Hello there, I was in your life cession right now, it ended and my question did not get an answear, I want to know what can be the reason some embassy have stopped sneding 2NL, for example DRC, 23K up to now, we don’t know what is happening, some people said that the embassy has reached the quota of the DV visa.
July 28, 2024 at 14:35
The embassies set their capacity for the number of interviews month to month – then KCC fill that capacity. I don’t know why DRC stopped taking cases.

Hello, Dear Simon,
my case number is EU169XX . i am a citizen of turkey and i live in uzbekistan and my case is in usa tashkent embassy . i have not received an email for an interview . My case has been current for a long time, but I don’t understand why they don’t call me. Should I talk to the lawyer for this. If yes, will I have to search for the lawyer from the USA? And I have turist visa but I think it is so late for aos.Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice
July 28, 2024 at 14:32
I would have considered AOS in your position. I don’t think a lawyer can help.
July 28, 2024 at 13:23
Hello Simon,
when I arrived to US airport, what’s the process after that, is there a small interview with immigrant officer or anything? I just want to know the general procedure after arriving there.
and if I want to change my SSN mailing address, should I just inform the officer my new address and that’s it?
Thank you so much for all your help <3
July 28, 2024 at 14:31
It is almost a non event. They just take the documents from you. Nothing like another interview. If you do need to change the address, that will be the last chance.

Hello Mr. Simon,
I am wondering what can I do from now on because Ankara Embassy is quite slow and bad behaving atm. My CN is around EU6200. Is there any chance that I can transfer my case to another Embassy? My Schengen visa has expired on June 20th. I need an Embassy that accepts Turkish citizens. I`m quite disappointed, and change my all plans accordingly when I got selected int he first place. I should have select Embassy in Italy at the very beginning and I will blame myself until I die if I cannot make it 🙁
July 28, 2024 at 14:30
It is too late to move.
July 28, 2024 at 12:42
Hi Simon
Budapest embassy might receive a second batch or really unlikely to happen as it is a smaller embassy dealing with fewer cases?
Thank you
July 28, 2024 at 14:29
No one knows for certain.
July 28, 2024 at 12:35
Hello, my case is EU251**, russian. Location has been changed from Warsaw to Yerevan in February. If I’m correct, my number had been current in August (for July it was “Except: Russia 24,750”), I have Russian citizenship, and Armenian working permit (not passport). Could I join lawsuit? Is my case relatable?
July 28, 2024 at 14:29
Well no – the cases I think have a legitimate complaint was EU region cases current in July.
July 28, 2024 at 09:10
Hi simon,
I have a question about AV queue. My case number is 2024AS175**. I have unlocked my case on 2 July 2024 and changed some stuff. Did this make my case to go back in AV queue when become current. The case number larger than mine 2024AS1756** received 2NL but I did not. What can I do?
July 28, 2024 at 09:26
When I asked KCC for my case status as soon as I submitted again, KCC said Your DS-260 has been processed. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Any ideas?
July 28, 2024 at 10:21
Unlocking doesn’t send you to the back of some queue.
July 28, 2024 at 08:20
Hi Simon, 2024OC192X assigned to BMB, sadly no 2NL. Saw your video on AV queue further explained and INJUSTICE in Yerevan!!!! Could there be injustice in BMB too? Africa was current upto 67500 in July and they seem to have reached only upto AF65596 by end of 2 Nls for August. So if going by Alphabetical order, one can understand why OC192X which became current did not receive 2NL for even in August or even September interviews.
But then, Asia received 2NLs upto their current number for July and August. Should not Asia numbers beyond 13000 have also waited for backlogged Africa cases from July to be issued 2NLS first? Why only EU and Oceania have to suffer because of the alphabetical system?
I have looked only at cases that became current in July and August. May be this bias could have been going on right from the first 2Nls issued.
Our case OC192X although has chargeability to Oceania region, the concerned person has been a citizen and resident of India. So if BMB prioritises Asia cases, should it also not give justice to its own citizen who has not moved from another embassy region?
