Hi Simon
I’m 2024AS WINER and my case number is 24019 what do you think can I get 2NL?
July 9, 2024 at 23:21
It’s all about the embassy…
July 9, 2024 at 10:57
Dear Brit,
I am from Sri Lanka and my case number is 2024AS17xxx. Unfortunately Sri Lanka has not sent 2NLs out since May and the last 2NLs were in the 10,000 range. Would you recommend that I stick with the Sri Lankan embassy or attempt to switch my case to another country which is not so busy, and to which I currently have a multiple entry tourist visa.
Looking forward to your reply.
NJ
July 9, 2024 at 23:21
Probably too late to switch, but do what you feel is best.
July 10, 2024 at 00:51
Thanks Brit! Do you really think it is too late since there is 1.5 months to sort out the change? Also, if I attempt it, won’t my case be at CLM until/ if successfully switched, or will there be a period of limbo where I’m in neither embassy?
July 10, 2024 at 08:57
The first 2nls will be sent today.
Try if you like, it’s your decision.
July 9, 2024 at 10:40
Hello my friend
I am 2024AS19600 I have been stressed for almost 1 year and 2 months and FINALLY my case now is current and right now I am waiting for the 2NL 😍😍 my embassy is Jordan so hopefully I will get an interview 🙏🏼
I will prepare very well but I just wanted to thank you because you were my only trusted source of information during my dv journey
Fingers crossed 🤞
July 9, 2024 at 23:14
Good luck!
July 9, 2024 at 10:19
Hi Brit,
I just wanted to ask if the invitation for the interview is sent by the embassy or by KCC?
July 9, 2024 at 23:13
KcC
July 9, 2024 at 10:17
When I saw that Visa Bulletin roll out, I told myself, “Brit is NOT gonna like this.” Lmao.
Holy fuck they indeed went bananas. Africa CURRENT! EU50k and Asia 27.5K. Holy fuck what the fuck is going on. Is it only me or did it below the predictions out the water? Could it be because of the number of holes?
Ok so what happens now? All kinds of 2NL hell breaking loose? I believe more people in the September VB won’t be scheduled for an interview than the ones who will and people are gonna complain “I’m current I’m current but no 2NL” or they get 2NL and then gets cancelled. 2023 again?
They issued 32k visas so far and 19k are in ready status. So maybe they’re trying to get close to the limit.
And yeah. DV2025 numbers are next month I suppose but that’s okay. Let the DV2024 numbers settle in first. It’s a lot to take in for the September VB.
July 9, 2024 at 10:21
Yo, chill chill!
July 9, 2024 at 13:05
No chill. This is bizarre. Incoming 2NL mess and a lot of heartbreak for many.
If interviews are over-scheduled, visas will run out and this will be yet another 2023.
July 10, 2024 at 00:26
LMFAO… you truly are Australian… LOL. Just made my day.
July 9, 2024 at 23:12
Yep. As you said it could go one of two ways.
July 9, 2024 at 10:10
Hi Brit, my cn is 2024AS167xx. My embassy is sri lanka. Is it possible to get 2nl for me. Because SL embassy has not sent 2nl since may 16. Last cn was 10xxx.
July 9, 2024 at 23:10
You will have to wait and see.
July 9, 2024 at 09:21
Hello Mr.Simon,
I just have a question reagrding AOS. My number on visa bulletin recently became current for DV 2024 and I have a pending TPS renewal application. Can I still apply for my AOS application or do i need to wait for the renewal TPS application to be approved. Really appreciate you as always!
July 9, 2024 at 09:32
You really need to ask Mom.
July 9, 2024 at 08:58
Dear Simon,
What’s going on, they opened EU to 50k. In which order are the cases processed? We have submitted our DS260 in August 23 and had to reopen it in may 24. our CN is 2024EU303XX Embassy Frankfurt. Thank you.
July 9, 2024 at 09:33
You will still be at the front of the queue through case number order
July 9, 2024 at 09:34
Another question: do we count as a late may 24 submission or early August 23 because we reopened in may 24.
July 9, 2024 at 09:50
Makes no difference
July 9, 2024 at 08:48
Hi Simon,
I want to ask, is it possible that the visa bulletin for September change when it will come out in August, or the number is final in todays (august) visa bulletin for September (EU – 50.000) because my case number is 50492.
