Hi Chief, ๐
a question regarding submit supporting documents to KCC:
If I already sent the documents and later need to submit some further documents (e.g. I forgot some or if I have a newer version of some document), so do I:
1.) send only the new document?
2.) or all documents (incl. the new one)?
Thank you & all the best wishes!

Hi Simon, what about DS-260 processing? Do you think it’s a seperate procedure or they process both the documents and the DS-260 for a certain case at the same time? I’m asking this because I noticed that they reply to some cases with “Your DS-260 has been processed” and to other cases with “Your DS-260 is under processing”
July 25, 2021 at 16:34
It’s a separate procedure.
July 24, 2021 at 20:43
Thanks for the video. I understand now!
July 24, 2021 at 21:13
Hello, Brit!
1. I’ve submitted my documents with the wrong subject as โCase number: 2021EU000XXXXXโ and not just โ2021EU000XXXXXโ. Can I resend my documents with correct subject? Could I be disqualified for resubmitting documents?
2. I’ve also sent an email to KCC to ask about status of my case but I am not received any answer. And when I try to call, the robot advises me to write a letter. Is it normal situation these days?
Thank you for your help!
Eskender
July 25, 2021 at 19:40
1. You won’t have been disqualified, but yes I would resend if I were you.
2. Yes
July 25, 2021 at 20:55
thank you!
July 26, 2021 at 04:39
SIR ,could you pl tell us what the problem with Iskender about (โCase number: 2021EU000XXXXXโ and not just โ2021EU000XXXXXโ) , is not the same?
Thank you sir

Hi Brit.. thank you for tour videoโฆ I would just like to add that my sisters case 2021OC15XX was processed and ready on 5th of August in 2020. The documents were all sent as instructed with the leading 0s but they still have not received any 2NL. On the other hand we have a lot of friends whose documents were processed after my sister and they all received the 2 NL. She has been trying to get in touch with KCC but no one is responding to her emailsโฆ. Is there any way she can contact KCC apart from emails as it doesnโt make sense how cases are currently scheduled.. we have evidence to prove this that other people who had higher number and had documents processed after her got the 2NLโฆ Thanks for your help
July 25, 2021 at 19:46
Send me the proof that she was DQ on August 5th.

July 27, 2021 at 01:42
hello dear Simon.thank you so much your the best.
July 25, 2021 at 21:29
Dear Mr. Britsimon.
I received this email from KCC on July 14, 2020 saying “Your Case Number is now current for interview processing. I received the “Ready For Scheduling, from KCC stating that I was documentarily qualified on September 15, 2020. But up to present I have not received the 2NL. from KCC. My CN is 2021AF 2XXX.. I don’t know but please what is obtaining Sir?
Thanks
Marie
July 25, 2021 at 22:36
The “number is now current” email shows they are trying to schedule your interview depending now on embassy capacity.
July 26, 2021 at 09:55
Hi brit when do you think the bill wich dv2020 and dv2021 are included will be put in vote ?
July 27, 2021 at 05:36
I don’t know.
July 26, 2021 at 11:02
Dear Brit,
I’ve received the “ready to be scheduled” email few days ago. I am from Italy with CN 2021EU26xxx.
Now, who will decide for my interview? All depends from my Embassy or KCC?
Thanks a lot,
Sara
July 27, 2021 at 05:39
You are too late to be scheduled by the deadline – so now it is a matter of whether the lawsuits can achieve some help.
July 26, 2021 at 12:15
hi britsimon i have question. i am planning to get married the coming December because life has to continue. due to dv 2021 i have postponed our marriage. i am document qualified since march with case no 16k from Africa . if the judge didn’t order a relief that help us to get visa before September and visa is reserved for dv 2021, will i be able to update my ds 260????? please give explanation thank u
July 27, 2021 at 05:44
I don’t know. We will have to wait and see what he orders (if anything).
July 26, 2021 at 15:37
Hi dear simon, May I hire you to solve me the confirmation letter issue ? NB: im a plaint/iff in a law/suit .. i sent ds260 late july, then documents late december, and resent early march, however i havent yet received the confirm letter, case no 35K (dv21) ?
July 27, 2021 at 05:50
Your only chance is the lawsuit.
July 26, 2021 at 16:23
Hello. How long after completing DS-260 (DV 2022) should I expect an email from KCC asking for documents? Many thanks.
July 26, 2021 at 23:31
I submitted ds 260 in July 2020 and documents in March 2021 . With case number Af27k we have not been scheduled up till now . I also certain that lagos Nigeria embassy is working. What could be going on?
July 27, 2021 at 06:00
Unfortunately KCC are scheduling cases in order that the cases became DQ. Yours will have been too late. See what happens with the lawsuits.
July 27, 2021 at 05:52
There is no way to guess their response times these days. Patience.
July 26, 2021 at 18:22
Hello BritSimon,
You’re too much
.. Good BLESS YOU
July 26, 2021 at 20:46
Guys, it is now or never. We are today launching a letter to collect signatures, asking for support for legislatives efforts by Representatives Ritchie Torres, Judy Chu, Grace Meng et al to offer a fix for diversity visa winners from 2017 to 2021 unjustly denied an opportunity of fair adjudication.
All Diversity Visa Winners 2017-2021 who have not received fair adjudication and their derivatives, please all sign urgently.

