Hello Brit.
Am seeing people with case numbers above mine(2020AF**43** but still haven’t received any email to send my documents.any help?
November 9, 2019 at 04:58
Contact KCC
November 11, 2019 at 10:16
our case number is As11xxx, and we still haven’t received document request email. So, we contacted KCC. They just instructed us to collect supporting civil documents and didn’t provide any further information regarding when to submit. One thing confused us is that in the confirmation pdf, it is mentioned we do not need to submit any document to KCC. I wonder it’s the same for everyone. Any clue?
Thanks
November 11, 2019 at 16:34
It’s the same for everyone.
November 7, 2019 at 23:37
@DV2020AS It is better to call KCC and check the status. I sent mine on Aug 13 and waited 8 weeks when i didnt get confirmation email (i did receive the auto mail saying the documents recieved). they said that they didnt get it so i sent it again on Oct 13 and got the confirmation email on Oct 23. But yours case is not going to be current soon so they will take their time but it doesn’t hurt asking them if they received the documents.
November 8, 2019 at 07:08
@Everest2020
Oh yeah, we also received an auto mail saying they received the documents.
Maybe we should wait for a few more weeks and if they still don’t send any confirmation email, we will give them a call to ask then. Thank you for sharing your experience. 🙂
November 8, 2019 at 09:28
@Everest2020 Kindly what is the content of Confirmation Email? Can you provide the text?
Second, if your received auto reply from KCC, how they say they did not receive your email?
Many thanks
November 7, 2019 at 15:49
Hai , I want know I have already completed my ds260 form but today I again receive email to send the documents. So do I need to send again by documents vi email or I don’t need to send as I have already completed my ds260 almost 3 month ago
November 9, 2019 at 04:30
Ask KCC
November 7, 2019 at 10:05
Hi Mr.Brit,
We’re 2020 DV Selectee with Case Number 2020AS171XX. We’ve submitted our further requested documents on October 22, 2019.
I remember I read from your reader’s comment once about the email confirmation from the KCC about all of our documents have been received and completed “only” if we email to ask them.
So we emailed KCC to confirm about this on November 5, 2019, and we got reply like this:
“Thank you for your inquiry.
After sending documents to [email protected], you will receive an automatic reply to your email. If there are no attachments, the auto reply explains there are no documents attached to the email. If there are attachments, the auto reply explains we received your email and are currently processing your documents. Please allow time for processing of your documents. Documents are processed in numerical order, based on lottery rank number. Once KCC has processed your documents, we will let you know if anything is missing or if we have received everything needed.”
Our question is:
1) Will KCC only send a confirmation email if our case number is going to be current in the next VB?
Thank you Mr.Brit
November 9, 2019 at 04:18
No – it could be at any time.
November 11, 2019 at 02:52
Hi Mr.Brit, thank you for your reply.
We’ll wait for a few weeks more for the confirmation before giving a call to KCC.
November 6, 2019 at 13:05
Hey brit
Are we required to send education and work experience to Kcc or is it only needed on the interview?
November 6, 2019 at 14:09
Just at interview.
November 11, 2019 at 12:12
Mr. Brit., what about if derivatives are excluded(forms not submitted), do i have to submit their documents(birth certs and police clearance) as well? 2. Any delaying time on asking for documentation by Kcc once there are excluded derivatives? thank you once again.

I don’t go america even if i got selected its not like that i am millionaire i am son of that father who never travel through plane but i son of that father who thinks how is this small plane gonna fly so high. He never see down from sitting on plane but he tried how’s that feels when i see from mount everest 8848 square feet he tried that. I am not making anyone fill bad but make good to everyone so that no one feels bad. I can see lottery is choosing to them who don’t need to them, lottery is choosing them who is already rich with negativity humanity and blood money. So lottery choose to them who really needs you and make sure you choose to that one even other peoples say that the right choice.

My case no is 110** from Nepal.
Thank you sir ?

