So – a BIG thank you to Xarthisius who has stayed up all night and gathered the CEAC data for DV2025. You can now go to the link below and get all sorts of insights into the distribution of cases, highest case numbers per region, derivative rates, density of cases, embassy performance so far and so on. Those of us that like to monitor the DV lottery program know how important this data is.
So – go to the site and have a look. I will be recording a video shortly to explain the data and how it can help us understand the program.

From Morocco, case number 2025af239** is there a chance ?
July 19, 2025 at 09:34
It depends on the embassy. I don’t know what they will do.
July 17, 2025 at 05:40
Hi
Can you do video for 2026
July 17, 2025 at 05:57
I do, constantly.
July 17, 2025 at 05:38
Hi Sir
My case number is 2026AS16###
Any chance ?
July 17, 2025 at 05:57
Too early to know.
July 16, 2025 at 01:19
How long does it take for case status to change from “At NVC” to “ready” after visa bulletin?
July 16, 2025 at 08:29
It varies. The cases tend to be scheduled to embassies in alphabetical order, and first the cases become “in transit”, then the embassy themselves update the status to ready – but sometimes they do that slowly. So – it can take a few days or a few weeks.
July 14, 2025 at 04:13
What is refused221g slip on date of interview followed by 25 questionnaire the next two days from the embassy in Monrovia?
Though passport and other documents were retained by the embassy.
Case is said to be in legally mandated administrative processing while CAEC website shows REFUSED, but the data here shows REFUSED221g…
What should one be expecting??
July 14, 2025 at 08:43
221g is a type of refusal status that can be overcome. So fill out the questionnaire asap.
July 8, 2025 at 22:47
Hi my case number 2025AS12600…Will I be able to join the interview? I haven’t received any email yet.
July 9, 2025 at 00:01
Maybe
June 27, 2025 at 20:18
Hi, mr Simon
I am a university student. When I filled out the DS-260, I stated that I am a student and that I do not work, but I sometimes deliver orders(food from restaurants) and I did not mention that in the DS-260.
Is this a problem?
June 27, 2025 at 20:47
I am student in Russia but i am not Russian
I work as delivery man is that a problem, that i didn’t mention it in the DS-260?
I hope that m’y question it’s clear
June 28, 2025 at 00:06
No
June 28, 2025 at 07:13
No, what ? i didn’t understand
June 28, 2025 at 12:00
You asked ONE question “I work as delivery man is that a problem, that i didn’t mention it in the DS-260?”
The answer is no it is not a problem.
June 28, 2025 at 16:22
Thank you very much sir
I was so scared that i didn’t mention it in the ds 260 may cause a problem at interview
June 20, 2025 at 13:46
Hi simon
I have a question about social media. I used to have accounts on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, but I forgot the passwords because I haven’t used them in years. Will not including them in the DS application process affect the interview process? Thank you.
June 20, 2025 at 15:09
Include them. They ask for the account name, not passwords.
June 20, 2025 at 21:57
Can I delete these accounts because I don’t use them without having to list them in DS?
June 21, 2025 at 05:09
No. That would be very suspicious.
June 21, 2025 at 06:03
Thank you
June 18, 2025 at 05:37
I’m from Kenya my case number is 16k, I have not received a 2nl since I filled my ds260 back then in November………, What could be the problem
June 18, 2025 at 11:39
Backlog at the embassy…
June 16, 2025 at 05:41
Hi Simon, I am based in Cameroon, in Africa. My case number is 65k. Will I have the chance to get a visa? I’ve already submitted my DS260
June 16, 2025 at 16:47
I don’t know…
June 14, 2025 at 20:15
Hello Simon, I appreciate your efforts in providing advice about the lottery. I just want to inquire about what is happening at the Casablanca Consulate. The schedules are stopped and the interviews are postponed every time. Is there an explanation?
June 14, 2025 at 22:41
I have no explanation for their actions.
June 14, 2025 at 18:08
Inquiry about the interview date, knowing that my number appeared in the February bulletin (morocco)
June 14, 2025 at 18:25
Casablanca embassy has been restricting interviews, so there is no a backlog. I don’t know whether they will take cases in the final two months.
June 8, 2025 at 02:01
Hello Simon,
we are concerned about Donald Trump’s new order saying that Afghan people cannot travel to the United States. Will this order also affect the winners of the 2025 lottery? Please explain.