Please have a look at what I worked out from the latest Xarthisius Ceac data.

July 28, 2024 at 10:06
The OC192X case may well have been disadvantaged. BUT it is hard for me to be certain because to enter the AV queue the case must be processed and current. There could also be some factor they can defend that favors local cases. The reason the Armenian case is so clearly wrong, is because they would have an average of 10 processed cases per thousand and it is their own local embassy.
July 28, 2024 at 07:27
Greetings Mr Simon
1)Please i wish to know if the DS-260 has an expiring date? Am asking because I already filled my DS-260 at the end of the month of May and my case number is 2025AF58k embassy Yaounde Cameroon.
2) when to start emailing the KCC to know if my case is current?
3) And what are my chances for getting an interview
Thanks my mentor ⭐⭐
July 28, 2024 at 10:18
1. One person was asked to refill their DS260 because the form had expired. But that is not a concern for you at this time.
2. You don’t you learn how the visa bulletin works.
3. Probably OK.
July 28, 2024 at 03:37
Hello BritSimon. My case number is 2024EU35***, and as you may already know, my case number is current now, my embassy is BKK. So, what should I expect, will kcc send me the 2nl or not, or should i again email kcc to send us the 2nl because 1) it is current 2) our DS-260 is processed, the kcc emailed us in the past that our DS-260 is processed successfully, recently when we emailed to send us the 2nl, they answered like that:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. If you are scheduled for an interview date, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
July 28, 2024 at 10:13
They just took September interviews for BKK, and it did not reach your number. It’s not impossible for an embassy to get a second batch, but it is unlikely.
July 28, 2024 at 03:06
Hi Brit
2025 Asia 16xxx , Nationality is Jordan, but the chosen Embassy is Riyadh since I live in KSA. Based on your experience, should I move the Embassy to Jordan? Which is usually faster or processes more Visas?
July 28, 2024 at 10:10
They will probably use your current address to pick your embassy.
July 29, 2024 at 06:21
Thanks for the response. Riyadh embassy is already chosen but my questions:
1) Historically speaking is Riyadh faster than Jordan Embassy?
2) Based on Q1, should I move application it to Jordan?
Appreciated
July 29, 2024 at 12:56
I don’t have a historical analysis on that – you are welcome to look at the data for yourself.

Hey Simon
I just watched your last video on Youtube for the queue in FRA embassy. I am DV2025 EU 14k Can this effect me, I will be in Frankfurt embassy…
all the best, M
July 28, 2024 at 10:07
It’s doesn’t affect you.
July 28, 2024 at 01:24
Hi Simon.
Hope you’re doing well. I received 2nl last week Thursday. When confirming my interview date I made a mistake with my name, I omitted my middle name. This issue was caused by auto complete. Since there is no information review before the confirmation I didn’t notice because I had initially filled these fields correctly. I this a call for cocern ? If yes how could I correct if if I can’t do it on the embassy website?
July 28, 2024 at 10:07
No problem as long as you put the name in the DS260.
July 28, 2024 at 00:34

July 29, 2024 at 13:34
I know.
July 27, 2024 at 17:28
Hi Brit, My email is not working so I have changed it, and now I am realizing that my 2NL won´t get to me when they send it.
Can you tell me if there is something to do about it? Can you tell me where to write a letter for the change? Is it possible? I am DV Lottery 2025, SA2xxx. Thank you.
July 27, 2024 at 18:05
Write to KCC.
July 27, 2024 at 17:24
Hi Simon
I am from Pakistan, and I was selected in dv 2024. I applied to my spouse’s eligible country, and she is my second wife. Am I eligible, while polygamy is not allowed in the U.S. ?
July 27, 2024 at 18:04
Oh second wife. No that is not acceptable. The second marriage will be regarded as bigamy, and therefore not a legal marriage. You will be disqualified.
