11, 2024 at 08:02
It depends on whether your DS260 is processed, but if it is, then you would expect your 2NL in the next 2 to 3 weeks with an interview date in April.
February 10, 2024 at 21:26
hello MR Simons
thank you for what you do for all the winners of the American lottery
By the way, my question is that if we enter via land borders via Mexico and are selected for the DV lottery, can we adjust our status and have the green card?
February 11, 2024 at 07:55
As long as you enter via the port of entry, are inspected and admitted legally, and are constantly in status.
February 10, 2024 at 16:53
Hi Simon hope you are doing well. Now there’s is something I really don’t understand and I will like you to help me understand better. The higher the case numbers, the increase in holes which means the visa bulletin will move faster because there’s going to be big gap from one case number to another. Now we still have 5months left, why don’t you think the visa bulletin may reach Maybe 73k in Africa since there will be more holes and lesser cases? Don’t you think embassies performing well may interview some high case numbers like up to 73k? Thank you
February 10, 2024 at 18:35
I have explained my thoughts in a video. Please watch that.
February 10, 2024 at 13:40
Myanmar, Rangoon embassy is also backlogged because there is only one consular at the embassy and not every cases that are current in December are not interview yet. Is it better to change embassy of other countries.
Do I need residence visa of the country to interview.
February 10, 2024 at 18:39
You know as much as I do… so you can decide.
Yes you would normally move to a different country to get allocated to the embassy in that country.
February 10, 2024 at 12:54
Hi Simon, do you think EU30400 is going current in June, July (so we can see it in visa bulletin of May, June) or going current in August, September (so we can see it in visa bulletin of June, July)???
February 10, 2024 at 18:40
I don’t know for sure – let’s wait and see.
February 11, 2024 at 01:58
Okay:) but when you say ‘go current (for example) January’, do you mean we see it in January and you actually mean March, or do you mean January for real –> Visa bulletin of November?
February 11, 2024 at 07:59
Depends on the context of the comment – and I am typically careful to be clear. So I would say something like go current next month, for May interviews…
February 10, 2024 at 23:30
I would say we should wait till July
February 10, 2024 at 10:56
Hello Brit,I missed dv2025 entry period.when is dv 2026 entry period?
February 10, 2024 at 16:54
October
February 10, 2024 at 08:23
Hello Brit… I hope all is well with you..
I am a DV24 & I got a little concern… When filling my DS260, I did input my passport Number along side(date of issuance & expiration) in the section for personal info.. unfortunately, I lost my passport and made another but the new one Carries a different number… Do you advice I request KCC to unblock my DS260 so I update the new passport information… I await your response
February 10, 2024 at 08:54
No just show the new one at the interview.
February 12, 2024 at 07:19
Thank you
February 10, 2024 at 08:04
Hi Simon, I remember that my picture i sent for DV2025 i was wearing a white shirt and tie, the background was white but you could clearly distinguish myself and the background as my shirt didn’t blend in, this shouldn’t be a problem?
February 10, 2024 at 08:54
How can I answer this based on your description alone?
February 10, 2024 at 09:02
Well, i wasn’t a floating head and my white shirt wasn’t as white as the background
February 10, 2024 at 09:14
OK. That doesn’t help me answer you. But good luck.
February 10, 2024 at 06:52
Hi simon
Does having an American child on a tourist visa affect the results for the interview of DV 24 , all the bills were payed and I have zero bills
February 10, 2024 at 08:53
Not normally, although yes a CO is entitled to ask for proof that you did not burden the tax payer.
February 10, 2024 at 09:49
I will take them with me no problem but just asking if it’s a cause for denial for a DV visa
February 10, 2024 at 10:31
It can be.
February 10, 2024 at 05:21
Hello Mr. Simon,
I wanted to ask you a question about whether I would age out or not. My dad won the 2024 DV lottery and I was attached to his application.
My birthday is Sep 9 2023. So I was only 20 years and 8 months old when the results came out.
Our case number is AS107**. So it hasn’t gone current yet as of Feb 10.
But will I still be eligible for a derivative visa when our number became current later this year?
According to the CSPA, I only get to become 21 years and 7 months old before I age out.
I’d be 21 and 7 months on April 2024 and we are definitely not going to be current on April according to the latest bulletin(7200 cutoff for asia) that just came out.
So I was wondering if I still have any chance to receive a visa as a derivative?
February 10, 2024 at 08:52
No your chance has gone because you won’t be current when you age out.