July 9, 2024 at 09:42
It won’t change. That’s a frustrating miss, but if you watch what is about to happen over the next few weeks, you might be glad you received a clean quick “death”.
July 9, 2024 at 17:45
Damn eh, so close yet so far
July 9, 2024 at 08:43
hello Brit, did u say more winners will be added on DV2025 winners?
July 9, 2024 at 09:43
We don’t know yet.
July 9, 2024 at 06:29
Hi Simon
DV2025 with a case number of AF16xxx. I filled in the DS 260 form but at the stage of doing the e-signature there were some difficulties, only to remember that I needed to remove the Zeros from my CS. However, upon removal of the Zeros the document got automatically submitted before appending e-signature. Despite the aforementioned I received a confirmation number. What should I do? Your guidance will be appreciated on this matter.
July 9, 2024 at 09:44
Submitting is signing. Relax, you are fine.
July 8, 2024 at 23:22
hello brit
it it normal for me not receiving a 2nl while case number further than mine receive theirs?
i sent an inquire to kcc again and they replied with “you case is now current…”
should i wait?
July 9, 2024 at 09:45
Yes that happens.
July 8, 2024 at 19:13
Hi Simon hope your fine, am really I have to ask again because I didn’t get any response from at first just have a quick one here I accidentally put my surname as my first name on my police clearance certificate and certificate of good conduct do you think this would in anyway effect my interview at the embassy? Thank you
July 9, 2024 at 09:45
I can’t be certain.
July 8, 2024 at 14:48
Hey Simon! I have an update:
I contacted the consulate to inquire about my case and why I din’t recieve a 2nl. within 1 hour I recieved an email with a link to USTravelDocs portal and information on how to log in. I logged in but there isn’t much that I can do on the portal. I still didn’t recieve 2nl.
What does this mean? I tought 2nl comes before USTravelDocs portal access.
July 9, 2024 at 09:46
That doesn’t help you without a 2nl, and without a 2nl the consulate knows nothing about your case. So the traveldocs registration is pointless at this time.
July 9, 2024 at 10:23
I believe it’s just a way to help me stay updated on my case so I won’t bother them with more emails
July 8, 2024 at 12:55
Hi Simon, I am not sure if my comment was submitted. I have legally changed my name in 2018, obviously, when I was registering for the lottery, I registered with my new and current name which, when I filled out my ds-260 form, I filled out every field with my new Name, I have high school diploma with a new name – Lika, my passport, id , everything….however, in ds-260 form there is a question: “have you used other names” and I selected “no”, not realizing the mistake…..I am scheduled for an interview in a month, if I take a legal document that I have in fact have changed name and I no longer use the old name, will they still reject me?
July 9, 2024 at 09:47
I can’t be sure.
July 8, 2024 at 12:37
I really hope they release the number of DV2025 selectees in August’s VB just so that we know. I keep refreshing the VB page hoping to see something lol. I DON’T WANT TO WAIT A MONTH FOR THE NUMBERS.
Not that it’ll make a difference lol but IFYKYK.
July 9, 2024 at 09:48
Another month to wait.
July 8, 2024 at 10:47
Hi Simon, sorry if the question has already been asked, but one thing isn’t clear to me. In the selection process, is the number YEAREU000100 the 100th drawn in Europe or the 100th drawn worldwide which coincidentally turned out to be a European case? Thank you so much for everything you do.
July 9, 2024 at 09:49
Each region has its own number range. Case 100 could exist in all regions.
July 8, 2024 at 03:37
Hi Simon
I have find out my previous address on the DS 260 was not complete (missing a single number), as I send a mail to KCC to unlock my ds260 yesterday I saw a video from you about that which I could correct it at the day of interview. So I’m asking can I ask KCC to stop Unlocking the ds260 because I have low case number of 4k and will be interviewed in Accra.
Secondly, do Us Embassy in Accra request for Affidavit of Support and Internal review status(IRS).
I don’t know if they will ask for an I-134 or financials.
July 8, 2024 at 07:42
They will probably unlock your form anyway because they will handle the emails in order. Just make the correction if they do.