July 27, 2024 at 17:21
Hi Simon
I am from i Pakistan, and I was selected in dv 2024. I applied to my spouse’s eligible country and I did an interview in July. During the interview they asked me why i did not mention my wife’s name and picture in the dv application, but my wife is also a full permanent president of the U.S. So, I was not able to add her, so they gave me 221 g. Am I eligible if my spouse is a U.S. law full permanent resident?
July 27, 2024 at 18:02
I’m not 100% sure of that exact scenario. Very rare.
July 27, 2024 at 14:33
Hello Simon, I wanted to ask what exactly an activation trip is? Can I enter the USA, stay for a week and then leave without having received the green card? Would I be able to enter the USA without it?
Secondly, how long does it take approximately to receive the green card itself?
Thank you so much.
July 27, 2024 at 18:00
1. Yes
2. Up to 4 months.
July 27, 2024 at 18:52
I see, and would the same rule then apply of keeping my stay outside the USA limited to up to 6 months? I was wondering how I would be able to enter the USA without any credentials then (not having received the card yet).
Thank you.
July 27, 2024 at 23:41
Keep absences under 6 months ideally, but up to 12 months is acceptable (but may incur more questioning).
The immigrant visa is endorsed the first time you enter, and that is your proof of status.
July 27, 2024 at 12:43
Greetings Britsimon,
I am DV2024 winner number EU31823. I see that on 24th July 2NLs have been sent for embassy in Bucharest (BCH) where I belong, for 10 different cases with highest number being 31760.
I counted that there are a total of 14 cases between EU31760 and my number, which all currently have NVC status, but for example I see that in other embassies such as Belgrade, even the number EU36136 got the 2NL. Higher case numbers than mine got 2NLS for embassies in Pristina, Naples, Vienna, Prague etc.
Does that mean that all those people will have interview scheduled before mine?
Do you think I might receive 2NL next week? Or am I supposed to e-mail KCC to ask?
Anything I should do at this point beside waiting?
July 27, 2024 at 12:56
Unfortunately it probably means you have missed out by a small number. There is a small chance that BCH takes additional interviews, but it is not likely.
July 27, 2024 at 13:01
By the way, my country of Foreign State Chargeability is Serbia, but me and my wife live in Romania now. Does that mean that if I selected Belgrade as an embassy we would have got interview?
July 27, 2024 at 17:59
Maybe.
July 28, 2024 at 12:22
It seems kind of unfair that people with much higher case numbers than ours, and from the same country of chargeability, got the opportunity for an interview and we didn’t. They basically skipped my number. I wouldn’t even have minded being interviewed at the Belgrade embassy, but I don’t see how we could have foreseen that they would stop in Bucharest at EU31760 and in Belgrade at EU36136. They basically skipped my number. It is what it is, however. Fourteen cases from EU32062 to EU36136 were processed, and I, with EU31823, was not.
I would have more understanding if they had raised the last bulletin to EU31500, which would help me understand why I didn’t get a 2NL. But instead, they raised it to EU50000, and EU36136 goes while EU31823 doesn’t.
The order of numbers was respected until this month, I guess. Unlucky for us, but I know they don’t care.
I just wanted to ask if it is known when they will stop sending 2NLs, so we know how long we can hope for our 0.001% chance. 🙂
July 28, 2024 at 14:28
The process is frustrating and at times is unfair. The large increases in the last VB were unwise.
July 27, 2024 at 14:04
Hi brit my case says in-transit but i have received my 2nl can you clarify that for how long roughly till it says ready
July 27, 2024 at 18:00
Until the embassy updates CEAC. But that doesn’t matter.
July 27, 2024 at 12:19
I has not received any email for my DS 2021 case up to now. How can I get help?
July 27, 2024 at 12:55
That year is over.
July 27, 2024 at 08:16
Dear britsimon
Many greetings,
In your latest youtube show, in connection with addis ababa dv lottery update, you mentioned there is danger for from 22k to 23.5k. As a reason, you raised new AV queue start.
I kindly request you to breifly elaborate What new AV queue start means? Why it affects the range from 22k to 23.5k?
