Greeting Mr Simon
Hope all is well.
I attended two institutions during the time of my high school, The first school, from elementary to junior high 9th grade. And the second school from 9th to 12th grade. As for my second institution, I obtained high school Diploma and successfully passed the West African Examinations Council ( WAEC) test and also obtained the Certificate. But for my first institution (elementary to junior high) beside the yearly report cards, there was no other documents issue from them. What documents do I need from the first school? Or what might likely be ask for as an evidence during the time of the interview?
Thanks.

As I don’t know what you have, or what you can get in your country, I suggest you use your own judgement.

Hello Brit , hope you are doing ok,
I have been recently stuck with setting up the courier service for my appointment at the Paris embassy next week . i have since submitted a ticket and I received the following response
this is my original message
I received a letter from the DV Lottery check site confirming my interview on February 5, 2025. The U.S. Embassy Paris requires appointment confirmation via the AVITS site. I need guidance on confirming my appointment. I will add relevant files.
this is the customer support’s response
“Thank you for contacting the U.S. Visa and American Citizens Support Service. We understand that you’re having issue validating your case id. We do apologize for the inconvenience. This is because NVC (National Visa Center) has not yet transmitted the case data to us. Once we receive the electronic data from NVC (National Visa Center), you’ll get an automated notification from [email protected]. This will prompt you to log in to your profile, validate your case ID, and confirm your appointment. Please visit http://www.usvisaappt.com for further details. Best Regards, U.S. Visa and American Citizens Support Service”
i havent received any notification or appointment to confirm to this day .
should i contact the NVC ? do you have any suggestions ?
Thanks A LOT !
January 29, 2025 at 12:16
No. Just attend the interview as scheduled and hopefully it will be fixed by then.
January 29, 2025 at 04:55
Greeting Brit,
Hope you are doing great today.
Please, as I said previously to you, my highest level of education is High School. And I attended In total of three(3) institutions before graduating from high school. Do I need to mention all these three(3) institutions and all those length of time I was in each of those school on the Ds 260? Here are how I attended the three institutions:
1. From my kindergarten to 4th grade 2008( first institution)
2. From 4th to 9th grades 2008 – 2013 (second institution)
3. From 9th to 12th grades 2013-2017 (third institution)
Do I need to mention all these three institutions on my DS 260 and obtain transcripts from each of them? Kindly assist me, I am a bit confused. I have already asked KCC to unlock my case so I want to get everything rightful done. Please Sir🙏
January 29, 2025 at 08:50
Probably just the second and third.
January 29, 2025 at 09:32
Alright, thanks Sir.
January 28, 2025 at 20:39
Hi BritSimon
Thank you for you good work of education us on DV Lottery.
I am a 2025 winner
My question is my Visa Wwas approved and i managed to travel to the US. I am not married and thus i applied and went through the process as single. However, i was in a relation that are led to a child being born after i have already migrated to the United States. How do i had the child born after i already entered the united states ?
January 29, 2025 at 08:42
If you want to bring the child and the mother, you will need to marry the mother and sponsor them via family based process.
January 28, 2025 at 15:39
Hello Simon i’m kinda new to this and my main language is not english but i hope that you can give me a solution and understand me, the thing is that my dad won the visa lottery of 2025 and his case number is around SA16xx, the thing is that the current number in the visa bulletin of january is 1750 and he havent received the mail for the interview or the next step, do we have to keep waitng or should contact KCC?
January 28, 2025 at 16:02
You can do either. Wait or contact KCC.
January 28, 2025 at 15:08
Hi Simon,
Thank you for all you do.
My case number is just below OC2100.
I just got married, but it will take a few weeks for my physical marriage certificate to arrive in the mail. I have the statement of marriage from the day, but it is not a legal document.
Is it best to email KCC now and ask them to unlock my DS-260, or is it best to wait until I have the marriage certificate scanned to send to them, even though there is a chance that within that time my interview could be announced?
To clarify, I am completely married now, I am just awaiting the documents.
Thank you!
January 28, 2025 at 15:34
First. You can normally ask to unlock and add your spouse without providing the marriage cert.
Second, because of your case number, there is zero chance that you would be scheduled for interview within “a few weeks”.
Third, your case number is high enough that there is a chance that you will not ever get an interview, and if you do, it would be August or September (meaning a 2NL in June or July).
January 28, 2025 at 23:39
Thank you Simon! I am currently living in Canada, and I have an offer of a J1 visa that I could pursue now but it would take a few months to go through. I am trying to decide if it would be better to initiate that process with the J1 visa now, and add my spouse on it, or sit and wait in Canada for to potentially get a 2NL.
