Hello brit, hope your morning is treating you well.
We have our visa but the applicant is unable to go to the U.S. at the moment, is it possible for the beneficiaries to go first then the applicant follows shortly after?
September 18, 2024 at 09:25
No. The principal winner must go *first*, or go *with* the beneficiaries.
September 18, 2024 at 11:49
If the marriage is arrange just for GC and want to go before the PA it is risky.
Some winners get used to that.

Hello Simon
I am a DV selectee, 2025AF23**
I emailed KCC inquiring the 2NL updates. their response was that my case is now current for interview processing. as your previous updates, this implies that i am ready to be scheduled. later i visited Kigali embassy website as it’s where my interview will be held, and there was a notice that If i have been notified that my Diversity Visa (DV) is ready for scheduling, i can follow the instructions to create an account online.
At this stage of my case, should i go ahead and create account?
September 18, 2024 at 09:23
No. You are ready to be scheduled, but you have NOT bee scheduled. You just wait for now.
September 18, 2024 at 03:12
Sir
How do you explain people who got approval( passport with still CO)since September 5th and until now status remains 221g refused on ceac.state.gov?
September 18, 2024 at 09:22
Those people have to hope their 221g is cleared before the program is stopped.
September 17, 2024 at 19:27
hello simon, hope you are doing good
Can you please let know when DV2026 application is starting?
September 17, 2024 at 20:00
Not announced yet, but it will be early October
September 17, 2024 at 08:08
Hello Simon
2024AS20K doing AOS
I’ve already told you my issue with the medical being lost.
I have a medical appointment booked for the 19th at 2:30PM
My plan now to get the medical on Thursday. The doctor will use the same blood results from my earlier medical, travel to Detroit, stay overnight and go in person to the field office at 8AM as soon as they open to avoid any mail delays and hand in the medical. Hopefully I get approved on Friday.
September 17, 2024 at 08:48
If possible contact the FO and let them know your plan, including the information that we have seen saying the program will end on the 23rd.
September 18, 2024 at 16:49
Update
I tried both email and phone number. I left a voice mail to the officer. I didn’t get any response.
I have a new sealed medical now. And tomorrow I’m going to the field office.
September 19, 2024 at 12:51
Great!

Hey Simon, I hope you’re doing well.
I am a DV selectee, 2025AF2***. As you previously guided us, I emailed KCC inquiring about updates on the 2NL. While they didn’t specify my interview date, they informed me that if I am scheduled for an interview, I will receive a notification via email. They also mentioned that, because my case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock my application.
What exactly does this imply?

