Hello brit thanks for your informative website. I am a DV winner of 2021 and i had a question:
Although the background of my dv entry photo is a white wall, it looks almost gray due to the camera flash and is a bit dark . But my skin is almost in it’s true color. Could this color of background be the reason for disqualification of my case at the interview?
On the day of the interview, I will take perfect photos with a white background.
May I still have a chance to get a US visa?
If I am invited to an interview, does that mean that the background of my photo was accepted? Or its up to the CO’s opinion?
I’m a little worried about the low backlight of my photo.

I am DV winner off 2021 (Nepal) my case number is 2021AS00009120 as off today above case number 9840 already receive the mail from KCC to submitting document for further process. And i did not receive yet. Would you advice what should we do WAIT or send mail to [email protected] about our case number not receive mail.

Hello Brit! It’s been 6 weeks since I submitted the documents required by KCC but I haven’t had any feedback. I don’t know if I was supposed to submit my DS260 form alongside the required documents? Should I be worried?

Ignore the 6 weeks. It’s not always accurate. I assume you have sent your DS260? Are you current yet?

I am DV winner of 2021 and I’ve already submitted documents to KCC. The problem is I’ve made some mistakes like spelling mistake in surname and date mistake in address(living since) in my DS260 form. I’ve already submitted my documents more than 6 weeks ago but haven’t got any response. Should I be worried?

But you should ask to unlock your form to correct those mistakes.

I received email from KCC to submit my documents on 8th October 2019 and i have submitted all documents on 14th October 2019 , I received Auto reply confirm receiving the documents
it was mentioned to follow up after 6 week if i do not hear from them , i did follow up last week and suddenly today i received email asking to submit the documents a gain ! I don’t know what shall i do ?

Look very carefully at what you sent and whether something was missing from your documents.

1,when I attach document I rename pdf first name middle name and last name sequentially. Does this has problem?
2,when I send documents The autoreply says You should expect an email from KCC in the next 3-6 weeks. What will be the next email from kcc?

hello Brit I was lucky to be selected at the dv lottery 2020, I completed and confirmed the DS 260 in May, my CN AF20200050 **, I received the email to transmit documents on 27 / 08/2019, nevertheless I did not transmit the documents until 23/10/2019 and I received the first email on site and just after 4 days this email “Congratulations! Our records indicate that you have submitted all required documentation to the Kentucky Consular Center and are ready to be scheduled for an interview when your case number becomes current. Interviews are scheduled numerically based on case numbers that have completed processing ”
my question is this: Is it that I get an interview for the month of January?
