Data extract as of yesterday (AF as of today). Seems like they are making pretty fast progress now – much more in line with normal pace. I expect them to issue around 5k per month going forward – although Feb might be a little less as it is a short month. At just over 1800 since the beginning of the month, that is roughly about right. The early months are always a bit slower.
I still don’t think Accra are updating correctly at all – and perhaps some other embassies too – so those could cause some big increases in visas issued over the next month or two.
Here is the data
CEAC data update – Feb 10

Im a petitioner and in all of my documents my name is Shuxratzhon, but in my high school diploma my name is Shuxrat. They didnt write my name fully, they left (zhon). Is it a big deal for interview ? please give me some advice.
Thanks in advance!
February 18, 2015 at 05:56
No, not a big deal.

February 15, 2015 at 16:03
Any clue as to what ” In Transit” status mean? I’m observing several cases showing up under this status
February 15, 2015 at 17:16
It is the stage when KCC has scheduled the interview with an embassy but the embassy has not yet recorded their receipt of the case in CEAC.

Sorry I made an error in number 2.
it is suppose to be “my birth certificate does not carry my fathers name because I was not recognised by him. Will that pose any problems during my interview?
Would I need back up documents for that?
If yes Which?
February 13, 2015 at 16:49
I understood anyway. No backup documents – it isn’t an issue. The only issue you might have is that once you become a citizen (if you choose to do that) you would be entitled to sponsor your parents. Since your father isn’t listed that would be very complicated (DNA tests etc). But, if that isn’t something you would plan to do anyway – then no problems.
February 13, 2015 at 12:16
Thanks for the updates. It has been very enlightening.
1. My case number is AF0058xxx, what are my chances?
2. My birth certificate does carry my fathers name because I wasn’t recognised by him. Does that pose a problem for me during the interview.?
3. How many Visas are expected to be awarded in Africa this 2015?
I need advice please
February 13, 2015 at 16:47
1. Very good chance – almost 100%
2. No issue
3. 22000
February 13, 2015 at 03:38
Thanks for clarifying so well.
February 12, 2015 at 21:06
CN at around EU39600.
February 12, 2015 at 18:46
What about 39,600? is there a chance? Does the new info change the probability?
February 12, 2015 at 20:02
Region?
February 13, 2015 at 05:24
BritSimon, even though you mentioned about 3000-4000 CNs per month for every 2000 visas per month, doesn’t the higher processing speed put at risk higher case numbers such as EU39600 as more later applications will be cleared for lower case numbers and the VB speed will slow down?
February 13, 2015 at 05:35
Yes. But higher case numbers were at risk anyway….
February 13, 2015 at 06:06
So EU39600 may be riskier now and the chances become lower based on the latest speed of processing?
February 12, 2015 at 18:35
I have CN 44000. Still waiting for good news. Does this new data change anything for me?
February 12, 2015 at 20:01
No – this is all “normal”
February 12, 2015 at 17:38
Yes. So at 2k intake for EU per month, with only 5 VBs left (and they might only increase on 4 of those), it would leave Europe finishing on between CN36,500 and CN38500 approx. That would be disappointing as I’m below EU39,100.
Is there a reason why they may only increase on 4 of the 5 remaining VBs?
February 12, 2015 at 19:59
You are mixing appoved numbers (2K) with intake of case numbers. It might take 3000 or even 4000 case numbers to yield 2000 approvals (because of holes, denials and so on).
Last year they had most EU processing done by the end of August – that left them August to focus on AP cleanup, AF and, to an extent AS. I think they “might” do the same again – i.e. rush EU to max CN by August.
February 12, 2015 at 12:50
Hi Simon. When you say;
“I expect them to issue around 5k per month going forward”,
do you mean for all regions?
February 12, 2015 at 14:05
Yes -, the total issued globally (about 2k each for AF and EU, 800 for AS and 200 between SA and OC.
February 12, 2015 at 09:26
At NVC doesn’t mean the DS260 is not submitted. It also means the DS260 is not processed OR the DS260 is processed, but the CN is not current yet.
So you can’t really say anything about the reponse rate when looking at this data.
February 12, 2015 at 14:08
Yes agreed. However, we can see response rate climb. By only looking at current cases and then looking at scheduled cases within that group, we can see the remainder that stay on “at NVC”. The response rate will climb at a steady rate and if you draw a curve it will “top out” when the backlog cleared.
February 12, 2015 at 14:18
Is that means speed up on processing?
February 12, 2015 at 16:32
I think you are talking about DS260 processing – we will have a better idea in a week or two when the 2NLs come out
February 12, 2015 at 08:38
According to the data, what can you say about processing speed? Is there any good news like speed up?
February 12, 2015 at 14:16
Nothing significant – just the “expected” increase in speed.
February 12, 2015 at 07:02
Still a lot of (At NVC) cases in first 4000 number at Asia (about 1600) is that means they didn’t fill the DS-260 form and the response level is low?
February 11, 2015 at 23:28
They should progress faster starting from next month ( April ). we expect them to do that..
February 12, 2015 at 00:33
Agreed – but from March – right?
February 12, 2015 at 13:56
Lol. March, that’s Right ! I was saying April Visa Bulletin 😉
February 12, 2015 at 14:16