“We had an interview in January and were requested to send the DS-5535 form and our CVs due to a 221(g) refusal. On August 29th, we received an email asking us to answer some additional questions and resubmit our CVs. We responded on the same day. The case status on the CEAC website was updated daily from September 3rd to September 6th, but there have been no further updates or emails since then. Is there a chance we could receive the clearance email this week?”
September 17, 2024 at 08:46
I have no information about your case.
September 17, 2024 at 01:32
Dear Simon, I just got my visa, thank you so much for all the guidance throughout the process. In the letter attached to the visa envelope, it says that I will receive my green card up to 120 days after entering the United States. I intend to visit the United States soon to activate the visa but will leave shortly after and will actually relocate at a later date. The letter says that in such case, I will need to consult some government agencies for documents I will need for re-entry. Will it be a big issue to leave the United States before getting the green card? Thanks
September 17, 2024 at 08:45
No big deal. They automatically endorse your immigrant visa at the POE and you use that for re-entry.
September 16, 2024 at 21:33
Hi Brit. My husband’s visa got refused because the records show that he applied for a visa in 1995 and was denied on fraud/misrepresentation is there any way to appeal this?
September 16, 2024 at 21:57
No. Even if there was an appeal process, it is too late, the process will close in a week or so.
September 17, 2024 at 19:20
Also, though possible in law, in practice true permanent bans for fraud/misrepresentation are very rare, and 1995 was a very very long time ago (was years before my birth and I’m now a college graduate).
So either your husband committed a very major fraud or this was not the only reason for denial (maybe he didn’t disclose it on his DS260?).
September 16, 2024 at 20:26
Hi Brit Simon
Am a AF DV2024 I arrived in the US 2 weeks ago today but I haven’t received the GC or the SSN which means I can’t do much. Is there a way for me to check the status. Can I get a SSN before GC.
September 16, 2024 at 21:59
Your SSN is the most important thing. You could go to the SSA office and ask them to provide the number that should have already been assigned to you.
September 16, 2024 at 16:06
Hello Brit, what are predictions for EU i’m 26xxx what is chances to be current ?
September 16, 2024 at 19:53
Too early to predict
September 16, 2024 at 15:05
Hi Brit!
I hope you are well!
I will ask a couple of questions. Hope you will find time to answer them:
First, I live in Tallinn and I had specified my desired interview location as Tallinn Embassy but I got invited to the interview in Stockholm Embassy. Is this a normal situation? Second, in my DS-260 form I had clearly stated that my wife is my co-applicant, however she did not get separate invitation for the interview. Is she supposed to come with me for the interview on the same day? My last question is about Affidavit of Support. As of now I do not own any assets in the US an I have not got a job offer from the US either. I am planning to start applying for jobs soon. And I do not have anyone who can sponsor and fill I-134 for me. I am an experienced Data Analyst, so I believe finding a job should not be difficult for me once I have a residence permit from the US. Can I still convince the consular officer that I can easily get a job or finding a sponsor is unavoidable?
September 16, 2024 at 19:53
1. Yes normal.
2. Normal, one interview.
3. An i134 would be best unless you have sufficient savings of around $10k per person
September 16, 2024 at 11:46
Hi Britsmon,
1. I only entered my thirtiary educational information (University degree and Postagraduate only) and didnt incorporate secondary education (12 year education) on DS 260 since application details says list secondary or thirtiary educaion only.
2.I didnt incorporate Postal codes of my home,Universities and workplace and Selected does not apply since we are not readily using that but they are available.
My Number is 2025AS12*** do I need to request unlock DS 260 for me.
Thank You
September 16, 2024 at 12:02
1. I would unlock to correct that and include history of secondary education from age 11 or 12.
2. Correct that while you have the form open.
September 18, 2024 at 13:08
Hi Britson,
It worked for me.They have unlocked that within less than 48 hours.Your instruction worked pretty well. Thanks a lot I reworked and submitted just a while ago
The mail I received just attached for someone’s benefit.Hope this would not delay or deprive the chance to go for USA of mine.
“”
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your request to unlock the DS-260(s) you indicated is now complete. Unlocked DS-260’s can be edited on the Consular Electronic Application Center website. You may now make any necessary changes. Please note that unlocked DS-260s should be resubmitted as soon as the necessary changes are made. Hey there, I had my interview for DV visa on September 12 in Djibouti, and they told me my case will be under AP and I have to wait until they contact me. When I checked my visa status is still showing Ready for interview. I don’t understand why, and for how long have to wait until they contact me? Since there is no time to wait because of visa is about to run out, should I send them an email or call the embassy?
September 16, 2024 at 04:30
Did they tell you the reason for putting you on AP or was there any request for additional document?
September 16, 2024 at 07:19
No they didn’t, they said there is a technical issue with their system, they were about to approve my case but at the last minute they said AP without any requests.
September 16, 2024 at 09:23
Just wait.
September 16, 2024 at 19:24
Hi Brit! DV-25 winner, Asia 168XX**. Interview post – Islamabad,Pakistan . I’ve read that they are pretty slow in scheduling and processing. Do you know anything about that? Should I try to transfer my case to another place? Thanks!
September 16, 2024 at 19:54
They have mixed performances. Too early to be sure how they will.perform this year
September 16, 2024 at 09:22
You can email them if you like, but this time isn’t very long.
September 15, 2024 at 11:57
Hello Simon, I had one confusion. If the visa is supposed to be expired in 6 months from medical test, Suppose a person moves to the US in say 5 months and 15 day, Now if he dont get green card in 15 day, what will happen to him? I mean you cannot stay beyond the visa expiry date. Is the case for DV different or what is it?
September 15, 2024 at 12:14
The visa expiry date is important for the first entry. At that point, the person becomes an LPR, and no longer relies on the visa, although the visa is endorsed to serve of proof of status until the GC arrives.
September 14, 2024 at 16:37
Hi BritSimon,
The USA address which had to receive my green card has changed just last week. I have been issued with the DV24 visa.
Can i change the address at port of entry?
September 14, 2024 at 17:33
Yes
September 14, 2024 at 15:40
Hello Simon, thank you again for all the support in this stressful long road!
I wrote to kccdv to ask about my ds260, my number isn’t current but I’ve filled and sent it the 12th of may.
The answer was:
Thank you for your inquiry.
“Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing“
It’s been 4 months since I send it, I thought the cases are processed in chronological order of ds260, independently the case number.
Shound I worry about it?
When should I rewrite to them for any update?
Thank you
Kind regards
September 14, 2024 at 17:36
You have previously told me that your case is 2025EU19XXX. That won’t be current for months, so no need to worry. You can’t be scheduled until you are current anyway. Ask them again in December.
September 15, 2024 at 01:40
Perfect, Thank you!
I just heard DSs are processed independently of your case number.
I am about to starting a new part time job it’s like 2 days/month ( to have some money extra) should I update my DS? I will sign another contract but the society is the same where I already work.
September 15, 2024 at 08:00
No need to update the DS260 unless you unlock it for some other correction.
September 14, 2024 at 12:30
Hi Simon,
my CN is EU13xxx. After some re-openings and changes on my DS260 I eventually submitted in early June. Which month will you consider to get interview date? Frankfurt embassy.
All the best
September 14, 2024 at 17:32
I don’t know exactly – probably early 2025.
September 14, 2024 at 11:05
Hi Brit! DV-25 winner, EU58**. Interview post – Jerusalem. I’ve read that they are pretty slow in scheduling and processing. Do you know anything about that? Should I try to transfer my case to another place? Thanks!
September 14, 2024 at 17:27
You have a low case number, so its probably not a problem.
September 14, 2024 at 09:01
Hello brit! Hope your morning is going well.
I just received my visa from the U.S embassy and we are planning to go around November – December. However I have my grandma with me who is a permanent U.S resident but she broke her limit of staying out of the U.S for 6 months a time and has been with us in Saudi for 4 years. Are we able to book her a ticket and take her with us to the U.S or will there be issues at immigration? Thanks very much.
September 14, 2024 at 09:50
She will probably have issues and it would be very stressful for an older person. She should contact the embassy and apply for an SB1 visa (returning resident).
September 14, 2024 at 08:28
Hello Britt, I have a theory about the DV2025 2NLs for October; I might be wrong but most embassies have annouced that they are changing to a new visa service provider and the way you sign up into their system. I beleive they are waiting for that to happen on September 23rd to send all the October´s 2NLs
September 14, 2024 at 09:49
No – wrong theory. I had already explained this was a global technical issue, nothing to do with the system change that is affecting a some embassies. KCC have now sent some people confirmation that there is a technical issue, and they expect the 2NLs to go out this week.
September 14, 2024 at 07:19
Greetings !
Can I change my planned address of residence in the USA after the interview?
Thanks in advance!
September 14, 2024 at 09:45
Yes. But for the delivery of the greencard you may need to update the DS260
September 14, 2024 at 17:16
So after interview I can still update my DS260, with new address?
September 15, 2024 at 18:47
No, you update your address in the MyUSCIS account that you create before your first entry (using the numbers provided on the envelope you receive with your visa).
You use that account to pay your GC fee and update the address.
At the port of entry, verify with CBP that the address has been updated AND that they have the apt number if it is an apartment complex (for some reasons their system seems to not export the apt numbers from the addresses entered on the DS260 or MyUSCIS).
September 14, 2024 at 06:02
Hello Brit
I am a DV2025 winner and I am current according to the visa bulletin. I am concerned that I don’t have covid vaccination certificate because I had not taken it. So does it affect on the medical process ? Shall I wait until the 2nl sent to make medical appointment or should I take a step now? To take the vaccination?
September 14, 2024 at 09:45
Read this
https://britsimonsays.com/visa-bulletin-for-november-2024-interviews-published/
If the covid vaccine is available in your country you will be expected to have it.
September 14, 2024 at 04:37
An interview date has already been set for my case at the Addis Ababa Embassy, reference number 2025AF400. I have a couple of questions:
1. Although there is exactly one month left, I have not yet received my second notification letter (2NL). Is it possible for me to schedule an appointment at the embassy without the 2NL?
2. Can I go ahead with the medical examination? Is this a standard procedure?