February 10, 2024 at 02:19
Hello Brit Simons, very small progress in EU recent visa bulletin. Do you think number EU25*** safe enough? When could this number get current? (thought it could happen in late spring but now worried it can happen at all)
February 10, 2024 at 08:47
I created a video for EU and each region. Go watch that.
February 9, 2024 at 23:29
Hi Simon, i want to ask you something, i approve my documents high-school and other with stamps , but i didn’t approve my bachelor tempo degree document without the approval stamp it has the problem in interview?
February 10, 2024 at 08:45
I don’t know the procedures in your country.
February 9, 2024 at 22:00
Also if i travel to different countries after my DS-260 has been processed, do I have to unlock and add it? Or can i let the consular know at the interview?
February 10, 2024 at 08:44
You generally do not have to unlock for additional travel.
February 9, 2024 at 21:18
Hi sir,
Very poor progress on Asia Visa Bulletin. Based on this recent visa bulletin, do you think Case#AS16××× is a risk for getting current?
February 9, 2024 at 23:10
Hi Birt
After releasing march Visa bulletin, do think that your predictions for Asia Final cutt of number is still valid:
https://youtu.be/NVj-MIaMoUU?si=gP6iv9BUzITie9vw
February 10, 2024 at 08:43
My video discusses the capacity and what case number it would take to get enough cases to fill the capacity.
The speed at which you pour water into a bucket does not change the capacity of the bucket.
February 10, 2024 at 08:53
Thanks a lot
indeed
February 10, 2024 at 09:02
Got my answer too. Thank you!!
February 9, 2024 at 23:32
Hi Brit,
Thanks for your time and effort.
After the release of March visa bulletin, please do not avoid to give it a time to speak about Asia Predictions. Give us a logical reason based on your experience why the progress is slow like a turtle, they only increased the CNs by 200. All other big regions, the increase by thousands. This time on last year and all previous years it was reaching at least 15K.
Thanks!
February 10, 2024 at 08:41
Watch my existing video on Asia.
February 9, 2024 at 20:55
Hi Brit,
I have a question about the Cross Chargeability rule in the DV Lottery.
I am from the United Kingdom (eligible country) & my wife is from India (not eligible) However she is playing in dv2025 using the cross chargeable rule.
IF she wins the lottery, then that would make me a derivative. If that is the case am I right in thinking it would be my wife who would need to meet the education or work experience requirements as she is the DV winner OR would I have to meet one of those requirements too?
Regards
Sid
February 10, 2024 at 08:40
If the CO does their job correctly you would BOTH be treated as principal selectees (i.e. having to meet the requirements)
February 10, 2024 at 19:42
Ok…
well I can confirm I do not have the education or work experience to meet the requirements & that would become a problem at the visa interview… My wife however has a university degree, so she should be able to meet the requirement.
Could my wife still be able to unlock her DS260 & continue with the visa without me? Or would that not be possible in a cross chargeable case?
Regards
February 11, 2024 at 07:54
No. Cross charging requires that you process together. I have seen some cases where COs did not apply the rule correctly (i.e. get education from both), but that would be a gamble of course.
February 9, 2024 at 20:00
Hi Simon,
What do you think of progress of Asia and in particular Nepal, in the most recent visa bulletin? Is CN8k a risk for Nepal?
February 10, 2024 at 08:38
It’s not surprising. Obviously your case number is safe.
February 9, 2024 at 17:50
Hello Brit Simon. I hope you’re good.
Question: for someone who is green card holder in usa, does he has a restriction about how many jobs should he work or which type of job contrat he should has? I am a freelancer that can potentially work with many customers.
February 10, 2024 at 08:34
No such restrictions.
February 9, 2024 at 16:08
Hi simon,
What’s going on with Asia visa bulletin, it’s very frustrating to see that on 6 months they just reach 7,200. Can you please explain to us why is that happening
February 10, 2024 at 08:33
I have been explaining – and I have made it clear that high case numbers are probably not going to become current. However, I will create a video this weekend to explain further.
February 9, 2024 at 09:15
Hi Simon, Thanks for your assistance.
I contacted KCC inquiring about my DS-260 form processing status, they replied “Thank you for your inquiry.
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member to the Kentucky Consular Center.”.
My question is, does this mean my DS-260 is already processed.
Thank you
Joe
February 10, 2024 at 08:32
Yes
February 9, 2024 at 08:35
Hi dear Simon
I have an interview on 6th March. Have a medical next Monday.