June 9, 2025 at 22:05
Yes the ban means that DV winners from Afghanistan will not be issued with visas
June 10, 2025 at 11:41
Hello, from the look of Dv visa bulletin for August 2025, the cut off is at 50,000 and my case is 53000 do l have hope for interview
June 10, 2025 at 14:08
In September, yes.
June 11, 2025 at 00:46
The case numbers that were activated in June for April and August show that Iran has also increased the number of activated cases, meaning it has not been blocked. Surely Afghanistan has not been blocked either?
June 11, 2025 at 11:19
People from banned countries are still being scheduled for interviews, because some of them may be able to claim exemption from the ban (which has only been in force since Monday). However, people are going to their interviews and receiving final refusals because of the ban. The ban is in force, and it affects all 19 countries.
June 4, 2025 at 23:44
Hello Simon.
Donald Trump’s new executive order prohibits the entry of citizens of several countries, including Afghanistan, into the United States. Will the 2025 DV program also stop accepting these individuals?
June 5, 2025 at 00:05
I did a 90 minute video discussing that this evening. There is an article here, and a video on my channel.
BUT – bottom line, yes it will impact DV2025 hopefuls who have not yet received their visa.
June 4, 2025 at 17:03
Hi Mr. Simon,
How would you evaluate that a case number 2025EU10839 is issued at Ankara Embassy in May. After the case number 2025EU5653, It jumps to 7K and 9K.
I appreciate your time and concern.
June 4, 2025 at 18:30
I have been explaining how to achieve that for 2 or 3 years…
Some people listen.
People can get their case scheduled at another embassy, then transfer it to the embassy they prefer.
2025EU10839 was scheduled in Vienna, then transferred to ANK.
June 1, 2025 at 13:58
Hello Simon, thanks very much for all the informations you give out.
Can you explain the current status in VB. That’s all cases becomes current in Region.
June 1, 2025 at 15:12
When a region says current in the region, it means any case number is eligible for interview, but that does not mean every case will be interviewed.
June 1, 2025 at 04:41
Hi Simon i wish you doing ok
Well My my case nuber is af45k algeria
Did i have the chance or what ?
June 1, 2025 at 10:26

May 30, 2025 at 05:36
Hi Simon, is it possible, for example, that the embassy we chose is not busy and has capacity before our case number is officially announced on the Visa Bulletin website, and is it possible that we receive an email with the interview date from the embassy we chose for the interview before our case number arrives?
May 30, 2025 at 13:19
No.

Help Needed: Changing DV Interview Location Despite Embassy Delays
Hello everyone 👋
I’m a DV 2025 selectee with case number AF33XXX, and my number just became current in the latest Visa Bulletin. I’ve already submitted my DS-260 months ago, but unfortunately, my assigned embassy is very slow and hasn’t scheduled many interviews yet 😕.
I’m thinking of changing my interview location to another embassy where processing is faster (possibly Tunisia or another country), and I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with that.
📌 My main questions:
Is it possible to transfer the case without having a residence permit in the new country?
Can I transfer my interview location even though my number appeared in the last bulletin?
Any advice or shared experience would be really appreciated! 🙏
May 28, 2025 at 09:52
1. Sometimes yes.
2. It is much harder to move once you are current. KCC don’t cooperate at that time. This is why I SCREAM for people to do this BEFORE they are current.
May 25, 2025 at 09:57
Hello BritSimon,
I’m a DV2025 selectee with case number AF34640, and I’m currently assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Morocco.
Unfortunately, this embassy has not issued any interview appointments for the past four months, and the Visa Bulletin is still stuck at 21,000 as of now. This delay is creating a lot of concern for high case number selectees like me.
Because of this situation, I’m considering transferring my case to another embassy such as Tunisia, Egypt, or France.
I would like to ask:
1. Is it possible to request a transfer to one of these embassies?
2. Do I need to be a legal resident in those countries to qualify for a transfer?
3. Or can I apply for a tourist visa and attend the interview there if I get scheduled?
Thank you so much for your help and your ongoing updates — they’re very appreciated.
May 25, 2025 at 18:13
1. Yes, but MUCH easier before you go current.
2. No – but you need some sort of justification.
3. See 2
May 28, 2025 at 09:33
Can I talk with you? My case number is 33K, and I’m facing the same issue. I want to change my interview location from the Moroccan embassy
May 24, 2025 at 03:00
Hi Simon, how are you doing?