July 7, 2024 at 22:33

Hello,
I won the DV-2022 lottery and even got my Immigrant Visa stamp on my passport. However, I was not able to enter the US within 6 months. So, it is expired
Am I able to do something at this point? Probably they will not renew my Immigrant Visa
July 7, 2024 at 23:18
No, you cannot do anything.
July 7, 2024 at 13:38
Dear Brit,
First of all, I would like to thank you for creating such a beautiful platform and for guiding and shedding light on Green Card and immigration issues. Let me get to the point quickly.
I attended the visa interview on 25 June 2024 at 07.30 in the morning on DV immigration (green card). The authorized consular officer asked me routine questions during the visa interview. However, since there was a glass in between during the interview, I could not understand only one question and answered incorrectly. The authorized consular officer told me; Do you have a CRIMINAL RECORD (POLICE REPORT) document? asked. I couldn’t understand the question at first. So I answered NO. Based on this, the authorized officer handed me the ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS (AP) paper and said that the administrative process would begin. When I asked why, he said he didn’t have a POLICE REPORT. I immediately said no sir, I have a police report and helped him find the relevant document. And he thanked me. Afterwards, he scribbled the POLICE REPORT section on the ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS paper with a pen. And he handed the paper back to me again. He said that some information needs to be checked and although this process is not certain, it will take between 1-2 weeks. Afterwards, the officer in charge asked me, “Are you going to travel somewhere soon?” And I said no. OK then, I’m taking your passport. He said that when my visa was approved, I could pick up his passport from the relevant courier office. I thanked him and left the embassy. Since June 25th, my immigration case has been updated twice. However, it still appears as rejected and I have not received any notification from the embassy. Almost 2 weeks. I have previously traveled to the UNITED ARAB EMIRATES and SERBIA as a tourist attraction. I don’t have any criminal record. I am a physical education and sports teacher. I have always been a person who lives by obeying the laws. Or is this a Name and Surname check? made by the FBI? Based on your experience, can you give me information about when my AP process will be completed? It’s been almost 2 weeks since my visa interview and my passport has been waiting at the embassy for 2 weeks. How would you evaluate and comment on this issue?
I will be waiting for your answer.
Thank you.
Note: MY PASSPORT IS STILL AT THE EMBASSY.
July 7, 2024 at 14:18
2 weeks is not a long time to wait. Be patient.
July 7, 2024 at 22:24
Hi Brit my case number is 2024AF74k from Cameroon , my case number becomes current in July bulletin, since then I haven’t received the 2nl,
1, sir is Yaounde embassy backlog or they are done with 2nl for August, can one still have hope of being scheduled for interview . thanks
July 7, 2024 at 23:17
They are a little backlogged so you should get a chance for a September interview.
July 9, 2024 at 09:51
Hi, my CN is 2024AF73k Yde too. can we connect via mail [email protected]
July 7, 2024 at 11:44
Hello Brit Simons, we will have interview this month (EU24***). Still do not understand if we have to complete Form I-134 and Affidavit of Support or if its enough if we have money in bank account? If so, how much money is enough? Also we have few apartments in EU.
July 7, 2024 at 11:47
You would need liquid assets (bank holdings) around $10K per person.
Some embassies/COs will ask for the financial proof/I-134 more commonly than others.
July 7, 2024 at 11:40
Hello, brits.
Hope you have a good day!!!
I’m the dv winner of 2024.
My case number is 2024AF466×× from Tanzania.
1. what do you think about the performance at the Tanzania embassy.
2. I didn’t receive my 2nl till now, and I have been current since April.
3. I already contacted with KCC embassy, and here is their response
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now available for interview processing. If you are scheduled for an interview date, you will receive a notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov.
3) Your suggestion, please.
Waiting for your response!!
July 7, 2024 at 11:49
DRS are backlogged. They took 35 interviews for August, if they do that again for September then you may have a chance.
July 7, 2024 at 10:52
Hi Simon
I mistakenly indicated that I was married to a U.S. citizen on my DV Lottery application, while I am actually single. The person who assisted me with the application made this error. No spouse information was provided because there was no spouse. There was no intention to mislead or gain any advantage. I have corrected this in the DS-260 form, and I have a certificate of bachelorhood confirming that I have never been married. I have an interview at the consulate next month for DV24 visa. Should I attend the interview, and do I stand a chance of obtaining the visa, or is this mistake grounds for automatic rejection? Or should I not attend the interview at all?