Thanks in advance.
July 27, 2024 at 09:05
Cases are added each month to the AV queue according to which cases are current and have been processed. So each time a new range of numbers are being added because of the VB, there is a chance that much lower cases will also be added because they were current earlier but processed late.
July 27, 2024 at 05:28
Hi brit my case.no is 2024AS11.8K FROM NEPAL, by calculating issued+ready cases its about 54600. I don’t think we’ll have a chance now. Case is still at NVC.
July 27, 2024 at 08:53
Some of the ready cases were scheduled in previous months and did not show up for their interview, and likely won’t reschedule. That is at least 4000 of the ready cases. However, on the other hand there are 5K cases in 221g.
July 27, 2024 at 02:17
Hi Simon, 2NLs have been sent, and my number has been skipped (greater case numbers have received 2NLs). What does that mean?
July 27, 2024 at 08:50
That can happy in a variety of scenarios. Without more info I won’t speculate what it meant in your case.

Hi simon
I am a srilankan and i was in singapore when i got selected for dv2024 , so i mentioned my interview location as singapore, my case number 22***, but i had to returned to srilanka within a short time , and i tried to change my interview location but it didn’t work so my interview location is still as Singapore in my application but im currently working in srilnka. Is there any chance I could get 2NL ? If so is it ok to travel there to attend the interview ?
July 26, 2024 at 23:08
I don’t know whether you will get an interview or not.
July 26, 2024 at 18:57
Hello,
I noticed that there were around 120 2nls sent for Warsaw embassy on the 25th of July. I’m assigned to this embassy with 2024 CN 310xx, do you think there’s any possibility of them of sending more 2nls? What’s your thoughts?
Best Regards,
Daria
July 26, 2024 at 23:07
I don’t know.
July 26, 2024 at 17:51
I have seen that Taipei took 5 AS region cases, does that mean they won’t take anymore? Is contacting KCC or embassy in Taipei could help? What would you suggest?
July 26, 2024 at 18:41
I don’t know
July 26, 2024 at 17:23
Hi Britsimon,
1- Is there a schedule for Nepal this month, and what is the highest number the Nepal embassy (KDU) has reached?
2- My CN is about 15K, Is there a possibility that I will get an interview?
July 26, 2024 at 18:40
1. The data was published. https://dvcharts.xarthisius.xyz/ceacFY24.html
2. I don’t know.
July 26, 2024 at 15:43
Hi Simon! How are you?
Any other cases scheduled for Oceania yet? (SYD) 🙏 Or is it looking like more towards next week, the last week of the month?
Still praying and holding out everyday.
Checking my emails at all hours of the morning this whole week, so suspenseful.
Thank you in advance!
July 26, 2024 at 16:54
100 cases were scheduled at SUVA. 8 other cases have been scheduled, I think 4 of those are NZ.
There is another scrape happening now and we may have more info from that data when Xarthisius posts it around 1 hour from now.
July 26, 2024 at 15:24
Has Paris embassy already sent 2nls?
July 26, 2024 at 15:32
I don’t know.
July 26, 2024 at 14:51
Hi BritSimon,
My questions are:
1) Do you know if it’s gonna be a problem if our first coming to the USA (to actually get the green cards) is shorter than 6 six months? I mean if we decide to permanently move (stay) on our next coming a year later?
2) I have a valid SSN (previously H2B employed). Do you know if I can start looking/applying for a job before coming to the USA? I work in the IT industry so it won’t be a problem for me to work from a distance at the beginning. I’m just not sure if an administrative change on my SSN should be made or not.
Thank you for your time.
July 26, 2024 at 15:30
1. No problem.
2. You can start immediately. You may need a replacement SSN card if yours says something about not authorized for work. Same number, new card.
July 27, 2024 at 21:34
is there likely a chance to send another batch of 2nls by kdu
July 27, 2024 at 23:43
I don’t know.
