Congratulations for all because Federal judge blocks administration from denying immigrants visas unless they can prove access to health insurance!!

Yes – for now. The admin will appeal of course.

Hi Brit, you are always appreciated. It’s 2/3 of the month and January visa bulletin not released. Should this stare done worries?
November 10, 2019 at 10:03
Hi Brit
Interview Success. And passports received. Appreciation to you BRIT.
READERS: Over-prepare as BRIT told you and here is why:
Interview process in Riyadh was smooth with standard steps.
I did not provide I-134 because I can support myself financially more than the $ numbers requested.
At First window he asked for the originals documents and copies and other standard question.
Then he asked if i have money, I gave bank statement.
Then he asked if i have properties or other finance sources,!! I WAS OVER-PREPARED (as you said Brit) I provided copies.
At counselor interview window, she asked standard question.
and she commented on my Bank statement and I confirmed the written $ value.
AND she asked what is my plan in USA, I talked my plan, and she responded “so would you accept low income jobs if things did not go well soon?” my answered was “Sure yes”.
So guys follow Brit instructions.
Question:
1- After I received passport (with Visa) and documents package, I found out in the “Immigrant Data Summary” that Embassy sent us that the “Mother’s Surnames” was swapped with “Mother’s Given Name” (For Main Applicant and for one Child); I checked in DS260 it was shuffled when i entered it. What is the best action to take?. Contact (email) Embassy?, or has no big effect? or what do you recommend? Thanks.
November 11, 2019 at 15:29
If it is on your visas, contact the embassy.
November 11, 2019 at 17:54
The immigrant USA Visa stamp on the passport does not include mother’s name or mother’s family, and the rest of visa stamp information is correct.
The mother’s name//family shuffle is showing in the A4 photocopy paper (“Immigrant Data Summary”) which is stapled to the sealed folder.
Any recommendations? Thanks.
November 11, 2019 at 18:19
Then no problem.
November 15, 2019 at 19:31
Thanks very much Simon for your relentless help through this platform.
I have my cousin with CN 2020AF00049xxx who was notified in May by the agent who did play her the Lottery. The agent is currently in the USA. My cousin only noticed that the agent didn’t use her right date of birth upon entry. The agent never informed my cousin about that. This was only found out when my cousin was in the process of filling her form DS-260, whereby she couldn’t login. After contacting the agent now based in the USA, the agent requested she(my cousin) can’t have access to login, rather she should forward all her documents to him (the agent).
Please, can anything be done for this USA based agent to release her information?
November 16, 2019 at 05:10
No.
November 23, 2019 at 22:09

November 7, 2019 at 16:04
Thanks Brit Simon for all that you do for DV .
If my husband is British (which is ineligible for DV lottery) but enters and claims eligibility of spouse from Zimbabwe,
1. where would he have the DV interview?.(Zimbabwe or the UK?)
2.Would he be eligible for adjustmebt of Status in the USA if wifw arleady has a green card
3.i was reading Adjustment of status and there is examption INA 245(I) where DV selectees -even with overstayed visas can file form 1-485. do you know anything about it?
Thanks.
November 9, 2019 at 04:31
1. Anywhere.
2. It has nothing to do with her status.
3. Not true.
November 9, 2019 at 20:21
Thank you Brit Simon.
please read into the 245(i) here.i may have not understood it properly.
https://www.ilrc.org/sites/default/files/resources/245i_everything_you_want_to_know-20180628.pdf
November 9, 2019 at 23:52
Also, on the 1-485 form, part 1, DV lottery is part 1g. And it says in part 2 that if you filled in DV lottery, you have to fill supplement A to form 1-485 , Adjustement of status under 245 (i).
Please look through it and see. Its confusing. I know you can help us with your brilliant brain.
Thanks.
November 10, 2019 at 03:41
I don’t have time to study something I already know.