July 27, 2021 at 05:59
Why? They have already inserted the amendments. Why ask for what they are already trying to achieve?
July 28, 2021 at 18:48
Sir des it mean they will reopen cases from 2017-2021?
July 29, 2021 at 16:12
They might – depending on the Meng amendment. It is not a certainty yet.
July 30, 2021 at 21:33
Thanks.
I wish you will become an immigration lawyer so that when I will win u’ll dรฉfend my case.
Thank you and may Allah make you muslim LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
July 27, 2021 at 02:04

i mean a number of people understand English alphabet.but they have answered to this question No.if we have lied to this question. on the day of interview problem or no problem.
July 27, 2021 at 06:01
No problem.
July 27, 2021 at 07:36
Dear Mr. Brit,
What is the situation with DV 2020? Should we re-sent once again the documents or we have still wait? Could you give update on this
July 28, 2021 at 23:03
Still waiting for the final decision from Judge Mehta.
July 27, 2021 at 14:11
Hi,I have watched your video on sending documents even if not yet asked.
How early can I send documents ?
I m a DV 2022 selectee and my number is high around AF40xxx.Can I send my documents right now ,considering that our country police certificate duration us for 6months ,and that interview is expected maybe during next year in the summer.
July 28, 2021 at 23:21

July 28, 2021 at 11:44
Hello Brit! I got married traditionally before applying for the lottery and I have a document stating this fact and the date. Now I just had my civil marriage after getting the results of the lottery. So on the DS260 form, which date of marriage do I use? The traditional wedding or the civil union
July 29, 2021 at 15:12
What did you say was your marital status on the entry form?
July 28, 2021 at 19:06
when kcc sends 2nls, is there a queue for a certain embassy by DQ date that they group, how does it work? asking to understand when a relief is sorted out, they just wont start from recent DQ cases.
July 29, 2021 at 16:13
Because all cases are current, cases are ordered by the date in which they became DQ
August 4, 2021 at 16:27
Hi Simon thanks for ur help all the time my question is
I was DQ on march this year and my case number is around 17k what is my chances of getting interview?
August 5, 2021 at 13:42
I don’t know.
July 30, 2021 at 01:51
Hi dear Brit!
When I open ds 260 form there is my and my family members names written. I filled the form (being principal applicant). Of course this form includes some detail about my family members. Now do each of my family member needs to fill their individual forms as well?
July 30, 2021 at 19:39
Each person that wants a greencard needs a DS260.
July 30, 2021 at 09:45
What I see is that the KCC has missed the chance to improve this mess a bit and take advantage of the “all current” status. I’m tracking the EU region and see a lot of cases being DQ from people which should have been interviewed at embassies that both already have a huge queue of DQ cases (at least, far bigger than time available) and/or are absolutely shut down. A clear example to that is Moscow.
I wouldn’t like to sound unfair to these people that deserves their visa as anyone else does, but why not focusing on getting cases DQ to those adjudicated to posts that had the chances to admit those cases for interview (i.e. Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt, Naples, etc.)? I’m sure similar issues are happening in other regions.
I guess this way they’d have increased the number of visas adjudicated , which was the message that NVC transmitted intially making all numbers current, wasn’t it?
July 30, 2021 at 19:43
Going current was a mistake, but helped some cases. In terms of they could have taken advantage of it – well, that is not their concern.
July 30, 2021 at 10:53
Hello Mr Simon, I’m a DV Winner from Cameroon and now a participant of Mr. Curtis Morrison’s lawsuit.
I’ve sent my documents to KCC since March 2021, and then, in April 2021 too, and I’ve received no answer from them.
This morning, they have just sent me this message :
Date: 7/30/2021
Case Number: 2021AF00023xxxxx
Dear XXXXXXX
Congratulations on your selection for the 2021 Diversity Visa program!
Please read this email and carefully follow the instructions listed in order to have your application processed as quickly as possible.
You should review the list of required documents for processing below and send those to KCC to review as part of your application package, along with completing your DS-260. You will only be scheduled for interview at an overseas consular post after you have completed your DS-260 and submitted all documents required for your case and your visa rank number has become current.
