Judge Mehta has issued his order on the Gomez case. He has instructed the government to issue the DV2020 cases until the 9095 visas are used.
There will need to be some details worked out about timing and how it will work, so it will be a week or two before we know all the details, but this is awesome news!!!

Are the 9095 visas defined interms of individual cases or actual people… moreover we know that DV alocates 55000 visas every year, does it mean actual people getting visas or number of cases getting visas??

hello mate what does group 5 mean, are there other groups .Very happy for DV2020 winners its good news for everyone really. this decision also helps future lawsuits. DV 2022 will be negatively impacted if processing until jan 31 is prioritized for dv 2020…but it was inevitable frankly… if only they increased processing capacity and changed tier list temporarly until the huge backlog is fixed atleast… that would avoid dv2022 lawsuit which is bad news for curtis 🙂 haha

Checking Visa status in CEAC yelds “Invalid Application ID or Case Number.” (I have trimmed 0, also checked with confirmation #, same thing)
Is it normal, should I be worried?

There are a number of cases that have been deleted from the CEAC system. We don’t know why those particular cases are deleted, or what it means, and we have seen it in previous years. BUT I don’t believe it will cause any problem once processing resumes.

Hi Brit and forum readers,
I am now able to see my case “At NVC”. And I think I have a clue what is messing the system and why some people see “Invalid Application ID or Case Number.”. The status is shown if you check DV case in CEAC system and select “NonImigrant” for visa application type. I believe browser is passing “NonImmigrant” as value in the request.
Solutions:
1. Update Chrome (this fixed the problem in my case)
2. Use Incognito Tab or another browser(Plugins might bother the select in dropdown)
3. If you navigate to status page via ceac links-> Remove “?App=NIV” and refresh

They are probably going to go in case number order, and handle cases ready for scheduling first. So – you probably have very slim chance, but we will know more in a few days.

I’m 2021AF9k, DQ since December 2020: I live in country A, but country A has adjudicated only seven (7) DV2021. I wrote country B to accept my DV case for interview and they agreed, they told me to ask country A to transfer my case to them (country B).
But I’m confused, I have not been scheduled yet, the embassy in my country A is not prioritizing DVs. When I asked KCC they said since my case is current they can no longer unlock it, I should wait to be scheduled and then ask the embassy to unlock it; I wouldn’t be scheduled because the embassy in country A is not prioritizing DVs. What can I do? What’s your thoughts?

You should speak to KCC again asking for a change in interview venue (not to unlock). However, they may refuse. In that case you will have to hope for the lawsuit.

Your case number is high, and since they will probably process in case number order you are still at risk. But if the police cert is easy/cheap to obtain, do that.