I am very concerned about my situation and would appreciate your advice.
July 7, 2024 at 11:45
To be honest, I find it somewhat suspicious, and I think the CO might also see it that way. So – you must decide whether to take the risk or not, and that is partly based on whether you are telling the truth or not.
July 7, 2024 at 12:50
“Is it possible for the consular officer to consider this error merely as a mistake that can be corrected if I explain my situation, emphasizing that I did not intend to lie or mislead? I did not provide any information suggesting someone was my wife, as I registered alone without anyone accompanying me during the registration. Therefore, there was no benefit for me in doing so. Can this be rectified? Or is this mistake as serious as someone applying as single when they are actually married?
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I would like to know your opinion so that I can prepare properly for my interview, especially since I live in Germany and my interview will be in Morocco.
Thank you in advance for your help.
July 7, 2024 at 13:29
The risk as I see it is the bizarre choice you made in the entry (whether you did it or someone else did it, you are still responsible).
Why would anyone pick married to a US citizen if they had been always been single. It makes no sense. It suggests to me that there was a previous marriage, that you are now trying to cover up.
July 7, 2024 at 13:41
No, it is just a mistake, and if there had been a previous marriage, I would have mentioned that I was divorced on the DS-260 form and completed the procedures without any complications or problems, but in reality it is just a mistake due to the computer with which the person registered me, especially since with this option they do not ask you to enter the wife’s information in The loyal page means he didn’t notice this
July 7, 2024 at 14:16
OK – well you can decide what to do.
July 7, 2024 at 10:25
hello the VB for the month of September will be released when?.
July 7, 2024 at 11:43
In the next week or so.
July 7, 2024 at 10:00
Hey Simon, I was selected for the Fiscal year 2025, but I was a little late submitting my DS260 and have been placed 19XX for Oceania. What do you think my chances of being selected for an interview are? Thanks for all the information you provide.
July 7, 2024 at 11:43
You probably have a chance.
July 7, 2024 at 09:18
Hi, Brit. Am dv-2024 winner and now scheduled for interviews on August 30,2024 with case number AF72522. I have few issues that I want your guardance jn preparing me for the task ahead. I’m a high School Graduate with diploma, unfortunately the year I graduated wasn’t the same year sat for the national exams. I sat for the exams the following year where I made a pass as a private candidate! For job, I have served as police officer for 13 years moving forward. What are my chances of receiving a visas?
July 7, 2024 at 11:42
Some CO’s will have a problem with the delayed nature of your education.
Also, work as a basic police officer does not meet the requirement.
So – you have some risk of denial, but the only way to know for sure is the go through the interview.
July 7, 2024 at 04:29
Hi Mr. Simon
My wife won the dvAF2025 case no 44*** cameroon and when filling the form ds260 there were some mistakes which was only discovered after submission such as, the missing of one later of her husband name, one later missing on her Facebook name and omission of one subject on each of her 2 high school diploma.so my question is do we still have a chance if yes, please what should we do at this stage. Thank you
July 7, 2024 at 11:36
Make sure the DS260 has the corrected information. If you do that, it should be OK.
July 9, 2024 at 12:45
Thank you sir
July 7, 2024 at 03:48
hello BRIT, we’ve done medicals for DV 2024, now do we need to register nor do something b4 the interview which is in a week?
July 7, 2024 at 11:33
That is probably all you do, but make sure you have read and followed the embassy instructions.
July 6, 2024 at 21:35
Thank you very much Simon…
July 6, 2024 at 18:10
I’m a selectee of the DV2025, please are there any fees associated with filling up the DS260 ?
July 7, 2024 at 11:32
No
July 6, 2024 at 14:45
Good day Simon,
Case Number: 2024EU33***
Post: Johannesburg
A month ago I received a new passport with a changed surname (took my maiden name back after divorce).
Do you think I should request KCC to unblock my DS260 and update my passport details?
I have added my maiden surname in the “Other Names” field when I submitted DS260 back in May 2023.
Thank you!
July 7, 2024 at 11:30
No – do that at the interview.
July 7, 2024 at 17:05
Thank you for your response, and for everything that you do, Simon.