Email them.
November 1, 2019 at 14:28
Hi Simon,
I was selected for the DV2020, but haven’t submitted my DS260 Form yet. The reason is because I need to delay my interview as much as possible due to health issues. My case number is 2020EU25xxx. I was calculating that it would become current around March – April. I already received the email from KCC asking for the documents but I haven’t sent it yet.
1. Can I apply for the DV2021 even if I was chosen for DV2020?
2. What happens if I submit the DS260 after my case number gets current? Will it delay the interview?
3. What is the latest time when I can submit the DS260 without risking my chance for the interview? I was thinking about waiting for the result of the DV2021, and if I am not chosen, I would go with my DV2020 application.
I know that this is not ideal, but since the health care is very expensive in the USA, I need to sort it out in my country. Especially with the new health insurance requirement.
Thank you,
Mona
November 2, 2019 at 15:44
1. Yes
2. They would schedule after processing the ds260 and documents.
3. That would be OK.
November 1, 2019 at 14:03
Dear good morning? First I want to appreciate about your valuable information. I am DV 2020 winner with Case number AF48XXX. The e-mail that I have used while filling DS 260 is different from the one that I have used during the entry.
Which e-mail do KCC uses to send me notification for document submission?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Simon, we are concerning about recent proclamation on health care. We are a family of 5 (me, spouse and 3 children under 12 years old).
1. Any update on this?
2. How to demonstrate to the counselor officer regarding issues?
3. Will it be required for only spouse or accompanying children?
Thanks for your advice. Yesterday I just received an email back to confirm that they have received our all required documents and in addition to this email it mentioned about health care requirement as in below:
*** New Presidential Proclamation on Health Care: Beginning November 3, 2019, you must be able to demonstrate to the consular officer at the time of interview you will be covered by approved health insurance within 30 days of entry into the United States or have the financial resources to pay for reasonably foreseeable medical costs. Inability to meet this requirement will result in the denial of the visa application. For complete requirements and/or exemptions, visit https://travel.state.gov/healthcare.***

Hi SIMON!!!
I could never thank you enough. I translated my documents for KCC, although I will be interviewed in my country (papers are in Arabic), I still translated the documents.
1- Is it OK if i send the translated documents along with the original documents, or unnecessary?
2- If its unnecessary, can I still send them if there’s no harm?
Thank you!
October 24, 2019 at 17:29
1. Send them since you have them.

Hi Brit,
I have a question, i studied in China for one academic year which was excatly 11 months, do you think its necessary to get the police clearance certificate just to be on the safe side? TIA
October 24, 2019 at 16:02
That would normally be my advice – yes.
October 23, 2019 at 21:52
Hi Brit, as a couple are we both to use our passport in time to play the dv? or only the applicant is to use their passport to play?
October 24, 2019 at 00:04
Only the applicant. Just as the instructions say.
October 23, 2019 at 19:44
Have KCC started 2NL for December?
October 24, 2019 at 00:06
Yes
October 24, 2019 at 01:13
If i re-sent the docs on oct 13 , (got the auto reply mail but not the documents has been processed mail), and my CN is 3100 range (VB December-5000 Current for Nepal) will i be interview during December or it will go beyond December?
October 24, 2019 at 15:54
If the **submission** of documents is only in October thatis to late to be scheduled for December. However, you said “resubmitted” so I don’t know what you mean by that.
October 24, 2019 at 20:11
acutally i submitted my documents on Aug 13 but there was no response. i called KCC on Oct 11 and they said that it looks like they didnt receive it. So i resubmitted again on Oct 11, this morning i got email saying ” Congratulations! Our records indicate that you have submitted all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing…..” So i am hoping i will still get December Interview date.
October 24, 2019 at 22:14
Then no – not December. January.
October 23, 2019 at 13:13
Hello Brit
My wife and me, we completed DS 260 on 20th June, nothing happened after that. I’m not sure what is the next step. We need to wait to ask us for addition document or we need to send them this additional documents ()?
I’m worry I don’t want to make same mistake.
October 23, 2019 at 16:55
Read this to start…
https://britsimonsays.com/dv2020-basic-questions/
October 22, 2019 at 18:17
Hi BritSimon, sorry for silly question, but could you please clarify this moment, i’m a little confused.
‘All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which the application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations.’
Do i need to translate documents from Armenian, if application for a visa is being made in Armenia. Or i need to translate all documents , which are not in English ?
October 23, 2019 at 00:10
Armenian in Armenia is OK – no translations needed.
October 22, 2019 at 05:15
Hi Brit,
Do KCC notify us if the documents are ok and to their satisfaction?
Thanks
October 22, 2019 at 22:56
If you ask them, yes.
October 21, 2019 at 22:22
Hi?
1- Can i unlock DS260 to put my new passport if KCC has already sent me the email for Documents (the email that is being sent to everyone), i am cn Eu39***
2- Can it delay my interview (i now that is the next year)
October 22, 2019 at 04:33
1. Yes
2. Yes – delay sending documents.
October 21, 2019 at 22:17
HELLO.
Im from Morocco and i live there ; winner 2020 AF48XXX, i receive Email from KCC to send my document,