1. I just wanted to double check w you if its okay I present them on the interview that I am currently still have a winter seasonal job until end of March as I have not unlocked the DS260 for that. Is that okay?
2. I have a new passport, I just present that too together with the old one.
3. A person that is filling out the I-134 file for me, they need to fill out also the part that is regarding my biography and status? The first 3 pages, In their handwriting, that for me makes sense, as they are filling it out in my name.
Thanks for all the past and future help.
February 10, 2024 at 08:32
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes – I also have a video about completing the I-134
February 9, 2024 at 03:49
Hello Simon, I have one question as I am in great dilemma. I am 31 yrs male from Nepal having case no. 11K. I have already graduated. Now I am planning to marry but the girl I am marrying has not completed her study, it may take time. I want her to complete her study as only one year is left out of three years of her study. Now my concern is, can she go to the US after she finishes her study? Or should we go together?
February 10, 2024 at 08:31
First, you must marry as soon as possible. Then she should be included in your DV process (unlock the DS260, add a DS260 for her). During the interview she will attend and she will get a visa to enter the USA which is valid for 6 months. She should take an activation trip during that time, then return home to finish her studies.
February 9, 2024 at 03:31
Hi Mr. Simon.
Thanks very much for your kind gesture.
Please help me with this situation. I play the DV as single applicant without a child. Now, I have win and I want to marry my fiancée and add her to my case but she also has a step child (not her biological child). Can the child also be added? If yes, what will be process follow?
February 10, 2024 at 08:28
Yes the child will be treated just like any child. She will obviously have to show the marriage, divorce and birth certs that establish her claim to the child, and she may be asked for paperwork to show she has authority/permission to take the child to the USA, away from the biological father.
February 8, 2024 at 23:53
Hi Brit,
AF50K here (Egypt), depending on the previous published data for Egypt, if they stay on the same rate, when do you expect it becomes current for interview (if any).
Thanks
February 10, 2024 at 00:41
Hi Mr Simon
is there any possibility to make cut off in this visa bulletin number.. EU17500 , and my number is EU177**
February 10, 2024 at 08:46
This is a bloody silly question.
February 10, 2024 at 23:31
You just wait till the next month for a new visa bulletin, your number 99% will go current in May’s bulletin
February 10, 2024 at 08:28
I don’t have a prediction for that.
February 8, 2024 at 11:45
Hi Mr Brit i got this answer from kcc (Thank you for your inquiry.
Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member to the Kentucky Consular Center. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing.)what mean this answer that my ds260 is pressed or not yet ?
February 8, 2024 at 16:32
Yes, processed.
February 8, 2024 at 17:59
Thank you a lot ,thank you for giving us from your time, your family ,your job really a great man
February 8, 2024 at 10:19
Hi Simon,
Not completely DV related, but hope you might be able to help.
I’m a U.K. entry for the DV -2025
With a low chance of selection I was considering trying to get a EB-3 unskilled worker petition.
With the priority date for this category being September 2020 is it worth it, or should I leave it and await the DV results ?
*Note the company offering EB-3 jobs is charging 13 thousand dollars for this
February 8, 2024 at 11:06
I have no info about Eb3
February 7, 2024 at 14:14
Hi Simon,
Do you know anything about how the embassies/interviewers feel about people who do not currently have a “proper job”?
My husband and I both applied for 2025, both have good GCSEs and A Levels (As and Bs) so I believe we are eligible based on education.
I went on to get a Master’s degree, then maintained a good career in scientific research for around 7 years, until resigning a few months ago to stay at home with our daughter (and hopefully any future children).
My husband did not attend university, and is now a successful professional poker player. We have plenty of savings, including property with no mortgage worth £600k+.
On the small chance that we’re selected, would we be looked at unfavourably for the fact that neither of us currently work for an actual organisation? Is there a chance we could be denied a green card based on us not having “proper jobs”? We are both fully willing and able to get jobs if we moved to the States, including my husband as I believe online gambling is not legal in the US.
Thank you for your time.
February 8, 2024 at 06:33
No, that would not be a problem.
February 7, 2024 at 13:15
Hi Brit
According to the USCIS filing intstructions for the Re-entry Permit ” you should file Form I-130 no fewer than 60 days” what do they mean by that?