July 26, 2024 at 12:53
Hello, Simon! In your opinion, the Embassy in Bishkek can call for an additional interview? According to your information, 44+8 people were invited the other day, right? And can they call for more?
July 26, 2024 at 15:22
I don’t know.
July 26, 2024 at 11:55
Dear Simon,
1) After I pay the DOS 330$ fee for adjustment of status, my case number will no longer remain in the AV queue and I won’t be scheduled an interview at Jerusalem embassy if they received another batch, am I correct ?
2) this is not a question but Jerusalem embassy received 2 batches of interviews in June not only one batch.
July 26, 2024 at 15:20
1. No – there is no connection between CP and AOS.
2. I know.
July 26, 2024 at 20:50
Okay Simon I will take your word for it but hear me out.
I booked a consultation with Jesse Bless.
He said to me that once I pay the DOS transfer fee of 330$, my case will be transferred out of KCC and sent to USCIS at which point I will not be sent a 2NL if there was a second batch of 2NLs ?
He said that I have to choose one or the other, either file for AOS or wait and see if there was another batch of 2NLs for Jerusalem.
He said if I started the AOS process I could never be scheduled for a consular interview if there was a second batch because my case will be transferred out of KCC.
What do you think ? Could he be missing something? Are you 100% sure I could still be scheduled for an interview after AOS ?
I raised the point that I’ve heard you say that it is possible to still be scheduled and he said that I could ask you again and get a more elaborate answer but he doesn’t see how can someone who’s paid the fee and got his case sent to uscis still be scheduled an interview because he thinks that won’t happen since KCC transfers the case file out of KCC to USCIS. He said I could still ask you but that was his opinion and answer.
What do you think?
And thank you so much for the constant help, you are a saviour.
July 26, 2024 at 23:05
The key is to not change the DS260 (it’s optional) and delay paying the fee until it is clear that the CP route is lost (which will be within days from now). That gives you some days to get the aos filing ready.
July 27, 2024 at 01:00
What would I have to change in the DS260 ?
Do you mean change the address of where I live ? I should leave it as my current address in the West Bank, is that it ?
And how late can I delay filing the fee ?
Is it true that after I pay the fee CP route is completely lost or there is risk but not complete loss?
July 27, 2024 at 08:48
Look I think you are thinking about this wrong. If you have the ability to do AOS, you need to gain as much time as possible. You should already be booking a flight, in my opinion, and if you do, it will be a few days before you are in the USA anyway. You can wait this coming week for JRS, but if they don’t send it by then, it’s over. So why are you still thinking about protecting CP?
July 28, 2024 at 02:00
Hi Simon
I have booked my flight
Just as you advised I will arrive in the US July 31st
If I’m going to wait on something it will be waiting on paying the DOS fee, until 2nd of August but then I’m going through with AOS
I’ve never been under this much stress in my life to pack up and prepare documents and finances so fast.
The reason I was hoping for CP is because AOS will cost 10x times more including the lawyer fees and everything
Plus it’s more risky. I’m almost guaranteed a visa if I get an interview at JRS.
July 28, 2024 at 10:09
And if you get a JRS interview you might just have a short holiday in the USA.
The gamble might pay off, it might not. But at least you will know you did all you could do.
Best of luck. Keep me informed.
July 26, 2024 at 11:29
Hello Brit
Baghdad Embassy have sent 2nl to Case Numbers (15k to 19k) for September interviews. Is it possible to send the 2nl for the rest (20k to 27k) ? Can 2nls be sent in two different periods of the same month?
July 26, 2024 at 15:18
Most of the time the interviews for an embassy are sent out as a batch for one embassy. Sometimes, but rarely, they send another batch in the same month. That is your only hope.
July 26, 2024 at 10:55
Hello, Sir! My case number is EU35xxx, so it’s current now. However, I did not receive 2nl. Can I change my interview location to another country. Is it possible, if yes, what should I do? And if I change my interview location, is it possible that they could send me 2nl? Thanks in advance!
July 26, 2024 at 14:58
It is too late to change.