October 22, 2019 at 04:33
Read the email you received – it explains everything.
October 21, 2019 at 21:32
Hi Sir
I had a question. When I applied for DV-2020 I used a different email from the one that I used when I completed the DS-260 is this a problem?
October 22, 2019 at 04:28
No
October 21, 2019 at 20:39
Great Job!
Mr. Bri Simon, hopefully all is pretty good.
May you help me through breaking down farther on this; “Read the reciprocity page and follow the instructions ”
Honestly, I tried several times trying to find it but I failed miserably….
Any word from you, greatly appreciated!
October 22, 2019 at 04:24
If you had read the instructions you would know. But otherwise google “reciprocity page”.
October 21, 2019 at 20:13
Dear Brit,
2020AS21xxx
I submitted DS260 in mid June. I got Documents Request email today.
I left Iraq since I was Six years old with my family and never gone back ever. Lived in Dubai since then until 18 years old when I moved to Canada to study and now work in Canada. Do I have to provide police certificate from Iraq (which is very complicated and near impossible) or Dubai and Canada police certificates will be enough?
Kind Regards
October 22, 2019 at 04:23
Dubai and Canada. The instructions make that clear if you had read them.
October 22, 2019 at 04:30
Thank you dear Brit. You gave me a great relief. The instructions were not clear, since it says (any time in your life) in (Lived in your country of nationality for more than 6 months at any time in your life)!

Hi Brit Simon,
Just wanted to verify, this change is only for those outside the US, so the change does not apply to those applying for AOS?