Thank you so much effort you you applying.
I really appreciate.
What does it mean when Visa was approved on the day of the interview,
Next day status change to AP.
May 24, 2025 at 10:04
If you mean the status is shown in CEAC as “Administrative Processing” – that is good news as it means the visa is being printed.
May 24, 2025 at 10:57
Alright thanks 🙏🙏 so much Simon.
May 24, 2025 at 11:00
Yes, it’s the CEAC statu
May 23, 2025 at 05:12
Dear BritSimon,
I would like to sincerely thank you for your continuous support and for the valuable information you share regarding the Diversity Visa (DV) program. Your insights have been incredibly helpful to many of us navigating this complex process.
I am a DV2025 winner from Ethiopia. I recently received a “READY” status update on the CEAC website. However, I have not seen any relevant updates on the DV visa bulletin charts, nor have I received the 2NL (Second Notification Letter) on the https://dvprogram.state.gov website.
Please advise me on what steps I should take next. Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any guidance you could offer on selecting a suitable place to live in the U.S. for a family in our situation.
Thank you once again for your dedication and continued support.
May 23, 2025 at 15:05
There is a global system glitch that is stopping the 2NLs showing up in the ESC page. You are obviously scheduled, so no need to worry.
You can email KCC and they will give you the date of your interview, or you can exercise some patience. Your call.
May 19, 2025 at 11:23
Hi Simon, I hope you are doing well.
My host fill in the i-134 form but, he didn’t select any options in PART 1.
To show who he is fill in for.
He also forgot to fill in the employment status area in PART 2.
Will it affect me when I get to my interview?
Or what do you have to say about this?
May 19, 2025 at 17:48
You can complete your own details, and perhaps add the employment status.
May 17, 2025 at 09:17
Hello Mr. Simon, have a nice day. My case number is 2025AS15×××
There are 8,500 cases before you and 3,556 after you in the Asia region. that yields approximately 16359 people before and 6837 after you …
* Does this mean I will get an appointment for the interview, embassy in Djibouti
* Here it was mentioned that there are 3556 cases after me. Does that mean that I will get 2nl in the remaining time until the end of August, even though the bulletin did not reach 16,000 in the Asia region?
Considering the bulletin being slow for this year 9000 I don’t want me and those close to my case number to be worried and with your experience Mr. Simon please reassure us Will we get 2NL before the end of the financial year September 2025 .
Thank you very much Mr Simon
May 17, 2025 at 11:54
It is not certain that you will get an interview. There are no guarantees.
May 14, 2025 at 03:56
What do you think Asia’s final limit will be by September?
May 14, 2025 at 09:43
We have to wait and see.
May 14, 2025 at 03:51
Hi Simon, why is the number of current users so low so far, especially from Asia?
May 14, 2025 at 09:43
I don’t know.
May 13, 2025 at 02:50
my Case Number is 2025AS9009 I am from Nepal, any predictions for me?
May 13, 2025 at 20:23
I predict you will need to be a bit more patient.
May 10, 2025 at 10:05
How are you Mr. Simon?
My case number is 2025as155++ . Will I have a chance for the visa ?
Answer my question please and thank you very much for your great efforts.
May 10, 2025 at 11:06
Yes you still have a chance.
May 8, 2025 at 22:54
Hello Samon, do you think 2025 AS 26815 will be interviewed?
May 8, 2025 at 22:55
Probably not.
May 8, 2025 at 02:15
Hi Mr Simon
My case number is 2026AF81xxx
Do I have a chance of getting a Visa?
May 8, 2025 at 10:27
It sounds like a high number, but we don’t have enough information to be making good assumptions.
https://britsimonsays.com/dv-2026-case-numbers-what-do-we-know-so-far/
May 2, 2025 at 12:17
Some informational videos say that in the eleventh and twelfth months of the fiscal year, all cases with the above numbers become current, is that correct?
May 2, 2025 at 14:04
No. Some regions go current, in some years. Not all.
May 1, 2025 at 01:48
Hello, Mr. Simon, do you think case number AS 27000 from Afghanistan will be interviewed?
May 1, 2025 at 10:05
No.
May 2, 2025 at 05:51
Because last year, Asia was Carent
AS 27,500 in September?
