The numbers are released – theses are for September interviews – meaning these are the final numbers that will be made current this year. Case numbers higher than these numbers will not get any benefit from their DV lottery selection in the DV2015 lottery.
I have to say – I am slightly stunned by some of these numbers. It ooks like a mistake – BUT I remember that very same feeling last year and it turned out to be true.
Very very sad…
AFRICA 50000 (Last month 44250)
ASIA – 7650 (Last month 7650)
Nepal:7150 (Last month 7150)
EUROPE – 43050 (Last month 39750)
OCEANIA – 1490 (Last month 1325)
SOUTH AMERICA, and the CARIBBEAN – 1350 (Last month 1350)

July 10, 2015 at 20:08
Your DV case is now ended. I’m sorry. The USA is criticized when it interferes with other countries, and when it does not do enough. I hope things get better for you.
July 10, 2015 at 20:26
Hello Brit Am just concerned. I am a selectee for AF2016 with a case number slightly above the last Bulletin for AF2015. I have submitted my form DS260. Can I participate in the DV2017 come october just a precautionery measure incase my 2016 number does not go current. Or will it affect the processing of my 2016 chance. Would love to hear from your
July 10, 2015 at 20:32
Yes you can enter DV2017 – there is no harm in that.
July 10, 2015 at 20:32

July 10, 2015 at 21:09
Is there any case in the past years that KCC changed or updated the released VB?
July 10, 2015 at 21:34
Yes – there have been corrections 2 or 3 times over the last 3 years that I have been watching.
July 11, 2015 at 02:32
Really !!!! Was it in finals .. Can u show me 🙂
July 11, 2015 at 05:26
No it was not in the finals – and I cannot “show” you since the corrections were made.

Hi brit,, please tell me I from Egypt, my cn 305** and I completed my fourm from may 2014,, These new vb mean me wait 2NL to interview in September ?? Please Please reply 🙂
July 10, 2015 at 21:57
YES I keep saying yes – you are current and will get your 2NL in about 2 weeks for a September interview!
July 10, 2015 at 21:37
Brit, You have been doing a wonderful job informing us on the insights of this dv lottery thing. You eased our pain some how. I have the feeling that it is not even a lottery anymore because of what this year has showed us. The guys at kcc really do not care about people’s feeling, do they? Thank God I knew I will not fall below the cut off. For anyone going in for any lottery, please do not place all hopes in it. Good luck to all in other endeavors.
July 10, 2015 at 21:58
They don’t think about the individuals – they just try and fill the quotas…
July 10, 2015 at 22:09
good bye america
July 10, 2015 at 23:05
What can the fact that only a few hundreds of CN’s from Europe have not become current mean? While looking at Africa and Asia results where thousands of CN’s are outside the set limit I have a feeling that some foul game is going on. What’s the explanation? What do you think? Or is it just that EU and AF were given the same quotas (around 50K CN to consider)? Or is it more complicated than that?
July 10, 2015 at 23:48
It is complicated – and it is all driven by a formula that determines the way the visas are allocated. In reality, AF region get more than any other region, but they had way too many selectees and many of the selectees added derivatives to their cases (getting married, having babies etc).
July 11, 2015 at 00:51
I cant believe it. Im finally current wow 47xxx i been waiting for 15months thx Brit i guess u remember me…lol do you know i went through your website every single day….finally!!!!!!!!!
July 11, 2015 at 00:59
July 11, 2015 at 02:14
Do you think the same think will happen with DV 2016 or will they learn from they mistake and work faster?
July 11, 2015 at 05:25
They only strive to fill the quota – if they have too many people, not everyone gets interviewed – so we are not sure they made a mistake yet….
July 11, 2015 at 03:19
I am Finally current 2015AF47xxx. So sorry for others though.
Now that I am current, when can I expect the 2nd letter?
Sending my package on Monday (For AOS)! I hope everything goes fine. Could I get a link for the note stating that AoS have the right to file early? I want to print it and add it in my package. Thank you
July 11, 2015 at 05:21
Fabrice, the question about the 2NL shows you are not paying attention to Mom. PLEASE do that – I cannot guide you as well as she can.
July 11, 2015 at 04:22
thank you very much sir for all !!!
July 11, 2015 at 06:04
I just went to visa bulletin and couldn’t see the September number. (the upcoming visa bulletin shows August 2015), so maybe they found the error and trying to do some updates now? Hopefully this is true and that the final cutoff will go higher for Asia. Fingers crossed!
July 11, 2015 at 06:11
August bulletin contains notigication for september current number. Very sorry,we miss the chance. Let us try for 2017,before US congress terminate the program
July 11, 2015 at 06:30
when will start to come second latter for DV 2016?
July 11, 2015 at 17:09
About 6 weeks for the earliest cases.
July 11, 2015 at 07:35
Our all dreams break so easily in second ….. Tears doesnt stop from my eye..
July 11, 2015 at 10:05
15 month waiting for nothing…
July 11, 2015 at 17:07
July 11, 2015 at 17:46
Hi Brit !
i made a simple mistake on my original form and make a correction on ds260form about my marital status. they have my data at the embassy when i apply for my tourist visa which is active. do u think zy disqualify me or shall i hope z CO will reconsider it and go for interview?
July 11, 2015 at 23:41
Explain what the mistake was. Certain mistakes like that can get you disqualified.
July 12, 2015 at 00:16
since we’re more informed with the ceac data a bunch of us as many as possible can send them emails as many as possible highlighting the no shows and that they may under fill the quota for Africa. It wouldn’t hurt we have nothing to lose. We need to send as many emails as we can. To get their attention.
July 12, 2015 at 01:23
If the final number is 50,000, then what becomes of us that have number greater than 50,000? For me my number is 60,028. what can I do now?
July 12, 2015 at 01:37
Sadly, there is nothing more to do. The final number is released – and your number is above that – so you will not get an interview and cannot process your case further.
I’m sorry – try again for DV2017.
July 12, 2015 at 09:04
hi brit i didn’t make it for the last visa bulletin, my case number is 55***. But i want to ask you one thing, currently I am a refugee and living in a neighbor country. I have a us citizen relative is it possible for him to sponsor me to come to the united states.
July 12, 2015 at 14:31
It depends on what relation he is – if he is your sibling or parent, then yes maybe. Otherwise, no.
July 12, 2015 at 09:59
so sad brit….
waiting for 2017…thx for all