Hey Brit, My CN is 2020AF12XXX and the December visa bulletin is at 12000 for Africa…. I have not received the mail asking for submission of document… Please what do you suggest i do?
Should i send the documents?
October 22, 2019 at 04:07
Email KCC if you want.
November 7, 2019 at 16:03
Hello blessing how are you, hope you got some information regarding submission of document? my case number is not current yet but its close and i haven’t recieved any mail as well to send my docs. So I’m a bit worrried
October 21, 2019 at 09:04
Hi Simon,
Hope all is well with you.
I’ve received an email from KCC on the 15th of October to send the documents, it doesn’t say that I have a deadline when the documents are sent. My case number is AF00067*** and so I shouldn’t hear anything until next summer probably.
When would be the best time to send the documents in digital form? Is there a deadline? When is too late?
Thanks,
Ari
October 22, 2019 at 03:02
You can send them at any time over the next few months.
October 20, 2019 at 21:53
Hi Brit, we saw more than 15K are selectees of Asia Region but we hear there are Asia cases goes upto 30K. 1. So, can you share the analysis on this please. As a novice in this field, I see miss match between actual selectees and the given cases. 2. In all the visa bulletin, I see number of cases separately given for Asia and two Asian countries (Iran and Nepal). So, do these two countries cases numbers are included in actual Asia selectees number (15k) or is excluded? Thanks
October 21, 2019 at 03:58
1. Please read my articles from July on this subject.
2. Included.
October 20, 2019 at 21:18
Mr.Bri Simon,
Like I said up there first, Police Certicate from Countries like Iraq ..its complicated as we were in Military bases and now no longer there and for God’s sake, to get one, it needs in person at one of their consulates or embassies…
1.Do you think there could be any other alternative?
2.Can that one itself cause some delays to my case ?
Thank you!
October 20, 2019 at 17:05
Dear Brit,
In your video you said that for submiting the doc. Is a new email address, but in the email we receive from kcc it said that we need te send the doc in the same email used in the years before. ?.
1. If there is a new email address we need te wait until we have the notofication or we should continue to send the docs on the ” old ” email.
Regards
October 21, 2019 at 02:38
Wait until you get an email. The address doesn’t matter.
October 20, 2019 at 16:05
Hey Brit.my case number AF202012xxx, i still haven’t received email requesting for documents…
Should i be worried?
October 21, 2019 at 00:23
No
October 20, 2019 at 13:32
Hi, I’m from Venezuela my case number is 2020SA00002XXX. I’m struggling to get all the documents because of the situation in Venezuela – government is delaying all civil documents (passports, birth certificates, etc etc). I have checked previous visa bulletins and the numbers for south America never get as higher as 2000. Do you think I will get interviewed? Thanks for all the posts and information.
October 20, 2019 at 18:37
You will be current. Numbers are different this year.
October 20, 2019 at 12:33
Hi Simon,
I received the email from KCC to send in the required documents. I have all the documents but I am in doubt whether to send these now or wait until early next year. The reason is that the criminal record from the current country of residence should be no older than 6 months at the time of the interview. Mine is dated from end of May 2019 so expires end of Nov 2019. I estimate that my case number will get current somewhere in July 2020 so I plan to collect a new criminal record for my interview somewhere in February 2020. Will there be a delay in the processing of my application if I submit the criminal record that I have now? Would it be better to wait and submit in Feb with the new record?
Thank you for your feedback!
October 20, 2019 at 18:15
Wait a couple of months.
November 3, 2019 at 18:29
Hi Mr. Britsimon
I received an email from KCC the 23th of October 2019 requesting for my documents, and fortunately for me all my documents were ready as soon as possible and submitted them the 29th. Thanks so much for the guidance.
October 20, 2019 at 11:19
I have submitted my DS 260, but didn’t receive an email asking for documents. What should I do?
October 20, 2019 at 18:12
Wait
October 20, 2019 at 10:49
2020AF39###
Thank you for this detailed video Sir.
For the email address which KCC uses to send notifications, hope it is that which we registered in our DS260 forms. I ask because someone asked earlier if it is possible they send to an email address different from that used in DS260 such as email used to enter the DV.
Thank you
October 20, 2019 at 18:09
Doesn’t matter which email address you use.
October 20, 2019 at 10:08
Hi sir,
I still have not received email for further document from KCC . My CN is 2020AS0000121** but most of the DV winner are received their email .Can i send the document now without receiving email . Please suggest
October 20, 2019 at 18:09
There is no need to do that – patience.
October 20, 2019 at 09:43
Mr.Brit Simon,
Hopefully you’re doing fine….Thank you so much for your incredible efforts, dearly, we’re proud of you and your work!
Here some questions;
1.Truly the document email came in two days back, i’vent started even the Ds 260 form yet..do you think I may be caught up by time since my CN 2020AF66xxx?
2.Since 2006,I’ve been in some of Middle east Countries serving along side American Forces,as security Specialist, Do you think at any point of interviews, there would be a need to prove that or ask about such?
3.Then, since I’m alone with no derivatives at all , this section of Police certificate, For example, by then, I was in Iraq, during “Operation of Iraq Freedom” Now, I’m in Afghanistan …Do I need to apply one from each Country since I’ve lived there more six months ?
Once again, Mr. Brit Simon, all your efforts, time are greatly appreciated!
October 20, 2019 at 18:09
1. You have a long time to wait.
2. You may be asked for information about that, yes.
3. Yes
October 20, 2019 at 21:06
Mr.Brit Simon,
Thank you so much for the great job!
Though, for the Police Certificates, it’s now a complicated situation since,in both those countries, we were, till date , in military bases, and as I try to check through internet, like in Iraq, to apply for one, One must be in person at one of their consulates or embassies.
Honestly, I won’t happen soon or later.
October 21, 2019 at 03:55
Read the reciprocity page and follow instructions.
October 20, 2019 at 05:23
Hi Brit,
Sorry, but where is the link to the article you mentioned in video?