July 26, 2024 at 09:42
Hi Sir, winner 2024SA4XXX here. My embassy (BLZ) has not done any interviews as of the July 20, 2024 CEAC data. Since your SA projection stands at 2200-3750, would you recommend I fly to USA and do an adjustment of status a.k.a ‘hail Mary’?
July 26, 2024 at 10:32
Well Belize obviously isn’t going to take your case, so you need to do something!!!
July 26, 2024 at 08:19
Hi Birtsimon,
Received 2nl for Tokyo post, AS160xx. I have 2 questions regarding the following message from Tokyo embassy.
———
We have received your case from KCC.
This is to notify you that your DS260 online application has expired/will expire before your scheduled interview. (It is valid for one year after submission and must be valid at interview.) Please access the form online and update to submit as soon as possible before scheduling a medical appointment with our designated hospital.
———
#1 In this situation, do you reckon updating and submitting the DS-260 AFTER making the medical appointment is likely to cause any complication? I had already made the appointment at the time I noticed this email from the embassy. I already submitted the updated DS-260 (corrected the high school name& attendance date to match the certificate) and plan to call the hospital next Monday to let them know the situation.
#2 As the case is already handed to the embassy, is the embassy going to “process” the updated DS-260? I’m a bit worried if it’s KCC, as KCC maybe super busy processing DS-260s for DV2025.
Cheers!

1. No
2. No need to worry if you have the 2NL
July 26, 2024 at 06:25
Hello, BritSimon! Who is responsible for scheduling an interview for dv lottery applicants? Does the KCC responsible for that or the Embassy of your country? Thanks in advance!
July 26, 2024 at 10:27
KCC
July 26, 2024 at 04:35
Hi Brit….
Please after entering the US with my kids and after getting our green card and i want to send them back to my country for them to stay there for like 5years, would there be a problem?
July 26, 2024 at 06:01
Of course yes
They will lose the green card
July 26, 2024 at 10:26
Yes, that would cause them to lose their status.
July 26, 2024 at 04:30
Hi Brits. You have been very helpful in this journey. Many thanks.
I am case number AF 50k DRS. Do you think they will send 2nls for September?
Do i have a chance?
July 26, 2024 at 10:25
I really don’t know.
July 26, 2024 at 04:30
Hi Britt, I am from South Africa and have a 2024 DV interview scheduled. I am unsure if we should Apostille our documentation beforehand so that it is in order for the interview with the US Consulate or is this only necessary for when we arrive in the USA?
July 26, 2024 at 10:24
Read the instructions for your countries/embassy. If that is needed at all, it would be at the interview, not later.
July 26, 2024 at 03:47
Hi Simon,
I received my 2NL yesterday (EU 314xx)
As I read from other users, I thought that in the email I will also receive instructions on what should I take with me on the interview specifically. Some say that bank statements are required etc. But I only received a link.
It’s okay for me though, because everything is explained many times, I just wondered if some cases require extra paperwork and some not.
July 26, 2024 at 10:24
You should assume you will be asked about finances. You may or may not, but it was in the FAQ in the entry, so it shouldn’t be a surprise.
If you have substantial savings, that may suffice. Otherwise an I-34 is wise.
July 31, 2024 at 05:04
Hi Simon,
Have you ever heard of anyone losing a case solely due to the lack of an I-134 form? I’ve read about one or two cases where I believe they were delayed and potentially lost their chance specifically due to the absence of an I-134, but I suspect it was because they also didn’t provide other financial proof, like job offers or bank statements. Even so, If the main concern is becoming a public charge, why focus solely on the I-134? Isn’t it just one part of proving financial stability? I might be missing some context on the full stories, though.
I’m asking because I’m planning to rely on bank statements, as I lack sponsors. I understand that concerns about public charge status are assessed on a case-by-case basis, but generally, do you think a CO might look favorably upon a bank statement showing around $10,000? Would you consider that a reasonable amount in 2024, or is it risky without an I-134?