Hi Simon,
Maybe a bit over thinking, but if I had a booster vaccination (covid) in July and had my x-ray in August, what is the latest to enter the U.S.? (July + 6 months or August + 6 months?
I mean does the booster time effect the medical or only the x-ray is “important”? Will they check both at the border?
Thank you
September 14, 2024 at 09:42
They only look at the expiry date on the visa which is the medical date plus 6 months. JUST THAT.
September 14, 2024 at 02:23
Hi Simon,
Our case number is 2025SA***400, which means our case is current. I know our DS-260 has been processed and KCC told us that our appointment is in early October (they specified a date but not time). However, we have not received 2NLs. What should we do? Should we still show up to our interview on the date they told us to even though we don’t receive a 2NL? Our embassy is Bridgetown, Barbados.
September 14, 2024 at 09:42
Yes you should take the interview, book the medical and so on. You can ask the embassy what time they expect you. Also, you may get the actual 2NL this coming week, but regardless of that, get ready to attend the appointment.
September 13, 2024 at 23:51
Dear Mr Simon,
Thank you for the helpful information you provide.
We are DV winner 2024AF82XXX, we had an interview on the 12th of September, The consular officer asks one additional document, and we need 5 days to be able to provide it.
Based on your knowledge of the diversity visa, do you think that all the 2024 visas will issued before September 30th?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Best regards
September 14, 2024 at 00:35
I can’t be certain. We are over 50,000 now.
September 14, 2024 at 13:04
Dear Simon, how can you check the visa numbers daily ?
xarthisius Website is only updated weekly.
September 14, 2024 at 17:33
That is a closely guarded secret. 😉
September 13, 2024 at 19:02
Hi Simon
I’m doing AOS 2024AS20K
I’ve told you about my problem with the medical being lost in the system.
Today I saw the numbers for the visas and they are at 49700
I can get a new medical on the 19th, have it arrive at the field office on the 20th and have the officer pick it up on Monday the 23rd then get approved.
Do you believe that the visas will last until then ? Will there be enough visas?
Because this week was at least a 3200 jump in the visa numbers
September 14, 2024 at 00:34
I can’t predict exactly when the visas might run out.
September 13, 2024 at 18:42
Hi Brit Simon:
We have two numbers in Cuba under 5000 from the latest Visa Bulletin for the SA region, but we have not yet received 2NL. The days are ending. Could we still get our appoinments?
September 14, 2024 at 00:33
Not if they are DV2024 cases. Scheduling is finished.
September 13, 2024 at 17:15
Hey simon
I asked you before for a fund of 20$k deposit at newly opened US bank account for the new comers and it is my car’s money that I have sold.
If my home country bank statement shows like 20k$ and have it with me and wanting to deposit that other 20k$ (my car’s money) in the US bank account , then is it possible? I will mange to bring the 20k$ in but does that big deposit needs explanation in the US bank if I have not withdrawn my home bank ? I can show them my car’s selling letter that I have got the fund from.
Can you plz assist me to figure this out? As I have not had experience with US bank account yet.
Another Q is can I switch crypto to $ to the US bank account in such amounts or the US bank questions the source again ?
My main aim is to transfer that 20k$ cash to my US account and my home country banking service is tired and cutting lot of it if they do it for you.
Lot of respect.
September 14, 2024 at 00:32
That amount isn’t that large – it isn’t problem.
September 13, 2024 at 16:19
Simon , I’ve tried to email you but found the only way how to send a letter -here, I’ve sent a previous request about the last name, please respond privately to my email address XXXdeletedXXX, do not publish this on the blog.
Thank you!