October 20, 2019 at 05:19
Hi Simon, when submitting documents I am not married or never been married so do I need any document to prove that (like a document that proves I have never been married)? I asked h these bcz People who have been winners in past DV’s said it’s needed and I don’t think it is. So I wanted to be sure. Sorry if it’s silly and u have said it before. Thanks!
October 20, 2019 at 17:27
In some countries such a document exists – but it is rare. You would know about it already if it applied to you.
October 20, 2019 at 03:36
Dear Brit,
I was asked for documents, however my documents are still not ready i maybe abel to make everything ready by a 1 or 2 week. I would like to know if i should email KCC and inform them that my documents are not ready at the moment and will email them as soon as i make them ready? or i can just wait until my document get ready and then respond to their emails along my documents.

Too early – and few interviews.

Hello Brit,
Does this mean better response rate this year?
Even people that didn’t know that they are selected will receive this email??
Thanks!

No. You cannot add a boyfriend. Your marital status is divorced. If you get selected you can marry your boyfriend and add him to your case.

Hello
I think it is clearer and more obvious there are people who do not understand english and it is difficult to understand the video.
can you write what you have in the video? thank you Brit

You have told me this before. I heard you. There is no need to keep saying that. I choose to post videos and this particular message is the same thing I have written here 100+ times.

Hello Simon,
I have asked you for not receiving the email regarding submission of documents, and I still haven’t. I have sent KCC an email, and they’ve told me that it might take several weeks to send me an email regarding submission of documents.
While not receiving an email, I have a question regarding ds260. I have worked in the states, but the company close the location where I worked for. However while I was putting information, they require me for the phone number, so I put phone number in main office in different state. I left the US right after, so I didn’t work for the company at main office.
Do you think it’s ok to leave it as is and explain at interview? Or should I unlock my ds260 and change phone number to 000-000-0000?
By the way, my case number is 2020AS14xxx.
Thank you verwn much for your time for the information as always.

Leave it as it is.

Hi Simon,
Thank you for your comments.
I finally received an email asking for sending documents. I now have little confusion on document names.
It says ;
– Your DV case number;
– The full name of the applicant whose document you scanned; and
– The document name or form number.
For example:
2020AF00938653_my first name_my last name_Passport.pdf
2020AF00938653_my first
name_my last name_Birth_Certificate.pdf
Since I am applying for myself and my son, I wonder how do I name my son’s documents?
Is it like:
2020AF00938653_my son’s first name_my son’s (our) last name_Passport.pdf
Or if there is particular way, please let me know.
Thank you very much for your help as always.

After submitting Dv-2022 application successfully, I wasn’t able to copy my reference number, I was trying to take a screen shots from my phone and couldn’t retrieve the number as I lost the screen. What should I do?
As a requirement, one has to provide a email on the application for that person to contacted in case he’s selected.

You will be able to retrieve the confirmation number in May but need to know the precise entry details (name, date of birth and email address used).