Great!
November 5, 2019 at 14:32
Hi Simon,
We are gathering documents at the moment. We are from Poland but live in the UK and will have an interview in the UK.
Do we have to translate to English our high school and uni diplomas and emails etc proving our relationship or only birth & marriage certificates?
Thanks for helping out!
November 6, 2019 at 03:31
Probably all documents – but read the instructions.
November 4, 2019 at 17:20
Dear brit,
Do u think this health insurance requirement will run just like the travel ban? ie it gets blocked by a federal judge for a couple of weeks, gets a ton of public attention, Trump having to defend it, supreme court ends up getting involved, it is then declared constitutional and will be enforced.
November 4, 2019 at 17:36
Let me check my crystal ball and get back to you.
November 5, 2019 at 01:23
lol. last night, I was talking about the comments from this website to my wife, and she told me that you have become a fortune teller. 🙂
November 6, 2019 at 02:40
LOL
November 10, 2019 at 04:47
Hahahahaha Chelsea all the way
November 4, 2019 at 12:24
Hello Mr. Brit!
i was chosed in 2020
i my lottery entry i used name of my city: Ekaterinburg
in internet there are 2 versions of my city names: Yekaterinburg and Ekaterinburg (like in wiki and etc). But there are more Yekaterinburg…
so there be no disqualification if in DS 260 i will use Yekaterinburg instead of Ekaterinburg? or which city name i should use?
Thanks for your work.
Best regards!
November 4, 2019 at 15:17
You can choose.
November 3, 2019 at 19:07
28 days are supposed to be 28-working days excluding weekends, right Brit? Then, how do we access the Judge Simon’s ruling online so that we can print and bring it to the interview?
November 3, 2019 at 19:33
Hi Brit I’m new hear and want to know few things, I won with case # 51xxx and looking at the way things went last I’m thinking as to weather I’m going to received interview for 2020.