I am currently registered to have the interview in Montreal however I live in Vancouver. If I leave the J1 visa for now, and wait (potentially) for the 2NL, I am wondering if there is any benefit leaving the interview location as Montreal (since that is what was automatically assigned) or if there is no harm in changing it to Vancouver.
Thank you for your input!
January 29, 2025 at 08:49
The second question is easier, so let me start there.
Vancouver don’t take DV cases, so you cannot switch to there.
For the J1 it is really up to you. I normally tell people to “live their lives” as normal. In your case you have a chance that you will not become eligible for interview for DV, so that would suggest not putting your life on hold for the sake of the DV process. Just be sure you don’t have a 2 year home residency requirement for the J1.
January 29, 2025 at 16:35
We are so happy in Canada for the moment so hesitant to take the J1 option unless it helps our chances/would be quicker to do AOS since our case number is right on the cut off. If it would help our DV chances, then definitely we should do it but otherwise happy to stay put for the time being.
The other thing is I am also am aware of questions about intent to stay in the US for the J1.
Thank you again!
January 28, 2025 at 14:24
Hi Mr Simon
Hope you are doing great.
Please, I am kindly asking for your assistance towards these questions Sir.
1. How do I go about aking KCC to unlock my case? Or how should this request be written?
2. Will I be aware before or after KCC unlock my case?
3. If KCC is to unlock my case for correction, and thereafter I am done, do I need a new confirmation page instead of the previous one?
January 28, 2025 at 14:48
1. https://britsimonsays.com/communicating-kcc/
2. They will email you.
3. Doesn’t matter either way – you can decide.
January 28, 2025 at 15:33
Thanks Mr Simon. I do appreciate you a lot
January 28, 2025 at 12:41
Hi
“My case number is 21,000 from Asia, and my file has not been processed yet, even though processing has already reached 29,000 in Asia. I completed my DS form in May 2024 and reopened and closed it again in the same month. Recently, I updated some of my social media accounts, created a new email address, and opened another Twitter account different from my old one. Could these updates be causing delays in processing my case? Additionally, in my DS form, I indicated that I do not have a vaccination card and added a comment stating: ‘I have received the vaccinations, but the card was lost.’ Do you recommend that I reopen the file to update the social media details and provide additional information about the vaccination records?”
January 28, 2025 at 14:32
No need to unlock. Also no need to worry about when your DS260 is processed. You won’t be current for MONTHS.
January 28, 2025 at 06:10
Hi Simon,
I understand that for VB progression the main determinant is consular capacity. Does this mean the higher the number of cases in Ready status the slower the visa bulletin progresses? Is this true even if the number of Issued is low, but the number of Ready is high? So I’m thinking number of “Ready” cases is the best proxy indicating how busy the embassies are (I’m calling it a proxy, rather than a direct determinant as consular capacity is a random variable that affects the VB progression). Given the number of issued cases is not set in stone (they have gone over and severely under the cap before), number of issued cases determines when the program ends rather than what the next visa bulletin will be. By this logic, can we say that a decrease in number of Ready cases, independent of the number Issued, is bearing the news of a higher VB progression? Thanks!
January 28, 2025 at 10:05
No.
Ready cases are those that were scheduled in previous months. The number of ready cases will grow steadily through the year because of no shows.
But because they reflect capacity in previous months, those cases are not a good signal for capacity in future months. Embassies set their capacity on a month to month basis.
January 28, 2025 at 04:43
Hello Simon,
I hope you’re doing well! I asked about my case (EU34K, Yerevan embassy) and the probabilities of consular processing versus AOS during your last live session (25 Jan, 24:40 in the video). Thank you for your response! However, I now have a few follow-up questions:
1. Is early filing for AOS currently disabled?
2. Is entering the US before the case number becomes current mandatory to avoid complications during AOS, especially if conditional options are communicated to the immigration officer upon entry?
3. If entering the US after the case number becomes current weakens our position for AOS, can the principal applicant enter before the case number becomes current, and the rest of the family join her afterward?
Thank you for your guidance, and I appreciate your time and expertise!
January 28, 2025 at 10:02
1. No, but the early filing policy still requires your number to have been “released” by the visa bulletin.
2. You have to be very careful about entering on a non immigrant visa with a plan to adjust status. I suggest you would do that in coordination with a good immigration attorney.
3. Yes, or try a follow to join process (I-824)
January 28, 2025 at 04:25
Hi Brit, I am CN 28K, my host is seemingly refusing to host me and I’ve already submitted my DS 260 with his details, can I still change the host bearing in mind that i can go current in the next VB?