July 31, 2024 at 12:11
COs would normally tell the selectee that they require the I-134, and put the case in 221g until that is supplied. If the Sept 30 deadline comes before the case is cleared, then the case will have lost the chance. So yes, it has happened.
An I-134 is only one of several ways to satisfy public charge (as described in the article on the subject on this blog).
$10K might be OK. An I-134 reduces the risk.

Hi brit😊
One question about Frankfurt Embassy:
if they took 19 asian cases and only 4 European cases does that mean that they got preferred cause Asia got lower case numbers than EU?
i always thought Asian, Europe and Asia were looked at seperated?
July 26, 2024 at 10:22
AV queues control the order. In a sworn affidavit, KCC said that the AV queue was built by case number (which is observed and correct) and alphabetically by region (which does not always seem to be true). But it does mean that their will be “veins” of cases within a region.
July 26, 2024 at 12:04
Hey Simon,
I’m wondering why the AV queue dint function that way for my OC case 2024OC192X in the Mumbai embassy. Really sad about this. 🙁
July 26, 2024 at 15:21
I’m sure it did. But OC has a natural (alphabetical) disadvantage in the way AV queues are formed. When we have the data I will be able to explain more explicitly.
July 27, 2024 at 07:49
Thank you Simon,
That would be of great help.
Also Simon, do I have an option to change the embassy to Sydney.
Can you please let me know if that’s possible and how do I go about it? And do you think that’s good idea under my current circumstances.
Bless you Simon.
July 27, 2024 at 08:56
You could try contacting that embassy, but it might already be too late.
July 27, 2024 at 09:04
Sure Simon,
Should we follow instructions as per – https://britsimonsays.com/breaking-news-policy-change-for-changing-embassies/
Or should we follow the transfer of embassy protocol as per – https://britsimonsays.com/how-to-change-embassies/
Thanks Simon
A ray of hope now
July 27, 2024 at 09:10
The transfer only works when you already have the 2NL.
What you need to do is contact the SYD embassy and ask them.
July 27, 2024 at 09:11
They might just ignore you or immediately say “no”. This is a very faint ray – not much chance at all. I just want to be clear, because thousands of people would like to do the same and success stories are rare.
July 27, 2024 at 10:42
Can this rule be applicable for me, if we’re in Sydney?
9 FAM 504.4-8(C) (U) Third Country Processing for Applicants Abroad
We just booked the tickets to Sydney to be physically present in Sydney, and we have our home residence there.
July 27, 2024 at 11:15
The rule doesn’t guarantee an interview. JUST ASK THEM.
July 27, 2024 at 09:22
Thank you Simon,
1. Should we be contacting the Sydney Embassy for the request?
2. Should we follow this – https://britsimonsays.com/breaking-news-policy-change-for-changing-embassies/
3. Or should we follow Change embassy approach – https://britsimonsays.com/how-to-change-embassies/
Thanks for the ray of hope
July 27, 2024 at 10:36
Come on. I have said this twice. Now do a little thinking.
July 26, 2024 at 00:43
Hello !
I won dv 2024 , my case number is 2024AF72588. Until now I have not received 2L. My country of residence is Tanzania.
Is it possible to win this golden chance by getting interview
Thank you
July 26, 2024 at 01:01
DRS is very backlogged. I don’t see them getting to your case number. Your only chance would have been to move, but it is too late for that now.
July 25, 2024 at 23:54
Hello saimon
I’m winer dv 24 , c.n 22k , im already take it the visa and inter to US in 15 of June 2024, Chicago, i received my social security after one week from entry.
After two weeks from arrival to US , i checked my case by receipt number i found this statement ( the card is being produced) , after one month the USCIS send me letter by mail, appointments for fingerprint & photo for me , i went to that appointment and they only take photo for me , after that i checked my case i found this statement (Case Is Being Actively
Reviewed By USCIS) .
Now i have two months and 15 days from arrival to US.
My question : is there anything to do with USCIS, for my green card ? And what time approximately to receive my green card?
