Hello BritS,
I went to university but I didn’t graduate and I filled the initial entry form and form ds260 as having went through some university courses with no degree. Do I need documents to verify this? If yes which are these documents since i didn’t graduate…

You can use your own judgement to decide what proof you can show if asked.

Hello BritSimon, I came across a post by Nepyork saying USCIS has paused acceptance of the form i-134A. Does this mean the DV processing is also affected instantly?

No because DV doesn’t use that form.

Please help me understand my records. On ceac. I filed my ds260 2 weeks ago and when I view the Ceac data, it shows “ none” under consular but I picked the embassy . Is this okey since the status is still on NVC?

Yes that is normal.

Finally! They scheduled an interview for me all the way in Frankfurt early in the morning. I’m from Amsterdam, so it’s a 5 hr drive from me. Is there any way I can get an interview at the Embassy in my country?
January 25, 2025 at 08:39
Well you could try and transfer it, but really for the sake of a 5 hour drive, why would you bother?
January 25, 2025 at 10:48
Yeah you’re right. I could just get a hotel. My only two concerns are that i’d have to get my Medical Examination in Germany, and that they’ll keep my passport there if i’d be granted a visa. I would still have to return to my own country after the interview.
January 25, 2025 at 13:33
I don’t think you show your passport on a road trip from Amsterdam to Germany, right?
And a 5 hour drive is NOTHING.
However, if you are determined to change, you could do so but it would probably cause some delay.

I literally kept checking every hour (except when I was sleeping) and I still didn’t catch that it’s been fixed before Simon posting this 😂

Hi Mr Simon,
Thank so much for this important update. I’m one of those that are scheduled for March interview but was not able to received the letter. However, as soon I see this update I when right away to check and I received my letter. But there is a worrying concerned for me. My wife give birth to our first child in November 2024 and I asked you about what we can do, you told me to unlock our ds260 to add our child which I did but the letter we received for our interview appointment, our child name is not listed only me and my wife as benefactorie.
(1) Does this mean our child was not added? Because we don’t intend to leave her back.
(2) Can this cause problem for us?
(3) What you think we should do right away so we can’t miss this opportunity?
Hoping for your response very soon so that we can know what steps to take.

It’s not a problem. You will take your baby to the interview anyway.