May 2, 2025 at 08:21
I know. My answer doesn’t change. Now you can wait and see what actually happens.
May 2, 2025 at 11:53
Based on your experiences and possibilities, to what high number of cases will Asia become current this year?
May 2, 2025 at 06:26
Does that mean I have no hope?
April 30, 2025 at 22:21
Hi Brit, Regarding Montreal, Canada embassy, it seems that they were up to date in March but nothing is happening since March 21st. I try to analyze their numbers “BritSimon way” and it looks like they have slowed down sending out 2nls. and processing further numbers. what is your thoughts and analysis Sir? by the way I really appreciate what you are doing, putting out quality information.
May 1, 2025 at 09:49
MTL haven’t marked 2NLs as received. I don’t know if they are in the 250+ cases still in transit status. So – it is too soon to assume anything, and in any case, missing one month isn’t conclusive.
April 28, 2025 at 12:41
hello my case number AS12500.How do you think?
April 28, 2025 at 18:46
The number should get current.
May 6, 2025 at 23:06

April 27, 2025 at 17:43
Hi simon my cn is 2025OC2312. my embssy is Suva, Fiji. Is there a chance for me to get a interview?
April 27, 2025 at 23:38
Maybe, but I think your number will be too high.
April 26, 2025 at 12:00
Hi Simon, how you doing today?
What does it mean when a case status is like this?
Ready 2
Refuse 1
April 26, 2025 at 13:13
Look at CEAC for that case to understand better
April 23, 2025 at 13:24
Hi simon my cn is 2025AF365xx it is current my embssy is addis Ababa is their chance for me to intervwe?
April 23, 2025 at 17:31
Addis accepted well over 300 interviews, but did not reach your number. You will most likely get an interview notice next month (July interview).
April 18, 2025 at 11:59
Hi Simon, how you doing today?
How can I check my embassy performance?
Because GuidedMein is not working again.
April 18, 2025 at 13:25
I created a video to explain that which you can watch below. But it has become even easier. Xarthisius has produced a spreadsheet for you to download on his site which shows all the interviews scheduled by embassy in each 1000 range of numbers. You can also see how many 2NLs that embassy accepted each month. His site is linked below.

April 17, 2025 at 10:48
Hi Simon, thank you so much for the information you keep providing.
May God bless you for your hard work.
I have a question on education qualification,
Especially for High school degree.
Between the Diploma and the Examination results or certificate,
Which of them the consular office approved you for?
April 17, 2025 at 23:09
It varies. So – be prepared to show all education proof.
April 8, 2025 at 05:05
Hi Mr. Simon,
I highly appriciate your hard work.
How can I know if my case number is current by checking my DS-260 on line?
Can I email Kcc asking them about my my 2nl if yes, what I the steps ?
April 8, 2025 at 08:38
A case number is current when it is lower than the number shown on the VB. KCC can answer whether the DS260 is processed or not.
March 24, 2025 at 09:48
Hey Simon I’m from Morocco my Cn AF38k could they attend this number considering that embassy is late on interviews.
Thank you
March 24, 2025 at 13:36
Maybe.
March 24, 2025 at 05:51
Gooday Mr Brit was to check about the performance at Zimbabwe Harare Embassy is it really performing for 2025
March 24, 2025 at 13:32
I showed how you can assess your embassy during my live video yesterday. Please look at that.

March 27, 2025 at 12:51
I cannot predict the future actions of embassies…
March 11, 2025 at 02:32
Goodmorning @ Brit Simon
Thank you for this positive energy that you bring to this DViste community.
However, let me know when a 2ndl and a probable interview for a CN of AF52+++?
Cotonou Embassy.
Thank you!
March 11, 2025 at 06:01
Should be OK – but wait and see.
March 10, 2025 at 08:53
hi simon,my case number 30475 2nl late or fail
March 10, 2025 at 10:35
You don’t mention your region.
March 9, 2025 at 21:44
Hi Mr. Simon,
Firt of all, I would like to appriciate for your hard work gathering information of the DV lottery.
It would be great if you could tell me why the Vientiane Embassy POST in Laos is process too slow.
How many cases have done by now? and how many are waiting in schedule queue?
When my case should normally be schedule for interview?
I got case number AS8xxx and still waiting for 2nl, and hopefully it would come to my inbox one day this year.