January 28, 2025 at 09:59
Yes, you can change that at the interview.
January 28, 2025 at 02:11
Dear Simon,
I just noticed that on my DS 260 i stated that i attended 3 educational institutions because i have masters
I didn’t add my junior high senior to make it 4
My interview is approaching. How do i rectify that?
I am taking the certificate along though
Please advise ?
January 28, 2025 at 09:58
At this point, don’t correct the DS260, just go to the interview with the additional documentation.
January 27, 2025 at 20:46
Simon hello again, I’ve selected an option of “high school degree” as my highest level of education completed. But below the DS form, I’ve mentioned I’ll be graduating high school in July. As I haven’t completed my high school as of today, do I need to unlock the form and select “high school, no degree.” or I can proceed for my interview on March? (I’m okay with being on 221g until I provide high school diploma to the embassy)
January 28, 2025 at 09:57
No need to unlock.
January 27, 2025 at 12:39
Hi Brit, I am from Yerevan. How risky is EU26xxx? It’s really close to your forecast of risky ranges.
January 27, 2025 at 17:33
You answered your own question.
January 27, 2025 at 12:23
Hello boss how are you I hope everything is fine I send email to KCC case nu 2025AF11xxx Freetown embassy and this is the reply the gave me so boss what is your takes
Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. If you are scheduled for an interview date, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.
January 27, 2025 at 17:33
You have no reason to worry. Relax and be patient.
January 27, 2025 at 11:53
Hi Simon,
After receiving my 2NL, I went to check some details on my local embassy in the DV page. (Paris)
They “ask” to confirm the appointment, then it opens at link to AVITS but looks like I can’t even add my case number…
What’s your thoughts ?
Thanks
January 27, 2025 at 12:12
You should register on that site, although it typically takes a few days before your case is loaded.
January 27, 2025 at 06:39
Hi Simon,
I submitted my DS260 months ago and I had to indicate which countries I have visited in the last 5 years, which I did. Due to my risky case number (EU28XXX), I still have until August/September and wanted to backpack many parts of the world before I officially immigrate to the US. Is a visit abroad a reason to unlock the ds260 or is it just overthinking?
My other question is similar, I still have a valid esta with which I enter the US several times a year, but after submitting the ds260 I have not been there yet, can I still enter the US with the esta before a possible interview date or could I get problems due to immigration intentions?
Many thanks and best regards
Ilkan
January 27, 2025 at 11:43
1. No need to update the DS260 for short trips.
2. No problem using the ESTA.
January 27, 2025 at 03:28
Hi, Simon.
I’m a DV selectee from Somalia with CN 2025AF19xxx. My post-interview is in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The embassy seems too slow to send me 2NL. As you know, Trump signed an executive order that might pave the way for the ‘Muslim ban’ within 60 days. I have desperately wanted to transfer my case since early December, and I sent many emails to other embassies, and they aren’t cooperative. Could you recommend that I move and send them an email with my visa in order to show them my current location? What could you recommend to me?
January 27, 2025 at 11:42
You must make your own decision about whether to move or not.
January 28, 2025 at 00:26
Could recommend me to move?
January 26, 2025 at 21:52
Hi Simon, hope you are well.
I went over the specific instruction of my interviewing post (MTL) and they state to upload supporting documents. The link leads to CEAC and when pulling up my case I don’t have an option to upload any documents. Am I assuming correctly that this is only applicable to non-DV IV cases since the pre-submission of documents for DV stopped a while ago?
This is the link to the MTL specific IV instructions:
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html
As always, appreciate your help.
January 27, 2025 at 11:37
Yes that is my understanding.
January 26, 2025 at 16:37
Hi Brit, Came across your youtube video about insurance for new GC holders. Very helpful Thank you! We are in a unique situation where my parent worked in the US for 10 years but went back to his home country about 20 years ago. Once I became a citizen and sponsored the parents, they will now be entering in as a GC holders next month. Given that he’s 75, I think he should qualify for Medicare even though new GC holders usually have to wait 5 years. Would a visit to the social security office be the best place to get clarity on the situation? I haven’t been able to find answers online. Of course I will get bridge insurance to cover them from day 1!
January 27, 2025 at 11:35
I would suggest they setup an online account at the ssa website, and there they will see the contribution years, and eligibility for Medicare. If they paid 10 years they may also have some social security benefits and could get retroactive payments for some months.
But failing that, then yes a visit to the SSA would clarify the position.
January 26, 2025 at 16:09
Hi, my case number is EU14xxx. Can you talk through the pro/cons of AOS vs CP?
I am really struggling to decide between them having done some research already.
How would you decide?
January 27, 2025 at 11:31
Sm1smom put together a comparison of the two methods and it is available here:

Hello Simon,
Please is my CN 2025AF25*** good in Accra embassy or should i move it to different country?
January 26, 2025 at 16:06
Well Accra took 300 cases for March interviews. That was great news, but whether that trend can continue or not remains to be seen.
January 26, 2025 at 12:03
Hi Simon
I am not sure how the taxation working at the first period.
I am working in Switzerland and i will activate the GC in April but i want to move permanently to the US only in 2026. I have no ide where to check, so if you have any idea pls share with me.
I know i ll be tax resident from april but i ll have no address there and in that time i ll have other tax residency..
If you have any tax advisor contact that would be also nice.
I really like and appreciate what you doing day by day.
Adam
January 26, 2025 at 12:27
I’m not a tax expert, nor do I know any.
I would say that you will need to file a tax report in April of 2026 based on your activation in 2025.

Hallo Simon, any hope for 2025AF86k ? Embassy is Frankfurt Germany.
January 26, 2025 at 08:58
In my estimation, no. However you must wait and see.
January 26, 2025 at 00:50
Good day Mr Simon,
Hope you are doing great.
Please, I submitted my Ds 260 form in July 2024 and since then I haven’t ask kcc to unlock my case. So for the length of time now, is it possible that kcc can still unlock my case? And also based on your advice/advices I want to correctly fill out my educational informations in my form. Therefore, I am kindly requesting for your continue guidance Sir. As I mentioned before, In my country (Monrovia,Liberia) we have four(4) sections before graduating from high school. That’s kindergarten, Elementary, Junior, and senior high school. I passed through all those stages before graduating. In total of three(3) institutions I attended before graduating from high school. But when I was filling in my Ds 260 form, I only mentioned the beginning of my 12th grades year and that of the completion date. That’s September 5, 2016 to August 19, 2017. And In my in my Ds 260 form, I was asked for number of educational institutions attended, I only mentioned one(1) institution, the one that I graduated from. Case number AF39k
And also if changes is needed, how quickly should I be? Can you assume if my case might be current upcoming VB??
Please, I’m kindly asking for guidance Sir.
January 26, 2025 at 08:57
1. KCC can still unlock your DS260.
2. Education is supposed to be listed from about age 11 or 12. It is up to you whether to unlock and correct that.
3. Your case number won’t be current next month.
January 26, 2025 at 10:13
Thanks a lot Sir.
But please, how do I go about aking kcc to unlock case Sir? Is there any specific procedure do I need to follow?? Or how should this request be written???
I do highly appreciate you Mr. Simon
January 25, 2025 at 18:20
Hello BritSimon,
Pls find below email respond I got from KCC regarding transferring my case to another embassy. It’s a confusing reply DS-260 was Unlocked and made few changes on the addresses and resubmitted again. I later requested for a change of embassy and this is the response below
Thank you for your inquiry.
Once the DS-260 for the Principal Applicant has been submitted, the interview location can only be updated by the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC). Please send your request to [email protected] with the physical address which you will be present at during the time of your interview.
January 26, 2025 at 08:54
They are asking where you will be staying in the new country. Answer them.
January 26, 2025 at 09:41
Okay Noted
January 25, 2025 at 13:51

January 25, 2025 at 16:07
Hmm, I would wait until the end of the month to see if NRB take some interviews.
Then if you still want to move, take action before the next VB is published.