All documents should be submitted as attachments to your email to ensure they are properly received. We ask that you use the following method to name and attach your files:
Your DV case number;
The full name of the applicant whose document you scanned; and
The document name or form number.
For example:
2021AF00938653_John_Doe_Passport.pdf
2021AF00938653_Jane_Doe_Birth_Certificate.pdf
So it’s now that they are asking me my documents, while I’ve sent them to them since. Should I contact my lawyers also, to let them know? Of course, I intend to send the documents but I wanted to have your POV too. Thanks for everything you do for us winners.
July 30, 2021 at 19:46
Send the documents again – and yes let your lawyer know.
July 30, 2021 at 11:27
Dear Simon,
A very insightful video, thank you.
Question:
1. Would the issue you described apply if I included some text after the full case number in the email subject.
For example:
“2021EU000XXXXX supporting doc submission”?
2. Is there a problem with using a company/university email address in communicating with KCC/ sending docs?
Thank you in advance.
July 30, 2021 at 19:47
1. No – that would not change the sort order.
2. No
July 30, 2021 at 13:10
I just received a response from KCC when I emailed them about my case. I finished filling my DS260 a year ago and sent the documents this year without getting any prompt from then.
Content of the email:
“Thank you for your inquiry.
Your forms have been received and are currently processing. Allow several weeks for processing. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing. Once the Kentucky Consular Center has finished processing your DS-260, you will receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center giving you instructions to complete in order for your case to continue processing.
In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant’s full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center.
”
What should I do here? Do I just wait or is there something I can ask them that will help me with my case?
July 30, 2021 at 13:12
By the way I’m from DV 2021.
July 30, 2021 at 19:49
There is nothing you can do, except hope the lawsuit produces some positive outcome.
July 30, 2021 at 15:46
Hello Simon, I received the ready for scheduling email on May/2021 I think 5th of May. Anw my case number is AS3XXX I’m not sure if I wrote it well but it’s three thousand something so it’s a small number I think. Some ppl received their 2NL and are close to my number or a little higher on July and I was wondering when should I expect mine? And why did cases higher than my number received the email before me, is it because their documents were processed before mine? Thank you
July 30, 2021 at 19:51
The scheduling is happening in the order in which cases became DQ.
July 30, 2021 at 22:38
Dear sir dose the auto reply dedect your case number or this is normal auto reply
I mistakly sent my inquiry to kcc doc and I received this auto reply
After they mentioned that they have not dedect any attachments they mentioned in new line ( now that your application form has been submitted you should review list of required documents……..
August 2, 2021 at 04:11
Sounds like you made a mistake.
July 31, 2021 at 17:35
Hello sir, please Iโll like you to help me.
Am a dv2021 winner and my wife is a new green card holder in USA. As dv is not sure for me, she wanted to begin the process with the petition to family reunited. But someone tell us that itโs forbidden to the same to have more than one visa process on in the same time.
Is it true or false sir?
Thanks for your help.
August 2, 2021 at 04:22
False.
August 1, 2021 at 07:21
Hello Brit.
I’m a DV 2020 group. Ready to be scheduled. I only have one question though tricky.
So, if we win the merits on the Gomez lawsuit and Judge Mehta gives a greenlight for the visas to be adjudicated and the KCC also decides to follow cases number order.
What is the highest cases that the 9095 visas likely to cover? Can it cover upto case number 2020Af45***?
August 2, 2021 at 04:27
I don’t know.
August 3, 2021 at 15:49
Hi Brit, case number 2021AF0003xxxx received email from KCC requesting supporting documents on 26th/07/21. Do you think I stand a chance for an interview in Sept?
August 4, 2021 at 04:59
No. Your only chance is the lawsuit.
August 3, 2021 at 17:28
Brit ,
Sir my sponsor Is a self employee. He is Single unmarried lives in Maryland. His anual income is approximately 39000 dollars.

