Each year we have some technical challenges and this year is no exception.
Many people have reported that they cannot submit their DS260. There are a number of reasons that can cause that. Here are the things to try:
| Symptom | Possible solution |
| “Your request cannot be processed at this time” | Try using a different browser. So if using Chrome, try Edge and so on. |
| “Case number doesn’t match with case number” | Where you enter your case number, remove the leading zeros. So – where the case number is for example 2018AF000012345 , you would enter 2018AF12345. |
| Form will not submit for a male under 26 | Click the link on the final page about selective service. Then the form will submit. |
Also remember you can save progress as you enter your DS260 – so save as you go.

During the correction I did not erase the zeros of the box number, in addition to the last step I checked in the red rectangle or I am a man. That’s a confusing message, but the “incomplete” part tells me you have not resubmitted. You need to figure out what the form needs to be resubmitted.

The DS260 expects your number without the leading zeros. As for why its “not going through” – you have to be more clear.

hi! My mom tried to sign and submit her Ds260 application, but she’s seeing red arrows on the passport number. She even tried her old and new passport a few times, but every time she clicks the sign and submit button. It refreshes to the same page where she needs to fill up her passport and case number again before she can even continue to the confirmation or sign and submit button. It’s getting a little frustrating and upsetting.

firstly thank you for helping to undertsand dv lottery. Im a dv2021 winner from asia region. There are two mistakes that i did on the application form and wanted to know what can i do now and does those mistakes matter.
1) In my photo im wearing eyeglasses. But since i am already selected i heard that it doesnot matter as of now. Im already a selectee. So what can i do now. Should i contact kcc? Or should i continue the processing and see what the consular officer has to say?
2) Im in the final year of my bachelors. But in application i selected ‘university degree’ which i dont have as of now. And in ds260 i selected ‘University, no degree’ and submitted my DS260. Should i unlock my DS260 and select university degree. Or it doesnot matter? Btw im expecting my degree by the end of this year

I have received a letter from Kentucky Consular Center since June 06 2020 that I have been randomly selected for further processing in the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program for the fiscal year 2021 (October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021).
Furthermore I have a technical problem in submitting my DS-260 online form and the status of my application is still incomplete. In the end where it says sign and submit application, a red arrow indication keeps re-occurring where I had to fill in my passport number which I’m sure I had fill in my correct passport number.
Also I had carefully followed the DV instructions where you enter your case number, remove the leading zeros -so where the case number is for example 2021AF000012345, you would enter 2021AF12345.
I had also tried using different browser. So if using chrome, I tried Microsoft edge and so on.
I wonder whether this might lead to the consular electronic application center site currently under maintenance. Would it take months for a site like CEAC (Consular Electronic Application Center) to fix any website issues? If so, would you please advise.
I am concerned as it is months since both my priority date and final action date became current. Is anyone experiencing same issue and if so how are you moving ahead with the document submission.
Is it to late to submit my DS-260 Application online now? when would be the right time.
Any suggestion or advise will be greatly appreciated.