January 25, 2025 at 10:02
MY name is Nega Mengistie from Ethiopia and I am selectee for DV2025 with case number 2025AF23199. I do not still receive my 2NL from KCC. Would you please tell me the reason for the delay of receiving my second notification letter?
January 25, 2025 at 13:31
It’s normal, just be a little more patient.
January 25, 2025 at 07:08
Hello Simon,
I’m from Nepal and I’ve my interview on last week of March. I’m currently in high school and will graduate in July 30, 2025. I’ll only be able to submit my high school diploma in first week of August? Would you suggest me to attend this interview on March or should I try to reschedule this on August (is it possible though?)? What would happen in this case?
January 25, 2025 at 08:41
As you have been told, you should have delayed submission of the DS260. However, you can attend the interview and be on 221g until you can provide the paperwork. If you do that, take the extract of FAM and explain what you would like to achieve.
January 24, 2025 at 18:35

Hi Britsimon ,
It looks like there’s a possibility the travel ban might be reinstated. If that happens, people from certain countries may not be able to get visas. How was the situation during the last Trump administration for people from banned countries? Did embassies invite the selectees and consider waivers at all? I’ve noticed that although visa issuance was significantly reduced, it wasn’t completely stopped, so I assume some people were able to get waivers and visa . I’m asking because I’m curious—if the exact same situation occurs again, how people from travel-ban countries should position themself and weather still have a chance to get a visa?
Would greatly appreciate if you briefly share your knowledge and educate us in your QA or update videos . Much appreciated
January 24, 2025 at 19:19
It’s premature to guess the effects of a possible travel ban. They may not create it in the same way. There were also several bans with different wording and different impacts, so it is really too complex to align a possible ban against what happened before.
January 24, 2025 at 12:21
Hello, Mr. Simon. I am a 2025 DV Lottery winner. I would like to know if I would be issued by August because my case number is around 12300 to 12350. I applied from Asia – Burma but am currently studying at a US university. The cut-off for March 2025 is 6000 and when can I expect 12000-13000? Thank you very much.
January 24, 2025 at 12:43
It will take some months to get to your number. I don’t have a precise prediction.
January 24, 2025 at 13:19
Is it a high number? Considering the recent US Politics.
January 24, 2025 at 14:09
No
January 24, 2025 at 14:47
Since Asia is expected to get only 8000 visas for 2025, I wonder if I still have a chance.
January 24, 2025 at 10:40
Hi brit, this month 2nls are not send yet, is there any error in the server or it is slow due to busy in the Trumps inauguration what is the reason behind this in your opinion.
January 24, 2025 at 12:42
Well over 2000 2NLs have been sent this month. Do you mean why are they not showing the 2NL appointment details in CEAC – that is a technical glitch.

January 24, 2025 at 17:53
Follow instructions.
January 24, 2025 at 05:12
HI Simon,
The Republicans hold the majority in both chambers, the Senate and the House of Representatives, so they could quickly pass a law to eliminate the Diversity Visa Lottery even before the results are announced on May 3, 2025.
If a law is passed before the DV-2026 results are announced on May 3, 2025, would it impact the DV-2026 program?
What do you think of this scenario? Thank you.
January 24, 2025 at 08:51
“What do you think of this scenario?”
Fantasy.

For three main reasons this is not a possible scenario:
1) Even with a majority, passing a law in the US Congress takes a lot more than 4 months with the committee reviews, amendments, debates, etc. I know this because I’ve followed non-DV related immigration reform too many times before. What happens is usually a law draft gets stuck with a committee and never even makes it to the congress floor.
2) Even if a law is passed, it would exclude DV-2026 to avoid legal challenges. People would be suing the US government if it includes DV-2026.
3) Even if a law is passed and it includes DV-2026, Logistically, it would be difficult for DOS to adjust it’s operations and rules.
The real danger is not a congressional change, rather it’s executive and regulatory moves that slows down the process to create a de-facto cancellation of the program or outright bans of entry for certain nationals.

Can a green card holder fill the I-134 for a beneficiary? For my interview session?