Hi Simon,
I was born in the eligible country to apply for DV lottery- Ukraine.
I have a birth certificate.
My Ukrainian international passport has my maiden name. The passport expires in 2026.
I got married in Canada and changed my last name. Currently I have my husband’s last name.
The Canadian passport expires in 2031.
I know there is no need to use passport to apply… anyway, I will need it later.
But what last name should I use to apply? I am a bit stressed to make everything correct.
Please let me know.
Thank you!
September 14, 2024 at 00:31
Your legal name.
September 13, 2024 at 14:43
Hello Brit!
First of all, thank you for the videos and all the information. I’m writing to you because I need an advice. The thing is that I was selected in DV24, but my case number was high (EU52940), and I haven’t been scheduled, and lost my chance this year. The fact is, that I am Hungarian, so my nationality is Hungarian, but I was born in the neighbor country, Serbia. I have both Hungarian and Serbian citizenships, and I moved to Hungary. When I entered the DV24 I wrote Serbia as my country of birth of course, but for the eligibility I wrote Hungary ’cause I live here, and I gave my Hungarian address for mailing address, also answered Hungary for the 9th question ,,Country where you live today,,. I was selected, but could this have affected the case number I’ve got, or is it random too? If you have any advice I’m grateful.
Thanks, Laslo Balint
September 14, 2024 at 00:30
The number assignment is completely random.
September 13, 2024 at 14:34
Hi Brit…
My ceac status showed latest update today the 13th but my status still remains ready… What could possibly be happening? Or what could be the reason why the date changes? It’s the second time the date is changing but the status remains the same
September 14, 2024 at 00:29
That happens. Just be patient.
September 13, 2024 at 13:12
Hi Brit
Please confirm. For DV2025. Can KCC provide the VISAs for October and November without sending the 2NL?
This is for those who will complete other processes, including the interview with the consulate successfully.
September 14, 2024 at 00:29
Yes
September 13, 2024 at 11:51
Hi Simon,
While I wasn’t surprised too much to see the CNs did not progress from October to November, your blog post about the KCC hitting the pause button because of the glitch got me thinking. Does that mean we will likely see a high jump in CNs in the upcoming months?
September 14, 2024 at 00:29
I wouldn’t try and predict too much based on the little we know.
September 13, 2024 at 07:52
Hi Brit, do they keep records of previous dv entries. The first time i entered I didn’t add my derivatives as I wasn’t fully aware of the rules. Do you think this can affect one from being selected in future.?
September 14, 2024 at 00:28
Yes they keep the records, but as long as the winning entry was honest there should not be a problem.
September 13, 2024 at 02:47
Panic !
In case of administration shutdown – could we be affected ?
September 14, 2024 at 00:27
No
September 13, 2024 at 02:34
Hello Simon,
I am a DV 25 winner. In the DS260 I said that I want a SSN to be issued to me. Will this SSN arrive in the same package as the GC to the host adress? Or will I get it before? Because I heard it can take a few months for that package to arrive and I wanted to move and work asap.
Thank you in advance
N
September 13, 2024 at 19:31
The SSN is sent by a different agency – usually in about 3 weeks.
September 12, 2024 at 14:16
Hi Simon,
How soon it becomes legal for me to work in the United States after getting a visa from dv?
Thanks
September 12, 2024 at 18:52
2 minutes.
The only limitation might be the SSN which generally takes 2 to 3 weeks to arrive.
September 14, 2024 at 12:01
The SSN is sent to the address of the relative I provided on the application, same as the green card? Also, does the green card arrive with a messenger and delivered by hand to the relative, or does it need to be collected by him from someplace near where he lives? Thanks
September 14, 2024 at 17:32
Same address will be used. They deliver by regular mail.
September 12, 2024 at 12:56
Greeting Simon and thank you for the great job you have been doing . I am winner of the Dv2025AF*****. I have had normal primary and secondary education upon the certification exam called CAP (and equivalent of at least 4years , in the Cameroon system of education ) . However circumstances couldn’t permit continuation to earn a high school diploma .
So later I enrolled in a vocational training institute and completed a two years course in hair beautician and aesthetics which since then . I also traveled around April to UAE for same job before the publication of the Dv2025 result .
My question is
1)will I have a chance with this training background and work experience considering the criteria for qualification ?
2) what would be the necessary justification to proof my work experience
3) my interview in Yaounde will I also be needing a police clearance here from the UAE given that I have been here. Since April.
Thank you in advance
September 12, 2024 at 18:51
Sadly, you will not be able to meet the qualification through education or work experience. You should not waste your time and money as you cannot be approved.