Am planning to go US for about one month and once arrive there, i will apply for rentry permit immedaitly, and after apply for biometric , i will leave the US, and will be waiting for the rentry permit to be mailed to me.
Please your kind advise ? if 60 days condtion make a conflict with my plan?
February 8, 2024 at 06:32
The point is the biometrics appointment may be longer than 1 month.
February 7, 2024 at 11:56
Hello Mr Brit, if I left a country where I have spent more than 6 months for more than 10 years, do I still have to provide the criminal record of this country?
February 8, 2024 at 06:31
Yes.
February 7, 2024 at 07:45
Hi Brit,
Thanks for the continuous support.
1- I am AF50K, Egypt. I’ve seen your video “Will Africa jump next Visa Bulletin”, and I noticed the file that had CRO embassy at like no. 10800. Does this mean that if they continue with the same level, they might just reach cases up to AF20-25/30K max. by the end of Sept.? Or I understood the file wrong?
2- You know it’s not easy to apply for a visa, get it and move (or apply for asylum to ask to move embassies), and that would take like 4-6 months alone.
3- If Africa reached 55K by by July for example, and Egypt is still at 30K, and then I went to another country by August, can I then change embassies and get an interview there, or how would that work?
Thanks.
February 7, 2024 at 09:32
I’m not really sure where you saw the 10800. Cairo has scheduled some AF cases up to 21k (which may or may not be Egypt).
Your question 3 is too much speculation.
February 7, 2024 at 04:16
Hi Simon,
Sorry to trouble you…
My sponsor’s family includes 4 members including him.
In my family I have 4 including me. So we have to consider 8 members in both families He is having 58,000/- USD income annually. Is that sufficient?
February 7, 2024 at 06:03
Yes
February 11, 2024 at 03:32
Hi Brit,
Thank you for your support
I’m writing to ask about
1- I have my case number which is AS17860 in Jordan do u think I should change the embassy or keep it
2 – what happens if I went for the interview with a passport which is valid only for 4 months
3- does it affect my process or acceptance if I renewed my passport and I provided the KCC when they ask me to send more documents with my old and new passport
Looking for your response
February 11, 2024 at 08:01
1. You should decide that for yourself.
2. That’s not a good idea.
3. You should renew – that’s fine, you can just show old and new passports at the interview. KCC will nott ask for documents.
February 7, 2024 at 04:01
Hello BritSimon,
I am writing to extend my deepest gratitude for your invaluable guidance and advice throughout my Diversity Visa (DV) journey. Your insights were instrumental in navigating the intricacies of the process, and I am immensely grateful for your support. I am thrilled to share the news that my interview took place in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, on the 5th of February 2024. Following a smooth interview experience, I am delighted to inform you that my visa was issued on the same day. The visa was delivered to me promptly on the 7th of February 2024, marking the realization of a lifelong aspiration. Interestingly, during the interview, I was not asked about the I-134 form or my bank statements, which I had prepared diligently thanks to your comprehensive advice. Nonetheless, your thorough guidance ensured that I was fully prepared for any eventuality. Once again, I cannot thank you enough for your unwavering support and expertise. Your dedication to assisting DV applicants like myself is truly commendable, and I am deeply appreciative of all your efforts.
February 7, 2024 at 06:02
Congratulations!!
February 6, 2024 at 16:49
Dear Simon,
I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to seek your guidance regarding an issue I’m facing with my middle name in relation to my DV lottery application.
In Mauritania, we follow a three-name format, and my middle name has posed a challenge for my father, who has been known by three variations of it: Bah, Beyouh, and Beyah. For decades, my siblings and I have consistently used Beyouh as our middle name, which is also the name I applied with and have on my diploma.
However, earlier this year, my father’s ID expired, and upon renewal, it was issued with Beyah as his name instead of Beyouh, automatically making it my middle name. While my father prefers not to change his name to align with ours, it has resulted in a discrepancy between our names.
I possess both my old and new ID cards, which reflect these changes. My father is recognized by all three variations of his first name, and he is reluctant to undergo another name change.
Could you please advise me on what steps to take and what documentation to bring to my interview to clarify this matter and avoid disqualification?
Thank you for your invaluable assistance in navigating this situation.
Warm regards,
February 6, 2024 at 17:55
If you are the selectee, this isn’t a problem. You show your ID, not that of your parents.
