As we know, on Friday KCC started sending 2NLs. However after a short time the 2NLs stopped being sent. Some people were able to check their ESC page and see the notification, others found ESC is still not updated. YOu can check the ESC site here.
The CEAC system was update late Friday evening, so every case that has been scheduled has been updated in that system. It is clear some technical problem stopped them sending the actual 2NLs, but the interviews ARE scheduled!
If you are still waiting for your 2NL, and think you should have been expecting a June interview you will most likely get the 2NL within a day or two. However if you want to check that you can go to the CEAC site and enter your number without leading zeros. So if your number is 2015AF00012345 you enter that as 2015AF12345. Click the search button and a window will popup with a status.
If you see “at NVC” it means you have not been scheduled for a June interview.
If you see “in Transit” or “READY” it means you have been scheduled and just need to wait patiently until the 2NL arrives.

I have published several explanations of my theories. Essentially the numbers are more dense this year because Nigeria was excluded, so 80k in 2014 is NOT the same as 80K in 2015.

NVC is simply the default status – ignore the message it is meaningless for you. All you need to do is wait. Your number is not current yet, so there is no way you would see any other status. I would expect your case to become current for an August interview.

You will be current in September most likely (possibly August but doubtful). It is 100% safe. YOu could email KCC to check on your DS260 – but it is not necessary.

Help me to clear my dilemma. I have categorically two questions. It is related with DS260. At my request DS260 has been unlocked (and it is still open) to correct surname at birth of my mother.
1. I have no document that says her maiden name but I know my grand mother’s surname. Will it be appropriate for me to choose I do not know option considering I have no document or I should follow the knowledge I have?
2 I am from Nepal In place of my school name I have written it in English. In my academic transcript+Certificate school name is written in Nepali term for Example XYZ Ma Vi. I wrote the school name as XYZ High School. Though we used to know our school as the name what I have written in English. Is it considered as a mistake? Or I can change that information XYZ Ma Vi now just to maintain the consistency with transcript and certificate even though I have asked to unlock my DS260 in different context to correct Surname of my mother only?
My interview is already been scheduled and it is just 2 weeks away.

It is unusual they scheduled your interview while your form is unlocked. Neither point was ever an issue, you are worrying over trivial details. Lock the form without changes and get ready for the interview.

Yes – it will stay that way until you are scheduled and the 2NL has been sent. That is normal. The 2NL should come out in 7 to 10 days.

So you have your girlfriend added as your wife but you don’t have a marriage certificate. You cannot process her unless you are married. If you cannot marry before the interview you will not be able to obtain a visa for her. The CO might be suspicious of the whole thing so you will have to explain everything and see what the CO says.
With what you have done, I cannot give you any advice to make your process “safe” – there is going to be some risk of denial.

OK – that might be OK then – although they will probably see there is an applicant added. Is there no way to marry before the interview – it will save a lot of hassle later…