Hi,
would you please explain to me the following email that I’ve received from KCC when I’ve asked about the status of my DS 260?
“Records indicate you have submitted a complete and valid DS-260 application for each family member to the Kentucky Consular Center”

Yes it means that you are processed, but not current. What is your region/case number?

Hi Brit,
It’s been 8days since I had my interview but my ceac status hasn’t changed from ready.should I email the embassy and asked about my status??

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
My CN is 8K (dv 2025) and I’m from Algeria.
What do you mean by “not Current” I’m not that much familiar with all the dv process.
Can I expect an interview soon?
Many thanks again for your help
Best regards

You have to wait. For Aleria the numbers eligible for interview (those that are current) are under 6500. So you will wait another month or two.

Hi Simon,
I hope this message finds you well. I am a Palestinian citizen and the winner of the DV2024 lottery. My birthplace is Palestine, and I hold a temporary Jordanian passport. Upon reviewing my visa, I noticed that my nationality was correctly printed as “Palestine,” but my birthplace was printed as “Jordan.”
Could you please confirm if this is correct, or if there is a need to reprint the visa with the birthplace listed as “Palestine”? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in clarifying this matter.
Thank you

are chargeable respectively to Israel Jordan Syria and Egypt. Persons born in the Gaza Strip
are chargeable to Egypt; persons born in the West Bank are chargeable to Jordan; persons
born in the Golan Heights are chargeable to Syria.”