July 6, 2024 at 14:44
Hi Brit,
1) So in June, the July VB is published for July and August. In July, the August VB is published for August and September. What will happen in August? Publish both the September 2024 and October 2025 in one VB? It seems like it.
2) I noticed that usually in the September VB, all regions go current which happens in August, but no 2NLs get scheduled? In August 2022, I saw that all regions went current as well. Why? Why does September VB always go current, and do they get 2NLs scheduled at that time?
3) Also, out of curiosity, why did Lagos stop accepting any DV cases for eligible DV candidates? Do they get notified by that early on at least? I
July 7, 2024 at 11:28
1. Yes
2. That won’t happen this year and didn’t happen last year.
3. I don’t know.
July 7, 2024 at 15:32
You’re right. That did not happen last year. What I don’t understand is, why did they select 140k out of all entrants this year for a quota of 55k. That is a lot of unneeded selectees. I know some will slip through the cracks of disqualifications and refusals, but isn’t 140k a little too much?
If the probability of selection is 1% and one was selected, the probability of getting a visa is now 30% as opposed to roughly 50% previously. Which realistically makes it a whole possibility 0.3% of securing an IV.
July 7, 2024 at 16:29
140K is too many, of course, but a good number would still be about 100K – so there are a lot of “back ups” needed.
July 6, 2024 at 10:34
Good day Brit Simon,i am writing to find out what to do when (FNU) appears after your names..On my passport the (given name) space is blank and all my names are under the (surname) space. My national i.d. card and my birth certificate has same..this was because on my birth certificate there is no space for surname or given name ,it is just written (name of child)…do i need to re-do a different passport and separate the names then explain that to the consular on my interview or how do i go about it?Thank you
July 7, 2024 at 11:22
I’m not familiar with the names rules in your region, so it is best for you to use your own judgement.
July 6, 2024 at 00:52
Hello, Simon
Today I check my DS260 of my 1.5 year son. I accidentally put Present Address: address in Thailand ,but country/Region “Russia”. My case is already current and got 2NL to have interview in Bangkok.. should I be worry for this mistake, if it matters where can I fix this?
July 6, 2024 at 07:06
I accidentally did exactly the same thing. It was a non-issue.
July 6, 2024 at 21:35
Thank you very much
July 6, 2024 at 08:44
Doesn’t matter. Correct it at the interview.
July 5, 2024 at 23:23
Hi Simon
Can I still get a new host even after my visa is issued ?
Can I book my ticket to another state other than my host’s state?
July 6, 2024 at 08:43
Yes and Yes
July 5, 2024 at 22:51
hello Brit, am scheduled, I have a Biological junior sister and step-brothers and a sister all in the States for almost 20 years now.
Am scheduled for an interview via DV lott.
I have a family of 5 on the DV.
I have a stable job, with my non-working breastfeeding wife.
1. Do you think I should attach a bank statement due to the size (6) of my family?
2. Do I need to attach an affidavit of support from all my siblings?
3.My lastborn baby is not on the DV but I added her to the medicals, what do you advise I do to get the baby along?
4. My host is my Jr sister who is a nurse and a single parent, will her position HELP?
July 6, 2024 at 08:43
1. Possibly – an I-134 would be better.
2. Ideally, yes
3. Contact the embassy to create a DS260 for the baby.
4. Not really.
July 7, 2024 at 04:11
any tip on ACCRA direct mail address? thanks, Brit
, very grateful,
July 7, 2024 at 11:35
I don’t have that.
July 5, 2024 at 18:40
Hello Simon.
My case number is 2024AF61k from Morocco. My case number is current in August, but I still didn’t receive a 2nl. Should I start panicking?
July 5, 2024 at 19:01
CSB have been taking about 300 case per month, then for some reason they only took 80 cases For August. We can’t know what that means, or what they will do next. You need them to take at least 300 cases for the final month.
July 6, 2024 at 03:13
So probably they’ve done sending 2nls for August, and I should wait and see what happens in September, right?
That’s what I’ll do. Thank you Simon
July 5, 2024 at 17:53
Hello Simon,
I lived in India from 2013 to 2017.I am winner of DV25 for EU region. I have added all the addresses in DS260 where i stayed in India. I was looking at the Reciprocity page for Police Certificate in India section and saw comment like “Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) nationals applying outside India.” What do you think officer will ask me to give the police certificate once i get an interview even they mention not avaliable for non-indian at the Reciprocity page.