My friend is the same problem, he had 4 months from arrival to US, and did not receive his green card.
July 26, 2024 at 01:02
I don’t have any suggestions.
July 25, 2024 at 21:17
Hello Simon, is it finished for Nepal for 2024? Can we call the latest 2NL a wrap for this year? because those 2NLs have interview date in first week of sep. In previous year too there was interview only on first week. So whats your say on that?
July 25, 2024 at 22:07
OK – let’s recap where we are at.
2 days of 2NLs and we have around 2200 2NLs for September. It is likely not the end of scheduling, there are still some embassies yet to get any 2NLs for September. I hope we will see more to come tomorrow, and perhaps even next week. But of course, not at the weekend.
That is so far not enough to exhaust visas in September, although we have to wait until the scheduling is fully done to be sure.
I get lots of questions about “will XXXX embassy schedule more interviews”. I DON’T KNOW. I don’t know about any embassy – we really just have to wait and see. The only thing I would say is that the 2NLs look oddly sparse at some embassies whilst other embassies have taken many cases. So – could that mean we will see more 2NLs – your guess is literally as good as mine. Again, I don’t know! Just don’t bother asking me, please. And anyone who says they know for sure, is not wise enough to listen to.
Also I am getting questions about moving embassies. I think it is too late for that and in general you will be wasting your time trying – but you are all free to try whatever you want. No need to ask me about that.
July 25, 2024 at 20:29
Hi Simon
How people get information on other people’s 2nl? I tried looking for telegram groups but the only active one is Russian and xarthisius site only updates weekly right?
July 25, 2024 at 22:07
I get data more often.
July 25, 2024 at 16:49
Hello, Brit. My mom won the Green Card lottery for 2024, and her case number is 33,7k. She’s from Azerbaijan. Today, the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi (or KCCDV) sent interview invitations to several people, with the highest case number being 32,1k. The interviews are scheduled for September 3, 10, and 17. Since no interviews have been set for the last week of September 24th, do you think there’s still a chance for her to receive an interview invitation, or were these the last announcements?
July 25, 2024 at 18:09
To know that, I would need information from the staff at KCC and probably that embassy.
I don’t have either source.
July 26, 2024 at 00:48
Hello Brit
I was at the American Embassy in Djibouti for an interview on July 23. But unexpectedly, I was asked to fill out DS 5535 and the case was kept in the administrative process. In your view, will there be a chance of recovery in the remaining two months?
July 26, 2024 at 01:00
Yes
July 26, 2024 at 05:31
Thank you for the response
In my opinion, ds 5535 takes a long time to complete the process, so I am afraid that dv2024 will be completed and lost my chance.
July 26, 2024 at 10:26
For some it is very slow, for others it is fast. There is nothing you can do about it.
July 25, 2024 at 15:56
Hi Brit… Please how many days does it take to register appointment with the embassy?
July 25, 2024 at 16:26
Some people manage to make a mountain out of that molehill.
Just wait a week then try and register.
July 25, 2024 at 15:30
Hi Simon,
Hectic days, my number is 2024EU52xx (Bellow 6k) on the Montreal (MTL) Consulate with an Spouse, No 2NL yet. doing analysis on the xarthisius excellent site I see they have scheduled cases over the EU20k on the MTL consulate. Sent the DS260 on May 15th 23 and it was reopened on 28 Aug 23 for a change of address What is your take on the chances?. Thanks in advance.
July 25, 2024 at 16:25
MTL have taken cases today, possibly the last for the year.
Why have you left this so long before asking for input? I would have advised emailing KCC to check that your case isn’t assigned somewhere else by accident. In fact you should still email them (pointing out that you appear to have been “skipped”, but there is a high chance that it is too late to fix the problem.
July 25, 2024 at 16:33
I have been emailing them once a month after February getting the generic response that the case is scheduled based on numeric order and they have confirmed in 3 occasions that the Post is MTL. Have contacted the consulate directly which told me to contact KCC since they have not received the case. will send them another saying skipped explicitly.