February 6, 2024 at 19:28
My new ID got the middle name that I didn’t use for the application and not on my diploma. Because of that I’m afraid if they ask for my excerpt support they will notice the difference.
I applied with this name Abderrahmane Beyouh N’theih and now it’s Abderrahmane Beyah N’theih on my new ID.
Let’s say I will show my old ID, the excerpt form will my father name Beyah.
In Dakar they ask for excerpt of the selected and those of his parents.
February 7, 2024 at 06:02
Use your own judgment based on procedures in your country.
February 6, 2024 at 11:42
Hi Simon,
I have a question about embassies comparision using xarthisius website.
I was trying to compare 2 embassies (Frankfurt vs Warsaw) and they have both scheduled interviews (ready state) up to 2024eu16xxx, so they both seem to work very good.
But I have noticed that Frankfurt has already issued some visas up to case number eu13xxx (issued state), but Warsaw has issued only visas up to case number eu10xxx.
Does it mean that Warsaw is potentially more risky for high case numbers? My understanding is that Frankfurt will be able to issue higher case numbers before visas run out in September.
February 6, 2024 at 17:57
No. You are overthinking.
February 6, 2024 at 05:54
Hello Brit, what’s your advise on my situation? I can’t apply through online to obtain my police clearance from Egypt as they need my fingerprint. They advised me on a phone call to go to the nearest embassy inorder for me to obtain. I was oustide Egypt and the country I used to live for now doesn’t have an Egyptian embassy. Also, I need to get a visa if i want to travel to the nearest embassy, and thats will be another big problem. So,What is your advise on that? I will continue to do a visa and travel to the nearest embassy or there is another way you know that can help or should I just explain it to the consular during my interview?
February 6, 2024 at 09:07
You need the police certificate, so keep trying to follow the instructions, but document your efforts to do so, just in case you need to show the CO that you have tried to meet the requirements.
February 6, 2024 at 05:10
hi simon, am from east african in uganda and my nearest embassy is kenya but my case is AF103xxx at NVC what advise do you have for me ,or i should unlock my ds260.what can i really do
February 6, 2024 at 08:25
You don’t mention why you think you need to unlock. But as your case number is so high you may never get an interview anyway. In that case there is nothing you can do.
February 6, 2024 at 04:53
Hello Brit Simon. I hope you’re good.
My case number is 2024EU21XXX
Do you have any predictions for the April visa bulletin?
I feel like I’m close to the process.
The April 2023 visa bulletin was announced as 26 thousand issues.
Best regards.
February 6, 2024 at 08:22
No predictions, you’ll see in a few days…
February 6, 2024 at 03:17
Hi Simon
I was studying DV2024 data file from xarthisius issued in February 3rd, and found some weird entries. There are two case number (2024EU13645, 2024EU14978) that are under status refused221g, how could it be possible if cut off for Europe for February is 13500?
February 6, 2024 at 08:22
Most likely they are Russians. The Moscow embassy implemented some additional pre interview screening a few years ago in about half their cases. Seeing 221g was the indicator they used in such cases, so it seems they are still doing that process.
February 5, 2024 at 22:00
Hello Simon,
Hope your well.
If one of the selectees keeps on taking bang every single day, during the medical check up will the person be disqualified because of the bang ?
What happens if you are the main applicant and your spouse keeps on smoking bang . Will he/she make your case be disqualified during the interview process ?
Can the consumption of bang make the one be disqualified during the interview process ?
February 6, 2024 at 08:07
First it would help if you used the correct word, rather than a local slang.
A physician can take habitual drug use as a public charge concern, and tgat can lead to disqualification.
February 5, 2024 at 17:31
Hi Brit,
I applied for the lottery while I was living in the US on a F1 visa. I won and filled out my DS-260 form while I was still there. I filed for Consular Processing as my visa was going to run out before the 2024 processing was going to begin. My residential address has obviously changed, but my DS-260 form still has my New York address. I’ve been given an interview date in March, how do I go about making sure my address is up to date without causing a mix up? Thank you!
February 5, 2024 at 19:59
The address is not important. Just update it at the interview
February 5, 2024 at 15:41
hi brit I wrote to the KCC to know the treatment of my DS26 and here is their response. What does this mean. I have a CN48K Africa Thank you for your inquiry.Your case number is now current for interview processing. If you are scheduled for an interview date, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.