July 14, 2015 at 10:23
It may be too late for you to change but yes that embassy is open. Your could call kcc to discuss it.
July 15, 2015 at 02:21
hi brit does it means that the pipo for AF has more or less advantages?
July 15, 2015 at 08:37

Your number is a bit high though.
July 19, 2015 at 18:28
Hy Simon, I would first like to thank you for the good work you are doing big ups! My question is do you think I still have the chance my case number is 2015af00044***? I’m worried coz up to now I haven’t been scheduled for interviews.

Within the next few days you will get the 2NL.

Hi simon is it possible for the KCC to reschedule more interviews by the end of September if they realize that many people come out with REFUSED or if Many AP cases can’t be resolved. I mean additionnal case numbers above 50 000
July 20, 2015 at 08:56
I had the same thinking..after a long research i realize it is not imposible…perhaps Brit may enlighten us more on this
July 21, 2015 at 04:05

July 20, 2015 at 12:26
You will be a winner if only you enter a dv 2016.. if you did not get a chance for 2015,that means the end of dream for getting to USA through dv lottery for year 2015.. am sorry to reply but that is the truth..
July 20, 2015 at 13:02
They do not do that…
July 20, 2015 at 14:14
But they doing this brits…i want to have one testimony for one dv2015 applicant who have case above 50000
July 21, 2015 at 04:00
No they are not doing this!
July 27, 2015 at 12:31
Allow me to ask, the cut off for 2015 was 50,000
1. Does it mean this was for AF only?
2. Why or what explanation is there for having selected 125000 but only gave 50000?
3. From the table above the cut off for 2014 was 81000 but 2015 is 50000 what could be the reason behind this? does it imply that for 2016 it might be lower or higher?
July 27, 2015 at 13:35
1. The 50,000 cutoff was the cutoff for AF. Each region has its own number range and its own cutoff.
2. There is always a lot more selectees than spaces to allow for the many people who do not process their win, or get refused and so on.
3. The largest difference was the exclusion of Nigeria, I have written explaining that previously – use the search feature for “Nigeria” and “holes theory” to understand better.
July 27, 2015 at 13:04
Honest there is no such a ratio of selecting 125000 people and giving chance to 50000 this is so weird ?????rethink
July 27, 2015 at 13:31
They normally selected about 100,000 and that worked out fine.
July 28, 2015 at 00:16
Hi Mr. Brit
I was being current in the last VB 2015 and I recieved my 2NL last week, but my statut still at NVC ?? this is ok or I should do something ?
July 28, 2015 at 06:57
This is normal – nothing for you to do.
July 28, 2015 at 10:19
hi.pls am 2015 DV WINNER FROM LIBERIA AND I HAVE BEEN SCHELDULE FOR AN INTERVIEW IN SEPT.MAY I GO FOR MY MEDICAL NOW OR WEEK BEFORE INTERVIEW? THANKS
July 28, 2015 at 15:02
That is up to you. Just remember that the visa expiry will be based on the medical date – so doing the medical early will mean a shorter expiry time on your visa.
