The CEAC data was published so I am publishing several videos, one for each region, to explain the chances for case numbers. This video is for EUROPE region and includes a prediction – even though I generally avoid predictions because some of you take the predictions as “certainty” – which it cannot be.
Watch the video and feel free to ask any questions or let me know your thoughts about the predictions.

Can I mention a new address in other country in DS form while I am still living in this country?
May 15, 2024 at 10:26
You should strive to tell the truth…

Hello Mr. Brit,
Thank you for your help.
Could you please advise with my case? EU22k, I was assigned Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as I reside here. I heard Abu Dhabi is crowded and there is a risk I will not get an interview. Shall I change it to my home country Kyrgyzstan?
May 14, 2024 at 18:13
DV2024? If so you are probably already locked in to ABD.
May 15, 2024 at 00:32
It is for DV 2025
May 15, 2024 at 02:20
I really don’t know if it is better to change the location to my country or keep as it is? And what can be a reason to change?
May 15, 2024 at 07:22
For 2025, it is too early to know the number of selectees and therefore we cannot be sure how high your number is – meaning whether you will get an interview or not. If you do, then ABD isn’t as bad as you seem to think – they actually have been heroic in their efforts to get DV cases through their embassy.
So – stop worrying about this now, there is plenty of time to know more, and assess the embassy performance early in 2025. If you decide you would want to move, you actually have to move to another country and change your address – because the government want people to interview where they live.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
So if I want to change the location next year during Feb or March would it be still possible?
Yes, I am a citizen of Kyrgyzstan so I could say I am going back to my country since I resigned from my company in UAE therefore I am requesting a change of post.

It is possible if you change address before becoming current.

Hi Simon and thank you for all the hard work you put in these videos. They have been really helpful! My case number is EU34XXX and my embassy is Athens, GR. I understand that I will be near the cutoff so I will not know what will happen until July-August. I would really appreciate it if you could clarify the following questions for me.
1. Even though in your analysis you expect a higher cutoff than last year, the cutoff for March this year is quite lower than the corresponding one of last year (16,000 vs 26,000). Isn’t that alarming?
2. Could you shed some light on the final steps of the process? Let’s say I get an interview mid September. What other steps need to be completed by the end of the FY before I actually get my visa and be able to migrate to the US.
3. Can my dependent(wife, also Greek) forfeit their GC now and join me at a later date through family sponsorship? Our baby daughter is already a US citizen by birth so I don’t think she will be included in the process and can stay with her mother.
4. I think Athens hasn’t processed any visas yet which might make sense since the number of selectees is low (66). Do you have any reason to believe that it would be better to transfer my interview location to Bern,CH ? I might be able to do this because my wife and daughter are permanent residents there.
Thanks in advance for your time and responses here. Happy 2024!

Hi Simon,
I hope you’re well!
Hoping that you can help me with a matter that has given me a minor heart attack. I just filed my AOS paperwork this week (EU6xxx) and was perusing the DV Charts this morning.
When I popped my case number into the ‘how many cases are before and after me’ section, I was informed ‘case number is a hole’. No errors were made, I pasted my case number directly from my 1NL.
Should I be concerned? My heart is in my throat right now

So he have a chance for a visa yes?Because I was really concern when I saw in status check just for 2 I didn’t See the 3 !I saw ready for boath but the 3 I didn’t See it.Britsimon Hod Bless You!We really appreciate!

My parents have case number 2024EU6XXX , together with my 21 year old brother, have already sent all the documents, including DS 260 and everything, and they did the interview at the end of January! Received confirmation for 2Nl And for everything! My brother was 20 years old when dad won the lottery! Based on the formula I explained earlier for the freezing age, my brother is due in January, but when I see the CEAC, only 2 people are reflected there! Why is this happening? The person who completed the documents says that I see all three in the system! Please answer! Thank you very much for your valuable help!

This is a normal thing in CEAC. Ignore it.

Hi Simon, My case number is EU43xxx, so it seems to be at risk. I’m currently in the US on an F-1 visa and I’m close to completing my PhD this August. If my number becomes current (though I highly doubt it), I plan to file for early filing AOS. Before pursuing the green card, I’ve prepared all the necessary documents and I meet the requirements for the EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver), yet put that on hold after the selection last May. In light of the CEAC data, do you think it would be better to submit the application for the EB-2 NIW now, or would it be better to wait until July? Are the two applications incompatible?

This is something you should discuss with your immigration attorney.
January 13, 2024 at 08:09
Scrap the above; I needed to remove the 0s but capitalize the EU.
PHEW!

Dear Simon,
I appreciate the video and the explanations. My case number is EU52XXX. I’ve been participating in the US lottery for a decade, and this was my first time being selected. Unfortunately, it seems the timing isn’t right for me. However, I’ve entered again for the 2025 lottery. Never lose hope! I ll see you in May for the new selection..
Best
Rob

Hi Simon,
What do you think, Budapest embassy will perform well? (no interviews yet, but i guess because it is a small country, with few selected)
My case number is EU32xxx.
Thank you and all the bests,
T
January 4, 2024 at 10:00
There is no reason to think it won’t, but it does very little visa work.
January 4, 2024 at 07:10
Thanks for the analysis.
My number is 2024EU13XXX
nearly there…so to say….
I guess it all depends on my embassy now… ZGB, Croatia. They haven’t issuesd a single dv lottery visa in October or November….
So I am not crazy happy, if we account the behaviour of our appointed embassies.
But lets hope for the best…
thanks again !

Good luck!

Hello 👋
Bonne année 🎊
Should I be worried for EU311** interview location Paris and approximate which month the visa bulletin can go up to 311** ?
Thank you for your patience and the time you take to respond all this questions and for all information that you have been giving us for free 🙏❤️🥰
January 4, 2024 at 09:33
I can’t say precisely, but probably around July/August
January 4, 2024 at 04:33
Hi simon. I am from Ankara and my case number is 11xxx. Do you think I have a chance?
January 4, 2024 at 09:28
Maybe. I can’t predict how embassy behavior will change.
