Hello,
We are a family of four, I am the principal winner, together with my husband and two kids.
We would like to delay our entry as much as possible. But we don’t want to risk running out of case numbers, in case we submit DS 260 too late.
Is it possible to submit separately? I mean I submit first, and the rest of my family later, maybe 10 months after. I hope that I will be called for the interview first, and the rest of my family would be interviewed later. How would the process work?

Elisa, To process Ds 260 takes 3 to 4 months.And you as the principle applicant your case is processed as one I guess you have to attend interview all same time. What’s your case number, and which region. What you are planning sounds bit risky.. Your decision might spoil your chances of getting interview if you leave it too late. That’s my opinion,…but Brit the expert on this matters.

No you cannot do that. Delay all the cases or none. You can delay submitting the DS260 until January/February and that would mean a summer interview. Then the principal can enter before the derivatives – as long as everyone has entered before the 6 months after the visa was approved. Once you have entered, you can leave immediately for up to 1 year.

I need ur help.
I have got 2 questions plz: My wife’s passport will be expired on Nov 2016. 1) Does it matter if my wife’s passport change before the visa interview date after submitting the DS260? bcoz the govnt (Uzbekistan) has started switching gradually the biometrik paspt system, and from July 1, 2014 Uzb citizens travelling abroad only by biometrik passports. However, she must change her paspt soon.
2) I have 2 childs ages of 3, and new-born accompyning with me, but they don’t have passports yet. They have only birth certificate. What should I choose on Pers. Info 2 page ds260 travel doc? I see there is no option to enter birth cert. details even…

So you say, In DS 260 application, in section personal information 2, for “Nationality” I can enter my Native country, and for the travel documentation I can enter my Canadian passport information?
But this may be conflicting, because the next question it asks if I have a second citizenship. That may mean the above section should belong to only one nationality.
I cannot enter my native passport info because it expired. I can say “other travel document” but I don’t know if it is a good idea.

Enter Canadian information in section 2 and the native country information in the second citizenship section. That does not conflict with your nativity.

Hello. In addiditon to the native citizenship, I also hold the Canadian citizenship that I acquired thrugh regular immigration process. My question is about the travel documents asked at the beginning of the application. Can I use the Canadian passport for entry into US after obtaining the green card?

Your GC will be connected to one of your citizenships. your should use that one for entry.

I have not check 2016 yet cuz the web page is so very slow to load here in Liberia.
Any way back to 2015, I have requested KCC to unlock my CASE the quest actions are
1. Will there unlock both of us (my wife and I forms? Or do we have to make request for each form to be unlock?
2. Do they treat resubmitted forms as new forms which takes about 2_3 months to process?
3. Given that our forms are unlock and resubmitted in this May with addition of our middle names in the ( given name slot at the only change made will we still get an interview in Aug. or September at we are expecting?)

That depends on how many winners they selected in the first round. If the number on selectees letter is something around 125k – then a 2nd draw is unlikely.

If they select a small amount of selectees there might be a second draw. There have also been system problems in past draws so they suggest keeping your number.