March 10, 2025 at 10:34
I posted a video on how to analyze the performance of an embassy. Please look at that.
February 23, 2025 at 14:51
Hi Mr Simon. Do you think that af34k will be current in the next visa bulletin?
February 24, 2025 at 08:28
Maybe
February 22, 2025 at 16:32
Hi Simon,
Please I would like to know if KCC and the Embassy which sends the 2nl, and also when should we be expecting 2nls for case no. AF15xxx (Interview location is Sierra Leone). I am a bit confused because I emailed KCC about the status of my case and , they replied:
” Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. If you are scheduled for an interview date, you will receive notification via email to check https://dvprogram.state.gov. If you need to make changes to your DS-260 you should contact the consular section where you will be interviewed, or bring the information about your changes to your interview appointment. Because your case is ready to be scheduled, KCC can no longer unlock your application.”
2.Is it possible to transfer the case to a different embassy when our case no. has been current for a while.
February 22, 2025 at 16:40
KCC sends the 2NLs, but based on the capacity that the embassy sets. Freetown is backlogged, having accepted only 16 cases on Feb 21. If they keep up that pace, then it will be at least 2 or 3 months before they get to you. Of course they could increase or decrease their capacity too.
Once you are current for interview processing, it is hard to change.
February 22, 2025 at 17:21
Yes sir my case no. Is Af25*** Freetown embassy and my case is current but up to date no 2nl and the highest case number scheduled for interview is 28876 am worry would I be able to get interview
February 22, 2025 at 23:38
You can use the same understanding to decide what to do.
February 17, 2025 at 03:27
Goodday Simon,I submitted my application late November, when can I expect to get my 2nl?
February 17, 2025 at 08:37
To be scheduled three things have to be true.
1. Your DS260 is finished processing
2. Your case number is current
3. Your embassy has available interview capacity
From what you have said, I have no idea about any of those three factors for your case.
February 18, 2025 at 01:25
1. Currently it’s saying it’s at NVC
2.My case number is AF18***
3.my embassy is Harare
February 18, 2025 at 21:34
Your embassy has only taken 2 cases so far this year. So there is some risk. All you can do is hope your embassy starts working.
February 26, 2025 at 03:50
Oh okay,so my late November submission isn’t really an issue?
February 26, 2025 at 09:04
No.
February 15, 2025 at 00:06
Goodmorning @ Brit Simon from Nairobi.
I have looked at xarthisius 15th Feb data and I am grateful.
My question is about 2NL issuance..
Is it that embassies usually signal to
KCC that they are ready to accept and with how much capacity or what happens ?
Thank you…
February 15, 2025 at 09:12
Yes, each embassy sets their own capacity and informs KCC on a monthly basis.
February 17, 2025 at 05:05
Nairobi is the worst performing so far in Africa… I think they were congratulated too much last year until now they’ve decided to mess people up.. They ought to just do their job.. Nkt..
February 22, 2025 at 00:05
Again No 2NLs yet for the month of April…Could Nairobi be waiting for a trump effect?
February 22, 2025 at 08:08
Nothing to do with Trump.
February 22, 2025 at 08:29
🤣🤣 let me just laugh at myself..I am sorry , I’ve been anxious but i better relax and just be patient.. My fear has been that they could be delaying and if anything happens like staff reduction or travel bans ,then they would have a perfect excuse of not processing DV..
February 22, 2025 at 09:04
They didn’t issue any DV cases in October (before the election) or November, then they issued many in December (after the election.
This has nothing to do with Trump.
Meanwhile it does seem they have increased IR (immediate relative) processing.
February 22, 2025 at 11:54
I totally understand now… I will just keep quiet and wait. They are Posibly clearing IR visa backlog before coming back to DV. I am sure they will surprise us pleasantly… Thank you so much for your dedication to assist people.
February 14, 2025 at 04:42
Hello, Mr. Simon.
How do you think my CN AS7***.In Asia region, there is no increase CN till April. How do you think?
February 14, 2025 at 14:19
I have already given my thoughts on the final cutoff for Asia. Relax and be patient.
June 16, 2025 at 05:56
Hi Simon, I am for the do 2026 and my case number is 64k , Cameroon , Africa. I already submitted DS260. I’m I chanced?
June 16, 2025 at 16:48
I don’t know.