August 4, 2021 at 13:35
Brit ,
Sir I want to know whether my case is rescheduled by Colombo embassy . Is there a way to check it. I have already got my 2nl
Regards
August 5, 2021 at 13:37
Ask the embassy.
August 5, 2021 at 09:43
Hi Brit, please I need your help. Unfortunately I can’t attach any letter here. I have received an email from US embassy in London asking me to register for a new interview appointment. I have registered several times but they keep telling me I’ve not registered. I have even send them a screenshot of a’ email confirming my registration.
I don’t know if there is a special way to register to book an interview appointment. They send me a link and that’s what u used to register.
Thank you
August 5, 2021 at 14:07
Normally you have an interview date from KCC. All you need to do is register with the courier service, you don’t need a new appointment. However, if they are doing something different, just follow their instructions or contact them if you can’t.
August 5, 2021 at 14:18
Thank you.,
The pb is I had a first interview in May in Cameroon, but I was in the UK at tht moment, so I changed my location interview and it was accepted.
But since the UK has not given me a new date but asking me to register for a new appointment and I have done that several times.
August 5, 2021 at 12:58
Hello brit,
I filled up my ds – 260 in may 2021 and had to be unlocked due to some mistake. After it has been unlocked can i change my dv interview location in ds -260? As i will be moving to canada this September on student visa and can i schedule my interview in canada or not?
And if yes what do i need to do to schedule my interview in another country?
Hoping you will reply to my query.
August 5, 2021 at 14:09
Case number?
August 5, 2021 at 17:07

My case number is AS1953.
August 6, 2021 at 12:49
Hello brit,
Please help me about my query above it will be very helpful as i cannot get the answer to my query from anywhere else.
August 6, 2021 at 13:48
You left the year off the number!
August 6, 2021 at 14:33
My case number is 2022AS1953
August 8, 2021 at 14:45
Finally.
So once you move to Canada you can update your address, and based on that update they will change your interview location. However, FYI, Montreal is not performing DV interviews at all at this time.
August 7, 2021 at 09:00
hi brit,
I also have the same question, when i filled up the DS-260 i hadn’t got the visa for UK. After filling up my DS-260 i got study permit for UK. Now i am confuse if one can schedule their interiew in another country or not? If yes what is the procedure? Case number 2022AS2***
August 6, 2021 at 02:00
Hello Mr. Brit,
Please, I have submitted my DS-260 Application for DV 2022 since May, 2021 but I have not received document submission instructions by e-mail from KCC. Please, should I send KCC an e-mail or I should wait for a while ?
August 6, 2021 at 05:24
Send the documents.

August 8, 2021 at 14:53

3. Just focus on having your documents.
August 7, 2021 at 16:02
Dear Brit Simon,
I am the winner of DV 2021 from Iran with CN 2021AS00013xxx and I have participated in the Goodluck lawsuit. After watching your great videos, I have faced with some questions.
I have already sent my supporting documents to KCC in the following format:
โข Subject: With leading zeroes.
โข Documents names: Without leading zeroes.
1. In your opinion, do I need to resend my documents with leading zeroes on documents name?
2. As an Iranian DV lottery winner, I have written some explanations in the E-mail body about police certificate and court record about the reason why I do not sent these documents. Is it necessary to convert my explanation about these documents into PDF? (You have explained about email body in 1:13:58 in your video: Live Q&A Sunday August 1, 2021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsM9XCLk1ZY&t=4445s).
3. Will the re-sending of documents lead to a delay in the review of my documents?
August 8, 2021 at 15:03
1. No
2. In the pdf.
3. It is already too late unless we get some benefit from the lawsuits.
August 8, 2021 at 17:12
I am really grateful for your help.
August 8, 2021 at 04:03
dear brit i am a winner 2021SA17xx. with documents ok July 27, 2020. My interview is in Bogota and I have not received my appointment yet. what should I do . I already mentioned 90 people in Bogota. please help me . Time goes by . do you think the quota will run out? What should I do if kcc does not answer the emails?
August 8, 2021 at 15:23
Your only chance is the lawsuit. Wait and see what happens with that.
August 8, 2021 at 07:27
Dear Brit peace be with you
I am DV 2021 winner with case number AF 00054k I sent my DS 260 form on June 23/2020
and submitted the documents on April 2021.
I asked Kcc about the process their 1st answer we received & processed your forms & it takes time.
For my 2nd email they answered your forms & documents are on process & it will take time.
Dear brother 1. do you think if there is hope I am from Ethiopia?
2.. or how can I join the lawsuit?
Thanks
August 8, 2021 at 15:27
There is no chance for you except through the lawsuit. You cannot join the lawsuits now, but the lawsuits may achieve a benefit for everyone. Maybe. Not certain.
August 11, 2021 at 17:54
Hallo Brit I wanna ask u 1 question I am dv 2021 lottery winner my case number is AF49k my first enty form email is changed when I fill ds 260 but I can’t get document submition instructions yet
August 14, 2021 at 14:13
@Mensur – the year is almost over so if you haven’t sent the documents by now you really have left it too late (for DV2021).
August 8, 2021 at 11:21
Hi Brit. KCC keeps sending emails asking for more documents. I have not served in Military neither have I a court record. My case number is AF21. Not married. I sent all documents already except court records which is not applicable. What do I do now. I have also written to KCC asking what more to send though no reply.
August 8, 2021 at 15:29
I don’t know what you sent, so I cannot give a solution. However, the year is almost over and your only chance is through the lawsuits.
August 8, 2021 at 18:49
Dear Brit,
I am preparing for an upcoming interview this month. (2021AS9xxx)
I requested an I-134 from a few mentors/friends.
1) Can you recommend resources that explain how the I-134 should be filled out?
2) The USCIS website/instructions are unclear as to how to submit the form. Should the sponsor email me a pdf of their signed I-134? Should they send it to the embassy? Do I need to the original version or just a copy?
With gratitude,
J
August 12, 2021 at 22:33
1. It’s a very simple form with adequate online instructions.
2. They send it to you via email and you show it at the interview if requested by the CO.
August 9, 2021 at 01:42
Dear Brit,
Having some trouble finding any info on the DV2022 times and how long things have taken for previous years.
I’ve been selected with OC7XX case number and submitted the DS-260 form back in May.
How long does the rest of the process generally take until I would get an interview at the consulate? Should I also be putting my documents in as early as possible, even with a low case number?
Ideally would be after mid-next 2022 for me, but I know everything is crazy and uncharted with Australia going into at least another 2-3 month lockdown.
Any advice would be amazing!
Really appreciate your insights and expertise.

