Once you receive your interview notification (the 2NL) you may be required to create an online account with a courier service that the embassies use to manage their communications with appointment holders. Id this registration is required, it will be communicated to you, or described in the embassy spefic instructions.

I regularly get questions on how to register, even though it is a very simple process. In general I think people just don’t pay attention to the choices, and they see messages like “there are no appointments available” or something similar. Because the embassies don’t all use the same system, I have avoided creating instructions before, but after one more question this morning, I have caved in. 🙂

So – in order to try and guide you, if you need that help, please read below.

Not all the systems will be identical. But one of the common courier systems is at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/

In their system you first of all choose the country/language you want.

Once you have chosen your country/language, on the next page you will scroll down until you see the link to REGISTER as arrowed below. Select that link.

You then see the sign up button and will choose the option shown below, or something with similar wording.

The next page is where people go wrong. There are a list of options, several of which will take the use to a place to try and book an appointment. As a DV case you ALREADY HAVE your 2NL which shows you appointment. You only need to create an account.

For some reason people sometimes don’t read all the available options, and miss the one that I have highlighted below. It mentions Diversity Lottery, so I would think that would be most obvious to people, but I am surprised that I still get questions.

So choose the option that mentions Diversity Lottery (or DV lottery) and from there it should be straightforward.

You only need one account for the family. So complete the details as required and you will be all set.

That’s it! Not complicated at all!