July 5, 2024 at 18:26
Not available means not expected to provide a police certificate.
July 6, 2024 at 01:27
Hello,
2025af13k, I stayed in India from 2018 to 2022.
I already applied and got my PCC from there while living in UAE.
Simon I can email you the document as a proof.
When people say India is not provide pcc for foreigners, I get confused. Kindly share your email address
July 6, 2024 at 08:46
I have no need for proof of anything.
July 5, 2024 at 17:34
Hi Brit Simon
I’m from Ghana (Accra embassy ) with case number of AF202526**. Do you think I stand a chance of getting interview
2 Please on my ds260 forms at the section present work/ education I answered not employed and also said say no to where you previously employed will it cause me to be denied of the visa if I go to the interview thanks
Will be pleased with your reply
July 5, 2024 at 18:25
1. Your number is low enough to get an appointment IF the embassy do at least some DV interviews.
2. The truth is important. You may be asked why you think you will find a job in America with no work experience.

Hi, Simon thanks for the good work your doing for us just a quick one am just wondering if am scheduled for an interview in August does it mean that’s when I should try to register my visa appointment with my embassy in August not in a month earlier. And also in your previous YouTube videos you suggested that anyone find difficulties in registering there appointment with the embassy should email you their details and you try to see if you can help them out and one of them but unfortunately I failed to find your email anywhere so as to share my details with you how could you help me on that please?
July 5, 2024 at 14:04
You should register about a week after the 2NL.
Nairobi is the embassy whose system seems to be giving a problem, so I would help with registrations for that embassy once someone has tried to register and failed.
July 5, 2024 at 22:50
Hi brit I have tried to register my interview in Nairobi embassy but still no hope, I was able to book for medical and also created an account but when I try to register interview no progress it’s over 2wks now case no 2024AF70k

July 6, 2024 at 08:41
If you created an account that is all you needed to do. You already have an appointment.
July 6, 2024 at 13:50
Hi brit so this means I have already registered for the interview? Just asking because I didn’t see any section where I would select my DHL
July 7, 2024 at 11:27
I can’t see the system you are using, but surely there are some instructions…
July 5, 2024 at 10:47
Hello Simon,
Good day.
Are expedite requests applicable for DV cases? Would they accept such requests when the case is current and 2NLs haven’t been sent for over 2 months?
July 5, 2024 at 10:59
No. There is no such thing.
July 5, 2024 at 07:23
Hi Brit ,
Good day there.
First of All ,thank you very much for your support as I have been scheduled for an interview on next week at Kigali Embassy; as you have been providing a light mostly on DV cases.
Can I ask :-
1.Is the Form I-134 mandatory for the interview
2.Which documents must I present to the Embassy as I go for the interview to prove my work experience?
July 5, 2024 at 10:23
1. It varies by embassy and CO and case.
2. You really only need to show that if not able to qualify through education. But you can show things like CV/resume, letters of employment, pay records and so on. It is up to you to use judgement.

Hi Simon,
My case number is EU31XXX, so possibly getting DV2024 interview scheduled for this September.
Our adult daughter (who was under 21 at time of entering) of 22yrs. now, soon 23, does not wish to attend the interview, nor medical, as she has aged out. Her DS-260 has already been submitted.
Are there any negative implications to her or us, if she just will not take the medical, not attend the interview ? Or can/should she rather somehow cancel her application or express her intent not to join us for the interview ?
Appreciating your answer on this situation.
July 5, 2024 at 09:47
She simply doesn’t attend the interview.
She cannot withdraw her application, and the fact that she filed the DS260 might be a factor that makes future non immigrant visa applications a bit harder.

I’m from Ghana (Accra embassy ) with case number of AF28xxx. Do you think I stand a chance of getting interview or I should change my embassy? And if yes. What embassy do you recommend with such case number.
Will be pleased with your reply
July 5, 2024 at 09:45
You haven’t mentioned which year – DV2024 or DV2025
If it is DV2024 then you certainly will not get an interview at Accra. You might have saved your case if you had moved to another country but it is too late for that now.