Hi Simon
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to follow up regarding my Diversity Visa Lottery 2025 case. I recently received an email notification about my 2NL (Second Notification Letter) more than a week ago, specifically a week and three days ago, but I have noticed that the ESC (Entrant Status Check) website has not yet been updated with the corresponding information. any help

Hi Simon,
While Trump has not yet implemented a travel ban, one of his day-1 executive orders directs that
– “The Secretary of State…shall promptly identify all resources that may be used to ensure that aliens… are vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible.”
– Vetting standards should be reverted back to those on Jan 19th 2021.
– Within 60 days identify countries for which the vetting and screening information is deficient to warrant a suspension of admission of nationals from those countries. (Same language used for the 2017 travel bans)
So he’s definitely preparing for a travel ban by March 21st. Anyone who has their green cards should make sure to have their activation trips ASAP, especially before March 21st. It does sound like people going through the CP may be affected more than the AOSers, but I’m thinking with the tighter vetting process, the AOSers with high CNs may be stuck in the background check phase and ultimately lose their chance of getting the GC.
The question I have for you is what was the situation like before Jan 19th 2021? I know that consular capacity was limited during COVID, but was there a general slow down independent of the pandemic in both CP and AOS for nationals who are not from the countries that were banned? Thanks!

We can’t precisely know the screening process details or differences between Trump first admin and now, but I was certainly not aware of any speeding up in processing since then.

Nairobi embassy is causing us lots of anxiety. My daughter at 18k has been current since November 2024. We don’t know how president trump will wake up tomorrow. He has been issuing executive orders left right and center since inauguration. Please Nairobi embassy help us, there is still a window for 2NLs and visa processing..

Be patient.

Good day Simon,
My name is Tijana. I am a diversity visa winner from Serbia. I acquired visas for myself and my spouse in September. On October 30th I gave birth to our daughter.
We plan on immigrating to the US in February. I just wanted to check if any additional steps or documents are needed for our daughter. Like paying an immigration fee, filling out DS260 for her or letting KCC know about an additional dependy? We already made fee payment for two of us. We have a her birth certificate, passport, vaccination record and a letter from embassy explaining the rule for the airlines.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
Kindly,
Tijana

No that’s all, but to avoid a last minute delay, confirm with the airline that they understand the rules for a newborn, and will let the child board the flight.

Hi Simon, i have passed my consulate interview and almost my medical exam but haven’t been well the last month so my doctor recommended i wait until i’m better to get my final vaccination.
I know my medical exam is valid for 6 months after I attend, but I’m mindful of not waiting too long to send in my medical exam to the consulate for final approval in case there are delays. my consulate appointment was in sydney, australia.
Do you think this delay will affect approval of my visa?
Many thanks!
January 23, 2025 at 08:54
Well it depends how long you delay.
January 23, 2025 at 21:30
I’m thinking maybe February? March at the latest. I thought I’d be better by now but have had extra health complications that are dragging it out.
January 24, 2025 at 08:48
That might be OK.
January 27, 2025 at 01:11
Thanks! It now says on the USCIS website that they will not deny a greencard application due to lack of Covid vaccination. Does this apply to me since I’ve been waiting only for my Covid vaccination to finalize my greencard since I passed the interview?
This is what it says:
ALERT: Effective January 22, 2025, USCIS waives any and all requirements that applicants for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident present documentation on their Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, that they received the COVID-19 vaccination. USCIS will not issue any Request for Evidence (RFE) or Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) related to proving a COVID-19 vaccination. USCIS will not deny any adjustment of status application based on the applicant’s failure to present documentation that they received the COVID-19 vaccination.
January 27, 2025 at 11:37
No – because these changes are from USCIS – and doesn’t change the consular processing rules.
January 23, 2025 at 21:32
I’m also a little concerned with the immigrant changes since Trumps inauguration now and want to do it asap. Do you think it’s a factor since I’m coming from Australia?
January 24, 2025 at 08:48
No.

Hi Simon
Since the beginning of my DV lottery process and am tracking every sigle advice that you give in your live or others YouTube videos and also in your blog Britsimonsays.
I am now in Illinois since last October with my son but my daughter did stay with us just a few days and went back home Morocco to continue her study for this semester.
Here a month ago me and my son and my daughter did get our SSN and also our GC.
But once my daughter went back to our country Morocco her GC did make some delay to be issued but once received we found out that there is a wrong day and month in here GC birthdate.
I did fill a I 90 form on her behalf to get a GC with the correct birthdate with all the support documents.
But since she out now of USA in without her GC, and the DHS sent me that she has to attend biometrics appointment in the future.
She 11 years old.
Please advise me because I don’t have any clue how to fix this issue without causing her loosing her GC.
January 23, 2025 at 08:53
She isn’t going to loose her GC status. Just follow their instructions regarding the biometric and keep contacting USCIS.