Well someone made a mistake. Your number is not current yet, so the reply is incorrect

I have the impression KCC might have already effected a cut off number for April already and has simply not made it public. Remember anytime soon the VB for April interviews will be made public.

Kcc don’t decide the number and it is earlier than they would be told.

Hi Mr.Brit
I am a 2024 winner AF36xxx. I got a couple of questions;
1. When filling my ds-260 form I was asked if I had documentation to establish that I have received vaccination in accordance with US law and I mistakenly said “yes”, of which I don’t have such document. So I was wondering if that should be a serious problem
2. While waiting for the 2NL email, what are some of the documents I need to have at hand
3. What are some strategic questions that could be asked, that could take me off-guard
Thank you.

1. No
2. Read the instructions as everyone has different situations.
3. There are no questions you need to prepare for.

hello Mr.brits i hope you can give me you openeon
i will pass the interview in my country, i just got my KSA police CERTIFICATE it cover the period from 23-12-2023 to 25-01-2024 and i will leave the country 12-02-2024 so therE is 17 day not covering the residing period.
it is OK or i must make Another one ?
February 5, 2024 at 08:39
I think you may have the dates wrong – you don’t need a police cert for the period of time you detail.
February 5, 2024 at 11:22
Sorry 23-12-2022 to 25-01-2024 as i told you the certificate cover the period from 23-12-2022 to 24-01-2024, and i will leave the country in 12_02_2024 so there is like 18 days not covered in the certificate do i need to get new one or it’s ok
February 5, 2024 at 12:29
It’s ok.

I am AF60k, form a slow performing embassy. Let’s say that Africa reached 60k, and my embassy still at 40k. If I go to another country the following month, can I then ask for a change of address, after my number had passed?
February 4, 2024 at 23:15
If you wait that long you will be locked in to the bad performing embassy. You should unlock and change address before your number becomes current.

Hi Simon. I have read your info about obtaining a drivers licence and you mentioned that a few states recognise international drivers licences (I’m assuming don’t require a driving test) do you know which states they are?
Also, I have been in the USA for over 3 months and I know some states require that you get your licence within 30 days. Does that mean I’m going to have trouble getting my drivers licence?

1. No
2. No

Good day Brit. I’m a 2024 winner AF29XXX. I was unmarried when i entered, and had one child. My partner and i had another child December, and i unlocked to add the child in early January before the visa bulletin was published, but i have not finalised the DS260. I initially planned to go alone and then petition for my family afterwards, but after reading how difficult it is to get US visitors visas, i now want to take my family with. We’re getting married at the end of february.
Must i finalise my DS260 now, and then ask to unlock once we’re married, or must i leave it open and finalise it once we’re married and include my spouse’s details? My bassy if Johannesburg
February 3, 2024 at 17:50
There is no perfect way. I would personally add the child now and unlock again once married.
February 4, 2024 at 04:35
Do i not risk going into AV status now if I do that, and not being able to unlock once married?? If that happens will I be able to add my wife still at the interview?
February 4, 2024 at 07:49
Yes, that is a risk depending on when you submitted the DS260 the first time. If you are concerned about that, leave the DS260 unsubmitted, it might help.
February 4, 2024 at 13:56
Sorry to ask so many questions. If leave the DS260 unsubmitted until i get married, do i need to email KCC the marriage certificate or do i just update my marital status and produce it at the interview?
February 4, 2024 at 14:35
At the interview.

hi, Simon. I can’t see Azerbaijan embassy in CEAC. DO you know why?
February 3, 2024 at 08:46
I assume Azerbaijanis are interviewing at other consulates.