Thank you Brits
November 3, 2019 at 11:16
Good News. Thanks a million Brit.
November 3, 2019 at 08:26
This is great news i wish it is rejected completely
November 3, 2019 at 08:08
Wow wow . That’s happy news , really . I hope it will be totally rejected by the Congress or supreme Court or whoever is in charge of blocking it . Thank you , again , Brit .
November 3, 2019 at 05:46
Either if they block or not, there is another factor to take in consideration: if you use any help from the government during your 5 years to get the citizenship, your application to citizenship could be negated. I really don’t want to run that risk, so I’am paying taxes and having proper health care insurance. What is your take on this Brit?
November 3, 2019 at 16:38
Immigrants should avoid taking public assistance. There are plenty of jobs available. There should not be a need.
November 22, 2019 at 00:28
not true britsymon, i have been in usa since jan 2019, i have a master degree in Law from Dublin, i have many years working as a HR Manager, here in Texas the only job i can find is these hard jobs, e.g., warehouse, cleaning, lifting and packing boxes. Based on my experience and those of other people i met who are in my experience, i hereby disagree with you Mr. Brit, its wrong to say their many jobs, you need to be telling people the truth that the many jobs you are talking about are these bad jobs that do not even pay well.
Conclusion: If you have a good job in your country of origin, please i beg you DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE WE MADE OF LEAVING OUR JOBS IN IRELAND AND MOVING TO USA. In the name of God i have to tell you the truth that life is very very and really very difficult in USA. I regret spending so much for this green card because now we are packing our stuff and going back to Dublin.
November 23, 2019 at 17:04
What a daft comment! Some people make it, some people don’t. Sorry you didn’t make a success here, but your lack of success does not mean success cannot be achieved, simply that you couldn’t make it. That has more to do with you than the opportunities here. Other should make their own decisions.
November 23, 2019 at 17:10
By the way, I deleted a couple of your other posts because you say even more daft & stupid things and some absolutely absurd/insulting things. Don’t post any more of that nonsense please.
November 24, 2019 at 01:39
lol i did not know that you can react so angrily like this for just telling u the truth. anyway i will not get angry simply because your services are still a bit important even though i still believe that u can make it even more important by being honest. Thank you Britsimon
November 24, 2019 at 01:59
Jeez. There you go again.
First – messages I deleted had **ridiculous** comments including your most stupid comment “most” American women turn to prostitution! What a completely stupid thing to say – and then wonder why I reacted as I did.
And here you are saying I am being dishonest. Again – do you hear the nonsense coming out of your mouth? Show me where I have been dishonest? I have no idea what you did to find work, but you have given up after less than a year – which tells me you don’t have what it takes. But instead of looking to yourself – you blame my “dishonesty” and say American women are prostitutes. Idiotic. Simply put.
I have never said it is easy here. There are PLENTY of opportunities, and I have know MANY people who have succeeded here, along with some that fail. That is life – some people have a way of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Others work hard, take their opportunities and make something for themselves.
November 24, 2019 at 02:16
Mr Britsimon
I appreciate your response, unfortunately u rushed to delete my other message and u even seem very happy to have done that, honestly this is very unreasonable of u. I never said that i want to sue you for promissory estoppel, so why did u delete my other message? All i meant to say is we moved to USA based on advises u gave us during our DV process, had u told us the reality of the standard of living here we were not going to come.
Even though at first you were just being rude and insensitive to my concerns and of those people in my situation, now i have to admit that the last part in your last message sounds more sensitive and human, i can even call it a motivating message.
I never insulted anyone, not even USA women, all i did was saying loud what those women told me when i asked a few of them why they do prostitution and this is because i volunteer in a charity that support women in prostitution.
Once again thanks
November 24, 2019 at 02:46
It’s best you stop posting. You are incredibly unwise. You actually said most American women are prostitutes. Pretty obviously most women you meet through a charity that supports prostitutes will be prostitutes. But you base your comments on that sampling. That is breathtakingly daft.
Your other comments were at the same level of daft, so I’ll just leave it at that.
November 24, 2019 at 03:15
Hahahaha lol
November 27, 2019 at 14:49
You need to respect people who sacrifice their times helping others. America is not for the feeble-minded. You have to accept to start from somewhere. No matter your qualification if you can’t accept to start from somewhere then America is not for you. Yes, I will tell People America is the best place in the world but nothing will meet you at home. I have not won the DV yet but have been playing for the past 8 years. Although i never won myself, i played for others and they won!! about 15 with two cases waiting for Interview this year. Those who won are doing extremely fine in the US. Some in just two years have been able to achieve what they never achieved their whole lives. Yes America is the promise land for some of us from poor background in Africa. They have given opportunities for us to work, and change the situations in our families and generations and to see you write saying the alternative i wonder why you even played in the first place. You don’t know how luck you are. I wish i had your place. Go home to mummy and sit without working hard and lets see if food will meet you at home.
November 28, 2019 at 17:40
Funny Guy. America is just a Land where the perception from outside is different from the reality inside. Outside we held out take of America at a high margin easy for us to get disappointed when it don’t work as we earlier on thought it should be. Nonetheless its a system that you just can fit in like that. Takes time, effort and smartness for things to go ur way. Every opportunity is at your fingertips because basically through the net and technology is where everything revolves at. No place is easy if you don’t put in the work. January 2019 to now you are crying. Wow! Ironical how you say had Brit told you, you would not have migrated to the US, dishonesty to oneself at its very best. I understand the very fact that if you are in your country having a well paid job with guaranteed job security then there is no need for you to come here to start all over again because you will be disappointed but again its not Brits Job to predict your future because all cases are different some people despite the odds survives easily, other through hard work, others no way. But personally I can tell you even with my BA in my country, life wasn’t hell but I was struggling and just two years out me and my family its a huge difference. Wasn’t easy at first but in reality its just supposed to be like that, you moving to a forget country, starting all over, its not like you relocating with a job or something nah. My guy I started from nowhere but I have pull through with so many experiences and even helping other folks from my country when they get here. Here its not about how hard you work its about how smart you work and how smart you move to make things happen. Keep it moving don’t be disappointed too soon. Stay positive, it was never going to be easy no matter where you go only would have made a difference if it were your country of origin probably. But in America due to its diversity there are a lot of opportunities you can get here as an immigrant that you would probably not get anywhere. I have been here about two years now and people can only tell me they ve been long enough than me but can’t really tell how to make things work for me legally though cos I can easily find my way especially when it comes to picking up a job. Thanks
November 3, 2019 at 04:38
Now thats how to implement democracy in the country. I hope they will make a permanent decision after 28 days on the ban of health care proclamation.
November 3, 2019 at 04:22
Thanks Brits for this nice information, just a quick one can it be blocked till end of DV2020? Based on experience this block can last for how long? Wish it to be rejected by the court for good. Once again thanks Brits
November 3, 2019 at 16:35
I cannot predict that.