August 12, 2021 at 22:43
There is no “normal” at the moment. The opening status of the embassies and tiered prioritization are much more significant than your case number. So – no predictions.
August 9, 2021 at 13:46
Hello Brit, i am 2021SA46X and got DQ in november 9th 2020 for Bogota embassy, i can see in the dv charts webpage that SA region already adjudicated 95% of the region quota, still i didn’t get a 2NL, my question is… when they reach 100% for SA region… is it over for me? bogota seems to chose not to process DV even if they are open since march 2021 and i am afraid this visas where given to other embassies, let me know what you think, best regards

You misunderstand the quotas. They are nowhere near to running out of visas. However, time is what will run out, so now you probably need a good outcome from the lawsuits.

Hi Brit, I’m a dv2021 winner EU390** and part of the Goodluck lawsuit. I listened to the hearing and had some concerns since I have a high case number. If the judge Mehta is to preserve visas will every DV winner benefit from it or will the plaintiffs be prioritized. I checked with the paralegal and she explained that last year the order was issued for all of the winners, however the plaintiffs got priority in scheduling interviews. Now, my questions is if that is for cases that are already in the status ‘ready for scheduling’, or if all the plaintiffs will be scheduled and if there are more preserved visas available the rest of the winners will benefit as well?

I can’t predict what the order will be or how it would work.

Hi Brit! Hope you are well.
I am DV 2020 winner. My question is- My wife will give birth in a few days. If Judge Mehta gives his final decision soon and we get interview date, how can we manage about our new baby? Please advise.
Thank you!

Hello Sir,
I have some questions regarding my dv lottery. I hope i can get answers to those questions.
Case number: 2022AS6**
1. I filled up my DS-260 while i was in Nepal and now i am in Japan. I have sent kcc an unlock request for my DS-260. Should i update my Current address in DS-260 once it gets unlocked?
2. After updating my new address should i send kcc an email regarding change of address and also change of interview location?
3. Once i get documents request from Kcc should i need to send them my visa documents as well?

I suppose you mean you are DV2021?
You should have sent the documents months ago. The year is about to end. The only remaining hope you would have is if the lawsuits achieve some sort of additional time.

Hey brit!
this doesn’t make any sense and quite unfair my case is AF4072 documentarily qualified since december of last year and no 2NL, what to do?
August 14, 2021 at 15:16
I assume your embassy is closed – and that is why you were not scheduled?
Now the only remaining hope is the lawsuits.

When are we gonna hear about the final result of the lawsuit??
August 14, 2021 at 15:22
I don’t know.