If you are DV2025, you might want to assume they will continue the bad performance, and therefore move to another country. For that it is a matter of where you can move and reside legally.
July 6, 2024 at 03:47
Sorry not to adding the year but it’s 2025
I haven’t filled my ds260 yet. I’m waiting for you to do the videos on the number of the selectees as you said in your previous videos that it will be known in July or August
Can I fill my Ds260 form with sierra Leon as my place of interview without physically been there until I get my 2NL
I know a Ghanaian that did same with a case number 19xxx and had his visa in the FY24.
Do you think it’s possible this year too?
July 6, 2024 at 08:53
Understand that you will be expected to provide a police certificate if you live in a country for 6 months prior to the interview.

Thank you for your useful information. My brother is currently in a bit of limbo. His number is around 11k for Asia, Iran, and his embassy is in Ankara. He became current over a month ago but has still not received any emails from the Turkish embassy. He is extremely worried. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
He has visited several agencies in Iran, but unfortunately, he cannot trust what they are saying. He always relies on the information I obtain from your videos.
July 5, 2024 at 09:42
Unfortunately Ankara are extremely backlogged because they have not been giving DV cases enough capacity. In order to reach your brothers number they would have to accept hundreds of interviews in the last month and they have shown no sign of anything like that determination. So – I think he will lose his chance and it is now too late to do anything about it. I have been warning about this in my videos for months.
July 5, 2024 at 09:45
Thank you. I know you warned people about the backlog in Ankara.

Dv-2024 winner, 2nL received since 25 June, I open the letter and was directed to the entrants status check where I strolled down and saw that my case is being scheduled on August 30,2024 at 8am. NOW, does this means I’ve to book my own appointments or schedules or it’s already scheduled where I should just prepare myself for the date mentioned?
July 7, 2024 at 11:42
You have your interview date. Now you book your medicals. Read and follow the instructions.
July 4, 2024 at 22:57
Hi Simon, I am 2025 DV winner with AS10XXX . My Date of birth at high school certificate is 05 Oct 1981 ( MM-DD-YYYY ) but my passport , NRIC and birth cert are actual correct date with 10 May 1981 ( DD-MM-YYYY ). Will there be any issue at visa interview ? Thank you.
July 5, 2024 at 09:37
No
July 4, 2024 at 19:45
Hello Simon,
Our case is EU257xx in embassy of Yerevan, Armenia. Do we have a chance?
July 4, 2024 at 18:35
Hello, my case number is eu18xxx, embassy Naples, Italy. I haven’t gotten my 2nl yet , my ds260 is also very short as I am young and there’s no other people with me 🙁
July 4, 2024 at 19:51
What year DV2024?
If it is DV2024 then contact KCC immediately and ask why you have not been scheduled. Also check your ESC page in case you missed the 2NL
July 4, 2024 at 20:01
It is 2025EU18xxx, I have already contacted KCC and they said that it’s getting processed even though the case is current its still at KCC and not at Naples yet. I was expecting it in june
July 4, 2024 at 20:09
It’s not current yet. DV2025 hasn’t even started. You have to wait until mid 2025.
Slow down and learn how the process works.

Hello Simon.
Already getting used to your blog and I am much grateful for your timely response.
My Spouse is a dv2025 winner AF0001xx meaning we are already sure of her being current before December
We got married early June and we are planning to fill and submit ds260 so us she can add me as a derivative the challenge that we are having is that I had submitted a B1B2 visa with my girlfriend who I had mentioned in my application that we are married(Customary marriage) since we were planning to legalize it at Georgia this month. Our interview was scheduled on August together with her son but the biological father refused the child to travel to Georgia after discovering our plan. We had a disagreement, broke up and end up cancelling the Interview scheduled for August.
If my legally married wife adds me as a derivative in her ds260 will it affect our chances of getting the visa and if yes or no how can we go about it.
Kindly advise and if possible discuss it so that we can help others who might be in a same scenario and ill appreciate if you reply in my mail. Thank you as I wait for your timely response
July 4, 2024 at 19:49
Look, if you are legally married, then your wife should include you and list her status as married. That isn’t optional.
Hopefully the previous application won’t come up, but if it does, just answer honestly.