Hi Simon.
I am the winner of DV 2024 and I have an interview scheduled in Warsaw in a week. Recently, my wife and I had a baby and we changed our mind about moving to the USA. How can I correctly issue a refusal? I’ve read about the I-407 form, but I don’t know if it’s suitable for my case.
I want our submitted DS-260 not to affect the receipt of nonimmigrant visas in future.
Thank you in advance
September 12, 2024 at 18:44
You can let the embassy know you won’t attend the interview, or just not attend.
The DS260 cannot be withdrawn, and may affect future NIVs
September 13, 2024 at 04:05
You don’t have to tell them, it’s too late for them to reallocate your slot anyway.
But it seems like you really had a desire to move to the US and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I would feel bad not to tell you to really really think about it twice. I’m not encouraging you to do anything but just beware that you got extremely lucky to win the lottery and then extremely lucky again to get an appointment in Warsaw before the end of fiscal year, and the opportunity will lost if you don’t attend.
The DS260 might indeed affect future NIV applications (and probably more so because you’re not in the richest countries of EU like say France or Germany).
So you probably have good reasons to have changed your mind, but just make sure you are absolutely certain and understand all the consequences.

Hi Brit,I am from Africa (case 14k).I just noticed that I only add the Instagram and Twitter accounts as I did not add my Facebook account which I lastly used in 2019.My case number is current in the VB.Do you suggest that I unlock my DS 260 to put my Facebook Account?
September 12, 2024 at 18:43
No.
September 12, 2024 at 02:49
hey Brit (AS 2025 16xxx)
you said GC is sent to host address in a live where someone asked to changed it on the port entry, but isn’t GC sent to receiving address? (there are two addresses mentioned in ds-260, one for host and one for receiving the GC, I didn’t put them the same). should I be worried and unlock ds-260 to change the host address since it has changed? (my GC address is the same)

If you used the GC mailing address then that will be used – but few people think that far ahead.

Hi Simon, 2 Qs please (AS2025 16xxx)
1) after arriving at the US, what is the approximate time of receiving the green card to the address mentioned in ds-260?
2) can some relative/friend pick it, or it should be handled to principal by hand?
3) Is there a minimum length to stay at the US after getting the green card? I mean can I get back to my residential country for some time first before moving to US permanently?
thanks
September 12, 2024 at 18:37
1. 1 to 4 months typically
2. It must be delivered to the residential address you list in the DS260
3. No minimum time.
September 15, 2024 at 01:34
Thanks Brit
for Q2: yes of course the address I listed in DS260, but I ask if the principal should be there to receive it by hand, or it would be just dropped in the address by a courier and any resident can receive it?
September 15, 2024 at 07:59
That is why I said by regular mail. It will simply be left at the address just like any other mail.

Hello Brit, put on 221g last month because the consular had not received my school certificate from the authority. At this last month, what is the probability of being approved in Nairobi embassy
September 12, 2024 at 18:36
I have no way to know that.
September 12, 2024 at 00:53
Hey Simon,
I hope you’re doing well. After reading your article on your website, a question came to mind. Let’s say my case number is DV2025EU500, and I asked KCC about my case status. They replied with my interview date as October 10th. What will happen if the 2NL does not arrive by October 10th? Will the consulate know that this case number has an interview scheduled for October 10th if the 2NL email has not been received?
September 12, 2024 at 01:43
I believe the embassies know. But you can contact them and ask.

During the DV Lottery, I applied incorrectly the first time as ‘married with children,’ then the next time as ‘single with no children,’ and the third time as ‘married with children’ again, even though I was always married. Some years, I couldn’t provide family photos, which is why I applied incorrectly. For the remaining years, I corrected my information, but it has been almost 10 years, and I have not won yet. If I win and go to the interview, will the consular officer detect these inconsistencies from past applications and deny my visa, or will they not mind as long as everything is correct in the current year’s application and approve my visa? Could I have been banned or disqualified because of the incorrect information in previous applications, and is this why I haven’t won in 10 years?
September 12, 2024 at 01:42
They do have the history, but if your entry is correct, that won’t normally be a problem.
September 17, 2024 at 20:32
Sir,
My friend who is presently at Dakar told some relatives got approve by the CO since the September 5th and their passport is still with embassy, but they checked ceac.state.gov and until now it remains 221g refused nit AP
Is it normal?
September 18, 2024 at 00:14
It can be.
